Oil is Thicker Then Blood (Part 69)
It seemed like the moment Tera got her fangs she became obsessed with using them.
It had been multiple weeks of wrangling her to let things go, to not utterly destroy every blanket, pillow, toy, or random chunks of metal she found. She was like a puppy, using her fangs as an extra hand to feel out the world with her mouth.
Both Uzi's and N's hands were covered in tiny bite marks, Tera would never truly try to bite either of them, but that didn't mean she didn't nibble and knaw at their hands whenever she got the chance, like love bites, only slightly more painful.
It didn't help that Uzi's mood was already on an extremely short emotional fuse. She was constantly tired, her back ached and she was utterly sick of getting sick. More was coming out of her then she was putting in, and yet she was still gaining weight.
Month two of her pregnancy was looking to be a worse rehash of month one, where she was decidedly less worried and emotionally vulnerable and much more pissed beyond measure.
V was also sticking around more.
It was weird.
They lived side by side, so they'd always seen quite a bit of her, even if it was only passing conversation as they went to and from wherever they were going. But now V was inviting herself over. Offering to help with Tera, or asking if she needed oil, or something to eat, or just… being considerate.
Uzi wasn't sure what exactly was going on with her. But V also refused to take no for an answer. So… she was just hanging around, mostly dozing off on the couch or lazily playing with Tera, who's favorite game was now ‘tug of war’.
“Are you gonna tell me why you suddenly want to be here? Or are you just going to keep me guessing?” Uzi finally asked after the third day that week V had miraculously gotten into the apartment without her knowledge.
“Nope.” V hummed back, the ‘p’ popping as she went back to playing with the newly energized solver kit, tugging on a rope toy made for dogs.
Despite V's normal antagonistic behavior, her presence was actually incredibly… welcome.
Taking care of Tera, doing the household chores. And trying to decipher what the hell was up with Doll, before had been no problem. Was starting to get a little difficult, in part because of Tera's new penchant for destruction, but her core felt heavy and sluggish, stuttering as it used quite a bit of power to combine her and N's code together. Her core was even lighter now, becoming a light shade of lavender instead of a deep violet.
And having someone around to help, even if Uzi couldn't decipher the reason why, was not something she was going to complain about.
At this very moment though, she was washing bottles in preparation to refill them, while also replacing the rubber caps, as now they were full of bite marks and rips.
“Sooo where do you get the oil?” V asked, for the first time genuine curiosity in her voice. And Uzi didn't even turn around to answer as she scrubbed the inside of another bottle.
“Uh… the nursery?”
“No. Not the oil you drink, the oil she drinks. N was saying something about her oil needing to be filtered or, whatever.”
“Me?”
“… Do you like… prick yourself?”
“What? No. I have a side pannel that opens… did you not know?” Now Uzi turned to look at her, finding her holding Tera up in the air with one hand, away from the rope toy.
“No. Why should I know? I didn't pay too much attention to who I was killing.” V always had the tone like she didn't care or wasn't interested, but it really wasn't fooling Uzi anymore, if V truly wasn't interested, she wouldn't have asked.
“Yup. Every worker drone has a side panel, has a oil port, a charge port, everything we need to take care of kids. N doesn't have one, we checked. So you probably don't either.” She explained, thankful that it's the last time she'd have to explain this.
“Huh.”
Then there was silence again, Uzi trying to get a particularly stubborn stain off a bottle and going to town at it, growling slightly as if that would help scare it away.
When her head suddenly felt like lead.
She leaned over the sink as the feeling of extreme dizziness washed over her, her core skipping beats as her vison went blurry and her hearing faded into muffled sounds.
She dropped the bottle and it clattered against the floor, bouncing away on the tile. And gripped the side of the sink, feeling herself becoming unsteady as her legs wobbled and her stomach turned exactly once.
Then she began to fall to the side, unable to keep her balance, vison blinking out, bracing to hit the hard floor with what little withering control she had over her body.
Only she never did, something had caught her halfway down, cradling her gently and purring softly, she almost thought it was N, with how gentle they were, but he wouldn't be home for a couple more hours.
When her head stopped spinning and her core went back to its normal tempo, the first thing she felt was the plush texture of the couch, not the cold tile of the floor. And the feeling of a warm hand on her forehead.
And when her eyelights opened, she realized it was V. Holding her head to check her temperature.
What. The Fuck.
“V?”
“Oh good, you're fine.” She immediately removed her hand, but still hovering over her as V looked down at her, looking as blasé as ever.
“Why are you being so nice?”
“Why are you complaining?” V quipped back, putting a hand in her hip as Uzi sat up, and shook the lead from her head.
Uzi sighed, grumbling as she truly, honestly, did not have the energy to argue with V over her weirdness, but she guessed she shouldn't complain, as he had just been saved from hitting the floor.
“Oh whatever, thanks for catching me… I guess.” Uzi went to get back up, but V pushed her back into the couch with a decent amount of force, dropping Tera into Uzi's lap before walking over to the sink herself.
“Mmmhm.” Was all V said, before beginning to finish cleaning out the bottles herself.
With another long-suffering, confused sigh, Uzi took V's previous position of playing tug of war with Tera, letting V do whatever the hell she wanted.

A Special Kind Of Pen (My Hero Academia)
Tumblr media
HAPPY BIRTHDAY NYM!!!!! :D To the amazing @intheticklecloset! Thank you for being such a great friend to me; you never fail to make me smile and I'm beyond grateful to have the chance to befriend you! I hope you enjoy this humble birthday gif featuring your boys Shindeku! :D
Summary: Midoriya's love for keeping a notebook is something Shinsou supports completely. However- the scratchy pen he uses however- not so much.
Midoriya had two great loves in his life: Shinsou, and his notebook.
