Understanding Car Window Replacement
What is Car Window Replacement?
Car window replacement involves removing the damaged window and installing a new one. This process requires precision and expertise to ensure the new window fits perfectly and is properly sealed, preventing leaks and ensuring safety.
Common Reasons for Needing a Car Window Replacement
There are several reasons why you might need a car window replacement. These include accidents and collisions, vandalism, natural wear and tear, and harsh weather conditions typical of Tucson's climate. Each of these factors can compromise the integrity of your car windows, making replacement necessary.
Types of Car Windows:
Front Windshield
The front windshield is perhaps the most critical window in your vehicle. It provides clear visibility and is crucial for your safety. Even minor damage here can quickly escalate, making timely replacement essential.
Rear Windshield
The rear windshield supports your car's structural integrity and provides visibility for reversing and monitoring traffic behind you. Damage to this window can significantly impact your driving safety and comfort.
Side Windows
Side windows are important for ventilation and safety. They also provide protection during accidents. Damage to these windows can hinder their operation and leave your vehicle vulnerable.
Vent Windows
Vent windows, often found in older models, offer additional ventilation. Though they are less common in modern vehicles, they still require attention if damaged.

Natural Wear and Tear
Over time, car windows can suffer from wear and tear due to frequent use and exposure to the elements. This gradual damage can weaken the glass and lead to cracks.

drastic + vincent please :3
DRASTIC [x] characters >> vincent mayer (oc), vitali dobrynin (oc) context >> july 2077; vincent and vitali are in tucson to try and figure out a way to stop vincent from dying after johnny silverhand has been successfully removed from his head total >> 1.6k words warnings >> death mention, hospital, needles, surgery mention
‘Vincent. Can you hear me?’
Wakey wakey.
Vincent could barely open his eyes, eyelids and head still heavy with sleep. The air surrounding him was surprisingly cool; as far as he was concerned it was the middle of summer, and he was in Arizona of all places. Wasn’t it supposed to be sweltering?
Someone gently took his wrist. The action itself did not hurt, nor did the feeling that followed– but it caused him instant discomfort that bordered on pain, the sensation cramping up his entire arm and it took him a second to realize it was the work of a needle that was stuck in the top of his hand.
He was in the hospital. He had just gotten out of surgery.
His eyes finally opened, bright light pouring in from the window on his left and momentarily blinding him as he groaned and tried to adjust. The nurse beside him gently placed his hand back on the mattress and hummed a song as she checked something on the screens, gloved fingers rapidly tapping on the keys of the digital keyboard as she typed in some information.
The soft hum of the devices around him was like a lullaby and Vincent slowly exhaled as he closed his eyes again; but a sudden weight on his chest– as well as the sudden realization of what the surgery had been for to begin with– violently ripped him back to reality and he gasped for air, as if all oxygen had suddenly been taken from his lungs.
‘Easy,’ the nurse said, placing a hand on his shoulder to prevent him from sitting up. ‘You’re alright, Vincent. Everything is fine. Try to breathe as normal.’
Easier said than done. He had a fucking cybernetic lung now– and sure, it worked, but the idea alone was more than enough to cause involuntary tears to well up in the corners of his eyes as he could feel his irregular heartbeat in every single inch of his body and his unstable breathing scraped painfully past the dry inside of his throat.
Ever since he had arrived in Tucson it had been one surgery after another. Preventive measures for the most of it– save from the removal of a bullet shard that had still been stuck in his head, the last bit Viktor hadn’t been able to dig out before– replacing damaged organs where possible and removing previously installed implants to minimize risks.
And none of it had helped so far.
Vincent was still very much dying, despite all their efforts. Initially thought to be the damage the Relic had caused in his body, irreparable at that; not so irreparable anymore but with all holes patched and the ship still sinking, he couldn’t help but wonder if Soulkiller was still working its magic.
Sure, the program had been on the Relic itself– but then again, all technology had gotten damaged by that bullet and with Johnny’s engram overwriting his psyche and then his psyche overwriting all of that to separate himself from the biochip, who knows what kind of malware had managed to sneak its way in in the meantime?
‘There’s a visitor waiting for you,’ the nurse said, shooting Vincent a gentle smile after he had managed to settle down again. ‘Would you like me to get him for you?’
‘Yes please, thank you,’ Vincent replied, not needing to ask for a name to know exactly who she meant, and he couldn’t stop his heartbeat from rising in excitement and relief when she left the room to call the man in.
It still managed to catch him off guard, to see Vitali Dobrynin out of his usual work attire. A sight he had gotten to grow more familiar with over the last few months– the whole situation with Johnny had driven Vitali out of the office often enough for Vincent to catch him in simple sweatpants and a hoodie on the regular– yet it still felt a little strange to him. “The man sleeps in a suit,” Jackie had once jokingly told him. Vincent wouldn’t have batted an eye.
