How to get a Job in the USA as an International Student
After higher education, many people dream of living permanently in America, because of availability in the job. I didn’t find much of it in the group so I tried something myself to write. This effort will be successful only if it benefits someone.    Today I will tell you a description of how to apply for an Employment Authorization.
First of all, there are usually two ways to do jobs in the USA
Curricular Practical Training (CPT): This is applicable only for before graduation. This job is validating for only 12 months. (for full-time job)
Optional Practical Training (OTP): This term for 12 months for the first time.24 months is applicable only for STEM students.
It is applied before or after graduation. That means if you want to stay permanently through employment you have to go through this process.
Details of Optional Practical Training Application Required Documents:
1.Form i-765(attached with new i-20 from DSO)
2.Both side photocopy of I-94
3. photocopy of Employment Authorization Document (EAD)(if before)
4.  2 copies passport size photo (2”x2”)
The photo should be colorful and the background must be white/off white.
Head height should be 1” to 1.375” from top to bottom of the chin, and eye height between 1.125’’ to 1.375” from the bottom of the photo.
Write your name and i-94 number with pencil on the back of the picture
Photocopy of passport( CV and VISA)
All previous i-20 photocopy.
Check or money orders amounting $410 in favor of Department of Homeland Security
Form i-765:
Link:  https://www.uscis.gov/i-765
Form Item#20  ( c )( 3 )(B) must be written when applying for the first time Post Completion(OPT) of Application
All other instructions are available at the link above
The mailing address for everything can be found here
https://www.uscis.gov/forms/forms-information/uscisphoenix-and-dallas-lockbox
Remember to send any address depending on the current address of the student
NOTE:
Starting OTP at any time within 60 days after the graduation date. It is illegal to be employed somewhere in the middle of the graduation date and  OTP start date.
According to the USCIS website, you are supposed to get the ID card within 90 days after applying for OTP. But usually, it comes before the due date. However, it should be applied for at least two and a half months before.
USCI also sends a receipt notice within 2 to 4 weeks of receiving the application. This is very important because the application status can be checked using the confirmation number
Before accepting a job offer, it is good to see if they are E-verified. Because only these E-verified companies can apply for h1b visa starting from
OPT extension. However, the company does not need to be E-verified for the initial 12 months OPT.

Happy Job Hunting!
The first step in getting a job in the USA is to apply for OPD. Now it’s time to look for a job. I would like to shed light on this in today’s episode
Needless to say, going through this second step is much more challenging than the first step.
The main reason for this is not that America’s job market is bad.
The real reason is the reluctance of most companies to hire international students.
I have seen from my own experience that many times even after having comparatively more qualifications,
They give more priority to the people of their country than to a foreigner.
This may seem unfair at first glance, but if you look at it from a company perspective, the reason is easy to understand.
If you want to hire a foreigner, a company has to take some extra trouble, which no one wants to take except the big companies.
Besides, there are jobs for which security clearance is required. For which it is compulsory to be an American citizen. That’s why it is better to find out a little about the company when applying for a job
How to find a job
There are three ways to find a job
1. Through networking.
2. Apply directly online.
3.Through consulting firm stuffing/agency.
First comes networking
In some places like Bangladesh, people still get jobs without much evaluation. America doesn’t go for that.
Here you can get a job interview with reference.
Usually the rest of the time you have to qualify, but that’s not to say that it’s less important. Because big companies can have up to a few hundred candidates for a post, and most of them never get a chance to interview with the hiring manager.
Many are left out of the automated application selection because they do not have the correct keyword in their resume/cv.
The rest of his fate was decided after an initial interview with the recruits.
So the reference is very important to get through this initial step and the best way to get it is networking.
The best person to give a reference to is someone who knows you well and can be your professor, your research colleague, your University alumni (your own country, and another country). But there are ways to do networking, for example, if you are not looking for a research-related job, Research gate can be a good platform for you.
But the easiest and most effective place for networking is LinkedIn. Suppose you apply to a company.
The first thing to find out is whether you have any of your university alumni in the company.
If you don’t find it through the link, contact some people of the company, show them your resume. If they can make a good impression, they may agree to refer you for a post.
There is no problem even if you do not get any references.
At least you can get an idea about Company Culture, Hiring
A strategy that may help shortly.
Now let’s talk about direct application. Networking is a time-consuming affair and in many cases, it is not possible to do so. In this case, there is no option to apply directly to the job.
It can be through the company’s web link like LinkedIn or an app.
But I warn you that the success rate of applying directly is very low.
Maybe you can get a reply from 10 to 15 by applying to one hundred positions.
Here are some strategies that can increase your response rate
Such as arranging your blog, LinkedIn profile, or website, etc. But the most important thing is a good Resume and cover letter.
Features of a good resume and cover letter
1. Should be One page
2. Specifically Targeted for that Job (Most important!)
3. Should Include Summary, List of Core Competencies and Keywords
Remember, Resume and Cover
A letter is not the same. They
should relate to one another, but
their goal is different. While
a resume gives an overview of your
qualifications, your cover letter
gives details.
