I found Inu Curry's commentary on the "Prologue in Heaven" shot that haunts me, and it only raised more questions. I don't know what I expected.

Here is what it says as best as I can make out with my fledgling Japanese and a bunch of online references:
逆 まにった街と穴があいた空。 The upside-down city and the hole in the opened[?] sky.
"Upside-down city" seemingly refers to Walpurgisnacht's goal of turning Mitakihara upside-down both literally and metaphorically by ripping the buildings off their foundations and making them hover in mid-air. It's a little difficult to see in the above sketch, but the finished film version is a little brighter so you can see the buildings in the upper corners.
However, what is "upside-down" depends on our perspective. Is the city upside down because Walpurgisnacht has made it that way, or because we, the audience, are viewing an upside-down image? This is another way in which Walpurgisnacht messes with our heads and confuses our ideas of what constitutes reality.
As for the second part of the sentence, there are a couple of different past tense constructions that are pronounced "aita" (あいた), and I'm not sure which is applicable in this situation because this phrase is written in hiragana. In this context, I'm guessing 開いた ("opened", "emptied") which has considerable overlap with 空いた, with the latter using the same kanji for 空 ("sky") and therefore creating a pun.
空 is a complex character with a lot of meanings, and I think it is doing a lot of load-bearing here, but for now I'll also note the contrast with 穴, which means "hole" in the sense of "cave" or "being underground". Earth and sky might seem like total opposites but given that 空 can also mean "emptiness" or "void", they simultaneously have a lot in common, to the point where 空 even includes the 穴 radical in it.
All this is to say, it feels like there's a lot going on in this line, and I still have a lot of questions. Still, it seems like we have a distinct contrast between the inverted (solid, material) city and the (intangible) "hole in the sky", which might refer to the black circular void at the center of Walpurgisnacht's mandala, which appears to be drawing everything up towards it.
逆 さまの山の頂にワルプルギスの後光。 Walpurgisnacht's halo on the upside-down mountain's peak
Once again we have a juxtaposition between two things, one of which is inverted, but this one is a little more straightforward straightforward, in that the halo is right there and the original Walpurgisnacht celebration was said to take place on Mount Brocken in Germany. And indeed, if you flip the image upside-down, it's much easier to see the "mountain" in this image--the pyramidal shadow upon which the witch's mandala now appears to be resting.
From this perspective, it looks very much like another drawing in the production note of Madoka's witch Kriemhild Gretchen reaching up to the heavens with Walpurgisnacht hovering overhead for scale [as explained in the two boxes immediately above the drawing].
This page is also the source of the famous Inu Curry quote that Walpurgisnacht and Gretchen are like two halves of an hourglass (bottom text), another statement that makes me want to gnaw on the furniture every time I think about it. Why would you do this if there wasn't supposed to be some connection between them??! And why an hourglass, given its associations with one character (Homura) in particular?
This is why I have always interpreted this shot as Walpurgisnacht and Gretchen together in "Heaven", which raises all kinds of fascinating metatexual questions like, "Why did Inu Curry et al. decide to open with this particular image?" and "Is this a frame narrative implying that the entire story is a performance by Walpurgisnacht?" and "If so, why would Walpurgisnacht be its narrator?", etc, etc.
Of course one very obvious answer to all of these questions is "Walpurgisnacht is somehow Homura and the story she is retelling is the story of how she and Madoka came to be united as super-witches in 'heaven' and everything we take as 'real' in-universe is actually inside her labyrinth and has been a staged production from the beginning", but at this point, that's all heavily speculative at best. (It doesn't hurt that the white glare resembles a vinyl record in motion, records are a recurring motif that go round and round, hourglasses are associated with Homura, etc, etc-- but I digress.)
Another is, "Inu Curry thought it looked cool and it's something that may never be fully explained, just like the anime's ending with Homura in the desert and the black wings isn't really explained in Rebellion", which may be correct but would be disappointing in a series where every other detail means something. Also, after a close study of Rebellion, it's clear that Inu Curry doesn't generally do random details--anything that's there has a meaning, even if only to Inu Curry, even if it's not fully elaborated or expanded upon in the finished film or in the production notes. So that seems like it might have happened here as well with this scene--that it's meant to represent something that wasn't ultimately developed in the final version.
It could also be that Inu Curry believes that Homura and Walpurgisnacht are connected, but that doesn't necessarily translate to the script that Gen Urobuchi wrote and so remains ambiguous and unspoken visual subtext. Or this could be something from an earlier draft that stayed in while other things got changed, so its original meaning is no longer relevant.
However, given that in the Rebellion Production Note, Inu Curry associates Homulilly, the "Witch of the Mortal World/Near Shore" with "color" (used in a Buddhist sense to mean form/matter) and Madokami with its opposite, emptiness (which also uses the same character for sky, 空) then it's possible that Walpurgisnacht is the upside-down city and Gretchen is the hole in the sky. This is admittedly a convoluted chain of logic that only works if you assume Homura is Walpurgisnacht, but given that Inu Curry created both of these juxtapositions in the first place, I can't immediately rule it out. Symbols and motifs evolve and change over time (or could mean two different things at once) and Walpurgisnacht is certainly "upside down"; if her labyrinth does contain Mitakihara, well, that's an upside-down city right there. But like I said, this is all purely speculative at this point.
That said, Inu Curry was clearly thinking along similar lines at one point, because an early draft for Walpurgisnacht in the anime production note shows Walpurgisnacht as a "stage" with buildings on it:
(If you're wondering why it's a bubble, it's because in Inu Curry's first drafts, the labyrinths were all spheres with fixed dimensions, which did not carry over to the final version.)
In Walpurgisnacht's final design in the anime, the stage became a giant cog, while the original gears at the base were replaced by the doll body, but at one point, the witch was indeed a city, or a facsimile of one. Her labyrinth disappeared because she is ostensibly too strong to "need" one, but her official goal is to turn the entire world into a drama nonetheless--which, as I read it, means making the entire world her labyrinth and erasing the distinctions between "reality" and "fantasy" entirely.
And given that Rebellion features Homulilly, a witch whose labyrinth takes the form of a city, and that city is initially indistinguishable from the "real" thing--and ends with said labyrinth seemingly encompassing the entire universe--the stage is now set for more reality-bending revelations in Walpurgis no Kaiten from one or both entities with overlapping thematic motifs.
Of course, how much of any of this will end up carrying over to subsequent installments is an open question, but I'm definitely watching closely to see where this ends up going. Since the title and at least the first trailer for Walpurgis no Kaiten suggest that Walpurgisnacht will return and her mysteries will be revealed, I'm hoping we'll finally learn what this cryptic "shot "Prologue in Heaven" shot and its description actually mean--even though I'm also bracing myself in case it ultimately remains unexplained.

I’ve Got Your Back - {Part 2}
Bucky x Y/N
Bucky meets you, a student making ends meet at an over-priced convenience store. Despite being afraid of entering the world of romance again, you just seem to …understand each other. Maybe there’s more to them both than they originally thought.

