The Art of the Slowpoke, or How I Stopped Caring About HP
Tumblr media
This is the Lamborghini SC20. It's a one off, some 750 HP and uh, well no roof. I don't know the name of this style, but it has been a thing with a lot of one-off, or limited run cars. I don't really get it, but to be frank, I don't really hate it either. I do like this car, it's a nice design, the color scheming is rather different (when was the last time you saw a stock blue & white Lambo?), but to be frank, I would never own it. Yeah, I couldn't afford it ever my life, but even if I could, it wouldn't be my first pick of car. Hell, it wouldn't even be the first Lamborghini I'd go for. That'd be the Diablo. But, well, there's still a dozen dozen cars I'd go for first.
Tumblr media
Frankly, it'd be something like this. An AMC Gremlin. A little shitbox American car from the mid-70s with a V8 that barely shits out as much power as a modern Miata. Top speed of 100 when it goes downwind, bodywork with more rust than solid metal, cheap as shit. It's perfect. It's pure, shithole 70's Detroit, when the oil crisis meant "lets make the worst fucking cars imaginable and kill the muscle car."
Tumblr media
Meanwhile, only 5-6 years ago, Italy pushed out this absolute centerfold of a car, the Alfa Romeo 33 Stradale, a car with as much horsepower as an RX8 but enough oomph to still hit 200 mph. In 1968. It's one of those multi-million dollar cars nowadays, a holy grail of ownership that half the examples are probably rotting away in some dickhead's collection. And I absolutely adore this car, don't get me wrong. I'd kill to drive this for a day, even. But I'd still buy a Gremlin first.
Tumblr media
Cool shitboxes really aren't a thing anymore, frankly. Low horsepower, but high fun factor. Japan puts out a lot of cheap, sporty cars, sure, but a lot pale in comparison to their older generations. Would sooner buy a '93 Civic than a '23. But in a fun, almost poetic twist, you have thisun. The Abarth 124 Spider. Well, it's mostly a Miata, but all the fixin's are done up by Abarth. It's still only 165 HP, less than a fucking Kia Soul Turbo, but come on, would you really buy one of those over this? The Miata might've turned from the hairdresser car to the weird cult icon it's become in recent years, but this one stands out from the rest. The Fiata as they call it, sounding 100 HP more aggressive than it is, only able to hit 140 on a good day. And it goes racing. Brings to mind something else, really...
Tumblr media
Yeah, the Ford Escort. A car that started life as a cheap family car, a replacement for the Anglia (The stupid flying car from Harry Potter), turned into a long running icon of Ford's rallying success. It's a tale not unheard of in the sport, the Fiat 131 in the 80's was a similar story, but its an inspiring story. Something so simple, so low-power, under the radar, turning into a motoring icon on the dirt. That is something I just adore. Seeing these cars some would consider lower echelon becoming full-blown powerhouses almost out of nowhere. Something that a lot of cars have kinda lost. Sure, the Focus is a cheap, fun car, but it's been pretty heavily involved with motorsport that it kinda loses its luster.
Tumblr media
Cases like this fucking drift Corolla. Who fucking cares about the Toyota Corolla? It's arguably played second fiddle to the Celica for a long time, but here you have this one that's a part of the Formula Drift circuit, sporting over a thousand horsepower, it's barely even close to the original. But god you have to just love this thing. The engineering behind it, the sheer insanity of it. The gall to take something so basic, so common, and make it a contender in the drift scene. That is some real love for the little guy. A love that has really been left wanting in the modern times.
Tumblr media
In a world where you have active-aero so ridiculously advanced it tilts in 20 different directions at different speeds on a road car, there's not much fun for the little guy. There's a reason that so many slower, yet interesting cars are all 15+ years old. Automakers, owners, hell, most people don't have cars to care about these days. The age of the SUV is upon us. And yeah, some of those are pretty interesting, fast and powerful. But even the 70's and 80's put out more interesting garbage than most modern stuff. Just look at the new Integra. What about that screams "Integra?"
Tumblr media
This was a bunch of rambling that really didn't pay much attention to the topic I wanted to talk about, but maybe the point gets across. Power and luxury don't make a dream car, always. Just spirit, a love for the machine, and maybe just a pinch of personal experience.

