One of the possible reasons to why I made MCU Khonshu's personality more dominant enough to "assimilate" and slowly influence 616 Khonshu's personality is that MCU Khonshu is an officially banished Deity from the Overvoid. As in, he can't enter the Overvoid and is stuck on Earth.
Now hear me out, this may sound like a bad thing, but this end up resulting in another thing for MCU Khonshu. Resilience, Adaptability and I have this headcannon that MCU Khonshu sort of, "evolved" himself to survive outside the Overvoid.
He has no followers (his Avatar don't count), no kingdom, no traditional worshipers, no active cult, or a temple, practically everything 616 Khonshu still have.
Technically speaking, MCU Khonshu is a homeless hermit, forever wandering the Earth but never able to reach home. What even is "home" to him anymore when he has been kicked out of them, both his mortal home in Egypt (the temples), and his immortal home (The Ennead/The Overvoid).
But he still survived, even on the smallest scraps, no matter how poisonous it is. Sure he may have gone a bit crazy from it, (understatement since he is basically a very unhinged batman). But he still manages to maintain his self-determination. In other words, his Form. Surviving out of sheer force of will, and even if he does need his Avatar, he can still act and think independently enough if he needs to.
616 Khonshu though, still have a following, an active cult, priest. A stereotypical god in the "glory days". I wouldn't exactly call it as a proper cult, in previous issues there used to be 3 high priest, which was probably written out. The god still have a traditional cult in other issues that still worship him. So theoretically, it should make him stronger. But another thing I noticed is now "formless" and abstract he have to be, and how spread out he have become to maintain that following.
He was put away yet still able to act like he never was away at all, as in, he can still communicate outside. In a way, existing in 2 places at once. But this results on him literally spreading out like slime.
MCU Khonshu in the other hand, was imprisoned and was never able to communicate outside of his ushabti prison. Once he is in, he is stuck. Ammit was never able to communicate outside of her prison, she never picked nor called Arthur Harrow. Arthur just decided in his own free will to make a cult for Ammit even when the man never even talked to the Goddess in the first place. Probably made stuff up just to charm people to join the cult.
So 616 Khonshu is more Space than Form, while MCU Khonshu is more Form than Space.
Both of which are a choice to survive.
By being more Space, 616 Khonshu can exist in different places at once, like being able to still communicate and affect Earth even when he is imprisoned in another planet. Like he was still able to talk to Marc in prison, in the MCU universe, that can never happen.
But for MCU Khonshu, he was banished so he had to force himself to maintain his form and whatever is left of his old self. Practically evolving to be sort-of independent from both the other gods, the Overvoid and the mortal followers. Becoming a hermit, an eternal wanderer without a home to return to.
Maybe I'm rambling again but try to compare Ice and Vapor.
Both are water, just different states of it. Ice is water when solid, when vapor is water but completely evaporated.
Ice have a more direct and physical effect, since it is concentrated and solid enough that it can be physically touched and wielded. You can stab someone with an icicle, using it like a knife. Then drop it and move on because there are better alternatives. Though you could say that it also made MCU Khonshu cold and hard, but if he wasn't he would melt and evaporate to nothing.
Vapor though is more, abstract in a way since you can't see it, but it is so spread out and thin that you can barely notice it. Until someone pointed it out or you have to really, really pay attention to the signs to things you can't see.
Harmless at face value, until you remember that it can still have an effect if it is in very, very large quantities, because you are breathing it in. It enters you and then becomes a part of you. Or you become part of it.
So what I'm saying, is that MCU Khonshu made himself more to Ice, so he can maintain some physical form and self-determination, at the expense of his following/cult.
While 616 Khonshu, made himself to Vapor to maintain the spread of his following/cult, at the cost of his physical form and self-determination.
So this is where MCU Khonshu resilient come to play. It is the result of MCU Khonshu trying to survive without his fellow gods, his worshipers while not being crushed by the elements of the changing world. This made him "hard as ice". But he made his own character by himself, without depending on anyone. He can survive without any attachments and not conform to the demands of both the immortal and mortal world.
Compared to 616 Khonshu, if you take away the cult, the followers. 616 Khonshu will eventually fade like air since he pretty much made himself dependent on all of them.
So when both characters go face to face, it is character to character alone. None of the cult, the mortal followers, nor the earthly attachments. Just them at their rawest form.
BUT 616 Khonshu doesn't have a solid Form in the first place, not as solid as MCU Khonshu. Like how a Termite Queen is vulnerable if alone since she depends on her soldiers for security.
So when it does come when for some weird shenanigans, 616 Khonshu tries to "assimilate" his counterpart to eliminate the competition and change MCU Khonshu to conform. Only to end up with a stubborn cockroach who refuses to die, and found himself adjusting to match MCU Khonshu's personality, not the other way around.
Vapor starts to finally have a Form. It's a very slow process but Vapor can turn to Liquid, then to as solid Form.
So very, very slowly. 616 Khonshu's own personality starts to conform and be more like MCU Khonshu.
#khonshu#weird ass ramblings that still doesn't make sense#Seriously comic lore is a fucking mess but them I'm writing a fanfiction so I just made stuff up for fun#Pure fiction by the way#marvel comics#marvel 616#616 vs MCU#Khonsu#Moon Knight#Some thoughts to myself#mcu khonshu#marvel mcu#This is stuff I made up to help me in my crossover fanfiction#And justify stuff even though I'm just taking things out of my @ss

Alright my friends it's pinned post time
First things first, WATCH THIS ANIMATIC if you haven't already, and if you have seen it watch it again it's so fucking good I thrive just remembering it exists
Anyway welcome to this blog where we promote ace staticradio, love Christian Borle, somehow make everything a legally blonde reference, and hoard AUs like candy. This is basically a place to organize said AUs for anyone new or who wants to remember details (aka me) with clickable links to their info
General Fanon/Backstory - myself - Does not have it's own tag yet but it's a mostly canon-compliant story I'm developing about Vox and Alastor's past/relationship before the 7 year disappearance - Original post
Dadstaticradio AU - credited to anons - Alastor's contract with Lilith has him babysitting/raising Charlie from a young age and when Vox gets involved she decides to set them up - Original Post, general tag
Swap AU - credited to anons - Alastor and Vox take the place of Charlie and Vaggie to run the hotel out of spite against Heaven. This was changed from the original but Vox is a fallen Overlord - Original post, general tag
Secretly Married AU - credited to anons - They were secretly married, got into a fight, and Alastor disappeared for 7 years they but never got divorced - Original post, general tag
Radio Guard AU - belongs to ⚔️ anon / @alastorsrchivesforthehotel - Alastor made a deal with Lucifer for power in return for needing to protect Charlie with his life. His relationship with Vox is very strained - Original post, general tag
Domestic AU - credited to anons - A combination between dadstaticradio and secretly married. In addition to Charlie, they have another kid named Vinyl - Original post, general tag, Vinyl's origin
AU Crossovers - General tag for when the AUs universes collide and they all interact with each other, eventually I'll get around to tagging them with their individuals as well - General tag, summary of their dynamics
High School AU - Belongs to the anon who goes by Gal - Original post for details, general tag
Charlie and the Chocolate Factory/Factory Tour AU - credited to anons - Mostly based on the musical, Vox as the head of Voxtek is wanting to retire and Charlie after meeting his standards helps him reconcile with estranged husband Alastor in the process - Original post, general tag
We also have a lovely fanfiction anon who occasionally shows up and writes the most amazing stuff and then dips out (and who now has a blog!)
With regards to all the legally blonde references, it started here when I was informed Vox's VA Christian Borle was Emmett and it all spiraled from there. General tag (I might have missed a few bc it took me forever to think of something that wouldn't be in the main musical tab)
If I missed anything pls tell me, I'll update this as time goes on, but we have such an amazing community on this blog and I'm so grateful for the creativity people have shared, love you all and hope if you're new that you enjoy your stay < 3

