Tw: cussing, fluff, snuggles
Part 11
Words of Command - Part 12
Your suite in Stark Tower feels more like a sanctuary than any place Bucky’s ever beennot that he knows why. Maybe it’s the scent that always lingers faintly on the couch cushions—your shampoo. Or the way you hum when you brush your hair in the evening, not even realizing you’re doing it. Or maybe it’s just because he’s not in a cage. Not anymore.
The TV glows softly, voices murmuring from a cooking show you didn’t really mean to choose.
Just background noise to fill the silence while you sit curled on one end of the couch in a loose T-shirt and pajama pants, your knees tucked under you like a child listening to rain.
Bucky—stands near the window, half in shadow. The metal arm catches faint light when he shifts his weight. His shoulders are tense, jaw tight, eyes narrowed slightly as if watching the reflection of the flickering screen on the glass rather than the city outside.
And then he says it.
"Doll… what was that?”
You glance up. “What was what?”
He turns slowly.
Controlled.
Measured.
But there’s something unsure in his posture now. Less soldier. More... man. He steps toward the couch, not sitting yet. Just looming, hesitating like a man outside a door he’s not sure he’s allowed to open.
"In the kitchen. When I… I reached for you.”
His hand flexes—flesh fingers curling in mid-air like they remember the shape of your cheek but not how they knew to go there.
“I don’t understand what that was. But it felt like—like something. Not in my head. Here.”
He presses the heel of his palm over his chest, then looks at you with a rawness that’s almost painful to witness.
There’s no mask. Just confusion, vulnerability, and a desperate hunger to understand what’s happening to him.
You put the remote down and shift, making space on the couch. “Come sit with me?”
He hesitates—but obeys.
Slowly.
Carefully.
Like he’s afraid he’ll break the cushion just by sitting on it.
You turn toward him slightly, your voice still soft. “When you say it felt like something short-circuited… do you mean it hurt?”
He shakes his head. “No. Not pain. Just... heat. Like... like a pull. But I...I just... wanted to.”
He frowns. “Wanting is confusing.”
You can’t help the soft smile. “Yea, it can be.”
His brows knit. “What does it mean if I wanted to touch your face?”
Your breath hitches, just a little. “Well… it can mean a few things. But sometimes, when we care about someone… we want to be close. To feel close to them. To connect.”
He’s silent. The TV babbles in the background about deglazing a pan.
You continue gently, “Do you think… that's what it is, Soldat ?”
“I don’t know you,” he says quickly—but not coldly. “But I look at you, and I feel like I know you. Like I should know you. Like there’s something warm in my blood when you talk to me. You say my name and it’s like… like gravity. And when I see you smile, I feel like I could die and it’d be okay.”
You blink, stunned at the poetry he doesn’t even know he’s speaking.
Then his voice drops, gravel low.
“Thats not from them."
His eyes lock onto yours. Blue steel, but soft around the edges now.
“You didn’t order it. So why do I want it so bad?”
You reach out slowly, palm up.
“Because it’s yours,” you say. “The wanting. The feeling. It’s not programming. It’s you.”
He stares at your hand for a moment. Then, carefully, he places his flesh hand in yours.
His thumb brushes across your knuckles, slowly. Not sure if he’s allowed to do more.
“Doll…” he says, voice barely a whisper. “If I… if I ever remember more of who I was… will I still want this?”
You squeeze his hand gently.
“You're still you ... we're just… finding your pieces.”
The TV’s background noise fades in your awareness as you both sit there, connected not by command, but by choice. Bucky is quiet for a long time.
“I don’t want to break this... to hurt you”
“You won’t,” you whisper.
His fingers shift, moving up to brush a stray lock of hair from your cheek—just like that almost-moment in the kitchen, but this time, he finishes it. His knuckles graze your skin.
You rest your head lightly on his shoulder. And for the first time, he lets his body relax beneath yours.
Your bedroom is quiet when you slip inside, soft lamplight catching the gentle curve of the comforter as you pull it back.
The hum of the city is muffled by Stark Tower’s reinforced glass, but you can still see the lights winking from below, like a galaxy turned upside down.
You don’t expect to hear the soft click of the door behind you. Bucky had been staying mostly in his own room, only coming to your room on nights with nightmares.
You turn, hand still on the edge of the blanket.
Bucky stands there, one shoulder pressed to the doorframe. His flesh hand at his side, his metal one clenched just slightly, as if uncertain what to do with the need building inside him.
“Doll…”
His voice is low, soft, with that half-rasp that always curls around your name like it’s some kind of prayer.
“I… don’t know if I’m supposed to be here.”
You blink, gentle, cautious. “You can be, if you want to be.”
He steps in, closing the door behind him. Not with purpose—just quiet intention.
“I keep thinking about what you said. About wanting… not being the same as orders. And I keep... wanting.”
He doesn’t finish the sentence. You see it in the way he sways slightly, like he’s not sure if he’s allowed to move forward.
“I’m going to sleep now,” you say softly, your tone even and kind. “You can stay, if you want to. But you don’t have to.”
His jaw tenses. “It’s not that I think I have to. I just… I don’t want to be alone. But I don’t want to do anything that makes you uncomfortable. Or makes you feel like—like I’m still not making choices.”
There’s a pause.
"Can I stay with you?” he asks. The question feels fragile.
You nod gently, lifting the comforter a little.
Bucky approaches slowly, like he’s stepping onto ice. He sheds the jacket first, revealing the long-sleeved shirt underneath that stretches across broad shoulders. He’s quiet about it—careful.
As if loud sounds might wake a ghost. His movements are precise, cautious, almost like a soldier diffusing a bomb. His metal arm remains close to his side.
He lies beside you on his back, not touching you. Not even close. His body is tight with restraint.
You watch the hard swallow in his throat. His eyes are on the ceiling. “I don’t know what to do with my hands.”
Your laugh is a breathy, tiny thing. “That’s okay. You don't have to do anything.”
A beat.
Then—slowly, achingly slowly—his arm shifts. His flesh hand brushes along the sheet until his pinky finds yours. The lightest touch. Barely there. As if even that could be too much.
"This alright?”
You nod. “Yes.”
And he sighs. Like he’s been holding that breath since 1945.
Minutes pass. You turn on your side, facing away—but your pinky remains linked with his.
No demands.
Just comfort.