How to Build a Drift Car: A Step-by-Step Guide
What makes a car a drift car? Well, for drifting, a car has to have a front engine, a locked differential, and a rear-wheel-drive layout.
The process of building a drift car consists of 7 steps. These are:
Choosing the right car
Not every car qualifies for becoming a drift car. Hence it is crucial to choose a vehicle that can perform drifting effortlessly on tracks. Usually, cars that are lightweight and rear-wheel-drive with manual transmission are the most suitable ones.
Reduce the car weight
Drifting a heavy car is troublesome. Therefore, the next thing to do is to lessen the car weight. Remove any unnecessary parts like interior panels, rear seats, speakers, center console, and other accessories except for the handbrake, gear stick, steering, and dashboard gauges. During this process, it is also a good idea to get rid of all types of in-car entertainment systems to avoid any distractions.
Engine/Transmission run
After the weight reduction, check if both engine and transmission are working in sync and offering optimal performance. Depending on the power/torque you need to generate on this drifting car, tune the car engine.
Install a strong clutch
Clutches play a crucial role in drift cars. Install heavy duty-clutches for drifting, as leather-like materials wear off quickly during heavy-duty tasks.
Installing LSD or welding them
As drifting cars require both rear wheels to rotate at the same speed all through the ride, install LSD (Limited Slip Differential) on your differentials. Also, you can weld the differentials if you find that easier to do.
Hydraulic handbrakes installation
Using the hydraulic handbrakes, drivers can lock up the rear wheels at a speed faster than the in-built cable system. These brakes also make rear-wheel locking and sideway car swing effortless.
Installing roll cages
For any drift car, roll cage installation is a must. This external framework helps to stiffen the chassis. It also protects the drivers (given they wear a helmet) even when there is damage in the car body.
Installation of coilover suspension
Drift cars need stiff suspensions for maintaining ground balance during car glide. Therefore, Coilover is the best type of suspension for these vehicles.
Drifting a car is all about changing directions, and this suspension keeps weight transfer to the minimum during direction change by increasing roll stiffness and reducing the center of gravity.
Increase the steering angle
While steering on a drift car, drivers need a wider angle. It is only feasible when there is an increased steering angle.
A manual process or the drift angle conversion kit is a popular approach to extend the steering angle.
Final Words
Now that you know how to build a drift car, begin the straightforward process. This procedure is time-consuming and costly, but with skills and patience, one can seamlessly turn a car into a drift car.
Power Steering*
Power steering is a mechanical device installed on a vehicle that reduces the effort needed to turn the steering wheel, making it easier for the vehicle to turn or maneuver at low speeds. There are three main types of power steering systems such as hydraulic power steering (HPS)
Paddle Shifters*
Paddle shifters are “paddles” or buttons mounted on or near the steering wheel of a vehicle that allow a driver to manually shift gears while their hands remain on the steering wheel.
Paddle shifters equipped in your Toyota Corolla serve a different purpose and function than those found in a Lamborghini Huracan, but in the most general sense, they still serve the same purpose of allowing some level of driver control over the vehicle’s transmission.
Drifting Strategy
Power Over
This is performed when entering a corner and using full throttle to produce heavy oversteer through the turn. You need a lot of horsepower to make this happen.
Head toward a turn at about 30 mi (48 km) per hour. This is the ideal speed for sliding around the bend. If you have a manual gear shift, put the car into second gear and rev the engine up to 3,000 RPM. If you go too fast, you may lose control during the drift. If you go any slower than this, you may not have enough speed to get all the way around the bend.[4]
In drifting, speed isn’t the most important part. Good control is necessary for both destabilizing the car’s balance and also keeping you safe while drifting.
Turn the steering wheel in the direction of the bend. As soon as you enter the turn, begin turning toward it. Spin the wheel gently and without a lot of force. This will set you up for the drift, but you’re not quite ready to start it yet. Keep the car close to the inside part of the turn for now.
Keep your hands on the wheel so you’re ready to maneuver it at all times. In a power on, it is responsible for the drift as well as the car’s positioning.
Spin the wheel toward the corner while applying the throttle. Try to do both simultaneously. Press down hard on the gas pedal and turn the wheel with force this time. If the move was successful, you will feel the car begin to spin as the back wheels lose traction.
If you’re having a hard time starting the drift, using the handbrake or clutch could help. Combine the handbrake or clutch kick technique with the power over.
