Do you have any songs you specifically associate with the Oshun Oxtra crew? Cosmo Sheldrake dropped "Old Ocean" and I cant help but think of Hodgkins when it plays. (P.S. hes like my favorite out of your depictions I'm a big fan of your Hodgkins!!)
(AAAAAAHHHH OMG THANK YOU I LOVE MY MAN HODGKINS SO MUCH)
It's so funny that you mention Cosmo Sheldrake because for the longest time I have imagined different songs by him as like, character trailers for each member.
Like Egg and Soldier would be Hodgkins' song because not only is he single-minded on his love of engineering to the point of being manipulative and uncaring to characters like Edward the Booble if it were a means to an end to help his project or unintentionally putting someone like Moominpappa at arm's length despite his clear admiration for him, I imagine that short-sightedness ran in the family so to say. I have this very vivid imagination for that song, like the intro, first verse and first chorus would be Hodgkins on his way to watch a stage performance by his lost brother, and then he recreates that when the lyrics repeat because he too, despite his terribly grandiose size compared to most people including his brother, is still a small man trying to attain big dreams by climbing that proverbial beanstalk to be amid the giants who don't really care for him.
Tardigrade would be Joxter's song as he sings about all the frivolous things he would do if he was as deathless as a tardigrade, but in the end he still very much likes a lazy lifestyle of drinking whiskey and wearing socks on his feet. Other Cosmo songs I've imagined as Joxter songs are the Cuckoo Song and his cover of Tom Waits' Green Grass.
Axolotl reminds me alot of Moominpappa and his journey to try and make something of himself after a childhood of being dismissed and isolated by his caretaker and peers, the line of "I'll build a home at sea" particularly reminds me of Moominpappa at Sea where he quite literally tries to make a home out of the lighthouse despite everything seemingly working against him. (I have a whole character playlist for him by the way, here's the link)
Muddler.... Muddler is my absolute favorite with a playlist of 99 songs but I can't really pin down a Cosmo song for him besides Did Don't Do by his side-band, Don't. I imagine the chaotic and patchwork nature of a song like Hocking would fit him in terms of vibes quite well but I've yet to really find a song that really speaks to Muddler in the ways of lyricism...
For Cosmo songs that are generally for the whole crew I imagine Old Ocean, Birthday Suit and Does the Swallow Dream of Flying work very well as songs for the imaginary trailers I have for a Moominpappa's Memoirs adaptation, lmao.
Also, as an honorary member of the Oshun Oxtra, the whole First Band On The Moon album by the Cardigans is SO Mymble Jr.

They got him through his darkest days, including during the pandemic where he spent three months in hospital, without visitors. Now in remission, we granted Jack's wish 'to meet Tom Holland' with support from @.Tbrotherstrust ✨ He was picked up in a limo, taken to a screening of @.unchartedmovie and had one-on-one time with Spider-Man himself. Reflecting on the wish, Jack's mum told us: "The whole day was fantastic and surpassed his wildest imagination. He felt like royalty from start to finish!"

'Netflix’s Ripley has a tremendous amount to offer. It’s dark and stylish. It’s one of the most beautiful things on television. It has an exceptional cat in it. However, there is one moment in Ripley that is so preposterous it threatens to undermine the entire series. If you haven’t seen Ripley, stop reading now. If you have, you already know exactly what I’m about to say.
It’s the bloody wig, isn’t it? For most of the series, Andrew Scott’s Ripley is the charming and dapper conman he’s always been; an indisputable master of impersonation and misdirection. But in the final episode that all falls apart. As the net around him closes in, Ripley decides to confront the inspector on his case. But he does this in – and unfortunately there’s no way of using this word without inverted commas – “disguise”, because he already met him once before under an alias. So we see Ripley enter a wig shop, to choose the best possible way for him to camouflage himself entirely. We see the tools of his work at home, scissors and combs and spirit gum, to reassure us that Tom Ripley is a master of disguise with a level of unparalleled expertise. And then …
And then, well, it looks bloody awful, doesn’t it. It’s hard to fully do justice to the disguise Tom Ripley comes up with in words alone. On one hand, it makes him look like a stray Bee Gee, or the cowardly lion from The Wizard of Oz begrudgingly attending the wedding of one of his girlfriend’s friends, or a version of Noel Edmonds that hasn’t invested in proper lighting for his house. But on the other, and I really cannot state this strongly enough, it also makes him look exactly like Andrew Scott. If the point of a disguise is to conceal your true identity to other people, it is an outright failure. This episode of Ripley is essentially about Andrew Scott walking into a wig shop then walking out looking like Andrew Scott, but Andrew Scott in a woeful wig.
