          BORN IN SPA, Belgium, to a Belgian father and Japanese mother, Florence was exposed to motorsport from an early age. Growing up in the shadow of the iconic Spa-Francorchamps circuit, she began karting at the age of six. Florence quickly made a name for herself in the Belgian and European karting scenes, claiming multiple national titles and finishing runner-up in the CIK-FIA European Karting Championship in 2019. Afternoons in the sleepy town of Westview were very often uneventful.

A gentle breeze carded through the curtains, ruffling the papers on the table, eviction notice included. The birds twittered faintly outside, along the cars which rolled past with a steady, quiet rumble. The windchimes jingled softly, caught in the wind's dance, the suncatchers on the windows casting tiny rainbows on the hardwood floors.

The kettle rattled as you kept an eye on it like Lilia had asked. Beside it, a pot stood full of dinner--contents of it long gone cold.

Through the quaint shop in the front, you heard a jingle. You reached up and switched off the kettle, following Lilia as she took her place through the beaded curtain.

The front room, or, the shop, was lit with candles, Lilia's magic keeping them from overheating the place. The scent of essential oils and incense was strong, but comforting. You took your place beside the nearby shelves, ready to help Lilia.

"Welcome to the curious," she said mystically as two people--a boy and a woman who had a strange energy around her. You didn't like it. Or rather it took you longer than usual to get used to it.

"Good day, madam," said the woman in a thick Southern accent. "Oh, thank you so much for seein' us,"

"You look strange," you admitted, coming up to her and touching her shawl.

"Y/n, sweet little, if you could please step away," Lilia smiled, noting the look of scorn and disgust on Agatha's face as she yanked the shawl out of your grasp. Trying to quell the situation, she added, "Don't mind my apprentice, she is young, a bit too curious sometimes,"

"That'll get her in a few spats," Agatha muttered, hissing at you like a cat, making you frown.

"Y/n, can you go out back, find me my special deck of tarot cards?” Lilia smiled, looking at you pointedly.

You nodded immediately, rushing out back to find the special deck--the one which felt like her, the one which made you feel safe.

"Miss L--huh?" You skipped back to the reading room, to find her nowhere to be seen.

You heard pained yelling from the kitchen and saw her--golden aura around her head like a halo, making you concerned. You hurried over, tugging at her sleeve for her attention.

"Miss Lilia," you whispered, poking her slightly. "It's just your mind, it's making up silly stuff,"

She took a deep breath, smiling down at you. "You're such a darling, sweet little," she chuckled.

"So you’re a bit of a kook. Every witch has their process," Agatha butted in. "You showed some real skill out there,"

"I didn’t read your fortune. I read your reputation," Lilia said, turning to her, placing a hand on your chest to push you behind her protectively. "Witches like you are the reason people think we poison apples, and steal children, and eat babies,"

"You eat babies, Miss Lilia?" You gasped, looking up at her, tiny brows furrowed with worry.

Her nose scrunched a bit as she smiled and shook her head. "No, sweet little, I don't,"

"I do," said Agatha. "Babies are delicious,"

"Ugh," Lilia groaned, going over to the stove to start with dinner.

You went over to Agatha where she sat on the sofa, poking at her inquisitively. "I've never met a baby-eating witch before..."

The chaos witch made a face at you. Despite her ease around children, you made her regret ever having an affinity towards them. "No, shoo, get away," she said, flicking your nose.

"Ow!" You exclaimed, pushing her shoulder.

"Y/n," Lilia warned without turning around. "What did I say about space?"

Agatha made that hissing noise at you again, which you countered with a blown raspberry before you stood next to Lilia again.

"How old are you? 410? 415?" Agatha asked, giving the older witch a once-over.

She turned sharply, offended. "How dare you?"

"Oh, I apologize," she chuckled in return. "You don’t look a day under 450,"

"Years old?" Teen asked, baffled.

"Mhm, Miss Lilia is very old," you nodded at him, which earned you a sharp but gentle smack upside the head.

"You get, what, maybe two suckers a day in here, and 20 bucks later, you’re sitting on a bed that’s also your wall," Agatha pointed out, her hand gesturing at the bed you and LIlia shared. Which, to be honest, was indeed a bed that was also a wall.