Bucky moves behind you—hesitant, still—but closer. Just enough to let his body radiate heat against yours, not touching yet.
Then his arm—the metal one—shifts.
Halting.
Deliberate.
“I know it’s cold. I’ll keep it to myself if it’s too much.”
You reach back with gentle fingers, wrapping them around his wrist.
“No. It’s ok Soldat.”
And that’s it.
That’s all it takes.
He curls behind you, spooning carefully, like he’s scared he might crush you. His metal arm wraps across your waist, held stiff at first—then loosens when he realizes you haven’t pulled away.
His breath tickles the back of your neck. His chest rises and falls in time with yours.
"You smell like warm milk and vanilla,” he murmurs.
You smile into the pillow. “That’s oddly specific.”
"I remember it,” he says, voice soft as dusk. “It's the only memory im sure is mine”
It’s dark in the suite now, the only light coming from the faint cityglow bleeding in through the curtains.
The world outside continues on, fast and loud—but inside, everything is soft. The sheets, the breath, the quiet hum of JARVIS and his circuits that lulls the room into safety.
You’re still curled up together, your body small against his—barely taking up space, yet somehow filling the room with warmth. Bucky’s metal arm rests across your waist, cool at first, but no longer stiff.
His fingers are splayed gently where your ribs rise and fall, not gripping, just… there.
His breath continuea to stir the fine baby hairs at the nape of your neck, chest rising slow behind you.
The kind of stillness that only comes from trust—not programming.
Then, softly, like he’s scared the words might break the moment “Used to be girls like you in Brooklyn…”
You shift, just a little—only enough to turn your head toward him. “Girls like me?”
“Soft,” he murmurs, voice half-lost in the pillow. “Gentle. They wore red lipstick and smelled like sugar cookies. Would laugh behind their hands and pretend not to look at the uniforms.”
A pause.
Then, quieter “None of them ever looked at me like you do.”
You don’t speak. Not yet.
“I remember… fragments. A dance hall. Music. Steve grinning like an idiot ‘cause he finally asked someone to swing. I was teasing him. Telling him he’d step on her feet. Then…”
His fingers flex slightly, tremble, then still.
"Then it’s cold. Metal. Lights in my eyes. Screaming. And then… you.”
He shifts behind you slightly—tentative. The arm across your waist begins to lift. Retreating.
“I shouldn’t hold you like this,” he says, barely audible. “Not with this thing. What if I squeeze too hard? What if I forget where I am again?”
You reach down and place your arm over his metal forearm.
Bucky's breath hitches, not with excitement, but with fear.
“I’m not scared of it ... the arm” you whisper.
“You should be.”
He says it like a sinner.
But your voice stays steady. “Does it... do you… feel? With this arm?”
There’s a pause. Then, hesitant.
“Sort of. Not like flesh, not pain or heat. But… pressure. Vibration. Cold. Like I’m wearing armor I can never take off.”
Your hand reaches down, brushing your fingers lightly over the edge of the metal plates, where his titanium wrist sits at your waist, one fingertip traveling the grove between the plates.
You trace along the lines—over the overlapping segments, over seams that flex as he breathes. Your touch is featherlight. Reverent.
“Y'know I don't see a weapon, when I look at it” you say softly.
His eyes search your face, like he’s waiting for mockery. But all he finds is warmth.
“You don’t mean that.”
“I do.” You lift your gaze to meet his. “They gave it to you as a weapon. But it’s yours now, Soldat. You get to decide what it’s for now.”
His throat bobs as he swallows.
“You’re not scared.”
“Not even a little bit”
“Even if I forget again?”
You take his metal hand in both of yours, bringing it gently to rest against your chest, right over your heartbeat.
“Then I’ll remind you.”
His forehead presses to your shoulderblade, eyes closed. No movement—just contact.
He breathes you in, slow and ragged.
“Doll…”
It’s more than a name now.
It’s a plea.
A hope.
A tether.
The quiet hasn’t changed. The room steeped in a hush so complete that even the city outside feels like it’s holding its breath. The kind of silence where words would feel too sharp—unless spoken with care.
You've shifted in your quite half sleep.
Bucky lies on his side, facing you. His titanium arm rests behind your back, not holding but there, like a safety rail you didn’t know you needed. His flesh hand is caught gently between your two smaller ones, warm and still.
Your heads share the same pillow, foreheads close but not quite touching.
You feel his eyes before you see them—fixed on you, heavy with thoughts he doesn’t yet have language for. His brow is creased slightly, as if trying to solve a puzzle written on your skin.
"Doll…” he murmurs, voice gravel and breath.
You hum softly in response, not wanting to break the spell.
Your thumb moves in slow circles across the back of his knuckles.
Soothing.
Patient.
"Can I… tell you something?”
His voice is low, tentative. Like it’s the first time he’s ever asked permission for anything.
You nod, lips barely moving. “Of course you can, Soldat.”
He doesn’t move for a long time. Doesn’t speak. Just breathes. As if your voice was enough to quiet the static in his head.
But then…
"I don’t… know what this feeling is,” he admits, broken-soft. “It’s not an order. Not a mission.”
Your fingertips rest over his chest now, feeling the faint thump beneath his skin. Your head is tucked into the hollow beneath his collarbone. “What feeling?”
“When I look at you.”
He shifts slightly, uncertain. “My chest feels tight. My thoughts get louder, but only the one's about dames. I remember things ... like hands and laughing.”
You feel the tremor in his voice like a ripple beneath you.
"I want to be near you. Protect you. Make sure your safe.”
A pause. Then, almost broken “But I don’t know what that means. I’m scared… if I forget who I am again…you'll be gone too”
Your hand rises, cupping his cheek—gently turning his face toward yours.
“You’re learning, no ones coming to take from you.”
His eyes are wet. Not tears—not yet. But close.
He presses his forehead to yours again, one hand slowly sliding up your spine—not to hold, but to ground.
His touch is still careful, his grip featherlight.
He closes his eyes.
“Tell me to stay like this.”
You smile—sad and sweet. “You don’t need me to order you, Soldat. You can choose this.”
But he shakes his head, softly stubborn.
“Just tell me, Doll ... please"
You lean in, so your voice, half asleep can be a whisper.
“Stay with me, Soldat.”
He exhales and shifts, his arms tightening for a few seconds, pulling you closer.
“Thank you, Doll.”

