The Edge of Sleep was and still is on the top 10. The problem is that not everyone can run it in the background constantly or wants to rewatch it as we approach the 18th. What exactly does “it just needs to reach the top 10” mean? It did that already. I think we are due for an update with more transparency if the NDA allows or if Amazon communicated that at all.

Gonna get a replacement soon bc my "Details of Super Sentai" Book got heavy ass water damage. Like it's so bad that i picked up the package and it just fell apart. No plastic covering on the book, either, which I find fcking insane bc iirc, they tend do cover books for shipping?
Anyways, got another source to put on the list in terms of Rita's Gender Identity:
Tumblr media
PapillonOhger is the first Purple character to be one of the original members in the Super Sentai Series. Believing in 'Neutrality', Rita's gender is undisclosed and also makes PapillonOhger a gender neutral hero.
Veteran Hashisuka Yuichi returns as a regular warrior since "Tokumei Sentai GoBusters" as Yellow Buster.
Do note that they specifically used 「リタは性別が公表されておらず」 and 「ェンダーニュートラル」 in the blurb so there's really no way of mistranslating. I'd say it's similar to the one in Uchusen 180 as the book doesn't dive into as much detail as previous books as we mostly have blurbs and the book is all about the suits and mecha (and Moffun!)
But yeah. Rita's Gender Undisclosed. (Yes, this means you shouldn't be calling them a man or a woman bc that's assuming and they had a whole fcking episode where you're not supposed to assume things about them)

My Top Ten Tips For Writing Horror!
Hello all! As people who've seen almost any of my posts will know, I am a horror writer, and I always love seeing people try their hand at it, so here are my top ten tips for writing horror:
Write what you know scares you. Writing what you know isn't going to be helpful in horror writing for a lot of it, instead, if you focus on writing what scares you, then you're more likely to scare others. Of course, writing what you know when it comes to making characters realistic is still good advice.
Use foreshadowing. Foreshadowing is one of the best tools in any type of writing, but I find that it works especially well when writing horror.
Write longer sentences than you usually would. This makes the reader feel uncomfortable, because the natural pauses that are usually included in sentences are absent, you build more tension this way. Example: I noticed that the doorway to the house was slightly ajar, somebody was already inside, I pushed open the door and it creaked loudly as the rusty hinges strained, moving inside I noticed two things immediately, a thick stench in the air that reminded me of rotting flesh and the fact that everything in the house was coated in layer upon layer of dust. Make sure not to overdo it because then the reader will become used to the longer sentences.
Don't show everything straight away (or at all). If you show the reader everything about the monster/event early it takes away a lot of the mystique that leads to it being scary, and even revealing everything at the end can be a bad idea, because then nobody wants to reread your piece of writing.
Don't fall into cliches. I'm not saying you shouldn't have cliches in your story, they wouldn't be cliches if people didn't use them. But if you're using them, use them with purpose, make sure it fits, and don't overdo it.
Use vivid descriptions... But don't tell the reader everything. When it comes to descriptions too much is often worse than nothing at all, because a lot of the time when nothing is left to the imagination, things stop being scary.
Don't rush the payoff. Have you ever seen the opening to scream where Casey Becker gets the call from Ghostface? He's toying with her, there's that building sense of unease as Casey realises that something is horribly wrong, and so does the audience. Well, that scene wouldn't have worked nearly as well as it did if Casey had picked up the phone, been asked what her favourite scary movie is straight away, and then stabbed in the back. The payoff is always going to be better if the buildup is good.
Have some downtime between the doom and gloom. If it's always scary and your characters are always running for their lives, then eventually the reader is going to get desensitized, nowhere should be entirely safe, and they should always be on their toes, but having (even small) moments of respite, will be good for when you want the reader to actually be scared.
Practice. I know, it's cliched, but practice does make perfect, over time. If you give up because your writing doesn't match your expectations, then you'll never be able to meet your expectations, in fact, I recommend never letting yourself quite reach your expectations, always have a goal in mind that you are working towards.
The most important one... Have fun, I know, I know, this is the most cliched thing here, but it's still the most important, if you aren't having fun, then you're doing something wrong.
And there you have it! Those are my top ten tips for writing horror, if anybody sees this and wants me to do a top ten tips for writing mystery I'd be happy to give that a go. Bye now!