Twenty Fanfic Writer Questions
Tagged by @littleblackraincloudofcourse
Tagging @lowkeyed1 @evodevo-geekmonkey @dianels @bisexualshakespeare @spybrarian @blackdalek
1. How many works do you have on Ao3?
7 (3 are WiP)
2. What’s your total Ao3 word count?
186,452
3. What fandoms do you write for?
Willow! ...Technically other things too but really it's just Willow with playful skins.
4. What are your top five fics by kudos?
Red Embers: dark alternate future AU, resistance fighters against the Wyrm's tyranny, grim & gritty
Like Constellations, a Million Years Away: sprawling mecha sci-fi AU set in the world of the Lancer tabletop roleplaying game. The Questies all pilot giant mechs; four books (2 done), one focused on each of Jade, Kit, Graydon, and Elora (in that order). Posthumanism, anticolonial to the extent a fanfic can be, utopian, dramatic.
Soft Blazing Crowns: Tanthamoretober one-shot. Modern AU. Elora helps Jade with a sexy photoshoot for a gift for Kit.
Full: (E-rated) Tanthamoretober one-shot. Modern AU. Straight-up smut drabble, 100 words on the dot. Extremely funny to me that this is in the top 5. :P
The Loving Hurt: Canon-set one-shot digging into the violence implied by the canon against the Bone Reavers, Scorpia's backstory, how Jade got her name. Dark, grim, not pleasant to write and in some ways probably not to read TBH. I was in A Mood!
5. Do you respond to comments?
Religiously! Sometimes it takes me a while, but I do.
6. What is the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?
Hmmm. I mean I think it's gotta be The Loving Hurt. Like I said. Dark. Blame the show's writers, I do. :P
7. What’s the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?
Gonna resist the temptation to say Full and instead say I think that it'll probably be Flawless Five vol. 1 when it's finished in a few weeks!
8. Do you get hate on fics?
Not so far!
9. Do you write smut? If so, what kind?
The only thing I'd consider smut is Full. Otherwise, not anywhere that you can see. ;)
10. Do you write crossovers? What’s the craziest one you’ve written?
No true crossovers, though Like Constellations is set (loosely) in the Lancer Universe.
11. Have you ever had a fic stolen?
I don't think so! They're too weird!
12. Have you ever had a fic translated?
No but I'd be so honored.
13. Have you ever co-written a fic before?
Nope!
14. What’s your all-time favorite ship?
I am a Tanthamore diehard, what can I say.
15. What’s a WIP you want to finish but doubt you ever will?
If you'd asked me recently I'd probably have said "all of them." Fortunately I'm feeling a little better lately! I hope to finish all of the current ones; Constellations is a slow, weighty project, F5 I hope to have done very shortly, Embers...we'll figure that out after F5.
16. What are your writing strengths?
I think I'm pretty good at dialogue, and I'm decent though not incredible at humor (especially character-based humor). I'm also a decent mimic - though this can feel a little clunky sometimes, I think I'm able to adjust my voice pretty easily to suit a situation, genre, or style. My unhinged and unpopular fic Excerpts from a new translation... is a pretty good example of that, lol. And on that note: I have a lot of fun with wacky metatextual stuff.
17. What are your writing weaknesses?
Taking the wacky meta stuff too far; not being bold enough in straying from the established character arcs/plots in canon; I don't think I'm great at writing really juicy interiority. Starting very large projects that will take forever to finish. ':)
18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language in fic?
I'm comfortable enough in Spanish to write simple dialogue in that language. I've done one line in Latin (which I'm comfortable with since it's functionally a dead language) and made up some words in a conlang for Constellations. Wouldn't try anything via Google Translate though.
19. First fandom you wrote for?
Willow! At least if we count conscious fanfiction. If we're going back to the Days of Yore probably Animorphs when I was a wee one.
20. Favourite fic you’ve written?
Difficult to pick...but Like Constellations is the baby, the one I'll finish come hell or high water (I hope). On the other hand, Flawless Five is probably the most fun (to write, and maybe to read if you like that sort of thing) and Red Embers is the one that in many ways I find most exciting. Like I said - hard to choose!

20 Q's for Fic Writers
I got tagged by @dp-marvel94! Thank you!
1. How many works do you have on Ao3?
I've just posted my 22nd work a few days ago!
2. What's your total Ao3 word count?
37,763
3. What fandoms do you write for?
So far, all my published fics are for Danny Phantom. It's a fandom that's near and dear to my heart and my favorite to write for. I've written fanfiction for myself in a lot of different fandoms over the years. Miraculous Ladybug, Mega Man (Star Force, Battle Network) and Fire Emblem are a few. (Will these ever see the light of day? Probs not, lol)
4. What are your top 5 fics by kudos? 5. Frayed Ends - 37 kudos - Jazz and Maddie are fighting more often. Jack wants to reach out and help his family. 4. The Same Blood - 45 kudos - Maddie and Jack try to help a sick girl that collapsed in front of their house. They don't know what to make of her condition. Danny wants to help.
3. Returned Home - 49 kudos - Maddie finds Danny at home after he disappeared ten months ago.
2. The Broken Pieces Left Behind - 66 kudos (tie) - Maddie knew what the portal did to Danny. If she could create something that essentially turned him into a ghost, she could figure out a way to fix all of it. Even if she hasn't made any progress in the past two months, she'll keep trying. She didn't account for what Danny wanted. 1 . What's Out of Out Control - 66 kudos (tie) - Danny thought he had it under control. He thought he could finally hang out like they used to always do. Tucker could feel the rift between them widening. It wasn't getting smaller anytime soon.
5. Do you respond to comments?
I try to! There were a few comments from my two earlier fics that I never responded to and it's already been so long and I feel like I ended up putting it off too long to say anything now 😓But I'm so so thankful for all the comments I receive! I never thought anyone would read my work, let alone comment on it. I'm always between two modes of 'author commentary' and 'screaming thank you and running away'.
6. What is the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?
Lol, I love my angsty stuff and there are so many different flavors of angst, so it's hard to pick just one. I'd say the piece I aimed to write for Angst Fest, The Broken Pieces Left Behind, might be it. It ends on a rather hopeless note for the Fenton family that even I don't know how to make everything better for them
7. What's the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?
Probably Home for a Cat. It was for a Ectoberhaunt prompt that I was absolutely stumped on. So I decided someone was going to adopt a cat by the end of the fic.
8. Do you get hate on fics?
Ahh, so I actually posted a fic on FFN wayyy back when I was in high school. I remember it being received pretty well but I got a really rude comment on a simple spelling mistake. Back then, I was just told I had dyslexia a few years prior and I had some really bad self-esteem issues tied in with that. So, yeah, that comment basically made me terrified to ever show my work to anyone ever.
It's been over ten years since then and I wanted to actually get over that fear. I impulsively decided to do Angst Fest with the mindset that no one would even look at what I posted. Not only did people look, everyone has been so kind!!!
9. Do you write smut? If so, what kind?
lkdajldkf, nope. I get flustered trying to write basic romance and having two characters hold hands, lmao. Major props to those that can, it's definitely a skill that takes time to master just like any other genre.
10. Do you write crossovers? What's the craziest one you've written?
I haven't.
11. Have you ever had a fic stolen?
Also haven't had this either.
13. Have you ever co-written a fic before?
Nope, but it seems like a lot of fun.
14. What's your all-time favourite ship?
Back when the show was airing, Amethyst Ocean (Danny/Sam) was my go to. I'm a sucker for friends to lovers tropes and it's really nostalgic for me. But, I don't really read a lot of shippy things for Danny Phantom, so ships don't make or break a fic for me.
If I'm looking to read romance, the whole Love Square (MariChat my beloved) with Miraculous Ladybug will always be great. Even if I jumped ship on the show around season 2 or 3 and I have no clue what they're doing now, lol.
15. What's a WIP you want to finish but doubt you ever will?
I honestly have so many WIPs that are unfinished on my computer from over the years. Maybe a super old one that I titled 'Phantoms in the Daylight'. Angst once more with Character Death as the main pain point. I like the beginning but oh boy, does it get sloppy and confusing real quick. I'd need serious outlining energy put into it if I'd ever want to salvage it and I just don't have it in me.
16. What are your writing strengths?
Dialogue! Give me two blorbos and I'll make them talk forever.
17. What are your writing weaknesses?
Scenery and description. I love the dialogue portion so much that I end up running into the floating heads in an empty room problem in the first drafts of my fics. My first round of edits are dedicated to making sure I have a scene and grounding characters into it. And then I have to go back later to make it not feel so robotic sounding.
(Also a weakness but more as in fic than writing. Summaries and Titles. I stare at my drafts on AO3's editor for at least half an hour trying to pull something together, lol)
18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language for a fic?
I can probably talk about this for hours, lol. I absolutely love foreign languages, especially when it comes to linguistics. So, I'll try to be brief, lmao. Short answer: depends on the fic but normally no. I already spend so much time fussing over the word choice/slang/formality/dialect characters use in my native language. I don't have a good enough grasp on another language for it to sound natural to the reader. ("They would not fucking say that" is my internal monologue during dialogue edits, lol)
19. First fandom you wrote for?
It's a toss up between Pokemon and Danny Phantom. I first learned about fanfiction from a friend who showed me FFN for the Pokemon fics. I looked around the site and found all of the Danny Phantom fics soon after and got hooked on those. I started writing around then and it would have been for one of those two.
20. Favorite fic you've written?
Hard to chose one! Writing technicality wise, I'm proud of how What Remains on the Table turned out. I consider description my weak point, so the original draft was 0 dialogue with very stiff descriptions. I was able to edit it to really practice my environmental storytelling. (Although, please mind the tags if you click the link as it does deal with the dissection topic)
I'm not sure who's been tagged and I'm not sure who writes fanfic, so @lavendarlily, @fangirlwriting-stories, @grub-xd, @nanaarchy and anyone else that wants to join!