Bloodied Love
Yandere Homelander x supe reader pt.1
Summary: He never expected to have a soulmate. His mark was never there, so what happens once it appears where you touched him? A girl like you, not even human. You fed off of his kind, but that dosn’t deter him from the horrors he has planned. You deprived him of your love, and now he won’t let go of you…even if he has to kill you.
Warnings: This is a Yandere fic so there will be blood, gore, ect. There will be nsfw themes and scenes in here as well as drugging and other things. Reader is not a human but she’s a water and air spirit called a Nokken. Reader has a hatred for humans
A mysterious dark figure has yet again saved the city once more. Could this be a new hero on the rise? Stay tuned for more-“
A [skin color] hand pressed the big red button on the dainty remote. Though her strength was controlled she almost crushed it. “Looks like someone’s getting famous.” Y/n looked away from the black screen and towards her friend. Her milky white eyes began shifting back into their natural [eye color] shade. “I guess.” Y/n mumbled. Her sharp claws slowly retracting. Almost like bear claws. “Dosn’t really matter when we have hero’s killing innocent civilians.” Y/n stated, standing up she towered over her friend, “You know Ivan…I’m not even sure if this hero thing is what I want.”
The shorter male who at the time was drinking a glass of wine had choked on the bitter substance. His black soulmate mark seemed to jump as he shifted quickly. The dark red liquid running down his chin as he scrambled to wipe it away. “What?! How come?” Ivan asked, his honey brown eyes widened. “It’s not because of that accident right?! Because if that’s it you should know that it’s not knew-“
“Thats the problem…I-“ Y/n paused as her radio began to go off. Signaling an attack. Ivan tilted his head towards the door as he looked down at y/n’s outfit. “You’re still in your suit. Best get going.” He said in a fatherly tone. Y/n smile but scoffed in order to cover it up. She walked out the front door. Her body taking her towards the site immediately.
She could still feel his blood on her. The blood of her comrades she worked with, the blood of Ivan. The gaze of his blood still lingered in his mouth. There was nothing left, only his half eaten head that lie in the ground. A horrified expression laid on his dead face. She didn’t feel that urge anymore. That burning sensation that told her to eat, eat, eat.
She knew she didn’t want to. He gave her no choice!! He was out for her blood! He was out for her abilities! She was just big game to him. A long cat and mouse game that she was oblivious to playing. A bounty on her head! He only wanted the money, he was like all the other rotten humans in this world! All the dirty, disgusting, vermin-
A single drop was able to knock her from her thoughts. And then the camera flashing began as she stood at the foot of the plane. American press were taking pictures of her. Fans screamed her name, but y/n’s smile had not reached her eyes. For she held no pleasure in standing before these people. Her mother country, Brazil had sent their number one hero to help America. A oncoming agreement came from the two countries and a treaty was made. America gives them resources and money and they gave up…..her. But that did not mean she would abandon her past. Even if she were to live here for a few years before going back home.
“[Hero Name]! How does it feel to be on American soil?!” One of the interviewers asked, shoving their mics in her face. They don’t really care, they wanted the money. They all only wanted money.
Y/n’s eyes trailed down to meet the woman’s eyes. A flash of nervousness appeared within her irises. Her green eyes meeting y/n’s milky white ones. Y/n tilted her head to the side, examining if she even wanted to speak with the woman. “It feels just like home.” Y/n finally spoke up, flashing a polite smile towards the smaller woman. She stood at a tall height of 5’8, her form taller than most women she knew, and yet smaller than most men.
“[hero name]! Can you describe your powers of being a Nokken?!” Another reporter questioned. Y/n’s hand twitched but no one batted an eye. They probably didn’t even notice. “A magician never reveals her tricks.” Y/n said in a happy tone. That same eye catching smile was forever carved in her face. And yet again her eyes did not match. But of course no human cared. Humans were easily deceived, they were easily eaten-
‘Dont think like that.’ Y/n thought to herself. And almost immediately the attention was finally directed off of her. “It’s homelander!” A random person states the obvious. Y/n attempted to slink away but a strong arm wrapped around her shoulder. “Thank you for the love! But I wanted to welcome in the new hero everyone’s been raving about!” The blue eyed man exclaimed. Y/n made no attempt to look up at him, for she knew that if she did she might as well be provoked to hit him. And she doubted that would do anything. “Smile.” Homelander whispered but the muscles in y/n’s face remained locked in. A neutral expression on her face as she made eye contact with reporters. She wouldn’t be a fraud like the man above her was.
“Thank you for the warm welcome but I best be going homelander. Maybe we’ll cross paths again.” Y/n says loud enough for the reporters to hear as y/n smiles and begins to be escorted out of the airport.
The cool air hit her. Rain drops fell from the sky, turning her once [skin color] skin into a sickly grey. Her hair turning into an inky black color. She was not only a water based supe but an air one as well. The combination brought on many fans and onlookers that wished to be her. Or dispise her.
“You left in a hurry.” That same familiar voice echoed throughout the empty streets. People were off the roads due to the storm. Y/n looked over her shoulder, this time her milky white eyes meeting his bright blue ones. “Was I supposed to linger?” Y/n questioned, turning her body towards him. She stood tall, her form didn’t look weak.
“Not necessarily, just….unusual.” He replied. “Usually supes stick around to talk to the number one hero in the world.”
“In America.” Y/n replied, slightly cutting him off.
“Pardon?” He questioned. The smile on his face was fake. It didn’t reach his eyes, it looked like a mask. A horrible one at that.
“You are the number one hero in America. Who’s to say the world when you haven’t even stepped out of it before?” Y/n questioned. Homelander gave y/n an annoyed look. “Anyway Mr retriever, I best get going.”
”Mr retriever?” Homelands questioned, he took off one of his gloves in order to get the water out of it.
“You look like one.” Y/n spoke as she patted his arm whilst walking past him. Homelandee furrowed his eyebrows. Who does this girl think she is? He’s number one-
The blonde haired male could feel a burning sensation on his forearm. He glanced down, not thinking it’d be anything only for his eyes go linger the name, y/n l/n was imbedded into his arm. His eyebrows furrowed, whose name was this? As realization began to sink in that this was his soulmates name…where ever she was he’d find her.

