Love In the Air is getting a Japanese adaptation.
Things have come a full circle for MeMindY in a way. It was while traveling through Japan in November 2018 that MAME decided to start a production house to film series based on her novel in her own way.
Looks like it is a fan project of sorts based on what creators has to say on the project website, so it makes sense that it is MeMindY’s project that gets Japanese adaptation. (If not, it would have been GMMTV, BOC or some other government-supported production company that engaged in Thai government’s Commerce Ministry department facilitated “BL as soft power” negotiations with their Japanese counterparts.
more on this here)
This adaptation is not surprising considering the crowd that showed up at MAME’s Japanese fan-meet consisted of older folk too. It reminds me of Chen Hao producing Stay with Me. While I would be happy to have more bottom-up, demand-driven productions rather than top-down, supply-driven ones, it makes me worried too. I had previously expressed my wish for popular BL manga and novels to get live action adaptation. Now, we have a handful of live action based on works that have won Chil-chil awards but those adaptations have been disappointing to say the least.
source
I am a little worried about production quality. Hopefully, they’ll manage to balance cost and quality since this project’s return on investment would be a signal to future initiatives. I am excited for Shoma who gave an excellent performance in the unfortunately gelded adaptation of the super-popular manga 25 Ji, Akasaka de. I am eager to know who will play Saifah (hopefully they'll retain that character) and Chai.
My Insane Wishlist: Non-Thai adaptation of MAME’s BL
Breath – Japanese live action adaptation TulHin was one of the side couples in Love by Chance 2 but I want an adaptation that stays true to the spirit of their story. In addition, it will be really nice to see Hin in violet rope shibari in the hotel getaway scene. All the shibari scenes we got so far in live action BL has been fleeting and of very little consequence. Japan should attempt adapting this into period piece set in Taisho or early Showa era. The novel is well suited for an adaptation set in that period with rapidly changing position of the aristocracy in the society, conflict between old and new orders, nouveau riche industrialists, feudal households with retainers performing multiple functions, specific forms of xenophobia, grand balls, arranged marriages, intergenerational power struggle, familism and ample space for intrigue. Also, Japan has a good track record of being sincere in their depiction of complexities of androphilic male x androphilic female interactions – they can make Tul's struggle heart-wrenching to watch.
OatShin from Test Love and OatShin Diary – Tamil-Marathi bilingual movie adaptation with Harshvardhan Rane as Shin, Arjun Das as Oat and Suriya as Akira (Shin's cousin brother). In the novel Love Storm from which Love in the Air is adapted, it is Oat and not Prapai who is the best street racer in their circuit. Saifah, Oat and Saifah's girlfriend are in fact friends and classmates from college - depicted in Test Love. Oat's boyfriend Shinji was his junior in college. Shin is friends with characters from Love By Chance. Their relationship starts at the end of Test Love and in OatShin Diaries we get to see them navigate long distance relationship, familial acceptance and work-life balance as salarymen. OatShin has a very cute dynamic - they are a riba CP (reversible couple) with a lot of push and pull. Shin is super sly and sensitive and I can see Harshvardhan teasing the hell out of whoever he is paired with. Arjun Das probably can't do racer very well - so just get him that ATV from Por for added illegality. He would be perfect as Oat and very adorable too.
Try Me: Chai Win – manga (Japanese) or manhwa (Korean) adaptation with minimal censor bars – Chai’s pearlings needs to exist in 2D version.
Try Me: Chai Win – Turkish live action adaptation – I think Pawit-bey has a nice ring to it and I would pay to listen to it for 40 episodes of 2-hour length each. Maybe some over the top honorifics would be more suitable coming from Chai’s mouth like efendi. Mert Yazicioglu or Ali Yagci as Win and Can Yaman as Chai.
Chai appeared in Love in the Air as a crucial minor character who comes to Phayu's rescue. He has a love story of his own with Pakin's civilian* cousin brother, Pawit aka Win, that is complicated by duty and obligations and extortive meddling by Pakin's dad (the kingpin).

