Aziraphale’s Flaming Sword
get your mind out of the gutter - seriously it’s gonna get worse
i’m sure someone has already pointed this out and some meta post have been made but I just wanted to infodump about the actual history behind this sword so yeah

His sword is modeled after the Roman Gladius -or is it the other way around ;) - specifically the Pompeii version - so let’s just get into breaking this sword down

The Hilt
This type of sword has a three part hilt consisting of a pommel (which is used to counterweight the blade), a grooved wood grip (so your fingers fit better and thus have a stronger grip), and a guard (protects the hands from slipping onto the blade)
The Blade
For the Pompeii version of this sword it has double-edge sides that are parallel and come to a short, strong point - typically it would be made out of steel
Size
Usually ranged from 18-28 inches as it continually got smaller and smaller over the years
The History
(the most widely excepted one at least)

The Pompeii is actually one of the latest versions of the Roman Gladius so let’s go back to the beginning
The official origins of this sword have been up for debate but as for how it came under Roman influence that is credited to the Punic Wars in 3rd century B.C. (Republican Rome) - specifically to the Iberians who were allies to the Carthaginians and used a short sword that came to be called the “gladius Hispaniensis.” After the wars the Roman army (besides the cavalry) adopted these swords and began to make changes to better suit their needs.
Thus the Mainz-Fulham gladii came to be. It was their first attempts at making this devastatingly destructive sword the perfect sword for their use so they pretty much ended up retaining the shape (wasp-waisted) and only really making it shorter - mainly used to get through chainmail
Then the Pompeii version comes along with new parallel sides and a shorter tip - along with also making the whole sword smaller once again - mainly used to get through plate armor
This sword would then last the Roman legionary and auxiliary infantry until 2nd century A.D. when they are replaced with the spatha
But in the end this sword served the Roman Empire for more than three centuries, in both their Republic and Imperial times - that’s pretty damn impressive
Fighting Tactics

The Romans are pretty iconic for their tight formations and their Scutum shields
They also carried three different types weapons with them - couple of spears/javelins, a short sword, and a dagger. Obviously we are going to focus on the short sword
Soldiers actually wore their swords on their right side instead of their left because they were in such tight formation they didn’t have room to draw it across their body
With the exception for a Roman Centurion - who were commanders of a unit of about 100 soldiers and 60 of these guys(and their men) made up a Legion - as they wore their swords on the left
Now for what made the gladius so useful to the Romans was that it is mainly a thrusting sword - quick and efficient stabbing - which worked best with their formation but because it was also a double-edged sword it was great at cutting too if their formation ever broke
What they would do is while they were in their formations and trying to advance on the battleground they would take their sword and thrust it beside or above the shield - if they hit their target it more than likely resulted in a fatal injury. Though they weren’t above cutting their opponents at the knees - quite literally because if the opportunity arose they would lift their shields above them and slash at their knees.
It was all a very efficient way of fighting that served them well
obviously this is a very condensed version of a lot of history but it is the Human history behind Aziraphale sword
(and yes this is the type of sword the Roman soldiers have on them at Jesus’s crucifixion)
#quite literally just the history behind the sword#nothing else#good omens#good omens 2#aziraphale#aziraphale’s sword#good omens meta

Look, silly ship art again :P
Their noses are touching! ^_^ aren't they just so cute GRRSSHHHRRGGGGGGHHHHHHH RRRRRRGHHHGHRRRAAASRRRSAHHHHHHHHHHHGGGHHHHHHH HHH
Also since Peri is 20cm shorter than Dale, he had to use a step stool lol GGHTRRRRRAAAAHHHHGGRRSAAAAAA (his balance is kinda bad I hope he doesn't fall)
Here's some other sketches I made. I wasn't sure if to add these but I believe you deserve to see them:
Angel Peri!! I don't think I ever showed his true (AU) form to you (at least here on Tumblr). I love the short 130cm-tall king <3 (though note that he's taller in his human form)
And our lovely depressed and suspiciously Russian-looking Dale! I swear he looks increasingly more dead inside every time I draw him, though it does kinda make sense. I always got a feeling that in the series he often wasn't actually happy and just pretended to be to seem more confident. No self-assured and sane person obsesses over their company's success so much as to completely abandon their family and friends.
Perhaps he doesn't value himself, thinking he will never be as great as his father, who by the way didn't even care to go look for him when he was missing all those years ago (or maybe he did, but his reaction didn't tell that). Dale probably never got the reassurance and support he needed, so now he tries to seek validation through his business. But that's just my headcanon/interpretation.
Oops, I got a bit side tracked there. Where was I again? Ah! Yes, gay people
No extra Tumblr exclusive art this time, sorry. Though I do have some crazy updates!
‼️UPDATE ON SHIP ESSAY‼️I have started writing my essay explaining Peri x Dale and it's about half done. I might split the post in two; one post where I talk about more canon/fanon stuff and another where I delve into my own headcanons (trust me. There's a LOT of lore between them that I've created)
‼️ANOTHER AU LORE UPDATE‼️ I have finally decided that the pixies in my Missionaries of Eden AU are called "vespids" and they resemble wasps/bees. Every demon/angel has a vespid counterpart (similarly to how fairies have their anti-fairy counterparts). And yes I will most likely also create another post explaining everything.
So if there's still some Dari (that's the ship name I came up with) shippers out there, don't worry. You will not run out of content anytime soon! (I have a sneaking suspicion I might be a bit late to the party. Nobody's been active in a while, at least from what I've seen)

