COD BOCW Bell OC Introduction
Welp... Can't stop myself from trying to make an intro for Kaoru and Dimi that I planned to make tomorrow but fck it since I saw someone's really curious about my two lovable brain-washed troublemakers 🤭💖 I'll post about their personalities tomorrow (@flowersandbirdsflyingfree saw you reblogged my fanart and curious about the two so if you're reading this, I hope you like it )
SPOILERS AHEAD!!!!
Kaoru Sasaki:
Kaoru is a quiet person who works in a company she hates. She wanted to be a programmer but ended up as a call center agent as the working place was a disaster. It was filled with other employees harassing their female coworkers, the workplace becomes a brothel, the poor management can't be contained, and many more. When Vikhor "Stitch" Kuzmin met her while she was having her overtime on her shift, she was given the invitation to join Perseus, an organization full of spies and agents working together. Kaoru declines the offer and left the office without looking back. She then keeps meeting up with Stitch as she tries to keep her distance away from him. On her day off after eating with Mikan at a coffee shop, she stumbled upon a red door in the dark alleyway as she entered the building, only for her to meet "Perseus", the nameless leader of Perseus. She also met his right-hand man Dimitri Volkov, a KGB agent and part of Perseus. She declines the offer once again and left. Feeling miserable with her life, she went to an abandoned building which is near her workplace.
(P.S. I'm not mentioning what happened at the abandoned building since I find it quite a WARNING thing but if you're curious, feel free to read Chapter 2 of Loyalty or Betrayal on Ao3):
After she met Dimitri, she starts to bond with him as she starts to look at him as a friend. When Dimitri told Kaoru he had to leave and goes back to the US since he was working there as a CIA agent but the truth is that he was infiltrating the place to gain information. Days passed, and she got a call from Stitch that Dimitri "died", which she didn't believe as she took the necklace that Stitch gave to her and dashed her way to her workplace, only for the office to be closed down since her boss was arrested for sexual harassment on one of the female employees. She saw Mikan and told her about her leaving Kabukicho without telling Mikan the reason behind her departure and went to the alleyway to meet Stitch and Perseus. Soaked in the rain, she opened the door as she was holding the necklace, Kaoru tells the two that she will join Perseus, to which Perseus happily agrees. Years have passed, and she is now part of the organization as she got the nickname "Hannya" and teamed up with her new friend Kaori 'Kitsune" Tanaka. She was with Arash during their time on Trabzon as she was about to meet with Anton Volkov, only for Arash to shoot her in the car when they arrive at the runway. She was later captured by Adler and the others, treated for her gunshot wound, and taken care of under the care of Dimitri, who is now brainwashed and goes by the name Viktor Antonov. She later tries to bring his memories back which it worked but was interrupted when Woods and Mason saw Kaoru and Dimitri drawing their weapons to pretend that they're having a fight. When she tries to fight Dimitri by disarming his gun, Woods and Mason stop her but she later threw her knife at Woods, only for Lena (Cod Zombies OC) to deflect the knife with her katana (which is similar to Takeo) and apprehends her to the ground. Kaoru was interrogated by the three and was interrupted by Adler, who had planned to add Kaoru to their team as Bell. Angered, Lena disagrees and left the room and tells Hudson and Weaver about the plan, Adler and Park work on their new Bell and she was now a new person, with no memories of who she really was, and now she is called under the name Tamayo Shirosaki.
Tid bit: Lena is also part of the CIA and worked with Adler before the events of the Dark Aether storyline happened.