oooh is it Holi tomorrow? :DD can you give us some ideas or headcanons about James celebrating Holi with his parents/Sirius/Harry? <33
Honestly, depending on a few factors, everyone celebrates Holi on a different day (the traditions for Holi are different depending on the sect of Hinduism and region of celebration as well). Also, North Indian होली and Maharashtrian होळी (search up the differences in pronunciation, it's a bit hard to describe) are two completely different religious holidays. The Hindi होली (ho-lee) is equivalent to the Marathi "ranga panchami" (ranga- colour, panchami- fifth day of a lunar cycle). As far as I know, the Marathi होळी doesn't have an equivalent.
The traditions I'm going by are my family traditions— the Marathi traditions of my region— so i hope you enjoy. Let's goooo!
Oh yeah, this is before Harry turns eleven and goes to Hogwarts.
The day of होळी signifies the first day of spring in Maharashtra. Every year, the members of the Black-Potter family start the day by watching the sunrise together with cups of spicy chaha (marathi for chai).
The day is pretty much the usual, except for food. James cooks up a storm in the kitchen, making all the pancha pakwaan (pancha- five, pakwaan- dishes) with puran poli (a sweet flatbread), three different vegetables, rice, amti (somewhat like daal, either drunk from the bowl or poured over rice), and a traditional dessert. They invite the Weasleys, the Marauders and the Longbottoms over, and have a veritable feast for lunch and dinner. A very chaotic affair, but the Black-Potters love it.
All three of them absolutely adore panchamrut (pancha- five, amrut- nectar of the Gods. It's made of five ingredients- milk, ghee, sugar, curd, honey). Once James is done with his pooja and the naividya (the first morsel/sip of any food/drink is always offered to the Gods), the three of them pounce on the drink with all the vigour of someone who hasn't had anything to eat for days.
As the evening draws closer, Harry, the Weasley kids, Neville, and Lily and Remus out to the woods that surround the house and collect dried wood for. Meanwhile, James, Sirius and Peter gather the panchamrut and a bite each of the pancha pakwaan, and ready the porch for lighting a safe fire with the help of the Molly, Arthur, Augusta, Alice and Frank.
Just as the sun sets, the bonfire is lit, and the blaze reaches high into the sky within minutes, helped along by magic. Everyone sits around it in a circle, closing their eyes and praying— the fire signifies the destruction of the bad energy of the previous year and the purification of the soul for a better new year. Holi is the first day of spring, a mark of new beginnings, a symbol of clean slates and fresh starts. The Holi fire is where you throw all your baggage of the last year so it burns till it is gone, to prepare yourself for the upcoming year.
The pancha pakwaan and panchamrut are poured into the fire to loud cheers from the children, and then the real festivities begin. Everyone walks around the fire in a circle, howling at the top of their lungs. The sounds are slightly terrifying, especially when the darkness really sets in and the only light is the massive bonfire, but Harry loves the ferality of the entire thing. It's primal, the way the war cries rise up with the fire, echoing throughout the massive grounds of Potter Manor like the echoes of screaming ghosts.
Sometimes, Harry, Ginny and the Weasley twins start war dances instead of the howling. Those times, Bill and Charlie eagerly join in along with James, Lily and Alice, and the hard and fast thumping of their feet on the packed mud porch makes it seem like an earthquake is cracking the ground open.
Other times, they write their mistakes, insecurities, bad thoughts and regrets of the past year onto slips of paper and throw them into the fire, to signify the new start. Last year does not matter anymore; it is done and you cannot change it. You can have a new beginning, though, and Harry vows every year that he will be a better person.
James loves these times, where everyone he cares about is close to him and glowing with happiness. Holi is his favourite festival, because it is the day he and Sirius kissed for the first time. It is the day he remembers with fondness— childhood years spent with his parents and grandparents and cousins in a crowded wada (kind of like a palace but the size varies from anywhere between four bedrooms to like 70), sneaking panchamrut from under his mother's nose, dancing Garba around the fire with his Gujju friends in India, the day the Potter family first moved to Britain right before his 11th birthday. People expect his favourite festival to be Diwali or Ganpati Chaturthi because they are loud and huge and phenomenal celebrations, but his favourite is this— all his favourite people in the same place with the same happy smile and the same traditions that he loved when he had blood family.