Warnings: Mild language.
The next morning, the first thing you did was check your phone. It was an instinct - one you weren’t proud of, but old habits die hard. The screen glowed to life, and your heart nearly leapt out of your chest when you saw a text from Bucky.
Bucky: Can we get dinner? Not as ex-assassins. Just as… a couple of people.
You read it once. Then again. Then a third time, just to make sure you weren’t hallucinating.
Your stomach flipped, your fingers tightening around the phone. It wasn’t a date—not really. He hadn’t said that. He hadn’t called it anything. But he also hadn’t said as strangers or friends who can kill a man in seventeen different ways. He’d said just as a couple of people.
Holy. Shit.
You barely managed to hold back an excited squeal as you flopped back onto the bed, clutching your phone to your chest. For a second, you just let yourself bask in the moment. This was uncharted territory.
Bucky was reaching out. Making an effort. Choosing to spend time with you outside of the chaos that had defined their lives for too long.
And that? That deserved a proper response.
You typed back quickly. You wanted to tell him how amazingly, excitingly, awesomely fantastic you thought that idea was. But you decided not to.
You: That sounds good. Time and place?
The reply was quick.
Bucky: Pick you up at 7?
You grinned. It’s a date, you typed out, then immediately backspaced. Looking forward to it, you tried next. Too formal. Too stiff. Can’t wait, you finally settled on, pressing send before you could second-guess yourself any further.
The moment the message was delivered, you sat up, ran both hands through your hair, and let out a breath.
You needed a plan.
Scratch that - you needed the plan. Something foolproof. A battle strategy, but for romance.
Step one: wardrobe.
You bolted out of bed, nearly tripping over your own feet as you made your way to the closet. It was a disaster zone—half tactical gear, half casual wear, with very little in between. And absolutely nothing that screamed effortlessly cool but also stunning but also not like I tried too hard.
You had to go all in.
Cue the montage.
You stood in front of the mirror, frowning at your reflection. You’d gone through at least half your closet already, and nothing felt quite right.
First attempt: an old leather jacket, dark jeans, and combat boots. Classic, sure, but too much like your usual. Bucky had seen you in this already. He deserved something more.
Second attempt: a sleek, fitted dress - tight in all the right places, bold and striking. But the moment you put it on, you felt like you were trying to be someone you weren’t. Too much effort. Too much look at me.
You sighed, rubbing your temples.
This wasn’t just about what Bucky would like. It was about what you felt good in, too.
So, you tried again.
Third attempt: a soft knit sweater, tucked into high-waisted jeans. Simple, casual, comfortable. Something you could move in, breathe in. You paired it with a pair of ankle boots - enough of a heel to make you feel a little extra, but not enough to slow you down.
You turned to the mirror again, smoothing your hands down your sides. It was you, but refined. A softer version of yourself. Not a soldier, not an assassin - just a person.
And wasn’t that the whole point of this?
Satisfied, you grabbed your phone to check the time. 6:30. Just enough time to finish getting ready.
As you reached for your makeup bag, you caught a glimpse of yourself in the mirror one more time. You looked… excited. Hopeful. Happy.
And, you let yourself feel it.
For once, the weight of your past didn’t feel so heavy. It was as if Bucky’s words had untied the knot that had been choking you for years. You weren’t your history, you was your choices. And maybe choosing to go out with him was a step towards making better ones.
Plus, he was damn hot, and you were going on a date with him!
Your stomach fluttered as you applied a light dusting of makeup. You wanted to look natural, not like you were hiding behind a mask. A swipe of mascara, a some lip gloss, and you were ready. You took one last look in the mirror, your heart racing. This was it.
When Bucky arrived at 7 PM sharp, sheyou were waiting at the door, your breath catching in your throat at the sight of him. He was dressed down in a well-worn leather jacket and jeans, looking every bit the hero trying to blend in. His eyes swept over you, and you watched as a smile tugged at his lips, the corners of his eyes crinkling.
“You look beautiful,” he murmured, holding out a bouquet of pretty red flowers.
The gesture was so unexpected, so utterly unlike anything anyone had ever done for you that you couldn't help but blush. You took the bouquet, feeling the petals brush against your fingertips, the vibrant color standing out starkly against your palms.
“Thank you,” you murmured, your voice thick with emotion. “This is so sweet..You didn’t have to.”
Bucky’s smile grew and he nervously scratched his neck. “I wanted to. It’s a little old fashioned, I know but..It’s what I grew up doing.”
You stepped aside, letting him in. “Well, I appreciate it. No one’s ever given me flowers before.”
The confession slipped out, unbidden. It was the truth, a stark one that painted a picture of a life devoid of romance, sweet gestures and gentle moments. The kind of life you’d never allowed yourself to dream of having.
Bucky looked at you, his eyes soft. He didn’t say anything for a long moment, just studied you, the bouquet of flowers suddenly seeming so much more significant than mere decoration.
“Ready?” he asked, his voice a gentle rumble.
You nodded, the excitement bubbling up inside you. “Yeah. Let’s go.”
The drive was filled with comfortable silence, the kind that didn’t need to be filled with words. Bucky’s vintage motorcycle hummed beneath you, the wind in your hair, the city lights blurring into streaks of color as you sped through the streets. You felt a thrill that had nothing to do with the speed and everything to do with the warmth of his body pressed against yours.
When he pulled up to the restaurant, a quaint little Italian place tucked between a bookstore and a vintage record shop, you couldn’t help but feel a twinge of nervousness. It was the kind of place that had candles on the tables and a menu that required a translator. But as you slid off the bike, he gave you a reassuring smile that melted the nerves away.
Inside, the smell of garlic wrapped wafted over past the door. The walls were lined with framed photos of old Hollywood stars and the murmur of conversation and clinking of silverware created a warm backdrop. The hostess looked surprised when Bucky walked in, her eyes flicking over to Y/N before she gave a small nod of approval. She led you to a cozy booth in the corner, the candlelight flickering across the red-checkered tablecloth.
Bucky ordered a bottle of wine, something he assured you was a good choice for first dates and you found yourself sipping it, feeling the warmth spread through your chest. The conversation flowed easily, a dance between the mundane and the profound. You talked about your classes, about the people you’d met, the books you’d read - things you hadn’t talked about in years, not with anyone outside the Red Room. And he listened, really listened, his eyes never leaving yours, even when you talked about the things that didn’t matter.
The food came out, steaming plates of pasta that looked too good to eat. You picked at yours, the smell of the marinara sauce making your mouth water. Bucky, on the other hand, dug in like he hadn’t eaten in days. You watched him, his movements so familiar yet so different in this setting his hands sure, his eyes focused. And then, you felt it - a warmth spreading over your bottom lip. You froze, your eyes shooting to Bucky.
He looked up from his food, catching your gaze. His eyes followed the trail of the sauce, and a knowing smile tugged at the corner of his mouth. He didn’t say anything, just leaned in slightly, his thumb brushing gently against the soft skin of your lip. The touch was feather-light, sending a jolt through your body that was anything but innocent.
Your breath hitched.
Bucky’s thumb hovered over your lip, the warmth of his skin searing into yours. He had noticed your slip-up, but instead of laughing or pointing it out, he offered a gesture so gentle it was like a secret shared between the two of you. His eyes searched yours for permission, a silent question that seemed to ask if it was okay for him to touch you like that.
You nodded, your heart hammering against your ribs. It was such a small thing, but it felt significant - like a door opening to a room you’d been too scared to enter. The pad of his thumb swiped away the sauce, his gaze never leaving yours. The air grew thick with tension, the kind that didn’t make you want to run away, but rather pull closer.
“Can I tell you something, doll?” He says, the name making you melt inside.
You nod, wiping your lip with your napkin. “What’s up?”
Bucky’s smile grew, his eyes twinkling in the candlelight. “That night we met, at the store…”
You leaned in, intrigued. “Yeah?”
“Well, I noticed you right away, obviously. But it wasn’t just because you’re pretty,” Bucky said, his eyes holding yours with an intensity that made your heart flutter. “It was the way you took his crap with your head held high, like you were made of something stronger than the rest of us. And when you laughed at my terrible joke about Carl and the snack display, I knew I had to get to know you better. You got this spark, Y/N.”
You felt your cheeks heat up, the compliment caught you by surprise. “Thanks, Bucky,” you murmured, playing with the stem of your wine glass.
He leaned back, his gaze never leaving yours. “No, really. It’s rare to meet someone who’s been through hell and still finds a reason to laugh. You’re pretty amazing.”
You took a sip of wine, trying to ignore the way your cheeks burned. “You’re not so bad yourself, you know. For a guy who’s seen the worst of humanity, you’ve got a pretty good heart.”
Bucky’s smile grew softer, and he shrugged. “I’ve had a lot of practice trying to be better. And I guess that’s what we’re all doing, right? Just trying to make up for the mess we’ve made of things.”
You nodded, feeling a strange kinship with this man who’d been a part of your life for such a short time. You knew all too well what it was like to have a past you weren’t proud of. “I, uh…think it’s time to call it a night.”
Bucky looked at you, his smile never faltering. “Alright, doll. I had a good time tonight. You sure you don’t want dessert?”
You bit your bottom lip, considering. The food had been delicious, but the real treat was the company. “I think I’m good. Maybe we can walk back?” You suggested, not quite ready for the night to end.
Bucky nodded, seemingly happy with your proposal. As you stepped out of the restaurant, the cool evening air hit you like a wall, but it was a welcome change from the heat of the booth. You slid your hands into the pockets of your jeans. The city was quiet, the only sounds being distant sirens and the occasional laughter from groups of people passing by. The stars above looked like pinpricks in the dark fabric of the sky, the neon lights of the stores and the yellow glow of the streetlamps beaming down on the road.
You both walked side by side in comfortable silence, the cobblestone beneath your boots echoing softly in the night. It was a simple pleasure, a reminder that the world wasn’t always about fighting and surviving. That there were moments of peace, even in the most unexpected of places.
As you strolled past a small park, Bucky’s eyes lit up. “You know, I used to come here when I first got back,” he said, gesturing towards a swing set. “It’s quiet. Helped me think, you know?”
You hummed, understanding all too well the need for quiet spaces. “We should go sit, then.”
The park was smaller than you remembered from your childhood, but the swings still creaked with the same rhythm. You both sat down on the cool metal seats, the chains clinking gently as you swayed back and forth. The air was thick with the scent of damp earth and the distant promise of spring.
Bucky’s weight was an amusing juxtaposition to the swing, it groaned slightly as he settled into it. You watched him, his broad shoulders and muscular arms looking a bit out of place in the child-sized seat. With a gentle push from his boot, you both began to swing in tandem, the creaking of the metal a soothing soundtrack to the quiet evening. The sight of him, a man who had seen and survived so much, sitting there with the innocence of a child was both endearing, surreal and rather funny.
You couldn’t help but smile at the absurdity of it all. “What did you use to think about?” You asked, your voice barely carrying over the gentle squeaks of the swings.
Bucky’s eyes searched the night sky, the stars twinkling like a secret shared between them. “Everything. Nothing. It’s the only place I could get my head on straight after everything.”
You found yourself watching him, the way his eyes searched the sky, the gentle furrow of his brow, as if the answers to all his questions were written in the stars.
You start to shiver, the cold air finally seeping through the warmth of the wine and the excitement of the evening. Bucky notices and without missing a beat, takes off his jacket and drapes it over your shoulders.
“How very chivalrous,” you tease, the words feeling both playful and a bit like a sigh of relief. You hadn’t felt this taken care of in a long time.
Bucky’s smile reaches his eyes, the corners crinkling in a way that makes you feel seen and understood. “Just trying to keep you warm, doll.”
You snuggle into his jacket, the leather still carrying the faint scent of motor oil and the coolness of the night. “Oh, you do that anyway.”
It had slipped out before you could stop it, and once again, your cheeks flamed up with embarrassment.
Bucky’s lips parted with a loud, deep laugh that echoed through the quiet park. “Well, that’s good to know. I like knowing I make you warm.” His teasing was gentle, the kind that made you feel like you weren’t the only one feeling the tension between you.
You shivered, this time more from his words than from the cold. “You do a pretty good job at it, Mr. Barnes,” you said, trying to keep your voice steady.
Bucky’s smile grew, and for a moment, you could see the ghost of the young man he once was, before the war, before the experiments. Before the pain that etched itself into the very fabric of his soul. “Well, it’s a talent I’ve honed over the years.”
“What, flustering the ladies?”
Bucky’s laugh was rich and utterly genuine. It was a sound that made you feel like you’d just shared a private joke with the universe. “Something like that,” he said, his eyes cast behind you.
You turned to follow his gaze and saw a couple walking their dog, the animal’s tail wagging happily as it trotted along. The sight brought a soft smile to your face. “Shall we go?”
Bucky nodded, and you both pushed off the swings in unison, his jacket still wrapped around your shoulders. As you walked, the conversation drifted to lighter topics—movies you’d watched, music you liked and the ridiculousness of reality TV. It was easy with him, like you’d known him for years instead of just a handful of days.
When you reached the front of your apartment building, you stopped, your heart thumping in your chest. This was the moment, the one that could either make or break the evening. The moment in which most movies went from a PG rom-com to something more R-rated… Bucky paused too, his eyes searching yours as if gauging your thoughts.
He leaned in closer, his breath warm against your cheek. “Can I walk you to your door?”
“Yeah..” You breathed.
The walk to your apartment felt like an eternity and yet, it was over in the blink of an eye. You stopped in front of the peeling paint and chipped brick exterior, your heart racing like it had never done before. You fumbled in your pocket for your keys, the metal cold against your fingertips.
Bucky’s presence beside you was both comforting and nerve-wracking. The way he looked at you, with those piercing blue eyes, made you feel like you were the only person in the world. The air was thick with anticipation, a silent question hanging between you. You managed to forget how a key works in the chaos.
Finally, the lock clicked and you pushed the door open. You stepped inside, not quite ready to break the spell of the night. But Bucky remained outside, as if waiting that extra moment to see what you’d say.
You turned, leaning against the doorframe. “Thank you, Bucky. For the flowers, the dinner, the company…everything, really.”
He nodded, his eyes never leaving yours. “It’s nothing, Y/N. I had a great night.”
You stood there for a second deliberating, but you opted not to be a pansy. “Do you wanna….come in? For a drink or something?”
Bucky’s eyes searched yours, a hint of surprise and hope flickering in them. “Sure, I’d like that.”

