"Being rude is easy. It does not take any effort and is a sign of weakness and insecurity. Kindness shows great self-discipline and strong self-esteem. Being kind is not always easy when dealing with rude people. Kindness is a sign of a person who has done a lot of personal work and has come to a great self-understanding and wisdom. Choose to be kind over being right, and you’ll be right every time because kindness is a sign of strength." U.N. Owen.

People that have had the opportunity to observe Phainon at a particular distance, always notice that the hero checks his phone every ten minutes ; thumb swiping over the screen in a daze, eyes softened and unblinking, before giggling to himself like a maiden. If they're lucky enough to find out the reason for his yearning, they'll be taken aback to find a picture of you huddled in what appears to be Phainon's coat, dozing off, set as his teleslate's lock-screen. If their staring crosses the five seconds mark, they should back off with a logical compliment directed at you, lest they should incur the hero's displeasure.

We all know existential dread, but I propose (and please tell be if this is already a thing) existential awe.
Sometimes when I handsew or weave or something I get this immense feeling of connection to humanity. People for thousands of years all over the world have sat down and sewn a garment. Archeologists find needles and awls all the time. When I'm tablet weaving I have the same frustration at the arduous process of threading the tablets as the person 2600 years ago must have felt when they made the bands that were found in a celtic man's burial mount not far from my home. They probably also felt their back after a few hours of this.

Random thought:
You know how the New Mandalorian government is descended from the post-Dral’Han Republic caretaker government? But nowhere is it said how that transition happened. Did the Republic relinquish formal control at some point (and just continues to meddle in their internal politics)? Is Mandalore still formally a Republic protectorate, even if they have (limited) self-governance? I don’t think the relationship is ever clarified in canon.

Good Omens season 3/finale thought of the day:
What are the chances that Crowley and Aziraphale will actually have any kind of impact on stopping the Second Coming? Like in season 1 they didn’t really do much in the end to stop the apocalypse. It basically came down to Adam rejecting Satan and Newt fucking up the computers. Obviously their little pep talk with Adam in the show did help things a little, but in the book they don’t even get that far.
So do you think Crowley and Aziraphale’s actions will actively prevent the second coming, or will the action just kind of happen around them again? Love to hear everyone’s theories on this one!

Genuine people don’t come around too often anymore it seems. If you come across someone that’s real and stays true, you may want to keep them close. Many are out for self these days.

"What the herd hates most is the one who thinks differently; It's not so much the opinion itself, but the boldness of wanting to think for yourself - an ability of which they themselves are not capable." Arthur Schopenhauer.

Random thought:
Do you ever think Mandalorians might have practiced slash and burn agriculture? And that one incarnation of Kad Ha’rangir, the god of destruction and growth and change, might have been a fertility and agriculture god?
Slash and burn agriculture can be sort of a seminomadic life, since jungle soils are actually very thin and the cleared plot only gives good yields for a few years, after which the group has to move on and clear a new plot.