Holi is a festival for families and loved ones, and the Black-Potters have a lot of love to go around. Family isn't defined by blood, after all.

2023 year stats!!! Wow its been a year since ive shown u one of these... amazing
anyways not too much to say here i don't think! Although can you believe its been almost a year since i stopped learning ukrainian.... weird
something thats interesting to me is that i've spent more time on czech this past year than ukrainian the year previous... and just on duolingo, somehow?! There's no way I'm 2 months away from finishing the czech tree!!!
I suppose the courses could have been different lengths to start out with, but I do blame the redesign they did... I still don't like it, lol. (Other factors could be: czech has No Cyrillic so i cant read it as well)
As far as the other languages go — I really can't believe it was only this year I finished 50languages?! Year so long... but anyways, after that i will be honest with you: most of my active belarusian studying has been solely anki and (mostly) daily search of the wordle. The other most is People I Follow On Tumblr and tiktok (theres belarusians on there)
Russian is about the same as I've been doing. Slogging through 5,000 words of top 10,000 on memrise still. Probably about 2,500 of the way through. Probably at LEAST 2 more years of slog...
Maybe it doesn't serve much of a purpose, but i'd feel weird having the extra time. Like, no, i'm supposed to be Doing Something at 14:45,,, and, yknow, sometimes i encounter these words in the wild. (Not so much anymore though)
Doing my best to keep up with polygloss for russian, too! It's fun but I never know how to describe the images so a lot of matches get sent into the ether... oops 😅
As for marathi, well................................. nanowrimo happened. Is putting it shortly - actually, I started doing something else in november, and with that, languages, and nano... it was a lot! So I did not do much marathi in november specifically because of that. The rest of the year, well... hmmm. The less said the better?
Well, anyways, it's because of having to spend the same amount of energy almost on czech at the same time, *and* because of the Something Else i've been doing. So - I do want to learn it! Spending time on marathi would be great, actually! I am just Busy. And thus it has been relegated to anki only for the better part of the year if i remember right 😔 someday...
Sidenote, at the rate I'm typing this will be posted after midnight..... well, i wanted to put it out there yesterday night, but i couldn't decide what to say, lol. January 2nd is still New of new years, right??
To be honest, I haven't really thought about any language plans for this year... i know russian and belarusian well enough to read posts & such, and I have the mental fortitude to read books i understand maybe 25% of, but listening and talking I'd say are probably where I need the most improvement. (Writing, well... I'll get back to you once i can learn grammar effectively). With everything as it is now, I'm not sure there's much to be done about that, but maybe I'll figure something out here sooner or later... maybe.
I know I want to finish the czech tree on duolingo, and then I'll pick another language from my duo list and the cycle shall begin anew... and then in 12 years either duo will be dead or i will not wish to learn languages any more (a scary thought). OR i will speedrun every language on my list to the best of my ability and then never touch duo again (no streak, no badges... i think monthly badges are like the Only duo thing that actually works on me because i Need To Collect. ah, fomo...)
As for marathi, if I can manage to pull it out of hibernation alongside all that duolingo nonsense, then by god i'll do it 🫡 if i learned* one language by being exceedingly slow at it I can do it again!!
*referring to russian so perhaps its not accurate to say "learned" still but my point stands
...
