Malleus fear and hunger concept designs

for the human/ funger design i had a lot of characters in the same type of outfit so for malleus i wanted to give him a long skirt to break up the designs. bringing the skirt into the design balanced not only the cast but the design as a whole.

on the belt a few sprigs of herbs are tied for easy access.

i wanted malleus to be still recognisable as himself without his horns through his hair and i believe achieved that

Moonscorched malleus

the Lonesome

Born from Malleues’s fear of being alone forever and losing those around him the lonesome is born. Being a dragon his horde of humans will keep him company for eternity absorbing whatever unlucky soul that dares to cross its path. the lonesome lashes out and perceives whoever approaches as a threat. If left alone the lonesome will seek more people to add to its never-ending horde. The lonesome seeks companionship but its very nature repels 

Malleus will become moonscorched on the afternoon of day 2 if you fail to stop an interaction with a non-playable contestant (character not decided at this time). Failing to intervene will result in malleus moonscorching in the orphanage. There the lonesome will lurk the abandoned hallways searching for its next companion. 

The draconic nature of his moonscorched form correlates with his draconic fae heritage in twst. His moonscorched form stands upon a horde of bodies like a pile of gold. The faces of those he's obsorbed are displayed on his body. For this design, i wanted to invoke a sense of an almost eldritch horror. Trying to capture the feeling and style of fear and hunger while also making the design my own and incorporating elements of twst is the challenge of these concept sketches

His moonscorched form would be one that most would avoid occurring because of how powerful and difficult it is. he isn't one to underestimate and neither should his moonscorched form. His fight however wouldnt be impossible to beat just really difficult.

my contribution to the twisted fungerland au

I discovered @catacropolis’ twst fear and hunger au and went slight mad over it so I decided to make my interpretation of what Cater would look like in this au.

I figured he’d dress relatively casually so I took inspiration from his band card and have gave him a denim jacket.

Moonscorched

The Masked

I really haven’t figured out much of a story for him but the main inspirations here were the whole theme of him hiding his true self behind flashy personalities that vary depending on the setting, so I thought it would be fun to mix that idea with having a couple of his clones be mushed onto him for the bigger body horror aspect. The ‘real’ Cater’s face is torn off, held in front of the gaping hole in his chest by the arms of the clones a la skin granny (the fight would also have some kind of mechanic similar to the skin granny coin toss) whereas the other faces are completely featureless.

I’m not sure how well I managed to capture the general moonscorch vibe as I don’t play funger nor am I really in the fandom, but I’m really interested in the lore so this happened

Jamil Moonschorching

The Deceiver

Growing up as a servant for the Asim family meant that every day was filled with strict responsibilities and menial tasks. His main duty as a servant of the Asims was to tend to the every whim of the heir of the Asim silk industry, Kalim. He hated him. The Asim silk industry was a thriving and highly successful conglomerate of fine and expensive fabrics. And their heir Kalim was probably the least fit person to run the company. As pampered as a pet , Kalim was a naive fool and Jamil despised him for it. He had spent years of his youth trying his hardest to teach the young heir about the responsibilities of his position and prepare him for his life ahead of him and yet he couldn't understand how the young man couldn't grasp such simple concepts. 

He would find himself spending his off time dreaming of what life could be like if he were Kalim. To him it was clear as day that the heir was incompetent and Jamil himself showed such promise. Above all he wished for a better life for him and his family. They were all talented and strong willed individuals. It seemed frankly ridiculous why they were not in power as he grew older. 

When Jamil reached the age of 13 his family began training him in studies of Gro-goroth The god of human sacrifices. Utilising his teachings he became skilled in magic associated with Gro-goroth.  When getting involved with the old gods he has been warned about the corruptive side of Gro-groth’s power. Learning to balance his power to the best of his abilities the underbelly of the Asim house assisted in Jamil's training believing that he would become the ultimate bodyguard for the heir. 

