The good law project has now started the legal case against the UK government's rapid and extreme implementation of their interpretation of the ruling.

Everyone saying "oh this doesn't technically mean that trans people ar banned from toilets" can now shut the fuck up and pay for their harmful 'well actually'-ing a trans woman.

Everyone else can also donate to the good law project to help resist the rise of facsism in the uk.

UK supreme court has ruled in law that trans women are not to be considered women

Trans women are no longer protected under sex based protections against discrimination

GRCs are now functionally harmful

A post op trans woman with a GRC is now banned from "women only spaces" like a women's toilet.

I do just want every trans person in the UK to know that there were protests all across the UK with an outpouring of love for us.

I gave tissues to some sobbing queer kids. Another helpful queer kid took my rubbish to the bin.

Speeches by trans people of all ages and cis people alike, of trans grief and fear and outrage and cis solidarity.

I listened to two hours of speeches. People came out as trans and introduced themselves for the first time on the mic.

On two days notice people came out and showed the fuck up. If you didn't make it out, you are loved and supported by a whole community. Check for more local action in the upcoming days and weeks. Get involved with your union, especially their LGBT+ group. We are fighting this together.

yeah fuck the Daily Mail. in general, UK media is very bad at being trans positive, or even just neutral and unbiased, but the Daily Shitrag is by far one of the worst offenders of biased reporting.

I feel I have lost the ability to hope.

I have not felt this way since I was pre-transition. Since I needed sertraline to stop the deepest of my pits.

My country is no longer safe for me. It may never be safe again in my lifetime.

The court decision this morning will be used to justify an ever increasing slate of legislation to make life harder for trans people. Legislation that will be wrapped in "civil rights" bills. Until it becomes impossible to overturn, and anybody campaigning for my rights is labelled as actively destroying the civil rights legislations.

I'm upset. I'm angry. I'm numb.

But above all, I just feel sick.

The UK supreme court has ruled the definition of a "woman" to mean "biological women". This means trans women WITH GENDER RECOGNITION CERTIFICATES ARE NO LONGER CONSIDERED WOMEN LEGALLY

This was funded by JK Rowling.

This sets a precedent for the entire trans community within the UK as well as other minorities.

We aren't going fucking anywhere. We survived section 28 and we'll survive this too. You can't get rid of us and you won't.

Fuck you UK supreme court and fuck you JKR.

If you are a British/UK citizen, there is currently a petition running (with only 125 signatures) that ends in June 2025. The petition calls for the government to make it so that you do not need a diagnosis of gender dysphoria to change your gender.
