Interestingly Mo Rigen in the fantranslation has been rendered Morgen on the official one so suspecting that it was a sinicized name, I just looked up the Shiwei people and as per Wikipedia, like one of the 20 tribes of Shiwei in Tang was the direct predecessor to Genghis khan mongols so yeah.

It's probably that Morigen is his easy to pronounce in Chinese version of his name, and the official english translation has gone with his most likely og Mongolian name, bc in English we don't need to write in hanzi nor pronounce in mandarin so why keep the sinicization.

Honestly I'm meh about this change, bc I think it matters that Morgen is going bout as Morigen amongst mandarin speakers, but also the I is probably ellided in pronunciation and that's just the way is written down (bc hanzi are always consonant+vowel sound) so it'd be actually more true in English to write down Morgen.

Interesting translation conundrum.