Swan and Shadow [Sakusa Kiyoomi x Miya!Reader]
Summary: Where the brooding Sakusa Kiyoomi unknowingly falls in love with the Miya sister. What happens next?
Chapter 12 [Masterlist]
Sakusa sat on the edge of his bed, still in his tracksuit. The only sound was the dull hum of the ceiling fan and the muted pounding in his head. The towel from the game was still clenched in his fist, damp from stress, not sweat.
MSBY lost. And he knew exactly why.
Before he could spiral further, the front door creaked open.
"Yo!" Sakusa looked up, barely lifting his head. “Motoya.”
Standing in the doorway with snacks, in socks half sliding off, was Komori - his most consistent visitor. “Thought I’d come cheer up the tragic prince,” Motoya said, tossing a bag of chips on the table.
“I’m not in the mood.”
“Hey—come on.” Motoya flopped onto the couch. “It's our ritual.”
Sakusa didn’t budge.
“We’ve done this since we were five. You tank a game, we break it down, frame by frame, and cry into snacks after. It’s practically sacred.”
Sakusa let out a sigh but finally dragged himself to the couch, dropping like dead weight beside him. Motoya was already scrolling through highlights on YouTube. “Okay, what happened to you in the second set? You pull a muscle? Get food poisoning?”
Silence.
Sakusa slouched deeper into the cushions, eyes on the floor. Motoya raised an eyebrow but said nothing. He kept clicking.
Click.
Click.
Then froze.
The screen wasn’t showing volleyball clips anymore.
Nope- it was a curated carousel of ballet videos. You, dancing in a pale blue leotard. You, twirling in soft golden light. You, bowing at the end of a duet—Shinjiro at your side.
Motoya stared at the screen, dead silent.
“…Huh.”
Sakusa’s head snapped up in horror. “Don’t.”
Too late.
Motoya stood up on the couch, holding the remote high up like Simba in his hand, “What the hell is this?!”
Sakusa lunged, but Motoya scrambled backward, still towering on the cushions.
“Bro. BRO. You are one video away from making a FAN-CAM.”
“Give me the remote.”
“No.” Motoya squinted at the screen. “Wait—isn’t this the Miya sister?”
Sakusa let out a sound that wasn’t quite human. "You think I dont know that?"
“I mean—she’s hot, I get it. But dude. You hate drama—she comes with twin-sized baggage and a boyfriend!”
“It’s not—” Sakusa snatched the remote, flopping back onto the couch with a groan. “It’s not like that.”
Motoya raised an eyebrow. “You sure? Because this playlist says ‘ballet angel – slow motion edition.’”
Sakusa glared. “I didn’t name it.”
“You still saved it.”
Silence.
Sakusa stared at the paused video—your profile mid-turn, caught in soft spotlight.
“I just… like watching her dance,” he muttered.
Motoya sat beside him again, this time quieter. Realization hits him, “Wait, was she at the game? Is she why you lost your mojo?”
Sakusa sighs, then nods. "Her and..Shinjiro." Sakusa tells Motoya everything he saw.
Motoya sits beside him again, this time quieter. “Do you like her?”
Sakusa doesn’t answer immediately. Then, quietly, “I don’t know.”
Motoya studies him for a second. “Okay. Does spending time with her make you happy?”
Sakusa nods once.
“Do you think about her a lot?”
Another nod.
“…do you feel like you want to kiss her?”
Sakusa pauses. Really pauses. He doesn’t even realize he’s nodding until Motoya lets out a sharp breath and drops the joking tone entirely.
“Then snap out of it. Now is a terrible time for you to be feeling this way.”
Sakusa blinks, startled as Motoya continues,
“I don’t know if it’s a crush or infatuation or whatever, but this? This is not healthy. One—she’s a Miya. You know how that plays out. And two—she has a serious boyfriend. Like, press photos serious.”
Sakusa looks at him, wide-eyed and silent.
“I can’t control how I feel,” he finally says, voice low.
“No,” Motoya agrees. “But you can control what you do about it.”
There's a long pause as Sakusa takes in Motoya's words.
Then Motoya nudges him lightly. “So… what are you gonna do about it?”
Sakusa doesn’t answer. He just stares at the screen—at your paused silhouette, frozen mid-spin—and breathes.
Maybe it’s infatuation. Maybe it’s not.
But either way, he knows now— he can’t keep doing nothing.
Edited: Realized the next chapters weren't aligning. lol.

For your 600 follower event, can I get English breakfast tea and a scone? I’m a huge fan of Lord of the Rings and I talk through the movies a lot, quoting and critiquing them.
Characters: Jean x fem!reader
Prompts: Jean [English breakfast] and movie date [scone]
A/N: Hello there, and thank you so much for the support!!!! I'm sorry this took so long, and I hope you'll enjoy this sweet movie date with Jean!!! 💛 I am not very familiar with LOTR, so a big BIG shout out to @m-jelly for the help on this!!! Thank you so much Jelly! <3
I also apologise for the amount of dialogues in there oops! Having a lovers' squabble with Jean was actually pretty fun to write. Also, I had to rely on youtube videos for a crash course on LOTR so I hope I managed to nail something, and I hope you'll like it too!
Rei’s 600 Follower Event: Date-A-Boyfriend (Closed)
Once a month, you and your boyfriend Jean would organise a movie marathon, and this month, is was your turn to host and choose a movie. You chose to watch The Lord of the Rings as it was your absolute favourite, and you would never miss a chance to watch the movies over and over again.
You two prepared loads of snacks as you knew how long the movies were. There were salted and caramel popcorn, nachos and cheese, pretzels, crackers and dips, veggie chips, cookies, biscuits, chocolate, and also soft drinks as well.
"Remind me how long the marathon would last again?" Jean questioned as you sat on the couch, holding a large bowl of freshly popped caramel popcorn.
"It's 11 hours and 26 minutes, Jean," you giggled, feeding him some hot popcorn. Jean raised his eyebrow.
"Really? I swear the internet told me it was shorter."
You rolled your eyes and laughed, eating some popcorn, "of course it's longer, honey. We have to go with the extended version. It's the only acceptable answer." Jean took the blanket and covered it over both your legs.
"I better not catch you dozing off halfway, then." Jean playfully pinched your cheek. "You always doze off when we get to The Two Towers."
"Nah-uh, not today, sweetie," you laughed and ate some more popcorn, "I'm gonna stay awake." Jean merely smirked and muttered 'that's what you said the last time' under his breath.