Or, continuing from this, consider:
Perhaps, the human-turned-Vessel isn’t alone when they wake up. Perhaps they aren’t the only Vessel left trapped in the Abyss. Perhaps, these others that look similar to what they now are can help them.
If they can communicate, it soon becomes clear that the others aren’t like themselves; they’re not human people shoved into these bodies. They seem to have been born into them like normal. They’ve been here for a long time.
If they can’t, the human still gets the impression it’s unique among them, through observing their behavior and their reactions.
Regardless, the others seem fascinated by them, how differently they act and behave. Maybe the others begin to mimic them.
Perhaps it’s the others who tell them of their memories, of the bright white light that they once saw shine from the top of the pit, calling to them, drawing them to ascend, that vanished before they could reach the top. Never returning. Maybe it’s that story, the insinuation that there’s a way out at the top, that provokes the escape attempt. Maybe the others are hesitant, fearful of the climb (of falling and cracking and breaking, irreparable, dying a slow painful death) but they chose to join them regardless, to help, the idea of freedom from this place too tantalizing for them to resist.
It’s easier to dig through several feet of hard dense rock with multiple ‘people’.
(Far harder to make a hole big enough to compensate for all of their horns.)
The result is the same: the sounds of their digging was heard by those in the Basin, and the King was notified. And given the area of origin, the King himself investigates.
He does not expect to come upon the sight that he does: a sub-adult Vessel helping another sub-adult try to wriggle through a hole carved through the hard basin stone, completely circumventing the sealed door entirely.
It is...almost amusingly ingenious of them. Had they not been Vessels, he would’ve been quite proud.
(Then again, if they hadn’t been Vessels, they would have never been in the Abyss in the first place. They would still be his children, carapace a healthy gleaming white, eyes full of emotion and thought, bodies full of life--)
As it was, the sight is neither amusing nor one to be proud of.
Instead, it is concerning.
Vessels should not have been able to do this. They should have the cognitive ability to do this. There shouldn’t have even been any left alive after so long down there, their bodies should have destabilized long ago…
So the fact that it was not just ONE Vessel but TWO that had managed to do this, to survive, to literally claw and dig themselves out of the proverbial grave he’d sealed them in, like the undead zombies he’d cursed them to be…
It was beyond unsettling.
He needed answers. He needed to figure out how they’d done this. All of it. How they’d survived, how they’d figure out how to escape, how they’d figured out how to cooperate, and most importantly: what it meant for the Pure Vessel plan.
His presence to them did not go unnoticed, and neither did the way they both seemed to freeze at the sight of him.
Their gazed locked for an uncomfortably long time, until he forced himself to break the standoff.
He unsealed the door with a wave of his hand, startling the two Vessels. Startling them. They startled-
There were more.
There were more.
Beyond the door, crowded atop the metal platform in a way that looked both uncomfortable and precarious, were at least a dozen additional Vessels. And that wasn’t even all of them, because he could see, deeper into the shadows beyond the platform, at least two other heads sticking up, likely from a lower platform. There could be even more on platforms even further down he couldn’t see.
He felt pinned by the weight of so many empty black gazes. They all felt accusatory, even though he could see that they weren't.
The situation, his concerns, had become significantly more dire.
One of the Vessels – one of the first two he’d seen, the one completely free on his side – moved. Stood, and moved to stand before the now open door, body hunched, ragged cloak membrane flaring a bit. It lowered it’s head, brandishing it’s horns towards him.
Defensive, he realized.
A defensive posture. Protective.
It held an old void-ravaged metal spike in it’s hand, the tip clearly blunted from when it had been used as a digging tool. As though it was ready to use it as a weapon should it need to.
The one still stuck in the wall was slowly wriggling back into the Abyss side of the hole.
There was something in his gut that was screaming at him, telling him that something was wrong, this wasn’t right, this couldn’t be happening--
He needed to figure this out.
It took quite a bit of coaxing, but eventually he was able to get them all onto solid ground out of the door and then to follow him back to the Palace. And it was during this time that he was confronted with the obvious fact that these Vessels were impure; very impure.
Impure in ways he hadn’t expected them to be.
They were remarkably physically stable, but they behaved unlike how he expected. They were wary of him, uncertain of their new surroundings, and yet also curious. Inquisitive. Upon arriving to the Palace, several heads kept swiveling to look at everything and anything with refrained fascination, while yet others did not seem to care in the least. There was one who particularly seemed inclined to get close and to touch things, to nose at them. Another seemed wary and uncomfortable with the wide open spaces. And yet still another to stare at him the entire walk, gaze hot with an emotion that he couldn’t read.
They had thoughts. They had emotions. And judging by the escape attempt, they were at least decently intelligent.
Vessels were not supposed to be like this. None of them were supposed to be like this. The Void was supposed to purge such qualities long before they ever hatched. It was supposed to make it impossible for them to develop such qualities as well.
He’d rechecked his work so many times before putting the plan into action. Looked at every future he could, despite his bluing foresight. He and Monomon had gone over everything with a fine-tooth comb.
This wasn’t supposed to be possible.
They weren’t supposed to be…
The first thing he does is write for Monomon, stressing that her presence within the Palace was urgent.
If Vessels could retain some innate qualities of livelihood, or if they could develop the ability to have such things despite their void nature...it jeopardized the entire Pure Vessel plan.
It was no longer a guarantee that the Vessel was empty like he’d assumed it to be.
He and Monomon would have to assess every new Vessel, run a plethora of tests on them. Figure out how, exactly, they were functioning and what, if anything, was inside of their heads.
(In the meantime, as he waited for her to arrive, he sends them off to the baths, because each one was utterly filthy from the Abyss. Particularly one who looked like they’d taken a dip into the Void Sea itself, somehow.)
(This turned out to be a mistake with at least a third of them. They soon became much more interested in playing in the water than cleaning themselves.)
Upon the completion of the assessments and the tests, all of which the new Vessels did not seem to enjoy, the data collected was exactly as the King had feared it would be. It showed, in undeniable terms, that every single one of the new Vessels not only had minds, but also an individuality about them. They had unique personalities.
They were still alive.
They were still his children.
Every. Single. One. Of. Them.
It was an agonizing revelation.
If all of these living Vessels were like this, then what did that say about how the ones littering the floor of the Abyss used to be?
Had he stood there, watching, as his children, still in possession of their personhoods despite the void infused into their beings, fell and died? Had he stood there, watching, and done nothing as they died?
He’d thought they were all empty. He’d thought that the ones who were incapable of climbing were defective, unstable, failures. Imperfect. That it didn’t matter, because they were nothing more than hollowed out corpses. Nothing more than void-corrupted bodies shackling a shade, devoid of thought, devoid of emotion, devoid of the ability to feel pain…
That there wasn’t anything left of the children they were supposed to be. That those children had died the moment the void consumed them, long before their residual bodies hit the floor.
He’d been wrong.
The models had been wrong, the predictions had been wrong, all of the work he and Monomon spent years developing and perfecting and working for months to make sure it was absolutely, perfectly correct…
It was all wrong.
And an uncountable number of his children had died because of it.
And he’d watched.
Likely, the only Vessels still alive were the ones he’d recently found, and the Pure Vessel. Why would any other remaining Vessels not come with the new Vessels in their escape attempt? No, the ones within his Palace, within the room he’d hastily set up as a sort of holding play room, were all that were left.
Two handfuls, out of so many…
Less than two dozen...
At this point, if the Pure Vessel was indeed born pure, and somehow remained so until now, it would be the biggest case of sheer luck he’d ever had. It would be the most extreme statistical anomaly possible. Somehow, despite everything about their work being wrong, they would have gotten what they needed out of it.
They only needed to confirm that it was still pure.
And if it was, they needed to isolate it from the other new Vessels, to prevent any potential influence from ruining it.
But there was also the matter of what to do with the new Vessels as well…
They needed care, and then tutoring. They had much they needed to learn, to catch up on. They needed to be taught how to read and write, how to socialize, manners and etiquette, personal care and proper behavior. How to be careful with any void they spill to not harm others. How to be royal children.
Plus whatever individual skills they might take interest in.
He does not know how to tell his Root.
No matter how delicately he tries to word it, how gently he tries to say it, the truth will hurt her. His mistake, his failure, will cause her pain. He does not know if she would even want anything to do with them.
Alive they might be, they were still Vessels. They were still a tainted, corrupted, disfigured mockery of how their children were supposed to be. Looking upon them as they were made his heart ache, he could not fathom how much the sight of them hurt her. Seeing them as they are, as Vessels, behaving and acting like normal bugs, possessing personalities like normal children, might be too much for her to bear.
But even if she could not give them her love as their mother, he would give them his. They deserved it, they’d deserved it long before now.
It would not be easy, figuring out how to manage and educate so many Vessels, but he would do his best to do so. To keep them safe, to offer them a comfortable life long overdue, to give them as much love as he’s able.
(The human-turned-Vessel is not sure what to think about this. They don’t understand the situation they’ve found themselves in. The King was calling them, and the others like it, his children, and it made them feel a bit uncomfortable. The others had been wary at first, but then accepted the role and designation of the King’s children fully and eagerly. They were struggling with this. They felt like an imposer among them, they were not like them, they were not the King’s child, adopted or otherwise.)
(At the same time, the others like them were treating them like a sibling. Calling them a sibling. Loving them like a sibling. They considered them a sibling, and the human-turned-Vessel wasn’t sure if they really understood that they weren’t. They felt like a hijacker of this body. But despite that...they enjoyed the bond they share with the others. They love being considered a part of a group. They enjoyed the companionship, they enjoyed not being alone. They found themselves wanting that love and affection the others freely give, but in doing so, they feel guilty. Their feelings are a flurry of conflict ions and uncertainty.)
(It did not feel right to simply accept it all without question. It felt like they were being greedy. Taking something they had no right to.)
(There was also the issue of the other that they had seen once before, but that did not join the rest of the ‘siblings’. They had clearly been the same as the rest of them, an identical creature, but they’d not seen it since that first initial encounter. Where they had seen and heard the King order it, like it was a servant. This concerned them. They did not understand why all the rest of the King’s children, the ‘siblings’ were always bundled together, yet that one was not.)
(It had already been outside of the terrible place. Beyond the barrier that looked uncomfortable like a door. Why?)
(There was so much going on in this place they did not understand, so much that seemed to be going on above their heads. It was unnerving. They didn’t like it.)
(They wanted answers.)
(And if they had to conspire with their ‘siblings’ against their new adopted ‘father’ to get information and figure out what the hell was happening, what they were, what that dark pit closed off from the rest of the world was...well…)
(So be it.)
#hollow knight#hk oc insert#hk pale king#This accidentally became a PK centric wHOOPS#This was the second version of the original idea#It's a lot less angsty lmao#I just love the image of PK just rolling up to the entrance to the Abyss to find a Vessel trying to pull another through a hole in the wall#And then when he opens the door there's just a crowd of them staring at him like a gang of raccoons getting caught in the trash cans#Pure Vessel is having a constant panic attack watching their siblings be blatantly not hollow and putting their whole purity act at risk#PV: oh my god the King's gonna figure it out the King's gonna figure it out tHE KING'S GONNA FIGURE IT-#The 'glaring' Vessel is Ghost btw#They're a bit salty PK shut the door in their face