Hey Memento Mori I would like to ask you did I can know more about culture and history of each sapient species? And how long each them live , when they hit their equivment of 18,30,35,40,50,60,70,80,90 and 100? Sorry If I made you angry fir so many questions or anwers are arleady here.
I'm never upset about questions! This project is a passion of mine and I could info dump about it all day lol.
Gimme a bit to prep all the info and I'll reblog this with more stuff later, but for a quick answer on ages at least, here are the main people species from shortest lifespan to longest lifespan:
- pixies, which are giant sapient insects in the same family as bees/wasps/ants, individually live around 10-15 years on average. Queen pixies live longer, with an average age of 25 years, and male pixies have the shortest lives at about 6 months from the time they complete pupation into an adult form. Males only biological purpose is to mate and then die, as is common in many eusocial insect species. But their short lives are not used to dismiss or abuse them, as they are considered highly important and given a great deal of honor and ceremony. Pixie hives claim a much longer lifespan as a collective whole, because they are mysteriously able to share memory with each other and this hive memory is passed along through every generation.
- goblins, which are a type of amphibian, on average used to live only 50 years, but since the time of the goblin revolution, they have begun to live longer, reaching 80 and even 90 years at the oldest. This shift in life expectation is attributed to the increase of mutual care between people species, which accelerated the advancement of medical science. It may also be attributed to those goblins that skip winter hibernation by staying in the warm homes of their mammalian friends during the cold months.
- quetzalin, the bird folk, live around 100 years at best, though most die in their 80s or 90s. They are far more physically active and have a high metabolism compared to many other people species, which contributes to their relatively shorter lifespan.
- coastal merfolk, centaurs, gnomes, and orcs all tend to live between 100-150 years of age. The orc who dies at the beginning of my story, He-esh, lived to 150 (subject to change based on other timeline details, but 150 was my original plan). All of them are mammalian species with hardy bodies built to withstand difficult environments and changing seasons. The coastal merfolk are pinnipeds (related to seals and walruses and sea lions) while the centaurs are descended from chalicotheres and the orcs and gnomes are of the same family as pigs.
- dwarves on average live between 200-250 years of age. They are actually the last remaining hominid species, more closely related to Neanderthals than homo sapiens, and they are also built quite sturdy with a more durable metabolism than the modern human.
- elves, stroi, and drow, the primate sylvanid family, all tend to live up to 500 years at best, with the elves often outlasting their cousin species. However, more recent studies have found that the sylvanid lifespan is slowly decreasing. This may be attributed to higher activity in the younger generations which has altered their metabolism, and this change of activity was mostly brought about by an increase of interspecies interaction, as younger sylvanids are spending more and more time in diverse communities. It is now speculated that the most recent generations may only live to 300 years on average.
- one exception to the longer lives of sylvanids are the drow matriarchs, who give birth to every child of their colony. They are a eusocial mammal species, with the majority being infertile and males being less common. Matriarchs tend to have a shorter life expectation due to the physical exertion of giving birth so many times. They're not built for it quite as well as pixie queens are, and frankly the pixie queens only need to lay a lot of tiny eggs, while drow matriarchs give live birth, the majority of which are twins. On average, drow matriarchs undergo their unique secondary puberty at 50 years of age and typically give birth once a year for 100 years, at which point they undergo menopause and face a swift health decline, living to the age of 200-250 at best.
- the ogres, a mountain dwelling species of sapient giant sloths, have the longest lifespan of any people species, living around 800 years on average. This extremely long life expectancy is attributed to their much slower metabolism and relaxed lifestyle. However, many people forget that ogres have such long lives because they are often viewed by others as less intelligent due to their seemingly limited vocabulary and their lack of collective settlements or even large nomadic camps. They tend to live in very small isolated groups that only travel a little to gather with other ogres for holidays or to trade with other people. They interact the most with dwarves, who live in their territory. Ogres will frequently leave their more vulnerable young ones in dwarf caverns for safety.

I've mentioned that the 1,000 Flower Garden kingdom in Great General Mighty Wing could go well with a Squirrel and Hedgehog AU I have planned, but after reading the Manhwa, It really does fit well.
Basic plot of the manhwa is that the honeybees have a kingdom and are really good at making medicine, so the wasps and spiders try to invade in order to take over and/or eat them, and Mighty Wing saves the day a lot.
First off, the Mighty Wing fanfic is already off to a good start now that I have most if not all of the details. I'm thinking it will be a shorter 8,000 to 12,000 words, going off the first page and a half I have written so far. Canon characters for this one, of course, and it won't cross over the sah I think.
I am thinking of possible future OCs for future projects, though. For instance, a yellow jacket soldier named Malbeol, perhaps. Like a yellow jacket kingdom nearby that also wants to special medicine, but understands that they could probably trade for the medicine since the honeybees seem to do that with other insects and animals, so no need to invade. The honeybees still don't trust them because the kingdom is split up into soldier Yellow Jackets to watch the other insects, and the other insects do the pollinating and farming work, like some sort of monarchy. Except the other insects really are in danger from spiders and the yellow jackets need to be ready to defend at a moment's notice.
I kind of see Malbeol, who, as a soldier, was not supposed to do certain menial things, accidentally discovering that she loves pollinating flowers and nectar. I'm imagining a murder mystery where she is one of the suspects, but she gets cleared because she is covered in pollen and somewhat gastral drumming (wasp version of the bee dance), and doesn't even know about the body. Cute little hyperactive yellow jacket OC I guess.
However, Mighty Wing does fit in great with the Flower Hill corruption AU.
I can surmise that a group of bees gets sick and tired of constantly being attacked and killed by the wasps, and wish for the simple days before the kingdom was formed when they didn't have to deal with all of that. Plus, I know that generals in the past have been declared traitors or stripped of their titles and punished for doing too well in repelling attackers. If, say, the queen is paranoid and has Mighty Wing imprisoned for actually succeeding too well, other honeybees might think that if she does that to her trusted general and advisor, then what would she do to them, the regular soldiers?
So a group leaves, either because one of them steals royal jelly and starts to become a queen, because they don't agree with her treatment of Mighty Wing, or because Mighty Wing held half of her power, and without him she doesn't have the pheromones (actual bee biology) to keep everyone in check. Plus, groups of honeybees in real life will just straight up leave if they don't like the conditions or consider the area too stressful. Maybe they are survivors who don't like to fight or can't bring themselves to fight what they see as a never-ending battle anymore.
They end up living in the same area as the hedgehog and squirrel characters who were declared possible traitors and sent to a remote farm in the Dol Jogagga mountain valley, in order to cover up embezzlement and corruption in the Flower Hill army. Maybe they bring Mighty Wing with them.
But since the honeybees from the 1,000 flower garden are famous for medicine, they might be able to help concoct a special medicine for the hedgehog with Wobbly Hedgehog Syndrome that helps them survive, in exchange for them weeding and filling up some water containers every day. I kind of imagine the rest of the Flower Hill group relaxing while the WHS hedgehog gets up to adventures with the bees.
Also, they might work with Enoki the hedgehog to grow Enoki mushrooms due to their medicinal and nutritional values.
Which makes half of the Corruption in Flower Hill AU once again giving me Barakamon vibes alongside the dark and dirty government corruption.
#I know Enoki is a more Japanese name but Enoki isn't a Flower Hill hedgehog anyway#She doesn't follow my usual naming practices but I can have maybe just one outside the norm since I love the sound of the name#as a treat#great general mighty wing#the great general mighty wing#squirrel and hedgehog#squirrel and hedgehog OC#haha Malbeol looks like the English name Mable#but I think it is cute#I see her as a high spirited girl#yellow jackets have a temper and the honeybees know that#I mean I did get a good portion of the vibes from Barakamon#that is a thing and it keeps coming back there