Finally, you can get a job through any consultancy firm or staffing agency.
I do not have much experience in this field but in most cases, these firms get a certain amount of money in exchange for giving jobs.
Particularly, various Indian firms take 30% to 40% of your monthly salary in exchange for a job.
They resort to fake documents and other lies to get a job so it is better not to go to them.
Find them here http://desiopt.com/
Where to look for a job:
Find any subject job here
1. Indeed
2.Monster
3.LinkedIn
4.Glassdoor (a best informative site about salary)
5.Career Builder
You can find only Engineering/Technology related job here
1. Engineer jobs
2. Dice
4. hire engineering
To find a government job in America
USAJobs
You can learn about various tips, tricks, and strategies related to jobs and interviews.
1.The Muse
2. Mentat
But all in all, the best site I’ve ever seen is LinkedIn. a separate post is needed about how to use LinkedIn to get a job. So I did not go here in that context, you can find out some of my tips by Google
Finally some tips of my own
1. It is necessary to have a neat and informative  LinkedIn profile  (With Professional Photo)
2. It is good to be able to get references but it is not a problem if you can’t. You can apply in 200 places but it would not be better to give the same Resume everywhere. Do it in 50 places but resume so that the job is specific.
3. It is better not to give any false information while applying. You will be caught at some stage.
4. If you have profiles on different websites, they will send you job news based on qualifications. For those who do not have enough time to find a job, I will talk about this in the next part of the work.
Needless to say, all of this is written from my own experience, so if anyone has any comments or suggestions, please let me know in the comments.

The Trump Administration is blocking shipments from a Chinese company making baby pajamas sold at Costco warehouses, after the foreign manufacturer was accused of forcing ethnic minorities locked in an internment camp to sew clothes against their will.
The government is also blocking rubber gloves sold by industry leader Ansell whose customers include surgeons, mechanics and scientists around the U.S., accusing a Malaysian manufacturer of staffing its factories with migrants from Bangladesh, Nepal and other countries who went into crushing debt from paying exorbitant recruitment fees. Imports of bone charcoal from Brazil that firms like Plymouth Technology and ResinTech Inc. used to remove contaminants in U.S. water systems, diamonds from Zimbabwe and gold from eastern Democratic Republic of Congo, were stopped as well.
U.S. Customs and Border Protection on Oct. 1 slapped rare detention orders on goods imported from an unprecedented five countries in one day based on allegations that people producing those items might be children, or adults subjected to forced labor. The orders are used to hold shipping containers at the U.S. ports of entry until the agency can investigate the claims of wrongdoing.
CBP did not release information about the companies that were importing the goods covered by last week’s detention orders. But The Associated Press tracked items to several buyers, including Costco and the U.S. subsidiary of Ansell, an Australian protective gloves manufacturer. The companies said they were not aware that their products were being made with forced labor.
Acting CBP Commissioner Mark Morgan said the orders, the most issued in a single day, “shows that if we suspect a product is made using forced labor, we’ll take that product off U.S. shelves.”
Custom’s action last week is sending ripples globally, with exporters now on notice to improve labor conditions. Domestically, some U.S. importers were shaken to learn their products might have been made by people forced to work against their will or under threat of punishment. Human rights experts warn as many as 25 million people globally are victims of forced labor. In recent years, investigations by media organizations and advocacy groups have tracked products suspected of being made by forced labor as they travel from manufacturers, through brokers and dealers, into the hands of American consumers.
“CBP’s announcement is significant because of the unprecedented number of actions and for the message that it sends across corporate supply chains,” said labor advocates at Humanity United and Freedom Fund in a joint statement. “We know that myriad imported goods U.S. consumers enjoy every day — from clothing to electronics to chocolate, fruits and vegetables, and other foods — are likely tainted by forced labor in their supply chains. Making real progress to change this will require a concerted effort across and outside of government, including through strong enforcement of existing laws like this.”
Until recently, the detentions orders used to block the shipments last week would have been almost impossible.
Before 2016, the Tariff Act — which gave Customs and Border Protection the authority to seize shipments where forced labor was suspected and block further imports — had been used only 39 times over its first 85 years, largely because of two words: “consumptive demand” —meaning if there was not sufficient supply to meet domestic demand, imports were allowed regardless of how they were produced.
After an AP investigation found that seafood caught by slaves in Southeast Asia was ending up in restaurants and markets around the U.S. with impunity because of the loophole, Congress and President Barrack Obama changed the law . Since then, under both the Obama and Trump administrations, CBP has used its detention authority 12 times to stop shipments, including those last week.
Under the law, U.S. importers have 90 days to prove no forced labor was used to produce their products. If they can’t, they can either ship their products to another country or surrender them to Customs.
Costco pajamas
One major case from last week involves China’s Hetian Taida Apparel, which AP reported last year was forcing Uigher Muslims and other ethnic minorities to sew clothes for U.S. importers inside a Chinese re-education camp.
