Glass greenhouse: what to grow, how to care and essential tools
In cold climates, growing under cover allows you to extend the growing season by starting your crops early and giving them an almost endless summer. New glasshouses are costly but glass has advantages over plastic, longevity being one of them. Ultraviolet light won't cause your panes to fall to bits, as plastic does over time, but broken glass panes can be expensive to replace. Plastic tunnelhouses generally cost less and are easier to transport and install. Or build your own glasshouse (or a cold frame – pictured – for smaller gardens) from old windows.  from http://www.stuff.co.nz/life-style/home-property/nz-gardener/90825763/Glass-greenhouse-what-to-grow-how-to-care-and-essential-tools from Chelsea Kingston's Blog http://chelseak85.blogspot.com/2017/04/glass-greenhouse-what-to-grow-how-to.html

Tunnel Vision Dan Havel and Dean Ruck turned a to-be-torn-down house into an art installation known as ‘Inversion’. Latterly known as the ‘Tunnel House’, the condemned structure’s transformation marked a refreshing change from the vandalism that often befalls many abandoned buildings and places. The property on Montrose Blvd. belonged to the Art League of Houston. Using the boards from the outside of the houses Havel and Ruck created a large funnel-like vortex running between the two which ended in a small hole in an adjacent courtyard. In their previous lives both buildings had been used for over 30 years as exhibition spaces and art classes, they were torn down in 2005 shortly after this “goodbye installation”. Havel Ruck Projects (Dan Havel and Dean Ruck) is an artist collaborative that works in public and quasi-public environments to repurpose architectural structures and remnants of no perceived market value into works of art. Beginning informally in 1994 with Project O House, in collaboration with Kate Petley, the duo came together again in 2004. In 2009 they formalized their collaborative as Havel Ruck Projects, LLP. #chapeaulondon #chapeaublog #dedicatedtothethingswelove #wordsandpictures #amazing #london #lifestyle #havelruckprojects #danhavel #deanruck #tunnelhouse #inversion #art #installation #houston #texas (at Houston, Texas)