Wasp being weirdly soft with animals. The guardians have to fight some alien or mutated animal and Wasp somehow calms it down without hurting it or causing too much collateral damage. Even Mark was down to punch the thing (he obviously didn’t want to hurt it but there wasn’t much of a choice). Wasp having an actually joyful look on his face when the monster nuzzles him and cracks the pavement he lays on. The monsters tough enough that Wasp can actually hug it (obviously not full strength still) without worrying it’s gonna break.
SO SORRY FOR ANSWERING THIS LATE!!!
So!!! I see Wasp as a bad person. Like, a genuinely bad person no one thinks will ever be redeemed — which is why it's such a surprise when he actually turns to the light side of the Force
Pre-redemption Wasp would not care too much about those. Just like Nolan, he believes humans are pets, and he didn't really have a deep desire to kill them all at first, but well. They rebelled, didn't they?
Animals are even lower than humans. They can't think, can't talk, can't anything. However, unlike humans, Wasp finds them very cute — he thinks their inability to rationalize is fun
To him, animals are adorable, but more in a twisted sense, like a cat playing with its food. They're not humans, so he doesn't actually search for them to kill them, but he has no problems with harming them, either for his own entertainment (he doesn't do that much, because it's funnier if it's with humans) or because it's convenient to him
Young Wasp, when he was a kid, had a pet. But pets don't live long, so he spent most of his life without it — Nolan used it as a lesson, to teach him how such short lived beings are worthless in comparison to them, and how if he only surrounds himself by those, he will end up alone
When he grows up, Wasp doesn't care that much about animals anymore
After the redemption, though?? Wasp is still a violent asshole who is ready to kill if needed, but he's seen the love life brings and has already learned that the shorter a lifespan is, the more the person will do to be remembered — he has already learned that they matter, humans or not
So, he starts giving some things a chance (he stays on Earth even after the war, along with little [SPOILERS] and his sister and stepfather, unlike [SPOILERS] and [SPOILERS] and their daughter)
He tries to get a job. He saves people, even cats in trees. He uses the violence he was taught to need as a method to help others — he begins to heal, not only himself, but the rest of the world, too
He learns a lot of things. He reads more, he babysits Kate's kids, etcetera etcetera
Among those things, comes a rediscovered love for animals!
At some point, Mark visits him and finds his house ("Why does Wasp have a house?") full of kittens. He won't say it, but he's pretty proud of how far he's come
( @thebrainrotsreal thoughts?)
#unfortunately this is after the whole uhhh#y'know#rudy thing#so not everyone will get to react to it :(((#oof this is pretty long#sorry#get redeemed loser au#invincible

Thank you for the tag @djarins-cyare 💙
Do you make your own bed? - If we're expecting guests then yes. But otherwise on a daily basis, not really.
Favorite number? - 455. Ever since high school I thought saying four-five-five had a fun flow to it and I used it for a lot of passwords back then lol and then imagine my shock that my 2 fave drivers in F1 are #4 and #55 😮 the universe works in weird ways!
What's your job? - Transcriber. But I'm tentatively planning on going back to school in January to become a court reporter 🤞
If you could go back to school, would you? - Not college again, no. But, as you can see above, becoming a court reporter is a different and shorter approach for a career and all my classes will be online which is great!
Can you parallel park? - I did to pass my driver's test, but then promptly unlearned it. I do all I can to avoid parking in all forms lol
Do you think aliens are real? - I really hope not. Has freaked me out since I was little 😅
Can you drive a manual car? - No.
What's your guilty pleasure? - I collect a lot of stuff--stickers, pins, Mandalorian stuff, 1D stuff, funkos, red pandas, etc. I used to get made fun of a lot, but it's calmed down over the years.
Any phobias? - spheksophobia (wasps), tokophobia (childbirth), whatever the term would be for giant squids *shudders*

@ptternminds sent in: Sarang's hands suit themselves perfectly to the task at hand, even though they're the hands of a killer. It's almost a shame, how easily she forgets they are, when she buzzes around Suki like a butterfly, a dragonfly, as opposed to the wasp she actually is. She's holding up two pairs of earrings. Right hand: silver, long enough to graze the jaw ever so slightly if the head is tilted just right, fine and soft to run through a palm. Left hand: the other, similar, but rather than appearing like a string, small light pink hearts cascade in a shorter length, ending in a larger heart carrying most of the weight between her fingers. Her eyebrows waggle. She lifts the left hand slightly higher. "You gotta pick a pair. It's all about exploring new styles, come on." ((i was writing this and realized in spite of Sarang being a WHOLE LOT ORDER when I think about these two, Suki feels more mature? in how she handles the past, in particular? BUT ANYWAYSD FDKLHGL))
UNSURPRISINGLY, SHE'S ALWAYS HAD A LOVE-HATE RELATIONSHIP WITH FASHION. On one hand, it is a means of expressing herself– if she dressed well enough, smart enough, or maybe even outrageously enough, would they notice that before her face? She's dreamt about it before, always wondering, always milling on the possibilities, but never quite bold enough to take the risk.
( Of the things to be timid around, it just has to be fashion doesn't it? Perhaps this is something she could ask her co-workers for advice once upon a time– man or woman or enby, most are decidedly bold in their fashion choice. From leather jackets to fur linings, to frills lining the edge of magenta overcoats, they are brazen in their choices. Confident and closed to any if not all critiques. )
Of course Suki barely knows where to even start. It's not like she can ask her co-workers ( or at least the ones she actually still likes ) anyways– it occurs to her that just like with other areas in her life, perhaps getting a mentor is key to learning. It can't be a man though, no matter how well dressed they are and unfortunately, if not all of them happen to be well, men. Again, it occurs to her that having no femme-aligning friends is coming to bite her in the ass.
But even if it was a woman, her mentor would need to carry herself in the same manner as all the others: relentless, patient, and wise. Pro-active too– Suki's learning has always been more hands-on. So it'd have be someone like–
Jing holds up the two earrings, which as far as Suki is aware, are only different by the hearts dangling on the end of the right one. She tilts her head. "What about the rest of the outfit? I thought people are supposed to pick the accessories after they have one." Something she remembers from the one too many dramas she's watched. Would Jing also have seen and learned from them?
( Nowadays, her job is busier than ever, but in a strange contradiction, Jing has been around even more...almost as if she knew most of the people whom Suki used to hang around are gone. )
But of course, Jing, who handles everything with a light touch, insists on making a choice. That, Suki can empathize with. There is only so much time for one to deliberate before the waiting becomes the choice. And Suki?
Doesn't have the luxury of time. Especially not in her job.
She points to the one on the right. "I like the hearts but–" She pouts, exasperated. "I need them to look at me as an equal. I'll look more like a kid if I wear the other one."