Steer away from the bend to begin drifting around the turn. Be quick about it to keep control of the car. If you’re successful, the car will point toward where you want to go. Remember to turn the wheel with force to straighten out the car. Also, continue pressing on the gas to apply even more throttle.
If you don’t apply enough force, the car’s back end will come all the way around, causing you to spin out.
Straighten out the car once you get around the bend. Let go of the throttle to reduce your speed. As the car begins stabilizing again, gradually rotate the wheel back toward the bend. Focus on moving the car toward where you want to go.
Once the front part of the car gets around the bend, you can begin driving toward the road. As soon as the car is stable, you can also press down on the gas to drive away.
Left-Foot Braking
Left-Foot Braking (左足ブレーキ) is the technique of using the left foot to operate the brake pedal in an automobile, leaving the right foot dedicated to the throttle. It is a quite difficult technique as the left foot is normally used for the clutch pedal.
"You usually don't use this technique with an FR... but you brake with the left foot to stabilize the car at an extremely high speed. With an FF like an EG-6...you need your right foot on the gas pedal continuously to avoid understeering so you brake with your left foot to take the weight off the rear tire and turn sharper…"

The Best Mileage Car – The Most Fuel-Efficient Models
Tumblr media
What is the best mileage car in the world? – this is probably one of the first questions that come to mind when we consider purchasing a vehicle. Fuel efficiency is a deciding factor for many, as it determines how much they will have to spend on gas. With the shortage of petrol supplies and the upsurge in prices, now it’s become more important than ever to use less gas.
Numerous factors can affect the fuel economy of the vehicle, however, its characteristics play the biggest role. If a car has a beast of an engine, the chances are you won’t be able to increase mpg substantially. Thus, it’s reasonable to examine the most fuel-efficient vehicles in the auto industry.
THE BEST GAS MILEAGE CARS IN WORLD
Top non-hybrid models
If you want to purchase an affordable vehicle, then fuel economy is one of the first things you should be considering. Low initial costs won’t mean anything if you have to waste a substantial amount of money on gas. But that doesn’t mean that you should necessarily buy a hybrid. Diesel and gasoline engines can also be budget-friendly.
Here’s the list of the most fuel efficient cars that aren’t hybrid or electric.
Mitsubishi Mirage
If fuel efficiency is your priority and you don’t really care about horsepower, then Mitsubishi Mirage is a perfect choice for you. It won’t blow your mind with speed and quick acceleration. In fact, you’ll need nerves of steel behind the wheel. However, we can turn a blind eye on that considering how fuel-efficient this fella is. It has an impressive 39 mpg combined!
Hyundai Elantra or Accent
Both Hyundai Elantra and Accent are reasonable choices for those who want to invest in high-mpg cars. The former delivers 37 mpg combined, while the latter can travel 36 miles per gallon. Both of these models are interesting, comfortable, and fun to drive. Satisfactory acceleration and horsepower will make your drive even more enjoyable.
Kia Rio
Kio Rio has the highest range among other cars on this list. This puppy will easily cover 490 miles with a single tank of fuel. With 36 mpg combined, this fella certainly deserves a place on the list of the best gas mileage cars!
Honda Civic
With increased horsepower, comes reduced fuel efficiency. But with Honda Civic, the reduction isn’t significant. This vehicle can travel 36 miles with a single gallon of vehicle, yet it still has 174 hp. This means that you’ll receive desired functionalities and capabilities without visiting the gas station every hour.
Toyota Corolla Hatchback
Seeing Toyota on this list shouldn’t be surprising for anyone. Their Corolla Hatchback is one of the most fuel-efficient non-hybrid models. It has a 2.0-liter engine that will drive you 36 miles with a gallon of petrol. It mightn’t be the most exciting model out there, yet it’s not the least impressive one either.
Nissan Versa
Nissan Versa with automatic transmission is also a great choice for those who want a budget-friendly car. Whether you buy it new or used, it still won’t break the bank. It will remain affordable while driving as well since its mpg is 35 combined. Plus, Nissan improved a thing or two to make the new version of Versa even more attractive.
Lexus UX 200
Naturally, we couldn’t complete this list without including at least one SUV. You’ll enjoy Lexus UX 200 a great deal if you prefer a more spacious vehicle. Even though it’s less fuel-efficient than sedans, it’s still worth our attention. After all, it’s an SUV that will drive you on a highway with 37mpg.