‘How do you feel?’ Vitali softly asked as he sat down on the edge of the bed, sleeves of his flannel loosely rolled up and only partially covering his forearms. His hands were clasped together on his lap– for once not a single ring adorning his slender fingers– and he nervously ran his thumb over the side of his index finger.
‘Little strange,’ Vincent admitted as he reached out to take Vitali’s hand in his own. ‘The more I think about breathing, the harder it gets. I know it’s just between my ears, but– you know.’
Vitali quickly nodded, a light smile on his face as he shuffled a little closer and leaned in to press a kiss on Vincent’s temple. Which, of course, also caught him off guard; with the complete chaos of the aftermath of the attack on Mikoshi he had continuously forgotten about the fact he was dating the fixer now, and now that they could finally have some time for themselves it still did not feel entirely real to him.
‘Don’t you think all this is– I dunno, maybe a lil’ drastic?’ Vincent quietly asked, allowing the other man to cup his cheek and run his fingers down his face. ‘I mean– I don’t feel much different than before. Just increases risk of cyberpsychosis if anything. Even with all the removed implants.’
‘You might not feel it now but something is still happening in your body,’ Vitali simply replied, the pre-programmed answer he had been giving Vincent for weeks now. ‘Sooner or later you will start feeling it. And then you’ll be glad we had precautions done before it got too bad.’
‘Costs a shit-fuckton of money.’
‘Which I have.’
‘Well, I don’t.’
‘You don’t need to.’
Vincent clenched his jaw and exhaled sharply, the action causing his chest to tighten a little and he winced, brief panic overtaking him; but nothing else happened, the cybernetic lung doing its job perfectly fine, and he allowed himself to relax again.
It did not feel right to let Vitali pay for his surgeries. He had done so from the fucking beginning, no less– when Vincent had gotten a correction surgery on his chest and Vitali had told Viktor to put it on his tab, despite Vincent continuously telling him he’d get the eddies himself after his recovery.
But Vitali was a stubborn man– painfully so, insisting on helping Vincent wherever and whenever he could. Out of the goodness of his heart, of course; but definitely so out of guilt as well, having to live with the knowledge he had not been able to save T-Bug and Jackie and because of that so desperately trying to save Vincent while he still could.
If he even could.
Vincent lowered his gaze, softly biting the inside of his lip as Alt’s words echoed through his head again. He was dying; there was no denying it, even if he didn’t feel it just yet, and if they wouldn’t figure out what exactly was going on with him he wouldn’t make it to the end of the year.
If he had done the calculations right, he’d be on his deathbed on Vitali’s birthday of all days. He couldn’t do that to him.
But perhaps Vitali was right. Perhaps the surgeries did help and would at least give him a little longer than what Alt had predicted. Perhaps Alt had not even told him the truth; perhaps whatever was going on with him in that moment was only temporary and the effects would wear off the more time would pass.
But with more and more of his body turning into a machine, Vincent could not help but wonder if it wouldn’t just have been easier to transfer his psyche onto a fucking biochip too.
Would’a been a copy, V, you know that. At least you’re still you, now.
But for how much longer?
Even Johnny– or, well the voice in Vincent’s head pretending to be Johnny– couldn’t answer that.
Vitali suddenly turned, pulling his legs onto the bed and moving closer until he was sat directly next to Vincent, leaning back against the raised mattress. He wrapped his arm around his shoulders– and Vincent in return moved closer without hesitation, burying his face in his boyfriend’s chest, grateful the painkillers were numbing most of the pain in his upper body.
‘We will figure this out, my love,’ Vitali softly mumbled and planted a kiss on the top of Vincent’s head. ‘I promise. I’m not giving up on you.’
He had paused all his business and tossed aside all his responsibilities to help Vincent find a cure. Had left Night City behind– had left his business in the hands of Mikhail– and even now weeks later he was still there by his side, paying for his surgeries and keeping him company through it all. Of course Vitali was not giving up on him– and Vincent had never received such devotion before, to the point he had no idea what to do now that it had fallen right into his lap.
‘I love you,’ he simply whispered in return, on the verge of choking back tears when he felt Vitali momentarily tense up. ‘I love you so much.’
He didn’t know how much time he had left. He didn’t know if Alt was right, he didn’t know if any of what they were doing there was helping him at all–
But at least he wasn’t alone.
At least he had Vitali.

I'm about to upload a weekend vlog to youtube for this weekend but I didn't make an outro. I heard that Ross is selling some Sailor Moon collectables now and I may run out to go look.
I was holding off too on going to the grocery store but I may go for just a couple items (I say that all the time). I just don't want food to rot in my house while I'm out of town. I'm driving to the Phoenix area (sorta) for Thanksgiving because my in-laws are sweet and don't want me to be alone. Its not a difficult drive until I get to like downtown Tucson and Phoenix but I've never driven by my self, always with my husband so I'm a little nervous.
