The Fairly OddParents: Fairly Odder Trailer

Paramount Plus has dropped the first trailer for the live-action / animated sequel to Nickelodeon’s The Fairly OddParents.

The Fairly OddParents: Fairly Odder takes place years after the original series. The new series will follow Timmy Turner’s cousin Vivian “Viv” Turner and her new stepbrother Roy Ragland. Timmy entrusts his fairy godparents to Viv to help her adjust to life in Dimmsdale. Roy witnesses the fairy transfer, thus also inheriting Wanda and Cosmo.

The Fairly OddParents: Fairly Odder stars Susanne Blakeslee (Wanda), Daran Norris (Cosmo), Audrey Grace Marshall (Vivian “Viv” Turner), Tyler Wladis (Roy Raskin), Laura Bell Bundy (Rachel Raskin), Ryan-James Hatanaka (Ty Turner), and Imogen Cohen (Zina Zacarias). Christopher J, Nowak serves as showrunner on the series.

The Fairly OddParents: Fairly Odder hits Paramount+ on March 31, 2022.

The Fairly OddParents is based on the Emmy-winning animated series and will combine live-action and animation.

The 13-episode first season will pick up years after the original series ended and follow Timmy Turner’s cousin, Vivian “Viv” Turner (Audrey Grace Marshall, The Flight Attendant), and her new stepbrother, Roy Ragland (Tyler Wladis, Single Parents), as they navigate life in Dimmsdale with the help of their fairy godparents, Wanda and Cosmo. Susanne Blakeslee and Daran Norris return to the franchise to voice the iconic Wanda and Cosmo.

Laura Bell Bundy (Perfect Harmony) plays Roy’s mom, Rachel; Ryan-James Hatanaka (Nancy Drew) is Viv’s dad, Ty; and Imogen Cohen plays their friend, Zina Zacarias. Production on the series is under way in Los Angeles with a debut slated for later this year on Paramount+.

“The Fairly OddParents” Getting New Live-Action / Animated Series

Nickelodeon has announced production of a live-action / animation series based on The Fairly OddParents. Susanne Blakeslee and Daran Norris are reprising their roles as the voices of Wanda and Cosmo alongside the live-action cast. The series will appear on Paramount+.

The Fairly OddParents (working title) takes place years after the original series. The new series will follow Timmy Turner’s cousin Vivian “Viv” Turner and her new stepbrother Roy Ragland. The two siblings will “navigate life in Dimmsdale with the help of their fairy godparents, Wanda and Cosmo.” (Nickelodeon) How are Wanda and Cosmo Viv and Roy’s fairy godparents you may ask. Timmy entrusts his fairy godparents to Viv to help her adjust to life in Dimmsdale and Roy witnesses the fairy transfer, also inheriting Wanda and Cosmo.

In addition to Blakeslee and Norris, The Fairly OddParents also stars Audrey Grace Marshall as Vivian “Viv” Turner, Tyler Wladis as Roy Ragland, Laura Bell Bundy as mother Rachel Ragland, Ryan-James Hatanaka as father Ty Turner, and Imogen Cohen as their friend, Zina Zacarias.

ABC Gives a Full-Season Order to Hit New Comedy "Single Parents"

ABC GIVES A FULL-SEASON ORDER TO HIT NEW COMEDY 'SINGLE PARENTS'

Hit freshman comedy "Single Parents" has been given a full-season order, Channing Dungey, president, ABC Entertainment, announced today.

In the Live + 3 Day ratings, ABC's "Single Parents" is the No. 2 new comedy of the season in Adults 18-49, behind only ABC's "The Conners," and ranks No. 2 in its highly competitive Wednesday, 9:30 p.m. half-hour. On average through its first three episodes, the ABC freshman comedy is drawing an audience of 5.6 million viewers and is delivering a 1.6/7 in Adults 18-49.

The series is from 20th Century Fox Television and ABC Studios. JJ Philbin and Elizabeth Meriwether are creators and executive producers. Katherine Pope, Erin O'Malley and Jason Winer are also executive producers.

The series stars Taran Killam as Will Cooper, Leighton Meester as Angie D'Amato, Kimrie Lewis as Poppy Banks, Jake Choi as Miggy Park, Marlow Barkley as Sophie Cooper, Tyler Wladis as Graham D'Amato, Devin Trey Campbell as Rory Banks, Mia Allan as Emma Fogerty, Ella Allan as Amy Fogerty and Brad Garrett as Douglas Fogerty.

"Single Parents" airs Wednesdays at 9:30 p.m. ET on The ABC Television Network.