This was one of a growing number of internment camps in China’s far western Xinjiang region, where by some estimates 1 million Muslims are politically indoctrinated while detained and forced to give up their language and their religion. The Washington-based Worker Rights Consortium published further evidence this year that Hetian Taida was doing business both inside a camp, and at nearby state-subsidized factories where detainees are sent once they are released.
In response, Hetian Taida’s U.S. buyer Badger Sportswear, in Statesville, North Carolina, cut off imports and Hetian Taida stopped exporting to the U.S., according to records published by ImportGenius, which tracks shipping activity around the world.
But last month, Costco Wholesale Corp. began importing baby pajamas made by the company. On September 21, 2019 and again on Sept. 26, 2019, Hetian Taida sent shipping containers filled with 100% polyester blanket sleepers for babies and toddlers to the U.S., labeled for Costco, according to shipping records.
In an interview with the AP, Costco officials said “we believe (the baby sleepers) were made in a factory other than the one that was the subject of the CBP detention order. As the facts develop, we’re prepared to consider what action we should take relative to the issue of a supplier to our supplier owning factories that may have problems.”
As of last weekend, the microfleece, zippered pajamas, sold under the label Absorba, were seen by an AP reporter on some Costco shelves in packs of two, for $14.99.
Scott Nova, executive director of Worker Rights Consortium, said he was shocked that Costco agreed to do business with a firm already associated with China’s re-education camps. “The Chinese government has created a human rights nightmare for the Uighur people and Hetian Taida has been an active partner in Beijing’s brutality. The company’s use of forced labor is well documented and CBP is right to act,” said Nova.
Reached by phone on Monday, Hetian Taida Chairman Wu Hongbo told the AP that the company will cooperate with U.S. Customs and provide the agency with any documents it needs. Wu declined to answer further questions and said he has chosen to reject all media interview requests.
Rubber gloves
Meanwhile in Malaysia, which supplies half of the world’s medical exam and surgical gloves, government and industry officials were shaken that one of their own — WRP Asia Pacific — had its products detained by Customs for allegations of forced labor.
The news sent Malaysian ministry officials immediately to the U.S. Embassy for information on how much of the rubber glove industry would be affected by the U.S. government actions. It later sparked an anxious rubber glove manufacturer’s town hall.
“The industry has since last year worked on social compliance initiatives in order to continuously improve the welfare of the employees in the rubber glove industry,” the Malaysian Rubber Export Promotion Council said in a statement.
Workers at WRP and many other rubber glove factories have been forced to pay staggering fees as high as $5,000 in their home countries, including Bangladesh and Nepal, for jobs that don’t meet their promise, said activist Andy Hall, who has advocated on behalf of Southeast Asian migrant laborers. Some of the rubber glove makers don’t pay workers for months, house them in unkempt and overcrowded conditions, hold their passports so they can’t leave and don’t allow them to quit, he said.
Hall said CBP’s detention orders “fired a starting gun to warn both Malaysian and Thai governments that rubber manufactured products like gloves, condoms, medical equipment as well as an array of other labor intensive products from the region that are currently manufactured using systemic migrant forced labor cannot be exported to the US.”
WRP importers include some of the leading medical suppliers in the U.S. like global giant Ansell, as well as smaller firms like Bay Medical Company Inc. in Brisbane, California.
In a statement, Ansell said it was ending its business with WRP: “Ansell takes the labor practices of these third-party suppliers seriously, and any allegations of forced labor among the company’s suppliers are of the highest concern. ”
Bay Medical’s owner David Dorris was visiting WRP last week in Malaysia when he heard, first-hand, that his shipping container had been detained.
“We were completely blindsided,” he said. “It’s deeply disturbing for me personally and for our company.”
Dorris said he hopes the accusations are not true.
Bone charcoal, gold and diamonds
Bone charcoal manufacturer, Bonechar Carvão Ativado Ltd. in southern Brazil, said accusations leading to its CBP detention order came from a competitor’s unfounded smear campaign. Bone charcoal is made by workers who burn animal bones, mostly cattle, in sealed ovens at temperatures as high as 1,292 F (700 C). CBP alleged that Bonechar Carvão has deceptive hiring practices and abusive living and working condition.
Bonechar Carvão owner Francisco Meira said their workers are not abused, and that U.S. Customs blocked the shipment based on false allegations that have been investigated and dismissed by Brazilian authorities. Prosecutors concluded Bonechar was “framed in a criminal scam,” according to documents filed with the Office of the US Trade Representative in April 2019.
A handful of U.S. companies imported bone charcoal from the Brazilian company last year, mostly for use in water filtration, pigments and sugar refining, according to shipping records from ImportGenius. These included Plymouth Technology in Rochester Hills, Michigan, Ebonex Corporation near Detroit, ResinTech Inc. in West Berlin, New Jersey and American Charcoal Co. in Jackson, Wyoming.
AP reached out to all the firms for comment. Ebonex Corporation, the only company that responded to AP’s queries, said they were aware of the trade dispute, and that they didn’t believe Bonechar abused workers and wouldn’t import from them if they do. The other companies could not be reached for comment.