Agatha stood up, trying her hardest to convince her. "Don’t you miss the glory days?"

"When I was chased out of every village I passed through for accurately predicting tragedy?" Lilia asked, heading towards the kitchen. "No, I do not. Beat it, Harkness,"

"Yeah, beat it, Harkness," you said, crossing your arms to give Agatha a once-over.

"Tell your familiar to watch it," Agatha snapped.

"Absolutely not, you heard her," Lilia scoffed. "Beat it,"

"I’m gonna walk The Road," she finally admitted.

"The Road is a death wish,"

"I survived,"

"Yeah? Where’s your power now?"

A beat passed. She'd hit a nerve.

"Time to restock," she countered finally. "I need a Divination Witch,"

"Are you honestly asking me to coven up with the single most infamous witch on this continent?" Lilia laughed.

"Oh, please. Name a badder bitch in South America, or Europe," Teen said, crossing his arms.

Lilia gave him a look, scrutinising him. "Who is this child?"

Before he could reply, Agatha butted in. "My pet. This is my pet. Say hi, pet,"

Looking like he'd have rather swallowed nails, he sighed, "Hi,"

"Hi, pet!" You smiled, giving him a high-five.

"Y/n, sweet little, why don't you go play outside?" Lilia asked, patting your head gently, her gaze fixated on Agatha's.

You huffed, but nevertheless obeyed, grabbing a stick to play with as you went outside of the shop to play in the empty street outside.

Eventually, Agatha left with a disgruntled hiss at you, which you again countered with a raspberry, stomping back inside.

The candles were dimmed, and there came the sounds of Lilia singing soft Sicilian love songs in the kitchen. The pot bubbled, the refrigerator hummed, the lights buzzed and flickered.

"Sweet little, would you be a dear and set the table for me, please?" Lilia asked with a soft smile, turning to you, her song ceasing momentarily.

You nodded, grabbing the plate for yourself and placing it on the table. You sensed a variation in her energy, and asked, "Miss Lilia, why was Miss Harkness asking about the Witch's Road?"

Lilia paused, plating up the pasta she'd made. Her expression was thoughtful as she sat, handing you a fork.

"Well...Miss Agatha needs me for a sort of...plan that she has," she explained as you started to eat.

"Why does she need you?" You asked, swinging your legs a little as you ate happily.

Lilia's heart swelled--such an adorable thing you were, and she'd have to leave it behind. She didn't want to, but she had to.

"The process to begin the plan involves me, sweet little," she said, standing up as you did, too, plate in hand.

"You're super important then," you said, yawning a little. Afternoon nap time.

"Mhm," she hummed, scooping you up in her arms, grinning aas you squealed. "Super important,"

"I think that's so cool, Miss Lilia," you giggled softly.

"Problem is, sweet little, I'll be gone for some time," she whispered, laying down with you in bed, you flat on your b ack while she lay on her side, head propped up on her fist.

Your heart stopped. "G-Gone?" You whimpered, hand coming up to grip her shawl. "I don't want you gone,"

Her heart broke. "I know my little dove," she said, stroking your hair soothingly. "But I'll be back before you know it, I promise."

"No, no, no," you shook your head, tears streaming down your soft cheeks. "You're not gonna go!"

Lilia was quick to pull you close, your head on her chest as she soothed you by rubbing your back in gentle circles. "I have to go, sweet little, but don't fret, I'll come back..."

"But--but--" you began to protest, but her voice was firm.

"I will return to you," she said. "Have I ever broken my promise?"

You sniffled and shook your head. "N-No, Miss Lilia,"

"Have I ever lied?" She asked, making you face her, one hand wiping your tears.

You shook your head again. "N-No, Miss Lilia..."

"Precisely," she chuckled, kissing your forehead. "I'll come back to you, I promise,"

You nodded, eyes drooping as she rocked you to sleep, your worries washing away slowly as the tide of drowsiness dragged them away. One thought was what kept you content, one simple thought.

She'll come back to you.