ough haven't been unhappy enough with a piece to scrap it entirely in a while that doesn't feel good lmao,,, anyway turns out i lied about the gojo-centric 2parter gomenasorry it's lookin like a solo :'3
#hina.txt#i need to finish this before i end up hating it too#bc the thing is#the concept of the piece has been done before. i know this and i knew it going into it#but then in my reference search i Found the art i had seen tht has the same concept executed slightly differently#and seeing it fuckin tanked my confidence that my version is. idk unique enough?? tht i was able to put enough of a spin on it???#its not even like i referenced that art i have my own composition colour palette pose etc#but i am just so frustrated idk#i was kinda banking on my piece being half of a duo to further solidify My idea as a little more original#but now bc i hate the second piece so much its gonna be on its own and i am like *surprised piba*#sighs

oh my god, okay hi that was me in a moment of 'getting over social anxiety' bravery attempt (This isn't my usual main though, this is the blog i tried to make to be more open about my OCs and then haven't used yet. lol.)
;w; oh gosh i never expected you to like. Draw something due to my little ramble???? i'm????? Keysmashing internally a whole lot!!
An ask blog with those two would be soo fun and i would love to see it and see more of them, i totally get how much of a commitment that is though XD Full support if you ever do decide to do that though, i personally think it's a great idea and has good potential? i've loved your little mini-comics in response to asks before, Wish is absolutely a cutie and i love their dynamic with him being a little silly :3
&
;w; Uhhhmm, for my OC's stuff, it's not very super duper set in place tbh, but the OC i mentioned here is Rain, who is the adoptive brother of my version of Moon! He's originally from another universe, but got planted into the gen 7 universe a few months before the storyline with no memory of where he came from. Then Moon dragged him along for the adventure!
His universe-hopping is specifically tied to a magic raindrop-shaped gem that he has, and is only triggered during an 'escaping death' experience, SOOO in this case your two would be encountering someone very panicky and disoriented!! (My reasoning for why he ended up specifically near Reconstruct(& Wish) is that he's uh, friends with Gladion, helping him out around Aether alot in my post-game universe. So what happened was along the lines of 'When almost-dying he had a moment of thinking about his friends, the universe hopping magic somehow got caught on that and planted him near one of his friends! Yay, that's good! ...Wait a second, this isn't right.')
i kinda go back and forth on a set 'canon' for Rain's main path, but he's definitely experienced the universe hopping a couple of times before, and knows what causes it at this point, but it previously didn't plant him somewhere where it was easy for him to get back home!
hiii so uh hopefully this isn't odd but i just wanted to let you know your reconstruct au popped up into my head while i was doing my bored-at-work daydreaming today :'3c i think it's really cool and my brain was like 'huh (my oc from gen 7) is a universe hopper basically, i wonder what would happen if something went totally wrong and he ended up meeting those guys...', idk i would think it's cool if this happened with some of my characters so i figured i'd let you know! anyway have a good day!
Imagine being in the endless space between dimensions and then you happen to see another person! What do?? D:
Ok joking aside, can I just say I made such a happy giddy sound when I read that my AU was something you were thinking about in your "bored at work daydreaming" x3 What an honor! That is really neat to think about tho! I have to wonder how they would react too. I could imagine Wish would be surprised, but also very curious. Reconstruct I would imagine as being more apprehensive. As far as he is concerned, everything is a danger and should be treated as such until proven otherwise. Fun fact! When I first created Reconstruct, I had a tempting thought to make an ask/role play blog with him. I figured since his job has him universe hopping it might be fun to see how others would interact with him and vice versa (given that my main ask blog is very.. uh.. set in place xD). I thought it might give me a chance to expand on my ideas but I ended up convicting myself that it wasnt a good idea. Then I made Wish and started to get really invested in this duo, and with the few questions I got here, I cant deny that itch keeps coming back and I am trying really hard not to give in xD Its really cool to know that someone else has a character that can also travel to different universes! I would love to know about them if you ever want to share 👀 This really made me happy and thank you so much for sharing!
#i was going to write this as a reply but it got long lol#i could ramble more about mine but this is what's like. relevant info for where my train of thought was XD#cool first step to getting over anxiety about talking about my special little guys!!#thank you for the opportunity to do that. :'3c and for saying you'd love to hear about it!

A little creative summary for the year ✨ (Template)
Even though I'd done art inspired by/for others before, it was my first time doing proper trades and projects together -- thank you for including me :D
As for writing, I was worried about my thesis next year since I'll be rewriting most of my novel which is a lot to do in a single year..... until I realized I posted 83,794 words for fun in 2024.... 😅 (11,259 words of longfic projects, 54,642 words in drabbles, 17,893 words in creative but explanatory posts, and who knows how many in wips/unposted things :0)
Though writing on here may slow down bit with my thesis, there's no way you can stop me from working on fic completely 😂 I also have some translyric projects I want to complete within the year, as well as the usual art ideas I'm plagued with haha!
#im actually super surprised#the second half of this year seemed to FLY by and i was under the impression i did a lot less creatively than usual#and then i started checking and im pretty sure its way more writing than my average year???#apparently total words would be about 200 pages which is where my novel draft is at now#so even a 100% rewrite is doable holy shit#i tried not to include slutty fuuta but he Still made it in 💀(because my only other oct piece was the hello charlotte edits which#felt more like etherane's art than mine)#some spillover into 2025 is i have one more es drabble coming soon and some art that was requested#some good ole fucked up milgram art and a big fuuta project that spiaraled way out of control from the original request sdfsdf#my goal is to finish my choice story before the end of t3 which gives me plany off time but that may not mean this year depending#some of the translyrics are touched up versions of the ones ive posted but i have so many ideas for new ones and im not letting it slip by#like they did this entire year 😅#thanks for sticking around and enjoying all my silly little things! heres to another year of them lmao#rose rambles

Day 18: Swap
Although I thought about doing an universe swap with Alyssa/Charlotte and Maggie/Irina (basically a demon/human AU), I simply decided to do a hair swap for Mag and Iri because I've been kinda busy just taking care of myself :] I really really liked how this one turned out!!
#my friend asked if these were older versions of mag and iri and it got me thinking tbh#first irina would probably get into goth as she gets more confident/older and also dye her hair in some form (with the help of mag)#mag on the other hand would stop dyeing her hair and let it breath for a hot second#she'd probably cut it to the length shown here tho#bweirdoctober 2024#bweirdoctober#oc#original character#oc ideas#oc prompts#art challenge#artists on tumblr#digital art#artwork#illustration#my art#how you picture yourself