The worst thing about it, of course – the thing that makes the full series disintegrate on sight – is that it actually works. The inspector visits Andrew Scott, has a full conversation with Andrew Scott and instead of thinking “Wait a minute, that’s just the guy I met before, but in a wig that makes him look a bit how General Zod would if General Zod was inexplicably into disco music,” simply walks away. He doesn’t twig until the very end of the series, the massive idiot.
Two things to take from this, really. The first is that we really need to petition Netflix to make a new Inspector Ravini spin-off, entitled The Further Adventures of The World’s Biggest Numpty, in which he bumbles around Italy screwing up every single crime he encounters by letting suspects go and handcuffing himself to horses and generally skidding around on crime-scene viscera like Todd Carty in Dancing on Ice. The second is that it’s time for Ripley to enter the pantheon of terrible screen wigs.
Obviously Dexter is the runaway leader when it comes to bad screen wigs. Which is strange, because wigs were a practical necessity for that show. For the whole of season five, Michael C Hall wore a wig to cover up the hair loss he sustained having chemotherapy for his Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. But while this wig did the job perfectly, its success was undermined by another wig he was forced to wear. Intermittently throughout the series we saw Dexter in flashback, which basically amounted to a middle-aged man putting on a novelty Justin Bieber wig.
There have been other frighteningly distracting wigs, too. When the producers of How I Met Your Mother decided to age-up Cobie Smulders, they did so by putting her in a wig so visibly made of nylon that it makes your teeth itch...
But there’s something about the deranged chutzpah of the Ripley wig – the blistering sense of “will this do?” – that puts it ahead of the competition. It is almost unbeatable in how ridiculous it is. TV wigmakers, consider this a challenge.'

Cancer Battle
Tom Holland x Sister (with the whole Holland clan)
Summary: The reader is diagnosed with cancer, but decides to keep it from her brothers.
Warnings: angst, cancer treatment, cancer diagnosis, brothers being rude, somewhat of a fluff ending
A/N: I did research on this. I hope I did the correct research. So I apologize if I’m wrong.
MASTERLIST
This has been the toughest two months of your life. Right when you were due to go over to America with your brothers to visit Tom, you noticed swelling in your neck. So did your mum. She set you up a doctors appointment, and two days later, you found out you had Hodgkin Lymphoma.
After talking with your doctor, you found you were in the early stages. It was still treatable and your chances of beating the cancer were very high. That helped you relax a little, but you were still in shock at hearing the words, “you have cancer.”
You wanted to start treatment right away so you told your brothers to go without you. They weren’t happy with you since you wouldn’t give them the real reason as to why you were staying behind. Every Wednesday morning for the next month, you would go with your mum or dad to the doctors office to do your antibody therapy treatment. You really didn’t want to do chemo or radiation unless it got worse, so you decided this was the next best option.
After four weeks of treatment, all of your brothers came home. Tom was disappointed you didn’t come see him, but he knew you probably had a good reason. He decided to come over to your parents house to hangout with you today. Except today wasn’t a good day. You were sick due to the side effects of the treatment. To those who didn’t know about your treatment, they would just think you had the flu. So when you walked back into your room from the bathroom, you groaned when you saw Tom sitting on the end of your bed.
“Good to see you too, Y/N.” Tom said with an eye roll.
“Hi Tom. Sorry. You might want to leave, I’m sick.” You said trying to keep your distance but you were wanting to lie down so bad.
“Mum told me. Can I get you anything?” He asked sweetly.
“I’m okay for now. Dad went to the store this morning.” You replied and motioned with your finger for him to move. He understood and moved toward your door as you went to lie down. You sighed, content when your body hit the mattress.
“I’m going to go downstairs. Text me if you need anything.” You smiled at him. “Get better soon.”
The next few days, you started feeling better. This is how it was every week. Stuck in bed on Thursday and Friday. Moving around more on Saturday and fully back to your normal self on Sunday. Then you would repeat the process again.
This Wednesday though, you weren’t feeling good. It felt like you couldn’t catch your breath. You had a fever and you could tell you had lost at least twenty pounds since your diagnosis. You got up earlier than normal to talk to your mum. When you walked into the living room, you found all four brothers.
“Hey Y/N. You okay?” Sam asked.
Ignoring his question, you looked around the room. “Where’s mum and dad?”
“Dad has a meeting at ten and mum ran to the store really quick. Said she would be back soon.” Paddy said not looking up from his phone. You nodded and turned to go back to your room to lay down until you had to go to your appointment.
“It’s a good thing you're up though. I have a press tour coming up and we are going to Bali. The three of them are going and I wanted to see if you wanted to come. You didn’t get to go last time so I thought you would enjoy it.” Tom said.
“I would but uh..” You looked around trying to think of an excuse as to why you can’t go. “I’m still getting over this sickness. Wouldn’t be good for me to go.”