THE MOST FUEL EFFICIENT CARS
Tumblr media
Top hybrid and plug-in-hybrid models
After discussing non-hybrid models, it’s time to take a look at the most fuel efficient cars in the world i.e. hybrid and plug-in hybrid (PHEV) vehicles.
Hyundai Ioniq
Similar to other fuel-efficient vehicles, Hyundai Ioniq isn’t an exciting model in terms of handling, acceleration, or speed. You could potentially drive better cars if you wanted to, but those fellas won’t deliver astonishing 58 mpg (or 24.7 kmpl). Ioniq is available both as hybrid and PHEV models, so you can choose the one that speaks to you more. Either way, you’ll drive a car that will force you to forget about frequent visits to the gas station.
Toyota Prius Prime
We’ve all heard the appraisals about Toyota Prius Prime. It’s a plug-in hybrid model with impressive fuel efficiency. This fella will drive 54 miles per gallon of fuel. Its MPGe (mpg equivalent for electric vehicles) is 133, which is also incredible for such a car. The electric range itself will leave a lot to desire. However, it reduces fuel costs significantly when paired with an ordinary engine.
Hyundai Sonata Hybrid
It’s not a bad idea to consider purchasing Hyundai Sonata Hybrid if you want to save money on gas. If we compare Sonata Hybrid and ordinary Sonata, we’ll see that their performance is quite similar. They both have excellent reliability scores, satisfactory handling, and comfortable seats. By paying extra for the Hybrid, you’ll save around $400 a year on fuel.
Toyota Camry Hybrid/Corolla Hybrid
With 52 mpg, Toyota Camry Hybrid is also a great option. You may have some complaints about its handling and regenerative breaking, however, it still outperforms other available models. If you don’t like Camry Hybrid for some reason, you could also go for the Corolla Hybrid.
Honda Insight
If you want something similar to the Ioniq, Honda Insight could be a solution. It’s less fuel-efficient compared to the Ioniq, yet its performance isn’t any less impressive. Insight is a reliable, functional, and spacious vehicle, but it still drives 52 miles per gallon. Add modern features and advanced assistance systems to the list and you’ll easily see the perks of Insight.
Toyota Prius
Can you imagine a list of good mileage cars without the Prius? – I can’t. The reason is simple – this car delivers 56 mpg effortlessly. Even though certain parts of it could be better, it’s still suitable for daily commuting and city driving. Prius will reduce your fuel costs significantly.
HOW TO CHOOSE GOOD MILEAGE CARS?
To choose fuel efficient cars, you should follow simple steps, including determining your needs, estimating the budget, researching available models, comparing prices, and narrowing the options down. These steps might seem overwhelming, but they aren’t complicated at all in reality.
Think about your needs
It’s impossible to buy the right fuel-efficient vehicle (or any kind of vehicle for that matter) without thinking about your needs. Do you need a budget-friendly car to drive to work every day? Do you need something with a lot of cargo space? Do you live alone or with a family?
Answering these questions will help shift your thoughts from “what I want” to “what I need”. As you start scrutinizing your daily routines, you’ll come up with the type of car that will simplify your life.
Estimate your budget
Once you figure out what you need, it’s time to determine how much you’re willing to spend. Be it financing or paying upfront, you should still know what you can afford. You can find fuel-efficient options in every price range, be it under $10,000 or above $20,000.
Do your research
I can’t emphasize enough the importance of research. Nowadays, it’s unacceptable to make such important and expensive purchases without proper research. Examining reliability scores, reading reviews, and exploring other people’s experiences will help you out a lot. It’s one thing to read EPA (U.S. Environmental Protection Agency) estimates about mpg – it’s another to drive the car in real life.
Finding the most reliable and durable vehicles will pay off in the long run.
Compare prices and functionalities
Comparing the prices of the best gas mileage cars is also a great idea. Don’t forget to take functionalities into account to avoid overspending on models that aren’t worth the money.
If you want to buy a used model, you can check out the Kelly Blue Book price. That way, sellers won’t be able to rip you off.
Select a couple of options and check them out in person
The final step is to select a couple of options and examine them in person. You can take them for a test drive, check out the interior and exterior, and compare them with one another. By trying out selected models, you’ll be able to see whether you truly like them or not. You’ll also get the chance to ask the dealership about additional fuel-efficient features.