The CBP action also covers any gold mined at small artisanal mines in eastern Congo and all rough diamonds from the Marange diamond fields in Zimbabwe, areas with a history of conflict and abuse and already subject to other U.S. sanctions. Those imports are harder to track, because they aren’t specific companies.
Zimbabwe’s government, which insists it has cleaned up its diamond industry, called the U.S. decision “a blatant and shameless lie.”
Further north, in the Congo, as much as $600 million of gold smuggled out annually, often by armed groups responsible for ongoing deadly attacks, according to the United Nations. The Congolese Embassy in Washington D.C. did not respond to calls from the AP.
Advocates lauded the new orders on Congo’s gold.
“Customs action sends a strong signal to U.S. tech, financial, and other companies: either do their homework on gold from Congo and countries it is smuggled or refined in, or risk having their shipments stopped at the border,” said Sasha Lezhnev at the Washington-based Enough Project, which supports peace in Africa’s conflict zones.

Facebook Report Sprout
Tumblr media
Let’s be honest here–Facebook isn’t slowing down. There are more than 1.86 billion monthly active users on Facebook, which includes a 17% spike in two years. For your business, brand or enterprise company, this channel is unavoidable if you’re truly trying to create a worthwhile play in social media marketing.
Your Facebook marketing strategy has to be unique. There’s an ocean of potential customers you can reach on Facebook. But with a larger pool, it’s harder to dissect and find your spot within its space.
That’s why we created this Facebook marketing strategy for 2018, which includes seven essential steps to not only get started, but also create an impressive plan. Get started now.
1. Create Facebook Goals That Directly Affect Your Biggest Needs
Every marketing strategy you’ve read–at least the good ones–probably suggested to create goals for your specific market. The reason everyone mentions this is because goals are essential to address your biggest marketing needs.
If you’re considering using Facebook for marketing or looking to improve upon an existing strategy, you obviously have some needs. Don’t create unrealistic goals that chase vanity metrics like followers and Likes. Instead, address your biggest challenges with Facebook or social media in general through proper tracking tools.
Addressing Your 2018 Goals
Your CEO most likely sent out an inspiring email or gave an enthralling speech at the end of 2017 outlining the core goals for 2018. OK–maybe it wasn’t life changing, but we bet if you looked back, it has everything you need for your Facebook marketing strategy in 2018.
Here are some common yearly goals for businesses and how an effective Facebook strategy can help you in 2018:
Increasing quality of sales: Improving the quality of sales starts with better targeting (we’ll address this more further down). Through a well-planned Facebook marketing strategy, you reach your target audience more efficiently. Just because the pond is bigger, doesn’t mean you’ll get bigger fish. Work on what you know best and use Facebook as a source to improve your reach.
Adding more value to the organization: Facebook can better nurture customers, improve awareness and provide more resources to you audience. Make Facebook your go-to source of information.
Better pulse on the industry: Are your competitors always one step ahead? With the help of social media monitoring tools, you can track, listen and report on all social conversations revolving around you, your competitors or the industry. Always try to increase your listening powers before speaking.
More efficient recruiting: No one said social recruiting is easy, but it’s only growing in popularity. Social can be a great source for increasing recruiting efforts and reaching top talent faster (we’ll also talk about this more later). Working your employees’ social networks for a higher social reach makes your chances of recruiting higher quality employees better.
Smarter growth: Reducing churn, limiting spend and increasing acquisition are all parts of a successful business, but Facebook can help you in each of these areas. Whether it’s through ad spend, increased targeting or more social selling, addressing your Facebook marketing strategy can help you get closer to these goals.
These goals won’t address everyone’s needs, but you can see a trend on how better social media marketing can affect the entire organization. You’ve heard it a thousand times, work smarter not harder.
2. Study Your Facebook Demographics
Demographics are key to any marketing strategy and on social media, it’s no different. When looking at Facebook, you have nearly 1.15 billion people scrolling through their feeds every day, so it’s important to know who you need to reach and how.
Additionally, understanding the latest demographics is important as this network’s audience fluctuates through the years. But for 2018, let’s take a look at the latest data on its core demographics:
Age & Gender
Data from the Pew Social Media Update 2016 report showed women tend to adopt Facebook more frequently than men and the core age group is 18-29. However, with 62% of 65 and older users on Facebook, your band has a much better reach across age groups than any other network.
Pro Tip: don’t limit yourself because you think younger generations are only on Snapchat and Instagram. Facebook is still most used network among 18-29 year olds.
Location & Income
Facebook’s demographics spread across all primary locations and income pretty evenly. However, urban and rural areas both have 81% of their demographics on Facebook, while suburban areas make up 77%.
As for income, data shows the highest amount of Facebook users (84%) make less than $30,000, while 77% make more than $75,000.
Pro Tip: Again, Facebook’s versatility shouldn’t prevent you from exploring targeting your most core business demographic. More likely than not, you have better reaching power here than other social networks.

3. Choose & Schedule Your Facebook Content
Each social network has it’s own style of content, but Facebook tends to jump the line. With Facebook Stories, Live, image and videos posts, your brand’s content strategy has endless opportunities.