“Well good thing it isn’t until next month then.” Harry said with a laugh before he turned serious. “Why are you always bailing on us? You missed the last Bali trip. You skipped last minute to go to America. Now you’re trying to get out of going to Bali again. What’s up with that?”
“I just have a lot going on. It’s not that I don’t want to, I just can’t.” You said.
“Harry has a point though Y/N. It’s like you don’t like us or something. You never go out with us when we are in town either and you won’t let us post photos of you.” Paddy said.
You stood shocked. You didn’t know how to respond, but it didn’t matter since it didn’t seem that your brothers were done.
“Can you tell us if we did something to you so we can fix it?” Tom said trying to be the nice brother like always.
“Come on mate. We didn’t do anything and she knows it. She just hates us.” Harry said with a snarl.
“Must be embarrassed by us. I don’t know why. People love us.” Paddy said. Sam agreed with Paddy and Harry. Tom just didn’t know what to do so he just stayed quiet. He wasn’t trying to make you feel bad, but he did feel rejected by you lately.
“I love you guys and I would never be embarrassed of you. I just have a lot going on.” You said. You were getting worked up and it was making it harder to breathe. You turned and started to leave the room. “Tell mum to come to my room when she gets home.” You started to walk up the stairs and ignored the hateful comments your brothers were whispering about you.
An hour later. Your mum came into the room and saw you laying there asleep. She went to push your hair out of your face and felt how hot you were. She immediately started to panic and tried to wake you up. Thankfully you opened your eyes halfway and saw your mum.
“Mum, somethings not right. I don’t feel good.” You whispered.
“Get up honey. We are going to the doctor.” Nikki said in a rush. She went to help you stand when you fell on the ground. Nikki was worried because you couldn’t hold yourself up. “DOM!” She yelled. “DOM HURRY UP! COME HERE!”
Tom thought he heard his mum call for him and he heard the worry in her voice so he sprinted to where he heard her trying to talk to Y/N. He was shocked when he saw you on the floor.
“Tom I need your help. We have to get her to the hospital now. Help me get her to the car.” Nikki said. Tom stayed staring at your almost lifeless body “TOM!” Nikki snapped to get his attention. Tom immediately went into protective brother mode and ran to you and easily picked you up bridal style and carried you down to Nikki’s car. He laid you in the backseat and then he joined you by putting your head into his lap. Nikki ran to the driver's seat and rushed to the hospital.
“Mum, what’s wrong with her?” He asked.
“I’m not sure.” Nikki answered honestly. If it hadn't been for the swollen glands, Nikki would have thought you were healthy as a horse. Now with the treatments, it always pained her to see her only daughter struggling with the illness. Once they got to the emergency room, Nikki started telling the ER doctor everything. Tom paled when he heard the word cancer. He looked up at his mum to see if what she said was true. When the doctors took you in the back to run test, Nikki finally turned to her oldest and saw him shaking.
“Cancer?” He whispered. If Nikki hadn’t been standing so close, she wouldn’t have heard him. She gently wrapped an arm around Tom and guided him to sit in a chair. Tom stayed latched to his mum as he cried for his little sister. “Wha- how- when? When did she find out?” Tom asked many minutes later once he stopped crying.
“Before the America trip.” Nikki said. “She’s been doing treatments once a week since. The treatments make her sick. That’s why you found her like she was last Thursday.”
“I had no idea.” Tom said more to himself. “That’s why she didn’t want to go to Bali.”
“Yeah. She wants to stay home until the cancer’s gone. She has a high survival rate, Tom. She didn’t want any of you to worry. That’s why she didn’t tell you.”
As Tom went to say something a doctor interrupted. “Mrs. Holland, Y/N is in a room now. You can go sit with her while we wait for the results. Since Dr. Hammon is the one treating her, she will be here to overlook her during her stay.” Nikki nodded and grabbed Tom’s hand. They followed the doctor to Y/n's room where she looked so tiny on her bed. She had an IV in and was sleeping soundly.
“We gave her some medicine to bring her fever down. She should wake up soon.”
“Thank you doctor.” Nikki said as he walked away. She turned to Tom, “I’m going to go call your father. Sit with her please.”
“Of course.” Tom said before grabbing your hand and sitting in the chair next to your bed. Tom grabbed his phone with his other hand. He quickly added Harry, Sam, and Paddy to a group text.
T: Hospital. Room 135. Waiting on the results for Y/N. We need to talk.
H: WTF?! Is she okay? Is that where you went. I’ve been looking everywhere for you.
T: Yeah. Had to help mum. Just hurry. She should have everyone here for her.
S: Called into work and got the day off. Will be there soon.
P: Harry and I are on our way too. Be there shortly.