DOES MILEAGE AFFECT THE FUEL EFFICIENCY OF THE BEST MILEAGE CAR?
Tumblr media
Higher mileage can affect the fuel efficiency of good mileage cars in certain situations. Even though it won’t happen with every high-mileage vehicle, it does influence the mpg.
We’ve all skipped scheduled maintenance once or twice. We’ve also exceeded the mileage limits of the engine oil. These things might seem like minor missteps, however, they affect the performance of our vehicles. More importantly, they affect the fuel economy. You mightn’t notice the increase in petrol consumption immediately, but you’ll certainly see the changes after a while.
That’s why we might notice that the fuel efficiency gets worse and worse the more we drive.
HOW DO PEOPLE SOLVE MILEAGE-RELATED ISSUES?
To compensate for the worsening fuel economy, some people choose to use the mileage blocker with fuel efficient cars. However, there are some tips and tricks on how to increase car mileage. They activate it to stop recording mileage and, thus, increase the value of the vehicle.
You see, high mileage cars are cheaper compared to their younger counterparts. Their price drops even more if the fuel efficiency is affected. Thus, certain sellers choose to mess with mileage to benefit from selling such vehicles.
You shouldn’t forget that the mileage blocker is better suited for the testing environment. Its only purpose is to help you check the functionalities of your car without adding unnecessary miles. Yes, some people choose to use it for the wrong reasons (which is also understandable given the circumstances), but that doesn’t change the ethical purpose of the mileage blocker.
FINAL TAKEAWAY
Finding the best mileage car isn’t a difficult task anymore – the market is steeped with fuel-efficient options. Each of these cars has its customers, which is why it’s so important to figure out what you need. By following all the necessary steps, you’ll be able to find a perfect option.

One thing gearheads like to do is say regarding which automobiles are much better. When it's not Ford, GM, and also Mopar followers trashing each other, it's fans of American muscle mass cars and trucks slap talking with followers of JDM vehicles. To lots of American efficiency nuts, Japanese cars and trucks are weak. However, you need to remember that not all JDMs are Toyota Corollas.
In the video accompanying this message, we have a street race in between what looks to be a 1968 Chevelle vs an R32 Nissan Skyline GT-R. Currently, stating those two vehicles drag racing each other would certainly make basically anybody laugh, because the Chevelle was constructed for that sort of responsibility so it must win no problem. Nevertheless, both of these autos are quite greatly customized. Actually, while the Chevelle is pushing 550-horsepower, the R32 Godzilla makes 650-hp. Yikes.
Mike Savage New Canaan
The R32 GT-R launched with a fury and won the race right there. Meanwhile, somebody must examine the reflexes for the guy driving the Chevelle. Also, he can not even survive the equipments appropriately. Certainly, this isn't also near to a formal drag race, so before individuals begin grumbling we understand that as well as aren't stating all JDM cars are much faster than all muscle autos-- that would be foolish.
You can see both of these vehicles at work again, although they're not racing each other. A rematch would certainly've been great, since we're not exactly sure who would win if the Chevelle motorist can figure out how to function his auto.
Mike Savage New Canaan
The Nissan Skyline GT-R R32 after that takes on versus what seems a heavily-modded Hudson, possibly a Super 6. The vehicle is running a 540ci large block V8 with 770-hp at hand. However, Godzilla's all-wheel drive is difficult to beat off the line.
A lot more intriguing is seeing the Chevelle tackle an Audi RS4 Avant. That means yet once again the Chevelle is pitted versus an all-wheel-drive monster. It's a close race and we can't tell who won, but the Audi had a minor side off the line. Still, if provided a choice between both, we 'd desire the Chevelle in our garage.

All-NEW 2022 Ford Maverick
The all-new Ford Maverick is the smallest and least expensive pickup on the market. Unlike Ford's larger Ranger and F-Series pickups, which have rugged, real-deal truck chassis, the Maverick is mechanically similar to the Ford Escape crossover, so it's less of a work truck and more of a fun truck. With a standard hybrid engine or an available turbocharged gas engine, the Maverick is also the most fuel-efficient pickup available. And its size makes it ideal for urban environments.
