looking into mad hatters comics what the fuck is going on in here. i’ve read his first appearance and then his reappearance and like damn what are they doing with this guy after that. he just has a monkey and a lot of hats and tech knowledge why is he obsessed with alice as a person

#as an alice in wonderland fan it doesn’t correlate. he cant be both the hatter and obsessed with alice #cause the hatter doesnt care about alice. in fact hes rude enough that she just leaves that tea party #he doesnt care he’s preoccupied with putting dormouse in the tea pot with his bestie #i just wonder where this came from cause its not there at least in those two appearances!#UGH! its just so weird. at least read these books! i mean im a stickler when it comes to them #cause alice in wonderland has a different image in pop culture than it really is and god it kinda bleeds into tetch #like hes always with the march hare! even as hatta and haigha! why not be obsessed with the march hare?#or an obsessive fear of the queen of hearts? given that shes ordered his execution #or maybe with time since thats why hes been having a tea party for two months straight!#if youre making a wonderland inspired character make your larger ties MAKE SENSE! it doesnt make sense #for him to be obsessed with alice! i have intense alice in wonderland opinions and they bleed into everything that takes inspiration #not gonna argue with him having a monkey despite there being no monkey in the books and plenty of other animals #i <3 monkey #i speak #dc #mad hatter