For your business, it’s about the quality of content and what your audience should come to expect from your Facebook Business Page. Remember that being overly promotional can have its downside. According to the Sprout Social Q3 2016 Index, 57.5% of social media users said posting too many promotions was the most annoying action from brands.
Your Facebook Page shouldn’t be like a used car lot–full of ready-to-pound salesmen. The content you produce should be compelling, entertaining or helpful to your audience. People know they can get an elevator pitch on your website or ad. But this doesn’t mean your social networks, especially Facebook, have to be a home for promotions.
Highlight your brand values, identify your audiences and create a space that is unique to your company.
Types of Facebook Content & How to Implement
So you know the importance of your content, but which type will work best for your brand? Let’s take a look at the various types of organic Facebook content and how you can best use each one:
Status: The simplest form of communication can sometimes be the most powerful. With new features like larger text for shorter messages and the option to put your text on a colored background, you can get your essential message out in a more vibrant and eye-catching way.
Images: Posts with images drive 2.3 times more engagement, so being visual helps. But don’t rely on images to do all the work–put effort into high-quality photos and awe your audience. If your product is considered “boring,” use beautiful images to highlight your brand’s creative side. Inspire users with virtual reality features or 360-degree content.
Videos: Video is in high demand and 43% of users would like to see even more from marketers. However, only 15% of Facebook videos are watched with sound. Video should be accessible, easy to digest and always have captions. Create videos that catch a user’s attention and provides something worthwhile.
Links: Links are perfect for sharing industry news and your own blog content. Find your most engaged content and continue to share it on Facebook. It’s not easy doing so organically, but it shouldn’t stop you from posting your best content.
Facebook Live: Live content drives three times more engagement on Facebook. With in-the-moment content growing in popularity, see how your brand can give sneak peeks into industry or office events, product launches and other behind the scenes content. Go Live, wow your audience and engage.
Facebook Stories: Facebook Stories are in-the-moment content clips. This was based off Instagram Stories, which ultimately were from Snapchat Stories–seeing a trend here? Brands have tested their efforts on Snapchat for a few years now. But with the newest release, you can attempt this style of content with one of your biggest networks. Follow our Snapchat guide for ideas!
Schedule Facebook Content to Your Social Media Calendar
The last thing you want to do is hastily post something to Facebook for the sake of publishing content. Planning content means you put more effort into the quality of a post. This gives you a higher chance at engaging and inspiring your audience.
However, you don’t always have time to create content. That’s why using a social media publishing tool like Sprout Social can help you stay on track with content. Easily view, monitor and maintain your Facebook publishing with the social media calendar view.
With our scheduling tools, you can set up posts across all networks and build your Facebook content for weeks in advance. Don’t rush to schedule. Save time and plan ahead with a tool that makes it easy to manage and publish all at once. Check out our guide on how to create a calendar below!

4. Determine Your Facebook Ads Strategy
Maybe you read the previous section and thought–nice idea, but it seems like a lot of work for little payoff. Well, you’re not totally out of bounds with that idea. According to a SocialFlow study, Facebook organic reach dropped a massive 52% in 2016 and has fallen even more in 2018.
However, you should always put more effort into your social media strategy than what you expect to get in return. Growing your audience and brand loyalty doesn’t happen overnight. You have to earn it.
But there is one shortcut to get there a bit faster–social media advertising. Specifically on Facebook, there are more than 4 million advertisers with just an average click-through rate of 0.9%. Advertising on Facebook is simpler, but not easier. You still have to effectively build your brand and showcase it perfectly with ads.
Aim for Higher Brand Awareness
You Facebook ad campaigns should always be focused on two things:
Cost Effective
Relevant
For starters, you want to stay within your allocated weekly or monthly spend with Facebook to avoid over exposure and useless clicks. Ad spend can shoot up in a hurry when you’re targeting isn’t effective or set appropriately, which brings us to the next step.
Your Facebook ad has to be relevant. Targeting a broad audience isn’t a bad thing. At first, you want to actually see what works best to build awareness. However, relevance is crucial toward great Facebook ads.
Try to build custom audiences and address customers who would best fit your Facebook content. If it’s a retargeting measure, make sure the content provides something recognizable but also something new.
Decide on Creative Content
We’ll mention it again, but quality over quantity will always prevail. Earlier in this post, we did a deep dive into the types of content on Facebook. Now it’s time to choose which pieces of content you think are worth advertising in front of a much larger audience.
Some of the best aspects of your ad content should include:
Identity: Does it relate to your brand and effectively showcase your product/service? Are your logo and business colors correctly displayed?
Reward: What do viewers get out of it? Is it a deal, promotion, offer code, whitepaper or industry guide?
Tone: Does your content maintain the same tone across your entire Facebook page or business in general?
Action: Your content must drive an action, which goes back to your Facebook goals. A clear and precise call to action is best.
Keep Facebook Ad Content Fresh
Facebook ad content is literally squeezed between your friends and family feed, which means it’s seen often. Have you ever deemed a TV commercial the worst ever and seen it replayed endlessly through your favorite show? This is the same thing.