Unbeknownst to them, Jamil's hatred towards Kalim grew day by day. His patience wearing thinner before after years of his loyalty to the house he snapped. He had hurt Kalim . the person he had dedicated his entire livelihood to protecting. A part of him reveled in the power that his actions gave him but the realisation of the consequences dawned on him like an angry cloud. 

If the head of the house found out about his actions he and his family would truly meet a fate worse than death. 

With what little resolve he had left he fled the house and swore vengeance upon Kalim if his family was endangered . wandering the endless deserts of his homecountry he found himself on a train headed to Prehivil. 

Jaim and kalim both embody multiple roles in twst alone one that stuck out to me recently was chapter 7s connection to jamil being the genie 

And in a way it makes a lot of sense so the design is also somewhat reflective of that 

He's still trapped in this life that he desperately wants to escape from but he's lived this life for as long as he can remember so he doesn't even know how to live outside of that responsibility but he also so desperately wants to escape from that life 

Twst Jamil has expressed his interest in leaving. leaving the scalding sands and his old life behind and exploring the world and going somewhere that he has never been, that's nothing like the life he's had to live till now. 

Unlike the genie his master can't just wish for his freedom and it will be granted . kalim doest have that power his father does . 

 (I have a lot of thoughts about the complexities of Jamil and Kalim as people their dynamic is so convoluted and morally gray on both ends that neither is completely innocent or guilty and it's so fascinating) 

( could you tell that Jamil is one of my fav characters to think about ) 

 The multiple heads of the snakes is a combination of a few different design ideas 

First, its a reference to the snake hair Jamil gets in his ob design.

Second, i wanted to feel a lot like a gorgon head of snakes.

Third, the multiple heads represent Jamil's inner conflict of wanting to escape from his old life but not knowing how to since it's all he's ever known ( ex . Levi after the war returning to Prehevil despite all the pain it caused him because other than war Prehivil is all he knows and despite not liking the town doesn't know where else he could go )

The deceiver is a being of self-interest trapped by outside forces and despite its monstrous power, it can't break away from its own chains. In losing himself he loses any chance to find the life he wanted for himself. trapped in a fate controlled by higher powers once again.  His legs twist together into a solid pillar forming like an incomplete snake's tail. His appearance shifts into one resembling a naga . his legs becoming one restrict his movement only further imprisoning him into the reality he finds himself to be in. 

He is the deceiver yet he hides no part of himself. An example I could correlate this to would be Samaries moonscorching. dysmorphia is the embodiment of Samries view of herself and her deteriorating body and yet when she becomes dysmorphia she is happy in a way  and calls herself radiant 

Similarly, the deceiver shows the hidden truth and most vulnerable aspects of jamil that he keeps hidden from the world 

Samarie was one of the inspirations for his moonscorched form 

One of the abilities the deceiver would have is mind control ( ex the father snail enemies)

A lot of his attacks would probably be less physical and more mental/ psychological attacks that drain mind 

 Jamil would become the deceiver Day 2 morning  if the player during day 2 morning fails to encounter jamil and doppleganger kalim 

In the interaction, Jamil is within the city of Prehevil when he comes across a doppelganger Kalim if the player does not expose the doppelganger to Jamil his encounter with Kalim will escalate  causing him to Moonscorch ( ex Samarie and Marina)

For Riddles design he is wearing a simple ruffled shirt with a pocketwatch for some Heartsabul flair.

Moonscorched Riddle

The Decapitated

Riddle, The Decapitated, has anger issues and when he loses his head his anger blinds him to the violence that he is capable of. Taking a form resembling his mother he fears that his anger will transform him into her and his desire for control is nothing but a puppeteering of his mother's wishes.

His mother was his abuser and controlled his every movement now he fears losing control and straying from the rules given to him. His moonscorched form reflects a twisted version of his body transformed into that of his mothers, swinging his weaponized anger at those who defy the rules, his spine and head become a ball and chain-like weapon with axe heads on either side of the face. 

