To sum up what happens for you in the latest chapter, Mei tells the manager to not tell Yuzu about the arranged marriage, she's going through with it because of her grandfathers health, and Yuzu and Mei go try on wedding dresses where Yuzu states she hopes to wear dresses similar to these for real one day, and that makes Mei a sobbing mess because she doesn't want to marry the manager but has no choice. p.s. It is very very heartbreaking T_T

I read a summary of it somewhere and yeah it's pretty damn heartbreaking. And I understand that her upbringing makes it difficult for her to go against tradition but I also wish she doesn't have to handle everything by herself all the time. I have a friend similar to this where she just keeps all her problems to herself and doesn't want to burden anyone with them. I guess it's just to remain strong, another part is also because she was raised in a family where you don't actively talk out your problems (and a list of other things that would keep me here all day). She usually places her family first, even when they're running her to the ground (because she's brought up to believe that family always comes first no matter how cruel and shitty and messy they are to you) and it's awful to see because me and another good friend of mine (her boyfriend) wishes she could go against that. But we both know that's difficult for her. It puts my friend under a lot of anxiety because she won't talk out her problems and just tries to solve everything on her own. I felt like I wanted to mention that because ever since ch 33 Mei has been getting a little too much flak for the situation she's in. A part of me wants to believe that while she feels that she's obligated to follow through with it for her family's wishes, she's trying to figure something out (maybe) to get out of it. And I feel like it's because she's trying save both herself and Yuzu since Yuzu has been doing everything in their relationship to keep it evolving. But of course, that's just my thoughts 🤔

Hey! Ofc I can do that!!

The last thing peter remembers is the feeling of a sharp pain splitting his body open. “Peter! Peter, baby please stay with me” Tony begged scooping the young hero up in his arms. “Steve I’m taking peter to the tower!” Tony didn’t wait for a reply just soared off. Peter groaned out in pain. “Hey, it’s okay, you’re gonna be okay, I promise” Tony said, upping the power of his thrusters. “To-ny, it hurts” Peter whimpered using the last of his strength to rip his mask off, letting the cold air of Manhattan hit his face. “Kid, you gotta stay with me okay!” Peter nodded before his head lolled back. “Peter!”

And then he woke up. The pain gone. All that was left was a slight bruise. His senses dialed back to normal. It felt..odd. Weird. He wondered for a minute if this is what normal people felt like. And then he remembered this so what he used to feel like, before the bite, before Ben died. Before becoming Spider-Man. It felt so…weird. “Peter?” He heard softly. “Hey, welcome back to the land of the living” Tony sighed softly. The bags under his eyes becoming more prominent. Peter groaned, lettihg his body regain its strength. “Tony?” He whispered groggily “what happened” Peter scrunched his face up into a ball. “Oww” “Hey, it’s okay, just relax, yeah? Cho got you fixed up, the morphine’s just hitting your body which is why your senses aren’t fully dialed” Peter nodded “Can we go home? I hate hospitals” Tony nodded before stepping out of the room.

A second later he walked back in with a wheelchair, “hop in mr Parker” Peter smiled and slowly placed his feet on the floor, feeling his legs shake as he did. “Woah, you’re okay” Tony spoke softly, letting peter grab onto his arm and steady himself. Peter smiled and fell into the chair letting his body sink into the rich leather. “Mmmm, you know what sounds good” peter mumbled “what’s that” “A burger” Tony laughed “baby, you can have all the burgers you want, you just gotta rest” Peter groaned “but I have finals and patrol” Tony tutted as the elevator doors closed before crouching Infront of his boyfriend. “Peter, I love you, but you gotta stay in bed. Please, you can take the finals at home. As for patrol, I’m sure Wanda or vis wouldn’t mind doing it. Please, please just rest okay?” Peter looked at the sadness in Tony’s eyes. “Okay, but, you gotta promise to stop going in the lab for as long as you usually do.” Tony smiled and nodded “Anything for you my love” Peter smiled and bent forwards to kiss Tony’s lips “I love you” Peter whispered grazing his teeth against Tony’s bottom lip. “I love you too bambino”

Is this an /actual/ groomer pedo situation or do they just like fiction ships that you disapprove of. Like if you're gonna throw such serious accusations around I would expect you to at least link to some hard proof.

The only reason I didn’t think about putting the proof out on Tumblr was because the callout thread with receipts where the writer in question was outed as one, was on Twitter, and because it happened last year. That, along with the person removing themselves from the internet, made me think it wasn't completely necessary to include it here. I don't even know if Degrad3d has an online presence anymore.

