the way i squeeled when i saw your sky x twst au....for no reason at all i think the sky kids would be jumpscared by malleus during nightime because he kinda looks like a krill- gah sky kids my beloved <3

And I feel like you're right - Malleus's silhouette would likely lead to him startling some sky kids if he shows up unexpectedly - especially any particularly skittish ones! Of course, I also feel like, once they're used to him, the sky kids could have some adorable shenanigans with him!

Like, just imagine Sebek losing his mind because these little honking menaces keep on cLIMBING WAKASAMA LIKE HE'S PLAYGROUND EQUIPMENT!??!?!?!?! STOP AND GET DOWN YOU DISRESPECTFUL LITTLE GLOWY CHILDREN1!!1!1!!!11!

Or maybe some of the more mellow sky kids end up making flower crowns for him to wear on his head and horns - but with flowers made with their own sort of 'light magic' (like the confetti emote!) so they glow too, and Lilia can't recognize the flowers from any of his travels. how intriguing!

Perhaps a particularly friendly one can sit on his shoulders - they like to feel tall! And being with their big friend makes them feel safe. and kinda drowsy... and a little bit later, they may wake up to discover that they've been gently placed into a cuddle pile with a bunch of not-light animals and a pretty man with silver hair.

Oh! Or some particularly boisterous sky kids - particularly those who enjoy krill dodging - could convince Malleus to play flight-tag with them in his dragon form. They do not inform the others that a dragon will be joining the game. They will be yelled at by the others for not informing them that a dragon will be joining the game. (The brief terror would be kinda funny in hindsight though lol)

That kinda got away from me fora second lol - I just cant stop thinking about the cute stuff that these little rascals could get up to haha. I hope you have a wonderful day!

AAAAAAAA YES!

Skykids are so adorable all they know is make friends, light candles, and throw crabs in fire

But the honking! Yes! I adore language barriers - perhaps they can befriend someone and unlock chat with them using candles (and the student in question gets really confused when they start hearing words instead of honking haha) they'd probably try to use emotes and charades to communicate first though (with little success probably)

They'd adore all of the dorms and places to explore! Especially brighter places like Pomefiore and Heartslabyul - any sky kids who remember the season of the little prince may try talking to the rose bushes haha! And perhaps some would get a makeover in Pomefiore - new cosmetics lol. Imagine a really pretty Pomefiore style cape with multiple layers and all the colours and everything abdhsbshjfn

Hahaha I can imagine the sky kids perking up at the sight of a familiar gesture and causing the instigator to let their guard down because - ”wait I was about to fight these kids and now they're giving me candles??? Now they can speak !?!?? They're calling me their friend!?!???!?!!” just a healthy dose of confusion via adorable honking children haha

All the Non-Fae students thinking they're Fae. All the Fae students (+ Silver)(+ Rook, probably) knowing they're not Fae and assuming everyone else knows. Miscommunication, the stable if NRC 👍

AAAAAAAA Cater befriending the sky kids and teaching them different poses - like emotes or something! Imagine the sky kids mimicking the behaviours of some students! Like their poses or actions - perhaps a student gets surprised and a sky kid standing next to them reacts similarly but with a long enough delay to know that they're not actually reacting to what happened they're just copying their friend haha

Ooh and blot! I figured it might react similarly to the dark water in the golden wasteland - where it saps light from their capes. The skykids might be able to use their candles on the overblotted student similarly to how the hold their candles up to relive spirit memories though! And that's how they end up seeing their backstories!

These lil guys are so cute I love putting them in situations!

Oh! Idia bonds with some over the light thing they can do with their hands (the emote from season of Aurora) because of Jamil's fairy gala vignette where he shows Jamil the different sorta... 'moves'? (Idk the terms he used haha) he knows.