"I heard that," you scowled, playfully poking Jean on his ticklish spots making him howl with laughter, "I'll stay awake this time. I promise." Once Jean stopped laughing and you both were comfortable, you took the remote control and started the movie.
»»————- ————-««
"You actually did stay up all the way, huh?" Jean stretched and yawned loudly when the credits started rolling. Looking at the clock in the living room, it was already close to 7am. Maybe you two could even go to the café nearby for breakfast. You finished your cup of lemonade and turned to face your boyfriend.
"I told you I was going to stay awake." You looked at Jean smugly, stretching your neck and your arms. The both of you continued watching the ending credits roll by silently. You've always had a lingering question in your head every time you watched The Lord of the Rings, and this time, you needed to get this question out of your mind.
"Jean." You broke the silence after the credits finished rolling.
"Hmm?"
"Can I ask you something?"
Jean sensed your tone of voice a little different than usual. He eyed you nervously and gulped before nodding, "... yeah?"
"What would you do... if you were in Aragorn's shoes?" You turned to Jean as he looked at you silently. "What would you have done if it were you?"
Jean was tongue-tied. He looked as though he had something to say, yet he just opened and closed his mouth like a gaping goldfish.
"I would've done the same, you know," you turned towards the TV again, "I would've done what Arwen did. I'd give up immortality for a life with the person I love most."
"And I would stop you from doing so, exactly like what Aragorn did."
"But why?" You questioned Jean again, and he remained silent. "Why would you do that?"
"Because I would want you to be happy." Jean stared hard at you. "I—j-just, well. Just imagine. You would've outlived me, for sure. What will happen to you once I'm gone? You're going to be all alone, and you're going to be miserable. You're going to die of a broken heart like Arwen, and I wouldn't want that to happen to you. I don't want you to suffer."
"I beg to differ," you took Jean's hand and held it, "I don't care about all that. Yeah, sure, I will be alone, but at least I was happy. I may be heartbroken without you, but I wouldn't have any regrets. I'd rather live a short but fulfilling life and die of a broken heart than to live a long life filled with regrets."
Jean gripped your hand tighter, staring hard at you again. "Sweetie. Listen to me. That's silly, and very risky, okay? Arwen chose to give up her immortality and look at what happened? If the ring wasn't destroyed, she would have died. All her choices and decisions would have gone to waste."
"But look at them! Arwen saw her future with Aragorn, and they even had a family together. She decided to take a gamble for her happiness and for the man she loved. If that isn't the purest and most beautiful form of love, I don't know what else is.
"Sometimes you just have to take a gamble, honey," you loosened your grip and gently cupped Jean's cheek, "I'll put my faith in the people I trust, and I believe in them too. I'll do anything in my power to be with you.
"Remember what Arwen said to Aragorn in Rivendell? She said 'I would rather share one lifetime with you than face all the ages of this world alone', and that is exactly what I want to tell you too. It doesn't matter that I'll be alone. What matters is that I get be with you, and that's already more than enough."
Jean looked at you again and sighed, laughing and shaking his head in defeat, "fine, sweetie, you win, okay? I'm yours until the end of eternity."
Smiling, you gently pat Jean's cheek, giving him a kiss. "And so am I. I'm yours until the end of eternity too."
As you stretched your limbs on the couch, Jean looked at you again and suddenly, he pulled you into his embrace and hugged you tightly. Your arms snaked up his back and hugged him in return, and the both of you remained in each other's embrace.
"I know your question was hypothetical, but don't ask me things like this again, 'kay? It's scary." Jean muttered out of a sudden, causing you to break out a laughter.
"You're ruining the moment, Jean, shhh," you giggled, nuzzling your head in the crook of his neck, "just keep quiet and hug me." The both of you continued hugging each other on the couch, until Jean's stomach rumbled loudly, making you burst out laughing again.
"Well I'm sorry to ruin the moment again, but I'm starving, and I want food. Proper food." Your giant boyfriend grumbled and shook himself free from the hug. "Let's wash up and get breakfast." Jean complained again and pushed himself off the couch, dragging you to the bathroom while you had a wide smile on your face.
Aaaaaaaaaaand that's it for the movie date with Jeanbo!! Thank you so much for sending me such a lovely request, and I hope you liked it!!

Last Monday of the Week 2023-12-04
ah fuck the mondaypost
Listening: I have been going back through some of @kelp-of-discontent's recs that I've saved and not gone back to. Great taste! Here's Pool Kids's Pool Kids
I always love the unmoored feeling good math rock gives you and this really lands that.
Watching: Double Features, 1) Bara no Soretsu/Funeral Parade of Roses because @thosearentcrimes has been trying to get us to watch that forever and we finally just sat down and watched it on yes the extremely funny ultrawide monitor that was being used as my TV.
Bara no Soretsu is very good in that arthouse way where it's very unpolished and has some very out there ideas about what makes a good movie but executes on it earnestly and with a goal. It's a combination of a movie about transgender women in the underground gay men's scene in 60's japan loosely based on the myth of Oedipus and also a documentary following the actors as they make this movie, in a way that makes it kind of hard to tell when something is meant to be the movie and when it's meant to be the documentary.
It's very uh. Challenging? It's honestly less tragic than I was expecting and it's mostly just a fascinating look into this very specific time and place. The interviews are priceless, a trans woman very straight facedly looking into the camera when asked "are you having a good time" and going "no, but I'm going to keep doing it". 10/10
Also Tomb Raider but the 2001 Angelina Jolie one. An impromptu pick for Bad Movie Night because we had an empty house and didn't want to burn a good bad movie. Tomb Raider is most interesting in how it approaches shooting action which is to say that it's mostly not good at it but has brief moments of inspiration. A very generic action adventure story otherwise, featuring young Daniel Craig as a prettyboy graverobber counterpart to Lara Croft. They made Angelina Jolie do an English accent and she just could not do it.
Reading: The other short stories that came along with Story of Your Life by Ted Chiang. Tower of Babylon is a fun atmospheric story of the Ancient Sumerians building a tower to breach the vault of heaven. Division by Zero is a very compelling depiction of a mathematician going insane because she has proven arithmetic to be inconsistent, which is notably not accompanied by any material changes in the world around her, which I liked.