Ford offers the Maverick in three trim levels: XL, XLT, and Lariat. All provide good value, but we recommend the XLT model with the optional FX4 Off-Road package.
The Maverick's standard hybrid powertrain pairs a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine with a small electric motor to produce 191 total system horsepower. Front-wheel drive and a continuously variable automatic transmission are also standard. It's a responsive combination that does a good job of getting the Maverick up to speed. Power delivery is well-managed, and the engine is generally quiet, except under hard acceleration. An optional 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine with 250 hp is paired to an eight-speed automatic transmission with front-wheel or all-wheel drive.
The hybrid doesn't feel under-powered, but those who crave strong performance or the added capability of all-wheel drive will find the 2.0-liter to be worth the sacrifice in fuel economy. The Maverick's power and acceleration are in line with its rivals, including the Hyundai Santa Cruz, Nissan Frontier, and Ford Ranger. All Mavericks handle well, thanks to a car-like ride and responsive steering. Add the FX4 Off-Road package with its range of available drive modes, and you'll be better able to tackle dirt roads and mild trails. The Santa Cruz also delivers a smooth, car-like ride but costs about $4,000 more.
The Maverick can tow up to 4,000 pounds with a maximum payload of 1,500 pounds. That's plenty for most buyers. Its closest rival, the Hyundai Santa Cruz, can tow up to 5,000 pounds with a maximum payload of 1,906 pounds with its optional engine. There is storage everywhere in the Maverick, and its bed is exceptionally versatile though small at just 4.5-feet long. Most small pickups have 5-foot beds, while the Santa Cruz's is just 4 feet long.
The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) estimates that the 2022 Ford Maverick with the 2.0-liter engine will return 26 mpg in combined city and highway driving with front-wheel drive, or 25 mpg combined with all-wheel drive. Those numbers beat the Hyundai Santa Cruz, Nissan Frontier, and Ford Ranger.
Fuel economy figures for the hybrid haven't been finalized, but Ford aims for an EPA-estimated 37 mpg combined. The Maverick would not only be the most fuel-efficient small pickup in the United States by a large margin, but it would also rival the fuel efficiency of small compact cars such as the Honda Civic and Toyota Corolla.

Top 3 Best Exhaust Options for the Toyota GR Corolla 2023+
Tumblr media
1.) AWE Touring and Track Exhaust Suite
After the successful release of the Toyota GR-86 exhaust kit from AWE, these were highly anticipated and long-awaited among the GR Corolla community. The optional Track and Touring conversion kits truly make this an enticing kit to have the ability to quickly convert either your Touring to Track option or vis versa. From the sounds of the video, the Track Edition is ROWDY! It’s very much an opened-up rally car vibe. It’s probably not everyone’s taste, but this might be your best option if you’re in the market for making your GR Corolla every bit of full-tilt. Pair it with a Touring conversion kit, and you will have the best of both worlds! If 4″ tips are big enough in 2024, how about a 4.5″ x 8″ center oval that, quite literally, screams motorsports out the back of your Gazoo Racing hatch.

  2.) HKS Legamax Sports Exhaust 4BA-GZEA14H 2023+
Of course, HKS is going to show up for Toyota’s GR Corolla. When I say show up, they made a damn beautiful exhaust kit! In typical HKS fashion, the Japanese legends brought some magical JDM engineering into the conversation. With this kit, you get their “Exhaust Error Canceller,” and what that does is squash any error code that may triggered by not having any active valves. HKS opted for a dual-tip construction instead of the three-tip OEM design. This left room for some styling by adding a branded HKS bracket that is placed just insight of where the OEM center tip would be placed.

Shop the HKS Legamax Sports Exhaust Kit
Features:
Valve-less, Dual Tail Tip Layout: This exhaust system features a valve-less design and dual tail tip layout. The large-diameter titanium slash tailpipe creates a commanding rear view, leaving a strong impression compared to the stock exhaust.
Sturdy and Aesthetic Bracket Placement: Brackets connecting the left and right silencers are positioned at the center notch and feature the HKS logo, ensuring both visual appeal and structural integrity.
Includes “EXHAUST ERROR CANCELLER”: HKS provide an “EXHAUST ERROR CANCELLER” to prevent error codes when the valve is not in use, allowing for a worry-free experience.