"alright, guys, i had fun today," you spoke to the camera.

it was your turn to film for fimlog. you loved this series, having a knack for filmmaking yourself, but man was it tiring having to film yourself.

dressed in your favorite set of pajamas, barefaced with your glasses resting on your nose bridge, you gave a tired smile to the camera that you had facing your bed. "i'm going to sleep, good night, fearnot!" you greeted before ending the video. you then changed the video setting to "timelapse" and started recording again before settling in the comfort of your own bed, book in hand.

you never got rest like this often. being a member of one of the hottest girl groups in the business, you'd be lucky if you even had the energy to change out of your clothes from the day -- that's how busy you guys were.

then again, that's the price you pay in exchange for living the dream.

seeing the fans, travelling the world, and doing what you love with the people you love made everything worth it in the end.

that doesn't mean the road here was easy, though.

between sleepless nights, bouts of insecurity, and thoughts of giving up, a certain someone was with you through all of it. the same someone who was knocking on your door and peaking her head through the crack she made.

you perked up from your book at the sound and were greeted with the sight of your groupmate -- huh yunjin. a smile easily took over your features as you locked eyes with the girl.

"am i disturbing anything?" she asked, ever the gentlewoman.

at your permission, she opened the door to reveal one of your favorite sides of her -- jenjen, the girlfriend. she looks so small with how her hoodie and pajamas seem to be swallowing her whole. she shuffled her feet towards the foot of your bed before climbing on and laying on top of you, forcing you to put your book down beside you and wrap your arms around her waist.

"i didn't know being your bed was part of my job description."

"you should've read the fine print," she tsked, resting her chin on your chest to look up at you. you rolled your eyes at her antics. she stuck her tongue out at you. all was right with the world.

"how've you been today?" you asked.

"same old, same old. i had a bad day today, though," she sighed. you raised your eyebrows in surprise, ready to listen to whatever had her down in the dumps (and maybe beat a few people up -- only if necessary, though). the look on your face makes her chuckle.

"i didn't see you at all today, that's why," she says with a pout.

"yah, you had me worried!"

"i'm being serious though. you've been so busy, lately," she sighs.

you frowned at the girl. deep in thought, your eyebrows unconsciously furrowed until you came up with a plan.

"why don't we go out tomorrow?"

"what've you got in mind?"

"whatever your little heart desires, jen," you whispered to her, hearts in your eyes.

the hold this girl had on you was insane.

you wouldn't have it any other way, though.

"is that so?" she whispers, seemingly inching up to steal a kiss (or two. or five.), but not before you could stop her.

"jen, as much as i'd love to make out with you right now, my phone's been time-lapsing all of this, so..." you trailed off.

"oh." she muttered, her cheeks dusted pink.

you chuckled at the turn of events before giving her a peck on the forehead and moving the girl so that she was beside you. once she settled on your side, she rested her head right above your heart and wrapped her limbs around you, the steady beating of your heart grounding her and lulling her to sleep.

Everyone was talking about what a great team you and Steve were and the missions to overthrow HYDRA so far, even though you had lost Bucky.

With this latest mission, you were hoping to finally get to the Red Skull; however, you had a feeling that a group of Hydra agents surrounded you and Steve. The last thing you remembered was seeing Steve's shield, and then everything went dark; you didn't know for how long.

Steve entered Fury's office with a serious look on his face. He found it odd that he was being called urgently.

“We think we've found Y/N," Nick said bluntly.

“Excuse me?“ Steve was skeptical; his last few days had been a bit strange, and the last thing he needed was a joke.

Nick proceeded to explain that they weren't sure it was you since everything seemed to indicate that they had tried to weaponize you to serve Hydra.

Steve looked at you, waiting for you to wake up. He didn't know how he was going to explain everything that had happened all those years ago.

“Steve... You died, didn't you? Or so I heard." Your voice sounded confused as if you didn't know what had happened to you.

Steve made a huge effort to smile. Even though he wanted to cry, he had already been told about all the modifications HYDRA had made to you to turn you into another one of her killing machines.