Anyways yeah!!! Idk how to end this so з новым годам (late) to u all and good luck & wishes for the new year <3 things may never be perfect but at least i can hope they will be better 👍 🎉🎉🎉

This image of Roshni and Bram came to me in December as an idea for a winter season or winter solstice picture, then perhaps a solar New Year one. It’s kinda late for either. What are they doing? What does it represent? I have no idea, this is just what came to my mind so I drew it. . .eventually, anyway. Roshni is specifically of Marathi and Parsi heritage, so I based her necklaces on Marathi jewelry; the choker is called a chinchpeti and the long necklace is a tanmani style. The gesture she’s making is called abhaya, a mudra (ritual gesture in Hinduism, Jainism and Buddhism) that represents protection, peace, and the dispelling of fear. Why? I don’t know! Just take it as is. Hey, the lunar new year is in a few days, perhaps she’s giving you good wishes for that! And Bram is just. . .there, lol. Background pic is two free-use photos from Pexels and Pixabay layered on top of each other at varying opacities. Also hello yes I logged in.
#my art#cute cow ears in their human form is not canon to this blog but I thought it would be cute for art#l

Discovering Music’s Role in Emotional Expression
Music is a universal language that transcends cultural barriers, touching hearts and minds worldwide. It has the power to evoke emotions, spark memories, and even heal wounds. Whether it’s the pulsating beats of a hip-hop track or the soothing melodies of soft music, each genre resonates with listeners in its own unique way. In this article, we’ll explore how music serves as a profound medium for emotional expression by diving into various styles and artists who have mastered the art of emotional storytelling.
1. JayZ: An Emotional Journey Through Rap
Rap music is often associated with bold, hard-hitting lyrics, but beneath the surface lies a deep well of emotional expression. Few artists have mastered this duality as effectively as JayZ. His music captures the highs and lows of his personal journey, from the struggles of growing up in Brooklyn’s Marcy Projects to becoming one of the most influential artists in the world.
JayZ’s ability to weave emotional depth into his tracks sets him apart. Songs like “Song Cry” showcase vulnerability as he reflects on lost love, while tracks like “Empire State of Mind” celebrate resilience and ambition. Through his music, JayZ demonstrates how rap can be more than just beats and rhymes—it can be a window into the soul.
2. Top 10 Marathi Songs of All Time: A Symphony of Emotion
Regional music often serves as a repository of cultural emotions, and the top 10 Marathi songs of all time are no exception. These songs are steeped in tradition, reflecting the joys, sorrows, and aspirations of the Marathi-speaking community.
One standout example is “Mala Jau De” from the movie Sairat, a heartfelt melody that captures the innocence and intensity of first love. On the other hand, songs like “Bhavartha Ruchira” delve into spiritual devotion, offering listeners a sense of peace and connection to the divine. The beauty of these songs lies in their ability to evoke universal emotions while staying rooted in regional culture, proving that music is both local and global in its reach.
3. Soft Music Songs: The Art of Serenity
In today’s fast-paced world, finding moments of calm can be challenging. That’s where soft music songs come into play. This genre is designed to soothe the soul, offering an auditory escape from life’s chaos.
Soft music excels in creating an atmosphere of relaxation and introspection. Songs like Ludovico Einaudi’s “Nuvole Bianche” or Norah Jones’ “Come Away With Me” evoke feelings of tranquility, making them perfect for unwinding after a long day. These tracks often rely on simple yet profound compositions, emphasizing melody over complexity.
Beyond relaxation, soft music has therapeutic benefits. Studies show that it can lower stress levels, improve focus, and even aid in healing. For many, soft music becomes a trusted companion during moments of emotional turbulence, offering solace and comfort.
4. Moose Wala’s New Song: Bridging Generations
Sidhu Moose Wala’s influence on Punjabi music cannot be overstated. His ability to infuse contemporary elements into traditional Punjabi tunes has made him a household name. His new song continues this legacy, blending powerful lyrics with a rhythm that appeals to both older and younger generations.
Moose Wala’s music often delves into themes of identity, resilience, and cultural pride. For instance, his hit “295” addresses social issues with raw honesty, while tracks like “Legend” highlight personal struggles and triumphs. His latest release is no different, featuring a heartfelt narrative that resonates deeply with his audience.
Through his innovative approach, Moose Wala ensures that Punjabi music remains relevant and emotionally impactful. His songs are not just entertainment—they are anthems of empowerment for his listeners.