Growing up Riddle's mother had a life plan set up for Riddle to follow. She would do Anything to ensure that her son followed her perfect life plan. He would follow in her footsteps and become a successful doctor. Every action he took was strictly monitored.

She ensured her son got into the best available medical school and when he graduated he was enlisted to be a war doctor. He hadn't fought on the frontlines but the horrors of war permeated his experiences. 

The devastation and death followed him and when the war ended he found himself realizing that he had never wanted to be a doctor. He was always following what his mother wanted for him and never had his own ambitions. Going back home his mother didn't understand what he had gone through and wanted him to continue his pre-set life plan. 

Unable to bear the weight of his mothers controlling behavior and expectations he fled. 

Boarded the first train out of his town in search of a life of his own outside of his mother's expectations. 

The Decapitated is the first moonscorching to occur. Similarly to Abella's moonscorching, a choice must be made between Riddle and a secondary contestant. His moonscorching will occur on day 1 afternoon. 

Unable to free himself from his mother's influence The Decapitated can be found stalking around the sewers surrounded by the headless corpses of moonscorched villagers. The decapitated moves with an enraged fury seeing anything that approaches as a threat. 

The design of the decapitated is loosely inspired by riddles overblot. The decapitated wears a similar shirt to riddles standard shirt. Riddle's face is pulled into an expression of anger as it swings back and forth. A part of riddles moonscorching is inspired by tanaka's judgment . 

If the player targets the axe head the creature will continue to attack wildly but will be blinded. 

In an encounter there is a high chance of limb loss in battle. The battle mechanics would be most similar to a death mask with a decently high hp and a mind draining screech.

Next up is Vil !!

For Vils design I put him in a simple shirt with flowing pants and an iris flower in his pocket. it's simple yet still fashionable.

Moonschorched Vil

Envy

Growing up in the cult of Sylvian, Vil  was primed by those around him to be a thing of beauty. Attaining untouchable beauty was his main goal in life. Eventually he ventured out into the world and found himself a lover. Eventually they got married and the two of them lived a happy and resplendent life in his lover's manor. 

His happy life was changed when he found his lover in the arms of another. A woman from a neighboring country's noble household. Blinded by his jealousy and rage he killed them both.  When his mind cleared he was horrified by what he had done and in his panic fled to the nearest train to get out of town. Grieving the death of his lover he is haunted by his ugly jealous tendencies. He fears the monster he became in that moment when he snuffed out an innocent life. She was just a girl despite his anger towards her for catching his lover's eye. 

Envy is the embodiment of the monster vil became in that moment. 

A raging beast whos strive towards ethereal beauty means destroying all those who may rival him. Eyes torn out by his own hand he blinds himself to the world around him and lets the ugly side of himself ( his envy) be on full display. He is at his most disgusting and most beautiful in that moment. His guilt thrown away and letting himself be at his most spiteful. 

Rher, wanting to bring out the monster inside of Vil revives the woman he killed ( Neige ) and has the mutilated Neige  attack the player.  If the player fails to defeat Neige ( Stitches for enemy reference) when she spawns on afternoon of day 2. If the player fails to encounter her Vil can be found instead stomping on Neige before attacking the player. 

His peacock harpy-like body takes a slightly feminine appearance to mimic Neige's body. The peacock hand becomes Vil’s new eyes pointing him in the direction of his next victim. The head of the peacock spews poison from its delicate beak hitting all party members. 

Holding the same poisoned dagger as in his non-moonschorched form , envy attacks the player with poison , slashing attacks  , and mind draining screeches 

Vils story was inspired a lot by daan’s and the look of envy was slightly inspired by valkyrie but not much.  Neige as stated previously takes the role of stitches in the enemy roster. 

The peacock is a symbol heavily used in reference to Vil and Pomfiore as well as the evil queen in twst. The peacock symbolizes beauty and having the symbolic bird take over his body as it has already consumed his mind is what happens with his moonschorching.  Vils' ragged and hunched appearance is a reference to the elderly hag the evil queen becomes when she poisons snow white. However instead of poison killing Neige it is the poison within Vil, his jealousy, that drives him to murder. 