...I just remembered I wanted to make my own statement on the AI thing. ^^;

So you've probably heard, but in case you haven't: Tumblr just sold out everyone's data to the AI trash compactors, they probably did it long before they gave us the option to opt out, and even if you do opt out they're probably still taking and using your work anyway (telling people to opt out instead of actually asking for their permission is already scummy business practice, but when it comes to AI it's functionally meaningless. :/ It's always "well, we're telling them not to use these people's data and we're hoping they'll be nice and go along with it" with no regulations or consequences if they decide to just steal everything indiscriminately...)

Despite that, I am not leaving Tumblr anytime soon. I'm looking into other sites*, but at this moment in time, I have nowhere else to go. ^^; Besides, I still like it here. When I left DeviantArt I was already getting sick of the place, having my art stolen regularly by "fans" and paradoxically getting less and less interest in my work over time. By the time the devs turned the website into eye-blinding slop with Eclipse, I was more than ready to move on.

But I still enjoy using Tumblr. I like writing long text posts that no one would bother to read anywhere else, I like answering asks, and I like the unique sense of humor and style among the users here. ^^ It would take a lot to force me out.

Also, I can take a little solace in the fact that AI-bros do not value "low-quality" art like mine. ^^; If messy cel-shaded sketches with visible pixels ever become popular, then I'll worry, but for now I think it's highly unlikely that anyone will want to wholesale regurgitate my art. If anything, I think prioritizing it in their datasets would only make them worse...and on that note, if you do have "high quality" detailed/painterly/semi-realistic art that would be targeted, I'd recommend 'poisoning' it with Nightshade/Glaze. Although I heard a rumor a while back that AI is "building immunity" to Nightshade and already learning to work around it, but I'm really hoping that was just a wishful lie from the trash compactors themselves. I haven't heard it repeated since then, so I think it's still worth a shot. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

So anyway, like the post I reblogged said, I think the best thing we can do now is to make it clear that WE DON'T WANT AI ART. We don't care how easy it'll be to instantly generate thousands of hours of mindless 'content' to look at; we don't want it. Since regulation is lagging so far behind (wanna know why Disney's copyright hounds didn't shut this down on sight? Most likely, they're hoping to profit from it down the line) the only way to fight this right now is with individual litigation and consumer demand.

Don't support projects made with AI**; don't hate-watch them or spotlight them. Focus your energy on the millions of human artists who are still here, and need your support now more than ever.

*I've heard people mention moving to Twitter and/or Artstation: fam, you're jumping out of the frying pan and into the fire. ^^;;; IIRC, Arstation was one of the FIRST art sites to start flirting with AI, and Twitter has been selling off its users' data for several months already. Go there if you must, but don't go under the impression that it's "safer".

**Please keep a cool head when discussing AI art, and keep in mind that it used to mean something other than "mass theft". Artists have and still do create AI tools that are built on limited data sets with permission/compensation, that are used to aid them in their work and encourage human artistry (Vocaloids and DAW's, for instance) rather than stamp it out. Until a specific word evolves into popular use for exploitative AI, we're kinda stuck with this confusion, so remember to get the facts before you speak out.

Last Movie: so. we have the movie adaptations of the magic boarding school books by the transphobic author on dvd (from when they were coming out; these dvds are old as shit, they still have some of the "people aren't quite sure what's supposed to be on a DVD"-ness of early DVDs) and sometimes watch them while ranting about ways they could be better stories. so the third movie of that is the last thing i watched.

Last TV Show: ummm… probably agatha christie's poirot? the show with david suchet? also on dvd. but it's been long enough that there's uncertainty...

Last Thing I Searched Up Online: so the very last thing i searched was a twitter user's handle from a screenshot i saw on tumblr because it looked like a terf handle (the direction of my hunch was right, i'm not sure if they were literally a terf, but their twitter acct was certainly displaying vitriolic transphobia; a tweet of theirs that lacked direct vitriol against trans people was being used as a kind of "it's frustrating that people don't change their minds when presented with evidence!" dunk against terfs and their right-wing allies, but like. the twitter OP's intent recontextualizes it? whatever, didn't wanna get into it with the tumblr OP or the person who put it on the dash so we just let it go), but right before that it was "slow cooker caramelized onions" so that's the kind of whiplash a search history can have 😅

Current Obsession: Slay the Princess. I saw an animation someone made for a line the Opportunist delivers and it made me super interested in the game and now i'm obsessed. mind the trigger warnings (it's a game that benefits from as little spoiling as possible but there's a list of specific triggers on the dev's website if you have anything that might be an issue) but otherwise extremely good, you should very play it.