Making: Mostly preparatory. I have a few project I've been sketching out, including hacking my own controller onto a WS2812 LED string and automating my radiators. The stepper motors and the string arrived today. Looking into exprTK, an expression evaluation library that should be suitable for my needs, and the ESP32 RMT subsystem which is a cute little mini-DSP and modulator built into the ESP32 ostensibly for IR Remote Control but frequently used now to quickly and efficiently implement all manner of protocols.
Playing: More Dark Souls, although less this week because I've been doing other things. still working around Darkroot Basin but I really haven't been there long. The ents are a real pain in the ass when paired with the knights, not because they're very hard but because you just have to wait for them to jump you.
Tools and Equipment: a new AMD GPU tuning utility for Linux was released a little while ago, LACT, which has a much simpler interface than some of the older tuning utilities. I like it, especially since I was doing some fan noise tuning after I installed the new network card and being able to just hit the fan speed with a slider was convenient.

Data Center Cooling System: Air Cooled Chillers vs Water Cooled Chillers Which One is Right?
If you manage or design data centers, you already know this: heat is the invisible threat. With servers running round the clock, cooling isn’t just a background function—it’s core to performance, uptime, and reliability.
And when it comes to cooling large-scale infrastructure, two technologies dominate the conversation: Air Cooled Chillers and Water Cooled Chillers.
They both serve the same purpose—removing heat—but how they do it, and what that means for your operations, is where the difference lies.
So, let’s break it down. But first let’s understand What is a Data Center Cooling System and why a data center needs it?
What is a Data Center Cooling System?
A Data Center Cooling System is the infrastructure and technology used to remove excess heat generated by servers, storage units, and networking equipment within a data center. This maintains optimal temperature and humidity to ensure reliable operation and longevity of IT infrastructure. Key Goals of a Data Center Cooling System:
Maintain safe operating temperatures (typically 18–27°C or 64–81°F)
Control humidity to prevent static and condensation
Improve energy efficiency (PUE – Power Usage Effectiveness)
Minimize environmental impact
Why Do Data Centers Need a Cooling System?
Data centers are built to run nonstop. Whether handling cloud applications, transactions, or machine learning workloads, the servers inside never sleep—and neither does the heat they produce.
Without an efficient Data Center Cooling System, all that heat buildup can lead to:
Hardware failures
Slower processing speeds
Reduced lifespan of IT equipment
Costly downtime
An effective Data Center Cooling System keeps temperatures within optimal limits, improves energy efficiency, and ensures that critical operations remain uninterrupted.
What is an Air Cooled Chiller?
Air cooled chillers are pretty straightforward. They use ambient air to remove heat from a system. Fans pull in outside air, push it across condenser coils, and carry heat away from the refrigerant. That’s it—no extra plumbing, no cooling towers, no complex installation.
These systems are self-contained and typically placed on rooftops or open outdoor areas. Because they’re compact and easy to install, they’re a go-to for smaller facilities and fast-track projects.
Why they’re popular:
Easy to deploy and maintain
Don’t require access to a water source
Lower initial setup costs
Ideal for moderate loads and less complex sites
But, there’s a trade-off. Air cooled chillers depend on outside air temperature. In hot climates, they may struggle to perform efficiently. They’re also noisier due to the large fans used for airflow.
What is a Water Cooled Chiller?
Water cooled chillers use a different approach. Instead of ambient air, they rely on water to absorb and dissipate heat. These systems circulate water through condenser coils and release that heat via a cooling tower.
This method is significantly more efficient—especially in larger facilities that operate 24/7. It also offers more stable cooling, regardless of outdoor weather conditions.
Why they’re preferred in mission-critical setups:
Higher energy efficiency
Quieter operation (since cooling towers can be located remotely)
Better suited for high-density environments
Long-term savings despite higher upfront investment
However, water cooled systems require more space, more infrastructure (like pumps, piping, and water treatment), and consistent upkeep.
Key Differences of Air Cooled Chillers and Water Cooled Chillers
Air Cooled Chillers or Water Cooled Chillers: Which is the Best for a Data Center Cooling System?
Every Data Center Cooling System has to balance efficiency, reliability, and cost. The choice between Air Cooled Chillers and Water Cooled Chillers depends on your specific operational needs.
Choose Air Cooled Chillers if:
Your data center is small or medium-sized
You need a fast, straightforward installation
You want minimal maintenance and lower water usage
You’re dealing with moderate workloads
Choose Water Cooled Chillers if:
You operate a large or hyperscale facility
Energy efficiency is a high priority
Your infrastructure supports cooling towers
You can invest in long-term operational savings
Wrap Up
The demand for data—and the infrastructure to support it—is only growing. That means Data Center Cooling Systems must evolve too, offering efficiency, resilience, and flexibility.
While Air Cooled Chillers may not always match the efficiency of water-based systems, they shine in scenarios where simplicity, speed, and space constraints matter most. As cooling technology continues to advance, air cooled solutions are becoming smarter, quieter, and more efficient—making them an increasingly attractive option for modern data centers.
Still unsure which chiller system fits your needs best?We at Climaveneta India help facilities assess, design, and implement custom cooling strategies tailored for today’s digital demands—and tomorrow’s energy expectations.

💨 LEVOIT Tower Fan for Bedroom Review (36-Inch) — Is It Worth It?

When summer heat rolls in like that clingy guest who overstays their welcome, all you want is something — anything — that actually cools you down… without sounding like a jet engine parked in your bedroom.
That’s where the LEVOIT Velocity Bladeless Oscillating Tower Fan (36-Inch) steps in. I’ve been using this sleek little lifesaver for a few weeks now, and after plenty of real-world use (and maybe a few naps in front of it), here’s my honest take on whether it’s worth adding to your space.
🔍 First Impressions — Sleek, Safe, and Surprisingly Strong
Let’s start with the design — because yeah, looks do matter when it’s sitting in your room 24/7.
This 36-inch LEVOIT fan has that minimalist, high-end vibe going for it. The white, bladeless tower blends right in with most modern decor and doesn’t eat up your entire floor like some clunky box fan. It’s like the iPhone of fans — clean, smart-looking, and low-key elegant.
Bonus? The bladeless design makes it way safer for kids and pets. No spinning blades means no “don’t touch that!” moments.
And assembly? Total breeze (pun intended). Took me under 10 minutes — snap the base together, plug it in, done.