Hehehe Epel or Deuce taking some skykids on a magical wheel for a ride. Perhaps the first year squad and a band of moths could get up to shenanigans while some veterans befriend the older students

(cue Riddle having a nice conversation with one of the older skykids only for a loud crash to sound out behind him where the first year squad and 6-12 moths in a cauldron landed. How did they manage that? That's anyone's guess haha)

Yo I saw a post of yours about a sky cotl and twisted Wonderland crossover and I've been writing a fic where I yote some sky kids into NRC and I was wondering if you'd like to chat about stuff like how they'd interact with the world or how people would react to them lol

I figured that everyone would initially assume that they're light Fae until the mirror calls them fallen stars or children if light or something haha

plus them jumping from high up and scaring anyone who might not know about their ability to fly yet (a video of one jumping in front of cameras at the spelldrive tournament and proceeding to glide around while everyone besides the NRC students lose their collective minds becomes a meme or something idk)

Perhaps the rain has some sort of magic properties that makes it interact with the sky kids similarly to how the forest rain works - meaning that the sky kids freak out and try to pull their friends out of the rain because 'GDI BIG MOTH YOU WILL LOSE YOUR LIGHT'

Sorry this got long lmao - I just like Sky and TWST and I like seeking out others who may also enjoy the idea of a crossover haha

Though I wonder if Lillia and/or malleus would know that the sky kids aren’t light fae and would just go “..well you didn’t ask-“ when the others find out

Another thing though- so because sky kids can burn darkness could they burn others blot? (Realistically probably not but it’s so much fun to think abt)

Thinking about Sky:COTL and twst crossover (feel free to RB with your thoughts/send in an ask with your thoughts)

A small child wearing a curious mask shows up at the entrance ceremony and is super chill about the fire everywhere.

Crowley finds them by following a trail of lit candles.

They honk when the mirror asks what their name is and the mirror somehow understands what their name is.

They imitate some gestures of certain characters and work those gestures into their general behaviour (e.g. Malleus's thinking pose).

They offer someone a candle as a show of friendship and immediately grab their hand and start pulling them around.

The first time they flew while holding Adeuce's hand made them freak tf out

They get different capes as they make new friends/go through events

They play music sometimes and learn meme songs from cater and Adeuce

I can picture them getting a mask similar to Crowley's and following him like a lil duckling lmao

Hey fluffle, I'm a BIG fan of your Twisted Wonderland x Sky: Cotl! (Sorry if my english isn't good), and I have multiple questions. You don't have to answer all of them.

I have seen your post about nrc boy seeing the Aurora concert and I wonder if they also turned into light creatures since you know some of the song like "All is soft inside". The sky kid's turns into different creatures.

Also imagine the sky kid's playing in the Spelldrive tournament (⁠≧⁠▽⁠≦⁠)!! Those little kiddos are going to be like

"It's our time to shine people!"

OMG!! Can't forgot how they can just grab the disk and fly towards the goal while dodging most attacks.

OH!! Imagine that one of the sky kids is really tall but wearing a chibi mask and when they take off the mask people are like "Wait! Your THAT Tall!!!"

I have a headcancon that the cape can be made by sky children only l, where they just like gathering wax and lights making it into threads then using something like loom to create a cape

Now! Imagine that the sky kids made capes for the Octavinelle trio since we all know what they are bad at flying

I feel like, in an Aurora concert, the TWST boys wouldn't be experiencing it physically, but their soul or mind would be experiencing it if that makes sense? Like an out-of-body experience where they're all pulled in to experience a shared dream or memory.

So, they'd experience being in the different forms alongside the sky kids, and their bodies would physically remain in the stadium during each song - until the ending in the stadium!

Ahh the spelldrive tournament would be so fun! I feel like they'd be a force to reckon with after enough practice. Especially if one of them is practiced in krill dodging! The speed and finesse they have over their movements through the air would probably impress some of the sportier guys!

Ooh, the chibi mask surprise is fun to imagine! Like, imagine if a veteran with a chibi mask and a moth on the taller side ended up at NRC. The utter confusion when they explain that the taller of the two was, essentially, brand new to the concept of existence would be fun. (Haha Lilia and Malleus parallels)

And I love your headcanon for capes! That's a great take on how they'd work - the image of the magic of the candles transforming into something like threads and being interwoven is beautiful to picture! I can imagine that the capes could take a form based on the soul or magic of the wearer, and it 'locks' onto the first person it matches the energy of.