By the time all the brothers arrived, Dom was walking into the room as well. Nikki had already spoken with Dr. Hammon and got the news of why Y/N reacted that way. Nikki decided now was the time to tell everyone the severity of it.
“Okay guys. Y/N wanted to keep this a secret, but I no longer can. She has Hodgkin Lymphoma. Her and I noticed swelling in her neck before she was going to the states so I took her to the doctor. She was diagnosed a couple days later. That’s why she didn’t go with you boys on the trip. She’s been undergoing treatment every week to help kill the cancer.” Nikki said looking at all of her sons. “I just talked with the doctor. The bad news is she doesn’t think the antibody therapy is working. She thinks it would be best to try chemotherapy next so the cancer doesn’t spread. The good news is, the cancer hasn’t spread.”
Dom visibly relaxed at hearing that news. He was thankful you were as okay as you could be. “Did she say why she reacted this way. Why did she almost pass out?” Dom asked.
“She said her body was working in overdrive to kill the cancer cells. Her fever got too high. Now that her fever is down, she’ll be back to her old self.”
“Old self?” Tom scoffed. “Mum she’s been sick more times than she’s been feeling okay. There’s no old self in that.”
“This is her new normal for a bit. Until she defeats the cancer, this is her old self.” Nikki responded.
You groaned and tried to open your eyes. Nikki and Dom rushed to one side as Tom rushed to your other. Tom ran his hand over your head. You turned and slowly opened your eyes and met Tom’s brown ones.
“What happened? Where am I?” You asked, confused.
“Your fever got too high. Me and mum rushed you here. You’re okay now.” Tom said. You turned to see your mum next to you with your dad.
“They know sweety.” She said. You closed your eyes for a second and turned to look at Tom again.
“I’m sorry for keeping this from you.” You said.
“Don’t be. I’m just glad you’re okay now. And I’ll be here every step of the way to help you fight.” He kissed your forehead. The rest of your brothers came up to you.
“I’m sorry Y/N/N for saying you hated us.” Harry said.
“I’m sorry too.” Sam said.
“I’m sorry as well.” Paddy said.
“It’s okay you guys. I’m sorry for not telling you. Just didn’t want you to worry. You guys have a lot going on in your life. Didn’t need to add this to the list of things you were stressing over.”
“We will always worry about you, healthy or not. You’re my baby sister. I never want you to think you have to go through something like this alone.” Tom said.
“I’ll sit with you at treatments.” Harry said.
“I’ll hangout with you when you don’t feel well at home.” Paddy said.
“I’ll make all of your favorites and I’ll make you soup.” Sam said.
You smiled at your brothers and thanked them. You were glad you had such an amazing support group to back you in this fight.

Baby Girl Buried With Care 10,000 Years Ago Found in Italian Cave
The rare interment suggests that some hunter-gatherer societies imbued female infants with full personhood
Archaeologists studying a cave in Liguria, Italy, have found the earliest known burial of a female infant in Europe. Surrounded by grave goods, the baby, whom the researchers dubbed “Neve” in honor of a nearby river, was 40 to 50 days old when she died about 10,000 years ago, reports Brian P. Dunleavy for United Press International (UPI).
The child’s remains were wrapped in a shroud adorned with more than 60 beads and four pendants, all of which were made out of shells. An eagle-owl talon that may have been a gift was discovered nearby.
As the team argues in the journal Scientific Reports, the burial reflects the infant’s treatment as a full person by an early Mesolithic hunter-gatherer culture, with the items buried alongside her indicating significant emotional investment.
Finding the bones of babies from prehistoric or ancient times is rare because they’re extremely fragile, reports Tom Metcalfe for National Geographic. The new discovery is especially unusual because the remains were preserved well enough to extract DNA. In most cases, infants’ bone DNA has deteriorated too much to determine sex.
Adult burials dated to more than 14,000 years ago are somewhat common archaeological finds. But examples from the early Mesolithic (around 10,000 B.C.E.) are few and far between.
“The number of burials at this time, between about 10,000 and 11,000 years ago, is very, very rare,” lead author Jamie Hodgkins, an archaeologist at the University of Colorado, tells National Geographic. “... [I]t’s in a gap where we don’t have much of anything at all.”
Neve’s grave is located in the Arma Veirana cave in the mountains of Liguria, a region in northwestern Italy. A popular spot for visitors, the site is also a target for thieves. The researchers began studying the cave in 2015 after looters exposed late Ice Age tools there, writes Ian Randall for the Daily Mail. Signs of activity in the cave date back more than 50,000 years, to a time when its most likely inhabitants would have been Neanderthals. Archaeologists found boar and elk bones that showed signs of butchering, as well as charred animal fat. After digging deeper into the cave in 2017, the team found the infant’s burial site.