And back to JJK. Demon slayer? Unfinished anime and how I got into anime..
This is just pure dumb stuff, randomness, and even cringe stuff thrown here, so feel free to skip!
For starters, JJK was one of my first animes. I had been dying to watch it, but I could not watch it because my brother was against it. But eventually, I did watch every episode until the Shibuya arc, and after that, I stopped because there would be too much violence and all that.
This led to my biggest mistake: starting anime and watching spoilers
Spoilers
Naruto was actually my first anime, and I binge-watched so many episodes at once and cried so much. It was super fun, and I even watched so many fillers, but my brother eventually said that season 2 of the series has too much of a serious tone and did not let me. So, what did I do?
Spoil the whole damn anime for me
And then finally, I was going to watch. I watched about another 200 episodes, and then that was the end of my Naruto saga. I know what happens in the war: Boruto, Naruto marrying Hinata, and all the Akatsuki backstory, so I just gave up.
And the same happened with JJK. I saw way too many spoilers, and I still watch the later chapter spoilers too; even JJK ended with me.
I was just going to start the manga from the Shibuya arc yesterday, but then I started Demon Slayer, which I also know the ending of.
The reason I am so into Windbreaker, Kaiju No. 8, Sakamoto Days, Spyx Family, the Millionaire Detective, Buddy Daddies, and even Gakuen Babysitters is because I did watch any spoilers for them.
-----------------------
The reason I even got into Quotev, or my first app where I read fanfiction,.
I had an obsession with Yuta from JJK, now that I think about it. I cannot help it; he is just too good, but writing fics about him is kind of awkward to me because of Rika.
It was from my grandmother's phone that I read my first anime fanfiction, It's Pure Love by Whale Crumpet. If you want a good Yuta fic, I would totally say to try this one out, but the author hasn't updated it since 2022, and I feel my heart breaking. Even though they said they would return to quotev, they never did.
The Yuta fic I loved the most was Cupid's Cursed Arrow by Strawberry Belle. Damn, did I fall hard for this fic. I would tell everyone in my house that Cupid's arrow was updated as I read it; it would give me giggles each time. That fic also hasn't been updated for 5 months.
Honestly I am not a sucker for crossover manga. It has to be super specific to my liking but Euphoria by Sceretstarlight was just too cute. Made me fall harder. Even the author of that fic on quotev is like the real life version of Mitsuri. I love her a lot♥️♥️
It was then a random day where I suddenly got an idea to write a Yuta fic, and I wrote it, rewrote it again, and the rewritten one has ten chapters in my notebooks, which I still have for the memories. I did read it a while ago, and it was terrible, but I had no freaking experience, so what can I do for that?
If anyone does want to read and give me some opinions on that chapter 1, I did upload it in my random ideas thrown here as a quote. You can read that here.
The only original story I have made is Lost in Dreams, which is again on quotev.
----------------------
And for Tumblr, I clicked on the website once and was reading what I thought was a Yuta period cramp comfort, but it required me to sign up and all, so after a while, I did do that, but that fic was a Yuta vampire smut fic, and I ended up not liking it.
I just read fics, I have no idea how to make my own blog, about tags, dashboard, you could follow people and even like there works.
One thing I do know is I had a Sung jinwoo fic reading obsession like I loved reading about him okay. The first Jinwoo fic that stole my heart was by @catboyfics. Hunter is a series and it was the first Jinwoo fic I read and was so so in love with. It was my first non JJK fic I read and it felt different than the others if you know what I mean. I didn't understand how to save or like a fic on tumblr so I lost it and I was super devastated truly I was super duper upset and sad that I spent what 2 hours searching the Jinwoo tag on tumblr and when I did not find it I could have even started crying BUT I found it again and I saved the upload in my folder where I can easily read it and also followed catboyfics. I hope they are alright because they haven't been/ updated their blog in 2 months.. I also have no memory on how I got to know about tumblr but now it is my most used website..
------------------------
That is the current problem with JJK fics, imo; the tags and stories are just almost pure shit. I am not saying bad to the writers; they have fun and they do what they want to do, but seriously, we need more JJK fluff, comfort, taking care of female readers, and overprotective fics. I just stated what I like, but whatever.
I have so much to write, but will I write that? No
Will I write dumb, stupid, and nonsenseful things? YEAH
I feel so stupid writing this but whatever let me rant/write random things for compensation for this horrible day
#ikaiju number 8#kn8#jujutsu kaisen#jjk#yuta okkotsu#sakamoto days#anime#i am not okay#okay#i just#i am so delusional#i am so dumb#i am so desperate#totallybakedcake#wind breaker#manga#jjk x reader#jujutsu sorcerer#rant post#personal rant#this is so stupid#demon slayer#hashira#kny#kimetsu no yaiba#tanjiro kamado#nezuko kamado#demon slayer nezuko#Totally caked talks

I AM AN AUTHOR!!!!
Hi??? I mean I need a post to pin on my page and i have decided to make this the post.
Hi, I am a fanfiction writer and I post on both Wattpad and AO3. My user is Lolyukimaxlol on both of them.
I write for these fandoms, in the order of less likely to write for to most likely to write for: Generation Loss, DSMP, EmpiresSMP, QSMP, Hermitcrat, Life series.
Most of my fanfictions will focus on ONE fandom (or Fandoms that are common to crossover, like Empires and the Life series,) BUT there will be SIDE characters of other fandoms if I deem necessary. If my character needs a therapist, I might add in Roier. Or if my character's in a public space, I might do references to Tallulah and Pomme. Or a coffeeshop (starbobby!)
I write STRICTLY Non-RPF stuff. Sexual content could be *implied* but not written (and even then it's only if it's plot relevent). Gore could appear, but that will be tagged for.
MY CURRENTS WORKS
Half's the dessert's rotten.
is a fanfiction that mainly focuses on Grian and Scar's relationship in some sort of art highschool. Although it is not the only one presented. There is some Cub x Mumbo and Tango x Scott x Jimmy. This story delves into their relationship and how mental illness infects them as an invidual and their relationships, and how they cope with it. I CANNOT promise you a good ending, but nothing is yet to be set in stone in my plans.
'Til The End Of The Earth (Guess We Found Out Where The Earth Ends)
This is a Fred/WA02 x Tubbo story in an apocalypse of zombies that has been ongoing for 6 years. This story is a QSMP-main story, although it contains characters from the DSMP and Scott Smajor. Tommy, Tubbo and Ranboo find an underground organization during the apocalypse and are too curious to let it be. They enter under-cover and make friends. But feelings of power could intervene, justice might be given, and some people might never be seen again...
Tomorrow we'll dig through the garbage.
https://archiveofourown.org/works/59272132/chapters/151158691
https://www.wattpad.com/1473351793-tomorrow-we%27ll-dig-through-the-garbage-zombiezood
This story delves into Martyn and Scott's lives after their rough break up. Though their relationship was not the prettiest, having past the line of abusive long ago. Now, they have to live through feelings of guilt and nostalgia as they learn to move and grow without the other, in a safe environment. This story is actually a passion project of mine. I love writing mental illness and fucked up characters and i love psychology, but I actually wanted to get on work on healing. To show that you do heal. it takes time. Take care of yourself<3
Help's a bit of a Buzzkill. - Done, waiting on sequel. Coming on the 5th of October.
This story is the first story in my series UADOAS (Scroll down for more info) inspired by Amethystfairy1. It explores Tubbo and Tommy's evolving friendship in the Under-City, a place that is not nice to it's resident. As they find ways to survive and try to.. Climb?! they make some unexpected meetings. I guess you could say it's about the friends they made along the way.
MY CURRENT SERIES
Ups And Downs Of A Society
This series is inspired by @amethystfairy1 'TTSBC' "Through The Sky-Blue Cracks" But involves different dynamics and fandoms (Current fandoms planned are Life Series, QSMP, DSMP and Empires.) It currently has one work "Help's a bit of a Buzzkill" (Scroll up for more info) but there is so much planned such as the Clockers, Misclick duo, QSMP eggs, Flower... husbands... ranchers...?? and MORE! I am very excited for this project and am very grateful to have gotten the OK from Amethyst to make this silly universe a reality.
Celestial Beings Hierarchy
This series is a Life Series main series, looking at the Winner's arena after the life games, dubbed Ouranios. After they win, the Winner's consciousness leave their Player body and goes to the "Watcher's Trashcan" Where they put everything they don't like. Such as nature, clouds, skies, The Sun (Grian); The Stars (Scott); The Moon (Pearl); Mars (Martyn); Earth (Scar). AKA the winners. They have different ways to go on about things and opinions but try their best to stay civil (well.. as much civil as Pearl can get herself to be). But after an incident where the Watchers noticed Grian Watching, and tormenting him for a day, and with the strong feeling that a new Death Game might be upcoming so a new Winner, and the stress of- Why is Ouranios rotting?! Well.. We'll just have to fuck around and find out. (The series does include non-famous ships that will be revealed shortly. There is currently 2 works in the series. One introducing it with a 5+1 times, and one delving in Scar and Pearl's relationship/p. The "not famous" ship will be revealed in the next work, "Daffodils on a pretty string" (scroll down for more) coming out soon. hopefully.)
PUBLIC IN-THE-WORK PROJECTS.
Soulmates AU
This story is not published but will be after "Help's a bit of a Buzzkill." (Scroll up for more info) is done. It is about Scott x Tango but there is a weird tension between Scott and Pearl... This is as much as is public info about it and does not yet have a title. Coming soon!
ZC!Scar AU
This is a project I am very excited about. It could very well be a one-standing project but could as well become a series. It does have a title but I deem it temporary. Not much is public about this AU. (Can you take a guess on what ZC means? It is not ZombieCleo. I promise.)
Common Life
This is a project that will be released whenever the first episode of the new Life Series will be released. It is not a choice. I am forcing myself to do it. That's all the public info I have for y'all.
My ChatFic.
Not much is revealed either except that when it is out it will be posted daily. 'Cause contrary to other works Chatfics are considerably shorter. And that Scott is a bitch in it. I said it (in a tumblr post, actually,) that "Scott is a toxic ex mf" (my words) "and that he should be decripted as much. coming from an autistic mf addicted with him" Then said that this is a spoiler for my ChatFic. Take it as you will (i love scott but he gets to be a manipulative bitch as a treat from time to time.
Neighbours Be Neighbours
Nothing is revealed except that it's Flower husbands. I love flower husbands. and unlike my chatfic scott isnt a toxic mf. i love scott smajor. and flower husbands.
Daffodils on a pretty string.
I almost forgot this one even though i mentioned it earlier on. This story is part of the series Celestial Beings Hierarchy (Scroll up for more!) and dives into the evolving relationship between a SECRET SHIP! It is not famous; Do not expect flower husbands or scarian. You will be disappointed-- Any ship you can think of (Shiny duo, snowbugs, grumbo etc) THATS NOT IT. anyway. I'm very excited for this one because… This ship hasn't gotten a work in.. 3 months. and even then it's a chatfic. I hope you guys learn to appreciate it as much as I do and revive its tag<3 not like it was ever alive in the first place… sighs.
Honorable mention:
-The purge (a book that i'll work on. one day)
-Empires x QSMP AU (a book that i'll work on. one day)
-Those other Aus sitting in my drafts (ull probably never get worked on ever again)
And I believe that's it. Goodbye. I hope to post more here and become famous. please