Dimitri Volkov:
Dimitri is a KGB agent and a spy to Perseus. A skilled fighter who is also quite brutal in killing his targets. He worked at the CIA as Yuri Sidorov to keep his identity hidden, during his time in Japan, he met Kaoru in the building where it became her workplace as a programmer. After the incident happened in the abandoned building, he starts to have feelings for her as he begins to have a goal of protecting her at all costs and spends his time with Kaoru. When he needed to go back to the US, he tells Kaoru that he needs to leave Japan so he will go back to the land of the free and gets back to work in the CIA. When he arrives at the CIA office, the real intention he was part of the organization was to infiltrate and get info from the CIA to make their move. When he meets with Adler, Mason, Woods, and Hudson, the five talk about the Iranian Hostage Crisis and Arash Kadivar and Qasim Javadi. When Dimitri was alone in the room, he contacted Perseus but was interrupted by Mason, who starts to suspect him. He tries to tell him a lie to change the subject but Mason didn't budge, he went closer to him to remove his glasses but his hand was grabbed by Dimitri and the two began fighting with each other. When Woods, Adler, and Hudson check up on Mason and Dimitri, Woods helps Mason but he was shot by Dimitri and Adler hits his head by using a blunt object, knocking him unconscious. He woke up in an interrogation room where he was tied up in an electric chair, Hudson asked him who he was and his intentions, but being stubborn he was, he didn't listen as he was electrocuted several times. When Hudson shows the photo of Dimitri and Kaoru which he dropped while fighting Mason, he struggles to get out of the chair and gets electrocuted again. Fed up with his stubbornness, Adler told the three about MK Ultra, a type of experimentation program which is used by the CIA to interrogate a person by brainwashing them. He and Park then started the program with Dimitri as he is now Viktor Antonov. His memories about Kaoru, his affiliations with Perseus, and his job as a KGB agent are erased as tampered memories were now present in his mind until he meets Kaoru again and begins to remember everything.

Do you have any idea where I could buy a traditional Pontic outfit (guy) online?? I’ve been looking but I can’t really find one
… Alternatively, what are the components of it, because it might be easier to just make my own/find the specific components.
———————————————
I don’t know where you live but I couldn’t find any online English shops which sell Pontiac outfits. I can give you some links but I am not sure they ship where you live. Most of them seem to just ship in Greece. (Copy and Paste them).
https://marketnet.gr/en/greek-traditional-costumes/739-greek-traditional-costume-pontius-teens-men-pontios-mark621.html

Now, for the making of a Pontiac outfit:
Some pictures for reference
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Here is a video on how to dress with the traditional clothing of Trapezounda (Trabzon).
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ap-U-4K3Q2U
 The base:
You will need a plain shirt (whatever color you want) with a high colar.
Over that a black vest.
You will need pants in dark color. The pants need to be wide from your waist to your knees.
Finally, you will need some long black boots.
 Accessories:
You will need a headpiece, called “Paslik/Pasluk/Pasluh”. It looks like a hood on the middle. It is two meters in diameter and 30cm in width. Tie it around your head and make a knot at the back of the head or to the side. You should sew a tuft on the top of it. (1:45 – 4:09 in the video shows you different ways to tie it).
Over your pants, in your waist, you need to tie a wide cloth with horizontal or vertical stripes in bright and intense colors like blue, green, red, beige, yellow. It has tassels on the end of it. The cloth is called Tarapuluz/Tropoloz.
Over Tarapuluz/Tropoloz you put a wide leather belt with horizontal stripes, which has a place for a small knife. From there you also hang a cloth embroidered purse (On the picture it’s the one on the left of the body, with the golden bird on it).
0:50 – 1:20 on the video shows you how to put a talisman, a small metallic purse and a clock.
ΥΟU CAN ALSO DO SIMPLER VERSIONS, like these:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
But the more accessories you manage to make/find, the more culturally rich your clothing will be.
You can google “ανδρική παραδοσιακή στολή Πόντου” for more results.
I hope I covered you! If not, feel free to send me a PM or another ask.
Good luck!!

Turkey Tours for Nature Lovers
Tumblr media
The country of Turkey is known for its beaches and ancient ruins, but I bet you didn’t know about the vastly different types of terrain the country has to offer. Turkey could be a nature lovers paradise if you only know where to look. Forests, mountains, beaches and volcanic tuff, Turkey has it all and each one is more beautiful than the last.