hi!! your acc is so cute i love your aesthetic <3 can i please request a genshin matchup? i’m bi & use she/her pronouns!
for my personality, id say im pretty bubbly and excitable. i’m an isfj & cancer, & i try to look on the bright side and try to listen to/help when they’re sad. im very affectionate with the people im close to, and i tend to cling onto my friends arms and hug them a lot. i love anything soft or cute, especially animals!! im kinda scared of bugs though, but i still always try to take them outside. i get distracted pretty easily, and have a hard time dealing with change. i tend to be a bit bossy and unreasonable when it comes to something i’m interested in. plus i get really moody and irrational sometimes when it comes to something i want (im very stubborn lol). i also really like going for walks, shopping, yoga, baking (even though i’m dreadfully awful at it), and reading. i like complimenting strangers, and i try to see the best in everything & everyone! though i can’t really tolerate it if somebody is overly cruel or rude to the people i care about. i have a very “do no harm, take no shit” mentality :)
for my appearance, im 5’1 & have fairly long light brown hair. my eyes are hazel, im fairly pale with a few freckles sitting across my face, & my cheeks are perpetually rosy andjfjjek. my style is usually pretty soft & girly, & i really like dressing up even if i’m not going anywhere. i also really like to do makeup, both on myself and others. also since i’m on the shorter side, i like to wear platform shoes since being tall makes me feel cool!
please & thank you!! have a nice day :)
. . . ꒰ MATCHUP VI
A/N: HIII AND THANK YOUU :'D I wanted a simple aesthetic that would still look nice, and I thought light blue would be a good color that matched what I was looking for :') Also yes sorry for taking so long T_T I still have one more match-up to do but hopefully I'll get done with that one too!

I match you with: Thoma! Thoma has no qualms over receiving hugs or the like whenever you’re feeling affectionate. He reciprocates with his own gentle hug and kind words, asking you about your day or what you’ve been up to. He even gets used to your surprise hugs with ease, not even flinching when he feels your arms wrapping around him suddenly while he’s cleaning. He already knows it’s you.
Thoma also feels drawn to you thanks to your helping nature. He’s used to being the one doing the helping, but who helps the poor overworked lad?! It’s common for you both to cheer each other up with no problems at all. It’s akin to a symbiotic relationship, so of course, he feels endeared to you in no time.
You love cute, soft animals? He’ll take you to Komore Teahouse to meet Taroumaru. Also, don’t be surprised when you find out he often feeds stray cats and dogs too. You’ll find him crouching down as he pets one of those stray kitties or dogs he’s feeding. Of course, you’re welcomed to pet them as well. He also loves taking care of these animals and this shared interest will bond you two more.
Thoma’s not squeamish about bugs. He offers to get rid of those for you. He doesn’t kill them –unless it’s actually harmful like a wasp—he uses the known technique of the cup and a napkin to take the little creature out.
When you express your interest in baking, Thoma is quick to suggest you two should bake together. He notices little mistakes you probably make during the process and kindly helps you correct them. With his help, baking is often easy and with the expected results. He doesn’t mind giving you more tips whenever he has some time off.
Yes, this goes without saying, but Thoma would let you use him to practice makeup. Seeing your face upfront and intimately close does makes his cheeks red, but he doesn’t shy away from it. Instead, you’ll see him smiling and wrapping his arms around your waist.
Honorable mention: Albedo. I like to think this could be one of those "opposites attract" situation and I think it'd be cute! Not saying Albedo can't be nice but you know, he's more reserved. Plus, I think Albedo would be intrigued by your friendly personality.

WASP REVIEW - BUZZ BOMBERS & BUZZERS (SONIC THE HEDGEHOG)
[Image IDs: An official illustration of the Buzz Bomber for the original Sonic The Hedgehog, followed by a 3D render of the Buzzer, as depicted in Sonic Colors /End IDs.]
The Sonic The Hedgehog franchise, while I haven't yet finished many of the games I've played, holds a soft spot in my heart, so I'm very glad to get a chance to talk about it, however, this Wasp Review will have to be a shorter one! The premise of these reviews is mainly about analysis and rating how they compare to the real world, but there's not all that much to analyze entomologically just on the fact that they're both robots and don't have much information on how they would behave even if they weren't. Maybe I'll have to return to the franchise some day though, Charmy The Bee isn't exempt from inclusion here!
That being said, though, looking at what we do have, the design of the Buzz Bomber is definitely vespid-like in nature, comparable to a paper wasp (Polistinae), but with how wide/fat their body shape is, I'd instead say they resemble hornets or yellowjackets.

[Image Sources: Britannica, Paul Starosta and the University Of Kentucky's Department Of Entomology, Johnny Dell | Image IDs: Two photos of wasps on green leaves, the former being a black, yellow, and red european hornet and the latter being a black and yellow, eastern yellowjacket /End IDs.]
Meanwhile, the Buzzer has a much longer waist, resembling that of a mud dauber, some sphecid or crabronid wasps, however, this model also seems to have a relatively fat gaster (the wider part of the abdomen that follows the waist, or petiole), so perhaps it would be more appropriate to compare them to the potter wasp, another type of vespid.

[Image Sources: UC ANR Blogs, Kathy Keatley Garvey and iNaturalist, Adli Wahid | Image IDs: Two photos of wasps, the former being of a yellow and black mud dauber standing on a small plant, while the latter is of a yellow, black, and red yellow-and-black potter wasp seemingly in the act of building a nest /End IDs.]
The degree to which they resemble the real thing also depends on which game we're talking about. Both the Buzz Bomber and Buzzer are propelled using rockets or jet engines in place of its legs, but whereas the Buzz Bomber has always had wings, the Buzzer originally didn't, solely using the jets. Later designs added on the wings however, as well as Sonic Generations giving the Buzz Bomber a second pair (where it has historically only had one, in opposition to real wasps' two pairs) and a design more similar to the Buzzer in general. The original Buzzer sprite also didn't seem to have jaws, compared to later designs that do. Both of them have a very similar function, firing projectiles from their stinger, which is not something that many real wasps do (Except some ants, as mentioned in my review on the War Wasps from Metroid Prime).
[Image IDs: A screenshot of Sonic The Hedgehog 2 that shows the original sprite of the Buzzer, followed by a 3D render of the Buzz Bomber, as depicted in Sonic Generations /End IDs.]
In the end, I can't rank these guys on real world accuracy, but I absolutely can rank them on design and presence! In my opinion, the design of these bots, is quite charming, keeping in line with most of the Sonic series as a whole. I do find it unfortunate that these are, once again, hostile enemies, like a lot of fictional wasps, but again, they're not supposed to be natural entities, as is the whole point of the Badniks, which avoids some of the problems I would have with that. I can't give a perfect rating, but I love them!