 Vil's lover could be anyone, written with Rook in mind as a potential candidate, the betrayal of Vils lover is a reference to Rook choosing Neige over Vil despite his overblot about Neige ultimately leading to Vil's defeat at VDC. 

NOTE !!

(With an undefined secondary non-playable cast where roles from a playable character's past could be promoted to a termina contestant. All this to say that Vil can be with whoever,  twst character or otherwise, but there is a context for one possible route. )

Vil’s lover's betrayal is also a reference to Neige and Vils rivalry and how Neige is constantly picked instead of Vil because of his beauty being “ too untouchable” or “ too perfect”. The game describes Neiges appearance as more “ realistically beautiful “ and having a more relatable aura.  This thought process is also why Vil’s lover cheats on him, finding his beauty so ethereal their eye is drawn to a simpler beauty by contrast.

Vengeance

Idia’s design and moonscorching main inspirations were Olivia and Daan. Specifically their moon-scorched forms. similarly to Daan Idia becomes possessed by another entity.

 Referencing book 6 of twst when the soul of the deceased ortho whispers and possesses (robot) ortho who then convinces Idia to voluntarily overblot, In this scenario, idia is haunted by the tortured soul of his younger brother.

 Under the influence of Rher, a corrupted piece of Ortho's soul traps idia within his own grief and anguish burning away his flesh and becoming a skeletonized hollow of himself. A corrupted ortho puppeteers Idia’s mechanical skeleton body and attacks the player in a dazed rage

Idia’s story was heavily influenced by Olivia's story and her connection to mechanics. Idia’s techy nature also allows himself to be placed into this mechanical category. 

Before his brother's death, his family were engineers working on building a device that would allow humanity to transcend the human form. This device was ordered to be made by governing forces to create super soldiers that could forever fight. Or at least that is what Idia was told.

One day Ortho happened to get trapped within the device as Idia was working on it. The device that was supposed to have been turned off had suddenly turned on. Shortly after the accident, the machine and consequently ortho’s body vanished. 

Idias main motivation is his search for answers about the true reason for the machine and who how and why the mechanism activated. His search for answers ends when he finds the machine god. Following in the footsteps of Olivia in searching for her twin, idias story follows a similar path. 

Vengeance seeks to destroy all those who try and stop idias quest for revenge against whatever he perceives to have killed his brother.  To be encountered on the third day in the museum. vengeance will spawn if the player fails to convince idia to continue searching for answers in the face of unending ruin. 

Mirroring the heroes that he and his brother admired, vengeance stands heroically and shows no mercy to those who stand in its way. Carrying Ortho's burning soul over his heart vengeance blindly follows the will of Rher and their unknowable goals. 

In this au ortho takes the role of Reila.

Fear and Hunger Twisted wonderland AU

For this AU I took a look into what moonscorching actually is. Moonscorching a simple explanation is that it transforms a contestant into a representation of their worst qualities and fears. Combining this idea with the concept of overblotting where a person is transformed based on the build-up of magic blot and negative emotions over a significant amount of time I present  the twisted wonderland fear and hunger AU

Following the contestant rules there are only 14 students that are involved in the festival of termina. the 7 overblotters from twst main story and Yuu are the playable cast while the remaining 6 are the non-playable contestants. Yuu functions as a perspective character in this scenario and their actions would be that of the player of fear and hunger. All other contestants go through their own actions throughout the 3-day cycle Yuu can recruit teammates and try and make their way out of Prehevil. 

For the overblotting cast their moonschorched forms are based on the design elements and the backstory that we learn from their overblotted forms. Designing each element with the themes of fear and hunger and the knowledge of the twst cast I plan to envision a design for our 7 cast members.  ( note all cast members will be human in this au and non human characters ex. leona will lack non human features and abilities)

Taking after his mother's wishes a 22 year old riddle is a school educated doctor. Acting as a war medic outside of the battlefield, he is on the train back to his hometown after an angry letter from his mother. 