5. Popular Japanese Songs: Emotions Beyond Words
Japan’s music scene is a fascinating blend of tradition and modernity. The country’s popular Japanese songs often evoke a wide range of emotions, from nostalgia to euphoria. These tracks showcase the artistry of blending traditional instruments like the koto and shamisen with contemporary sounds.
One example is the song “Ue o Muite Arukou” by Kyu Sakamoto, known globally as “Sukiyaki.” This timeless classic expresses heartbreak with a hopeful undertone, making it universally relatable. Modern J-pop artists like Hikaru Utada and Kenshi Yonezu continue this tradition, crafting songs that resonate emotionally while embracing cutting-edge production techniques.
Whether it’s the haunting beauty of a ballad or the infectious energy of a pop hit, Japanese music captures emotions in a way that transcends language barriers.
6. The Science Behind Music and Emotions
The connection between music and emotions is not just artistic—it’s deeply rooted in science. When we listen to music, our brains release dopamine, a chemical associated with pleasure and reward. This is why a powerful song can give us chills or make us cry.
Different genres affect the brain in unique ways. Upbeat tracks stimulate the release of endorphins, boosting mood and energy levels, while slower, softer songs can lower cortisol levels, reducing stress. Music therapy is even used in clinical settings to help patients cope with anxiety, depression, and trauma.
Understanding the science behind music’s emotional impact only deepens our appreciation for its power.
7. How Music Helps in Emotional Healing
For centuries, people have turned to music for emotional healing. Whether it’s a breakup playlist or a motivational anthem, the right song can provide comfort and strength.
Grief, in particular, finds solace in music. Songs like Eric Clapton’s “Tears in Heaven” and Adele’s “Someone Like You” resonate with those experiencing loss, offering a sense of shared pain and understanding.
Music also plays a crucial role in recovery. Veterans suffering from PTSD, for instance, have found relief through music therapy programs that use rhythms and melodies to process trauma.
8. Personalizing Your Emotional Playlist
Creating a playlist tailored to your emotions can be a transformative experience. Here are some tips:
For Relaxation: Include tracks from soft music songs.
For Empowerment: Add motivational anthems like “Stronger” by Kanye West or “Roar” by Katy Perry.
For Nostalgia: Explore regional hits like the top 10 Marathi songs of all time.
For Cultural Exploration: Dive into popular Japanese songs.
A well-curated playlist can act as a soundtrack to your life, enhancing your emotional journey.
Conclusion
Music is more than just sound—it’s a powerful tool for emotional expression and connection. From the raw honesty of JayZ to the soothing serenity of soft music songs, each genre offers something unique to the listener. Whether it’s helping us process emotions, celebrate victories, or find solace in tough times, music remains an indispensable part of the human experience.
So, next time you’re feeling overwhelmed or inspired, turn to music. Let it be your companion, your confidant, and your guide.
What’s your go-to song for emotional healing? Share it in the comments below!

How Music Creates Universal Connections
Music is one of the most powerful forms of expression, transcending barriers of language, culture, and geography. A single melody can evoke joy, sorrow, nostalgia, or hope, uniting people through shared emotions. The advent of modern technologies like streaming songs has revolutionized how we interact with music, making it more accessible and personal. Whether through universally celebrated tracks like the top 10 love songs of all time or culturally rich compositions like famous Marathi songs, music continues to bridge gaps and build connections across generations and cultures.
In this article, we’ll explore the diverse impact of music—from the way it shapes our personal playlists to its role in global and regional culture. Let’s celebrate the timeless magic of music and its role in bringing people together.
Streaming: A Revolution in Music Access
The shift to streaming songs has completely transformed how music is consumed. Decades ago, music lovers relied on physical formats like vinyl records, cassettes, and CDs. Today, we can access an infinite library of songs on-demand through platforms like Spotify, Apple Music, and YouTube Music.
Streaming has made it possible to explore music from all corners of the world, from Western pop hits to regional folk gems. It’s not just about convenience; it’s about personalization. Algorithms now recommend playlists tailored to your taste, helping you discover hidden gems or relive old favorites. Furthermore, streaming provides a platform for emerging artists to reach a global audience, breaking down barriers to entry in the music industry.