Did somebody ask for adventure forward head canons that may or may not interfere with the actual canon because I haven't played the games in a while?
No? Screw you, you're getting them anyway.
Warning ⚠️ I am cringe, but I am free so I feel like that makes up for it.
VERY LONG LIKE INCREDIBLY LONG YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED DO NOT CLICK THAT SEE MORE BUTTON UNLESS YOU WANT TO READ ADVENTURE FORWARD HEAD CANNONS YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED.
Also I say head cannons but like halfway through I derail into my AU of what crown of shadows and vein reveal would be like so I still think it's really interesting but I'm very biased.
("I hate celesteal!" I say, before making a bunch of head cannons around him.) I really like celesteal as a character I hate him as a person but I really love him as a character
Do not expect this to be arranged well it will not be. This is not chronological this is not even like grouping a character altogether this is really messy, I'm just getting all my ideas out.
The two different canceled sequels are both different timelines (that I may or may not make crossover in my head) and I have different ideas for how each of them would go so I will refer to them as crown of shadows (COS) and Vain revival (VR) to specify when it is only for one of the versions.
Anshine and Stratosfear are happily married.
I don't know if this is cannon or not but Sheldon definitely made Miobot. And also accidentally made him sentient, oops, sure hope that doesn't come back causing both of you to get forcefully ascended to a higher existence.
Celesteal admire humans a lot mostly because he can't figure out where they keep coming from (he does not know how reproduction works) and he can't figure out how to make one.
VR! The shard saver is his closest attempt to a human looking mostly correct but having the little quirk of her having pink blood and also thinking it is normal for a person to not remember the first 15 years of their life (She does not know she is not human at first) The shard savior is also the only one of his creations that he considers to be his child.
It took Celesteal a couple hundred years to figure out how to make a sentient being at that point he was kind of already cuckoo bananas.
Yawgate was one of his earlier creations and often accompanied him to where he needed to go because Yawgate does the portaling.
The pure points did not learn how to speak English properly they were just imbued with that knowledge shortly after they were made. Unfortunately they are all British because of this. (Celesteal thinks that accent is the most quote on quote "cool" and therefore he speaks in it)
Celesteal refers to everyone using they/them most of the time because he does not know how genders work at all.
The first Star Savior is a 39-year-old closeted gay man named Stefan. (I accidentally stole that name from a fanfiction like 2 years ago, oops)
Mason is a 40-year-old and is also a closeted gay man. The main reason he became the mayor is because his father was the mayor and his father is now dead. The hat wears is his father's. He is also really tired of the may or may not jokes, yes he has heard it before it lost its funny factor since he was a child and heard it from people saying that to his father. Stefan doesn't think it's lost it's funny factor and still makes those jokes.
Mason and Stefan are childhood best friends and may or may not (Haha get it) have feelings for each other. Unfortunately, that issue won't be resolved for another 300 years. (Talk about a slow burn)
The second Star savior is a 28-year-old man named Nicholas (I also stole that name from the same fanfiction I read 2 years ago accidentally, oops) who has served in the military. His only remaining family members are his aunt, who he has a rough relationship with and his cousin who he has a fine relationship with, but he hasn't talked to since before he joined the military.
Anshine is really bad at naming things like "if he had a Dalmatian he would name it spot" type of bad at naming things.
Stratosfear for a brief period of time forgot his own strength because he didn't really have to do stuff like opening jars when he had to play the role of the star steeler and he's kind of been trapped for 300 years so not a lot of time to get used to how strong you are with objects and stuff.
Stratosfear is immune to poison and venom because he himself can make poisonous stuff if he really wanted to. He can also make red metal into any shape he wants, he just thinks scorpions are cool and so has a bunch of metal shapes in the shape of the scorpion tail, that is one of the very few things he got to choose for himself in that time loop.
Evon has somehow managed to in all her years of being a cashier, which is two, meet every single pre-point and not realize it. Evon goes by Eve. Whett is Eve's boss. Whett and Randall are friends.
Eve lives with her roommate Rose who has very obvious feelings for her and Eve is oblivious. (Would really be a shame if something were to happen to Eve which caused Rose to never be able to properly tell her her feelings, ha. On a completely unrelated note Rose is actually one of Nick's ancestors so maybe that's a good thing because he literally wouldn't exist if they were together oops. This just in, woman (me) who can't handle tragedy made another tragedy.)
Umbra may or may not be in a cult?? It's really unclear to an outsider if it's a cult or just a really dedicated group of people to studying the Moon. She does have powers from this because I think that's cool.
If Cynosura had a nickel for every time he has been brutally transformed he would have two nickels which isn't a lot but it's weird that it's happened twice.
He got cursed by a weird gem thing that was in his backyard when he was like twelve. Given the fact that he's already cursed he can't be cursed again so he goes out looking for those items to stop anyone else from being cursed. (Yes, he has ice powers I thought it would be cool for his pre point to also have them, shut up.)
Cynosura and Umbra used to be friends before Cynosura's cursing and then became penpals because they couldn't see each other in person they recently have started talking in person again. I feel it is important to mention that Umbra literally couldn't care less that he was cursed, she's more mad he didn't talk to her in person for that whole time. (They're like in their thirties I don't know the exact ages)
(Wow sure hope Umbra doesn't see something she's not supposed to see and go to run off to tell him and drag him down with her to be higher being of existence forcefully accidentally because she couldn't keep it to herself) (also Celesteal gets Cynosura pointified Midway through talking about how they probably shouldn't know this and how one of them might get hurt because he quote unquote "thought it would be really funny" Umbra tried to punch him in the face, to little success.)
Despair is an orphan and is also distinctly not human. (He's not exactly sure how to say what he is in English so he just goes with what everybody else calls him, a demon.) he also chose that name when he was an edgy teenager, his friends call him Dee because it's kind of hard to take the name Despair seriously. Despair still finds the name cool even though he is going to be twenty soon.
Cynosura offered him a place to stay shortly after he lost his parents at like 10ish. He takes up this offer randomly and then randomly leaves. They consider each other to kind of be like Uncle and nephew.
Eve, Despair, and Laoin are all friends.
Laoin is part dragon because I think that's cool.
Funny random thing I thought of, Laoin is friends with Trussy (I don't like that name that much I kind of want to change it but I don't know to what) who is friends with Sheldon And Laoin is also friends with Despair who is friends with Cynosura so when Cynosura needed house repairs once Despair mentioned that to Laoin who mentioned it to Trussy who then paired up with Sheldon to help fix Cynosura house while not knowing him directly at all.
Ixol gets pointified last and only gets pointified because his entire friend group mysteriously disappeared and he managed to -in his grief- figure out almost everything he had a board with red string across it and everything he was like one pin away from figuring out the identity of Stratosfear, I am serious. He figured out that the points probably where his friends because it's a little suspicious that each time one of his friends disappears there's a new guy with their exact personality who doesn't remember their past, this happened to him like four times. Cyalm when he realized what Despair had figured out was shocked and really impressed because he proceeded to do that and then never do anything like that ever again.
Yawgate is not supposed to let the pure points into other pure points dimensions but he does it anyway behind Celesteal's back because he feels really bad that they wouldn't be able to see each other any other way. (Celestial doesn't really care that much, he knows Yawgates doing it he just feels like it's not worth his time to stop it. Yawgate doesn't know that Celesteal knows about that) Only reason he didn't visit Stratosfear for that whole time is because Celestial specifically blocked off that pocket dimension.
Morword is surprisingly optimistic for seeing an infinite number of alternative timelines that the future could go into many of which includes people she cares about dying. But she chooses to specifically not think about that.
Pasless is one of the only people who knows about the infinite amount of timelines cause unlike the rest of them there is only one him and he is just split apart infinitely, he does a surprisingly good job at keeping the different parts of him separate and not letting anyone else know that he is constantly doing that. He talks to Morword about it occasionally though. Morword doesn't let him know how much it bothers her that those infinite number of timelines that she sees do actually happen in a different timeline.
That whole speech Morword and Pasless gave about how "you control the future but can someone else control the past and if so would we know" was incredibly pre-planned, they practice that for like a month straight once Morword saw that someone was going to see them.
