Full disclaimer: I've already watched all of these shows on the list. I said I was going to rewatch them a while ago but I never got to it so I am going to watch them all again eventually. This is just to know what to watch now because I am INCREDIBLY indecisive.

Anyway now that I'm officially done with a time consuming class, I have a lot of time on my hands (like 2 more hours but that's enough), and I figured out how to watch these all of these for free so.

Edit: G1 is not on there cause I'm currently rewatching it with my dad. This is just a list for me to watch on my own.

Did you just see Transformers One? It was good, wasn't it? Do you want to be fannish about it? This post is for you.

First thing to know is we use the tag maccadam. This practice dates back to when the live action movies would flood the Transformers tag with actor pics. Maccadam is where you will find the robots. It is a reference to Maccadam's Old Oil House. A bar found in some continuities. You can still use the Transformers tag

Speaking of references. Let me introduce you to your new best friend: TFWiki. The Transformers Wiki is the place to go if you want to know anything about Transformers. Shows, Movies, Comics, Books, Toys. It's all there. We're spoiled with how good this wiki is. Thanks, guys.

Now you don't have to watch more Transfomers to be a fan. If you loved the movie you're already a fan. You don't have to ever watch another thing and you are still a fan and welcome here. But I'm betting you want to see more Transfomers. Here are some other continuities and where to find them. This is not an extensive list. This is a starter pack.

The Transformers (1984) AKA Generation 1 AKA G1. The original that started it all. Dubious 80s animation and some of the greatest voice actors of all time. Available on Tubi for free.

Beast Wars AKA TFBW. If G1 started everything Beast Wars is what kept it from dying out. Absolutely bleeding edge computer animation in the 90s. It's, uh, very dated, but the story and voice acting still hold up and I recommend giving it a chance. Available on Tubi for free.

Transformers Animated AKA TFA (yes we fought the Star Wars folks over that tag) Debuted the same year as the first Live Action Movie. It is very anime influenced and shows a very different side to our favorite characters. One of the more popular shows in the fandom. Available on Tubi for free. Also on Pluto

Transformers Prime AKA TFP AKA Prime. Another very popular show with the fandom. Part of the Aligned continuity which featured books, games, and other shows. This is probably closest to Transformers One in characterization and I would recommend making this your next watch if you can. The First season is on Netflix with the rest available on Tubi. Yeah I don't know what is up with that.

Rescue Bots AKA TFRB This is a Show for Preschoolers, but don't let that scare you away. It is one of the best Transformers shows. Somehow also part of the Aligned continuity. Season one is on Netflix and it is also available on Pluto

Transformers Cyberverse AKA Cyberverse AKA TFCV. A fun Bumblebee focused show. Very few humans. Season 1 is on Hasbro's YouTube channel, Season 3 (????) is on Netflix, Also on Pluto.

Transformers EarthSpark AKA TFES. The most recent show. Lots of new characters and a new side to Megatron that I love. On Paramount+ and YouTube premium.

Live Action Movies. There are 7 live action movies the first 5 are directed by Micheal Bay and are collectively known as the Bayverse The other two movies Bumblebee and Rise of the Beasts, are also sometimes lumped in with Bayverse. It is debated if they are reboots or prequels. Personally Bumblebee is my favorite. They are all available on Paramount+

Comics. Comics have been part of Transformers from the very beginning. First with Marvel and later with other publishers. Marvel Dreamwave and IDW are the best known publishers. IDW is still very popular in fandom. Currently comics are being published by Skybound. Unfortunately finding out of print comics can be very difficult/expensive and I recommend checking TFWIKI for summaries if you can't find them.

Story time!

So the first time I ever drew tfp soundwave it was for a secret santa exchange and I had never seen him before and hoo boy let me tell u, trying to figure out how he works from like 3 reference images. I do not know how I managed. I still struggle now.

I didn't get into transformers until like 2 years later, and I watched tfp and i was like yes, good. Then my friend was waving around his comic with his sad gay robots (chromedome and rewind) and i was like ehhh I don't know about comics. But I went and opened up mtmte and there was Rodimus Prime and I was like oh fuck he's pretty.

So then I read mtmte, and its companion rid, and Lost Light, and consumed most of the rest of the idw comics series.

At some point I discovered the tfwiki. That was hazardous. I have absorbed all sorts of useless transformers knowledge from there. Did you know IDW Starscream is 28 feet tall and weighs 22 tones? Did you know Optimus Prime's mind is less than 1.2 megabytes because they could fit it on a 5¼ inch human-made floppy disk? Apparently I do!

Watched rid2015, Armada, Animated, Cyberverse, G1, Rescue Bots Acadamy. Working on watching Beast Wars and Rescue Bots. Got a few episodes into rid2001 and Energon but I wasn't feeling the vibes and will have to come back to it later.

[One particular early rid2015 episode I did not enjoy so much that I stopped it 10 minutes in and watched all the Bayverse movies instead. There is commentary to be made there.]

I read that one person's 500 page thesis on how actually Optimus is the bad guy in the Bayverse movies [yeah I totally see it]. It took me 15 hours. I then went and watched that movie with the truck they mentioned [Duel (1971), thanks google]

The number of WIP fanfics in my documents is steadily approaching 50 (35 at last count, and I have added more since)

Consumed entire tags worth of fanfiction on ao3. [Please write more tfp Soundwave/Starscream fics I ran out.]

Made an ao3 account [tarnishedspark there too] and started posting some fics over there.

I came and made a transfomers blog which was supposed to just be to go with my fanfic stuff but its just me with all the transformers stuff now.

It has been less than a year. I fell Hard.

How do you see a Rescue Bots bad ending AU for the ep Rescue Boy! I have already made some sketches and ideas for the AU.

But even so, wanna share some headcanons or other ideas for this AU?

I'm honored for the ask! But to be honest, I struggle writing angst and trauma too. But I hope this works for you.

For starters, I imagine this would have negative effect on Cody mental and emotional state. Meaning I imagine becoming much more cynical and less cheerful. This incident would convince him that he simply isn't meant to be a hero, that all he's meant to do is remain in the shadows while those around him get to be in the spotlight and have their chances to be heroes. He would still do his part to help in the Burns family, but more out of obligation than any real passion for his job like he used to. And if he's adopted, that will make him feel worse and believe that there is no place for him anywhere, since even his birth parents didn't want him.

Frankie would start out with well intentions and she started genuinely just wanting to keep what happened to Cody from happening to others. But the more popular she becames, the more arrogant she becomes, and eventually she sort of forgets why she even did all of this in the first place. She would be more focused on all the atention of fame her hero persona gets, and might brag tha she's a better hero than the Burns, especially Cody. But the more arrogant she becomes, the more reckless she gets, and eventually she starts causing more trouble than solving, and she might let her identity slip and ends up putting her family endanger as there are plenty of people who would attack her family to get to her.

As for Charlie, he would be at a loss to what to do. He's not oblivious, he knows the miserable state Cody is in, and he wold try his best to assure Cody thatnhe can be a hero and do good, but Cody doesn't believe him, no matter how hard Charlie tries. And he would be extra protective of Cody after the incident, watching over him to make sure he doesn't get hurt. But this behavior would hurt Cody more, making the poor boy believe that his father doesn't think he's truly capable of doing anything on his own. And it might get to point where he'll start accidentally neglect his other kids and his job as police chief just to look over Cody.

Kade, Dani, and Graham would have a tough time to. Their youngest brother is depressed and cynical, their Dad is focusing all his energy on Cody and seemingly forgetting about them, and Frankie is practically stealing their jobs.

And the poor bots get caught up in all the drama, wanting to help but not knowing what to do.