Leona  ( zoophobia)

 The son of a wealthy and influential businessman,Leona set off in search of a purpose outside of his family's cruel leadership. Now 33 he has spent years traveling to find a purpose outside of destruction. Running from his past that threatens to catch up to him he boards the train. 

Azul  ( teratophobia)

A corrupt and money-hungry 26-year-old mafia man azul has lived a life dedicated to the ideals of the family leader. Despite growing tensions and the familys growing interest in the occult azul boards the train on a mission to track down the hier of a wealthy businessman associated with the family. 

Jamil  ( Rhabdophobia) 

A man on the run Jamil is a 27-year-old ex-servant of a powerful silk trading family. Escaping after an altercation with the heir he finds himself on the run from his past armed with his familys occult knowledge and his experiences as a bodyguard he boards the train in an attempt to find a new life

Vil  ( erotophobia)

Growing up in the church of Sylvian his family have spent years priming vil to be the most beautiful man as to gain Sylvian’s favor. Now 27 after withstanding cruel rituals vil is betrayed when his beloved chooses another.  Running off in a jealous rage vil finds himself on the train 

Idia  ( Phantasmophobia)

Devastated after the death of his younger brother a young idia devotes himself to finding a way to revive his younger brother. Now 29 his pursuits lead him to a train in hopes that the church of Allmer will have answers�� 

Malleus ( Rhabdophobia) 

 After the death of his parents, a young malleus was raised by an old man. after getting injured in the war his father falls deathly ill. Now a 27-year-old botanist malleus boards a train in search of a cure

You try to remember how you got here…

All you remember is seeing a man in a crows mask telling you that you are needed.

He asks you what you would like to take on your journey. 

What do you take?

Something to read 

Something to protect yourself with 

You took ( option choice )

You try and remember who you are… 

Your name is Yuu and you dont know where you’ve come from or where you're going. 

All you know is that you must move forward 

Something looks at you with interest 

You wake up. 

You look around and the train you are riding is unfamiliar to you.

 You see a boy with blue hair dressed in white. 

He walks away, a blue butterfly following him.

You decide to follow him 

You decide to explore the train for a moment. 

The train cars wooden floor and siding matches nicely with the deep red seats

The walls have a striped red wallpaper that has started to fade with wear and time. 

The train is empty and quiet 

Papers and random luggage are scattered around the floor 

In one of the suitcases you find a Knife of some sorts  

You decide to keep it with you for some reason 

As you continue to walk down the isle of the train the red wallpaper gives way to a seemingly endless wall of suitcases. 

As you look at the alarming number of suitcases something begins to feel off 

The sparkle of the blue butterfly appears near .. a doorway? 

You enter the doorway and suddenly your inside of a workshop 

Before your able to process the change in scenery a Creature walks briskly towards you

The.. Thing’s .skin is pale and fleshy blue and red vieny patches cover their body of wich you can see all of 

The creature is nude and walks unbothered by this fact . 

The skin of their back is flayed open and strung upon a Lyre like shaped object 

His hands and feet are crudely mishapen and in their hands is a knife of some sort 

In thier ribcage and on the side of their legs large needles peirce their skin 

Janitor : “ YOU”

Janitor: “ ive been looking for you EVERYWHERE”

Janitor: “ Just where do you think you ran off to ? Dont you understand the hurry we are in ?”

Ran off to ?  a part of your mind tells you that this creature is called the janitor 

Yuu : “ I dont understand”

Janitor : “ No one expects you to ! You are a stupid fucking human after all!” 

Janitor: “ Now .. GET YOUR ASS BACK TO THE WORKBENCH!” 

You sit at a worktable following the orders of the janitor 

The creature hands you materials 

Janitor : “ This is your last chance. Next time ITS PUNISHING TIME!” 

Yuu : “ what am i supposed to do ?”

Janitor: “ WHAT? You are supposed to assemble new cubes of course !