How many works do you have on AO3?
101
What’s your total word count?
1,076,771
What are your top 5 fics by kudos?
Mile to go Before I Sleep (423 kudos)- A MEA longfic featuring Emma Ryder, a human/alien hybrid (I made them myself :3) and her adventures in Andromeda and budding romance with Jaal Wicked Games (229 kudos)- Astarion tries to seduce a motive out of Rhea but it doesn't go to plan Relieving Tension (185 kudos)- Sara tries to take on everything, and Jaal reminds her to slow down Keep Me (143 kudos)-During an ice storm, Circe finally reveals what she's been hiding from Gale Afternoon Pick Me Up (132 kudos)- Sara Ryder helps Kandros relax on his day off
Do you respond to comments? Why/Why not?
Most of the time, yes!
What’s the fic you’ve written with the angstiest ending?
I Will Never Forget You. It's one of my earlier fics for Solavellan where Solas tracks down a Lavellan that has dementia and doesn't really remember him.
Do you write crossovers?
I haven't yet. There's a ME/Alien and MEA/Alien: Isolation idea that's been sitting on the shelf for a long time
Have you ever received hate on a fic?
Not outright hate but I have gotten some not so nice comments and dealt with them accordingly
Do you write smut?
YES lol
Have you ever co-written a fic before?
Nope.
What’s your all time favorite ship?
It's so hard to pick an all time ship because my brain rotates them like a microwave. Right now my brain wormies are focused on Lucanis/Elauthin but tomorrow I might be back to Solas/Makenna/Raina or Astarion/Rhea or Emma/Jaal or...
What’s a WIP that you want to finish don’t think you ever will?
I don't want to say that I'll never finish a WIP because I'm always going to try until I can't. I suppose the original Blood Queen would count because I deleted that and I'm rewriting it (why am I like this)? I always start writing stuff with the intention of finishing it but between also working on my original work, my brain throwing ideas at me 25/8, and life beating me up when it feels like it, it may take me awhile.
What are your writing strengths?
Dialogue and pacing. I've also gotten a lot of compliments on how I put a story together, and someone likened it to watching a chess match.
What are your writing weaknesses?
I sometimes struggle with visual details. Usually it's something I have to buff in editing though fanfiction gets minimal editing from me.
What are your thoughts on writing dialogue in other languages in a fic?
I only do it for single words or phrases that I know or can ask someone I know about. I'm not great at learning languages (not for a lack of trying) and try not to embarrass myself
What’s the first fandom you wrote for?
Does Greek Mythology (a middle schoolers understanding of it) count? It was a vampire au with Ariadne, Dionysus, and Theseus. Thankfully, handwritten.
What’s a fandom/ship you haven’t written for yet, but want to?
Coral Island I think. I was going to say Stardew Valley, but I technically have written some things, I just haven't published them.
What’s your favorite fic you’ve ever written?
I love all of my fics but I'm going to choose Miles to go Before I sleep because it's the first I ever finished, I'm still proud of that to this day, and I miss Emma and Jaal.

Fanfiction Author Interview Game
Thank you to @danger-tits-lute
How many works do you have on AO3?
13
What's your total AO3 word count?
168,636
Though if I were to add the word count from fics I hadn't posted there, that's an additional 10,263 words of published fic. Those can be found here (the full collection of my writing partner and I's Treasure Planet collaboration). Technically they weren't posted to AO3 or Fanfic.net since neither my writing partner nor I felt it right to post in those places since some of those fics only the worlds are used. Mostly moments and stories for our main OC's.
Your top 5 stories by kudos:
Turning a Blind Mind (My Hero Academia)
No Eye for Design (My Hero Academia)
Pressed Flowers (My Hero Academia)
Stolen Valor (Treasure Planet)
A Waltz to Remember (Star Trek: The Original Series)
Do you respond to comments? Why or why not?
I try to though I don't end up always doing so. I don't think I did in the beginning? But I can't quite recall.
Do you write crossovers?
Yes and no. My Treasure Planet universe with my writing partner has specific crossovers with Tarzan and Atlantis: The Lost Empire, but in those cases it was more because they fit into the late Victorian, early Edwardian time frame that Treasure Planet is loosely based on, and we were able to adapt them to Treasure Planet's generous setting. Definitely not something I do lightly.
Do you write smut? If so, what kind?
No. Not that I don't like smut, I just haven't written it.
Have you ever had a fic stolen?
Not that I'm aware of!
Have you ever co-written a fic before?
Oh the vast majority of my Treasure Planet stuff was a co-writing situation. The only reason any of those fics got longer than a chapter was because of my writing partner lol.
What's your all-time favourite ship?
I'll give two answers since my actual absolute favorite ship to write was a pair of OC's my partner and I wrote for: Dr. Eleanor Gray and Charlotte Ko. GUUUH I love them. As far as characters that actually exist in other works, I very much enjoyed writing for Erasermic in My Hero Academia.
What's a WIP that you want to finish but don't think you ever will?
As much as it pains me, probably Ascent. I started it because I was in a sort of dark place in my life, but I also wanted to prove that I could write a longer fic WITHOUT my partner. Yeah, well, it was clear how THAT went. There was also a fic that I wanted to do since I was helping John's Hopkins with a research project that included the Spanish Flu Pandemic as a scenario basis as it was 100 years since that event. It was going to be the Treasure Planet characters dealing with a pandemic in Port Crescentia with Dr. Gray being the highlight as the main medical professional. I got delayed because of grad school and another fic, but when I was finally ready to start? The Covid pandemic hit and things got a bit TOO real. Maybe one of these days I'll go back to it, but it was very uncanny.
What are your writing strengths?
If you ask my writing partner, it would be brevity. Not to diss me, but I could distill one of his thoughts much more succinctly. I guess I also enjoy domestic fluff a LOT. Though I don't know if I'd say I'm GOOD at it.
What are your writing weaknesses?
Description, I think. Especially visually. Follow through on anything that I can't get done in one sitting. Two max.
What's a fandom/ship you haven't written for yet but want to?
Cheap shot and going with Hazbin Hotel/Helluva Boss. I RP in it but I haven't made official fics yet. Though I've written some drabbles for friends, but I've never published them anywhere. Not sure if I want to since those are often highly specific AU's or scenarios.
What's your favourite fic that you've written?
Two answers on this one too. The best time I had writing a fic was actually entirely OC's in the Treasure Planet setting. Training Day is about some Navy Medics in training going through an unconventional exercise intended to get them ready for a chaotic battle scenario. I was crying laughing through part of it. For one with canon characters? Really hard to chooooose but I think No Eye for Design. It and its sequel were more about me working through what it means to me to have aphantasia. While its predecessor, Turning a Blind Mind, is probably more meaningful, this one has some cute fluff I greatly enjoyed. As a bonus, my favorite scene ever to write was actually in Atlantis Returns. No spoilers, but Kida merges with the Heart of Atlantis and while my partner wrote most of it or we were collaborative, I wrote that scene entirely myself. Just really proud how it came out.
Tagging: .... idk who among here writes fic that is published to AO3 but if you see this and want to do it, let me know and let me SEE.

