i just binged all the available episodes and the amount of times he gets blamed for literally defending himself is insane. not even mentioning all the times he gets groped on AND THEN BLAMED FOR IT

he definitely deserves some of what he gets, but a lot [if not most] of his heckling and retorts and physical lash out are reactionary. Ranma was perfectly well behaved and nice and pretty sweet before Akane walked in on HIM ↑ and i get Akane's reaction to finding a man in her bathroom, i definitely get it, but even after everything was explained and even after they became ~tentative~ friends Akane still treats him like some grandiose pervert

he tried to make Ryouga feel better about their duel by buying him all the snacks he 'stole' AND protected his secret from Akane without asking for anything in return. they're rivals, but at least they have mutual respect for each other ↑ i really like their relationship actually, because it feels real compared to Ranma's relationship with the other characters. neither of them have to really pretend with the other

now to the part that REALLY icks me out. people blaming Ranma when HE gets groped or attacked -> Ryouga's bandana cut Akane's hair but Ranma got blamed for it bc he snapped at her [for putting herself in danger] -> Kodachi paralyzed him and kissed him and he got snapped at -> Mikado took advantage of the fact that Ranma couldn't skate to kiss her, which she ran away crying from, and no one asked if she was okay -> Shampoo attacked him, he defended himself, got kissed without permission again, gets his disinterest brushed to the side, and then blamed when she keeps coming onto him and this isn't even all of it!

it feels like every time someone comes on to Ranma, he gets blamed for it instead of them getting told to back off. like- it's so obvious he's very shy with his affection, and he does not like people taking that choice from him [which he voices, very vocally, when Mikado is trying to kiss Akane for the firs time]

like... what? is it because he's a guy sometimes? it pisses me off

the new rider for ride kamens is agata, and he's based on hibiki, which, while makes sense 'cuz araki is based on momotaros and therefore oni, is kinda boring after the reveal of our lord and savior dan kuroto
