Also apparently this got successfully backed on Kickstarter, so maybe we should kick some start into the director's butt?/cringe

Filmshop Exhibition
My short film Maddie screens as part of Filmshop Exhibition, curated by Michael Dunaway, available to watch for free through tonight here: https://www.thefilmshop.org/fs-exhibition-viewer-thursday.
Michael Dunaway “A struggling Latina bartender, a millennial hipster white woman, a group of inner-city fencers, a little girl on the streets of New York City, a Black visual artist, and a boy growing up playing chess with his grandfather. The protagonists of these six films couldn't be more different, and yet the emerging filmmakers will make you fall in love with every one of them. These six directors also share a meticulous attention to production design, and have each found the ideal pace at which to unfold their stories. But it's those characters that stick with me most. Well done.”
Petty Cash, Matt Simon Zugzwang, Lars Fuchs Maddie, Reuben Hernandez Inner City Fencers, Daniel Feighery Division Street: Fish Out of Water, Traven Rice Masterpiece, Eden Martinez
Michael Dunaway is the Editor at Large of Paste Magazine, and the founding partner of Gasoline Films and Poitier & Dunaway Motion Pictures. He is the director, writer, and producer of Six LA Love Stories, and the producer and director of 21 Years: Richard Linklater. He also produced and directed The Man Who Ate New Orleans, with Oscar nominee Morgan Spurlock. His short film Bread won Best US Narrative Short at the 2011 Rome International Film Festival. Current projects include a scripted historical civil rights epic with the King and Poitier families. He lives in Atlanta with his wife and children.

Lost media - current state
The Pandora Experiment - I've spoken to two of the 3 directors, Matt Steinauer said the project had been abandoned. Mike L. Taylor still wishes he can see it someday, and said I should talk to producer Diana Terranova. You can read our exchange here if you want, he's such a nice guy. Anyway, I tried speaking to Diana both on Facebook and Instagram but got no replies 😕
Arc of a Bird/Credits - Left comments in videos, sent emails to the production company but never heard back from them. Most recently left a message on the director, Hugh Schulze's Instagram, but I don't think he's very active on it.
Keen - Messaged the director Jimmy McDermott on Instagram, and even Helen Sadler too, but nothing. This film was in festivals, no idea why they decided to hide it afterwards.
Tweet me in N.Y. - The director Traven Rice was really active on Vimeo a couple months back, so I'm pretty sure she saw my message, but no answer. Tried speaking to writer/producer/lead Jason Denuszek on Facebook and Instagram. Nada. (I love that Eve is credited as Eva Dastmalchian Knudsen in it)
Head Case/Band - Asked Collin Schiffli about it in a million different places. Nope. Then I decided to reach out to Brandon Schiffli, and he actually replied to me, and said that they're older films done for fun that don't exactly reflect the quality of their and David's current work, which is why they're unavailable. But...... he said they might make them available on their website at some point, so let's keep hoping and waiting 🥺 really wanna see Band.
Say When - The first time I talked to the director Gregory Fitzsimmons, he made the trailer available on his Vimeo, telling me 'that ship had sailed'. But I went back to it a couple months later asking if maybe he could tell me a little bit more about it because this film refuses to leave my mind, and he said that there actually is a finished film. It exists. Say When exists. But it's not something he wanted to release widely. It's an experimental mostly improvised tragic love story, and the way he talks about it makes my mouth water wanting to watch it. Now I can only hope he changes his mind about releasing it someday.
All the Pretty Girls - Sent an email to the production company The RiSK Everything Productions a while back and only recently they replied, and told me at the start of the pandemic they put all their projects on hold, and have yet to resume operating at any capacity. All the Pretty Girls is one of their most developed films, so it would be the first to go into production when they are back up and running. They currently have no social media but as soon as there are any future considerable updates, they'll change that. Although, with the current state of things, it'll be at least a year or longer before they're back into production. Once again, let's hope. This is the first time I actually heard back from a producer, I thought they were unreachable lol
So all in all, five losses, four 'let's hope for the best'. If you wanna try your luck with any of these people, let me know. Their emails/social media are public.

@dorsey-doran-thewanderingcat
Dejinti visibly deflated at Dorsey’s remark, he hadn’t meant to ruin their fun. He nuzzled dingo Dorsey apologetically, his voice cracking slightly as he held back tears, “I-I’m sorry... I l-like that g-game, Kovo always loved s-sneaking up behind m-me t-to tickle m-me like that... I’m s-sorry I ruined it...”.
It was at this point Traven walked back in, dragging a small tray behind him. He noticed the drastic change in the mood of the room, glancing at a shivering Dejinti and a worried looking Dorsey. With a deep breath he pulled the tray in front of the two, if anything he could distract from the previous interactions.
Dejinti glanced up and his eyes widened as he saw the tray laid before them. There was a large bowl of water, a large can of sardines, some assorted cat treats, a smaller bowl of a white squishy substance Dejinti didn’t recognize, and, most importantly, 4 hard boiled eggs already de-shelled. Traven smiled gently as he noticed Dejinti’s excited expression and he gestured to the tray as he began opening the sardine can, “go on, you must be starving.”.
Dejinti quickly took the invitation, scooting forward with his blankets to grab at one of the hardboiled eggs. Traven smiled as the kitten happily took large bites, purring at the taste as he felt his empty stomach slowly filling. Traven purred with him as he gently pushed the sardine can over to Dorsey as he himself began to lick at the rice pudding he had grabbed, “eat up love, we both need the energy.”.
@dorsey-doran-thewanderingcat
Traven has jumped through the kitchen window to enter his human home many times in his life, but it had never felt this dangerous before. Not because Traven was injured or suddenly Acrophobic, but because of the precious cargo he was now cradling in his paws.
Traven has jumped through the window while holding Dorsey before of course but... but this was different. This was Dejinti. Clutching the shivering kitten tightly he tensed his muscles and jumped through the window, keeping his movements as gentle as possible to not wake the sleeping kitten. He sighed in relief as he glanced down to see Dejinti had not stirred, burying himself into Traven’s fur as Dorsey quickly followed behind.
Carefully moving into the living room, Traven laid Dejinti onto his and Dorsey’s large cat bed. He draped a blanket over the shivering kitten when he quietly mewed in protest over the loss of his living heater. With an apologetic smile, Traven quickly moved over to the fire place, setting to work on setting up the logs as he turned to Dorsey with a smile, “would you mind keeping him warm for a minute love? This fire isn’t going to start itself... or at least not while Dejinti is asleep.”.