I’d like to toss my hat into the ring since that anon brought up AUS. I don’t have any favorites or enjoyment of a lot of them, So here’s a sort list I can think off;
1. A/B/O: It’s just very, very, uncomfortable.
2. Crossovers: 80 or 90% of the time when there’s crossovers, it’s just crossing over for the sake of having your fav characters meet and get up to crazy adventures. There’s no actual reason as to why there crossing over apart from that.
3. mafia: Not a fan as there’s nothing different, but there’s a Mob AU by Clownn (correct me if I spell it wrong,), they put a unique twist by having it be physiological and giving it certain traits to make their AU stand out from the usual Mafia AUs.
4: anesthesia: It’s a pretty cheap way to get characters to fall in love and kinda creepy when you think deeper about how easily bad things can go.
5. Soulmates or Marks: I don’t like the idea of a mark or something telling you who your partner is or who to be with. What if you don’t want a partner tho or not interested in falling in love? Are you allowed to be just friends instead?
I prefer if authors/creators add more unique twist or additional spin on AUs. The down side is, I have seen some pretty unique AUs but they’re not as talked about or popular since it’s not the go to ones that fanbases love.
Ah yeah, A/B/O AUs tend to romanticize toxic relationships a lot from what I usually see. Not liking it is understandable. Ironically though, the whole Alpha, Beta, and Omega stuff that was made by a researcher later discarded his own theory after further study of wolves. (In short, wolves are just large families with mom and dad in charge, the whole A/B/O stuff makes no sense.) So the whole thing is really just made up of disproved theories and is purely fiction.
The others are also understandable. Some of the AUs tend to have repeating themes or they end up being complete copies of each other. The Whole amnesia one is creepy, yeah. I have only ever read 3 fanfictions in my life that did this trope properly and it only really works if the characters knew each other beforehand or they were already in a relationship before it happened.
The soulmate one is kind of okay depending on who is writing it and how it is written. I've seen a handful of very well written soulmate AUs that actually got creative with it, but a lot of the fanfictions for AUs like that just repeat and copy each other a little too much.
To be perfectly honest, I agree that unique AUs are way better because it leaves room for even more AUs to branch off of those one and it also helps other writers get a good idea on how to handle the idea behind it.
My other favorite AU type is one I don't see often but I wish I did, and it's the self-aware ones or the ones where the reader/character ends up in the fictional world of the fandom they're in. My reason for liking those ones is because they can turn into good horror fics or have creepy vibes IF done right. It's like the 4th wall breaking rule in some video games or horror movies. Twilight Zone vibes y'know?
For my own personal Finfolk AU, I did want to add yandere vibes, but not like Wattpad anime fanfiction kind of yandere. I think yandere fics should be taken seriously and treated seriously because of the topics they deal with. I have read so many fanfictions that do it just right where it genuinely scares me and it makes for interesting dynamics between the characters. I haven't gone into full horror with the AU though simply because I'm afraid of people romanticizing what is supposed to be dangerous behavior or dark topics. The finfolk folklore itself is dark when you look into the stories/mythology. I just don't like seeing how often AUs and fanfictions with serious topics get put on a pedestal in a wrong lighting. But, I do plan on eventually trying to go full horror with it at some point. When? I'm not sure yet. Maybe when I have more experience in writing. All I know is that making the characters attractive (that is what finmen/women do regardless in folklore) but obsessive without making it romanticized is going to be difficult.

Interview With a Writer
Artwork by @lonnson 💜
Continuing with my series is @lonnson, who does not only create amazing pieces but can write as well. 💜 I cannot thank you enough for taking the time to allow me to gush over your story and answering my questions!
As always, you can look over the masterlist to see the other amazing authors I have spoken with. This series is just a BTS of some of the talented minds on Tumblr and ao3. 💜
Story: Winterwood on ao3
Paring: Aemond Targaryen x OFC
Rating/Warning: SA mentioned, graphic depictions of violence, major character death.
So, when did you start writing? I've liked coming up with stories since I was a kid but I never really wrote them down (I was more of an artist than a writer). I think my first "real" fanfiction was a crossover between Downton Abbey and a popular German detective audiobook series (very niche, I know 😅).
It was my first attempt at writing fanfiction and I have no idea if it was any good but at the end of the day it helped me get started on writing (hopefully) better stuff so it wasn't a waste of time.
What inspired this story? I really got into the gothic horror genre and dark fairytale retellings last year and read a lot of books with that vibe.
The main bit of inspiration definitely came from "The Wolf and the Woodsman" by Ava Reid, which is about a girl and a one-eyed prince. When I watched House of the Dragon later that year, I immediately thought of that novel again.
I also took some inspiration from fantasy movies I love, like Stardust or The Chronicles of Narnia.
I wanted to do creepy creatures to pop-up in my story, like the bat creatures that were inspired by the cliff ghasts from His Dark Materials. And I also love reading books about bloodthirsty faeries so I thought they fit the vibe (of Winterwood) as well.
I also love the book "Vaesen" by Johan Egerkrans about spirits and monsters from Scandinavian folklore!
Can you explain your interpretation of Aemond? What drives him in Winterwood? What made him the way he is? I wanted to keep him relatively close to canon, because I do enjoy a good morally-grey character with villain tendencies. But obviously I also wanted to explore some stuff with him that's just my personal interpretation of Aemond.
In my story, Rhaenyra is Queen, Aegon has been executed and Aemond has been exiled to be a Night's Watch man. He's still ambitious and proud, but he's also been disillusioned by life. He can be testy and cranky but he's also feeling very lonely. He's done bad things during the war and they still haunt him.
I also really wanted him to be somewhere on the asexual spectrum because I'm always drawn to characters who could potentially be ace in how they're portrayed in canon.
My take on Aemond is that he's never really experienced a lot of affection in his life and therefore craves but also fears it. He's interested in swordplay, studies and dragons but he's not a womanizer. And I really wanted to keep his "bad" traits. He's judgmental, testy and very, very guarded. He opens up to others at the speed of a glacier.
What inspired your character creation Lya/Skaðe? Her character kind of developed naturally as I wrote the first chapter. I didn't want her to be "Aemond's love interest", I wanted her to be the second main character of the story.
She's as complicated as him and they're not so different from each other, which is why they don't get along at all in the beginning. They're lone wolfs, capable fighters and don't trust easily. Lya follows her own agenda and keeps some secrets that are potentially dangerous... Her name is spelled very similar to "liar" which may be a hint to her not being entirely trustworthy.
You already hinted at it, but you prefer to draw or to write? Drawing, definitely. I've drawn since I was a kid and it's still my main creative outlet. I think about fictional scenarios about 85% of the day (😅), but only very few of them are coherent enough to actually write them down. I'd LOVE to write a book though, that's the dream. Do you have a personal favorite story you'd like to share? If you happen to be a fan of The Suicide Squad, I loved anchorage by mentallyillmermaid on ao3 (I'm one of the ten people who are really into the Polka-Dot Man x Ratcatcher ship haha)

