top 5 jason comics

The Batman: Second Chances arc (aka Batman #408-411). What a good origin story. What a great use of antagonists to enhance Jason's character and his relationship with Bruce. What a great first meeting/Meet Ugly between two people who'll never become untangled from each other, no matter what comes.

Batman: Under the Hood (aka Batman #635-641, #645-650, Annual #25). THEE Batman comic, to me, as well. It changed the game in ways DC itself will never accept. And Jason himself? Superb. The antagonist I've wanted my whole life.

Red Hood: Lost Days #1-6. A great Jason comic all-around, amazing at filling in the blanks, really good at showcasing his character. And look! A female character and a complex dynamic with her right at the center of it!

Batman: The Diplomat's Son (aka Batman #424). Good Jason comic that doesn't quite know it's a good Jason comic because Starlin has a perspective on misogyny and sexual abuse that should be incomprehensible to sensible brains but alas xD. I'd include the following issue, although that's more of a "Bruce you goddamn hypocrite" comic than a Jason comic añsldkfja.

I'm between Green Arrow: Seeing Red (Green Arrow volume 3 #69-72), or Outsiders: Pay As You Go (Outsiders volume 3 #44-46, Annual #1), but although they are 1) good comics that 2) feature a great Jason, I wouldn't call them jason comics... OTOH you have Batman: A Death in the Family (Batman #426-429), which is a bad comic that manages to be a good Jason comic lol (yes, he dies. Yes, it's the true beginning of the victim blaming narrative. But at this point it could still believably be about Bruce's godawful coping methods and my god, I love Jason in it). You know what? I'm going to take a turn and say Superman: For the Man Who Has Everything (Superman Annual #11). Because "Jason saved the fucking Trinity from fucking Mogul" should be brought up as often as possible, if you ask me.

Honorable mentions go to "More Time" (Robin 80th Anniversary 100-Page Spectacular #1/5) or "The Delusions of Alfred Pennyworth" (Gotham Knights #34/2) or Supergirl volume 6 #35, I just like seeing him in those lol. Batman: The Cult #1-4 as well, honestly.

At the beginning of the demo, the devs mentioned that they thought about the way different lighting affects your character. " The animations associated with combat are complex for one reason: responsive character features." CC has "inclusion of thick curly hair and capturing the tightly curled texture of Black hairstyles and natural hair", customizable shoulder-width and "a much-welcomed broad spectrum of skin tones—capturing both cool and warm undertones of both white and brown skin". The article highlighted the fluid movement of cloth. The writer also said, "I’m sure other Summer Game Fest previews will have a lot to say on the evolving relationship between Varric and Solas". Okay, but like, thinking about the ask regarding DE gave me the idea of WL needing some quick money for whatever reason... So she proceeds to host the world's most unannounced stream as DE. Literally, no sort of announcement beyond her followers getting a small notification that her stream is live. What does DE do? Starts playing some random shooting games to "see if I still have it" and she is absolutely obliterating people without even blinking. Naturally it's entertaining and the donations just start pouring in, so yippee, fast money. I like to think she barely even answers any questions her chat has about her absence, she's just like "for every dollar I receive is another headshot I make" and she starts sniping other players. In other words, it's a very chaotic day for the streaming community as a ghost from the past shows up to channel her inner murder hobo.

i like this idea alot!! i think she would do it like only Once since she abandoned DE persona and would wake everyone tf up and get people talking. but she doesn't give any kind of attention to it and after returns to her normal life like it didn't happen. thank u for ur thoughts!

you know how “partner” was implemented to create a gender neutral term used by both straight and queer people to provide privacy and not out queer people who talk about their significant other?

ally, is often like that. In the early days of gay straight alliances, and other lgbtqia+ spaces, ally was a way of allowing people into queer spaces without outing them, and providing room for exploration and questioning. it has a meaningful history outside of its explicit definition as an ally to queer people. the “a” absolutely stands for aro, ace, etc. don’t get me wrong.

Alfred had stared at the toasts -goat cheese, honey, walnuts- with barely restrained despair, before containing his expression, and walking out of the kitchen with a half-hearted excuse. Leslie hated that. The stiff upper lip, Englishman routine always made her want to shake the man, just to get any emotion, any prove that he was as red blooded as the rest of them, out of him. She looked at Bruce for an explanation, and was surprised when she received one. "That was... Jason's special days breakfast. They usually made it together." Leslie grimaced. Time-shifting was a relatively recent development; so far, the few times they'd observed it, it always centered a young Jason, and at the beginning, any distress was easily curved by saying the boy was at school. Once, Leslie asked him -through quite a few intermediaries-, to come for a visit, see if that helped. Jason had begrudgingly accepted, under the condition that he'd only see Alfred, and Leslie herself when he was there. He'd walked into the house with the curiosity of a newcomer, looking at it for all the world as if he'd never stepped a foot in. It only hit Leslie that technically, he hadn't: the manor had been rebuilt after the earthquake, and she had simply gotten used to all the changes, year after year. Jason hadn't. On his way to Alfred's bedroom, he'd stopped in the middle of the hallway, and a chuckle escaped his lips as he stared at an empty piece of wall. He had spent a few hours with Alfred. Despite the patience he displayed, Leslie found herself disturbed at the sight of a man with a size that could engulf Alfred, with muscles that could lift him and carry him far, far away, calmly speak to him about homework and extracurricular school activities, and left them alone after the first thirty minutes. When she walked a pensive Jason out, she told him "I think... his brain wants to return to that time. Those memories, when you were still living here, before..." The words floated around them, a heavy presence whenever Jason was near. But like the rest of them, she couldn't quite bring herself to speak them. Jason hummed. "I have a different theory." "Oh?" "It's not about me, not really. It's never about me. He misses who Bruce was before my murder." He smiled, acerbic. "But unlike me, that man is never, ever coming back."