No but really- the green haired hero kept that thing on him 24/7. Anytime they had hero work to do and opportunity was there, he’d whip it out and fill out a section. Post work- Midoriya was filling out the day’s events on the bus ride home, doodled in pictures and everything. Sometimes if they were lucky he could get a picture with whatever hero they ran into. He’d stick those in his notebook as well.
Shinsou couldn’t complain. There was something so joyful about the way Midoriya worked in it; using the scrapbook kit Shinsou got him for christmas to really bring his analysis journal to life. He scratched and scribbled away for a good hour most nights; occasionally mumbling to himself the things he wrote.
But that’s just it.
The scratching.
Scritch, scritch, scritch, scritch, scritch.
The pen Midoriya used was old- really old. It was also something he treasured- likely the reason being “Vintage All Might merch”- though if you asked Shinsou it looked more like the pens that came in a happy meal toy. It worked fine for the most part, but it made the most dreadful noise against paper. Sometimes Shinsou could hear it even when Midoriya wasn’t around.
He’d found ways around it; headphones in with music playing, watching TV while Midoriya worked in another room, etc. He even had a gentle but firm conversation with Midoriya about the pen- “Could you at least use a different one during the night?” he asked.
His boyfriend was a sweetheart and worked with his compromises, and for the most part; things were fine.
Today though. Today was truly testing him.
Scritch, scritch, scritch, scritch, scritch.
Shinsou had been staring at the same equation for the past five minutes, the sound of that damn pen far too distracting. His usual go-to’s weren’t there; his headphones needed to charge and TV was far too distracting while doing homework. Not to mention he hadn’t seen Midoriya all day today and didn’t want to waste a second apart; meaning they decided to do their work together in their bedroom.
Together- and that freaking pen.
“Oh man- please don’t die on me now.” Midoriya tapped it against his palm a few times, trying to get the ink to flow. His notebook- usually fairly pigmented, was faded; a sign the pen was on its last leg. “Come on- just a few more pages!”
“Why don’t you put it in a case? Really memorialize it.” Shinsou offered, trying not to let his giddiness show in his voice.
“What- no way! This is too precious to never use again. OH! I have ink refills!” Midoriya smiled as he put down the pen, hopping out of the bed and running to the hallway closet. “I can change the ink out and it’ll be good as new!”
“...steller.” Shinsou sighed when his boyfriend left, glaring at the pen. The design was starting to fade, All Might’s smiling face looking less defined by the day. Such an old pen- it wasn’t like there weren’t more out there! All Might’s legacy lived on despite his retirement; people still make tons of stuff with him all over it- including pens!
Staring at the villainous weapon, Shinsou made a bold decision.
~~~
“Okay- I got the ink; I thought I had more but I ran out. Luckily Yaoyorozu was still up so she made me another…” His words trailed off as he sat down, realizing his pen was missing. “Huh…Hito? Have you seen my pen?”
“Last I’ve seen it was in your notebook. Did it roll away?” Shinsou didn’t look up from his own work, but he did peek as Midoriya checked around himself. “Do you want another pen?”
“No- I can find it.” Midoriya looked beneath the bed, patted smooth the wrinkles of the blankets, patted himself down. Nothing. “Where’d it go? I literally just had it!”
“Strange.” Shinsou nodded, checking around himself too. “It’s okay- the thing was dying anyway. We can get you a new one.”
“.....” Midoriya blinked, then he looked at him. “Hitoshi.”
Oh no. “Yes?” He asked innocently.
“Hito- my shining star.” Midoriya climbed back into the bed, tossing his notebook shut as he crept over. “My blinding moon, the love of my life.” Oh damn- he’s laying it on thick with the pet names! Hitoshi felt his collar heat up as he was pushed back against the pillows. “My star crossed love. Did you take my pen?”
“Why would I do that?” Shinsou asked, hating how shaky his voice sounded but hoping it’d come off from how close they were. “I have plenty.”
“Hito.” Midoriya was sitting on him now, easily taking his wrists in hand before pinning them above his head. “Darling.”
“Izuku-
“Did you take my pen?” His free hand raised up, fingers wiggling. Shinsou held his breath. “Last chance.”
“I..did not.” He declared, fate made. Midoriya only smiled.
Then the tickles began.
“AH! Ahhahahahhahha, I-Iihihihihizuku!” Shinsou jumped when a hand found his belly, pushing past his gengar hoodie and tickling the skin beneath. “Aheahhhahahhaha, I dihihihiidn’t I sweahahahhare!”
“Sure you didn’t. That’s why you’re laughing right? Cause you’re being truthful?” Midoriya teased, really going for the soft spots along his torso as he dragged his fingers against his belly. “I’m SO convinced!”
“Ahehahahahhaha, yohohoohoohu’re so sahhhahhahssy tohohoohooday! Gehahhahahaha, wahhhaait- wahhhahait doohohohohohn’t!” Shinsou arched when that dastardly hand moved to his side, walking up and down his ribs with ease. “Nohohoohot the rihhihihihibs!”
“Tell me where my pen is~” Midoriya requested, focusing his efforts on the middle set knowing how ticklish it was for Shinsou. “That’s all you gotta do. Then this will all be over!”
“Nehehehehehhehver! Wahhahait I meahhehehaha- I doohohohn’t knohohoohow AH!” Shinsou all but squealed when Midoriya switched from prodding to pinching, sending a new feeling of ticklishness throughout him. “Ihiihiihihzukuhuhuhuhuu!”
“Never? So you DID take it!” Midoriya shook his head, more amused than anything. “Where’d you hide it, Hito? Is it here? Here?” His hand was everywhere- prodding at each side of his ribs as he “searched” for his pen. “Did you hide it in your ribcage? Or is it beneath your arm?”
