Working a remote job alongside US Americans is... eye opening.
Canadians, if you think you understand how bad the US healthcare system is, you don't.
You never do.
It always surprises you by being somehow worse than you think it is.
#obviously if you've lived there you know#but like I keep thinking I understand#and then I find out for a family of three it's a $1500 a month bill for medical sans vision/dental#and a $10k deductible#$600 for epi pens#The US scares me.#This is why I never cared that US employees got slightly higher hourly rates than Canadians#They need that extra 2.50 an hour to afford to LIVE my GOD