“I was excavating in the adjacent square and remember looking over and thinking, ‘That’s a weird bone,’” says study co-author Claudine Gravel-Miguel, an archaeologist at the Institute of Human Origins at Arizona State University, in a statement.
The team fully excavated the gravesite in 2018. The ornaments buried with Neve were made with care; judging from patterns of wear, they were probably passed down to the child by other members of her community.
“The presence of perforated shells with traces of prolonged use means that these have been worn for a long time by the adults,” study co-author Fabio Negrino, an archaeologist at the University of Genoa, tells Rachel Elbaum of NBC News. “These shells were perhaps sewn to her dress.”
Tests conducted on the infant’s teeth revealed details of her short life. According to the study, carbon and nitrogen analysis found that before she was born, her mother ate a land-based diet. Neve experienced stress in the womb that led her teeth to temporarily stop growing. DNA and protein tests showed that she belonged to a European lineage known as the U5b2b haplogroup.
Researchers compared the find to the remains of two infants buried at Upward Sun River in Alaska some 11,500 years ago and rediscovered in 2013. In both cases, the infant girls appear to have been recognized as people in their own right. This acknowledgement of personhood may have stemmed from a common ancestral culture, write the authors in the study. Alternatively, it could have arisen independently.
María Martinón-Torres, a paleoanthropologist who was not involved in the study, tells National Geographic that evidence of children’s personhood dates back to the early Homo sapiens and Neanderthal periods.
She adds, “The earliest documented burials in Africa ... involve children and a deliberate dedication to the way the body is disposed.”
In a separate statement, Hodgkins says, “Archaeological reports have tended to focus on male stories and roles, and in doing so have left many people out of the narrative. ... Without DNA analysis, this highly decorated infant burial could possibly have been assumed male.”
By Livia Gershon.

Waiting for Godot - Broadway - November 24, 2013 (Opening Night) (Lanelle's master) FORMAT: MP4 (HD) CAST: Aidan Gemme (The Boy), Billy Crudup (Lucky), Ian McKellen (Estragon), Patrick Stewart (Vladimir), Shuler Hensley (Pozzo)
War Horse - West End - February 27, 2014 (Pro-Shot's master) FORMAT: MKV (HD) CAST: Sion Daniel Young (Albert Narracott), Josie Walker (Rose Narracott), Alistair Brammer (Billy Narracott), Alex Avery (Captain Nicholls), Steve North (Ted Narracott), Tom Hodgkins (Arthur Narracott) NOTES: Multi-cam pro-shot broadcast live to cinemas as part of National Theatre Live, Includes interval interview and documentary.
War Paint - Broadway - March 11, 2017 (Preview) (SunsetBlvd79's master) FORMAT: MP4 (SD) CAST: Patti LuPone (Helena Rubinstein), Christine Ebersole (Elizabeth Arden), John Dossett (Tommy Lewis), Douglas Sills (Harry Fleming) NOTES: Beautiful HD capture of the Broadway transfer. Some changes for Broadway from the previous Goodman Theater production. Excellent performances from the entire cast with clear picture and great sound throughout; very good video. 2 DVDs. A War Paint - Broadway - April 29, 2017 (Matinee) (NYCG8R's master) FORMAT: VOB (with smalls) (SD) CAST: Patti LuPone (Helena Rubinstein), Christine Ebersole (Elizabeth Arden), John Dossett (Tommy Lewis), Douglas Sills (Harry Fleming) NOTES: The master gets caught during Face to Face. You can hear someone say “TURN IT OFF”. Blackout during that part. Wasted - Southwark Playhouse - 2018 (Pro-Shot's master) FORMAT: MP4 (HD) CAST: Matthew Jacobs Morgan (Branwell Brontë), Molly Lynch (Anne Brontë), Natasha Barnes (Charlotte Brontë), Siobhan Athwal (Emily Brontë) We Are The Tigers - Off-Broadway - March, 2019 (StarCuffedJeans's master) FORMAT: MP4 (HD) CAST: Lauren Zakrin (Riley Williams), Wonu Ogunfowora (Cairo), Jenny Rose Baker (Kate Dalton), MiMi Scardulla (Reese), Kaitlyn Frank (Annleigh), Cathy Ang (Mattie Wheeler), Celeste Rose (Chess), Zoe Jensen (Farrah), Sydney Parra (Eva Sanchez), Louis Griffin (Clark) NOTES: Starts at the beginning of "I Just Wanna" and missing part of "Mattie's Lament." The theater was really full tonight so there are a good number of heads in this video, but they are worked around to the best of my ability. This is a super small theater (less than 160 seats) and at times the cast members were definitely singing to the camera and honestly giving their best performances because of it. All of the things on the upper level (the bathroom, the pathway, and the kitchen) are captured perfectly, and the zooms