When we were on the east coast and I'd drive to my moms house I knew the gas stations that I could stop at. I'm not terribly familiar with the gas stations on this side of the country. Mainly because I plan on taking my car which holds less gas. I have this anxious fear that I'll one day get a flat or run out of gas on the side of the road in the desert. In my husbands truck we only have to stop for gas once but I don't want to take his truck because I just got the battery in it replaced (and what if they did it wrong!!?!?!?) and he has a dark window tint. We got pulled over the last time because his tint was too dark. That would be something to happen to me. They arrest me because we never fixed the tint. I'ma take my car but I'll have to stop more often and I just got the breaks replaced (WHAT IF THEY DID THAT WRONG TOOO!?!?!)
and then here in a about another 2 weeks going to drive back to the in-laws because we are going to Disneyland. My in-laws bought my ticket as a christmas gift. Again, very nice. I plan to be home alone for christmas but again, they're taking me to Disney. I havent been to Disneyland in almost 10 years. I'm excited and nervous at the same time. I love my in-laws but I have social anxiety and I think they think I'm weird and I have no spousal-back-up. I'm so used to be by my lonesome I can already feel the overstimulation. So pray for me. Theres gonna be a lot of people.
I also ordered me a couple blindboxes to open on christmas so I have something to be surprised about. My husband sent me 2 gifts to open too. If anybody knows of any lucky bags or artist advent calendars I don't already know about, let me know.

Spirit gets arrested and Isaac bails her out
Lo and Behold, the friendship between Spirit and Isaac.
Isaac was in the middle of his textbook when his phone started to ring. Chewing on the eraser of his pencil, he looked at the screen. It was an unknown number.
He picked up the phone and held it up to his ear. “Hello?”
He was answered by a machine’s voice. “This is the Tucson Police Department, calling for inmate Spirit Mitchel.”
Isaac’s eyes flew open like saucers. “Holy shit,” he breathed.
The machine continued. “Press one to accept this call.”
Isaac didn’t hesitate. He pressed ‘1’ and the call changed lines. Suddenly, he heard Spirit’s monotone “Hello?”
“I’m gonna bring a camera,” Isaac said, smiling like a madman.
He could hear how annoyed Spirit was when she said, “Do that, and you’re dead.”
“The hell did you do?” Isaac said, getting up and grabbing his keys.
“Can you pick me up?” Spirit deadpanned.
“Already out the door,” Isaac said, hurrying out of his apartment. “Now answer my question.”
He heard angry silence for a second. Then, “Got in a fight. A big one. In public.”
Holy cow, this is too good, Isaac thought. “I’m on my way.” It was taking everything he had not to laugh.
“Don’t sound so damn happy about it,” Spirit grumbled. Then she hung up.
— — —
Isaac was true to his word, and he did have a camera.
He was grinning like crazy, telling every cop he saw to smile for the camera. They all did. Cool guys, they were.
It was a 200 dollar fine that he paid. He’d hold those 200 dollars over Spirit’s head for a long time (#TrueFriends).
Finally, Spirit came out, and Isaac took a picture before he even realized what she looked like. His smile instantly fell, replaced by a look of shock.
Her face was bruised badly. There was a cut on her forehead and her lip was split. She looked pissed. Especially when she saw Isaac’s camera.
The officer bringing her out didn’t look at all older than them. He also looked slightly familiar. He had dried blood above his lip. He must’ve had a bloody nose. Isaac had a feeling that it was Spirit’s fault.
Another officer brought a yellow package—full of Spirit’s stuff—and handed it to her. She didn’t thank the officer and she glared at the other officer that brought her out before he let go of her arm.
Spirit walked up to Isaac, glared at him, and started walking away.
“Hey,” Isaac said. “No ‘thank you’?”
“Shut it, Isaac,” Spirit deadpanned, walking out of the police station. Isaac stopped just by the door and held up his camera. “Say cheese,” he said to all of the officers. They all did, and he laughed while taking the picture. Then yelped when a strong hand grabbed the back of his shirt and yanked him back. “Asshole,” Spirit grumbled.
They got into Isaac’s car and Spirit glared out the window, arms crossed. “Just take me to my dorm,” she said. “And. . . yeah, thanks.”
Isaac didn’t even turn the car on. He looked at Spirit, both amused and worried. He noticed she was limping a little while walking. “Hey, Spirit,” he said, “as funny as this all is, you look like shit. You okay?”
Spirit glared at him. Isaac couldn’t help but think that the blood on her face was as red as the red-dyed streaks in her hair.
“I’m fine,” she spat. “Just take me home.”
Isaac sighed and turned on the car, pulling out of the police station.
They were silent for a few minutes before Isaac had to ask, “Did you hit that one cop? The young one with the bloody nose?”
Spirit said nothing. But she did nod, stiffly.
Isaac chuckled. “Why?”
“He was the guy trying to break up the fight. He tried to pull me and the other guy apart, and I accidentally got his face with my elbow.”
“He looked familiar.”
“He goes to our college. Criminal Justice major.”
“And, you got into a fight why?”
Spirit glared deeper. “What’s with all the questions, detective?”