Don’t let your content get stale with viewers, so make sure to update and repurpose your ad content every week or two. The whole purpose is to drive users to a specific site or purchasing page. So don’t let old content ruin your Facebook retargeting or remarketing efforts.
Create a spreadsheet and document your core metrics. Each metric will provide you with unique insights into what you specifically want to achieve with your ad:
Click-through Rate: If traffic is essential, track CTR and see where you can improve.
Impressions: Having trouble with visibility? Revisit your image or content and see what can drive more impressions.
Cost to Acquire: If your purpose is to limit spend and budget more effectively, track cost to acquire and set weekly or monthly goals.
5. Engage & Don’t Wait for Your Audience to Interact First
Like most social media channels, they’re built as networks to converse, discuss and share content. As a brand, you can’t forget that basic idea of what makes a social media network. That means conversation and engagement should never be put on the back burner.
Instead, try to be a community for your audience. Facebook is a great place to hold industry chats or discussions, whether it’s with a different audience or your own customers. While Twitter often gets all the limelight of being a social customer care mecca, don’t forget about Facebook too.
You can help drive Facebook engagement by asking people to simply engage in the first place. However, you can’t sit back and wait for your followers to interact. You can’t reach everyone, but there are ways to increase engagement.
For example, Zippo does a great job at interacting with users on several comments and continues the discussion on Facebook. The brand also acts as a source for info for loyal customers.
Post at the Best Time on Facebook
Facebook is still one of the most difficult social networks to use for organic content. Again, algorithms make it a challenge for businesses trying to find optimal posting times. However, our guide on the best times to post on social media outlines the do’s and don’ts of posting on Facebook:
Thursday is the highest recommended day to post.
Noon and 2 p.m. on Wednesday and 1 to 2 p.m. on Thursday are most engaged times on Facebook.
You’re safe to post weekdays between 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Saturday is the least engaged day of the week.
The least recommended times include early mornings and late nights.
6. Enable Your Entire Workforce to Use Facebook
Like we mentioned earlier, social media works as a great resource for employee advocacy. By providing employees with shareable content, you’re able to reach their audiences. This makes your company’s reach all the greater when you can get content shared through your employees’ feeds.
However, the biggest issue is finding the right content to share. Most employees fall into two categories:
They’re afraid to share company content on networks like Facebook.
They’re too willing to share company information on networks like Facebook.
A marketing data report from Bambu showed 54% of people don’t know how to share the right content and be an advocate on social media. When the same report shows 70% of employees use social at work, you have to build an advocacy platform to enable their reach.
Giving Employees a Chance to Share
It all starts with an employee advocacy program that allows your staff to use their biggest networks like Facebook to share company info. Luckily with tools like Bambu, you can easily track, measure and promote content from within your walls.
Use Facebook as a tool to show off company perks, highlight awards or even promote new job openings. Giving them easy-to-use tools makes sharing a sinch. Utilize your employees have and have your employees help promote your business on Facebook.
7. Track & Analyze Your Facebook Marketing Strategy
Last but not least, a successful Facebook marketing strategy needs to be analyzed–strenuously. We’ve already mentioned some ways to carefully analyze your best times to post, Facebook advertising metrics and the types of content to publish.
If you plan to improve your strategy for 2018 and into 2019, it takes helpful insights from Facebook analytics tools and its competitor analysis features. Our beautifully-designed reports give access into multiple Facebook Pages, activity overviews and content reports to see what works best.
To be truly successful, you need insights on what works. That’s why social media tools are a must for any marketer trying to get ahead of the game in 2018.
Conclusion
These seven steps should help you navigate Facebook marketing and identify the strategy that works best for your brand. In short, when you’re looking to get started with a Facebook strategy, you’ll want to:
Create Facebook goals that directly affect your biggest needs and address your business goals
Study your Facebook audience demographics
Choose your types of Facebook content and schedule them for posting
Determine your Facebook Ads strategy and drive brand awareness
Engage your audience immediately, including identifying the best times to post
Enable your entire workforce to use Facebook and become brand advocates
Track and analyze your Facebook Marketing strategy to discover what worked and what didn’t
We’d love to know what you do to be successful on Facebook. Feel free to comment below!

7-Step Facebook Marketing Strategy to Dominate 2018

Addressing Your 2018 Goals

With the help of social media monitoring tools, you can track, listen and report on all social conversations revolving around you, your competitors or the industry.

SitRep: Europe, Congress Scrambling Ahead of Trump Iran Decision
By Paul McLeary with Adam Rawnsley
Politics of the Iran deal. National Security Advisor Lt. Gen. H.R. McMaster delivered a classified briefing to Republican lawmakers — and Republicans only — on the administration’s plan for the 2015 agreement to halt Iran’s nuclear program Wednesday night. Democrats also huddled with former Secretary of State John Kerry to talk through their response if president Trump claims Iran is not in compliance with the agreement this week, as he is expected to.
The meeting with Republicans only is notable not only for its partisanship, but also because McMaster remains an active duty 3-star general, who isn’t supposed to play politics.