...or at least I think I do.
Anyway, something tells me that it'd be neat to have a well-organised pinned post, so here goes.
I go by M around this place, and I've been back here since 2020 after almost a decade of absence from this hellsite. I'm a 28-year-old queer woman from Indonesia, and I spend around 30% of my fandom life writing fic, 5% being a connoisseur of...less-than-stellar and often obscure movies starring hot actresses that I like (Jeri Ryan, Gates McFadden, Denise Crosby, Laura Innes, Sherry Stringfield, Maura Tierney to name a few...), and the remaining 65% lamenting the fact that I'm a fandom participant from a non-Western country where English is not an official language which is...well, let's say it can be quite a lonely existence.
My two primary fandoms here are ER and Star Trek (The Next Generation, Voyager, Picard), so you'll find that most of my posts and reblogs are related to those two - with a dash of other stuff. I got into ER during lockdown in 2020, and it remains one of the best decisions I've ever made. It is my favourite show ever, and as of now Kerry Weaver is still the only queer character on TV that I can relate to fully as a struggling queer woman in a less-than-supportive environment. ER was also my entry to online fandom spaces, particularly Twitter and Tumblr. Star Trek is the one fandom I never expected to really get into, given that I was never too big on sci-fi, though according to my mum it runs in the family since my late grandfather loved The Original Series and was an admirer of Spock. So far I have watched TNG, VOY, and PIC, with VOY being my favourite - especially my beloved former Borg drone and half-Klingon.
As I said, fanfiction is my thing here and I've been into it since I was around 14 - though I didn't start writing seriously until I was an adult. Among other things, fic helped me learn English tremendously as a teenager, and though naturally I still make mistakes here and there I feel far more confident writing fic in English than in Indonesian, lol. So far I have 29 published works on AO3, all ER and Trek. My favourite characters, and thus the ones I write the most about, are Kerry Weaver, Susan Lewis, Abby Lockhart, and Carol Hathaway (ER); Tasha Yar, Data, Beverly Crusher, and Deanna Troi (TNG); and Kathryn Janeway, B'Elanna Torres, and Seven of Nine (VOY). My preferred ships are Kerry/Susan, Kerry/Abby, and Abby/Susan (ER); Picard/Crusher and Data/Tasha (TNG); and B'Elanna/Seven (VOY).
These are some of my personal favourites that I've written:
ER The Ache for Home (Kerry/Susan) When All We Have is Here and Now (Kerry/Susan) In a Sacred Place (Kerry/Susan) Like Nothing Before (Abby/Susan)
Star Trek In Salvo (TNG x VOY crossover; Seven, the Doctor, & Beverly) The Colours Are Bright (VOY; Janeway & Seven) One Hundred Hours (VOY; B'Elanna & Seven)
For more of those, here's my AO3 profile - do feel free to leave a comment if you enjoy any of my works! I also take prompts for the aforementioned fandoms, and if you have any please hit me up here. In case you somehow happen to enjoy my vibes, I'm also on Twitter as @lobsterbreaker and my ask here is (almost) always open. In addition, I'm a mod on two queer-focused Discord servers: que[ER] Fic and Fandom for all things ER fanfiction and fandom with a twist of gayness and Space MILFs for our favourite hot ladies in space - please let me know if you're interested in joining either (or both 👀)!
That's about it, really, so if you've been so kind to bear with me here you fucking rock, I love you, I wish you the best yadda yadda yadda, and here's to more medical and space shenanigans!

🍄❄️🌿 if you want!! - @pigeonwit
(Writer ask game!)
🍄 (how did you get into writing fanfiction?)
This has...three answers, depending on how far back you want to go.
Answer 1: The first fanfiction I wrote was a cursed but hilarious Shakespeare mega-crossover that I've contemplated posting here based on a writing prompt on a sophomore year English final. I then proceeded to not write any more fanfiction (except for my Broadchurch-inspired poetry in creative writing), until...
Answer 2: At the beginning of the pandemic, I was rewatching Parks and Rec and was curious how, at one point, Ben knew about Leslie's favorite spot in City Hall. I wrote a short one-shot with my thoughts, made an AO3 account to post it, and thought I'd never use the account to post anything else, until...
Answer 3: A few months after I first watched Newsies, I thought I could fit the Newsies characters into a Much Ado About Nothing retelling pretty well--Javid as Ben and Bea, Spot and Race as Claudio and Hero, Katherine as Don Pedro, etc. My irl friend encouraged me to write it and helped with some plot stuff (Jack dressing up as Rapunzel was her idea if I remember correctly). I thought I wouldn't write anything else after that, but then I had ideas for one-shots and was kind of in a bad place mentally, so I kept going, and now here I am >140k words into the Bachelorette AU! What a time!
❄ (What's your dream theme/plot for a fic, and who would write it best?)
I thought about this in the shower, and I think I'd like to see a whodunit/murder mystery fic, which seems like the sort of thing @jack-kellys would be good at. I know I certainly would not be up to writing a proper murder mystery though (despite taking an entire English class on detective fiction in high school).
(Last answer under the cut because this got long, oops)
🌿 (give some advice on writer's block and low creativity)
I know I maintain the illusion of avoiding writer's block by having a semi-regular posting schedule for the Bachelorette AU, but I am very much not immune to writer's block. Here are some things I do, with the caveat that this is just my experience and my methods do not work for everyone.
If the block is coming from feeling like I'm not sure what I'm doing in the next few scenes, I'll take a bit to figure out and write down what the next few scenes will be. These won't be super detailed, but I'll sometimes specify the POV character and usually say "xyz happens." For example, right now I have notes in my bachelorette document about who's going in the hot seat when, as well as the scenes I want to have take place after the men tell all filming wraps.
If I'm just overwhelmed, I'll take a little longer and write a list of things, in order, that need to happen in a chapter (this is what I did for each chapter for the bachelorette au). In the Much Ado adaptation, I wrote down each scene number from the play and decided which POV(s) each scene would have and in what order, which served as a reminder of what each scene focused on.
If it's just that the words won't come, I look back over what I've read, go read a book, or I just sort of force myself to plod along (with the exception of these past couple weeks, where I've been really tired from work and haven't had much time to sit down and designate Writing Time). Brute-forcing isn't for everyone, but when I'm doing that, I try not to delete what I've written and I try not to think about whether it's good, since if I don't like the scene I can go back and edit or rewrite it later. I also do sprints sometimes.
After yet another abandoned novel attempt in 2022, I never skip ahead to the scene I really want to write. I'll write down single lines or bits of dialogue, but that's it. If I skip ahead, it makes it way harder to finish the fic.
#asks#ask game#pidge!#dubious life advice#writing#that first answer reminded me that i've spent a lot of time writing memoir-style stuff#both for fun and to help make sense of my life because i've had some weird/bad stuff happen#anyway these were very fun thanks for sending them!

Answer the questions and tag five fanfiction authors you know! Thanks @jamietarttsnorthernattitude for the tag.
1. How many fandoms have you written in?
40? At least according to ao3, but some of those are weird because they exist within the same universe but are different fandoms tags for different media (like with comics and Star Wars), plus some unfinished/unpublished stuff that's still on my computer and will probably never been seen by another person
2. How many years have you been writing fanfiction?
My first published fic was 2016 or 2017 I think. So around seven.
3. Do you read or write more fanfiction?
Read for sure, it's a problem.
4. What is one way you've improved as a writer?
Hopefully everything. But I've been actively trying to work on stuff like research and outlining, as well as emotions.
5. What's the weirdest topic you researched for a writing project?
Jewelry, specifically earrings, worn in Romania in the 1400s for a Castlevania/MLB crossover fic. I was neck deep in pdfs of archeology reports.
6. What's your favourite type of comment to receive on your work?
Any comment is an amazing comment. But my favorite is when people point out specific details or tell me how they felt about the chapter on a personal level. Also re-read comments because what do you mean you love my fic enough to read it more than once??
7. What's the most fringe trope/topic you write about?
I am forever a crossover girlie. See Q5, which might be my wackiest crossover yet, but is my no means my only. Stuff like Criminal Minds + Supernatural are fairly standard, and I'm not the only one to write Ted Lasso + Leverage but the Old Guard + the Mechanisms? Weird.
8. What is the hardest type of story for you to write?
Long fics and especially multi chapters are very hard because of my attention span, but it helps to keep a couple going at a time I've found.
Also, romance. I've written a lot of it and yet I don't think I'm good at it.
9. What is the easiest type?
Stuff I know. I'm always going through life asking myself would this moment in my life make a good fic? And the answer most of the time is yes.
10. Where do you do your writing? What platform? When?
Crosslegged on my bed, in my beanbag chair, the floor, the couch, where ever feels comfortable really. Google Docs, although I am also looking to find another platform to write on that words well. I write when I should be doing other stuff, mostly.
11. What is something you've been too nervous/intimidated to write, but would love to write one day?
Every fandom I'm in, I dream up three aus: a Leverage fusion, a sense8 fusion, and a Pacific Rim fusion. I'm a fusion girlie too. I've written a single Leverage au back when I was doing Torchwood, but no others have gotten past the drabbles and scribbled notes stage.
12. What made you choose your username?
youtube
Tagging @orbitalpirate @writer-and-thrasher @magdaclaire @stonesandswords @unholybinchicken
#I've had most of this done since this morning but I got distracted by the Supernatural news#Youtube