“Just asking,” Isaac said. After a few minutes of silence, Isaac sighed and asked, “Okay, can I just ask one more question?”
Spirit said nothing, and Isaac took it as a yes. Well, more like a whatever.
“Why’d you call me?” Isaac said. “Not Birdie or Jordan or literally any of the others.”
Spirit shrugged. “Birdie lost her phone last week, Jordan and Eliana are out of town, Amberlynn’s practicing in the theater all day for her next show, Keiko’s been exhausted with night classes, and Oliver is terrified of blood. You were my last option.”
Isaac sighed. “Man, I love being a last resort,” he muttered.
Finally, the car came to a stop at the parking lot of Spirit’s dorm building. “Thanks,” she said, quickly getting out of the car. But as soon as her foot touched the ground, she maid a pained sound in her throat.
It was quiet, but Isaac heard it. “Hey, Spirit, you okay?”
“Fine,” she spat through clenched teeth. She shut the car door and started to walk—limp—away. Isaac instantly turned off his car and got out, rushing to Spirit.
“I think you forgot what the definition of ‘fine’ is,” he said, reaching for her shoulder.
She slapped his hand away. “I’m fine,” she said definitely. “I tweaked my ankle in the fight, but I’m fine.”
Isaac didn’t believe her. Especially not when she almost stumbled and let out a pained yelp.
“Okay, enough,” Isaac said, grabbing Spirit’s wrist and pulling her back towards his car.
“Hey,” she yelled, trying to shove his hand off and failing. Isaac then noticed the torn skin on her knuckles which were usually just really bruised from her boxing training. Her hands were also trembling slightly.
Isaac opened the passenger side door and shoved her in. “Sit and stay,” he said sternly.
Spirit glared at him. “I really hate you sometimes, y’know that?”
“Love you, too,” he said, shutting the door.
He stood beside the car and quickly called Keiko’s phone. It rung a few times before he was answered with a sleepy “Hello?”
Shit, Isaac thought. Tired with night classes.
He wanted to just tell Keiko nevermind, but he had no damn clue what to do.
“Hey, Kei,” Isaac said. “So, I have a slight issue.”
Her heard movement through the phone. Then a yawn. Then a sleepy, “What’s up?”
“So, do you have medical supplies at your place?”
“Do I— Wait, what?” His voice instantly went from tired to both concerned and confused. “What’s wrong?”
“Well,” Isaac said. “It’s a long story, but it starts with when Spirit called me to pick her up from the police station.”
— — —
When Isaac pulled up to Keiko’s building, Spirit groaned.
“Are you kidding me?” she exclaimed. “I didn’t want to bother Kei; he’s exhausted.”
“Yeah, well, he knows now. And if I bring you back to your dorm now, he’ll just hunt you down anyway to take care of you.”
Spirit rolled her eyes. “Lo and behold, the mother of all mothering mother hens.”
Isaac parked the car and they both got out. Spirit started towards the door on her own, and Isaac hurried to her. “Wait,” he said. “Let me help you.”
“I don’t need help. I can walk on my own.” Spirit shot him a death stare and slapped his hand away. Isaac didn’t try to reach for her again. This girl was the most annoying, stubborn, infuriating person he’d ever known. . . And how they’d managed to stay friends for years was a mystery that neither of them could solve.
When they got up to Keiko’s floor, Keiko was waiting by the elevator, scrolling on his phone. His eyes widened when he took in Spirit’s face. “Holy—”
“Can we just get this over with,” Spirit snapped, limping towards Keiko’s apartment.
“Hey,” Keiko exclaimed, mother-hen-mode on. “Let me he—”
“I. Can. Walk,” Spirit said with a glare.
Isaac put a hand on Keiko’s shoulder. “Already tried, man,” he said. Then he dropped his voice to a whisper. “Prideful little b—”
“Isaac, I can hear you,” Spirit said at Keiko’s door. “And if you don’t want me to beat your white ass till you’re black and blue, I suggest you shut up.”
Isaac shut up. Keiko smiled. They all went into Keiko’s apartment and Keiko told Spirit to sit on the couch.
Spirit sat down, and Isaac stood against the wall with his arms in his pockets.
Keiko grabbed a first-aid kit—which was more like a first-aid duffel bag— and set it on the coffee table, along with a small pillow. “Which ankle hurts?” he asked.
Spirit was still scowling, but she muttered, “Right.”
Keiko gently lifted her right leg and set her foot on the cushion. He pulled off her combat boot and sock and started prodding her ankle. “Does this hurt?”
Spirit’s face was tight, jaw clenched. She nodded. “A bit.”
Keiko nodded, continuing to prod. “Well, it’s not broken. Just sprained.”
“That’s what I told Isaac,” Spirit muttered, shooting the blonde a glare.
Keiko reached into the first-aid kit and pulled out an ankle brace. “I got this when I was sixteen and I worked as a lifeguard. Never really thought I’d use this stuff again.” He put the brace onto Spirits ankle. Then, he reached back into the kit and pulled out bandages in disinfectants before getting to work on cleaning Spirit’s torn knuckles and the cut on her forehead.