“Aheahhahhahahahha! Ihihihihzuku, don’t you dahHAHAHAHHAHAHRE!” Shinsou all but screamed when his armpit was tickled, pulling at his boyfriend’s grip reflexively. “FIIIHIIHIHINE I’LL THEHHEHEHEHELL YOOHOOHOOHOU!”
Satisfied, Midoriya stopped his tickles, waiting patiently.
Gasping for air, Shinsou ran a hand over his flushed face, giggling through greedy breaths. Then he reached behind him, pulling the pen out from beneath the pillow. “Thehehehere…”
“Was that so hard?” Midoriya teased, taking his pen back. He leaned down and pecked Shinsou on the lips before crawling back to his original spot, taking off the bottom of his pen to change the ink.
“Eheh..heheh…Why do you insist on using that pen anyway?” Shinsou asked when he could, sitting up so he could watch. “I know it’s All Might, but you could easily have Yaoyorozu make you an identical pen; one that doesn’t scratch the paper.”
“...you really don’t remember?” Midoriya looked up after he changed the ink out, giving it a few clicks with a nod. “You gave it to me.”
“I did? When?” Shinsou blinked, surprised at the revelation. Then it hit him.
~~~
“Check it out!” A guy in his class- Shinsou couldn’t remember his name- ran up to him with three bags. They were bright and colorful- the back featuring an array of pens with various prohero designs. “I got these on sale! They’re mystery bags!”
“Oo, can I have one?” A girl ran up. The guy didn’t hesitate handing her one. Then he smiled at Shinsou, giving him the other. “I only really want Best Jeanist. If you get him- we’re trading!”
“Oh I…” Shinsou looked down at the package. That’s all it took for the guy and girl to run off, him hooting about getting Jeanist and her swooning over her new Hawks pen.
“I guess I’ll take it.” He opened it and peeked, brows raised.
~~~
“I knew you loved All Might- you were the first person to come to mind when I opened it.” Shinsou laughed at the memory. What was that- a year ago? They weren’t dating yet- but the way Midoriya’s face lit up upon receiving such a gift, the tears of joy staining his eyes and the death grip he gave Shinsou when he hugged him; it was all a core memory he’d never want to lose.
“I know! I was so shocked when you gave it to me- I’ve used it everyday since.” Midoriya twirled it in his hands, expression fond. “It’s a little scratchy- I think the twisty part nicked- but I could never get rid of it. It was the first present you’ve ever given me and the second best gift I’ve ever received.”
“Second? What’s the first?” Shinsou raised a brow. Midoriya only smiled.
“Your heart.”
Shinsou flushed, eyes widening. Then he smiled- a soft one that melted Midoriya on the spot. “Oh you…come here.” He pulled the other close, kicking away their notebooks and homework for a proper cuddling session. “I love you.”
“I love you too.” Midoriya leaned up and kissed him.
They could do homework some other time.
Thanks for reading! And a happy birthday to you, Nym :)
Quick n dirty Hurricane post
Hurricane Shopping List
Food:
The government will tell you that you need 3 days of food, you need at least a week. After Ian we were flooded for about 4 days and had no power for 8. You want non perishables and you want tasty non perishables, get things you and your family like. Keep your eye out for sales through the year to keep a good stash.if you don’t have a grill,  Get a mini charcoal grill so you can also still cook
Soups
tuna and other canned meats
Ramen (fun, not nutritious)
Snacks like chips and crackers, salsa!*
Single serving sauce packs (go hog wild at fast food places)
Cereal
Fresh fruit
Pasta sauce and pasta
Bread and shelf stable toppings like jelly* and peanut butter
Treats! It sucks, get some gummy bears, get BEER!
Instant coffee
*these aren't technically shelf stable,but yes they are lol, at least for a few days, sugar and acid are both preservatives, if it looks funny, don't eat it, but they'll be fine for a few days
Everything in your freezer will be good too, at least for a while. Eat everything in your fridge first, but after a few days, if you are going to lose everything in your freezer anyway, open it up and start using meats etc in there.
Water:
There are 4 categories for water, Drinking, cooking, cleaning, and flushing. ** if you do not have hot water, you need to be using bleach or vinegar or everything that gross. Hot water is our best friend and if we do not have her we need to kill every germ, without proper plumbing there are bad germs everywhere.
Drinking: half gallon  to gallon per person per day
Cooking: A gallon per day, more if you have a larger family
These two need to be in sanitized containers intended for water storage, so bottled water, or food grade 5 gallon containers, tractor supply has good ones, or the huge water jugs at the grocery store.
Cleaning***: as much as you can, personally i start saving every 2 liter, OJ bottle, milk jug etc from about January to hurricane season so i can fill them all up when a storm is on the way. This doubles as you-cleaning water, so the more the better
Flushing: as much as physically possible. Fill up every tub, every sink, fill up your trash cans. I am 100% serious you WILL run out of flushing water before anything else. Literally as much as possible.
Misc items:
Battery banks, whether proper banks, or your laptop to use as a bank
A full tank of gas, never go under half a tank during hurricane season
This radio is great
Proper first aid kit (you should already have one tbh)
Any medications you need, check your state laws to see if you can get emergency prescription refills
Toys, books, any kind of entertainment really, it gets boring, couldnt imagine being a toddler.
Extra pet food
Baby wipes
Extra period products
Corn starch is a decent dry shampoo
General tips:
Find a radio station with a morning show, find several. There was a group in my area that was broadcasting 24/7 taking calls from people with trucks and people who needed help or medicine. They saved lives.
Park your cars as high as possible, and as close to your house as you can
It is so much better to feel silly with all this stuff than to be caught off guard
Lock your pets in a non carpeted room if you can.
Do laundry!!!!!
Shower and scrub every square inch a few hours before the storm starts, wash your hair!!!
Have 2 weeks of undies
Check on your neighbors
DO NOT GO INTO FLOOD WATERS WHY DO PEOPLE DO THIS THIS IS HOW YOU GET HEPATITIS
Have a plan for if it floods, have important docs and some food in a bag ready to go. If you are in an attic without a way to break through the roof, you will drown.