Hey.. I always wondered-
Since bugs like Fireflies have a lifespan of 61 days and some bugs even shorter or longer-
Do Bug World No Mercy characters have a twice expectancy lifespan, or is it like Warrior Cats in that these are semi-fantasy and "shut up do not think too hard about it?" Kind of stuff?
Is there year equivalents to the bugs like how Moons = Months (and how Months is derived from Moons).
How about suns? A full day cycle is 1 sun and a full month is 1 moon? Sorry if this dumb!
I am down for either. I am just wondering, like caterpillars and stuff. After going into a chrysalis, a lot of bugs won't see them, or half of them will die before a butterfly or moth emerges. It's kind of funny, but I'm just wondering your general idea on that!
Curiousity happened because I was making a firefly OC for Bug World No Mercy to post on my blog, and I saw the lifespan and went, "Wait a minute..."
So I actually had that question in mind when I fully started to get more into writing for Bug World No Mercy. I going to go and extend the ages of the bugs purely just so we don't have a different, like, butterfly character every moment because the previous one died. I find a lot of interest in that lifespan term though, definitely considering that for sure
Right now I'm rough drafting bug ages but I have a list of the shortest lived bugs to the longest lived bugs
rough idea of the shortest to longest lifespans in the story:
Mosquitoes Flies Worker Wasps Worker Ants Worker Bees Fireflies Cockroaches Wasp Queen Dragonflies Slugs Pillbugs Butterflies Beetles Bee Queen Moths Ant Queen Earthworms Cicadas Hammerhead Worms (Technically immortal)
Unsure lifespan placement:

2112's Rant Time #5 (Special Edition #2): A Double Feature of God/Timelord-like Proportions! (SPOILERS FOR GODZILLA: MINUS ONE AND DOCTOR WHO: WILD BLUE YONDER INBOUND!)
Oh bloody 'ell it's review time! This is the 2nd of 3 special edition rant times where I'll be talking about how I feel about the anniversary specials of one of my hyper-fixations, Doctor Who! Today's rant/review, however, is especially special... as it's a DOUBLE FEATURE!
Yesterday the latest live action Godzilla movie, Godzilla: Minus One, released. I just got to watch it today (along side Wild Blue Yonder), so I decided to talk about both in one post. For the first half, I'll talk about Minus One. Then in the second half, Wild Blue Yonder. So let's get started, shall we?
GODZILLA: MINUS ONE
I'm not the biggest Godzilla fan, though I REALLY like to think that I am. I love the Legendary Pictures movies, and Shin Godzilla is literally in my top 5 movies of all time. So saying I was excited for Minus One is a bit of an understatement. So, what did I think of it?...
I really liked it! Definitely the best Goji movie since Shin Godzilla (though the Legendary ones are "just about" as good). Goji's design in the movie is just perfect. It's the perfect modern Godzilla design. It takes aspects from past designs and adds some modern touches.
The human characters were actually pretty charming, especially Koichi. His story development throughout the movie was very engaging. I found myself more engaged with the human characters in this movie than most other Goji movies (even Shin Godzilla, which had the best human characters out of all of the modern (2014 onward) movies up until now).
The atomic breath in this movie is absolutely amazing. Instead of being a constant beam of atomic energy, it charges up (similarly to Shin Godzilla), which makes the dorsal plates raise out of Goji's body (which is a very nice touch). Afterwards a powerful, yet short lasting, beam is shot out of Godzilla's mouth. After the beam is shot, a LITERAL ATOMIC EXPLOSION is caused. It is ABSOLUTELY my favorite version of the atomic breath (though the Shin Godzilla one is an extremely close second).
So overall, Godzilla: Minus One is a fantastic take on The King of the Monsters, and is my personal favorite version of him. 9/10.
And now... it's time for...
WILD BLUE YONDER
Yea it's good. I'm not gonna tease y'all. It's damn good.
And to be honest, I put all of my weekly review energy (which isn't a lot to begin with) into the Minus One section, so this section might be way shorter and unserious so here we gooooo.
First off, this episode takes place entirely on a big ol' spaceship. And right off the bat, I LOVE these types of episodes where it only (or at least mostly) takes place in just about one area. The main other 2 of these I can think of is The Unicorn and The Wasp, and Heaven Sent (my favorite episode of Doctor Who, which I will ABSOLUTELY do a Review Time™ of in the future (Review Time™ is what these specials rant times will become after December 9th)).
The episodes starts with the tardis crashing in the 1660's, right on top of the tree Sir Isaac Newton sat under when he came up with the theory of mavitation. The Doctor and Donna talk to the man, which then Donna says "You can appreciate the gravity of the situation". COMEDY GOLD BTW. Afterwards, they leave. Newton then ponders on the word he had just heard from the 2, which he remembers as Mavity. Mavity then becomes the episode's running joke. And GOD I hope this running jokes stay's it's so good.
The Tardis then crashes onto the previously mentioned big ol' alien spaceship, and usual DoctorDonna shenanigans ensue. Donna and The Doctor spot a robot they call jimbo. jimbo is lovely but moves slowly. Slow and steady wins the race, afterall. Lifeforms that can copy other lifeforms appear, and the chase is on (also giantess fetishists are gonna have a FIELD DAY with this episode).
Late on in the episode, The Doctor is talking to Fake Donna. They mention their home, Gallifrey. Which Fake Donna then says "nah mate that's wrong i read ur mind mate you dont bloody know where ur from mate." Then Fake Donna mentions the flux and suddenly all of the Chibnall haters turned into goo like Fake Donna did right after mention the flux (which was NOT undone btw. actually kinda happy about that).
The Doctor and REAL Donna then runaway, find out the captain of the ship did an unalive by going outside her ship without a helmet on to stop her mind from thinking permanently (causing the Copycat Lifeform things to be useless for 3 years), and then Fake Doctor runs on all fours very fast and ngl I want more of that please I WANT TO SEE MORE OF DAVID TENNANT RUNNING ON ALL FOURS PLSPLSPLSPLS-
Anyways, jimbo explodes the ship and The DoctorDonna manage to escape. Then all of a sudde- HOLY SHIT WILF CAMEO.
oh and everyones killing each other or something idk the episode was fucking amazing
10 Wilfred Mott's Dancing out of 10.
Okay, okay. To be serious for a minute, the Bernard Cribbins cameo was very sweet. I did kinda hope we would see more in The Giggle, but RTD says that the scene we got in WBY will be the last we see of Wilf. Which is sad, but completely understandable.
Anyways, hope you enjoyed this double feature post! Probably not gonna do more double features anytime soon, because the usual posts take a while to type, and this took essentially double the time. But yea, see y'all next time for the FINAL of the 3 special edition rant times, where I'll be taking a look at The Giggle...
OH SHIT I FORGOT I BEAT LIKE A DRAGON GAIDEN AND I NEED TO TALK ABOUT IT!!!
(post about it will come tomorrow maybe.)