“I’ll get you some ice,” Keiko said when he was done.
Spirit pressed her lips into a thin line before sighing and saying, “Thanks.”
Keiko smiled. “Of course,” he said. “Anything else hurt?”
Spirit shook her head.
“Good,” Keiko said. Then his smile fell instantly, replaced by lividness. “Now tell me how the hell you got yourself arrested!”
Isaac grinned. “Oooh, mother’s angry,” he singsonged.
Spirit glared at him, and so did Keiko. “Shut up,” they said in sync.

I mentioned I'm back on my Transformers bullshit, right? So I finally put up that other dollar store shelf I got and decided to populate it with some random transformers. And Pavel. And MailBirdramon. And Ryo-ohki. Okay, I guess the theme got a little lost along the way.
And, um, yeah, I'm too short to reach the shelf without a step ladder, and I had to hold my phone up awkwardly to take photos. Hopefully Oil Slick doesn't fall again and wipe the whole group out. Lol.
Aaaaaaand if you thought I could just post a picture without talking for a million years, oops lol. I just wanna reminisce a little!!
Tumblr media
The Pavel is a custom (I think a Green Goblin I found at goodwill?) that I made in college and took everywhere with me. His legs have almost completely given out (a couple of the others' have too, lookin' at you, Starscream...), so he's sitting, but I remember taking him on walks around Tucson all the time. I have smaller versions of some of the other main characters of Uprising, and I really have to find the time to finish customizing them because I love those designs. ANyway.
Ryo-Ohki was from Blockbuster! I distinctly remember taking a Tenchi Muyo video out from our local Blockbuster in Chicago, uh, every time we went? And I remember getting a couple sets of little figures, but Ryo-Ohki was always my favorite, and I don't know where the others are. (Side note, we also got the best Clow book and cards I've ever seen from Blockbuster. I want one that's complete but the ones I see nowadays just... aren't as good or are really expensive...)
Tumblr media
You can barely see Cyberverse Arcee next to her, but just wook at how widdle she is ooooh. I love little motorcycles, and Arcee's alt mode is just... tactile perfection. Actually, all the Cyberverse dolls are just the perfect size, the style of plastic used is so nice to the touch, and they're so little, aaaa
Um. So. I remember finding the Ultra Magnus at a goodwill we'd never been to before and being so excited. I think I also found a hilarious Yami Yugi mask on the same trip, and I probably should have just bought that as well. I should also go back to packing a Transformer in my purse when I go out; it's good for morale.
Tumblr media
I can't say Oil Slick without laughing.
The Thundercracker is another one of my absolute, all-time faves. I think I got him at goodwill, and he's missing his left wing. Perceptor's covering it, but he's also holding a sign that says "Hi, Humans!" that appears to be made from a note my roommate left me? He used to live in my window in college, because my dorm was backed by an alley, and it was really fun seeing him in the window whenever I was on my way back to my room. I also found another TC at some point, but he's also missing his left wing and his legs, so this one doesn't have a replacement wing, poor guy.
I don't have as much to say about the other peeps on the shelf, but I also like them. ::nods::
Looking through my toys, it's wild how many I got at goodwill, seeing as I almost never find Transformers there now. Especially the Animated ones, which are aesthetically some of my faves. I also just really haven't been keeping up with the figures in general (as evidenced by the fact that I just learned that they made a Xaaron, my favorite boy ever and he's convention exclusive so I can't even get him even though I think there's third party sculpts but I haven't checked in years and and and), so I don't even know what's out there. I did hear there's a movie out, though.
Maybe I should get caught up with the comics/shows/movies instead of just rereading 15-year-old fanfiction?
Anyway, I just wanted to type a lot because my sister's really bored of my infodumping. kthanxbai~~~!

Repairs and Ants
The man from the rental agency showed up on Monday around noon to finally replace the blinds in the living room and kitchen that had gone wonky. It took him all of 15 minutes and did not even require any tools. They just clipped into place.
We still have problems with ants. They launched a massive assault via the kitchen window Sunday night, just about bedtime, so we cleaned off the sill to get rid of them and make room for the blinds replacement.
While Nancy waited for the rental agency fellow, I ran out to get some more ant traps and also some Tucson Tamales and Mexican cheese blend from Fred Meyers. The store was out of ant traps, as was the Albertson’s up on Mohawk. We might not be the only folks dealing with ants right now.
After a quick lunch at home that featured the chipotle mayonnaise we recently purchased, we ran to Costco to fill the tank. The gas was down to $3.37. Then I dropped Nancy off at Kathleen’s so the two could go out to Marcola for a puppy play date between Kalen’s two dogs and another friend’s animal.
Stopping at a bank in downtown Springfield I dropped off the defaced $5 bill. The teller said he had seen another one of those earlier in the day. I said I did not even want to give the defaced money to a panhandler and he laughed out loud.