It's not the overwhelming "Rika is perfect and beloved" narrative. Don't get it wrong. It's the way in contradicts the way I've framed them in my head (which, again, we've established is way off anyway so I don't know why I'm so annoyed). But I want them to all be all the same level. Why is it that Em and Alex and Will and Winter all love Rika, but Banks doesn't feel that same love from them?

In short, this is not the "chosen family" vibe I wanted. And now I'm mad. And sad. I'm Smad.

But like... have nice thoughts about the guy.

I really wish this was the end of it. I wish it ended here with Banks agreeing but letting know Rika she doesn't mind and then they leave as friends with a deeper understanding of each other. Yay.

Knowing Michael (which, again... I don't), he probably got a little kick when talking to Kai, knowing that Rika wanted Banks more than him. He also probably kept it a secret because it fixed the relationship between him and Kai. No reason to be jealous of his best friend when his wife doesn't even want him.

Well... that was something. I kind of feel bad for Kai. Is it just me, or does the line "trying to sort out his feelings" seem like he's not all that into it? I mean, of course he is because PD created him to be, but like... doesn't sound like someone who was positive that what's happening is what he wants.

FebruarOC - Carroway

Everyone's favorite, the babiest Shelby sibling!! Another for the RoomWhere crowd when they were doing their ramp up to the new setting in season 2; it took some googling but I FOUND the system! It is called Spirit of 77and was super fun and funky in a 70's funk sort of way! But we did it in space Appalachia.  

Zach & Jade played the eldest and middle shelby siblings respectively. Carroway was the getaway driver because her motto is "gotta go fast". She is a professional race mech pilot (WELL professional is a loose term I think it's technically illegal) (she has a racer persona as well called White Lightning!) 

As the youngest sibling, she didn't know her parents all that well, and shortly after they died her brother Samson got arrested and went away to planet jail for a long time so she just has these mythical images of her family in her mind, the way that they were always talked about giving themselves to the cause etc, and the only one she was really close to was Cooper. But because of that, and growing up in a setting where people had more important things than her to worry about (you know, like revolution), she grew into a really wild child. To the point where she was basically a thrill seeker (her Buzz in game was Thrills: "gain experience in any session where you do something just to see if you can succeed"). 

No one could stop her, so she just went. 

So we stole a mech, in this lead-up game or w/e it's been years I can't really remember the details, and we might have Made Some Noise whoops. I do remember we had a space pick-up truck, that Carroway ISN'T allowed to drive because it is Coop's, but she had her own mech for back-up/distraction to help the pick-up truck haul ass out of there. 

The Shelby's returned in the campaign proper in which we played a combo of Beam Saber and Scum & Villainy (if I remember correctly??) They needed to get to a fancy party for this really famous war profiteer in order to steal something for our crew, so Carroway used her racing persona to finagle an invitation (I think Coop was her "bodyguard" or something, they ditched her pretty early to go infiltrate, and Samson got a job as security for the party), and midway through the party we ran into the the actual crew, and thus the stories combined! 

During that heist, it turned into kind of a mess, and Samson got arrested again, and Carroway was PISSED. 

In the end, I don't think Carroway was a good fit for the way the story was going, partly because I was just so removed from the plot of the campaign (I didn't have time or brainpower to listen to the podcast), and Carroway's major takeaway from all of it was just "Fuck y'all and fuck the war" because it ruined her family and it ruined her childhood in a way that the other characters couldn't connect with -- they were all older, and were actively committed to the cause and participated in the war, but Carroway was between 18 (in spirit of 77) and like 23 TOPS by the end of it. And because there were just so many people at the table between the core cast + the Shelbys, it was real hard to get a word in edgewise (for me) and Carroway just simply couldn't bond with any of the others when her siblings did. 