Hello, I have questions! 🥹🥹
🍓🍬 for the ask game
I'm so happy you have questions, and it just so happens I have answers and opinions 🤣
🍓 How did I get into Fanfiction?
This may be a long-winded answer, I'm sorry
Okay, so I have been writing fanfiction on and off 23. And writing in general since I was able to write (my falling apart SpongeBob diary is fully of scribbles that only 5 year old me understands) and so I truly can't pinpoint how I got into it I know it started around 2006-2007 that I started writing it.
This was when I was really into the Hannah Montana, Naked Brothers Band etc. Honestly, I am so shocked I came out of those years never writing or reading an angsty twilight fanfiction! Anyway I had started getting into journaling and wrote a Hannah Montana Naked Brothers Band Crossover. This story has not and will never see the light of day but the journal still remains into my possession.
I started posting fanfiction in high school, and apparently back when we didn't have A03, Wattpad, or Fanfiction.net, and we posted our fics on YouTube. As far as I knew on that corner of the internet, it was jonas Brothers fanfics, and it was in the Camp Rock craze. I remember stumbling upon a story and was brave enough to share my own (since it also helped me hone my now non-existent video editing skills).
I will note this was when you could get picked on for writing that stuff, so I hid under a pseudonym for a while. And as someone who has seen the fanfic genre grow into what it is now, I'm so happy with how it's become where people can openly talk about it.
Oh, and not that it's a part of the question, but I didn't pick the fanfic writing back up until my senior year of high school. When Oz, the great and powerful came out. You want to read something that will make you cringe. Feel free to find my fanficition where my story ideas start really strong and have since been abandoned. Though there is a criminal mind story, people to this day seem to enjoy SaraWrites23 is the user, but I doubt I'll post much on there anymore.
So, the short of it. I tripped into this hole and stumbled upon this beautifully unique corner of the internet that has always been welcoming to me 😊 thanks for taking a trip down memory lane with me!
🍬 post an unpopular opinion about a popular fandom character.
I don't know if it's unpopular by any means but I'm about to say it with my whole chest.
FOR THOSE WHO HAVE NOT READ HOUSE OF FLAME AND SHADOW PLEASE STOP READING HERE:
I mean it!

READ AT YOU'RE OWN RISK
If CC3 has taught me anything it's this Hunt was written as a complex character with PTSD and for all 3 books would have laid down his life for his mate. And did not for a minute deserve Bryce's blatant disregard for his PTSD and making fun of him for it. The reason Hunt is not an "alphahole" it's because Bryce is toxic as fuck and at least in book 3 didn't try to help her mate. I understand they were gearing up for war, but I can't help but think if the roles had been swapped Hunt would have made sure she was in the right headspace as we have seen it on the page in the first book.
*end rant*

(these are going to get long so i'll put a readmore to spare the dashboard lol)
[ indigo ] when did you first start writing / roleplaying?
for writing (stories) i'd say in early middle school when i realized fanfiction was a thing. before that i just did a lot of journaling, or i'd finish a trip with family and write a long essay about everything we did on the trip. anyways when the fanfic itch hit i wrote obsessively and even titled my story journals as i finished them so i could keep them in chronological order. (like i had one named after spring, another for summer, fall, winter, etc. and then a series named after favorite gemstones x flowers). i think i filled 40+ notebooks of various sizes by high school? they're still somewhere in the basement at my parents' place probably.
then i found ff.net and realized people posted their stuff online so i tried that a bit, and when ff.net started getting dated i moved onto ao3. i don't have as much energy or drive to write the crazy crossover AUs i used to do but it's still nice to post there, or make up original short stories for fun. anyways TL;DR i'm always writing something somewhere sometime~
for RP i wanna say...early 2000s? back when forum RPs were a thing. and i don't mean the fancy kind they have now where you can custom-theme your posts, but just plain message boards where you started a topic to make "threads" and replies to that thread made up your interactions, and the rest of the board was divided up so you had locations in one place and character profiles in another, etc etc. they were everywhere and constantly opening and shutting down so i went everywhere too, lol. also signed up for this digimon PbEM RP group where they had a plotline and an all-original crest lineup but you had to make up your own digidestined and digimon and apply to join. then we'd RP on a word doc and email it to the next person in the group to get the story going. it was sooo old school but it was genuinely fun. i also applied to join a livejournal MFRP group but got rejected because my app wasn't good enough hahaha that got me a little scarred so i hid away from MFRP for awhile
(also a special bonus to the time my friends and i RPed as neopets faeries in a composition book we'd pass around in school between periods.)
for tumblr RP i think it was like 2014 or 2015 after a RP hiatus? the messageboards were dead or dying by then and heck if i was going to learn livejournal and its weird system so i joined some ancient chinese themed MFRP group with a similar chinese drama-inspired muse but that shut down within a month so i wandered around until i found a bigger more active group and stuck around there. and now i'm on and off here. :)
[ plum ] are you more of a dialogue or a description writer?
when it comes to RP, i think i lean more towards description because i need to give context to my muse's lines. but for stories i'm more dialogue heavy, and i enjoy writing exchanges back and forth between characters.
[ mulberry ] what tips would you give someone with writer's block?
i don't know if i'm the best person to ask but when i'm stuck on writer's block i work on a different...writing project..... you know they all have different vibes and stuff so a change of scenery gives the mind a break and stuff? it's good.
and it works because i still wanna write, i just don't want to write for Thing A so why not Thing B lol.
it also helps to find a focus, most of my writing block woes come because i don't know where/what to do next, so maybe i find a song, a pretty quote, or an icon that gives me the right "vibes" for what i want to express and think up the rest of the post from that.
it also helps to have a smaller goal to work towards even if you don't know how the ending will turn out. for example, if in a thread my A is interacting with your B and i think to myself "well according to what i've read in B's app he'd prolly hate A and think him a prick, so it'd be interesting if A gets a chance to showcase his prick side in this thread eventually," then i'd insert stuff into my replies to gradually make A more annoying and play off what B replies to work towards that "goal."
of course since RP is directed by both sides those mini-goals sometimes get sidetracked, but then it's fun to see in what new direction we take the interaction instead haha
[ coral ] give a shoutout to one of your favorite blogs.
i can’t stress enough how helpful quotes/musings blogs are for like aesthetics or muse inspirations for me and the nice thing is most of them are still around even if they haven’t updated in years so HERE HAVE THIS POST WITH LINKS TO A BUNCH MORE GREAT MUSINGS POSTS BLOGS

Stargazer’s Art History: Best of the Amino Era (Portal)
Around 2017, I joined Amino! Most of what I posted was Barbie-related, but there were a lot of good posts I had there so I'll be crossposting them here individually (and slowly). However, I also had some Portal-based stuff that I was pretty proud of.
![Tumblr media](https://64.media.tumblr.com/45f0e7d4980fde59d2bc320643941507/dc6ec21989b2e7e5-3b/s540x810/0dc7ce1197202bb95cd1f6002a2d30bfb9a8d450.jpg)
First up was this humanized GLaDOS design, based off of an earlier humanization I made of the Broken Age character Lorraine (the fork). This is basically what my design for Lorraine looked like, except in white/black/gold instead of blue/orange/white, and also a little more intense looking. She's a design I used in a sort-of-series I called "Project HuXLEY"—a Portal and Brave New World crossover. You can find that on AO3!

I also made this watercolor painting of her! I don't paint with watercolors very often, so this was a fun experiment for me.

