DPXDC Prompt #101

Danny and his parents were invited to Gotham so they could show one of their latest inventions to Tim and Bruce at Wayne industries. Of course this is the Fentons we’re talking about and something goes wrong during the demonstration. Danny and Tim swap bodies and chaos ensues. Danny finds out about Bruce’s and Tim’s identities after Bruce doesn’t realize they swapped at first and drives right into the bat cave. Danny tells Bruce they need to kidnap Tim since he doesn’t know how to control Danny’s powers and doesn’t want to risk him getting caught by his parents. Tim right before getting kidnapped by his own family figures out Danny is part ghost and is horrified that he lives with ghost hunter parents.

Imagining Danny just finding Batman lurking on a gargoyle or something and holding his finger juuuuuust barely not touching him.

Like. Gotham said to leave her knights alone? He is. He's not touching him. What? being nearby isn't "not leaving him alone" they can still choose not to interact with him. So what if he's in The Bat's personal space? He's THE Batman, her most preciousest number one Knight, surely he can find another way off of the gargoyle if he really wants to avoid him.

Batman turns around from his place on the gargoyle and nearly jumps out of his skin when he comes eye-to-finger with some skrungly kid who appeared out of nowhere??? (Danny has been floating slightly and holding his breath to avoid detection - because of course Gothi can only have completely human knights. GIW suck-up [he calls her this aloud once and three gargoyles crack off and fall nearly onto his head])

Lady Gotham and Phantom are friends- Lady Gotham and Phantom are coworkers/friendly to a degree with each other- Lady Gotham sees Phantom as her child adjacent blah blah blah

Consider the funnier option:

Danny takes two steps into the city and he can feel the city physically vibrating she wants him gone so badly. Unfortunately for her, Danny is a teenager that fought god (pariah dark) once and on a principle doesn’t listen to authority.

Just give me two city-spirits having the absolute worst beef with each other for no reason whatsoever.

Plot Bunny: Danny Is an Unwilling & Unwitting Organ Donor 

Danny (in human form) and one of the Bats is captured by Doctor Hugo Strange (I can’t think of another Gotham rogue likely to do body experimentation). His weird experiments this time around started out with swapping organs from one person (Danny) and with another person’s (the Bat of choice).

Doctor Hugo Strange had only just sown both of them back up but before he could go any further in his experiments, the rest of the Bats arrive at the rescue. By the time Doctor Hugo Strange is subdued Danny’s ectoplasm has healed both wounds on Danny and the Bat-of-choice.

Thinking they stopped Strange before he could do anything, they take their family member home to recuperate and send the civilian on his way.

All is thought to be well until a day or so later when the Bat-of-choice starts having weird experiences. It starts out subtle, but things only grow more apparent as Danny’s ectoplasm-infused organ begins to “infect” more and more of the organ recipient’s body with ectoplasm.

Basically, Doctor Strange accidentally starts one of the Bats on the path to slowly turning into a halfa (or just heavily liminal, if preferred).

Which Bat is effected could be just about anyone; however, if its Tim/Red Robin, Tim gaining a new spleen (and Danny’s body just regrowing a spleen in its place) would be an easy choice. Or maybe Jason/Red Hood and the early signs of rising ecto-contamination could be mistaken as something related to his past dip in the Lazarus pit.

Explaining away shit:

- Handwaving explanations for there being no organ rejection, etc.? Ectoplasm BS.

- Handwaving how nothing was noticed by the Bats during a ‘just to be sure’ check-up back at the cave? Fast healing/ectoplasm BS. (This story idea is ever so vaguely inspired by the fanfic, “A Gift of a Heart” by Alexa Piper on Fanfiction.net.)

Looking for a Fic:

It had bodyswap soulmates. Danny is pregnant, and when he swapped with tim, tim in Danny's body went into labor.

Found the fic it was deleted off of ao3, unfortunately.

Tim gets deaged which usually wouldn't be too much of a problem considering he still has his adult mind in tact. No. The problem is that there was a child who was the same age as deaged Tim and who looks suspiciously just like him.

Oh. And they somehow got swapped.

Now Tim is stuck trying to figure out who and what Phantom is and what dimension his "lair" is in so he can escape. Tim briefly considered just talking to Phantom and explaining things (with some omissions obviously) but after seeing his eyes flash an eerily familiar green he had frozen. It didn't help that Phantom was doting and scarily overprotective of his children. Some robotic rogue with a flaming green mohawk had threatened to harm them while they were out in the stroller and Phantom took off his head with ruthless cruelty. Tim wasn't taking his chances with a bad reaction so he has more or less resigned himself to living life as a one year old along side his "twin" until he can escape.

Meanwhile Danny is getting more and more concerned that the personality of one of his kids has changed. He had been a happy and bubbly baby until he suddenly became quiet and withdrawn. Had his kid been traumatized somehow? He watches them sleep together in thier crib and wonders...

Meanwhile the bats are cooing over baby "Tim" and doing all sorts of baby activities appropriate for a one year old. The sheer amount of baby clothes everyone buys is ludicrous and I greater theres at least three Nightwing themed outfits in the pile. At least.