(E.g. Vil receives a cape made by a sky kid, and when he wears it, it connects to his magic and transforms to look as if it was a peacock train. It would also mean his flight stamina/number of wings is dependent on their magic level)

As for the octo trio - I feel like they wouldn't be too fond of the idea of flying with the capes lol. It'd probably feel less secure than having a solid broom to hold onto lmao. If the sky kids ever want revenge for their schemes in chapter 2, I can imagine them surprise kidnapping one of them by grabbing their hand and flying up into the air to float around with them because of the acrophobia lol.

Anyway yes! Haha, both the Sky kid and grim would be like little lantern buddies whenever it's dark - like in the mines in the prologue! They'd probably have people trying to stop them from climbing into lit fireplaces and touching the flames of candles, so Grim is the easiest flame source to recharge from. Like a little moth!

He'd most definitely be averse to the idea of flying though, haha! Some random students hear him yowling above them, only to look up and see the sky kid flying around with him in their arms lol. He eventually gets used to it, and then it's time for some of the other guys to experience flight via Uber hahaha!

Ooh, they'd probably participate in flight class! Flying between the brooms, scaring everyone when they nosedive on purpose, only to forget to pull up as they end up nosediving... Only to hop right back to their feet! They can crash into pretty much anything and they're still good! (Attacks from overblots being like krill attacks tho,,, and Grim reviving them with cuddles!)

Heheheh the confusion and miscommunication of charades! Consider: the sky kids don't understand the characters either so when one of the guys (perhaps Deuce or Kalim) think that they understand what the sky kid is saying, the sky kid sees them nod and thinks they were able to tell them what they wanted to say! Cut to shenanigans (like Deuce freaking out while holding the hand of a flying Sky Kid)

They're such fun lil guys to think about, I love sky kids so much lol

ABSGSVEJEHE hehehe I'm glad you like my thoughts - I've been hooked on sky:cotl since I got it on my switch (I barely managed to get the days of colour cape haha)

The friendship trees being implemented with only some people being able to understand the kids avdusvja lol - I've imagined that some of the kids might think that Crowley is a seasonal guide because of his mask and coat!

I can picture an event with sky kids popping up around NRC now too, haha! Kalim would definitely end up befriending his sky kid - maxing out the friend tree even! Jamil's sky kid would end up mimicking his mannerisms maybe, visibly rolling their eyes or facepalming at some point hahaha. And imagine Cater having to babysit a camera shy lil guy - attempting to take a pic of their shenanigans only to cut to an hour later where he's trying to find them because he scared them off with the camera.

People being super confused when their lil buddies start to talk is amazing too - of course NRC students don't know about it haha. I'm just picturing the RSA students on the other side of the island also having the event, but because it's RSA and they're all about the power of friendship or some other super sappy thing, they all know about it lol.

Like, sky kids not being able to go out in rain and assuming the others are just really big moths who are gonna lose their light, or offering candles to make friends, or recharging with the fire from Grim's ears,,, I just love putting lil guys in situations haha

Oh shit omg alternate idea: The skykids appearing at NRC is normal!! They appear like maybe a certain time every year and making friends with them and taking care of them is turned into an assignment that the students are graded for!! Still though I like to think that it's not general knowledge that the skids can talk after reaching a certain friendship level (because a lot of students don't manage to get that far before the skids vanish) PURELY because I love the idea of some students thinking they've gone crazy because they can hear their skids talking.

Maybe a skykid tries to use a hair accessory spell that adds flowers to his hair or they try to pull him over to a sorta braid train. Maybe they try to figure out if they can change their own hair colour (I HC that their hair is almost like semi-solid light and can't be dyed)

Idk I just think it'd be cute if they reacted to the change with a kinda "YO WE MATCH!!!" Attitude lol

Obsessed with the aurora concert in sky cotl and how much the twst students would freak out if it happened on twisted Wonderland - like in the Magical Shift stadium or something

I may write a separate mini story about that (not canon to my fic but just to explore how they'd interact with the setting/everything that's set up prior to the event (stage for trying out the aurora's voice instrument, the stands selling capes/cosmetics, the seesaws, etc.)

