The Hale pack lives, I think Talia was the alpha

Claudia Stilinski is also alive and like besties with Talia

Derek knows Stiles is his mate, if not when Claudia is still pregnant with Stiles the soon after she gives birth

There’s a seven year age gap

The title of the chapter are the years it encompasses/the ages of Stiles and Derek

Claudia dies in a car accident

Werewolves come forward and it’s a huge political thing

Peter and Sherriff Stilinski are a background thing after Claudia’s death

Stiles is an omega and Derek is an alpha

Since I'm back in my teen wolf obsession after the movie I'm just gonna say it. The vitriolic hatred for both Scott McCall and Tyler Posey was just fucking racism. There was literally no reason to hate them so much and every excuse I've seen people have for hating Scott is that he didn't center himself around Stiles (his white friend) more.

Scott McCall's only flaw was that he loved his friends too much and he was too trusting and forgiving of people.

I'm all for ship and let ship but Tyler is right about Sterek being weird. Stiles was a minor and Derek was at least 20-23 and as a former Sterek shipper who has seen the light. I don't blame Tyler. Y'all got hella annoying with that ship.

Sterek was never queerbait

Stiles and Derek did not like each other. They only tolerated each other because of Scott. Derek literally says he only came back to beacon hills for Scott. Y'all let Dylan and Tyler Hoechiln convince you otherwise.

Also people hating Scott is another case of white people having this weird issue with not being able to relate to a poc character because y'all literally take all of Scott's traits and give them to Stiles (because mostly I only see white people hating him and a few people of color)

The "iconic" baseball batt and red hoodie y'all love to give Stiles is literally what Scott was wearing in episode 1 of Season 1

EDIT: I'll also never forgive you FREAKS for bullying Tyler Posey after his mom died and said it was karma for saying sterek is weird. You people are fucking sick, disgusting pathetic excuses of a human being--no you're not human. You're literal scum for doing that.

Stiles and Dylan O'Brien were not the face of Teen Wolf. It is Tyler and Scott. Hell for example the sims 3 Supernatural. The werewolf on the cover looks like season 1 Scott.

I LOVE Stiles but those certain Stiles fans have put a sour taste in my mouth for the character.

Also the "Scott McCall is a bad friend" tag is so dumb cause Stiles and every other character on that show would laugh in your face if you tried to tell them that

"Don't tell me you're honestly surprised you're here." Nega-Derek sneered. "You always talk about how unfair it is to be dragged into all the shit that happens to you, about how you're always the first to be taken or hospitalized or the one to lose the most friends. Oh, boo-hoo. Always the victim, aren't you Stiles? Never stopping to wonder why so many things happen to you when you can never leave anything well enough alone. It's never your fault Scott follows all of your whims, right? That's on him for getting himself left out in the woods. You weren't the one who released the Nogitsune, so why would it be your fault poor Allison and all those people died? Letting the Nogitsune in had nothing to do with what happened, right?"

"Please…" The 'don't' died on his lips as the thing circled around Stiles, those colorless eyes piercing deeply into his own.

The spirit tutted in mock disappointment. "And what about me, Stiles? You've found a way to manipulate me into loving you just like you did Lydia. Now here I am, willing to die for you in your ridiculous ocean of lies and secrets. Are you going to get bored and leave me too? When is that trophy of catching the most sought-after specimen going to lose its charm and have you kicking me out on the street, broken and empty? Do I deserve it too, just like Lydia? She ignored you for years and used you to get at someone who hurt her. Apparently, that's all the reason in the world to get back at her, make her suffer for making you feel this way. She was your claim, your property, to treat however you wanted because her actions displeased you. It made you want to watch her cry. It made you want to insert yourself into her life and to make her yours even if you had to drag her in, kicking and screaming. Am I just another Lydia to you? Am I here because you like me or am I here for you to punish for bullying you? Is that what you want? To see me cry over you? Does it make you feel powerful having so much control over me? Does it flatter your ego to know that the big, bad, strong, former-Alpha Derek Hale, the Derek Hale, is so helpless to your charm that he can't even go a single day without thinking about you? Do you even know what I am to you?"

Stiles had nowhere else to back up. His feet were frozen. The words kept gnawing at his brain, twisting in his chest like a noose around his heart. Covering his ears hadn't helped. The sound of that too-familiar, but too-wrong voice was infesting his ears in a way that rang in his mind rather than his ears, starting inward and echoing out like the words were coming from his very soul. There was nothing he could say. He couldn't fight the words.

Especially since he knew they were all true.

"Ha! You don't even know!" Nega-Derek practically squealed delightedly. "Chatty Cathy Stiles suddenly with nothing to say. Well, isn't that just a rare sight! Finally ran out of bullshit to spew from that poisonous little goblin mouth, I see. That's fine. I have enough to talk about for the both of us," the thing chirped happily.

Kinda confused at Sterek hate. Like, I’ve just been sitting happily in my little corner that I’ve curated for myself with lovely people that love all the ways they can fall in love. But a lot people really think we’re gross?