Afternoon Day 2
First | PREV | Next
-----------------
💜
Donnie practically threw Mikey out to take over for the meet & greet. Because while it wouldn't be very different from the interviews, at least they wouldn't have to initiate the conversation.
Plus they were able to get a quick bite to eat, and a refill on their coffee.
Donnie reset the background to be the beach set, and set a beach chair model overtop the chair in the hotel room.
The afternoon wasn't very eventful, sure there was some gushing because a fan had brought handmade Shelldon and River plush toys, and some gifts that were dropped off.
Donnie had to more interesting photo ops if only because they kept summoning constructs to make things more unique.
Though when having the news of the morning relayed to them, he almost felt jealous that their time slot wasn't as eventful. The most they got was some jabs about the board shorts on their model.
💙
Leo was glad to finally be getting to shop for himself.
Though he was getting a bit annoyed with people stopping for pictures then having small arguments over who he was dressed as... he didn't have the heart to tell them he was literally just borrowing his boyfriends clothes.
Though he go luck with some comic finds, a Jupiter Jim figure, and a model kit for a obscure scifi series.
Then popped back into the Artist Alley to grab some cute Pride Pins he saw earlier where switch off with Mikey.
Now if only he could remember which table they were at, or who was next to them.
He eventually found them, and found a few adorable keychains, buttons, and pins along the way.
🧡
Mikey was still a little miffed with Donnie kicking him out of room, but he's glad to be back at his table. Though getting the news about the morning from CJ, and seeing the video well.
He felt conflicted to learn about the person who cause a commotion, but what could he do. The person was already taken away, and apparently videos and stories are kinda trending on the art community social media at the moment. Ouch to their reputation if they had one.
Though he did get some questions about the morning, and he wondered if people were just buying his stuff because of the drama that happened.
But either way it seemed like the second he put the quick draw commissions sign back out, a line appears out of nowhere. So he was pretty busy until the end of the day, and they actually sold out of a good number of items.
Other than that things were fairly standard, kinda busy, but not bad. He even got to buy a few things on his way to the table so that was a win at least.
Raph felt a bit awkward helping in the booth, but he lost the game to choose who would take over for April, mainly just the space behind the table wasn't very big, and he felt like he was just getting in Cass' way.
So the first thing he did was ask if she wanted him to grab anything, like to eat of from the tank?
Cass wasn't annoyed by this, but did give Raph a list of snacks, drinks, and a few items from the tank, and a couple things to buy from booths nearby.
Though once he got back, he was made to take over for a half hour while Cass took a break. And while it wasn't that bad, he felt a bit nervous about messing something up.
Mostly Raph worried about messing up with the e-payment system, since he wasn't familiar with how it works, though he felt more confident once ha leaned over to ask Dee for help.
So he stuck around to help, and Cass didn't mind him being in the way a bit. Because at one point she perched on his shoulder to glare down at someone who offended her. Since she wasn't allowed to attack people, she could at least intimidate them from a high place.
Give the illusion that she would pounce on them, but she wouldn't... hopefully.
~▪~▪~▪~▪~▪~▪~
Once the Dealers Hall closed Leo and Donnie met up to grab some Dinner for everyone while the others packed up for the day.
There was a bit of an argument over what to get, so they grabbed some food from from a few places. If only because of multiple messages in the group chat about not getting only pizza.
Once they all met up in one of the hotel rooms, they started going over a game plan for the next day since they needed to plan how to pack everything left up quickly.
Plus with it being the last day they all wanted to do some last minute shopping before things close up, so after a some discussion, updating the schedule, and double checking the posts on their M&G schedule.
There were no meet and greets on the last day, though someone was going to swap with Mikey for an hour or so, so that he can buy things.
Though there was some entertainment from April telling them about some of the people she interviewed that day. Which then brought up the question about if they needed to do those the next day.
Thankfully not, since the Staff wanted to more focus on getting things wrapped up, and only ask that the drones get some good footage from the last day.
"Here's to getting through the last day, mostly uneventfully."
-------------------
Masterpost
Now to figure out how to write out the last post or 2 from this series, and that if I ever do this again, it will probably be as a comic or something.
Ultimate Comfort Kit Guide <3
As an ADHD girlie who suffers from anxiety and panic attacks, I want to share with you some great items that are part of my comfort kit because, neurodivergent fellows or not, staying home or traveling, I want to give you some tips to build your own:
Noise cancelling headphones: to be specific, mine have a wire because I'm not a big fan of wireless headphones because I'd always forget to charge them, so I got a pair of noise cancelling headphones with two wires and its little bag to carry it everywhere on Amazon.
Tumblr media
Favourite stuffed toy: mine is a banana minion because my dead cousin loved minions and I feel her close when I hold it by my side.
Tumblr media
Water bottle: since I drink a lot of water, I bought this 1lt metal water bottle. It's a bit hard to carry it around, but at least I'm sure I have enough water for a long time and I won't have to refill it immediatamently (I tried another water bottle my uncle got for me, but I had to refill it every five minutes). You can also bring a bottle of your favourite drink, along with the water.
Tumblr media
Pillow: I have a favourite pillow. It's a Harry Potter pillow I got when I went to Primark for the first time in Italy and it's the best pillow ever. It's so soft , such high quality material and it's so comfortable. I love it and it's part of my comfort kit.
Tumblr media
Blankets: along with my pillow, I always carry this Nightmare Before Christmas blanket my parents got me a long time ago.
Tumblr media
Medicines/supplements organizer: let's make this clear.. it's a must have because this item changed my life. I sometimes forget to carry my medicines when I travel or leave home to go somewhere and this is good because you can take it on your flights in case you travel often and you can take a single box for each day of the week to carry it with you like if you need to take some medicines right after dinner and you're at the restaurant.