Still, I love her a lot, she was bratty but loved her siblings fiercely and was Real Good at running away from her problems because boy she could run VERY FAST (in a race mech).

i'm sure you're soooo over author/agent drama, but there's been more, and honestly, i'm freaked out. i feel like a lot of agents close to mine (not my agent but in the same circle) have been making some bad calls and getting trashed online, and it's making me worry something bad will happen for my agent/agency. am i being unreasonable? should i be worried?

A LOT of agents? Yikes. I did log on to Xitter just to see what the drama was this time, and I saw something about ONE agent, so I don't know about LOTS.

Long story very short, and what I presume you are talking about, this weekend an agent did a terribly ill-considered tweet basically saying that they loved the premise of some query but didn't love the material, and would love a story like that if somebody else wanted to write it. Which is a bonkers thing to tweet -- first, because the smallest child should realize that would be insulting as hell to the author whose work with that premise you JUST TURNED DOWN -- but also, because it makes YOU look like you are an idea-thief encouraging idea-thievery.

Naturally, the writers of Xitter took umbrage and had themselves a dog-pile, the agent deactivated their account, and by the end of the day, the agency announced that agent had been fired. Meanwhile, there are a ton of agitated writers talking about "toxic and predatory agents" and how "this is so typical of agents" etc -- which just ISN'T TRUE, actually.

I would say that this is not an example of a schmagent, or predator -- it's an example of somebody whose brain was on vacation while their fingers were working overtime. Agents should not be talking about queries publicly at all, and should CERTAINLY not be insulting queriers -- it's hard as hell to write a book, and it's brave as hell to put your work out there!

That being said, I don't really buy the "idea thievery" of it all -- they gave general comps in their tweet, not any kind of specifics; if you gave 30 writers the same comps, you'd come up with 30 different works. LOTS of books have the same comps or similar premises and in fact are totally different from one another. Authors put their own premises and comps on twitter all the time, and don't seem too worried that somebody is going to steal them. ALSO, If an agent were TRYING to idea-thief, they wouldn't do it on twitter, they'd do it under cover of night. But hey -- it's for sure not great.

Here's the thing, though. OK actually multiple things:

a) The agency in question is a reputable agency with great agents and amazing clients, and they took decisive action pretty much the moment they realized an agent of theirs EFFED UP, which is far from an easy thing to do. I don't know the agent in question, but the boss is my friend -- but even if she weren't, I'd know she's a GREAT AGENT with GREAT CLIENTS, and pretty much a walking green flag.

b) This comment was careless, yes. Ill-considered, certainly. EVIL, probably not. But in any event, it's truly NOT reflective of how most agents think or behave.

c) twitter is not the real world -- long-term, this will not be likely to have a negative effect on the agency's ability to make great deals or anything else. The authors who just had their agent vanish will continue to either be supported by other agents at the agency, or they will find other agents quickly if they decide to leave. The other authors repped by the agency will, I'd assume, remain loyal to their fine agents who had nothing to do with anything. The agency, then, will continue to have good agents, good clients, and work with good publishers, and this rough weekend will be in the rearview except for maybe now and again some twitter snark that most people will not even understand because the origin of it will be forgotten and most people aren't on twitter, actually. Perhaps most importantly,

d) Dumb internet comments are not contagious.

If you are happily agented, I see zero reason you need to concern yourself about what internet buffoonery MIGHT happen. It probably won't happen! And if something unforeseen and weird ever DID happen with an agent at your agency, I would hope that the agency would handle it with grace and you'd be affected as little as possible. I just don't think that's something you need to worry about, there's enough to worry about IRL without INVENTING bad scenarios!

This is going to sound like gatekeeping and I probably should not say it but here goes: I think Raxy should not play any of the other Fire Emblem. It's clear that he hates the medieval tropes that Fire Emblem entails, not to mention the human and dragon co-existence message which conflicts with his HFY desires. At this point, if he's going to shit on the entire franchise because it's not like his pwecious C//F, he's going to make a total ass of himself.

