LOOOVE the new look. SO fucking happy with this decision. I'm also delighted once again that Anduin and I are still within the same age range like back in MoP, it's really fun having a character that I adore that's literally the same age as me, I've been growing up with this character and I love it. Anyone saying he looks like he's too fucking old is wrong, I've literally met 25 y/o guys in my college classes that look just like that. It's good. They did good with him. I'm so fucking excited. I'm so mad Wrathion isn't here for this someone fucking get that guy too.

Any other animal hybrids in your lore?

not really. I just really enjoy designing cat people in any universe (I've got khajiit ocs in skyrim, cathar in swtor, a couple tabaxi in various d&d campaigns, etc) so I needed some for my ts4 world lol. the cat people aren't even actual hybrids in my lore, they're literally just a sapient species of cat that evolved into an evolutionary niche normally occupied by hominids in the same way hyenas evolved into one normally occupied by canids.

there are satyrs though, if that counts. I may very well make other animal-related addons, especially in relation to the digitigrade legs, but that's going to lean more into the fae side of things than what the cat people have going on. they're just kinda their own thing.

I kind of lean into the chaos inherent to playing the sims with all packs + some really excellent mods so my world is an ungodly casserole of scifi and fantasy and cyberpunk and whatever the hell's going on in strangerville (which isn't really what the ts4 devs intended to be going on in strangerville because the grocery-store-brand-stranger-things angle was the least interesting direction they could have gone with it). star wars aliens just kind of exist and nobody questions it. magical creatures are walking around. sometimes people are cyborgs. it's a fun time.

So, by the way, does anyone have sources for really solid historical documentation on traditional outfits from the SWANA region, especially before colonialism happened, and very preferably from first hand fashion researchers? I'm trying to build myself a small collection to understand what the hell I'm doing when I'll attempt redesigning OoT gerudos a little (keeping some elements but making them les… Like This), but a lot of what I find is from european scholars. If you have any book or series or text or anything that you think might be a staple of that particular subject, I'm super interested!

Fuck. All Guy and Ruixiong had to do is ask the Master for said snails so they can make their own dyes. They COULD sell it for dosh, but... producing the dye for the market is a fuckton of work, and if they’re short on cash, they can just have Giovanni turn some rocks into pure gold and sell THAT. So it’s simply more pragmatic to keep the dyes themselves, which would attract more attention when they go out raiding and spooking people. Or seducing them if you’re Guy.

I think I also solved my own problem of “how does Ruixiong continue to wear a hanfu long after the Ming dynasty is over?” Abena probably makes them for him.

To lift a lot of harder work, Abena likely uses her poppets like an assembly line for some of the more tedious tasks of making clothes. Kind of like the mice in Disney’s Cinderella. And boy, oh, boy, she’ll need the extra help. The first sewing machine would not be until 1755, and the model most folks associate with vintage old timey machinery would not be until the 1840s. Do you have ANY idea how tedious it is to use the needle-and-thread by hand is? I can barely have the patience to mend tears on my pants whenever I get them and can’t afford to buy a new pair, let alone make a new dress that fits me well by scratch.

The justice league was in disaray. They had failed to stop the summoning, and already the demon was stepping out of the portal. The last standing heros didn't have the manpower to stop a whole thrall army and the magic users certainly hadn't the power to deal with the demon himself. They needed a plan, or a miracle, or the earth was doomed.

Suddenly, Constantine braced himself, and strode right to the beast.

"Don't step further, or I'll have to call my dad."

The heros were baffled. The demon too.

"Your... dad ?"

"That's right," he was sweating bullets but he continued "I'm John Constantine and Phantom is my dad. He cares a lot about Earth. He will not take kindly your little invading stunt."

"Who is Phantom ?" wispered Flash to Zatana.

"I don't know."

The league didn't know if he was bluffing or not. Zatana had recently heard rumors about Constantine's father, but it was all vague, shrouded in secrecy.

The surprised past, the demon laught.

"Alright," he mocked, "Let see what your 'dad' think of that."

Constantine took a deep breath and reluctantly put out a piece of paper form his inner pocket. As he put it in fire with a spell, the cave they were in was breifly plunged in freezing cold and supernatural darkness. A thunderous ice crack resoned, that they could feel in their chest as much as they heard. The shadows sleethed into the form of a titanesque being, and suddenly big, bright, lazarus green eyes opened. And they didn't look happy.

"John."

He gulped.

"Hi dad."

"It's a school night."

"I know," the magician cringed, "I swear I have a good reason."

Now the being looked downright pissed.

"Damn, I would hope so ! Do you have any idea what time it is ?"

"He wants to destroy the Earth !" defended Constantine almost petulantly, waving at the confused demon.

The green eyes looked at the demonic being, then the leaguers in various states of injuries, then the demon again. The demon didn't seem like he wanted to be here anymore. He was proved right when he received a monstruous fist in the face.

The entity grabbed him by an ankle, threw him back to hell, then slammed the portal shut as if it was a door. Constantine visibly relaxed.

"Thanks a lot."

"Don't mention it," grumbled the being. "Anything else you need ?"

"No. And I'm really sorry, I know it's late."

"Just don't make it an habit. See you on sunday."

And just like that, he was gone. Wally had to sit down.