Next I went looking again for more ant traps and still had no luck, so I ordered some from Amazon, which won’t arrive until Saturday. I hope we can keep the little critters at bay until then. If not, we’ll try again at a local store.

Oasis's Guide to Efficient Air Conditioning Service and Maintenance in Tucson
Welcome to Oasis Air Conditioning & Heating's guide to efficient air conditioning service and maintenance in Tucson. In this essay, we will provide valuable insights and tips on how to keep your air conditioning system running smoothly and efficiently, ensuring optimal comfort and energy savings. As a trusted provider of AC repair and air conditioning services in Tucson and the surrounding areas, Oasis Air Conditioning & Heating is committed to helping you maintain a cool and comfortable indoor environment.
1. Importance of Regular AC Maintenance
Regular air conditioning maintenance is crucial for the efficient and reliable operation of your system. By scheduling regular maintenance, you can prevent potential issues before they become major problems, ensuring that your AC system performs at its best. Regular maintenance also helps improve energy efficiency, saving you money on utility bills. Additionally, proper maintenance extends the lifespan of your air conditioning system, reducing the need for costly repairs or premature replacement.
2. Choosing the Right Air Conditioning Service Provider in Tucson
When it comes to choosing an air conditioning service provider in Tucson, it's essential to consider a few factors. Look for a company with a proven track record of expertise and experience in the industry. Oasis Air Conditioning & Heating has been serving Tucson and the surrounding areas for many years, providing top-notch AC repair and air conditioning services. Our team of skilled technicians is trained to handle all types of AC systems, ensuring that you receive the highest quality service.
3. Essential Air Conditioning Maintenance Tasks
To keep your air conditioning system running efficiently, there are several essential maintenance tasks that you should perform regularly. These tasks include:
Cleaning and Replacing Air Filters
Dirty air filters can restrict airflow and reduce the efficiency of your AC system. It's important to clean or replace your air filters every one to three months, depending on usage. This simple task can greatly improve indoor air quality and help your system operate more efficiently.
Checking and Cleaning Condenser Coils
Over time, the condenser coils in your AC system can accumulate dirt and debris, hindering heat transfer and reducing cooling performance. Regularly checking and cleaning the condenser coils can improve the efficiency of your system and prevent potential breakdowns.
Inspecting and Lubricating Fan Motors and Moving Parts
Fan motors and other moving parts in your air conditioning system require regular inspection and lubrication to ensure smooth operation. This helps reduce friction and wear, extending the lifespan of these components and preventing costly repairs.
Clearing Debris from the Outdoor Unit
The outdoor unit of your AC system can become clogged with leaves, grass, and other debris, obstructing airflow and reducing efficiency. Regularly clearing debris from the outdoor unit helps maintain proper airflow and prevents overheating.
4. Energy-Saving Tips for Efficient Air Conditioning
In addition to regular maintenance, there are several energy-saving tips you can follow to ensure efficient air conditioning:
Setting the Thermostat at an Optimal Temperature
Setting your thermostat at an optimal temperature can help reduce energy consumption. During the summer months, aim for a temperature of around 78 degrees Fahrenheit when you're at home and slightly higher when you're away.
Utilizing Programmable Thermostats
Programmable thermostats allow you to set different temperature schedules based on your occupancy. This helps optimize energy usage by reducing cooling when you're not at home.
Maximizing Natural Ventilation and Shading
Take advantage of natural ventilation and shading to reduce reliance on your AC system. Open windows and use fans to circulate air, and use curtains or blinds to block out direct sunlight.
Proper Insulation and Sealing
Proper insulation and sealing of your home can significantly improve energy efficiency. Insulate your attic and walls to prevent heat transfer, and seal any air leaks around windows, doors, and ductwork.
5. Troubleshooting Common AC Issues
Even with regular maintenance, air conditioning systems can sometimes experience issues. Here are some common AC problems and troubleshooting tips:
Insufficient Cooling
If your AC system is not cooling your home adequately, check the air filters and clean or replace them if necessary. Also, ensure that the thermostat is set correctly and that the outdoor unit is free from debris.
Strange Noises
Unusual noises coming from your AC system may indicate a problem. Check for loose or damaged parts and tighten or replace them as needed. If the noise persists, it's best to contact a professional AC repair service like Oasis Air Conditioning & Heating.
Frequent Cycling
If your AC system is turning on and off frequently, it could be a sign of an underlying issue. Check the air filters and clean or replace them if necessary. If the problem persists, it's best to consult a professional technician.

Common Problems Faced by Hyundai Tucson Owners
Tumblr media
Introduction:
Owning a Hyundai Tucson can be an exhilarating experience, offering a blend of style, performance, and reliability. However, like any vehicle, it's not immune to encountering common issues that may arise over time. In this comprehensive guide, we'll delve into some of the most prevalent problems faced by Hyundai Tucson owners and provide practical solutions to help you navigate through them effectively.