Lavender spray mist: I spray it all over my bed before to go to sleep or when I feel very anxious or stressed. It's easy to carry everywhere and suitable for blankets and bedsheets.
Tumblr media
Salt lamp: I have one at home, but I'm planning to buy a smaller one that powers with batteries to carry in my backpack during trips.
Tumblr media
More things I suggest are: box of tissues; phone/tablet/ipad/laptop + chargers; Bath & Body Works hand sanitizer with case to hang to your bag/backpack; sunflower badge to wear around your neck if you own one; fidgeting toys or activities like coloring books with crayons; your favourite books or comics to read; anti nausea wristbands; vicks vaporub jar or vapopads; essential oil diffuser with your favourite oils; whatever you may need or whatever makes you comfortable (they don't call it 'comfort kit' for nothing) <3
Let me know in the comments or my ask box what you guys think of this guide, what's in your own comfort kits or if you have any items to suggest.
If you like history, you should check out the website for "Perspectives on History," the newsmagazine of the American Historical Association. More specifically, I've been enjoying a recurring column called "Everything Has a History," which provides the histories of everything from 20-sided die to elevator sounds to Big Mouth Billy Bass, and much more.
The latest entry, written by Sherri Sheu, the Haas Curatorial Fellow at the Science History Institute in Philadelphia and an at-large member of the AHA Council, is about the "Johnny Horizon Environmental Test Kit," a toy for budding environmental scientists manufactured by Parker Brothers in 1971 that capitalized on the growing interest in environmentalism and ecology that was ignited after the first Earth Day in April, 1970.
Sheu describes the kit:
The kit contained 10 experiments for children to test the air and water in their neighborhoods. Youngsters could take samples from their local waterways and culture a petri dish to test for fecal coliform contamination or dip pH strips to test acidity and alkalinity. They could test smoke density in the air or use sticky paper to find and count air particles. In the spirit of the scientific method, the experiments could be repeated multiple times, with refill kits also available for purchase.
The Last Mojave Indian Barbie
Wired to her display box were a pair of one-size-fits-all-Indians stiletto moccasins, faux turquoise earrings, a dream catcher, a copy of Indian Country Today, erasable markers for chin and forehead tattoos, and two six-packs of mini magic beer bottles—when tilted up, the bottles turned clear, when turned right-side-up, the bottles refilled. Mojave Barbie repeatedly drank Ken and Skipper under their pink plastic patio table sets. Skipper said she drank like a boy. Mojave Barbie secretly hated the color of her new friends' apricot skins, how they burned after riding in Ken's convertible Camaro with the top down, hated how their micro hairbrushes tangled and knotted in her own thick, black hair, which they always wanted to braid. There wasn't any diet cola in their cute little ice chests, and worst of all, Mojave Barbie couldn't find a single soft spot on her body to inject her insulin. It had taken years of court cases, litigation, letters from tribal council members, testimonials from CHR nurses, and a few diabetic comas just to receive permission to buy the never-released hypodermic needle accessory kit—before that, she'd bought most on the Japanese black market—Mattel didn't like toying around with the possibility of a Junkie Barbie. Mojave Barbie had been banned from the horse stables and was no longer invited to dinner, not since she let it slip that when the cavalry came to Fort Mojave, the Mojaves ate a few horses. It had happened, and she only let it slip after Skipper tried to force her to admit the Mojave Creation was just a myth: It's true. I'm from Spirit Mountain, Mojave Barbie had said. No, you're not, Skipper had argued. You came from Asia. But Mojave Barbie wasn't missing much—they didn't have lazy man's bread or tortillas in the Barbie Stovetop to Tabletop Deluxe Kitchen. In fact, they only had a breakfast set, so they ate the same two sunny-side-up eggs and pancakes every meal. Each night after dinner, Mojave Barbie sneaked from the guesthouse—next to the tennis courts and Hairtastic Salon—to rendezvous with Ken, sometimes in the collapsible Glamour Camper, but most often in the Dream Pool. She would yenni Ken all night long. (Yenni was the Mojave word for sex, explained a culturally informative booklet included in Mojave Barbie's box, along with an authentic frybread recipe, her Certificate of Indian Blood, a casino player's card, and a voided per capita check.) They took precautions to prevent waking others inside the Dream House—Mojave Barbie's tan webbed hand covering Ken's always-open mouth muffled his ejaculations. One night, after drinking a pint of Black Velvet disguised as a bottle of suntan lotion, Ken felt especially playful. Ken was wild, wanted to sport his plastic Stetson and pleather holsters, wanted Mojave Barbie to wear her traditional outfit, still twist-tied to her box. She agreed and donned her mesquite-bark skirt and went shirtless except for strands of blue and white glass beads that hung down in coils around her neck. The single feather in her hair tickled Ken's fancy. He begged Mojave Barbie to wrap her wide, dark hips around him in the “Mojave Death Grip,” an indigenous love maneuver that made him thankful for his double-jointed pelvis. (A Mojave Death Grip Graphic How-To Manual was once included in the culturally informative booklet, but a string of disjointed legs and a campaign by the Girl Scouts of America led to a recall.) Ken pointed his wooden six-shooter and chased her up the Dream Slide. The weight of the perfectly proportioned bodies sent the pool accessory crashing to the patio. Every light in every window painted itself on as the Dream House swung open from the middle, giving all inside a sneak peak at naked Ken's hard body and naked Mojave Barbie gripping his pistol, both mid-yenni and dripping wet. Ken was punished by Mattel's higher-ups, had his tennis racket, tuxedo, Limited Edition Hummer, scuba and snorkel gear, aviator sunglasses, Harley, windjammer sailboard, his iPad and iPhone confiscated. Mojave Barbie had been caught red-handed and bare-breasted. She was being relocated—a job dealing blackjack at some California casino. On her way out the gate, she kicked the plastic cocker spaniel, which fell sideways but never pulled its tongue in or even barked—she felt an ache behind her 39 EE left breast for her rez dog, which had been discontinued long ago. Mojave Barbie tossed a trash bag filled with clothes and accessories into her primered Barbie Happy Family Volvo, which she'd bought at a yard sale. The car had hidden beneath a tarp in the Dream House driveway since she got there. She climbed through the passenger door over to the driver's seat, an explosion of ripped vinyl, towels, and duct tape. She pumped and pumped the gas pedal, clicked and clicked the ignition, until the jalopy fired up. Mojave Barbie rolled away, her mismatched hubcaps wobbling and rattling, a book of yellow WIC coupons rustling on the dash, and a Joy Harjo tape melted in the tape deck blaring, I'm not afraid to be hungry. I'm not afraid to be full. Mom and Dad Barbie, Grandma Barbie, Skipper, and Ken stood on the Dream House balcony and watched Mojave Barbie go. Grandma Barbie tilted at the waist whispering to Mom Barbie, They should've kept that one in the cupboard. Dad Barbie piped in, Yep, it's always a gamble with those people. Mom Barbie was silent, hoping the purpling, bruise-like marks the size of mouths circling Ken's neck were not what she thought they were: hickies, or, as the culturally informative booklet explained, a “Mojave necklace.” Skipper complained to Ken that Mojave Barbie had flipped them off as she drove out the wrought-iron gates, which, of course, locked behind her with a clang. Ken fingered the blue bead in his pocket and reassured Skipper, Mojave Barbie was probably waving goodbye—with hands like that, you can never be sure.
