Y’know
I try not to think about the cancellation too much and just enjoy being in the fandom and enjoying the show me the books that we have
But we were ROBBED of a second season
I’m still so genuinely upset
I cannot believe that they cancelled it, everyone who worked on it and everyone in the fandom deserved a second season

not be completely insane and obsessive but the fact that I teared up watching the trailer after noticing this umbrella stand used to hold rapiers. it was such minor detail and I couldn’t even tell you from which book it’s mentioned but it’s something I always remember so vividly especially when I was imagining Portland row. It was just like this perfect blend of domestication and professionalism. And just the fact that someone in the props department went through the books and just made note of every small detail like this and then like actually built it!! And then like actually put it in the show!! Like I’m floored. It just is so reassuring that there was a team that was dedicated and motivated to doing this adaptation justice and having an attention to detail. A++++++++++++ for effort and execution.
Like I just hope everyone else who loved the books is getting to see like their favourite little details come to life. (And so far it seems this is the case???)

Lucy’s accent.
George’s surliness.
Lockwood’s voice.
I’m shaking. It looks so good. It sounds so good. Is this real life.

Just came across a Lockwood & Co review video on YT made by 3 guys (2 of whom actually went to the 1st episode screening!!)
Overall, their review was positive! The guys who watched the first episode said that the trailer didn't actually do it justice! They praised the world building and said that there's a lot of lore that can be explored in later seasons. (They said that the show has potential to have like 10 seasons, but i personally hope they stick to about 3😅)
They seem to be fans of Joe Cornish and Attack the Block, and said they'd give Lockwood & Co. a try because he directed it. They also mentioned the fact that the protagonists are young adults and YA series usually aren't their thing but, again, since Joe Cornish worked on it, they'd watch it.
Here's the link to the review if you want to watch:
