Something something cerebrocrustacean headcanons, yada yada Dr Psychobos is not immune to the in-group bias
He's doing the one thing Azmuth did not do, viewing Malware as a son with special needs Dr Psychobos is fully willing to support :P

Here's another crackish idea:
While in his ghost form, Danny can emit extremely powerful ultraviolet rays. So powerful, in fact, that any Kryptonian that so happens to be nearby at the time can withstand Kryptonite poisoning and/or exposure. It doesn't affect normal humans, thankfully, but Kryptonian biology has always interacted differently with ectoplasm.
Danny's not complaining. Whenever it's a cloudy day in Metropolis, or one Super or another is down on their luck, Danny is happy to give a hug or hold hands to make their day a little brighter.

I will say- as much as companions being "too nice" is a non-issue for me what is a bit of an issue is how... clean and toothless some factions feel. And like yeah, the Crows and Lords of Fortune are obvious examples of how the game managed to make both murder and stealing ethical, locally sourced and all that good stuff. But also- for how much people talk about how bad Minrathous is... considering any time there is a mention of something bad like slavery it's always only the Venatori doing it... it feels like whole of Tevinter got defanged a little bit and that also means Shadow Dragons and the values they represent within Tevinter don't stand out as much (which is not really helped by the fact Viper, their leader, is an Altus). Or Gray Wardens who were supposed to have a lot more political power in the Anderfels which there is no way under the sun someone wouldn't have a problem with.
It's honestly a little bit bewildering to me that the only factions that Rook can have any sort of mixed opinions on that they state out loud is sort of the Mourn Watch- even then it's mostly just the one "!!!- I find dead creepy!" Dialogue option over and over. But at least it's there. I can't really be vocally uncomfortable with the Crows that much, or Lords of Fortune or Gray Wardens.
This isn't a big criticsm but I do wish that there was a bit more done with the fact Rook HAS to work with theese people. They may not like it. They may not support their methods. But they need them. It would be a small but effective way to let the players flesh out a little bit more who Rook is as a person and what their morals are.
The game talks a lot about having to make though choices when you are a leader and I would love to see that reflected in factions we have to ally with. And how they also have to make some though calls, ones that Rook may not approve of or like very much.

I understand that Rogue came out after AC3 and obviously AC3 writers didn't know that Rogue's will write in Shay in canon and that's why he's not along the Connor's targets, but some in lore explanation would be cool. like idk Achilles trying to hide his mistake out of shame or smth like that.
my friend suggested that maybe considering the fact that Shay went after the artifact after the events of the game he wasn't consider Colonial Rite Templar, but like in the "Well, there's a cliffhanger for Unity" scenes he considered himself one. so... idk, sounds a bit strange.
also I would really want a (good written) in canon interaction between Shay and Connor, considering they both had Achilles as a mentor but with completely different outcomes of it with one being the destroyer of Colonial Brotherhood and other pulling it out from non-existence. (p.s. I would be also interested in their different or maybe not so views on Haytham)
another suggestion for it - Achilles POV on these events (maybe in book. I know not everyone likes them, but I'm not really interested in Achilles as main character in the game...). And by these events I mean both AC3 and Rogue, maybe with with a little bit of his years as a pupil of Ah Tabai. this man lost his family, lost brotherhood and was fucking shot in the leg, I want to know what was going on in his head. like, after all these events he was alone for 9 years, what was going on in his thoughts when young Connor showed up at Homestead with "Yes, you are going to train me. I won't take no as answer.". Had he on some level to the end was afraid that the history will repeat? That he will fuck up again? That Haytham in the end will change Connor's view of these things? As unfinished Rogue is and feels (don't get me wrong i like this game but the fact is the fact and gods knows how i wish that development of this game hadn't been rushed), it gives Achilles as a failed mentor really interesting background.
anyway, i would want to hear someone else thoughts on this so....

never seen you talk about it, but I might’ve missed it. so uh any thoughts on c!eret at the red banquet? I miss her dearly
One of my favorite underrated moments, possibly in the whole server, is when c!Eret was about to be executed and calls the eggpire monsters for betraying everyone's trust. c!Ponk responds 'Okay Eret, you wanna talk about trust.' Obviously referencing the final control room, and c!Eret responds that 'he knew better now not to betray people's trust'. And I just find that fascinating because c!Ponk wasn't involved in the final control room. Yes his lemon tree technically kick-started the lore but he really didn't have anything to do with the revolution arc. And we got him making a snarky comment at c!Eret! I really like hearing characters within universe, react to other characters decisions and bring up their pasts especially characters who don't really interact that often, which the red banquet was kind of the end of the Dream SMP server getting together and having characters who weren't necessarily 'important' to that plot point, show up and interact in what felt like a natural way. (barring the prison break) For a story that became so focused on history, and how our choices impact how other people view us, I feel like that just didn't happen as much as it could have. Or should have, in my opinion.