Smooth and Enjoyable Driving: Experience a comfortable and noise-free ride at low revs. The overall sound quality is robust, delivering a deep bass sound that intensifies as the revs increase, providing a powerful auditory experience.
The tail features a powerful 119 titanium tail with two left and right-hand tailpipes, creating a seamless and bulb-less layout.
A bracket is expertly positioned at the factory center tail section, with the HKS logo laser engraved for added aesthetics. The HKS logo is visible from the bumper notch in the rear view, showcasing the installation of the HKS exhaust.
While the stock exhaust valve opens to reduce exhaust resistance at high RPM, this product is valve-less and incorporates a straight structure inside the silencer, resulting in a 40% reduction in exhaust resistance compared to the stock valve when open.
We’ve achieved precise control of sound volume through meticulous sound engineering. Even without valve-less valves, there is no muffled sound in the mid-range RPM range, providing a comfortable driving experience. Enjoy a sporty sound throughout the entire RPM range, from low to high revs.
To avoid any issues related to valve-less operation, we provide the “EXHAUST ERROR CANCELER” with your purchase. This ensures a stress-free and worry-free driving experience.
3.) Remark Catback Exhaust Elite Spec Quad Tip
Coming in with the added tip is Remark with their TITANIUM QUAD TIP Elite Spec exhaust kit for the GR Corolla. I’m not sure if there was some extra spice up-stream of this exhaust on their test car, but this exhaust sounds absolutely incredible! Sizing up to 3″ diameter and 4″ tips seems to really open this system up. We can also appreciate this kit utilizing the stock valves from Toyota.
Something to note from Remark – “*You will be using factory donut gasket and spring-bolts where connects to factory OEM piping.”

All-in-all the three of these exhaust options for the Toyota GR Corolla are all great. They are each unique in their own ways and we truly believe you will be on track to getting your GR to sound the way you want with any of these options! We know some more exciting options are in the pipeline, so we will keep you updated with the latest and greatest for this hot hatch!

CORONA - Did Toyota BEAT DETROIT at our own GAME???
Today we're talking to Eric about his awesome 1967 Toyota Corona
It's shocking to realize that, when the U.S.-spec Corona arrived for 1965, Toyota's American division sold fewer than 21,000 vehicles here that year. Even that was a boost—Toyota's sales in the first half of the 1960s were dismal. But the Corona, engineered for American driving conditions, fueled the company's rapid growth: In 1968, the year Toyota introduced the soon-to-be-best-selling subcompact Corolla, the automaker sold 72,554 vehicles. With help from the new small sibling, Toyota's U.S. lineup accounted for nearly 124,500 vehicle sales in 1969, and more than 200,000 in 1970, the last year this generation of Corona was offered.
The U.S. market variant of the Corona, introduced here the following year as a 1966 model, was improved primarily with a larger, 1,900-cc "R"-family engine. Under a forward-tilting hood, this longitudinally mounted OHV four-cylinder featured an 88 x 78 mm (3.46 x 3.07 inch) bore and stroke, and 8:1 compression ratio. It used a downdraft two-barrel carburetor with automatic choke to make a respectable 90 hp and 110 lb-ft of torque. That output was enough to afford the Corona a 95-mph top speed when equipped with a three-speed manual gearbox, or 90 mph when fitted with a two-speed "Toyoglide" automatic transmission, the latter being based on GM's Powerglide.
Braking was American-style too: four-wheel drums that measured 9 inches in diameter and sat behind 13-inch wheels mounting 5.60-13 tires. The suspension design was similarly conventional, with unequal-length A-arms and coil springs in front and semi-elliptic leaf springs supporting a semi-floating hypoid live axle in the rear.
Although the Toyota was priced a bit higher than its German competitor, with its modern design, 10.1 cubic feet of trunk space, and the availability of four doors, this model would prove much more accommodating than the VW. It had the Volkswagen beat on standard features, too, including a padded dashboard, visor vanity mirror, full carpeting, a fresh air heater/defroster, two-speed windshield wipers, and quad headlamps. Costing extra on the VW, but included on the Toyota, were vinyl upholstery, a driver's-side armrest, a cigarette lighter, chrome wheel trim rings, undersealing, and twin horns. Other options common to both cars—including a radio—were typically the same price, or cheaper, for buyers of the Japanese car, and Americans could even spec their Coronas with port-installed air conditioning, a real luxury for a small import.