Tumblr media
Istanbul is Turkey’s most famous city, but only an hour away is the city of Bursa, the original capital of the Ottoman Empire and known for its greenery. Bursa lies at the foot of Uludag Mountain, which is a popular place to visit in summer and winter. During the wintertime, the mountain is filled with skiers but in the summer time it’s a beautiful forest and the perfect place to hike. There are marked hiking trails at the top of the mountain and after a few kilometers of hiking, you’ll come across the glacial lakes and you might even be able to glimpse the Marmara Sea! Turkey Tours for Nature Lovers: Click Here
Tumblr media
The black Sea city of Trabzon is often overlooked for Turkey’s more popular destinations, making the city a diamond in the rough. Its alpine terrain makes it a wonderful place to explore and enjoy nature. Nearby is Sumela Monastery, which was built onto the side of a mountain. Take a day to hike around and see how the monks lived their daily lives. About 100 km away is the beautiful scenic town of Uzungol. The city is built around a lake and is surrounded by mountains. A popular trek from Uzungol takes you up to the nearby peaks of Ziyaret and Halizden. It is a long days hike but definitely worth it.
Tumblr media
Close to Trabzon and Uzungol is the mountainside town of Ayder. The main attractions are nearby waterfalls that fall off the mountainside and a hot spring complex. There are also some trekking trails, but you must transfer there by minibus. There are charming wooden bungalows to rent in Ayder and river rafting is also possible there.
Tumblr media
Turkey Tours for Nature Lovers: Click Here If beaches are more your style, then check out the Lycian Way, a long distance walking trail that follows the Turquoise Coast. If you were to walk the entire way, it would take about 5 weeks to complete. The trail starts near Oludeniz beach and ends near Antalya. The trail goes through mountain ranges and seascapes and the terrain consists of boulder strewn trails and forested paths. At some points, the trail is not clearly marked and overgrowth and construction makes the path hard to find. The original hiker who marked the trail also wrote a guidebook that can be purchased at shops along the trail or online. The book contains info on where to find water and overnight accommodations, although many of those places don’t exist anymore. The book also contains a map which at some points is the only thing that will help you find the trail. It is not recommended to attempt this hike in the summertime as temperatures get too hot. The best times to go are in October when the weather gets cooler or in April or May before the summer gets too hot.
Tumblr media
Cappadocia gained its fame from the hot air balloons at sunrise. However, the volcanic tuff that makes up the terrain formed beautiful rock formations and gorges that are the perfect hiking destination. There is a two hour hike from the main city of Goreme to Uchisar. The hike through the Cappadocia countryside is visually rewarding and the hike isn’t too difficult. It you still have energy when you arrive in the village of Uchisar, climb to the top of the castle for the best view of the region. The Ihlara Valley on the South side of Cappadocia is a beautiful gorge that is perfect for hikers. Churches and villages are carved into the rocks along the valley and the entire thing is 16km. There are villages with places to stay along the valley and cafes for refreshment. Turkey Tours for Nature Lovers: Click Here No matter what type of terrain you prefer to explore, Turkey is sure to have something to please you. Turkey is so much more than a beach destination. There are so many naturally beautiful places to explore here and you’ll definitely be glad you came! Read the full article

Bekanntschaften von unterwegs - Interview 1
Tumblr media
Emre: Seit zwei Jahren.
GdZ: Was gefällt dir am besten in deinem Alltag hier in Aksehir?
Y: Ich spiele gern Playstation und mag Autofahren.
GdZ: Was würdest du gern hier in Aksehir oder in deinem Leben ändern?
GdZ: Was war bisher deine beste Reise?
E: Nach Trabzon ans schwarze Meer.
Y: Kamuran Akkor - Atese attin beni (1986)
und Aleyna Tilki - Dipsiz kuyum (2018)
GdZ: Tshok Merci!
Y: Aviet Olson!

Did elviya write any other book about Murad besides "Murad IV" ? Naima has a book with the same name too right ? And it was his (Naima) only book about him ?
Mmm Evliya Çelebi did not write a book about Murad IV. He wrote a travelogue of... his travels lmao, called “Seyahatnâme”, in 10 volumes. In the first volume he talks about Istanbul, the reigns of the sultans from Süleyman I to Mehmed IV, the mosques in the city, his own life, imperial tombs, etc etc; the other volumes are dedicated to his travels, Melek Pasha, Kaya Sultan,
Outline of the Seyahatnâme as it is presented in An Ottoman Mentality: the World of Evliya Celebi by Robert Dankoff:
I. Dream: 19 August 1630 (10 Muharrem 1040, i.e. his 20th birthday). Historical and geographical survey of Istanbul. Up and down the Golden Horn and the Bosphoros. Shops; parade of guilds.