(Yes, I am a sucker for them considering themselves siblings, how did you know?)
Stratosfear has PTSD.
The Red x did not have a name he consistently went by until someone else decided to name him (I want the first star savior to name him but I am not sure if that directly goes against the canon) and then once he realized he could change his name he went ballistic with changing his name. Like, come on he did it thrice.
Blueband is one of the few humans the Red x personally likes blueband is very loyal to the Red x and as a reward for his good behavior he gets to be pointified and keep his memories (he's the red guy who tried and failed to guard the elemental points) he's a little upset that he can't wear his hat anymore due to the horns. When blue bands pointified form I forgot his name and I don't care enough to look it up see stratosfear he exclusively refers to him as the star stealer, this annoys Stratosfear greatly.
VR! The shard savior is a 20 year old (or at least she thinks she is) named Charlotte (hooray I didn't steal that name form that fanfiction I read 2 years ago) who, as previously established, thinks it is completely normal to not remember the first 15 years of your life and is Celesteal's favorite creation. (She does not know this)
VR! Verfection (Yes, he is a pointified version of the second Star saver, he has lost all of his memories.) is best friends with the Voxier. (Their friendship is the poster child for extrovert adopts introvert) Verfection is one of the very few people that Voxier actually cares about and makes them actually want to exist and not return to the nothingness he (supposedly) came from.
VR! Verfection and Charlie freaking hate each other.
COS! Arrolin and Ixol freaking die. And on a completely unrelated note Compale loses one of his legs. (They're not supposed to be able to lose those but voixer managed to anyway) You see the joke is that it's not unrelated Ixol dies so Compale won't, haha. (This just in woman (me) who, once again, can't handle tragedies has made another tragedy.)
Still COS! Ixol also had the ability to see ghosts and was able to see Arrolin's ghost she was happy about this, Ixol was not. Ixol could always see ghosts, he just thinks he's really lost at this time, he already knew he was probably insane this was just the tipping point for him to actually realize it. Once Ixol is dead he also becomes a ghost and realizes he probably should have told the others before he kicked the bucket.
Also COS! geez I have a lot of head cannons for COS! Said crown of shadows is a corrupting force that corrupts the user and when in a room with only one person will attempt to attach itself to said person's head. Voixer would have without the crown of shadows never tried to actually kill the points just try to figure out a method to go back to the void it's only the crown of shadows that gave him the idea of killing the characters in the story to also kill himself to end the story. Not that the rest of the points will ever know this except for Nicholas.
You know what I'm just going to tell you when it's not COS! Anymore okay?: Oopsie Daisy, Nick, you killed the guy who the crown was on and you were the only person in the room, guess what the crown is going to try to do. That's right! Force itself on your head. So Nick any actively crumbling building thing starts getting pointified, uh-oh. Luckily for him he's in an actively crumbling building (a sentence that has probably been said exactly once) and the rubble knocks the crown of his head, (Yay!) it also cuts off his arm (Not yay!) because he is not fully point yet and he does not get the neat ability to regrow his limbs until after one of his limb is already gone.
He wakes up surprisingly okay for just being under a crumbling building, he's also a point now and actively missing an arm and there's also this evil crown trying to get on his head so in his panic he tries it to stuff it in his bag, this somehow works in stopping it.
A little meme based off of that:
He's going to go by verfection now because he feels a little weird in breaking tradition of choosing a new name when you become a point. He also got the ability to see ghosts, get haunted by your dead friends, idiot. Surprisingly this is good for Verfection's mental health because that means he can't completely isolate himself. Voixer doesn't directly haunt him because he feels a little still messed up in the head and also feels guilt, a lot of guilt, and shame, quite a bit of shame.
Verfection just went back to living at his house because he didn't tell anyone where he lived. Verfection is not doing well because even though he got the crown off soon enough that he didn't go completely mad he still isn't doing great mentally and feels a lot of guilt because he got the memories of Voixer and now feels like he killed someone who didn't deserve it. He's mostly just trying to keep the crown safe to stop anyone else from getting it put on their heads. Surprisingly putting it in a bag still is working. Just for safe measures he locked it in a specific room that no one is meant to go into as well as putting it in a safe in said room. He still has not told his friends he's alive because he feels a lot of guilt and a lot of emotions right now.
Also Signol just loses her memory again, don't worry she'll get it all back when they managed to figure out how symbol breaking works in the crown of shadows timeline which I haven't figured out how they're going to figure that out but I know they will figure it out.
FINALLY WE'RE DONE WITH CROWN OF SHADOWS FOR NOW
VR! Verfection was actually a scrapped idea that Celesteal had he scrapped it because he thought it was too similar to the first star savior's fate. However those scrapped ideas came out whenever the world started literally breaking.
None of them know how points work (except celesteal for obvious reasons) exactly they mostly got it figured out but sometimes they'll just figure out something completely new about how they work for instance,
Okay after this point I'm just going to specify when the vein reveal section is done: There would be a boss fight between Stratosfear and Anshine in which they would fuse and then not figure out how to defuse until after they were uncorrupted. After Celesteal was brought back he revealed but that's just a thing they can do and I've always been able to do he just never mentioned it before.
Despite the fact that Yawgate is on the side of "we need to bring celesteal back or else the world will literally end", it is important to know he is one of celesteal's top five biggest haters. Probably being biggest hater number two or three. He was often threatened with being erased from existence by him and over time him threatening to do that to people that you love and actually doing it at least once causes you to dislike a person over time.
In the final fight of "we shouldn't bring back an evil dictator who literally locked up a guy for 300 years cause he thought it'd be funny I guess" vs "okay but we literally need to bring him back or else the world will literally end we hate him too" Verfection accidentally cuts Charlie's arm off which simultaneously makes Verfection's symbol break due to the intensity of it all and causes Charlie to realize that she is indeed not human because her arm is bleeding pink and is shattering into shards that are actively rebuilding themselves in front of her. All of the same time celesteal is actively getting remade from the shards collected.
Celesteal did not intend to come back after being killed he did not think that the world would just shatter into pieces, he thought it would be more like a crown of shadows if anything. When he does come back he's like "Oh. Oh. I messed up didn't I? I made a miscalculation somewhere... :D Hiiiii Charlie! <3 My favorite creation! How are you doing? Oh, you've grown so much! What are they feeding you around here?" And everyone's just kind of standing there like "what".
ALRIGHT I THINK THAT'S THE END OF IT
I definitely forgot some of my head cannons (I have a lot) but this post is getting so like incredibly long I think I'm good with ending it here.
Ending notes:
"Why do half of the pre points know each other? It's not very realis-"
Shhhhhhhhhhhhhhh 🤫🤫🤫🤫🤫 I don't care. And they all live in pretty close vicinity just because that's easier for me. And by pretty close I mean no one is more than like a city away.
"Where are the elemental points? You barely mentioned them."
Shut up they're still there I just forgot their names and I don't have a lot of ideas for them all I know is blue bands pointified form I forgot his name was supposed to be guarding them, he failed at guarding them. They all want the crown of shadows because it is immensely powerful even though it's a corrupting Force I don't know what happens next I haven't thought about them nearly as much as the others.
I also have several au's including the previously established vein reveal and crown of shadows au's I explained above and several others including "pathetic loser villain OC makes Nicholas have a bad time" (ASK ME ABOUT HIM PLEASE) and "what if Verfection was a pure point" and other various ideas.
#Guys I'm being dragged back into this fandom because of pointtober help me#Man it's so embarrassing when I have to bring up my OCS for the star savers because#Like 2 years ago I read a fanfiction very early into the fandom and those names from that fanfiction stuck with me#I changed their personalities I think but the names are the same from that dang fanfiction#The shard savior name is different though I just made a new girl up#Putting all of your ideas out is really fun I think I'm going to update my iteration of the TMNT list because my ideas have changed#Significantly for my version of the turtles#I am making an adventure forward video and it will come out soon I have a couple more drawings to make#a rare original post#Long post#Adventure forward#Adventure forward 2#Af2#Adventure forward headcanons#Do I want to tag all of the characters individually? Probably not. But I think I'll do some of them that I have the most head cannons for#Celesteal#Cyalm#cyalm af2#stratosfear#star savior#second star savior#Shard savior#Af:cos#Adventure forward: crown of shadows#Adventure forward vein reveal#Afvr#headcanon#Verfection#Voixer