I thought Hoechlin said the age gap between them was originally supposed to be three years so that he would have been a senior when they were freshmen and that’s how they would’ve known him, but then JD decided to have Kate rape him so he had to age him up?

A lot of the haters try to pretend that Sterek shippers weren’t purposefully queerbaited, like that “we’re on a ship” moment didn’t happen. Also, they don’t seem to understand time progressing? In ALL of the Sterek fic I read their relationship is consensual and Stiles is above the legal age of consent. Stiles is in college, or back from college, or they’re just grown adults living their lives. I love a good slow burn, like years in the making: from enemies to begrudging allies to begrudging respect to friends to lovers. My favorites are Derek gets therapy. I would say the driving force behind me even getting into teen wolf fic was Derek Hale Deserves Nice Things, because holy shit JD hates him (which can be further proven by the recent movie, not that we were ever in any doubt).

Let’s also not forget that canon doesn’t have to matter in fic. We can pick and choose. You can age them up, down, make them the same age, there can be time travel, time skips, au’s where you can change literally anything.

Shipping them for me boils down to the chemistry between the actors playing them. The ship wouldn’t exist without it. If Hoechlin had been cast as Scott for some reason, I’m quite sure we would have been Sciles shippers. And the fact of the matter is the actors playing them were 19 and 23. Their chemistry on and off screen is what fueled their ship despite the fact that that may not have been the intention of the show, the writers, or even the actors themselves. I started watching Teen Wolf thinking Sterek would eventually be canon just from gifs of them together because that’s how strong their chemistry was.

I have read so much great Sterek fic, some of it was better written than books I’ve read, and it was given for FREE. I think that’s amazing and I just don’t get the hate lol.

Tyler Hoechlin is in Castle, and all I’m saying is that the timelines actually work NEAR PERFECTLY for Castle and Teen Wolf to be set in the same universe.

Castle S2 (where we meet Dylan) is set in 2010, ONE YEAR before the first season of Teen Wolf aired. If “Dylan” is an alias that Derek used while he was in New York with Laura, then…

"Come on." You whined, folding your arms across your chest as you attempted to plead your case. "It's not like I'm asking for much."

Derek was glaring at you like you'd just asked him to commit murder for you, although he would probably be more agreeable to that apparently. "I already told you, no. I don't do Christmas."

"Only because you've never had anyone to spend it with."

"I have people."

"Alright, who?" You challenged, cocking your head at him.

"Cora." He answered, a proud smile on his face as he looked at you now.

"Yeah, but it's not like she's here much. What about Scott? Has he ever asked?"

"No."

"Stiles?"

He released a deep sigh then at the mention of that name, indicating that clearly Stiles had proposed the idea multiple times. "He asked once if he could...bring Christmas to me...and then he kept asking."

"And you never said yes?"

"Have you met Stiles?"

"Oh come on, he's not that bad." You countered, your lips twitching into a smile as you uttered your next words. "And besides, he is your cousin."

His face paled then, his eyes widening as he stared at you. "How do you know about that? Did he tell you that?"

"Okay, okay, just...calm down. If you won't spend Christmas with them, will you at least just spend it with me? I promise it'll be fun."

"Fun."

"I'll make it worth your while." You offered, stepping closer to him with a small smile on your face.

"You're lucky I like you." He finally sighed, giving in.

"Then I guess I'll see you Christmas Day." You grinned, before planting a light kiss on his lips. "And don't be such a sour wolf."

And Derek was hot. So hot that Stiles couldn't help ogling him every time they spent any amount of time around each other, including play dates and lunch in the school cafeteria with their kids. So Derek asking him out for Valentine's Day? That was just icing on the cake. Plus, Stiles was already head over heels for him.

Excerpt: Stiles stood and smiled at Derek. “Hey.”

“Hey,” Derek said softly, his smile reaching his eyes. And Stiles loved Derek’s eyes. They were green with bursts of gold and flecks of amber. Stiles wanted to stare into them for hours, but all they had were stolen moments like these.

“So, I’ll be back later with Hailey’s cupcakes. I need to go pick them up from the bakery.” Stiles pushed his hands into his pockets. “Did she get the Elsa cupcakes that she’s been talking about for weeks now?” Derek asked with a gentle laugh, crossing his arms over his chest.

Stiles smiles right back at him. It’s impossible not to. “C’mere, you.” He raises his arms and makes grabby hands and a heartbeat later he gets wrapped into his alpha’s arms. “We should test the soundproofidity of the room…” he suggests, half mumbling because his face is squished against Derek’s pecs.

“That’s not a real word,” Derek corrects him and then pauses. “Or is it?”

“Do you wanna discuss semantics?” Stiles twists his head and peaks up at his boyfriend, not without pressing a sweet kiss on his neck in the process. Derek’s beard tickles his lips in the best way. “Because I’d be totally up for it if you-”