 What are the top travel hacks
Frequent travelers can plan their vacations quickly and efficiently, thanks to the insights they've gained from past experiences. These valuable insights, known as travel hacks, help them manage their journeys, budgets, and deals more effectively. But what about less experienced travelers? They can also take advantage of these hacks without having to spend years on the road. Here’s an article that highlights 21 travel hacks you should know in 2023.
Download Offline Maps: Save maps for offline use to navigate without relying on internet access. This is especially helpful in foreign countries where connectivity may be limited. Google Maps allows you to download specific areas by zooming in on the desired location and selecting the download option. This ensures you can access maps even in airplane mode.
Use Google Translate: Overcome language barriers by downloading Google Translate before your trip. The app offers text, voice, and camera translation features, making communication easier in foreign countries.
Carry a Universal Travel Adapter: Different countries have various plug types, so invest in a quality universal adapter that works worldwide. Many adapters now come with USB ports for added convenience.
Save on Flight Tickets: Sign up for flight alerts on travel aggregators to track price drops and promotions. Being flexible with travel dates and destinations can lead to significant savings.
Pack a Travel First-Aid Kit: Carry essential medications like painkillers, antihistamines, and stomach remedies in a small pouch. This ensures you’re prepared for minor health issues without needing to visit a doctor abroad.
Pack Light: Avoid overpacking to make your travels easier and avoid extra baggage fees. Light luggage also allows you to use public transport more conveniently.
Use Packing Cubes: Organize your luggage efficiently with packing cubes. These lightweight organizers make packing and unpacking more manageable.
Bring Extra Chargers: Always have an extra phone charger and a portable charger in your carry-on. This ensures your devices stay powered, especially during long travel days.
Learn Basic Phrases: Learn a few key phrases in the local language to enhance your communication with locals and enrich your travel experience.
Use a VPN on Public Wi-Fi: Protect your data when using public Wi-Fi by connecting through a VPN. This secures your personal information and keeps your online activity private.
Take Advantage of Free Walking Tours: Many cities offer free walking tours guided by locals. These tours provide cultural insights and help you familiarize yourself with a new city at little to no cost.
Carry Noise-Cancelling Headphones: These headphones block out unwanted noise, providing a more peaceful travel experience, whether on a plane, train, or bus.
Pack a Change of Clothes in Your Carry-On: In case your luggage is delayed or lost, having a change of clothes in your carry-on ensures you’re not left stranded without essentials.
Travel During Shoulder Season: Traveling just before or after peak season can save you money on flights and accommodations while avoiding large crowds.
Traveling with Kids: When traveling with children, pack their favorite books, toys, and snacks. Book direct flights matching their sleep schedule, and research kid-friendly activities in advance.
Keep Offline Copies of Travel Documents: Save offline copies of essential documents like passports, visas, and tickets. Email these documents to yourself for easy access.
Don’t Skip Travel Insurance: Investing in travel insurance can save you from potential hassles related to health issues, theft, or trip disruptions.
Carry a Refillable Water Bottle: This eco-friendly option saves money and reduces plastic waste. Many cities, especially in Europe, have free water fountains for refilling.
Get Credit Cards with Lounge Access: Travel credit cards offering free lounge access can save you money on food and drinks while providing a comfortable waiting area at airports.
Exercise to Combat Jet Lag: Light exercise, such as yoga or resistance training, can help you adjust to new time zones and reduce the effects of jet lag.
Avoid Airport Currency Exchanges: Airport exchange rates are often unfavorable. Exchange currency at a bank or use a no-fee credit or debit card for better rates.
Coachella 2024: Headliners and Schedule – Your Ultimate Guide
Tumblr media
Spanning two weekends from April 12-14 and 19-21, the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival unfolds at the Empire Polo Field in Indio, CA, showcasing identical lineups each weekend. This year’s installment boasts a stellar lineup representing a diverse range of genres including pop, ’90s indie rock, hip-hop, reggaeton, and K-pop.
Who’s headlining the Coachella 2024 lineup?
