it’s silent until he hears your poorly stifled snickering. yuuji’s eyes seem to have a mind of their own because they slide right over to meet yours, and before he can stop himself, he’s bursting into a fit of giggles right along with you.

the whole water debate disappears into the back of his mind, and yuuji’s giggles trail off as he stares at you.

the corners of your eyes are crinkled, your full lips are curved upward into a grin that sends an arrow right into his heart, and your smile lines squish your cheeks. the fading sunlight catches on your curls, outlining you in an orange glow.

Let's discuss families 🙏🏻

On Matty's side, his parents would love girlie cus she's really nice, my girl is educated, obvs has good grades in school and most important brings the best of his emo teen and she loves him. I'd like to think that Matty has a decent to good relationship with his parents, I feel like he'd ask for advice if he feels like something it's not going well in his relationship with girlie

On girlie's side, that household feels like living hell, no wonder why girlie has mommy issues😭 I feel like she's close to his father, maybe she has enough trust to talk to her dad about certain things, like relationships at her age and she has a little interest outside of church an blabla, maybe it's a secret between both. I feel like he's more chill than his wife. On the other side, her mom freaks out easily and has zero chill, she'd be like 'i just want the best to my girl, that's why I'm very strict w/her's but this restrictions only work to turn your kid into 'the black sheep' of the family. She'd have a heart attack if my girl is dating someone outside of church (Matty) and would take her to the confessionary every week😭

i think matty has a decent relationship with his family that is a bit more strained rn as he’s deep in his teen angst. it’s pretty normal for teenagers to distance themselves from their family and go through the whole no one understands me😫😫 phase and, on top of that, i think he’d resent being moved to the us, meaning he’s not on the best terms with them at the very moment. although, there is genuine love between them and he knows they’re there for him if he needs it.

i don’t think he would talk to them much about his personal life. when reader and him officially start dating, she would make sure to present herself officially to his parents (and not just be the girl that’s sneaking out of his room in the early morning😭) and that’s the only reason they know he’s seeing someone. they would 100% love her bc she’s, as you said, sort of this ‘perfect’ good girl they Never expected matty to go for, but also because she mellows out his most intense personality traits, mainly his ‘fuck everyone nothing matters’ teen angst. and she genuinely seems to make him happy. his parents would Love telling all sorts of embarrassing stories about him to her.

on her side, it’s obviously completely different. i’ve made it pretty clear that she has mommy issues as her mother is a very domineering, controlling woman. she’s a nagger who’s obsessed with apparences and constantly nitpicks at reader’s every doing. i think her dad is just as strict but in much more quiet, sober way. he’s very much an enabler. i tried to mimic the stereotypical family dynamics were the dad is barely involved and only comes in to have the last word, generally agreeing with whatever the wife said. ofc, it’s hard to show family dynamics when most of the fic is straight porn so i’m very aware it doesn’t much show! the one moment i managed to sneak in is when the mother says she doesn’t where reader’s dirtiness came from and he basically just answers ‘not me!’ (it’s interesting to me to learn how you see her father bc while writing pfms3 i was like…. damn did i make him too nice.. i really didn’t want to blame all the family issues on her mother)

anyway they would obviously pop a blood vessel and faint when they find out she’s dating matty. like he’s Everything they’re against and don’t want for her. it would create many many fights inside the house (obviously always keeping this smiling, mindlessly happy front outside). just screaming at her to break up, that he’s no good, that they’re Not allowing her to date, that she’s grounded, that they’re immensely disappointed in her, that it’s not the little girl they raised, etc etc. they would rly try to break them up and get even More appalled when, bc of their even stricter rules, reader starts sneaking around and doing more forbidden things (ie. drinking, smoking, partying, etc.) i see reader as absolutely Not backing down, even going as far as refusing to go to church if they don’t stop threatening her. it’s an extremely messy, imploding family affair. you know the whoooole town is whispering about it behind their back

i think the conflict would get resolved by her straight up just moving out for college. they can’t control her from a distance and the longer matty sticks around, the more they’re forced to accept he will just Be There and he’s a permanent fixture. they slowly chill even though they Never fully warm up to him and always have some clear disdain, no matter how long they’ve been together or how successful he is. they know how to hold a grudge!