Do you think Kes' ability to pick up on things so quickly is linked to her being an Ocampa? Like, since she's 2~ years old in canon (and has distinct memories of her father) I imagine her species doesn't spend much time as children and I wouldn't imagine they'd have formal schools (like entire buildings for schooling) and would instead learn from like, primarily parents or other elders. In that case learning things very quickly would be extremely beneficial for their survival. Kes: Oh yes, childhood...what a lovely few days~ Kes was a baby like for a day and then the next day she was up and ready to learn. Kes meets Naomi and every day that passes she becomes more and more amazed that she's still a baby. Wow! It's been like two months and she still can't do anything?? The doctor told her it was normal but wow. What I'm saying is they should have had Kes as a jack-of-all-trades character who could slide into pretty much any of the teams on Voyager. The Doc misses her when she's not in sickbay though!

By the way, Lucanis’ mind prison section was just confirmation that his personal/romantic storyline was not finished on release lol that was the most slap dash first draft bullshit I’ve ever seen.

anyone else a bit confused about Coral Island’s worldbuilding of merfolk? Like the fact they mention coffee but then there is the event where Miranjani tastes it for the first time. Not complaining just curious. What are your headcanons?
also they canonically have therapists there, just saying (Emeil I will never forget you)

Why did Tojo-san decide to become a maid?

I think that because she could do anything, she felt it was boring to use her power for herself and felt more comfortable serving others, and that is why she was so selfless.

the thing with doctor who i think is that it gets better the more you know. maybe this is true of all writing but i only know doctor who so we'll focus on that. but i think it gets better the more you know this is why my fic is not very good. i dont know many things. i think if you have a background in like, just any field you can use you can make your doctor who stories more interesting. like linguistics maths physics and music are things that come to mind for me that i would like to know to make my doctor who stories more interesting but i think it can work with, like, almost anything. biology stuff also works well adds a lot. sociology stuff history. if you know how to sew really well or youve worked in meat factories. just, if you have deep knowledge about something this will enrich your doctor who stories (again, might be true for literally every writing)
but also things you can know that are just lived and not books. like i said with that post about different countries' doctor whos, every country would bring its own history and values and perspective to the stories. but also like for example the class stuff or the queer stuff you see with rtds stories like anything a writer Knows will make their stories more interesting
and thats why doctor who could literally be so good If They Diversified Their Fucking Staff. in every sense of the word. you need disabled people, trans people, racialised people, people with different religions but you need people who know other things than writing too! which i get is difficult because theyre mostly working in their fields and not writing but like there are writers who are not or have not only ever just been writers. or just get writers with some weird fucking hobbies!
even in the most basic way even if you keep your entire show white christian able-bodied man, if you have more of those you will have better stories. it will still suck! but like, less than if you only have 1 guy writing right? thats not a novel concept artists know this writers know this thats why they work together. and i get that making tv is very complex and theres a lot of interests and a lot of choices being made that arent even to do with the stories but i find it so frustrating to think about how good doctor who could be if they let other people in to put their knowledge and their perspective in the stories
#and not just in the writing but in Every Department Obviously#i just dotn know how television is made so i dont know. like. what those are#the secret good disabled trans decolonialist doctor who that lives in my head man#like you know that feeling when an artist like...........Gets a certain theme or smth#like Knows what to do with it bc they have a certain own experience or knowledge#like when an artist truly fucking knows what theyre doing#you know that feeling? when youre like this SAYS something abt the theme/trope/idea/whatevs#you know?#doctor who is so full of unused potential#i feel like we're spinning our wheels a little bit#and maybe others feel that too bc showrunners keep being like WE NEED NEW SHOCK BIG NEW#but like. youre not gonna get that with the same old perspectives!#for truly new good refreshing you need some new good refreshing people on the mic#anyway. just. frustrates me#10 to the master but it's me to doctor who the show: you could be so much more!#like 13 and 15 are fun right? with the idk new outfit and the rwandan proverb on the sonic. fucks. but#to use rtds own words. ridiculous craven feeble gesture also a little bit. i want like. substantially good stories#i want to feel like the writer knows what theyre talking about you know?#you know that feeling#anyway#you get what im saying#the secret good doctor who that lives in my head man#except. it doesnt live in my head. bc it lives in many otherp eoples head. by definition#but sometimes i read like fic by friends who fucking Know things and im like damn#damn!!!!! doctor who could be so much better!!!!!!#i also think when youre a writer whos only a writer theres the risk of chasing your own tail a bit#in that th elonger youre a writer the more you only start writing about writing bc thats what you Know#i think thats a risk#also not a novel concept pretty sure professional writers are aware of that one gfhkjghgjg theyre not stupid