got through ep 8 of kuuga today!
points of interest:
i'm increasingly becoming extremely endeared to godai (suprise to no one? insert ryuji's "a real man oughta be a little stupid" etc etc etc_)
we got the first two new kuuga colors that briefly flash in the intro (though i guess white -> red was the first "new color," i mean blue and green). i found green a lot more interesting than blue but maybe that's bc i found ulf14 more interesting than ulf6 (the jumping around.... very 2000.....) also i really like that he just uses a gun in green form.
i'm enjoying ulf 03 being this sort-of comic-relief that keeps screwing things up for the other grongi and getting kicked around by them (also i'll try my best to refer to the grongi as their actual names when i can remember it but there are so many of them and it's hard enough keeping track of the ulf numbers.....if all else fails i'll just go The Grasshopper One... The Wasp One etc etc etc)
mika's plotline hit me really hard (thus rings in my first kr cry) but i might not technically count it bc just about anything with dead dads gets me these days lol
bringing up multiple times how ichijo Doesn't Have A Girlfriend is so jfhksdjhfsdfhskjf we have to laugh. esp when that examiner lady (idk police jobs.... forensics?) asks him and then he has to segue into introducing godai. okay girl. i try my best to go through first watches without the Goggles(TM) but at this point i think they are welded to my face. (this is a lie the goggles are always on i mine for subtext like it's my job but i'm trying to not make that what most of my post is about)
ANYWAYS!!!!!! i also love sakurako she's my girl. i think she balances the whole dynamic out really well with some needed skepticism and caution (but also seeing her bike out to relay how blue form works mid-battle was so cool!) also not plot-related at all but she has this look where she was in this cream sweater and her hair seemed shorter than usual and it was A Look i was like omg....
the only thing i can think of that's not really clicking w/ me is godai's boss at the restaurant? he's just not my sort of comic-relief character, but it's not a huge issue i just get a bit bored if the focus is on him for a bit too long
that's it for my watch session today! i think i will try to get these sorts of posts out every time i watch a good chunk of a show!
#i don't usually do live-bloggy stuff publicly but i'd like to try for this!#it'll be less liveblog more end-of-watch-session thoughts/impressions#kalo watches kuuga#also this got longer than i initially expected i might put this under a read more in the future? maybe?

HIVEWINGS
[Rainwings] [Icewings] [Mudwings] [Seawings] [Nightwings] [Skywings] [Sandwings] [Silkwings] [Leafwings]
Headcanons about Hivewings!
BODY Hivewings are strong and sort of Hyena-built, with long arms and shorter legs. Their shoulders are the most beefy part of them. They have thick necks and big heads, with relatively dainty back legs and a thinner tail. They are usually covered in spikes, from their head to their back and under their chin. These spikes can also show up on the elbows, thighs, wrists/ankles, shoulders, and chest. Almost all hivewings also have spurs on their wrist, and a lot of them have them on their hock as well. This is not a stinger, it is just a spur of bone, though it can have a stinger attached to it. Their horns are pretty uniform throughout the tribe, having a spike and a swoop upwards, but this can change rarely. Some traits they picked up from nightwings are their beak, eyes, ear shape, and underbelly scales. As stated in my silkwing headcanon post, I believe that Clearsight only mated with a few beetlewings, and after she was gone those children started to close themselves off because “we look more like Clearsight, so therefore we are better” and the divergence started there. Therefore, a lot of hivewings have a uniform look to them. They’re also prone to a lot of inbreeding diseases but we don’t have to talk about that.
COLORS Colors include blonde (light yellow), true yellow, green, orange, red, and very rarely, blue. The horn and beak are always dark, like a nightwing. Their eyes can be any of those colors, as well. Spots and stripes are very common, as well as a banded tail. Not much to say here.
WINGS Just like silkwings, they do not have four wings - the fingers and arm of the base wing are just spread out differently. The ‘arm’ is pretty short while the fingers branch off. I made them this way because evolution does not usually result in new limb formation. They do not have to flap quite as often as silkwings do to stay aloft, but they have to flap a lot more because of how relatively small they are. They are very good at making sharp turns in the air.
ABILITIES I’m working on a theory that venom and fire in dragons are very similar, at least in how they are produced in the body. So hivewing venom is modified fire from Clearsight’s genes. They manifest as fangs a lot, but these fangs can migrate and appear on the claws, wrist spurs, and tail. They can have a sort of projectile quality to them or just static until they are injected.
RECESSIVE TRAITS Arrowhead tail - recessive gene from nightwing blood. It is seen as a sort of “royal” gene, since the more you look like a nightwing and precious Clearsight, the better. Most of the Ladies have this, as well as Wasp. Third horn/axe-head - a third horn grows down the center of the head. Very popular with guards. Antennae - yes I know I spelled it wrong on the post but I’m too lazy to change it. This is a retained trait from the beetlewings, but hivewings hate it since it makes them look like a silkwing. If the baby isn’t killed for being a “hybrid” then they are surgically removed, which usually just involves ripping them off with force. Elytra - also a retained beetlewing trait, but one that’s accepted a little more. It’s a hard, scale-like structure that grows on the shoulders to cover the wings, and can be voluntarily moved out of the way to allow flight. Some hivewings will get these removed, though, because they say it makes it difficult to fly.
YOUNG AND EGGS Young hivewings cannot fly for a long time. Their wings are very small compared to their body and it takes them a while to even out. Once they do even out, though, they pick up how to fly really quickly. Their ears are very big and they’re quite cute. The eggs are milky white to a light tan in color, and they have the same stick-to-each-other quality that snake eggs and silkwing eggs do. They are separated quickly before they have the chance to stick to each other.