the obsession people on twt have with affirming is so off-putting. it's their version of the void lol. i wouldn't mind if they acknowledged it's just a method that works for them. the problem is they will call people who don't succeed or feel bad about affirming lazy (even if it's literally affecting their mental health or not fit for them bc of neurodivergence), dog pile on anyone who likes things such as detachment and even claim affirming is not a method and all your thoughts are an affirmation to make people feel even more guilty about not liking to affirm LOL (oh yeah me thinking "do i want to take a piss rn or just go to sleep?" is definitely an affirmation 👌, also let's not even begin to talk about how this can harm someone who struggles with intrusive or negative thoughts). there are some really cool users on there you call tell are kind respectful unbothered people, great at manifesting, just using their account to share their journey and busy living their dream life. but some (especially those big accounts on there) are 24/7 on twt sharing "success stories" to then go and mock people who are struggling in their journey and feeling like affirming is not for them. i wouldn't be surprised whatsoever if some of them get exposed as frauds or assholes in the near future. anyway, just a vent and i understand if you don't post this, but if you do and anyone from twt is reading this to post on there to be like "oMg ThEy ArE sO jEaLoUs 💅", bitch fuck you guys and your cult vibes. good luck trying not to pop a blood vessel by venerating just one of many methods even when you know it's not making you feel good ✌

Yeah I really dislike it as well. It makes me feel bad for people who are beginners and end up being deeply misguided because of it. I believe they're starting to understand states though which is a good start.

What Should’ve been: A resume for my episodes 19 and 20

I may write and put it on AO3 but I needed to get the plot points out of my head first. 

Episode 19

- Same first scene where Dean tells Sam and Jack what happened to Cas.

- Jack praying to Cas as it was.

- Sam and Dean convo and reaction to Jack's new power.

- They talk to Jack about it and actually Confort him bc he. Is. A. Kid.

- Same conversation with Chuck.

- Time passes. Sam and Dean are show with their terrible coping skills.

- Jack senses a presence.

- They meet Michael at the Church; He agrees to help.

- Michael tries to open the book; It doesn't work.

- Brother moment where Sam talks about Eileen and Dean talks about what Cas did for him and how guilty he feels.They confort each other.

[No Lucifer. The show passed the need for Lucifer]

- Convo between Michael and Jack; Michael senses Jack's powers and talks about how he's nothing like his sperm donor, Lucifer; Jack says Michael is very different from the AU one; Michael says it's because of Adam that he learned to love and understand humanity.

- They both try to open the book and it works; Same scene of Sam talking about a spell. [because, y’a know, God is watching]

- Confront with Chuck; The spell doesn't work; Jack is throw back; Michael steps in and reaffirms his position to protect humanity; Chuck defeats him but doesn't kill.

- Same scene of Sam and Dean getting beat up but still standing. [That was good]

- Jack pulls an Avatar with Chuck and turns him human.

- The boys saying they're not killers and that Chuck will live and die like any other person.

[No flashback to explain resolution. This is not CSI]

- Jack brings everyone back; Shots of the characters that vanished in 18.

 [Not hard to do even in Covid world just use the same shot from 18 from a different angle I know they have]

- Adam is show to have returned to his body.

- Sam questions Jack about Amara; He says she's with him and when everything is fixed in heaven they'll split again but balance will be mantained.

[Because they are individuals and deserve to be independent of each other]

- Dean questions if Jack will go back home with them; Jack says it will take a little while before he can return home; He states Michael will help him reestructure Heaven.

- Eileen calls Sam; He backs away to answer.

- Dean asks Jack to bring Cas back; Jack says he can't interfere with the Empty's domain directly but Dean can. Jack says for Dean to go home and wait in the room Cas was taken.

- Sam returns to the scene; They say goodbaye and thanks to Michael and Adam; They hug Jack and they both disappear.

- Cut to the bunker. Dean kept miracle and it’s been days since Jack left. Sam and Eileen are shown together while Dean keeps waiting in the dungeon.