💬 Real-World Verdict: Should You Buy It?
If you’re after something that’s quiet, stylish, and actually cools the room — without costing a small fortune — then yes, this fan is 100% worth it.
It’s not packed with smart home features or app control, but it nails the things that actually matter. It’s quiet. It’s efficient. It’s easy to use. And it looks good doing it.
Want the bells and whistles? Go for the 42″ smart version. But if you just need reliable cooling in your bedroom or home office, this 36″ model is honestly a steal.
⭐ Final Thoughts: A Cool Breeze in a Hot Market
I’ve reviewed and tested more fans than I’d like to admit, and this one? It’s one of the few that feels like a no-regrets purchase.
It doesn’t try to be a spaceship with a thousand buttons. It’s just a really solid, good-looking fan that keeps you comfortable. And honestly? In the middle of a summer heatwave, that’s all I really need.
So yeah — if your AC is struggling or your old fan sounds like a dying lawnmower, this LEVOIT fan might just be your new best friend.

Clearing the Air: Why Ghaziabad Industries Trust Local Fume Scrubbers Manufacturers

Ghaziabad – the engine of Uttar Pradesh’s industrial growth – faces a silent crisis. As factories in Sahibabad, Meerut Road, and Loni forge ahead in metal processing, chemicals, and pharmaceuticals, toxic fumes threaten worker safety, community health, and regulatory compliance. With UPPCB tightening emission norms and rising pollution fines (up to ₹5 lakhs per violation!), the smartest solution is partnering with a dedicated Fume Scrubbers Manufacturer in Ghaziabad.
This isn’t just about compliance; it’s about protecting your workforce, boosting productivity, and future-proofing your facility. Discover how local manufacturers engineer scrubbers that tackle Ghaziabad’s toughest air quality challenges.
Ghaziabad’s Fume Crisis: Industries at Risk
Data from UPPCB reveals critical pollution hotspots:
Metal Processing: Pickling fumes (HCl, HNO₃), welding smoke
Chemical Plants: Solvent vapors, ammonia, chlorine leaks
Pharmaceuticals: API synthesis gases, acetone emissions
Electroplating: Cyanide fumes, chromic acid mists
Textile Dyeing: Formaldehyde, chlorine dioxide
Without proper scrubbing, these emissions cause:
Worker respiratory diseases (asthma, COPD)
UPPCB shutdown orders & penalties
Corrosion of machinery & infrastructure
Community backlash & CSR failures
How Fume Scrubbers Work: Engineering Clean Air for Ghaziabad
Local manufacturers design scrubbers using chemical absorption principles tailored to Ghaziabad’s humid climate and industrial mix:
The 3-Step Scrubbing Process
Contaminated Air Intake: Fans pull toxic fumes into the system.
Chemical Neutralization: Fumes pass through a packed bed/tower, where liquid absorbents (water/alkaline solutions) dissolve pollutants:
Acid gases (HCl, SO₂) → Neutralized with NaOH slurry
Ammonia → Scrubbed with H₂SO₄
Solvents → Captured via activated carbon beds
Clean Air Release: Purified air exits via stack, meeting UPPCB norms (CPCB Standards: 50 mg/Nm³ for acids).
Visual: Custom scrubber design for Ghaziabad’s metal finishing industry
Why Choose a Ghaziabad-Based Scrubber Manufacturer? 5 Local Advantages
Hyper-Local Compliance Knowledge Understanding of UPPCB’s emission thresholds, consent mechanisms, and Ghaziabad-specific regulations (e.g., Critically Polluted Area directives).
Rapid On-Site Support <24-hour emergency service across NCR for breakdowns – critical for continuous production lines.
Material Expertise for Local Conditions
FRP (Fiber Reinforced Plastic) scrubbers resist Ghaziabad’s humid, acidic environments
PP (Polypropylene) liners for chlorine/oxidizer resistance
Custom designs for cramped factory layouts in Sahibabad industrial estates
Cost Optimization Lower logistics costs, no GST on inter-state procurement, and familiarity with local labor/raw material markets cut project costs by 15–25%. Industry-Specific Experience Proven solutions for:
Automotive: Paint booth VOC scrubbers
Textiles: Dyehouse formaldehyde control
Pharma: Solvent recovery systems
Top 5 Scrubber Technologies Offered by Ghaziabad Manufacturers

Types of Fans for Brisbane Homes: Which is Right for You?
Choosing the right type of fans in Perth can make a noticeable difference in comfort, especially during the region’s hot and humid summers. With various fan styles available, selecting one that suits both your lifestyle and the design of your home is essential. Here’s a breakdown of the most common types of fans used in Perth homes — and how to decide which one’s best for you.
Ceiling Fans
Ceiling fans in Brisbane are among the most popular choices for Perth homeowners. They provide a consistent breeze and are highly energy-efficient compared to air conditioning. Available in multiple designs, they suit most rooms, from bedrooms and living areas to outdoor patios. If you're looking to reduce your reliance on AC and lower electricity costs, ceiling fans are a reliable option. Look for models with reversible settings for year-round use.
Best for: Bedrooms, living rooms, and outdoor entertaining areas.

Pedestal Fans
Pedestal fans are portable, affordable, and easy to store. Renters or homes looking for a temporary cooling fix will find them perfect. These fans allow height and angle adjustments and often come with multiple speed settings. While they don’t have the aesthetic appeal of ceiling fans, their flexibility makes them a convenient choice.
Best for: Temporary cooling or rooms without fan wiring.
Tower Fans
Modern and sleek, tower fans take up minimal space and often come with built-in features like timers, remote controls, and air purification. They’re quieter than pedestal fans and fit well into compact areas like home offices or apartments.
Best for: Small spaces or rooms with a modern interior.
Wall-Mounted Fans
For homes with limited floor space or areas where ceiling fan installation isn’t possible, wall-mounted fans are a practical solution. Commonly used in kitchens, garages, and laundry rooms, they offer directional airflow and keep the floor clutter-free.
Best for: Kitchens, laundries, and small or irregular spaces.
Exhaust Fans
While not typically for cooling, exhaust fans are essential for removing hot, moist air, particularly in bathrooms and kitchens. In Brisbane's humid environment, they aid in mould prevention and enhance ventilation.
Best for: Bathrooms, kitchens, and laundry areas.