Janitor: “ As for how - figure it out for yourself! If your not capable of that much, you’re beyond hope and useless in every sense of the word”

Just then you notice the boy with the blue hair dressed in white at the workbench next to yours 

 The janitor notices the boy looking at you and turns around

Janitor : “ WHATCHA GOOGLING AT!? “

Janitor: “ Theres nothing to see here. Eyes on the cubes!

Janitor: “ WORK! Or ill rip those eyes out of that pretty face of yours”

Boy in white : “ …”

The janitor walks away leaving the two of you to assemble your cubes

As your assembling you notice the boy in white trying to get your attention 

He waves you over to follow him and you do 

Before your able to go very far however you hear a loud voice once again 

Janitor: “ WHere do you think you’re going!?”

The janitor approaches rapidly once again 

Thier eyes bulge out of their sockets and their gaze intensifies 

They sit down blocking your path forward and taunts you to fight 

Slowly the realisation dawns upon you that you must fight this creature to get past 

The knife in thier hand threatens you but you have a knife of your own and intend to attack first before your opponent can get you

You grip your knife feeling the weight of your actions as you strike the Janitor 

He strikes back injuring you 

The two of you exchange attacks before you realise that the easiest way to defend yourself in this moment is to disarm your attacker. 

Swinging your blade you cut off the Janitors arm that was carrying their weapon

Resorting to punching attacks The janitor continues their relentless assault before you finnally defeats the Janitor

The creature falls over dead 

You succeed in the fight against the Janitor 

You continue exploring the? train?  your surroundings begin to shift.

You find yourself in an unfamiliar room surrounded by large imposing figures sitting around tables. Their eyes stare unblinkingly into your soul almost as if judging you for your existence. Their stare makes you feel as if they see every part of your being, past, present ,and future. it makes your mind fill with static 

It hurts to think 

It hurts to breathe 

It hurts to even exist at this moment in time 

Your body collapses to the ground and you clutch at your head tightly 

When the static fades from your mind you find that your body has glitched into a new place 

It feels as if you are at the top of a tall tower. 

 A man in a bird’s mask and a cape of feathers stands and greets you 

 The moon hangs high and heavy behind the man. Its haunting face almost mockingly stares at you. you feel a sort of divine presence coming from the moon but you don't know why 

 Mysterious bird man: “Got you pulled out from that nasty place “

 Mysterious bird man: “You were going deep down that rabbit hole “

 Mysterious bird man: “ Now you are safe under the beautiful green Hue of the moon, welcome to the Moon Tower”

Yuu: “What's going on here ?” 

 Mysterious bird man: “Ohohoho. That is what I am here for. Seeing as I am oh so benevolent and I will generously explain to you the exact predicament you find yourself to be facing”

 Mysterious bird man: “ To explain the great once-in-a-lifetime opportunity that has fallen into your grasp “

Yuu : is this a nightmare?

Mysterious bird man: “ Oh Hardly, you need but only adjust your perspective accordingly and it will be anything but a nightmare”

Mysterious bird man: “ Since our words could not possibly reach my master, I speak on his behalf”

Mysterious bird man: “ And who might my master be ?....”

Mysterious bird man: “ Well for now lets just say he is the delinquent one “

You feel as if you know the name of the god this man speaks of 

A gut reaction tells you that the god in question is Rher the moon god 

…

You cant seem to recall exactly why you know this information 

Mysterious bird man : “ ohohoho yes “ 

The man takes a deep bow and presents himself with a sort of flair 

Mysterious bird man: “ and me? You can call me Crowley i am just a humble servant of his celestial majesty.”

Crowley . crowley the name sounds familiar

His bird mask stares into your eyes 

Crowley :  “ you are the dreamer, he is the dream”

Crowley: “ My master has invited you to join us in this jubilee of cosmic proportions”

Crowley : “ 14 contestants , one true victor”

Crowley : “ The Festival of Termina is upaon us !” 

Termina… again something bout that name feels familiar. 

You cant seem to put your finger on it 

Yuu : “ What is this Festival of termina ?”

