Red Chinese yard-long beans grown on a Tower Garden. ❤️
We have grown green yard-long beans before but this is our first year growing red ones! We are absolutely stunned by its beauty. 😍
Chinese yard long beans are also known as long podded cowpea, asparagus bean, pea bean, or snake bean. 🌿🌱 This plant is of a different genus from the common bean. They are botanically a type of cowpea (Vigna unguiculata) though they resemble pole beans (Phaseolus vulgaris). Young beans develop within sixty days of cultivation, and the long pods grow in pairs from the stem. Known for their extraordinary length, the beans can grow up to thirty inches (76 cm.) in length but for best flavor and texture, they should be harvested when between twelve and eighteen inches (30cm. - 45 cm.)
There are also multiple varieties of Chinese yard long bean including purple, red, green and yellow as well as multicolored green, pink and purple strains. We personally love to put them in a stir-fry, it’s absolutely delicious 😋 💚

The Communication Tower Farm Up Past The Top of Ski Santa Fe runs. The towers broadcast or rebroadcast signals from television and radio stations as well as some internet service for some communities (so I have heard). The top photo is from Google StreetView - it is reversed so it lines up with the tower views in the zoom image, the second is my zoom photo from Agua Fria in the same place I took the bottom photo. The red aero shows the location of the Communications Tower Farm. #ZoomPhotography #CommunicationsTowerFarm #TowerFarm #SangreDeCristoMountains #SantaFeCounty https://www.instagram.com/p/Caiz3tsA4dn/?utm_medium=tumblr

Aeroponic fennel growing on a Tower Garden 🌿🍃 Fennel is a perennial plant that belongs to the Apiaceae family which includes anise, carrots, celery, cilantro, cumin, dill, parsley, parsnip, and more! Although most instructional manuals will recommend planning several seeds per cube of rockwool, we advise you to plant only one seed per cube. In fact, when planting more than one seed per cube, you will have several fennel bulbs/plants growing out of one hole of the planting section. Having 2 to 3 bulbs of fennel growing together out of one hole looks amazing, however, when several bulbs of fennel grow out of the same hole/cube of rockwool, they do not develop as well as when there is only one bulb per hole. Single bulbs do not need to compete for space and therefore will grow bigger and deliver a better texture and a sweeter flavor.

Yes! 🌻 It is possible to grow aeroponic sunflowers on a Tower Garden! These sunflowers grew massively, measuring more than 13 feet (4 meters) tall! Sunflowers grow quickly and you can expect to have flowers within 8 weeks. The power of the tower! This is a testament to the durability and strength of the Tower Garden which is able to sustain such an impressively enormous plant which has a considerable weight.