The Legacy of Hip Hop: Stories That Resonate
Hip hop is more than just beats and rhymes—it’s a movement that tells stories of resilience, identity, and change. The best hip hop albums ever, like The Marshall Mathers LP by Eminem and The Low End Theory by A Tribe Called Quest, are celebrated not only for their musical innovation but also for their cultural significance.
These albums capture the struggles and triumphs of life in urban settings, addressing themes of inequality, ambition, and self-expression. They have inspired generations of listeners and continue to shape the global music scene. Hip hop’s ability to combine personal storytelling with broader social commentary is what makes it an enduring genre.
Love Songs: The Universal Language of Emotion

Kerovit Ad Campaign - A Journey to Premium Bathware Success
The Kerovit ad campaign’s journey with Apppl Combine demonstrates the importance of a clear and consistent brand strategy, particularly in competitive markets.
Introduction Kerovit, launched in 2014 as Kajaria’s premier bathware and sanitaryware brand, quickly became known for its high-quality, innovative products. However, despite these strengths, Kerovit initially faced challenges gaining a prominent place in the competitive premium bathware market in India. As competition intensified, Kerovit struggled with visibility, inconsistent marketing, fragmented online presence, and the absence of a unified brand narrative, all of which impacted its brand equity. Recognizing the need for a structured marketing approach, Kerovit embarked on a transformative ad campaign designed to address these challenges and boost its visibility.
Objective of the Kerovit Ad Campaign The campaign’s primary objective was to amplify Kerovit’s visibility, emphasizing its unique selling propositions (USPs) and establishing a stronger premium appeal. By crafting a clear and cohesive brand narrative, the goal was to capture consumer attention, build brand momentum, and ultimately position Kerovit as an aspirational yet accessible choice in the bathware sector. This vision required a distinct shift in how the brand communicated its value, ensuring consumers could clearly see Kerovit as a top choice in quality and design without a steep price tag.
Campaign Strategy: The Multi-Content and Films (MCF) Approach Kerovit’s ad campaign strategy revolved around solidifying the brand's position in the minds of consumers through distinct brand differentiators. The brand introduced the innovative Multi-Content and Films (MCF) strategy—a versatile content model that varied content formats to keep the audience engaged and prevent content fatigue. By curating an array of captivating content types, Kerovit could reach a broader audience while sustaining viewer interest. Coupled with focused digital marketing efforts, this approach allowed the brand to broaden its reach across multiple platforms and engage with consumers meaningfully.
Execution of the Kerovit Ad Campaign Kerovit launched the “Best Buy Sale” as an initial campaign to highlight its premium offerings at accessible price points. Through four high-impact ad films and extensive digital display ads, the campaign highlighted Kerovit’s unique appeal, attracting substantial consumer interest. This success paved the way for the “Gift a Bathroom” campaign, which featured seven ad films in Hindi, Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu, Bangla, Gujarati, and Marathi. By presenting the idea of gifting a bathroom, the campaign struck an emotional note with consumers, building brand loyalty and expanding Kerovit’s appeal across diverse demographics.
Results The results of these campaigns were transformative. The brand’s digital initiatives exceeded expectations, achieving a view rate of over 50%—more than double the industry benchmark for similar campaigns. With over 200 million views and engagement rates far surpassing expectations, Kerovit reached new heights of brand recognition, all while keeping costs significantly below industry norms. This robust performance solidified Kerovit’s growth in the premium bathware market, establishing a benchmark for successful branding in this sector.
Conclusion The Kerovit ad campaign’s journey with Apppl Combine demonstrates the importance of a clear and consistent brand strategy, particularly in competitive markets. By staying true to its brand values and emphasizing the accessibility of premium bathware, Kerovit has successfully repositioned itself as an aspirational brand for modern Indian households. This campaign illustrates the power of emotional storytelling and strategic positioning, paving the way for Kerovit’s continued success.