Also, I was thinking people who saw the username would look it up themselves for proof since the first few Google search results point to a thread on Twitter, written by Memeframe. I'm relatively new to Co09. I didn't get into it until shortly before Flip Side came out, so I only knew about this stuff recently. After reading a comment calling the orphan account, a pedophile, I also thought it was just someone throwing out an accusation. The comment below was from one of the author's works, Finishing What We Started.

At the time I didn't know who the person in-question was when I saw this comment, but when I was reading another fic that was orphaned, Rip Out My Heart I saw that they put their username, remembered what the other comment said, and looked up their name.

That's when I ended up seeing these:

I understand that Twitter, and most of the online world nowadays tend to throw around heavy accusations of someone being a groomer/pedophile because they might think whatever they like in fiction means they condone whatever that is, in real life. Unfortunately, that wasn't the case, and two minors were groomed, exploited, and manipulated by someone who was well-admired in the Co09 fandom at the time.

To be honest, I was hesitant on even answering this because the people who got involved with her want nothing but to make her a forgotten memory. But since I would see some comments on her orphaned work wondering if they'll ever come back and continue, I figured it was something for people to know.

To be honest, I don’t have too many thoughts or headcanons about them, but I think they’re cute. I actually ship Ari with either Kelly or Emily since girl has been going through so many L’s in-game.

angsty Jecka Headcanons Abt what her family life is like? <33

Ooh this one hmmm...

I might not have too many aside from the general idea that she would unintentionally pick up habits from her controlling and abusive parents.

As a kid, Jecka would hide in her room whenever her parents would argue and turn up the TV volume to drown out their fights.

Her dad has most likely cheated a few times, but her mom stayed just to save face. The only reason why she'd finally leave him is because the physical abuse was getting to a point she couldn't deal with anymore.

Jecka's mom would often pick out her clothes for her, which is why she comes off as preppy on the surface (this might've been mentioned in the game, but I don't remember).

Jecka's dad doesn't always physically hit her, but the one time she didn't listen to his demands, he threw her against a bookshelf. She would just end up cowering in fear every time he yells at her because it's at least better than getting beaten.

Growing up, Jecka would often see/hear her parents arguing every other night, but then the next morning be all lovey-dovey like nothing happened, and she's just learned how to ignore it so that she doesn't need to deal with all that (also it's how she ends up developing a coping mechanism for dealing with conflict).

Her mom would force this life path on her (which had been ingrained in her since she was a child): go to an Ivy League, marry rich by 25, and have kids by 26. After meeting Nicole, most of her mom's life path suggestions were all bullshit.

Years later, while Jecka cuts contact with her dad once she no longer needs him financially, she still maintains a cordial relationship with her mom.

The first time Jecka got beaten by her dad, she snuck into her mom's makeup cabinet to hide the bruises.

Her grandma (on her mom's side) is more of a control freak than Jecka's mom and has sent her clothing gifts that are definitely not her style (and way worse than what her mom tells her to wear). But Jecka is forced to wear it whenever she has to visit her.

When her mom left her with her dad (Flip Side), Jecka blames her for not staying to continue shielding her from the abuse even though she knows how fucked up that sounds.

When her home life is surprisingly normal, Jecka mostly just listens to what her parents talk about and doesn't really share too much about her school life with them (especially about Nicole).

I'll probably add more if the brain worm gets to me again, but these were at the top of my head and I hope they weren't too melodramatic. The way I see Jecka's family is that they're the typical white suburban family where they pretend they're so perfect on the outside (her dad donates to charity, her mom is a department store manager/worker, their family is pretty well-off), while having so many problems behind closed doors (her dad is a drunk deadbeat who beats his wife and kid, her mom projects herself so much into the image she wants her daughter to be).

When Jecka studies for med school, Nicole has gotten annoyed sometimes (because it's "all she does") but ultimately ends up doing things like giving her food while deep in the study grind and has also placed a blanket over her after falling asleep at her desk.

I also agree with a headcanon I saw awhile ago that Nicole would be willing to be "housewife" (but would never in a million call herself that lmao) for Jecka only. She'd be keeping the living space clean and all while Jecka would be out at work.

After Jecka's long shifts at work, she and Nicole go out to eat dinner as late as 1am.

Jecka would be the one decorating the apartment during the holidays.

Nicole would take care of the laundry while Jecka takes care of the taxes.

Sometimes they'd watch TV together on the couch and end up falling asleep while it's playing in the background. I mentioned this in another post but during the summer, Jecka and her long mane take up so much of the bed space that Nicole ends up finding herself on the floor the next morning. But during the winter time, Nicole steals all the blankets, leaving Jecka freezing her ass off.

They'd sometimes smoke together outside their apartment in silence, either after an argument or after a stressful day.

