When the University of the Philippines Engineering Students’ Guild (UPESG) asked me the organization photoshoot in 2016 I decided to use a black background...

Why the black background? Well, it’s the great equalizer. I just wanted people to look at these members without any biases. The president is no more important than the newest member when they’re in front of a black background. Everybody gets the same attention in this background. Every member is essential.

Why did I join this organization? It’s not because org-less people are group-less when it comes to class projects. It’s not because the UPLB student community is mean to the org-less and calls them barbarians. It’s not because there’s no table reserved for barbarians at the CEAT Lounge. No. I joined this organization to play basketball at the Engineering Meet. Hahaha… Happy 19th anniversary UPESG!

When you know how to use a camera people assume that you know how to do all kinds of photography. Of course that's not true... I'm not that photo shoot type of guy. That's why when my UPESG asked me to do a photo shoot (a studio kind of photo shoot) I had to do a lot of homework to make it happen... But don't get me wrong. Yes it was a lot of work, but it was a happy experience. I had fun photographing these people.
