Tronsmart Apollo Air & Air Plus With Latest In-Ear Technology

Tronsmart has impressive quality and features in its products. It will not allow you to pay tons of money to get good performance and premium build quality. Tronsmart has launched a new pair of ANC earbuds named Apollo Air and Air Plus.

Charging Case

Apollo Air & Air Plus both are designed identically, but there is a lot of internal difference. The case has a matte finish. It gives you a smooth and premium feeling. They both come in two different color options; White and Black. You will also get a Tronsmart branding on top of the case.

On the backside, you will get a button to check the battery percentage of the charging case. You will also get a USB-C charging port along with the button. The charging case also has a LED battery indicator on the front. It blinks while charging. If the LED blinks blue, then it means you have more than 11% of battery. However, if it blinks red, then it means you have less than 10% of battery life.

Earbuds

Earbuds of Air and Air Plus are both identical in shape and size. These are stem-style earbuds. The front part of these earbuds is long. However, a larger size indicates bigger battery life or a better tech. It contains only a great tech but not a longer battery life.

The earbuds stick out of your ear sometimes, but they will not bother you too much. The overall look and build quality are very classy and premium.

Battery

Battery life is not good enough in the earbuds. These earbuds have the latest Qualcomm chipset, and it is not a battery-efficient chipset. Tronsmart claims the 5 hours of battery life with ANC turned on. You will also get additional 15 hours of battery life support with the case.

It will provide you 6 hours of battery life with ANC turned off and additional 18 hours of battery life support with a charging case. You can also fully charge the charging case in two and a half hours.

Features

Both Air and Air Plus have the same Qualcomm 3046 flagship chipset, and it also has BlueTooth 5.2 support. Both earbuds support aptX, AAC, and SBC codec. These earbuds are IP45 water and dust-resistant. This is a good feature for ANC earbuds. It will protect you with sweat and a small amount of water. The most important thing to remember is that you can not use them inside the water. Both the earbuds also feature Qualcomm true wireless stereo plus. It helps you to switch between your left and right earbuds seamlessly.

Difference

There are some differences between Apollo Air and Air Plus. The flat bottom of the Air Plus hides the wireless charging coil. As a result, you can plug it in wirelessly. However, Apollo Air does not support wireless charging. Another difference is the in-ear sensor. The Air Plus comes with an in-ear sensor. As a result, it can play or pause your content.

However, the Air Plus additionally supports aptX adaptive. While Air only supports aptX, AAC, SBC Acodec.

Dedicated App

Tronsmart has made its application simple and clean. You can easily navigate around the application. The homepage shows the battery percentage of both the right and left earbuds. You can choose between Ambient and ANC on or off mode.

The application also has an equalizer preset settings page. You will get eight different presets. However, you will not get any option to customize it by yourself. You can only choose between different presets.

Audio Latency

Latency on both earbuds is negligible while watching movies and videos. However, you will still get some delays while gaming. Apollo Air and Air Plus are not gaming earbuds.

Price

The Apollo Air will cost you about $70, and Apollo Air Plus will cost you about $100.

Conclusion

Overall, both earbuds are great at their price segment. If you do not need Wireless charging, In-Ear detection, and aptX adaptive, you should buy the Apollo Air. As a result, you can save a lot of money. If you want all these features, then go for Apollo Air Plus.