Headlining this year’s festival are No Doubt, Lana Del Rey, Tyler, the Creator, and Doja Cat. Joining them on the lineup are notable acts such as J Balvin, Peso Pluma, Blur, Ice Spice, Jhené Aiko, Lil Uzi Vert, Justice, Bleachers, and many others.
When will the Coachella set times be released?
The organizers typically do not unveil set times for Coachella until the week of the festival, sometimes even just a day prior. Keep an eye out here in April, as we will promptly update with the set times once they are released.
However, there’s one exception: the 21-plus Heineken House has already disclosed its set times, which you can find further down this page.
Where’s the festival map for this year?
Like the schedule, the festival map tends to be released just before the gates open. Recent editions have seen some significant changes to accommodate the growing crowd capacity, such as relocating the Sahara tent. In 2022 and 2023, the maps resembled pre-2020 editions, with minor changes like the Yuma tent shifting slightly north.
However, this year brings notable alterations. The Sahara tent will relocate once more, from the southwest corner to a field adjacent to the Do LaB stage. In the former Sahara tent area, you’ll now discover Quasar, an open-air stage featuring DJs with extended three-to-four-hour sets.
Coachella 2024 essentials
Must-have items for battling the sun
Sunscreen: Protect yourself with sunscreen of at least SPF 30. Remember to reapply every two hours. Stick to traditional lotion-based sunscreen.
Lip Balm: Keep your lips safe from sun damage with sunscreen-infused lip balm. You’ll need them in good shape for singing along to your favorite acts.
Water Bottles: Bring a plastic, empty refillable water bottle. Metal and insulated bottles are not allowed. Stay hydrated by refilling at water stations located throughout the festival grounds.
Hand Fans: Stay cool and stylish with accordion (foldable) hand fans. Ensure they have no sharp edges and can’t be seen as a weapon. Perfect for fanning yourself and friends, and for capturing cute festival photos.
Items to leave at home
Here’s a concise list of prohibited items for both Coachella and Stagecoach. Please be aware that attempting to bring any of these items through the festival gates is strictly prohibited:
Advanced first aid kits, including hemostatic gauze or powder, tourniquets, compression bandages, decompression needles, or chest seals.
Aerosol cans
Air horns
Audio recording devices
Bicycles, skates, scooters, or skateboards
Blankets
Chains or chain wallets
Chairs (except for certain foldable chairs allowed in designated areas at Stagecoach)
Coolers
Detachable lens cameras
Drones or remote-control aircraft, cars, or toys
Flags
Glass bottles or containers
Glow sticks, light sticks, or LED gloves
Hoverboards or segways
Illegal drugs or drug paraphernalia
Instruments
Kites or sky lanterns
Markers or paint pens
Metal water bottles or containers
Outside food or beverage
Selfie sticks, tripods
Stuffed animals
Toy guns, water guns, or sling shots
Umbrellas
Video cameras
Wagons
Walkie talkies
Weapons
Please ensure you comply with these guidelines to ensure a safe and enjoyable festival experience for all attendees.
Choosing the Best Online Toy Store
We all want to choose the best toys for our kids and there are plenty of places to buy toys both offline and online but how do you choose the best online toy store? First of all, the best online toy store will have a great selection of toys for all age groups and both girls and boys. It should cater for babies, toddlers, pre-schoolers and upwards. There should be a selection of brand toys available such as Toy Story, Disney and Star Wars as well as more traditional toys like train sets and dolls.
In addition to the actual toys, the best online toy store will offer accessories like transformers and tables which can be used for train layouts or other games. Cars will need a garage and a filling station and furniture and different outfits are a must for every dolly.
You should be able to choose Blocks creative activities too which the kids will enjoy; kits for making rugs, jewellery or flowers for the girls and for the boys, cars, paper airplanes and robots. Kits for drawing and painting will bring out the artist in either boys or girls and make sure that refill packs are available.
Toys should be educational as well as interesting, particularly for the very young. Make learning fun with ABC flash cards and recognising building block shapes. The best online toy store will offer toys which are safe for babies as well as stimulating and entertaining; cuddly toys and chunky wooden blocks are always favourites as are rattles and teething rings. You'll want a good range of prices too as most families like to buy one big, more expensive present like a ride-on toy or tricycle as well as a few smaller ones or bits and pieces for a Christmas stocking.
Check out the delivery charges and returns policy. The best online toy stores offer free shipping if your order is more than a certain value and they certainly won't quibble about replacing goods which are damaged in transit. They should also be willing to exchange or refund the cost of unwanted toys as long as the packaging hasn't been opened or damaged in any way.
Finally, make sure that the page where you give your credit card details is encrypted. You can check this as the url should begin https rather than just http and there should be a locked padlock visible at the bottom of your screen.
What Is the Best Male Masturbator?
Male masturbation toys are a great way for men to experience orgasms without the hassle of cleaning and disinfecting. They’re also a fun gift for a man. The best ones are made from high quality materials, are safe for the body and are inexpensive.
Some of the more popular brands of male masturbation toys include Fleshlight, Zolo, and Kiiroo. These products are made of high-quality, non-toxic silicone and are easy to clean. Many are rechargeable. When purchasing, make sure to look for products that are waterproof. Also, some of these toy models are designed to be used with warm or chilled lube.
The most common types of male masturbation toys are handheld penis strokers and pocket pussies. These can be customized to give the user an orgasmic experience. In addition, they can be designed to feel like a butt or vagina. Masturbation is a great stress reliever for both men and women. It can also increase the chances of having healthy sperm.
Male masturbation toys are made from high-grade, body-safe silicone, making them durable and safe. Some are made of TPE, which is a type of rubber that’s moldable. This type of material is a good choice because it’s pliable and will mold to your body, making it very easy to use. You may even be able to get an extra thrill with a vibrating sex toy.
If you’re in the market for a male masturbation toy, consider purchasing a sex toy that is compatible with water-based lubricants. Using a water-based lube will help keep the toy from damaging your skin, reducing friction, and minimizing chafing.
