I always forget jaywalking is illegal
#My favorite game to play when I'm at a convention is “can I get across this road before the light changes”#Specifically when I'm at a Toronto convention#Because the actual intersection is sooooo far away#Its easier just to sneak between stopped cars#Sometimes (if I have a panel/photo op to get to) I just kinda say “fuck it we ball” and run across#Which is scary and dangerous in Toronto but my need to be early to literally everything is stronger than my survival instinct#If you're any less than 45 minutes early to a Q&A panel you might not even get in. So usually I plan to be there for an hour beforehand.#And photo-ops I always head over 30 minutes before my time because chances are I'm going to have to fight through crowds#If I have extra time when I get there I can check out some vendors close by#Thursday for Fanexpo I'm a little more chill#There's nowhere near as many people and the panels are in the bigger theatres#So I can wait till 30 minutes before a Q&A panel and 15 before a photo-op#Anything else (cosplay meetups and non-celebrity panels) can be 5-10 minutes#No point in waiting any longer than that#Cosplay red carpets are ALWAYS a 15-20 minute early thing though#Usually I'm there 25-30 minutes early but I need to make sure I get in line ya know#Anyway this got wayyyyy off topic#Idle speaks