1. Understanding the Common Issues:
Tumblr media
The Hyundai Tucson, while renowned for its quality, can experience certain recurring problems that owners should be aware of. These include issues with the transmission, engine, suspension, electronics, and more. By understanding these common problems, you can stay proactive in maintaining your vehicle and address any issues promptly before they escalate.
2. Transmission Troubles:
Tumblr media
One of the most frequently reported issues with the Hyundai Tucson involves transmission problems. Owners have noted issues such as rough shifting, delayed engagement, and transmission fluid leaks. Regular maintenance, including fluid checks and transmission flushes, can help mitigate these issues. Additionally, keeping an eye out for any unusual sounds or vibrations can signal potential transmission problems that require immediate attention.
3. Engine Concerns:
Tumblr media
Another area of concern for Hyundai Tucson owners is related to engine performance. Some common issues include engine stalling, rough idling, and reduced fuel efficiency. Regular oil changes, air filter replacements, and thorough engine inspections can help prevent these problems. It's also essential to address any warning lights on the dashboard promptly to avoid further engine damage.
4. Suspension and Steering Issues:
Tumblr media
Owners may encounter problems with the suspension and steering components of their Hyundai Tucson, leading to issues such as excessive bouncing, uneven tire wear, and steering wheel vibrations. Regular suspension inspections, wheel alignments, and tire rotations can help maintain optimal performance and minimize wear and tear on these critical components.
5. Electrical Gremlins:
Tumblr media
Electrical issues are not uncommon in modern vehicles, and the Hyundai Tucson is no exception. Owners have reported problems with the electrical system, including issues with the power windows, door locks, and infotainment system. It's essential to ensure that all electrical connections are secure and that the battery is in good condition. Additionally, updating the vehicle's software and addressing any faulty components can help resolve these electrical gremlins effectively.
6. HVAC System Problems:
Tumblr media
Another area where Hyundai Tucson owners may encounter issues is with the heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) system. Problems such as inadequate heating or cooling, unusual odors, and noisy operation can detract from the comfort of the vehicle. Regular maintenance of the HVAC system, including replacing filters and checking for any leaks or blockages, can help ensure optimal performance and passenger comfort.
7. Brake and ABS System Concerns:
Tumblr media
Maintaining the braking system is crucial for the safety of any vehicle, and Hyundai Tucson owners may experience issues related to the brakes and anti-lock braking system (ABS). Symptoms such as squealing brakes reduced braking performance, and ABS warning lights should not be ignored. Regular brake inspections, pad and rotor replacements, and fluid checks can help keep the braking system in top condition and ensure safe driving.
8. Addressing Recalls and Technical Service Bulletins(TSBs):
Hyundai regularly issues recalls and technical service bulletins (TSBs) to address potential safety and performance issues in their vehicles, including the Tucson. Owners need to stay informed about any recalls or TSBs that may affect their vehicles and take prompt action to have any necessary repairs or updates performed by an authorized car dealer.

Day 248: Sunday September 5, 2021 - “Take Me Home, Two Lane Roads”
9am, I woke up wondering where I was (it was Pratt, KS).  Last I remembered, I was grumpily unpacking the car, going through the motions until I could give up and pass out.   And now, with the question looming on if we could make it all the way to Tucson in one go, Audrie had let me sleep.  I half supposed she figured I would need it, with the other half supposing she had made up her mind that it was a fool’s gambit...either way, the stakes were now raised.  As efficiently as possible (90 minutes) we got the kid and the car and the dogs packed up and ready to hit the road.  The future was definitely unwritten but I knew if we got as far as Southern New Mexico, we’d be going for it.  I chalked it up to having a speeding ticket to pay that we’d earn it back by slicing a nights hotel off the trip.  It could be done - we were professionals after all.  But this would be a tall task - 950 miles from Pratt to the Pueblo, 14.5 hours that couldn’t be measured with accounting for milk stops.  And like out of a Chevy Chase movie, 5 minutes into the run, we were pulling to a stop.  “We’re going to need food if we’re going to do it” I declared... good food.  “Rick’s” struck me as a magic horseshoe.
Inside, I found the perfect slide of Sunday morning Americana.   An awkward teenage girl waited on me and poured three cups of coffee in a real loaner coffee mug while shouting back and forth with the short order cook through the kitchen window.  I got two big omelettes to go, with a homemade cinnamon roll, and an extra side of sausage for Audrie to replace her toast.  I looked around at the people and the history here and decided I loved it.   This is Kansas, but it might as well have been somewhere in Gratiot County or Glasgow, MT or any you-name-it small town between Mississippi and Maine and I thought about how this goofy rambler with baby already taking his first milk break out in the parking lot, was playing a character in the story of this place.  The passer through.  I tipped well, in hopes of good karma and took my take-aways outside for AC and I to enjoy in the morning humidity, standing up of course, in the parking lot; itd be a really long day of sitting, for all of us.  The food was perfect; our tanks were full.  Roll on.