More on maneuvering around the deal. From Reuters: “White House officials said Trump is expected to announce a broad, more confrontational policy toward Iran directed at curbing its nuclear and ballistic missile programs and financial and military support for Hezbollah and other extremist groups.”
And the Wall Street Journal: “European officials are working on a unified response to President Donald Trump’s expected decision to pull U.S. backing from the 2015 Iranian nuclear accord, but strains have emerged that threaten to weaken Europe’s common stance.
More nukes or no nukes. Both Trump and Defense Secretary Jim Mattis denied the veracity of an NBC report on Wednesday which said the president suggested he wanted a “tenfold increase” in the number of U.S. nuclear warheads.
Mattis statement: “Recent reports that the President called for an increase in the U.S. nuclear arsenal are absolutely false. This kind of erroneous reporting is irresponsible.” Trump, unsurprisingly, went much further, attacking the press as “fake.”
But the NBC story wasn’t so black and white. Remember this line from the story: “Some officials present said they did not take Trump’s desire for more nuclear weapons to be literally instructing the military to increase the actual numbers. But his comments raised questions about his familiarity with the nuclear posture and other issues, officials said.”
Saudi’s new choppers. After dropping $25 billion on American-made attack helicopters in recent years, the Saudi National Guard is for the first time sending its new helicopters to the Yemen border to hunt Houthi rebels, FP’s Paul McLeary reports.
Riyadh is also spending $1.8 billion to build several new airfields, U.S. Army Maj. Gen. Frank Muth said during a U.S. Army conference in Washington this week, adding that in addition to the helos and bases, he’s spearheading the construction and staffing of an aviation center in Saudi Arabia, which can train pilots from all friendly Gulf countries, which fly mostly American-made aircraft and helicopters.
More Yemen. Meanwhile, bipartisan legislation in the House demanding an end to any U.S. role in the Saudi-led coalition war in Yemen has attracted 30 cosponsors. It’s not expected to pass but the bill is yet another signal that lawmakers are getting fed up with Riyadh’s air war in Yemen, which has helped trigger a humanitarian crisis with no clear end in sight. FP’s Dan De Luce has more on that here.
Pentagon policy chief nominated. President Donald Trump will name John Rood, a senior executive at defense contractor Lockheed Martin as undersecretary of defense for policy, the Pentagon’s No. 3 job. Rood is a veteran of work with Raytheon, and previously spent two decades shuttling between jobs at the State Department, Pentagon, and National Security Council. His appointment requires Senate approval.
Trump wants to sell more drones. The Trump administration is working to relax export rules on sensitive U.S. drone technology to challenge rivals China and Israel, who own a large chunk of the global military drone market.
Your new Army, and the wars it will fight. The the first time in six years, the U.S. Army has rewritten its plan for how it would fight advanced enemies like Russia and China. The new document represents a major overhaul for the service after 16 years of battling relatively unsophisticated insurgents in Iraq and Afghanistan.
Gen. Mark Milley, the Army’s chief of staff, said that while U.S. forces spent the last two decades hunting insurgents, adversaries including Russia, China, Iran and North Korea have gone to school on American capabilities, and finding novel ways to get around them.
“Our advantage has steadily eroded,” he said.
As a result, “there are no boundaries where they can’t reach,” U.S. Air Force Gen. Mike Holmes, commander, Air Combat Command told an annual Army conference in Washington on Wednesday. “There are no hiding places for us on the battlefield…and there is no place where we can say we’re out of the battle.”
The new plan places far more emphasis on cyber operations, long-range artillery, missile defense, and on working with allies, than the previous version.
One recent lesson from watching Russian electronic warfare in Ukraine? “In Ukraine if you turn all your radios on….you’re gonna get attacked and you’re gonna die,” U.S. Marine Corps Lt. Gen. Robert  Walsh, commanding General, Marine Corps Combat Development Command told the Army conference.

Spy games. Chinese officials kidnapped a CIA officer working at the U.S. consulate in Chengdu off the street back in January 2016 and interrogated him for hours, Politico reports. U.S. officials finally managed to spring the officer and kept the incident under wraps, but the intelligence community interpreted the seizure as an example of Beijing’s increasingly aggressive counterintelligence practices.
Foreign aid. How much money does China spend on foreign aid? The answer is surprisingly hard to find because China’s government is (surprise!) less than transparent about its aid budget. But a new study by researchers at the College of William and Mary estimates that Beijing spent $354.4 billion on aid in the 14 year period between 2000 and 2014 — about the same as the United States.
Hacked. Someone hacked a small Australian defense contractor and made off with gigabytes of unclassified data on the F-35, C130 and the P8 surveillance plane. It’s unclear yet who was behind the breach but investigators from the Australian Signals Directorate said the contractor’s use of a default username and password on an internet-facing portal could’ve allowed nearly anyone to access the sensitive information.
Kaspersky. The Wall Street Journal reports that Russian cybersecurity firm Kaspersky Labs was complicit in Russian intelligence’s use of its product to spy on users’ computers for classified information. All antivirus software scans users’ files in search of malicious programs, but the paper reports that Kaspersky tweaked its product to look for documents with markings like “top secret” and specific code names of classified programs and operations.