Frankly, Idk too much about the Raxy guy but the main question I ask myself is whether or not he acts like that in every fandom he is in or only in the Fire emblem since you don't necessarily have the same discussion/contribution to a fandom depending on the media cause if he is like that for every fandom he partakes in ... yeah...

I haven't intereacted too much with the guy but the little I saw made it very unengaging for me to see his content. And at the risk of comming off as snobbish, he doesn't seem to understand how media analysis works or to respect fandom etiquette. I mean, I blocked him on tumblr all to find him responding to me on twitter about a post claiming and I quote : "There is a clear wealth disparity problem between the royals and their citizens that should be adressed; perhaps Celine shouldnt be praised for sending death squads after people who steal food when she lives in a giant more luxurious version of Mont Saint-Michel" about Céline and Alear's A support.

When I challenged him to find me any canonical evidence that the theives we fight in chapter 6, paralogue 2 and that the higwaymen in Céline's/Alear support were practicing banditry because they were poor and starving, he didn't gave me a single answer. He claimed that the fact that there was one main story chapter, one paralogue and one support chain was enough to say that Firene has a problem with banditry and therefore is built on a flawed economic that creates wealth disparity problem when Solm has more chapter with banditry and that we are essentially talking about a franchise where there is bandits in EVERY game, and for literaly no reasons. They are just there burning village for fun. Kostas is literaly the only bandit that have a plot relevance lasting past 1 chapter.

And that's not all. When he and some mutuals of him claimed that Eddie's real plan in sending Kostas to kill Dima and Claude was actually to just scare off the new teacher, he and his mutuals never answered my simple request or providing me an explicit quote from in game of Eddie making such a declaration.

Or that one time when he tried to prove that the twist in chapter 10 of Engage failed arguing that the only way for Alear and co to escape the cathedral was to never enter... ignoring that at that time Alear still had the dragonic crystal so they could have rewinded or could have break out the door since they still had the Emblems when this scene was actually to built up Alear falling into the sins of hatred and pride, 2 sins in buddhism.

I also have been hearing tales of him blocking evading or having his friends go to blog that blocked him so that he could sporke it etc.

So yeah, that doesn't give a good look at all. Really.

But since I never went too much from his blog I can't tell if he is a 3H baby, or an Awakening baby or a Fe7 baby or an ancient (there for the first game ever) since I know a lot of people didn't like Engage because it was different from 3H who gave them expectation when 3H is the outlier of the franchise, and as you point out, CF is probably the most Anti-Fe a route can get. That a game not really keen on being accurate about medieval setting or the source of banditry etc. isn't that surprising, heck even 3H isn't that derogatory to that rule when all ending in 3H ends up with different models of monarchy. And I agree, if he sees dragon as evil, better drop Fire Emblem since the humanity and dragon can co-exist thing was already there since Fe1, Naga and Tiki being supporting role for Marth.

6.4 Tataru's Grand Endeavor Thoughts

I'm not usually the type to share my thoughts on media so soon after consuming it because how I feel is usually just that - feelings, not thoughts - but I feel compelled to share how I felt for anyone who's curious. So I figured I'd think about it some and post what I decided here - posting on twitter before the embargo drops means jumping through annoying spoiler hoops like rot13 etc. Anyway here we go.

I'm not the kind of person who takes screenshots while I go through content for the first time. I find it distracting and cumbersome to look out for Photo Moments and capture them when my character isn't blinking or something. I'd rather focus entirely on what's going on. So I don't have many pictures to go with this, sorry!

I thought the premise of the conflict was neat enough. Like, someone stealing a giant mech? Oh boy, I wonder what's going to be the deal there. But I didn't like the Valens lookalike thing. It felt really... cheap. Like you bought a nice dress at the store but you need to buy one more thing to get a discount so you pick out something ratty and inexpensive but fine, and now you have them both, for better or worse. I was really hoping when Gaius struck him down that he had passed unilateral judgment upon him and killed him outright for the trouble. But New Gaius wouldn't do something like that, of course.

I enjoyed his characterization still. The writers didn't have him depart from his severe and even nature, his frank way of speaking. I was terrified that they would throw a curve ball at me that screamed "You've been doing it wrong for half a million words!!" but that didn't happen. I don't know why I worried. (I do know why. It's because I worry about everything.)