Crowley : “ It is a festival to give you - the humans - a peek to grandeur and a chance to reach for illustrious heights."

Crowley: "The festival to end all festivals."

 Yuu : "I don't understand any of this..."

Crowley:"It is only natural. All this must be beyond your understanding “

Crowley : “ You will understand in time “

Crowley : “ This must be quite the influx of information Ohhohh. Alas i will no longer burden you with any more information at the moment”

 Crowley : “ Just head towards the tower. Thats all you need to know “

Crowley: “ Let us meet again under the moonlight”

Notes: Yuu in this context is acting as the " cannon" Pov but any of the overblot cast are playable in this context

following mostly game-accurate dialogue will continue until the main beginning scenes end

from then on dialogue will stray to fit character interactions more cleanly

Twisted Wonderland Fear and Hunger AU

Prologue Chapter pt 2

Train

( No warnings apply)

( master post / Last)

Everyone is standing or sitting around the stopped train.  

Boy with red hair: “... So that must be the best course of action for now – –” ( riddle)

Yuu interrupts the conversation 

Beautiful man : “ Oh it seems like the sleepyhead is awake” ( Vil)

Yuu: “ What's going on here? ”

 Boy with red hair : “You must be just as clueless as the rest of us. The train left us all here, at the outskirts of the city. All the train personnel, everyone, gone. No explanations. "

 Yuu : “ …..”

Man with cigar: “ We decided to stay and wait here for a while. Someone has to come for the train sooner or later. So if you're not in a hurry, I recommend just taking a seat inside and trying to relax." (Azul) 

Man with herbs : “ Perhaps we could introduce ourselves” ( malleus)

Man with herbs : “ My name is Malleus. Lovely to meet you all”

Yuu introduces themself 

Older gentleman : “ You can call me Leona”

Smug boy: “ Ace Trappola”

Unsettling man: " You may call me Jade "

Beautiful man : My name is Vil, you may refer to me as such “

Yuu : “ What's going on here ?”

Shy boy: The train just stopped in the middle of nowhere. None of us really know why..."  ( idia) 

Boy with red hair : “ So you're saying we’re stuck here ?” 

Boy with overalls : “ Pretty much…” ( deuce)

Boy with overalls : “ There’s something wrong with the engine. It wont start.  I mean there isn't anything obviously wrong with it, but it simply won't start. Maybe if I had some spare parts I could still try a thing or two…”

Boy with red hair: “"Hmm... Well you tried. If our mechanic got no clue, maybe it's better we just wait for the train personnel to return then”

Yuu interprets the conversation 

Boy with overalls : “Oh. You're awake ! You were the last one to wake. What's your name?”

Yuu : “ It's only polite to introduce yourself first.”

Boy with overalls: “ That's fair. I'm Deuce, nice to meet you !”

Boy with red hair: “ My name is Riddle”

Yuu introduces themself

Riddle: “ If you're not in a hurry, I recommend just taking a seat inside and trying to relax.”

Shy boy : “ B- Before you go... Should we go over the dream discussion with the new one too ”

Yuu: “ Did you see the dream too!”  

Shy boy: “"Everyone saw the same dream before waking up in the train! The moon, the boy in white, the Festival of Termina... It all felt too real to pass off as just a dream! ” ( reference ortho )

Ace : “ Talk like this is all hogwash. This is some weird sadistic Breman army experiment or hallucinogen. Now that the war is over, they have to get their guinea pigs elsewhere!.”

Vil: “ I wish I had your ability to be so naive, But I really have a hard time believing every conspiracy theory floating around.”

Riddle : “ Such foolishness from someone who knows not the experiences of the war. I myself have seen my fair share of hallucinogens as a doctor and i can say with utmost certainty , that anything YOU may be describing is pure fantasy. There is no known chemical compound that could produce identical visions amongst so many individuals. Pure lunacy”

Ace : “ I didnt ask for your opinion now did I !? Who cares what some pompous asshole tries telling me whats plausible and what's not. Ill have you know that while i may not have been out in the line of fire i sure as hell have seen for myself the aftermaths”

Yuu sees the flush of anger flush up Riddle's face. 