sorry i know i cant stop people from having their headcanons or aus or whatever but i find it kinda silly when people present the idea of silver being shadows son as if its an actual plausible theory.... because all the "evidence" for it is very minor stuff thats easily explained away . and then theres also the fact that in the 06 timeline shadow was put back into stasis shortly after iblis destroyed the world because humanity was looking for someone to blame for it. and silver also says that iblis has been around since before he was born. im aware that the future is always changing so a future where an adult shadow is around to interact with a tiny little baby silver isnt entirely out of the question but wouldnt this plot detail make shadow being silvers biological father very unlikely if not outright impossible??
#also the evidence is always stuff like ''they both have chest fur and arms that match the rest of their body''#okay. well sonic and amy both have green eyes and arms that match their muzzle color. and im pretty sure thyere not related#''theyre lancelot and galahad in sonic and the black knight'' its funny how people use this as evdience that shadow and silver are related#but nobody every acknowledges that nimue the character amy plays (who is actually relevant and appears in the story mode unlike galahad)#is lancelots mom in the original stories or tries to use that as evidence that amy and shadow are related ...#and yes i know that that would make zero sense from a timeline perspective bc amy is younger than shadow#among other reasons and this relationship isnt implied at all either in satbk or outside of satbk#im not trying to argue that theyre related. just pointing out that satbk isnt exactly an authority on main timeline family relationships#satbk is literlaly just the characters playing dressup not every aspect of the lives of the characters from the original stories#are meant to apply to the sonic characters that were used to portray them in satbk#also to be clear im specifically talking about the idea of shadow being silvers dad in the future#not the present version of shadow who is still a teenager barely older than silver being a father figure to him.#i actively hate that second option its so weird and would be a different conversation entirely