on the lower level (the living room and bench) look good as well. Obviously because this is a murder mystery kind of show the lighting can get a little bit dark, but my camera handles low lighting incredibly well. This is honestly the best video you could expect from this venue We Will Rock You - Germany (Cologne) - August, 2005 (Pro-Shot's master) FORMAT: VOB (with smalls) (SD) CAST: Alex Melcher (Galileo), Vera Bolten (Scaramouche), Brigitte Oelke (Killer Queen), Martin Berger (Khashoggi), Michaela Kovarikova (Meat/Oz), DMJ (Brit/J.B.), James Sbano (Pop/Buddy/Bap), Harald Tauber (Teacher), Willemijn Verkaik NOTES: Multicam proshot We Will Rock You - Utrecht (The Netherlands) - October, 2010 FORMAT: VOB (with smalls) (SD) CAST: John Vooijs (Galileo), Marjolein Teepen (Scaramouche), Pia Douwes (Killer Queen), Paul Donkers (Khashoggi), Floortje Smit (Meat/Oz), Ruud van Overdijk (Brit/J.B.), Rutger le Poole (Pop/Buddy/Bap) NOTES: Good capture. Heads in the way, but also a lot of good close-ups. Dubble DVD! We Will Rock You - West End - February 11, 2003 (Pro-Shot's master) FORMAT: VOB (with smalls) (SD) CAST: Tony Vincent (Galileo), Hannah Jane Fox (Scaramouche), Sharon D Clarke (Killer Queen), Alexander Hanson (Khashoggi), Kerry Ellis (Meat/Oz), Nigel Clauzner (Brit/J.B.), Nigel Planer (Pop/Buddy/Bap) The Wedding Singer - Broadway - April 1, 2006 (Preview) FORMAT: VOB (with smalls) (SD) CAST: Stephen Lynch (Robbie Hart), Laura Benanti (Julia), Matthew Saldivar (Sammy), Kevin Cahoon (George), Rita Gardner (Rosie), Amy Spanger (Holly), Richard H Blake (Glen), Felicia Finley (Linda) NOTES: Includes pictures of outside of the theatre and playbill. This was before the changes were made to the production. Blackouts throughout the show. The Wedding Singer - Off-West End - March 1, 2020 (Matinee) (Closing Night) (Highlights) (queenofthedead's master) FORMAT: VOB (with smalls) (SD) CAST: Kevin Clifton (Robbie Hart), Rhiannon Chesterman (Julia), Ashley Emmerson (Sammy), Andrew Carthy (George), Sandra Dickinson (Rosie), Tara Verloop (Holly), Jonny Fines (Glen), Erin Bell (Linda), Lori Haley Fox (Angie), Andy Brady (David Fonda), Nathan Ryles (Harold Fonda), Jordan Crouch (Donnie), Aimee Moore (Tiffany), Simon Anthony (Shane McDonough), Paris Green (Donatella), Vanessa Grace Lee (Donatella’s Mother), Morgan Jackson (Mookie), Ellie Seaton (Crystal) NOTES: 38 minutes of act 1 of the closing performance, unobstructed. Well filmed from the balcony. Mostly a full stage shot. Some generational loss. Wenn Rosenblätter Fallen - Oberhausen - June 13, 2016 (Rumpel's master) FORMAT: VOB (with smalls) (SD) CAST: Pia Douwes (Rose), Anton Zetterholm (Till), Annemieke van Dam (Iris)
West Side Story - Hollywood Bowl - July 19, 2016 (SJ Bernly's master) FORMAT: VOB (with smalls) (SD) CAST: Jeremy Jordan (Tony), Solea Pfeiffer (Maria), Karen Olivo (Anita), Matthew James Thomas (Riff), George Akram (Bernardo), Drew Foster (Action), Jose Moreno Brooks (Chino), Anthony C Chatmon II (A-Rab), Kyle Selig (Baby John), Mike Schwitter (Big Deal), Jeff Smith (Diesel), Kevin Chamberlin (Krupke), Jennifer Sanchez (Rosalia), Erica Dorfler (Consuela) NOTES: This concert version of the show is abridged with shortened scenes, simple costumes, and no sets or choreography, but Jeremy, Solea, and Karen are absolutely phenomenal with soaring vocals and emotional performances. Very well captured with no dropouts, no obstruction, and no washout. The stage is filmed directly most of the time; the screens are occasionally filmed, usually when the actors are not onstage. It’s filmed in 16:9, with a mix of wides, mediums, and close-ups. The sound is excellent. Includes curtain call and playbill scans. No dropouts and no obstruction. West Side Story - Second Broadway Revival - February 23, 2009 (Preview) (SunsetBlvd79's master) FORMAT: VOB (no smalls) (SD) CAST: Matt Cavenaugh (Tony), Josefina Scaglione (Maria), Karen Olivo (Anita), Cody Green (Riff), George Akram (Bernardo), Curtis Holbrook (Action), Joey Haro (Chino), Kyle Coffman (A-Rab), Ryan Steele (Baby John), Tro Shaw (Anybodys), Steve Bassett (Lt. Schrank), Lee Sellars (Krupke), Greg Vinkler (Doc) NOTES: Stunning production of this revival. Josefina and Karen still steal the show. The cast was on fire and there was a lot of energy in the audience as it was the first performance on Broadway. There are some changes from the DC run, which work better. 20 Things About Me
I got asked these by @bettertoliveinstories! Thank you for sending in these questions, they were fun to do 🙂
I’m supposed to tag three people so here goes: @ginkgo-dreams @ikesensrandomninjagirl24 @paopufruittt (no pressure though! Only do it if you want to.)