This comic used lyrics from "The Mascot 3000" from Paul Shapera's New Albion Guide to Analogue Consciousness, which I thought would make great crossover content with Portal. I also wrote out this mess along the same lines:
[...] Anyway, without further dithering, let's get into the idea! Usually I would write this out as a fanfiction, but I have a nasty habit of writing a chapter or two and then never finishing it (R.I.P my Undertale x Phantom of the Opera, Harry Potter x Drowsy Chaperone, and Harry Potter x Dolls of New Albion AU fanfics), so this time I'm just going to write out the whole timeline/idea in bullet points and half sentences.
The Cast
Chell as Rachael: our protagonists have to stick together! Also, in the original Atompunk Opera, Rachael is the one who escapes the asylum, learns about the past, and eventually goes free in Elysium (and is really the only one who does so). It kind of fits. Chell is believed by Rattmann to be Cave Johnson’s reincarnation. She’s not, though; she’s no one’s reincarnation, at least not from this universe.
The Companion Cube as the Mascot 3000: this one has changed since the original comic, and even since I first started writing this post. Originally, I had set GLaDOS as the Mascot because of the song from Act 4, but given the differences between Mascot and GLaDOS (personality and role-wise), that didn’t really work. My next thought was to have it be Wheatley, since the Mascot is Rachael's guide throughout the opera, and Wheatley is Chell's guide (originally). But that doesn’t work great either given the second half of Portal 2. I settled on the Companion Cube because a) the Mascot 3000 is given to Rachael by Connor, who I’ve made Doug in this version, b) the Mascot yearns for companionship and people to go on adventures with, and c) Rachael and the Mascot go off together to explore at the end of the atompunk opera. Unlike the atompunk opera characters, though, they're not half-siblings. Or, uh, Chell's not the non-reincarnation of its half-sibling. Whatever. It’s confusing.
Doug Rattmann as Connor: although he may or not be old enough to fulfill this kind of role following the canon Portal timeline (which is super duper confusing anyway), I figured he was kind of perfect for this role. Connor is originally an employee of Arcadia Corp., the Voodoopunks’ science company, is against their AI experiments (for him, though, it's because they're using his toddler child), and frees Rachael from the asylum. Or helps, at least. It's unclear. He also uses the radio (through Lee's song) to communicate to Rachael, whom he assumes is Adrian's reincarnation. In this AU, Rattmann fills many of the same roles: an Aperture employee who doesn’t agree with all they do, who aids the protagonist and, while not the primary culprit behind its use, is at least somewhat associated with the radio. He helps free Chell from her confinement, sends her on her way with the Companion Cube, and is trying to rescue Caroline from Elysium, I guess. (It’s a bit ironic, though, because in order to do that, Caroline will have to be uploaded into an AI—as was the plan for Lee in the original opera—thus becoming GLaDOS.)
Caroline as Adrian: I kept going back and forth as to whether Caroline should be Lee or Adrian, but settled on this, I guess—but modified a little bit. She went through the portal into Elysium along with Cave. She was killed basically immediately, and reincarnated into… Doug, I think? However, Doug thinks that she is the one in Elysium who is still alive—not Cave—and wants to save her. He doesn’t know she’s gone.
Cave Johnson as Lee: I don’t have a very good description here. He’s the one in Elysium using the radio to communicate out with a song, but I guess unlike in the Atompunk Opera it might just be like the Still Alive instrumental thing and that’s why Doug doesn’t know it’s Cave who’s still there and not Caroline.
Aperture Science as Arcadia Corp.: a given, I suppose. Instead of working on GLaDOS as a solution to Cave's moon rock poisoning, they just kind of try to shoehorn themselves into Elysium. I mean, they do work on AI for a while (hence the existence of Wheatley), but it's kind of a complicated mess, and then they realize "ooh, portals," and try to make one into the world of the dead. IDK, maybe they think that going there will make them immortal: "This illness can't kill me if I'm already dead, dammit!"
The Plot (kind of)
Alright, I’ll level with you—I started writing this like a year ago and now I don’t remember what I was doing with this at all, but I wanted to at least post what I had written. Anyway, I do know that in my mind this AU basically just followed the plot of the New Albion Guide to Analogue Consciousness, so what I’m gonna do is summarize song by song, I guess.
New Albion 9: Don’t worry about it. It’s the expositional worldbuilding song and we don’t care about it in this context.
Rachael: Somewhere in Aperture, Chell awakens. She escapes from where she has been confined or whatever and starts trying to find her way up and out. I think the backstory here was that Portal 1 wasn’t really a thing (b/c GLaDOS doesn’t exist rn); the scientists were re-focusing their energies on Project Elysium (getting into Elysium to live there/have Cave go there/whatever) instead of the handheld portal device, but they figured they’d need test subjects at some point and put her in long-term relaxation. Since many of the scientists died in the migration (also in whatever legal action was taken against them), no one was left to reawaken her except like… Doug, but that took a little while.
Introducing the Mascot 3000: Chell runs into Rattmann, who gives her the Companion Cube to guide her. It’s a little more sentient than usual in this version, or maybe Chell is hallucinating as a result of whatever soup of chemicals they had her on in long-term relaxation. She continues on.
The Shopogopolis: Aperture is Aperture, so there’s still things out there that could kill her—whether it be rogue AI, turrets, or the stray employees left (she doesn’t want them to know she’s out b/c they might put her back into LTR)—so while she isn’t hiding in one place like Rachael, she is sneaking around, trying to figure out what to do next.
What the Trite and Banal Say: Chell and the Companion Cube follow a rogue radio signal. It leads them to the back offices, where Rattmann is waiting for them. He wants to tell/show them a little bit about what has happened over the years in Aperture, maybe the Companion Cube has the capacity to show them, maybe not.
New Albion 8: Also exposition, but basically Aperture Science is as twisted as ever, but with an extra layer—this would bring us back in time first to describe Aperture’s golden days, then the goals of Project Elysium and how things were in the company right before they actually completed that—they’re convinced it’s a great idea to go there, because if Cave is already there, then by some twisted logic he won’t be able to die or whatever. Or maybe he just wants control over the dying.
Kyrie: I don’t know, this kind of describes the plot too. Cave is really talking up the whole plan, even though it’s probably not a great idea.
Connor: Doug Rattmann gets an aria to explain his reservations, I guess. He’s not romantically involved with Caroline like Connor is with his unnamed wife, but he is just as disillusioned with the company he’s working for and their goals.
The Lovers: Idk. This would be where Cave and Caroline are having a dialogue about the whole plan but I’m not sure it would be in the same style or of the same flavor.
The Deceit: I’m cutting this one, it isn’t needed here. But Rattmann is planning on sabotaging the operation IG.
The Voodoopunks’ Ascension: Kind of the same as the original. They’re crossing over.
Ark 1: The scientists who are still in Aperture (who didn’t go over) are checking in on the groups (who are Not Doing Well); Rattmann has ratted them out to the authorities or whatever for something illegal (cause there’s a lot of potential things that they could be reported for aside from, you know, trying to cross the bridge into the land of the dead). They shut things down (on the surface level; there’s still stuff going on in the lower levels and in the relaxation centers that no one finds). Rattmann did not realize that Caroline had gone with the group into Elysium and his plan had banked on her still being around to run the company.
Elysium 1: in the opera, this is just some vague commentary. We don’t really need it here.
Postcards from Perdition Trail: the Aperture folks who went through before Doug ratted them out are stuck in Elysium now, and it’s Bad for the same reason as in the Atompunk Opera. It’s not great being Alive in the land of the dead because the creatures will kill you.
Lee: Cave sings his musings on the situation and the loss of Caroline (who was killed by the creatures and thus reincarnated into Chell IG(but not really; if we’re following the Atompunk Opera to the letter, then technically Caroline would have reincarnated into… Doug?).
Rachael Returns and The Moth: Chell and the Companion Cube arrive in Elysium. It was at this point in my writing that I switched Cave to being Lee and Caroline to being Adrian, so if there’s inconsistencies in my writing, that's why. Anyway Doug has that personal interest in saving Caroline—but she died. He did not know Caroline was killed but knows Chell is special. When Cave hears that someone is coming through, he thinks it’s Caroline reincarnate and is disappointed that it’s not her.
The Show No One Saw: Chell is bitter that this whole thing was for nothing—there was no Caroline to save (her mission) AND Cave was very dismissive and rude. She runs.
The Mascot 3000 and In This Episode: The Companion Cube gets some songs explaining its origin and drive for, well, companionship. (They ARE sentient, you know.)
The Rescue Plan, The Creatures Speak, and Lost Night’s Lullabye: Cave confronts Chell like “are you nuts?” thinking the creatures are gonna kill her. The Cube gets everyone’s attention and gives them the choice to either “go through the gate” and reincarnate OR be put into a robot body back in Aperture. If Caroline was still there, they’d have told her she HAS to upload but she’s dead. Cave is going to upload himself but gets killed. Those who want to are uploaded (minus Cave). Chell stays in Elysium with the Cube—symbolically, she’s already dead.
Connor Reprise: Doug waits indefinitely for Chell, Caroline, and the Companion Cube as the other Aperture folks upload.
New Albion 10: Narration to say goodbye.