OKAY WHO AM I KIDDING I ABSOLUTELY DO DARE
this whole verse can be summed up by this one message from my discord!
So, the long and the short of Amity's vampire state: I've kind of written it as an in-between state of a complete Vespodoza transformation (Human-to-Pokemon fate worse than death type deal) and a human existence, leaning heavily onto the fact that Vespodoza is known for it's massive swarms of millions of insects described as 'mouths with wings' that run on a hivemind and could darken the sky en masse.
SHE'S A VAMPIRE - BUT IN THE WAY THAT LADY DIMISTRESCU'S DAUGHTERS ARE VAMPIRES FROM A TECHNICAL STANDPOINT, in fact, I draw a lot of inspiration from the Dimistrescu sisters (and the Jorōgumo) when it comes to a vampire!Amity and parts of the way she works! Amity IS the undead; she DID die, HOWEVER, she's not a corpse.
SO THE BASICS:
Amity doesn't go out during the day much, but it's not that she will die if she does; it's just easier to maintain normalcy and to keep people from noticing the slight imperfections in her form under the cover of night.
Amity cannot transform into a bat or a swarm of bats. Instead, she can transform and freely shapeshift between a humanform and MASSIVE (>5000) swarm of insects of an indeterminate species (they're Vespodoza's species, which is a hellish amalgamation of wasps and fleshflies and visually almost has a human-like statue-esc flair ala. those spiders from The Mist also WARNING FOR THE LINK; it's a concept art drawing for the spiders from the film; if you're afraid of spiders or spider-like creatures, I recommend not clicking it!)
Amity doesn't suck blood in the typical fang-on-neck way, but she's carnivorous and only capable of eating/digesting meat through her swarm. Eating with her mouth in human form is pointless and a waste of time. Only her flies can consume energy for the collective. This said, biting her victims allows easy entrances for Amity's flies to burrow deep into the flesh to lay their eggs.
She's not nocturnal or diurnal, but a third secret thing: she never needs to sleep! She is bugs! Rotating bugs, a massive hive-mind of THOUSANDS of bugs that are a machine unto itself. She has no need to sleep, no drive to sleep (mostly, she can be tempted by the humans around her though) and so, she tends simply not to! How does she do so much AND have a good social life? Cause she doesn't sleep baybeee!
THIS BEING SAID THOUGH, now that she is Bugs, she's now susceptible to low temperatures and shorter photoperiods which would force her swarm to begin halting her metabolism and forcing her to undergo seasonal diapause and eventually shut down for hibernation completely (which would obviously leave her very open & very vulnerable, so she has her loved ones put her entire swarm in a large crate with leaves and bury her in vampire fashion until next spring)
Amity CAN'T transform other humans into whatever a person could consider her state of existence to be—however, she DOES rely on humans to maintain her existence, and she propagates using human bodies to host and incubate new generations of flies for her swarm; like a parasitic wasp, and, like wasps, often transforms her victims into a zombified, thrall-like state in the process as she's shut their brain down, (yes, she does need to maintain their numbers! They naturally have a lifespan of 5 years, but there needs to be constant rotation regardless! Some will be squished, some will be killed, some lost, etc. facts of life, that!)
Amity is capable of Vampire-Typical hypnosis—not through staring into the eyes or supernatural charm, but through chemicals produced by her swarm, which she can inject into her prey through bites from both the swarm and her teeth.
Amity can fly! This is mostly through reverting her body into her swarm form!
OH AND THE DEATH THING - yeah, Amity IS dead, but she's not a corpse - let me explain. So, Vespodoza in his Pokemon / interdimensional-demon-thing form was two parts - his body and his swarm, and his swarm was, for the most parts his greatest strength but also his most immense burden because they were so huge. He knew this, so when he'd get beaten back by the legendaries into needing to slink away, what he'd always do is kill off and consume his current swarm and re-lay hundreds of thousands of feet of hive and dormant hidden beneath the Earth's surface in caves. That way, he could slink around incognito and regain his strength slowly until he was ready to emerge as a reborn menace. He would call all of the hives to burst open and the swarm to return to him. But, things changed, Vespodoza took over Amity, Amity took over Vespodoza (this is all the basic canon for most verses, btw), and then Amity was killed, and where Vespodoza used to be was now her spirit. Her body, as in the physical body, is dead, so her consciousness swapped over to the dormant hives Vespodoza had laid, and for the first time in 200+ years, the swarm emerged with her in partial control and flocked to the Tower of Silence, where Amity's (and Vespodoza's) body laid interred. Amity didn't know what tf was going on, but the Swarm came pre-programmed bc drones and consumed her corpse down to dust to regain her former power and to allow her to use them to return to having a body (using her former corpse as a blue print). AKA. weird demon flies learn to shapeshift by eating a corpse Kirby-Style and other perfectly normal concepts executed by Bunny! Haha
She has the usual strength and resilience, and whatever—we know the vampire gist—a lot of that is because of how fluidly she shifts from fly to human and the sheer overwhelming and overpowering number of flies in her swarm.
NOW STORYWISE??? It's still kind of fluid, I'm working on things, twisting things, y'know. cause this is a sort of love child of me wanting to put Amity through new unforeseen hells!
So, the starting point: THE MOB SUCCESSFULLY ASSASSINATED AMITY. The exact gorey details of how things broke down are unnecessary to detail, but she danced too close to the fire. She had enough of the oppression, of the badgering and the fear, and them trying to kidnap her siblings was HER last straw. She joined in the fight against them and was a key reason why her section of the Country felt emboldened enough to fight back. She was a danger and a revolutionary, and though to that point she hadn't hurt more than their social standing, she was ordered dead, and dead she became - a martyr in the face of change.
But Amity didn't stay dead, as I mentioned above, no sir. Life would not allow her to float away into that dark night - things went black, and a new life slowly began. She found herself seeing through a thousand eyes, enough to make her head spin, and with little control - she saw her corpse lying in state, and she'd felt the thousands of mouths eating it. But through that sensory hell, she gained power, little by little, she got control of the swarm, she directed them home - one by one - but the scene of her siblings mourning for her only broke her further and was the coal in the fire that demanded she get ahold of this new existence.
She needed hands to hold them; she needed to show them that she was here and that she was still around - she needed them as much as they needed her. And two weeks after her passing, she was back like a cloud - or a ghastly - her bugs couldn't handle her in a touchable form, but she began knocking on windows, squeezing through and trying to talk. To the Coven, to Noriko, to anyone (but the youngest; she couldn't show herself to them in this form)
The Palace residents couldn't even mourn in peace, it seemed - cause as soon as Amity's remains were taken to be cremated - everyone began reporting seeing her and hearing her voice in the night. Some might chalk that up to grief, but given Amity's love of ghosts, most suspected it was something malicious that was trying to feed off their grief.
They did cleansings and ceremonies, called in specialists that knew more than themselves, but nothing and Noriko was ENRAGED - this was her sister's memory, and the ghost was only getting more emboldened and their form becoming more complex. By the end, Noriko was inviting the supposed spirit - carrying around a purifying stick and hoping it'd emerge just so she could unleash her anger and grief on it. & of course, Amity called out to her - she was now almost a full person, or person-passing at that point. She called for Nori to please, please listen, and Nori.... well, Nori beat her with the purification stick while Amity tried to reason with her and prove she was the real Amity (siblings will sibling). But after confessing details no one else would have known AND that she knew that Noriko had hidden Amity's father's ring in her corpse's fist, a fact which Noriko had told no one and even produced said ring. Noriko believed her, she knew Amity was who she said she is.
Things fell into place after that, Amity was presented in her buggy undead form to the rest of the Coven, and they didn't reject her - in fact, while it was painful, they embraced Amity in her new form and began covering for her and sheltering her.
The assassination? It was a real assassination but it wasn't Amity, it was a different family member that pretended to be her, the real Amity was in witness protection, she was fiiiiine. But the Coven knows AND the Mob knows the truth. They tried to send others to 'finish the job' but somehow after that, their assassins seemed to disappear... funny that and things became a kind of 'happily ever after' if you don't pay attention to the growing number of missing people in the Region.
(ALSO IT GOES WITHOUT SAYING AMITY IS A BIT EXTRA MURDEROUS IN THIS VERSE BECAUSE SHE IS SO ANGRY ABOUT HER ASSASSINATION AND SHE'S NOT LETTING THE MOB GET AWAY WITH IT OR THE PAIN THEY CAUSED HER LOVED ONES (by killing her) )
BONUS POINTS: While no one exactly understands Amity's condition, in an effort to try and find a cure for whatever's happened, they (Coven and Amity) end up reaching out to anyone they think could have the expertise to help— especially cultural leaders and historians! Who come in thinking they're just going to be asked for educated input but really, they're going to come face to face with the being responsible for much of the dangerous reputation that the Mountains have
Do I dare get silly on the main and post the frankly horrifying somewhat-vampire AU for Amity?? DO I DARE