As well as how some of them would feel during the concert - because if I felt all excited when playing on my switch I can only imagine the elation some of them would feel at being there. Idk how to explain it haha I'm probably missing a ton of clarity here.

Some of the songs would likely resonate more with certain people - I think the first years would really enjoy 'Warrior of Love' because of the energy and freedom they might feel during it! Lilia would probably be moved most by the performance of 'The Seed' given his past and the focus of the song in the concert.

And Rook would be gushing about how gorgeous aurora looks throughout - especially when she turns big!

ALSO YOU GET A GLIMPSE OF REBIRTH NEAR THE END! Imagine the awe that the cast would feel seeing as they would have never experienced such an astounding sight before then. Some groups may even link together like you can while going through there

Heyyo saw your au on twst and sky cotl. Regarding skyYuu being hurt by rain, if your talking about the rain in Hidden Forest? Cuz the rain in the forest was cuz it was toxic.

Also, you can swim and dive in sky. Your sky Kid is going to dependent on air bubbles, plus swimming much faster will drain some light. Opening, clams big or small can regain light, also some plants and fish can help sky Kid regain light. This is in an area on the west side of the lobby area of the Golden Wasteland (b4 going schwoop by the wind/tornado). There's a boat there, and you'll be able to visit the area. There are some Krill in the area, and

There is a big ass Krill thingy and it almost ate the sky Kid.

Fair point, I suppose I just really like the idea of the sky kids having a vulnerability that twst characters may see as odd/be unable to predict until they see it pan out.

And besides! There are little answers to these plot holes - perhaps the rain in TWST has magical properties of some sort where it acts like the forest rain does in Sky - only affecting the sky kids. It'd also add a nifty little thing where Kalim's UM is very very scary for the lil guys!

Or! Perhaps pollution in rainwater could be an issue - although such a thing works better in urban environments, I suppose. Sage Island doesn't seem as polluted as the modern world, after all...

(Besides, I can fudge the details a little bit for the sake of having fun with an AU/Fic (⁠ ⁠ꈍ⁠ᴗ⁠ꈍ⁠))

And yes, I'm well aware of the treasure reef! It'll be mentioned when I get to chapter three lol - the gang is gonna have to stop these kids from trying to crack open live clams (Floyd just accepts the free snacks tho haha)

The giant krills (I've seen them be called leviathans but don't take my word for it lol) scared me senseless the first time I went through that quest - it looked very beautiful in the PlayStation trailer though!

This is a small twst:COTL thought but I'll be putting it under a readmore because it has chapter 7 spoilers.

Silver using his UM and learning about orbit/rebirth from visiting the dreams of a skykid and joining them in their dream. OR him getting a closer look at the world and culture of the skykids than anyone else because he's able to follow them into their dreams!

I feel like (once I'm back into the swing of updating small stars and unfamiliar skies) maybe I should try adding a second fic to the series for small vingettes/excerpts to show interactions that may not be seen whilst following the story. Idk though I'll have to get back to updating more frequently and getting past the prologue before I do that lol

Krill are always scary 😭 tbh you just learn to avoid them. For the most part for Eden the last part of the travel is the hardest imo (ngl I just learned glitches, but I can do it normally!)

I'm imagining for that one chapter where MC and Grimm aren't letting Leona sleep so that he'd help with Azul it's just sky!MC repeatedly honking I'm his face

I can't help but giggle at the thought of them honking rapidly at the blot monster in the prologue. Or anyone they feel like annoying (chap.1 Riddle, any bullies, Crowley, etc.)

They'd be like a little goose but less violent

Additionally, I can imagine them not being able to talk to people unless they set up a candle on a bench (one of the special ones they make when they gather wax around the school)