Hints. U.S. officials may have received an early hint that something was not quite right with Kaspersky’s products in 2015. Cyberscoop reports that the company pitched its software then to American intelligence agencies, shocking members of the FBI’s counterterrorism division when company officials hinted the Bureau could use Kaspersky’s software to find terrorists in the Middle East.
They’re good dogs, Vlod. Turkmenistan’s President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov gave Russian President Vladimir Putin a puppy for his birthday.
Robot war. Ukraine is gearing up to send its first ground combat robot into battle next year. Ukrainian officials say the Phantom unmanned ground vehicle, which sports anti-tank weapons and machine guns, is designed to withstand Russian jamming efforts, integrating Ukraine’s lessons learned from dealing with Russian electronic warfare on the battlefield.
Shopping spree. Iran is still illicitly shopping for missile technology on the global market, according to documents from Germany’s domestic intelligence agency seen by Reuters. The documents from the Federal Office for the Protection of the Constitution says that Iran “continues to pursue an ambitious rocket and missile technology program,” trying to illicitly acquire dual use German technology for use in its ballistic missile programs.
USS McCain fallout. The Navy has relieved the captain and executive officer of the USS John S. McCain in the wake of the deadly collision which killed 10 sailors in August. According to a statement, McCain chief Cmdr. Alfredo J. Sanchez and his executive officer Cmdr. Jessie L. Sanchez have been reassigned to Naval Forces Japan and U.S. Naval Ship Repair Facility at Yokosuka, respectively.
Army recruitment woes. The Army wants to recruit 80,000 new soldiers, but it’s having a hard time filling those spots so it’s issuing more waivers for candidates who would normally be passed over. Marijuana use is among the areas where the Army is showing greater flexibility, allowing lieutenant colonels to issue waivers to accept recruits admitting to marijuana use instead of two star generals.
Myanmar. The New York Times conducts a harrowing interview with Rohingya refugees in Bangladesh about the events that led them to flee Myanmar. One woman describes Burmese troops prying her infant son from her arms, throwing him into a fire, and gang-raping the woman.

Epiphanies in Bangladesh
The whirling of the fan above my head unfolds heat in my claustrophobic room like wildfire. Beads of sweat regarded on my skin and quick evaporated, making room for the subsequent round of salty dew. The engine roared under me and despatched my frame into waves of motion sickness; I was trapped between the warmth and colossal vibrations.
I laid on my stiff mattress and started on the plaster of the top bunk in hopes that my old buddy, sleep, might quickly pay me a go to. However, while there was no signal of the long lost traveler my thoughts began to flow away; right here I used to be on a ship in Bangladesh’s Sundarbans filming a documentary, But how did I am getting here?
Opportunity knocked on my door once I received an invitation to fly out to Bangladesh as part of a small crew to the movie a documentary just a week earlier. Despite not understanding all and sundry or any of the preparations, I without delay began packing my baggage and getting ready for the unknown.bangladesh same hotel
Fortunately enough, the unknown turned into the first-rate.
We had been a total of thirteen newshounds and filmmakers from around the arena who have been all on the same undertaking; to depict the splendor of Bangladesh. We stayed in the capital, Dhaka, for the primary 1/2 of the experience in which we met numerous ministers, visited historic museums and attended the kingdom’s biggest party, The Bangla New 12 months. We then flew to The Sundarbans, which is defined as the biggest mangroves inside the world and domestic to the famous Bengal Tiger, and stayed on a ship and explored the rivers and jungles for the remainder of the ride. And for each step and every occasion, I used to be there with my camera, documenting the whole lot.Bangladesh newspaper
Among the heat, loss of sleep and lugging around heavy equipment, I didn’t have the time to comprehend the reality of what was unfolding until my remaining night on the ship. My shoulders were sore and my feet have been blistered, However as I subsequently had a moment to myself I realized how the past few days have been some of the happiest of my life. And why need to or not it’s another manner?
Some Interesting Facts About York, England
Did you recognize that York’s minster has its own police force – it is authentic! The best different cathedral within the world that could boast that is St. Peter’s in Rome which has its own police force inside the shape of the Swiss Guards. Here we’ve compiled a listing of exciting data about York.
There is a street in York referred to as The Shambles which is in which historical butchers used to ply their exchange. The upper stories of the fifteenth-century houses lean inwards to date that the roofs on either facet almost contact. Walking this street, you may be aware raised pavements either facet of the main cobbled avenue which shapes the channel through which the butchers could wash away offal and blood. York is steeped in medieval records, the battlement partitions and bars (gates) to the town were built all through this period and are still greatly preserved nowadays. Clifford’s Tower is a popular traveler hang-out nowadays but has a grisly beyond, getting its named from Roger de Clifford who changed into hung using chains from its battlements after the Struggle of Boroughbridge in 1322.
The minster is the 2nd largest gothic cathedral in Europe and its creation took an incredible 250 years