---
1. What is your favourite cartoon character? Belle from Beauty and the Beast! (I’m including animated films in my definition of cartoon.) She speaks to me a lot: Like her, I’m bookish and probably eccentric to some people.
2. If you could be fluent in another language, which one would you choose? This is a tough question! I’m currently trying to learn Japanese, French, Italian and German with limited success. If I had to pick... probably French? The novels I read sometimes have French passages in it and I really wish I could read them without the help of Google Translate. It would also be nice to be able to understand the lyrics when I listen to French operas.
3. What kind of food do you like the most? Tom yum, Mala, mee siam, basically anything that’s spicy and sour! I also like Western desserts with bittersweet flavour profiles.
4. What is your favourite holiday memory? Releasing sky lanterns in Taiwan. It was five years ago, but I still remember what I wrote till this day. I don’t really believe in these things, but sometimes, I like to think that it was because of this that I managed to get into my dream university. So some part of me will always cherish this memory 🙂
5. If you could live anywhere in the world, where would it be? The country I’m currently living in, I think.
6. What is the worst job you've ever had? None, actually. I’ve been really lucky to have had good colleagues and mentors for all my internships so far!
7. If you could meet anyone in history, who would it be? Jane Austen, Rosalind Franklin and Dorothy Hodgkin.
8. If you could change one thing in your past, what would it be? Mmm, nothing. My personal motto is to live in the present, and never think of the “what could have been”.
9. What is something that few people know about you? This blog. Believe it or not, only one of my friends in real life knows about the existence of this blog, and that was because I asked her for permission to use her drawings of me as my avatar and background. I haven’t told anyone else in my family or my circle of friends about it. In fact, none of my friends even know that I play IkeSen, and a grand total of two know about MLQC.
10. If you had to evacuate your home, what would you take with you? I actually had to do this not so long ago, when I had to leave the UK quickly because of the COVID-19 pandemic. To be fair, I had booked my ticket quite well in advance because I was planning to go home for the holidays, with the intention of returning in Easter. However, just a week later, the university notified us that Easter Term would be moved online, so lots of my things are still in the UK now. Anyway, here’s what I took with me: Notes, notes and more notes...
11. You only get 3 words to describe yourself, what are they? Reflective. Candid. Free-spirited.
12. If you could jump into a pool of something, what would it be? Clean water.
13. If you could stop time for 1 hour, what would you do? Figure out how to make time stop for longer.
14. If you have a love potion that will make anyone love you back, who would it be? No one. I want people to love me for who I am, not by artificially-induced means.
15. If your life was a movie, what would it be called? Beauty and the Beast. Other than Belle, whom I think I’m quite similar to, there are other parts of the movie which I can relate to. Especially that part about hope fading with the falling rose petals—there was a time that I was really depressed because without a scholarship, I wouldn’t be able to go to my dream university. But in the area of study which I had wanted to specialise in back then, it was nearly impossible to get one, and every rejection felt like a rose petal falling from the stalk. Thankfully, like Beauty and the Beast, everything wrapped up nicely, so I’ll always be grateful to the people who helped me through.
16. If you have a time machine, would you go back in time or visit the future? The past! I have a particular fondness for the Song and Qing dynasties in China, as well as the Regency era in England.
17. If you could be anyone in a movie, who would it be? Hermione Granger from Harry Potter. (I like the Harry Potter books better than the films, though.)
18. If you can choose your couple's name, what name would you choose? I... actually don’t quite get this question haha. I like my name so I’ll just go with that.
19. Where would you go for your dream holiday? Japan. I’ve heard so many good things about it, but I haven’t had the chance to visit yet.
