the season 9 descriptions of destiel are so very…interesting. 9x10 characterises them so well without taking too much time away from the main storyline - sam being possessed by angel whole crowley attempts to access him. dean is suffering so much and cas just glances at him every few minutes with torture written on his face. he instantly goes after dean when he can’t take to look at sam being screaming out in pain. he tries to calm him, although it’s so very clear that he doesn’t exactly have a sense of how (such as dean asking cas to distract him, asking how cas is feeling and cas answering “i’m okay” instead of actually distracting dean). but at the end of it, dean does seem to take a few steps back from the suffering. because obviously he’s not just gonna forget what’s happening as they continue hearings sam’s screams but in some ways it still works. i think it’s also interesting how they then kind of have this little not quite parallel? as cas gets furious when he finds out that the angel is gadreel. his emotions lit up so quickly as he speaks, rage seeping through, changing at sam/gadreel. and dean is instantly on his heel. hand on his shoulder, telling cas to calm down. and although cas slaps his hand away, he doesn’t fight. he backs off. i just find it so curious how they portray these smaller-scale moments, giving a little insight on exactly hoe much cas and dean care and trust each other, how much they often lean on the other.

Long answer: Grant is a man with high intelligence but little will to solve his problems properly. You send him off a plane with a parachute but no instructions, he’s definitely smart enough to figure out how to open it. But the real question is, would he? I mean, if he didn’t.. A world with no Joey Drew. No work. My god. Doesn’t that sound like Heaven? Literally?

“But...you love me.”

It’s wobbly, comes out on a teary breath. Like the five year old boy who insisted Betty was his best friend. Like the boy who had so little holding on desperately to what he had. 

And she does, she does love him. In a way that’s so big she struggles to define it. It a way where his arms are her only safe place. In a big way, a breath-stealing, forever kind of way. The kind of way that seems like something two traumatized teens shouldn’t understand but she knows as surely as she knows her own name. 

But knowing that, she still kissed Archie. And she still lied to him.

So she crawls up to her sweet, loving boyfriend, and pours all the love she feels into the kiss. 

They separate with long breaths. She’s fairly certain the tears are from both of them. 

“I do,” she breathes. “God, I do. I love you so much.”

“Betty...” It’s all he can say. She looks around this room, their room, the sanctuary they had made, and kisses him again. 

It feels like home, like it always does, and she wants more. She wants him closer, wants to feel them so close that they meld into one. 

So she pulls her shirt off, never breaking gaze, and his eyes are teary.

She unhooks her bra and feels his tears on her cheeks. 

She pushes him down onto their bed and whispers her love into every inch of his skin.
