I think it's interesting that the picture Stanford uses of himself for his note in The Book of Bill shows him walking into what is very likely the same birch stand where he met Bill the first time, at around the same time of year when he met Bill the first time.

It appears to be a bit of a clearing, and the trees in the background are spruces or firs rather than the redwoods that take up most of the Gravity Falls forest. The only slight difference is that in Stanford's current picture there appears to be a mountain in the background and there isn't one in the background from when he met Bill. But there's a real simple explanation for that: the picture was taken from a different angle. I'd hazard to guess that, if we panned the image from the past around (my guess is turned to the right), there'd probably be a hint of a mountain coming above those trees.

Anyways I'm sure it's a stretch to say that this is intentional but. It is interesting.

some notes: 1. xu da's blade here is the dadao, or the big sabre. i swear this isn't a pun, it's different da characters. 2. the background is refencing a specific early 13th century painting, ma yuan's 'scholar viewing a waterfall'. (go look at the original, zoomed in, at the met museum site). 3. the abacus and the suanpan coexisted historically across the world from each other, but if one inspired the other is unclear (according to my shoddy research)

to those who aren’t allergic: if you could only eat three TREE nuts (so peanuts don’t count) for the rest of your life, what would they be? you’d be allergic to every other kind of tree nut, not necessarily deathly allergic but it’d be so unpleasant that it wouldn’t be worth it. (let’s not count coconut either, since most people with nut allergies aren’t allergic to them)

Only 6 days after Christmas and we have 2 trees already.

We have a tradition of bringing home trees, without tinsel, we see set out for the trash.

We have a fire pit. Christmas trees burn well and smell good.

ok this is gonna sound wild. BUT. Me and my buddy @honeycomb-ferret are attempting to start up a clangen universe vaguely based on cults and evangelical religion, each clan being a different denomination of sorts. Very religious trauma/how growing up under different religions raises many types of different people type framework on a clangen blog. Rn I have it set as four clans but as little as three and as many as can border one another is fine, I love working with others and sharing universes and creativity

I also want to make it clear I’m not asking for free art. It would be your clangen blog and your cats and game and final decision on everything, I’m just looking to work with others on a creative project because I love bouncing ideas off others and sharing worlds with people.