The two continue to bicker nonsensically 

Yuu : “ …”

Deuce : “  … ”

Shy boy : “ … ”

Vil : “ …”

Yuu decides to walk away

Yuu takes a moment to take in their surroundings. There are a smattering of colorful characters surrounding the train. A few stayed inside or strayed away from the main group but all those who had been on the train there were present . 

You hadn't really had a whole lot of time to get a good look at everyone before they all began to settle themselves around the train in different areas 

Yuu decides to stick around the train a bit more so that they can talk to a few people

Yuu heads back inside the train and sees the shy boy carving something into the floor of the train car. 

In his hand is an old book that looks like it's bound in leather but something about it seems strange. 

He eyes Yuu suspiciously before continuing whatever he was doing

Shy Boy: “... “

Yuu: “ So what are you doing” 

Shy boy : “ …” 

Yuu: “ …” 

Shy boy: “ Don't you have anything better to do with your time” 

Seems like he doesn't want to be bothered at this time. Maybe later you can ask about that book?

Yuu approaches the man with the cigar 

Man with cigar: “ This is all very strange. And to think that HE of all people would be here” 

He seems to finally notice your presence

Man with cigar: “ My apologies , my name is Azul. Im … looking for a friend of mine who might be in the city . perhaps if you run into him you could let me know? “

Dialogue options 

Who is your friend ?

Azul : “ a gentleman with lion cufflinks. He isn't one that's hard to miss“ 

No 

Azul : “ …   piece of shi– “ 

Azul : “ leave me be for now ”

Yuu leaves 

Yuu approaches Riddle and Ace 

…

The two seem to be engaged in a heated argument perhaps you  could discuss more later? 

Yuu approaches a man with a long ponytail 

He seems uncomfortable 

Man with ponytail: “ What is it that you want?”

Yuu: “ So… What's your story? 

Man with ponytail: “ … who's asking?”

Yuu: “ Just a curious traveler looking to pass the time”

Man with Ponytail: “ Well same im simply a traveler from out of the country looking for a new place to stay ”

Man with ponytail: “ What's your name traveler?”

Yuu: “ Yuu. How about your name ?

Man with ponytail: “ … the name’s Jamil.”

Jamil: “ Probably best to keep that information to yourself who knows what these people are doing here”

Jamil: “ The world is an untrustworthy place it's best you remember that. Yuu “

With that Jamil leaves the conversation and begins to walk away from the train 

Up on the roof examining the train is Deuce 

Yuu : “ Any luck figuring out what's going on?”

Deuce: “ No clues yet. The best bet for right now is to try and go find some spare parts to repair what i can of the engine”

Yuu: “ Is it really that bad? “

Deuce: “ … yeah.” 

Thats weird? Unfortunately you dont really have any way of disproving deuces claims. He is the only mechanic on the train. 

Deuce: “ well either way nothing can be done till i get my hands on some spare parts”

Deuce turns back to the engine and continues to poke around 

Yuu sees a group of people discussing something over a map 

Malleus : “ looking at the map inside the train we seem to be on the outskirts of Prehivil. We should try and find someone in the city to help us out”

Most of the others seem unamused by the suggestion. 

Jade : “ it seems that if we are to reach the town we should head that way through the woods” 

Jade and a few others begin to walk away from the train in different directions heading to the city

( meeting end)

DAY 1 

( Notes: from here there will be a split in the story of possible routes

the story will follow one route at a time and each route will lead to different endings

this initial dialogue will stay relatively unchanged between routes and is the standard starting dialogue )

I’m currently finalizing the main cast background and designs

I want to more fully flesh out the secondary cast backgrounds before creating moonschorch designs so that just like the main cast , thiers have significance to thier characters

I am also planning on releaseing the next part of the dialogue soon ! This includes the secondary cast !
