I cannot stress enough how important it is that whatever you think of anything else, Trump Cannot Be President Again.

The "rip apart democracy and install an autocrat" group was not Ready for him in 2016. They didn't think he'd win.

They're ready now. They're teeing up for a second Trump president. Whatever your favorite current Thing, it would be worse under Trump, and it is not an exaggeration to say that they're going to try to make sure that they stay in power forever, by any means necessary.

SCOTUS basically just said, "If Trump sends the Army in to murder protestors, that's okay. If Trump assassinates a political rival with the armed forces of which he is the Commander In Chief, that's an official act, and there's no recourse."

Anything he can even vaguely justify as "an official act" - including installing people in the Justice Department to support his coup, including pressuring his VP to support his coup - is no longer a crime.

Lets act like its 'just politics' and not a difference in morals, empathy, and character. Let's pretend this isn't a matter of human rights and safety but a matter of opinion.

Theoretically speaking, lets say we 'embraced each other'

Are you going to pay for my medications if Trump cuts Medicaid?

Are you going to pay for my Dr's appointments? My specialist appointments?

If they cut the program for the home healthcare job I have are you going to pay my bills? My rent?

If this country becomes unsafe for me and my wife because we can't be married, live together, safely hold hands in public without fear of being attacked, spied on, or killed are you going to pay for us to flee the country? Are you going to pay for my pets to be safely quarantined until they can be brought over?

Or, forget the money, will you accept and admit when he is wrong?

When he says things that are blatant lies and riddled with bias? When he and those he puts in power hurt people, hurt our county, send us to war with our allies and unite us with our enemies. Will you speak out? Will you openly criticize him? Economics lesson on why what Trump is doing is really stupid. The main reason we have trade deficits is because we are richer than a lot of other countries. We buy more than other countries buy from us because we can afford. These are not caused by other countries ripping us off, they literally cannot afford to buy as much from us as we buy from them. The only way to decrease the trade deficit is to prevent Americans from buying more and the only way to do that is to raise all the prices. Therefore the trade deficit decreases because now we cant afford to buy from other countries as much, this however by no means increases other countries buying from . However you may notice this doesn’t actually help anyone it just artificially lowers one number and pretends that means things are going better. Also trade deficits are not an issue because of something called balance of payments were basically no matter what our trade deficit is it balances out with what we call a capital surplus. This is that in an economic system the flow in and out of the country is always at equilibrium just in different forms think of it like a closed system. For every part of the trade deficit we get money from other countries being reinvested in America creating a capital surplus. This capital surplus is always exactly equal to and opposite of a trade deficit. Here’s a photo of what this looks like below.

So I know tumblr is not the most economically informed website actually it’s kinda of an economic misinformation website. But thought I would explain this all out to show that what Trump is doing is basically punching America over and over again in the face. There is nothing economically helpful in what he’s doing and all he’s doing is making it harder for Americans to afford stuff while decreasing our capital surplus. Anyway I’ve known all of this for years and have been driven insane my politicians fear mongering over a fake problem for decades.

The group chat where senior Trump officials including the Vice President used a text thread to discuss war plans. A group chat that National Security Advisor Mike Waltz inadvertently added the editor of the Atlantic Magazine to. Can you imagine if a Democratic administration shared war plans with a magazine editor? Eighteen senior Trump officials were completely unaware they were sharing a thread with a magazine editor. The clowns were even using emojis. Trump himself wasn’t even included in the thread, presumably because he doesn’t give a crap and is too dumb to contribute.