Another option is a sex toy that’s designed to be used with a partner. For example, the F1 Developer’s Kit is an advanced sex toy that’s built from a rigid, textured body with a textured silicone inner sheath. Alternatively, a rechargeable male masturbator is convenient because it can be refilled with fluids and is waterproof. However, you should never put a rechargeable toy in the dishwasher or submerge it in water.
Besides being a good way to relax, masturbation can be therapeutic. Having a masturbator on hand can be useful for couples who are having a problem with sexual intimacy. Masturbation can also be helpful for those who are trying to prevent pregnancy. Moreover, it can be an empowering tool for those who have disabilities.
The Lovense Max 2 is an interactive male masturbator that offers a variety of internal textures and is Bluetooth-enabled for a hands-free experience. It’s easy to use with just one hand thanks to its three intuitive control buttons. Plus, it comes with leather gloves, a storage pouch, and a charging cable.
Finally, the Fleshlight Vantage stroker is a great option. It has a realistic feel and offers a pleasurable blow job. A lot of top pornstars have had their asses and mouths molded for their sex toys.
Choosing the right sex toy can be a daunting task for new buyers. You should consider your personal preferences, the size of your penis, and the material of the toy.
               ˚₊· ͟͟͞➳❥          "yeah, be a total cry baby. it wouldn't be the first time i've dealt with them." chuckling to his words, it was easier making light of the situation. albeit, it was admirable that he hadn't complained in the slightest. "hm, hear some horror stories of me? have i ever scared you?" leaning back enough to peer down at elijah, she'd never had a reason to actually get annoyed at the male; he was far too sweet in her eyes. "what? you— no, that's not what i meant." a smirk pulling across her lips, she gave a shake of her head. "i do forget you're somewhat of a gent. uh, i meant something sexual. yeah, not a prostitute— nor, do i do anything of the sort. still, you'd be surprised the requests i get asked for being courteous to patrons. a guy slipped before and asked for a tit to be popped and breastfed. sorry, probably shouldn't lump you in with those types, huh? you learn to expect it, you'd be surprised at the amount with a weird fetish." voice lacking any emotion as she turned away, she was hoping her own dry nature would garner a reaction from the male. in a way, it was to try hopefully distract him from the pain. "the clean up was always getting done by you, by the way. you made it, you clean it." tone remaining dry, she had no intention of making him clean. still, it was more chances to toy and distract him. "only one refill? really, elijah?" moving away to begin cleaning up the few plasters and gauzes, she glanced back with a shake of her head. "at least have the balls to ask for two or something stronger than a water. sometimes, i forget who you're affiliated with— even if they're not connections by choice." only knowing vaguely of his troubles, they were still ones she'd try help with should he ever need. not wanting to ever back him into a corner, all saeko ever intended to do was keep her distance until he came to her. "come on, i'll start kicking people out and— we can have the bar to ourselves, fair? i owe you one, so have anything you like." picking up the first aid kit and heading for the door, she gave a nod of her head. "come on, big man. i'll let you keep your battle scars hidden for now."
Tumblr media
“ doesn't matter. ” he counters with a shake of his head. “ those assholes deserved more than what they got for just looking at everyone here the wrong way. who the fuck did they think they were? walking in and shit-talking like they owned the place? ” elijah grumbles while she pushes his head back to clean the blood, and he winces slightly, brows tensing. “ i get it, geez. but what do you want me to say? that my chest hurts i feel like i'm going to start coughing up blood soon? i've wiped out on my bike and ended up worse than this. honestly, you'll probably hurt me more than the dudes right now. i know you're scary. ” his features wrinkle before lighting up at her thanks, but her next words make him wave her off with a shrug. “ tsk — you don't need to do more. i got it from here, just give me the ice. but when you said nothing free — does that mean i have to pay you for basically being my doctor right now? maybe i can help with the cleanup? ” he asks with a raised eyebrow before he glances at the mess created by the commotion. “ does this also mean i can't get a free drink? i feel like a cold glass would be perfect right about now, and those dicks did spill mine from earlier, so… refill? ”
As We Rapidly Approach the 2020 US Election Results...
We need to prepare mental health wise for all possible outcomes. It’s highly likely we will not know the confirmed results until a couple weeks after the election. Regardless of outcome, this will be a stressful next couple weeks and we MUST prepare our mental health toolkits. With your partner, family, or friends write down or make a toolkit including:
A safe place to go virtually or IRL (park, friends’ house, family member’s place, meeting or support group)
Loved ones to call/check in with (write them down!)
A list of your trusted coping mechanisms
Something tactile and soothing (favorite crystal, stim toy, stuffed animal, comfy clothes, candles, skin care or blanket)
Safe and easy foods/meals (buy your favorite frozen meal/snacks/drinks, eat whatever you need to without shame/guilt)
Your refilled anti-anxiety medication (or CBD products, herbal tea, smokables/edibles, whatever you prefer no judgement!)
An affirmation list ex. “I am safe right now”
CBT/DBT worksheets & my Anxiety Masterpost
Crisis Hotlines, AA/NA Meeting/Support Group Links, or your Counselor’s Number (ex. my therapist is avail Election Day to text/call)
Pick out, pre-purchase, or set-aside your favorite comforting movies, TV shows, podcasts, or media
If you’re the type who wants to volunteer, sign up to phone-bank or text bank in swing states on election day / this week (that’s what I’m doing)
In the worst case scenario: prepare your protest or mutual aid kits and/or pick a local mutual aid organization to volunteer with
Give this written list to your partner, bff, or family in case you have a freeze response or anxiety attack so they know how to help you
Lastly, DON’T FORGET TO BREATHE, in fact, take several slow deep breaths right now
Community Resilience protects and helps all of us.
Stay safe, love you all!