The road stretched ahead down a two lane highway, filled with little towns and speed traps, but seemingly in the most perfect straight line pointed southwest.  It carried us past grain elevators and flat fields and farm towns of Southwestern Kansas, when we saw a billboard for Dorothy Gale’s house - “the one from Wizard of OZ?  oh google that!”   AC provided the narrative and we had a plan for our next Milk Stop - Liberal, KS - two hours down the road.  What we found there was about the closest thing to a tourist trap as we’d find on this ramble (yes even more than Mark Twain’s Brewery).  Just a block off the highway was a replica house, with donated yellow bricks, and marble wall displaying all the names of the young girls who had played the Dorothy tour guides here over the years.  We didn’t pay for the actual tour, but we did set up on a bench in the front yard for some breastfeeding....Im sure for the other toursits rolling through they had to think, “now thats something we don’t see everyday” as our little cowardly lion went off to see the Wizard, the magical milk wizard called Mom.  4 miles later, we weren’t in Kansas anymore.
Audrie drove us across the Oklahoma panhandle, which goes by very fast and before you knew it, we were cutting across the northwest corner of the top of Texas.  This was the closest thing to Bee-line next to if we were drawing it ourselves.  We made our next big milk stop in the town of Dalhart where after another hour’s stopped we were seriously starting to question if we could go all the way or not.  But in our hip-pocket we had an ace, we’d be gaining two hours back as we crossed the timezones into New Mexico and then Arizona.  Runnig backwards through time!  As long as we could hold up, maybe we could pull this off.  And so I wandered into the gas station and got a couple five hour energy drinks.  My mind was made up.  Id sleep in my own bed tonight.
Drove us across the New Mexico line as the terrain started to change and look more Southwestern.  Fields had given way to desert brush, and rolling hills, and a the Texas line a big stunning storm cell loomed in the blue sky off to our south. We’d be outrunning that, no problem.  Audrie and the dogs, and the baby all got their naps in before we pulled onto an Interstate for the very first time in the long-drive-day.  A very short haul that would pull us from Tucumcari to Santa Rosa, where we’d take a long milk break and dog walk and fill up on gas.   We’d hang here for quite awhile as William really started to fuss and be done with the car, but as we set off, back on a two lane road, headed South now toward Alamogordo, the sun started to set and I hoped the dark of night would provide us the long quiet run that we were needing.  “go to sleeeeep, little onnnneeee” We would need to pull off and try to potty and change diaper and get any comfort that we could from the deep cry that now filled Silver’s cabin but it was so ironic because as much as it was unbearable anymore for William, the view out the windshield was stunning for us!  A cloudy sunset, a wide open road, perfectly spaced windmills on the horizon -not another car in front or behind for hours. I almost could imagine William’s cry was for wanting t see too....though I knew, of course, it was really a “what the hell is wrong with you two?”
Before long, darkness fell, and the pretty colors were gone, replaced with those high New Mexico stars.  Beautiful out here at night.  I cracked my window and got some sleep as AC took her shift, that dragged us all the way to Las Cruces, and one last milk stop and gas fill.  It was time now to earn my badge.  I started the day at 9am central time wondering if we could go all the way, even with the slow start and had spent all those miles coming across Kansas, Oklahoma, and Texas thinking about all those long great runs I had made over the years, stretching out those miles to every corner of the continent.  Those long bright nights in Alaska and the Yukon; practically running out of gas on the Alligator Alley of Florida; limping home from the Boundary Waters on Subi’s last ride.  I knew that as we left the lights of Las Cruces behind, this would be one of those legacy drives worthy of finishing strong. Two days and one night drive cross country with two dogs and a 12 week old baby ending on a 950 mile marathon across the southwest.  Only rodeo clowns like me, would try such a thing.  I put on the best ramble music I had, and got started on the last 4 hours to home. 15 miles from home, Audrie wakes up and tells me to turn down the music....but at that point, we’d done  it.  Those two lane roads, had brought us home.  We definitely weren’t in kansas anymore.   We unpacked as simply as we could and then piled into bed - both dogs assuming their positions, pressing me all the way to the edge of my King sized bed.  But I was so tired and accomplished I failed to even care.  We were home.  Mission accomplished.
Song: Vampire Weekend - Harmony Hall
Quote: “Here the earth, as if to prove its immensity, empties itself. Gertrude Stein said: 'In the United States there is more space where nobody is than where anybody is. That is what makes America what it is.' The uncluttered stretches of the American West and the deserted miles of roads force a lone traveler to pay attention to them by leaving him isolated in them. This squander of land substitutes a sense of self with a sense of place by giving him days of himself until, tiring of his own small compass, he looks for relief to the bigness outside -- a grandness that demands attention not just for its scope, but for its age, its diversity, its continual change. The isolating immensity reveals what lies covered in places noisier, busier, more filled up. For me, what I saw revealed was this (only this): a man nearly desperate because his significance had come to lie within his own narrow ambit.” ― William Least Heat-Moon, Blue Highways