This one isn't exactly Jeckole, but whenever Emily comes to visit them, they almost always expect her to pick the lock to let herself in. Jecka has offered to give Emily a spare key, but she's rejected it several times.

Brain rot coming in. I also want to mention that a majority of these headcanons are rooted in my “Jeckole moving away after graduation and eventually healing years later despite still being a bit fucked up” headcanon. Some headcanons are also inspired by the ones from people who were once super active in the fandom months ago.

Jecka ends up getting accepted to a university in California which leads to her ticket out of her shitty town (she starts with Undecided for some time but ends up choosing pre-med to eventually become a doctor).

Nicole ends up tagging along with her out of convenience at first (she was a bit hesitant at first because she knows she’ll probably bring Jecka down whatever bullshit she gets herself into, but it beats being alone). She also ends up moving out with Jecka because LA is where she’s wanted to go for some time. Also, her mom was actually planning on kicking her out for good (even though her loser brother still gets to freeload).

I personally see Nicole as someone who suffers from extreme depression and self-worth issues due to her upbringing and is more on the cusp of having ASPD (but also, I’m still learning about ASPD, so correct me if it doesn’t work that way).

Jecka has the capability of becoming as fucked up and abusive as her dad. I mostly say this from the scene in Flip Side where she yells at Crispin telling him to off himself, unprovoked.

I also see Jecka as a potential alcoholic with anger issues (if she stayed with her dad any further).

Nicole has a form of cPTSD from her unstable environment and the implication that one of her stepfathers abused her. Even if she were to be placed in a stable environment after high school, the damage has already been done, and she’d still find ways to fuck it up because she every time she felt genuinely a little happy/satisfied with her living situation, it would disappear in puff of smoke.

Nicole ends up on meds and therapy years after moving out of Virginia, but it’s off-and-on.

Jecka also goes on meds and therapy after having a mental breakdown in med school and also after shoving Nicole against a book case during one of their arguments (she’s more consistent with it than Nicole).

During their time living in LA together, Nicole goes homeless three separate times, with one of them being her getting kicked out after Jecka finally had enough of her shit. The last time Nicole goes homeless, it’s after having an extremely difficult time adjusting to the meds and therapy and her cPTSD makes her want to leave because actual stability was getting too real for her.

Despite kicking her out for her bullshit, Jecka still lets Nicole live with her because she’s still codependent on her. Nicole is one of the few people she can be her fucked up self around, and also asked her to come to LA because she didn’t want to be alone either.

Nicole is 1/4 Asian on her dad’s side.

Following Progman’s fic, Jecka sees herself as Nicole’s savior but not entirely in an “I can fix her” type of way.

The only people from high school they still keep in touch with is Emily, with Kelly and Ari added after meeting again at a bar a decade later.

Even though Jecka’s doctor money keeps them both afloat, Nicole ends up working at a bar as a consistent job just to keep herself busy.

The only person from Jecka’s family that she keeps in touch with is her mom. She stays in contact with her dad for financial reasons, but cuts him off after she doesn’t need him anymore.

Nicole cuts off everyone from her family.

Nicole ends up getting sleeve tattoos after being sober from cutting for a significant period of time (I don’t know what the designs would be though).

aurawra21 also mentioned this, but Nicole would probably lean more towards a masc/butch look years after high school. This would include chopping her hair to shoulder length.

I also agree with the general headcanon that Jecka would have abs and have a more toned body compared to Nicole’s stick noodle-like figure.

Nicole would be the type to throw Jecka’s textbook out the window to force her to take a break while studying for med school.

Nicole is a secret nerd/geek (knowing that manga should be read from right to left, liking Mythbusters, used to play video games with her brother—all mentioned somewhere in the original game and Re-Up).

If she cared about school more, Nicole’s favorite subject would probably be chemistry.

Jecka sometimes gets very overprotective over Nicole especially after 1) getting shot by the crazy cop (Re-Up), 2) having nightmares of running to Nicole too late during the People Pleaser Route (Class of ‘09 Suicide Ending), 3) finding out Nicole overdosed/got poisoned by opioids during the very last time she went homeless (Future Timeline headcanon).

I sometimes see Jecka as a pretty neurotic person, who tries and fails to hide it.

When really affectionate, Jecka really loves to kiss Nicole’s neck (angsty reasons in one of my original posts lol).

The two simultaneously make each other better and worse.

They enter an off-and-on situationship for a number of years until they decide to get court married for the benefits.

They wear fake marriage rings when out in public in an effort to try and ward off desperate men. It doesn’t always work, but they’ll never admit to each other that they actually do like wearing them.

Aaaannnddd these are the most that I’ve remembered at the top of my head. I might add more as time goes on, but I love the idea of them reaching adulthood and becoming somewhat more well-adjusted over time.