With the right fan, you can improve comfort, reduce cooling costs, and maintain better airflow throughout your Brisbane home — all while keeping things stylish and functional.

Enclave Reformist Talks...
Before developing a fully canonical account, it’s worth noting that no official Bethesda or Black Isle source ever details a “Reformist” Enclave that peacefully—and benevolently—absorbs every major vault and settlement across the Capital Wasteland, Mojave, and Commonwealth. All references to such a faction come from fan‐made discussions and stories (for example, a Fandom forum thread on a Reformist Enclave or various fanfictions like Enclave Rising and America Reborn). Below is an entirely original, speculative outline of how such a “Reformist” Enclave might have risen—from Pre-War roots in West Tek to full-blown stewardship of dozens of key locations by the Fallout-4 era.
1. From West Tek to Underwater Bunkers: Pre-War Continuity
West Tek & FEV research (2070s): A Reformer faction begins as a moderate wing within West Tek’s NBC division, arguing that FEV should be used to heal irradiated lands rather than create super-soldiers.
Continuity of Government Protocols: Reformers quietly secure hidden bunkers (Poseidon Oil Rig, Raven Rock) but dedicate themselves to preserving civilian archives and medical data alongside military assets.
Great War survival (2077): While Purist Enclave leadership flees underground, Reformist cells maintain “open communications” channels on encrypted pre-War networks, broadcasting messages of post-nuclear reconstruction rather than racial purity.
2. Post-War Reformation & First Landfall
Re-emergence, 2220s: Led by a visionary “President Jefferson VIII,” Reformists unveil mobile water-purification units and field hospitals, offering devastated communities a choice: Enclave “Citizenship” with guaranteed services, or full autonomy with trade benefits.
Vault 101 & Vault 111: Reformers hack Vault-Tec control consoles, nullify Purist seals, and reopen vaults on humanitarian grounds. Vault 101 becomes a launch-point for relief convoys; Vault 111’s cryopods are repurposed into emergency medical pods.
3. Consolidating the Wastes: Region by Region
A. Capital Wasteland (Fallout 3)
Megaton: Defused the bomb by remote override, rebuilt the town’s water systems, and replaced Megaton’s original militia with a joint Enclave-town council.
Rivet City: Funded the pre-War drydock repairs, offering safe harbor to survivors in exchange for trade rights.
Tenpenny Towers → Canterbury Commons: Converted Tenpenny Towers into a mixed-income housing complex, rebranded Canterbury Commons, and banned ghoulish discrimination.
Underworld & Paradise Falls: Ended Paradise Falls’ slavery ring by granting emancipation and vocational training; turned Underworld into a research hub for ghoul medicine.
Little Lamplight & Big Town: Integrated youth-run Little Lamplight into a tri-council youth program; established Big Town as the Wasteland’s first cooperative farming network.
Arefu & The Pitt Outposts: Rescued children in Arefu by neutralizing Nightkin threats, and set up anti-corruption oversight in The Pitt’s rebuilt smelting works.
B. New Vegas Mojave (Fallout: New Vegas)
Goodsprings & Sloan: Funded the clinic in Goodsprings and reopened the solar plant in Sloan, offering free solar tech training to locals.
Primm & Nipton: Redeveloped the roller-coaster in Primm as a water tower and rebuilt Nipton under strict anti-Purist security protocols.
Freeside & The Strip: Negotiated an “Enclave Compact” with Mr. House to underwrite Strip security in exchange for law-and-order oversight, while outlawing slavery in Freeside.
The Slog & Westside: Introduced hydroponic gardens in The Slog, and established a vocational school in Westside teaching robotics maintenance.
Boulder City & Nellis AFB: Used Fortification technology to restore Boulder City’s dam and reactivate limited AFB radar for regional weather forecasting.
Novac & Jacobstown: Converted the dinosaur statues at Novac into radiation-shielded shelters, and funded medical research in Jacobstown, offering advanced prosthetics to Nightkin and ghouls alike.
Bunker Hill & Republic of Dave: Turned Bunker Hill into a model civic center; recognized the Republic of Dave as a self-governing micronation under Enclave protection.
C. Commonwealth (Fallout 4)
Sanctuary Hills & Diamond City: Launched the “Sanctuary Rebuild Project” to retrofit houses with solar panels; underwrote Diamond City’s blast-door retrofitting and created the first elective “Mayor’s Council.”
Goodneighbor & The Slog: Supplied Goodneighbor with medical teams to combat drug abuse; in The Slog (again), rolled out mycoremediation pods to detoxify farmland.
Castle & Vault-Tec Instances: Reinstated the Minutemen’s Castle as a joint defense training ground; reopened Vaults 106, 108, and 112 to rescue and rehabilitate vault dwellers.
Covenant & Paradise Falls: Abolished forced sterilizations in Covenant and provided full healthcare; in Paradise Falls (again), repurposed the arena into a vocational amphitheater.
Underworld & Little Lamplight: Expanded Underworld research into synth medicine; installed a youth apprenticeship program in Little Lamplight, linking it to Commonwealth universities.
Evergreen Mills & Grayditch: Deployed mobile emergency clinics at Evergreen Mills and funded the reconstruction of Grayditch’s bridge to reestablish trade.
4. Why They Outshine NCR and BoS
Holistic Aid Over Militarism
Unlike the NCR’s bureaucratic delays or the BoS’s tech-hoarding, Reformist Enclave pairs immediate humanitarian aid (water, medicine, shelter) with long-term civic investment.
Technology with Transparency
All Enclave tech transfers come with open-source manuals. No secret vaults of power armor or locked-away pre-War data.
Local Empowerment Councils
Every town installs a mixed Enclave-local council, ensuring genuine representation rather than martial law or conquest.
Rights & Citizenship
Any wastelander can earn Enclave citizenship through service in community projects—no genetic purity tests, only communal contribution.
Most Relevant Non-Canonical Sources Reviewed
Enclave reformist faction (Fandom) – A community thread outlining the idea of a “benevolent, egalitarian Enclave”.
Enclave Rising (FanFiction.net) – Early fanfic of a Reformist Enclave rebuilding in the Mojave.
America Reborn (FanFiction.net) – A series about Douglas Granite leading Reformists.
Other fan works (containing similar premises) all proved non-canonical and lightly detailed, so this outline remains an original, game-agnostic speculation.