20. Would you rather live in a large urban city, a small town or in the countryside? Why? None of the above—I’ll rather live in a small urban city. Admittedly, the thought of being a hermit in a mountain once appealed to me, but I can’t live without the comforts of modern technology and medicine. Also, in my first year at university, my friend and I travelled to a nearby village for a short trip, and being from an urban city, we were shocked to find that there were no streetlights for a few streets. It was also very quiet compared to the bustling night life that I was used to. Since then, I’ve come to accept that I’m a city dweller through and through. Why not a large city then—it’s a bit too impersonal, a bit too overcrowded for me. I like the place I currently live in!

“Can I t...t-talk to you about something, uh... serious? Personal?” Muddler was sitting on the floor with his head hung low, looking at his hands as he picked at hangnails and old wounds. His hair hid his face and stuck to his lips and cheeks, the only indication that he was crying aside from the minute tremble in his breathing. Joxter thought better than to say anything about it. “Go ahead, Mouse. I’m listening.”
Muddler took a deep breath in and froze for a moment. He always did this when he was trying to collect his thoughts, but it lasted longer this time. He couldn’t quite find the words. But he managed it anyway. “My parents...” He stopped there for a moment before going on. “They’re gone, right? You know that?” “I do.” “I don’t...” Another pause, this time with a heavy sigh. “I don’t think they ‘went missing’ like Hodgkins says.” “Oh? Then what?” Joxter was afraid he already knew the answer. He’d thought it a few times himself, but he always stayed silent on the topic. It wasn’t worth the pain he’d cause, but it seemed Muddler had gotten hurt regardless. “I think they didn’t love me.”
“Mudd-” “Don’t. Just, d...don’t try to tell me they did. I know I got in my Papa’s way a lot and Mamma was always away.” Another breath, but he wiped his tears with his sleeve this time. “They left me with Hodgkins a lot. They...” He sobbed into his hands as he lost what composure he had left. His body shuddered as each sob ran through the otherwise silent room.
Joxter’s claws dug into his legs as he tried to keep himself from getting emotional, too. Muddler was too sweet to be hurting so much, too kind to be abandoned in the way he had. But there wasn’t a thing Joxter could do to. “Can I touch you?” “Huh?” Muddler looked up to Joxter, sobs stopping momentarily in favor of heavy, uncontrollable breaths. “Yes?” That’s all Joxter needed to hear for him to go to Muddler’s side and wrap his arms around him, gently rubbing his back and brushing his fingers through his hair. It confused him just enough to get him to stop sobbing. “What are you d...doing?” “Hugging you. Do you want to keep talking?” Muddler nodded and hesitantly wrapped his arms around Joxter’s neck like he was afraid of his reaction, but he just smiled and gently bumped their foreheads together. “Go on, then.” “Um... Okay.” He put his head on Joxter’s shoulder and took another breath, tears having ceased in his arms. “They left me with Hodgkins before they disappeared. He says he went to their house and nothing was there, that they got swept away in a cleaning, but I know that isn’t it. They just... d..didn’t want me. And you guys almost forgot me when you set sail.” “I’m terribly sorry, Mouse. They left while I was napping.” “They did it on purpose. Maybe not Moomin, he didn’t know me, but Hodgkins did. He d..doesn’t want me either. I always get in his way like I did with my Papa and I’m so clumsy. I keep messing up.” “You don’t- No, no. You told me not to say that.” Joxter squeezed him gently as he thought of what to say, but Muddler continued without prompting. “I think I should stay home from now on. I’m no good at adventures.”
“If that’s what you want.” Joxter’s heart dropped in his chest even more than it had before, a heavy weight just above his stomach. He couldn’t stand Muddler feeling so unwanted. He wanted him. He only stayed on the ship for him. He’d have to set Hodgkins straight. “But, Mouse, it would be awfully dull without you. And none of us can cook as well as you.” “But I get buttons and cogs in the food sometimes.” “Adds to the texture. I personally love the taste of blood in my throat.” “Joxter! Did I make you bleed?!” “No, Mouse. It was a joke.” “Your jokes are always so scary.” Muddler sighed, clearly exasperated with him, but at least he wasn’t crying anymore. If he kept poking fun and offering a few squeezes here and there, he was sure he could get him back to feeling like the sweet, nervous little Muddle he was. “I’m sorry. I can’t help it. It must’ve just been the taste of the cogs. Were they made of copper, by chance?” “No. Those were made of iron. Copper is orange. Do I have t...to go through my collection again?” “I think you just might. I want to know which one it is next time I bite into it.” “Ugh, Joxter! That hasn’t happened in forever! Just come look at them, you silly tom cat.” He’d successfully distracted him from the hurt he was feeling, but it was only a temporary fix. His friend needed support that they hadn’t been giving him, but he’d make sure he got it now, starting with the simple act of listening.