Who wants to talk me down from making an oc inspired by the ringside reporter from rhythm heaven cause I sure am one hair away from staying up too late doing just that
#rat rambles#^ guy who has been desperately trying to find uploads of every minigame in japanese but has been struggling like hell#japanese ringside reporter is the only character that matters#also the english marchers dub sucks SO bad I love that game but maybe it wasnt worth bringing back /j#english see saw can stay tho I like them more than the original#also for the record the english reporter is techically just fine I just love the og sm that its all I can listen to lol#tbh I kinda wanna make a bunch of rhythm heaven inspired designs but I dont have enough clear ideas to commit#except for the reporter. Im gonna turn that guy into a fucked up cat#but the tall tappers are another one I wanna make a design based on along with that farmer dude from the second game#oh and the kick guy#and the original japanese isy favorite version for that minigame too btw by a landslide#I tend to preffer the original japanese for most minigames but its generally not by a whole lot unless its marchers or smth#ok rhythm heaven posting done back to sobbing over how close yet so far away I am from remix 10 in fever#I would also play ds but I have no money and am not gonna try playing it emulated(<- already tried (<-suffered))

been reading fanfiction at the front counter at work as of late because our fiction selection that's available to read online is sparse, there's only so much academic non-fiction a man can read especially when he's just blindly in the catalogue looking up random keywords in the hope of finding something even mildly interesting, and i haven't been able to get out to my local library to fix my library card that doesn't let me log in and possibly has no associated email to access their ebook collections. and i can't do anything at the front desk that doesn't look work-related so i've been downloading pdfs of fics and emailing them to myself to pass the yawning void of hours between the 3 whole patrons who are there during the semester break.
anyway im telling you all this because i sent a few to myself and all but one (1) fic i was like oh my GOD he Would Not Fucking Say That. but i had nothing else to do not even work related tasks so i read them anyway. woe is me. i will learn nothing from this and do the exact same thing tomorrow probably
#good idea generator#they werent even bad in fact one in particular was infuriatingly well written#i just didnt like the characterization choices. and they committed one of my pet peeves#which is so unreasonable but it's using a shortened form a characters name (usually in dialogue)#and spelling it differently than the character's actual name. like adding or changing letters#this is such a non-issue but it INFURIATES me especially when the character doesn't even get referred to by a shorter name in canon#i know this sounds like nonsense im trying to think of an example#ok like. some c/r fic authors will shorten 'jester' to 'jess' and i HATE that#it should OBVIOUSLY be 'jes'. where did the second 's' come from. who the fuck is 'jess#when i read pjo fic i used to like straight up leave fics if they spelled a shortened version of 'percy' i didnt like#and once i read a fic where someone referred to nico as 'nick' and it made me so fucking furious#fucked up that you made someone call him that at all but the LEAST you could do is spell it 'nic'#and before you say anything i do NOT care if the other letters are necessary for the name to follow pronunciation rules#names do not have to do that and this is a written medium. i already know how to pronounce it#its the normal way you'd say the first or last part only of the character's name which i already know#this also annoys me in original fiction but fanfic is also usually adding the nickname which makes it feel more unnatural#like its weird if characters refer to each other formally in the source material and inexplicably much more casually or closer in fic#but the spelling is the main thing. i have Problems

#losing my fucking MIND if you'll allow me to ramble#(this is about to turn into one massive OC thing btw)#way back when i first found out about the mind electric i set it as aedyn's sort of character theme#not ONLY does this version fit him just as well if not more (imagine him as The Heart in the first and third portions of the video)#but now I ALSO have a way to throw Mal into the mix (The Mind in the second and third segments)#i actually started an animatic for the original mind electric years ago and this might be my motivation to revamp it in the context of#-the phantasm reboot!#it'll probably take forever to finish since it would end up 12 minutes long#but holy shit i've got ideas!!! so many!!!#only problem is idk if i should hold off on the thing until i've actually started work on the potential webseries.... ehh#anyway#music#the mind electric#chonny jash#chonnys charming chaos compendium#flashing#eyestrain#loud noise warning#necrotic chittering

This is such a cool idea!!! Here's my little guys :]
i think it would be such a fun little bit for hermitblr bit for folks to pass around their minecraft skins without any other design context and let people make up designs (as hermitblr artists do) to see how other people interpret it
#they both have. several alternative outfits and Slightly Altered Versions but these are like. The character basis. The simplest versions#Also. Looking at this is making me realize how hard to read some of the details on Beeper (second) are... I really should work on that#skin a bit more.... Still! I'm very curious about how people interpret them. especially since I've done art of both of them already and hav#Pretty specific images of both of them. Wonder if that'll change when getting to see someone elses interpretation :]#I also have like. 3 other characters id like to add but I don't want to like. be too much? idk. anxious. enjoy these guys :]#also like. I dont really post mcyt on my main but this is just. such a fun idea. didnt want to miss out on it! might even do some art mysel#if the powers that be will finally allow me to do so again#rat rambles#I think. not one of my original posts but i am. making a contribution. so it probably counts

bastard!! has to be one of the worst things I've ever seen like the writing is so so bad
#way too much weird scenes#this is like a discount dollar store version of berserk and Inuyasha if you ask me#the mc is way too much of a weirdo like come on now...#the worldbuilding is a terrible mess like they definitely just slammed random ideas together#like nothing of substance to gain from this show#nerdthoughts#they LITERALLY had a second chance to rewrite everything in the reboot but its just as poorly written as the original ovas#honestly it pisses me off so bad for that especially... like yall had one job...