Okay so this blew up more than I expected. Here’s the thing guys-
When you’re new to the game, you write things that aren’t “in”, you write anything that could be considered “political” or “woke”, it makes it hard to break through the noise. I’ve gotten agents, and then been told to “tone down” my stories (especially if I have a trans MC). I, a freaking Anthropology major with a focus in Human Culture and Pop (yes, weapons are a HUGE part of this) have been told that guns didn’t exist in the 1500s and I need to “do my research”. I have been told that my work wouldn’t reach a wide enough demographic, that I prattle on, that I get too off topic with my “side quests”.
I could go on about all the things that agents and publishing houses tell you when you’re new. Yes, I have published a couple works through writing apps. Yes, I do currently have an agent. And it’s been HARD. I can’t just write what I want. “The Great American Novel” isn’t something we get to decide. It’s what the Trad Pub Houses think will sell.
If you want to write what you want, self publish. I’m in the process of using Kindle. I just want to be able to be proud of what I’ve put out and know that I didn’t compromise. I like giving “too many” details, and based on the interaction I’ve gotten on my posts, y’all do too. I have resigned myself to the fact I’ll never be a big name author, and you can’t go into writing thinking you’ll be the next Stephen King. I’m okay with that.
I’m not saying this to dissuade you. I think you SHOULD write. You SHOULD try! I just also think to avoid the pain of rejection or being faced with reworking something you loved that I myself have been dealing with this for 15+ years), acknowledge and be okay with the fact that you’ll have to choose, and be okay if your work only makes you happy.
Working on my novel and couldn’t figure out why it felt so empty. I didn’t have any filler. It was all 100% plot. The characters only interacted when necessary. I didn’t prattle on about the scenery or how the birds sounded. I had all my fuller stuff that I loved saved in another file because I “didn’t need it”.
Y’all, I knew this existed in TV shows but it didn’t hit me until this that everything is being whittled down. We are so starving for filler that we snap up anything. I unload all mine on Tumblr or keep it in a massive Google Docs. It SUCKS.
Honestly? Death to plot necessity. Revive filler. Revive unnecessary interactions. Revive just vibing with characters sometimes. I don’t want to just consume the plot and I don’t want to just create the plot either.