II. Dream (reprisal). Beginning of travels: 27 April 1640 (5 Muharrem 1050, i.e., just before his 30th birthday): Bursa; returns and gets his father’s blessing. Trabzon; gazas in Caucasus and Crimea. Crete: Canea campaign. Erzurum; Azerbaijan. Celalis; Varvar Ali Pasha. Istanbul 1648: deposal of Sultan Ibrahim and janissary revolt. The saga of Kara Haydar-oğlu
III. Syria. Istanbul 1650: vizierate of Melek Ahmed Pasha. Rumelia. Istanbul 1653–55: vizierate of Ipshir Pasha; Melek Pasha “exiled” to Van; Evliya’s escape.
IV. Van and Bitlis. Azerbaijan, Kurdistan, Mesopotamia. → Mosul.
V. Return to Van; escape from Bitlis. Istanbul 1656. Özü. Istanbul 1658: death of Kaya Sultan. With Köprülü against the Celalis. Wallachia, Moldavia, and Transylvania campaigns. Bosnia. The saga of Seydi Ahmed Pasha.
VI. Istanbul 1662: Melek Pasha’s death. Hungary. Abandonment of Yenikal'e.
VII. Battle on the Raab (St. Gotthard) 1664. With Kara Mehmed Pasha to Vienna 1665. Crimea, Circassia, Kalmukia. → Azov.
VIII. Istanbul 1667. Greece. Crete: Candia campaign. Albania. Istanbul 1670.
IX. Aegean and Mediterranean coast. The Holy Land. The Hajj. → Cairo.
X. Cairo 1672: historical and geographical survey. Shops and guilds. Down the Nile: the Delta. Up the Nile: Sudan and Abyssinia. → Cairo.
Naima, on the other hand, wrote chronicles. His work is titled “Naima’s History” or, in English, “Annals of the Turkish Empire from 1591–1659 of the Christian Era” and, again, it is not about Murad IV.

Best 10 Places to Visit
Istanbul
Nearly all Turkey itineraries begin in Istanbul. It’s this city that straddles two continents at once. The Bosphorus Strait acts like a continental border, splitting the city into two halves Napa wineries European and Asian. This city is the center of the country’s film and television industry, which is why many telenovelas, including Kuzey Guney, are not only shot but also set here. When here, make sure you visit the Ottoman Topkapi Palace, the beautiful Hagia Sophia with its intricate mosaics, and the underground Basilica Cistern. Shop until you drop at the Grand Bazaar, take a cruise down the Bosphorus, say a prayer at the Blue Mosque and soak in the cityscape from the Galata tower.
Ankara
Turkey’s capital and second-largest city, Ankara, is a quieter version of Istanbul. Buğra Gülsoy, who plays Guney in Kuzey Guney, was born here. He is among many celebrities who call this city home. The city has all the fine-tuning that come with being a diplomatic seat of power; however, it never bores its visitors. Here, you can visit the Anıtkabir, which is the mausoleum of Mustafa Kemal Ataturk, the founder of Turkey. It is no wonder why this structure dominates the city’s skyline. For panoramic views of the city, head to the Ankara Citadel located in the Ulus Bentderesi District of the Old Quarter. While you are here, go for a walk on the cobblestone alleys of the quarter and take in the quaint Ottoman houses. At the other end of the spectrum is Kizilay Square, filled with buzzing cafes and restaurants.
Bodrum
The star of the Turkish Riviera, Bodrum, is a world-famous getaway for beach lovers. The city sits by the Aegean Sea and offers a fun Mediterranean vibe to visitors. Its enviable location makes many tourists throng the numerous cafes, restaurants, and luxury hotels that line its azure coastline every summer. Kıvanç Tatlıtuğ, who plays the role of Kuzey in Turkey’s most popular show, holidays here often! You could visit Bodrum Castle, the Museum of Underwater Archaeology, the ancient Bodrum Theatre, and Myndos Gate or simply recline on the beach and hope to run into him!