- Sam reassures him they’ll get Cas back; They share a beer by the table in the Library. [End of Episode]

EPISODE 20

- Opening with Dean and Miracle; Sam doing laundry, etc.

- Dean piling up book after book to find something to help Cas; Sam is concerned and tries to talk Dean in working on a case Donna called them for.

- Dean says he doesn’t feel free bc Cas is dead bc of him; Says he even went to hell for Rowena’s help but she couldn’t do anything either. Sam says Jack will come through with his promise and the least they can do is help someone rn. Dean finally agrees.

- People are disappering without a trace.

- They follow one that seems sketchy to a barn where are people dressed in black, their faces covered in black goo. It’s the Empty controlling vessels. 

-  Sam and Dean are discovered. They try to fight but it’s in vain. The Empty taunts Dean about Cas, saying he’s suffering bc of him.

- A blinding light cuts the darkness. It’s Jack, acompanied by two angels; The black goo vanishes and Jack transports them back to the bunker, in the dungeon.

- They question him and Jack explains that they needed to summon the Shadow away from it’s domain so it would get weaker; He says Michael and Amara are holding the Shadow as long as they can.

- Jack says it will be dangerous but he can get them in; They agree in silent looks.

- The Empty is loud; Without the Shadow, angels and demons are screaming in agony, some awake, some not. 

- Dean calls for Cas as Jack focuses to find him; They find Castiel but he’s still asleep, relieving his regrets.

- Dean asks if Jack can wake him; Jack explains that, given his new role, he’s interfering too much alredy; It has to be Dean.

- Angels and demons start to rise up; Jack puts a barrier to stop them but he gets weaker by the minute; He creates a gun and handles to Sam.

- The bullets are made of angel blades. It’ll keep them away for a time like salt keeps away ghosts.

- Jack touches Dean and Cas’ foreheads and links Dean to Castiel’s subconcious.

- Dean can see his worst memories: the times he let them down, his betrayal, the lobotomies, etc.

- He finds Cas chained, much like Dean in Hell; Cas doen’t believe it’s him. Dean says he’s real. They are real.

- Shot of Sam shooting some people; The Shadow comes back and threatens them.

- Dean’s confession ensues. [everything i could write it now wouldn’t do it justice]

- Shot of their hands clasped; Dean pulls him out of the chains.

- They awake and Jack zaps them away before the Shadow can strike; Back to the bunker, Dean and Cas are still holding hands.

- Jack says the Empty will never stop coming after Cas and gives him the choice to become human.

- Cas says nothing and Dean backs away. Sam hugs Cas.

- Convo between Cas and Jack; Cas says he doesn’t want Jack to be alone. Jack says he never will be and that Cas is needed more on earth than heaven - cuts to Dean- Cas nods and hugs Jack.

- One last scene between Jack and his dads; He says Amara and Michael are running Heaven pretty well and that all souls are now together in a new eternety, free of ilusion. Jack says he will pop in from time to time to see them.

- Jack leaves; Dean asks Cas why he didn’t go too. Cas said that Jack told him he was needed here. Was Jack wrong? Dean just hugs him.

- Fast foward to Sam and Eileen saying goodbye to Dean and Cas.

- Jack monologuing about his family; shots of Sam and Eileen leading the new Men of Letters; Their kids running around in the bunker, carving their names on the table too. [a boy and a girl bc Sam deserves to have a cute little girl]

- Dean and Cas (now human) running a bar where hunters pass by, living their best lives.

- Jack saying family doesn’t end in blood but it doesn’t start there either; Shots of their extended family: Jody, Donna, the wayward girls, Charlie, Rowena, etc. Even past characters for dramatic intent.

- Ending shot of the sunset as the impala drives away.

irl, i haven't been gaslight all that much, at least i don't think so. it used to happen back when i was younger, in like high school and middle school. mostly bc i was a pushover and hated confrontation so i would just go with what someone else said. i also hated myself so that added to it.

but i truly, at my core, DESPISE not being believed. even if it's something stupid, if someone doesn't believe me even tho i know it happened, i get so enraged. it makes me almost pop a blood vessel lol