How to Choose the Top Indian Affiliate Programs for Your Niche
Tumblr media
Affiliate marketing is one of the most lucrative online business models, and its popularity is growing exponentially in India. If you’re looking to venture into affiliate marketing, selecting the right program can make or break your success. But how do you choose the best affiliate programs in a country as diverse as India?
Let's break it down step by step.
What is Affiliate Marketing?
In simple terms, affiliate marketing is a way to earn a commission by promoting other companies' products or services. When a purchase is made through your referral link, you receive a percentage of the sale. This performance-driven marketing approach benefits both the affiliate marketer and the product owner.
Growth of Affiliate Marketing in India
Affiliate marketing in India has witnessed rapid growth over the past few years. With the increase in internet penetration, more and more brands are turning to affiliates to help them market their products. Today, India stands as a major hub for affiliate marketers, with opportunities spanning across various niches.
Why Choose the Right Affiliate Program for Your Niche?
The Importance of Relevance
Selecting the right affiliate program is key to your success. It should be a good fit for both your niche and target audience. Promoting products or services that resonate with your audience ensures higher engagement, trust, and conversions. For example, if you run a tech blog, promoting gadgets or software would be more effective than promoting unrelated products like beauty items.
Maximizing Earnings by Choosing the Right Fit
By selecting affiliate programs that are a good fit for your niche, you increase your chances of maximizing your earnings. When you focus on products your audience already trusts or seeks, you are more likely to convert traffic into sales.
Key Considerations for Selecting an Affiliate Program
When choosing an affiliate program, consider these key factors:
Commission Structure
Always check the commission structure of the affiliate program. Programs that offer higher commissions per sale are attractive, but also consider whether the program pays per lead or per sale. You should also evaluate how frequently payments are made (weekly, monthly, etc.).
Product/Service Quality
Promoting low-quality products can damage your reputation and reduce your conversions. Make sure the affiliate program provides top-notch products or services that effectively address the needs of your target audience.
Reputation and Trustworthiness
Always look for programs that have a solid reputation. Research the company’s background, reviews from other affiliates, and how long they’ve been in the market. A trustworthy program is vital for building long-term relationships.
Affiliate Support and Resources
Does the affiliate program provide adequate support? Look for programs that offer comprehensive training, marketing materials, and dedicated support teams. This helps you market the product effectively and resolve any issues quickly.
Payment Methods and Frequency
Check the available payment methods (bank transfer, PayPal, etc.) and the payment frequency. Make sure they offer options that are convenient for you. Timely and consistent payments are crucial for sustaining a strong relationship with the program.
Best Affiliate Programs for Different Niches in India
Each niche has its set of top-performing affiliate programs. Here’s a breakdown of the best ones across various categories:
Technology and Gadgets
Amazon Associates: With a wide range of tech products and devices, Amazon’s affiliate program is ideal for technology bloggers and influencers.
Flipkart Affiliate Program: A major e-commerce player in India, Flipkart’s affiliate program offers a variety of tech gadgets and electronics.
Health and Fitness
HealthKart Affiliate Program: For fitness enthusiasts, promoting supplements, protein powders, and health equipment can be highly profitable.
Plum Goodness Affiliate Program: Promoting skincare and wellness products from a trusted brand in the health and beauty sector.
Fashion and Beauty
Myntra Affiliate Program: As a leading fashion retailer in India, Myntra offers a vast selection of clothing and accessories.
Nykaa Affiliate Program: Nykaa is a well-known beauty and cosmetics brand with a popular affiliate program for influencers and bloggers.
Home and Lifestyle
Pepperfry Affiliate Program: For home décor, furniture, and lifestyle products, Pepperfry offers a solid affiliate program.
Urban Ladder Affiliate Program: Another great option for home furniture and décor, Urban Ladder offers attractive commissions.
Education and E-learning
Udemy Affiliate Program: For educational content creators, Udemy offers a wide range of online courses to promote.
Simplilearn Affiliate Program: Simplilearn’s affiliate program allows you to promote skill development and certification courses.
How to Evaluate an Affiliate Program's Performance
To ensure you’re getting the best out of your affiliate program, track its performance using these methods:
Tracking Tools and Analytics
Most affiliate programs provide tracking links and dashboards. These tools enable real-time tracking of clicks, conversions, and commissions, helping you refine your strategy effectively.
Conversion Rates
Higher conversion rates indicate that the affiliate program and the products you're promoting resonate with your audience. Look at past performance data to predict future success.
Affiliate Reviews and Feedback
Before joining a program, check reviews from other affiliates to learn about their experiences. This can provide valuable insights into how effective the program is and how reliable its payouts are.
Tips for Success in Affiliate Marketing
Here are some key strategies to help you thrive in affiliate marketing:
Promoting Products Authentically
Always be authentic in your promotion. Share your real experience with the product to build trust with your audience.
Building a Targeted Audience
Focus on attracting a specific, niche audience that is more likely to convert. Customize your content and offers to align with their specific needs.
Consistency and Patience
Affiliate marketing takes time to yield significant results. Stay consistent with your promotions, and be patient as you build your reputation and audience.
Conclusion
Choosing the top Indian affiliate program for your niche is vital for success in affiliate marketing. By considering factors like commission structure, product quality, and affiliate support, you can make informed decisions that lead to long-term profitability. Remember to stay authentic, patient, and consistent, and you’ll be well on your way to becoming a successful affiliate marketer in India.

In Back to the Future: Part II, the newspaper article about George McFly was called "Local Author Murdered"
but in the first movie, it was specifically stated that they'd received "your first novel" at the end, as a way of showing his increased self-confidence after the time travel. That was in the present day, whereas the newspaper article was like 12 years old.
I suppose, Watsonianly, it's possible he was known as a local author for short stories for a long time and had only just published his first full-length novel
But I think Doyalistically, it was probably a mistake