Kas, Antalya
Kas is a quiet seaside town set away from the bustling crowds. It is located in the Antalya region on the Mediterranean coastline of Turkey. If you prefer an itinerary that’s void of a to-do list, this should be your to-go place! This is the best spot to explore the underwater world first-hand with several diving schools that will first train and then take you on guided deep-sea diving tours. You may take a break from that at one of the seaside cafes or explore the colorful streets of the old market! Kas also offers a dose of history in the form of ancient sites like Antiphellos Theatre.
Trabzon
Trabzon offers two-in-one fun: it’s located by the Black Sea in north-eastern Turkey and has the Pontic Mountains pass through it; this creates a hill station-like ambiance. The region offers a different take on Turkey, one that’s sprinkled with bouts of silence. Explore the Sumela Monastery, a Greek Orthodox Ministry built in the year 346 AD. Spend a night near the Uzun Göl or Long Lake, enjoy a sunset over the Black Sea at Boztepe, and pay respects to the nation’s founding father at the Trabzon Ataturk Kosku museum. Trabzon also has its own Hagia Sophia that’s a little different from the one in Istanbul!
Cappadocia
You will know you’re in Cappadocia when you look up and see colorful hot air balloons floating in the sky. Of course, the best view from one of these balloons is that of the UNESCO World Heritage Site-listed Goreme Open Air Museum, which is home to rock-cut churches that once sheltered Byzantine monks. Equally fascinating are the region’s 36 underground cities—; the most prominent one being the Kaymakli Underground City. Once you’re done touring the sights in Istanbul and Ankara, there are direct flights that connect you to this city in the central Anatolian region of Turkey. You can visit the various pottery shops, the Pasabag, and Devrent Valley, and even check into a cave hotel!
Ephesus
If you are a lover of history then Ephesus must make an entry in your Turkey travel map. It is located about one hour away from Izmir, a city in which many of Turkey’s most popular shows have been set. Ephesus was once an ancient Greek city and today its ruins are very interesting to visit. The entire area is now a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and its must-visit places include the remains of the Temple of Artemis, the Temple of Hadrian, the Basilica of St. John and the Ephesus Museum where you will be captivated by the Artemis statute and the Gladiator Room. The Isa Bey Mosque is an important religious center as is the Meryemana.
Konya
Konya is a romantic city—the kind that would lure dreamers and poets. It’s no wonder why the famous Sufi poet and whirling dervish, Mevlana Rumi, penned his famous, heart-touching verses here in the 13th century. Without a doubt, your first stop should be at the Mevlana Museum that’s adorned with gorgeous roses and contains the tomb of the renowned poet. Its Semahane contains a museum exhibiting religious items from the era. Head to the Alaeddin Tepe park for an evening stroll and cup of Turkish tea. The other fine arts in Konya are represented by the Tile Museum and Museum of Wooden and Stone Carving, ensuring that all lovers of art have a gala time here!
Pamukkale
Pamukkale literally translates to “cotton castle.” One look at its whitewashed terrain and you will know why! The natural site in southwestern Turkey abounds with hot springs rich in the mineral travertine and has been drawing visitors since the 2ndcentury B.C.! Declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site, Pamukkale combines mineral forests, waterfalls, and terraced basins into an open-air spa in a surreal landscape. Take a dip in the calcium-rich travertines, trek up Pamukkale Castle, and learn about Cicero in the Roman ruins of Laodikeia. You may also explore the Hierapolis City Ruins that, along with the springs, make up this UNESCO site.
Bursa
Bursa is so verdant that it was nicknamed "Yeşil Bursa" (Green Bursa) because of the number of parks and gorgeous mountain within and around it. It once served as the capital of the Ottoman state, and its importance as an industrial center continues to this day. In the winters, it is a major attraction for skiers because of the ski resort of Mount Uludağ that overlooks it. In the summers, the mountain provides respite from the heat and wonderful mountain vistas. Take the teleferik to go up to the top. Cumalıkızık, with its quaint cobblestone streets, is a preserved Ottoman village just outside the city center that offers a peek into the traditional Turkish way of life, head here for its huge village breakfast spreads. Buy souvenirs like ebru painting, lithography, ceramics and tiles, calligraphy, metal art, and Ottoman-period antiques at the Kayhan Bazaar. Also, don’t miss the natural thermal spas and hammams!