So, uh, is there more on the wasps and moths and bees thing you would want to share?
I'd be up for hearing more. 👀👉👈
*Unfurls scroll* I would be more than happy to share.
This got long though so under the cut we go!
So so so, there's been a long history of disputes between these three groups of peoples. Before the current day in the games, there was an all out war. It is fair to note both the wasps and wax moths wanted the land and abundance of resources and wealth present in Golden Hive as well as to settle this festering hatred, but neither group could ever defeat the bees.
Eventually, Eggman invades and destroys Golden Hive instead, leaving only Charmy and Saffron. Now, I've never read any part of the comics where this actually happened, I've just been doing my own thing here, and for several reasons this is moved in my canon to having happened shortly before Charmy first met the Chaotix in the Newtrogic High Zone. It was an Eggman base for a time before he eventually abandoned it, and the wasps and moths moved in to take over, were in dispute over the stuff there (now not just land and resources but also leftover Egg tech) before building the wasp-moth alliance.
So current day, we have the wasp colony, ruled over by Queen Camelia. Queen Camelia is a perfectionist and obsessed with winning. She's very very charismatic, excellent at convincing her people and Silkfoot's that 'this needs to happen for the sake of our people and our countries', and can rally people into a frenzy. Though so far the least seen villain of the piece, Camelia is definitely the mastermind, the overarching villain. The only other seen member of the wasp monarchy is Camelia's younger sister, Princess Veronica.
Camelia's pride and obsession makes her especially enraged that her people never legitimately won their war against Golden Hive.
Veronica is noticeably more open about her rage. She's stronger, meaner, with a shorter temper and will actually fight on the front lines if needed. This makes her a significantly dangerous enemy during the story. She also wields a spear coated in poison. She has enough physical strength to be classed as a power type.
The bulk of the wasp army is female, and like Veronica, typically use poisoned weaponry (though Veronica's is far more potent and deadly - it's one she developed herself).
Then ofc we have our military thing that is the wax moths, who, outside of Silkfoot and Candle specifically, haven't gotten much attention, but we do know Silkfoot agrees with Camelia's ideals, is aggressive when trying to gather information, wastes no time in calling others out on lies and does not accept criticism. Despite considering himself a strong, incredible leader, he and his people are easily swept up by Camelia's words. We also know Silkfoot puts a lot of trust in his fellow moths, and commands a great deal of loyalty.
So, it's assumed that peace between the wasps and moths came about because Camelia and Silkfoot fell in love and got engaged and were able to come to some agreement in sharing the land and power and whatnot. Camelia then comes up with this idea that they can still win a symbolic victory over Golden Hive. Yes, they've already moved in and messed everything up, but they didn't get this on their own power and never settled that long schism and that burns them up. They fought for years and in the end someone else did it and then just abandoned it all. That's not a victory, not to Camelia, not to Silkfoot, but they do find out that the crown prince of Golden Hive is still alive. So, symbolic victory, take out the prince, ensure he and any other survivors out there can't take it back and force them back out again. Strike the final blow. Makes publicly executing this child sound like a true victory against a threat that doesn't actually exist any more. Hypes everyone up for the hunt. Makes a huge spectacle of it. It'll take place on a big stage with everyone watching. And they will happily take out anyone who gets in their way.
Charmy's gonna call them all cowards. There on the stage, he tells Camelia he's not scared of her, because she's not scarier than anything else he's faced before. Not the Metarex, not the Black Arms, not the metal virus, she's just a lady who never wins about to take all her anger out on a child, except she won't even get to do that because Charmy's friends are here to save him.
With everything still in its base planning phase and primarily existing as a bunch of scenes that don't fit together yet, everything established about them so far is the bare basics of what's relevant to the established story parts lol
#Hopefully this all makes sense and isn't cringe lmao#sonic oc#my ocs#OC: Camelia the Wasp#OC: Veronica the Wasp#OC: Commander Silkfoot#charmy bee#I feel like this mostly ended up being about Camelia lol