Damian becomes jealous of all the time people are spending with "Tim" (especially grayson) and bullys the baby for it all the while causing the baby to cry and Damian to be scolded, which only fuels his ire.

After a week of this the bats confront the person who made the device that deaged RR and found out that Tims mind should not have reverted back to a child, only his body. Damian feels victorious and claims his brother must have been faking the entire time and confront "Tim" about it...but "Tim" doesn't change his behavior. He still acts like a normal baby.

After a while of this they decide to run a dna test just to be sure. The DNA test comes back positive...on half. This shocks everyone. They run the test several more times and have to come to terms with the fact that not only is Tim out there somewhere in the body of a defenseless 1 year old baby, but they somehow got his (future?) son with them instead.

Damian has to come to terms with the fact his been bullying a litteral infant this entire time and the shame that comes with that. (It wasn't any better when you thought it was a baby Tim and Jason points that out) Damian does some self reflection and tries to make amends.

I am asking about the stoker swap au

In short, it's an AU in which Danny survives his encounter with The Stranger and goes to work at the institute instead of Tim! Tim is still alive, Danny has NO formal qualifications to be working at the institute, and Tim is So Stressed because he lied on his applications. Danny takes on Tim's role in the institute, while Tim gets increasingly worried for his safety <3 That part does not get easier when he actually moves down to the archives <3

and now because i was thinkin real hard about it and got bored of just typing roughly the same synopsis over and over again, HAVE SOME DOODLES TOO <3 three things i've already written and one i Really Want To Write So Badly But It's So Far Away <3

One has him sweating and screaming "I'm Doomed" with his hands in his hair, another has him looking oddly calm and posed like a corpse with a bouquet of flowers over his chest saying "This is the day I die", and the last one has him bent in half, laying face down in a puddle of tears, clawing at the floor, with his feet out in front on either side of him. "Crying noises" is written above him.

The last drawing is of Tim and Elias. Tim is gripping Elias by the lapels, yelling in his face with a furious and challenging expression, while Elias is sweating nervously and holding his hands up defensively, looking confused and afraid. His glasses are broken and bent and one of his eyes is swollen half-shut. end ID]

the first two drawings are from danny's first field work outings with jon and sasha respectively, the third is from his first interview with elias, and the last is a scene i haven't written yet that takes place directly after the prentiss incident, in which tim confronts elias for putting his employees (read: danny) in danger and then punching him in the face <3

i really wanted to draw tim super mad because i never draw those kinds of expressions and i think he deserves to punch elias in the face <3 i don't think he'd be Quite like that in the written scene itself but it was v fun to draw

My main interest is Sonic the Hedgehog, though I'm currently going through a major Danny Phantom(&Batman) kick.

On the Sonic side of things, I got me this whack-ass AU I call the 4 Hiveminds of the Apocalypse AU – or just #4HMotA – focused on the Black Arms(Renamed to Braex Aurdit. Lots of weird alien-sounding names & words going on here.), expanding their lore, getting some gods involved, etc. even got a whole [WorldAnvil] dedicated to it.

Meanwhile, in DPxDC land, I've submitted a bunch of writing prompts to user StealingYourBones and elaborated on a handful of them, as well as made continuations to various other prompts.

Maybe Danny accidentally made a wish to have a break (he didn't really mean it, he was just exhausted) and he and Tim got body swapped so now he's freaking out in Tim's body around the bats.

What Happed to a Warning

Tim wakes up in Danny's body. Danny is incubating dans core and Dani is deaged down to a baby. Danny is living with Vlad because the Fenton parents are in jail for the same accident that hurt Dani and dan and jazz is in college.

Tim has no idea where he is when he wakes up. Vlad is away on a work trip and because Danny wanted some space(not that Tim knows). Vlad left a note saying that Danny needs to remember to take his vitamins or pills(frostbite given) and the date he will be back.

Tim goes through Danny's phone and finds out 3 things. One the body Tim’s in is pregnant(close). Two his name is Danny and Three there is another kid. That would be when the baby monitor would go off.

I have no specific question lol but im handing in this ask as a "talk about whatever you want" about the stoker swap bc!!! im v curious!!!

Tim loves Danny so much. His desire to protect his brother does not change in this au, if anything it gets more apparent since Danny is still there to be protected. He doesn't want Danny to have this job from the beginning, but he's an adult who did it behind Tim's back so he couldn't exactly stop him. From day one he's so hesitant and worried that Danny is gonna get in trouble, and once he starts doing field work in houses with potential gas leaks with no protocol in place to bring masks or anything, Tim gets worried for his safety.

By the time the institute gets starts to get worms, he's done. Parasites with a confirmed body count attacking his coworkers and showing up at the institute itself? And the big boss doesn't see any reason to worry that much? That's not safe, that's not a place that cares about his brother, Tim won't stand for it. He tells Danny to quit. He can't force him to, but he tries to get him to hand in a resignation. Danny won't, of course, even as afraid as he is. Though he doesn't yet know why he won't do it.

And once the prentiss incident actually happens and Tim shows up at the institute -- since he is Danny's emergency contact for when he gets hurt after all -- he finally meets Big Boss Bouchard who let this go on for so long, who let his brother get hurt, and let me tell you. I cannot WAIT to write that scene.