The painting was nice. Like a few other bits, I'll have to make adjustments to fit my canon when I write this in, since in my work Allie carries the memory core in a hip satchel made by Cid at nearly all times, which means it couldn't have been used by surprise to create the projection. I could take this opportunity to let her detach herself from it a little, though. Much to decide.

Gaius' (badly paraphrased) "words are hard sometimes, thanks a bunch" remark near the end really warmed my heart.

Overall it was okay. I didn't come out of it sobbing or overjoyed or anything but I did come out of it relieved that nothing overtly bad happened. Relief colors the whole experience; I anticipated the patch as one anticipates a blow to the body, not knowing where the strike would land. And I left 6.4 Tataru's Grand Endeavor feeling as though nothing had hit me after all.

I'm looking forward to trying to twist the story to maybe be something better than what it was, especially with my canon of tensions between Garlean refugees, Ala Mhigan Resistance soldiers, and Werlyt troops. Maybe the one who steals the mech won't be a Valens lookalike at all... maybe the nature of the theft will be dramatically different. We'll see.

As our supreme director says, please look forward to it.

PS: Gaius has a new idle after the quest is over where he is engrossed in a book, one leg folded over the other. It's adorable. Thank you for this food, devs.

If you are, well, be glad you don't know. But I'll give you a basic summary for future reference just in case you end up needing it.

TLDR; Between 2018 and 2019, a bunch of toxic pieces of shit (some of them weren't even fans of Sean to begin with) made blogs for pussy ass loser anons to spread hate and straight-up rumors about Sean, his girlfriend, Robin, his friends, his content, and other community members. They were called "tea blogs" as in "spill the tea." For some fucking reason they became a mini trend to the point where I even came across Markiplier tea blogs. All these tea blogs were a cesspool of ""hot takes"" that were garbage, nitpicky bullshit that spread so much anon hate, negativity, and drama that a huge chunk of JSEblr left the platform completely (most went to Twitter afaik) or just stopped posting and lurked.

Those of us who didn't leave, like me, got stalked by the (so it seems) ringleader of them all and regularly got harassed in our asks by random anons who were usually sent by the ringleader. They were constantly watching my blog, vagueposting about me, sending me anons and gloating about how I couldn't block them because they had multiple blogs, etc. Someone, I don't think it was the ringleader but someone, made a sideblog stealing at profile pic at the time, editing clown shit over it, called the URL "clownnn" or something like that and it was literally a hate blog just. Meant for me purely because I kept vocally and aggressively condemning the tea blogs and their followers.

It genuinely traumatized some community members, and at the very least they instilled a reflex in us to assume asks meant we were getting harassed by someone. To this day anytime I get a random ask, I immediately assume some rando has sent me hate for one reason or another, whether its related to those blogs or some other post I made ages ago.

The ringleader is still active, but I'm pretty sure they've mostly switched from harassing Sean's community to Ethan's. Or someone else's. I don't know, don't wanna find out, and am hoping talking about this doesn't lure them back to my blog because god only knows if those douchebags are still lurking around. 🙃

Now, the thing is, twitter is at least the most basic rp friendly. And I know that sounds weird, but of all the sites I've rped on, it's the easiest for banter and for figuring out if you like/want to rp with someone.

No complex cards, no weird formatted blogs, all you need is like a pinned tweet and a header and you should basically know what you're looking for. It's so much easier than having to search through someone's card and weird formatting, playing I Spy to find someone's rules or what muses they write.

Of every site I've rped on, twitter was easiest to just jump into things. No major time commitment, no major risk. No worrying that people would find your quick introduction banter to be lacking effort, because everyone had the same limitations. And of course, circles were great and you could keep all the nsfw or private stuff for your friends there, something tumblr should implement, imo. Circles was a genuinely good idea I'm shocked they didn't steal.

And honestly, when tumblr instituted it's porn ban and there was uncertainty, Twitter was the only other game in town. Like, discord is great privately. But discord mass groups are a shitshow, and it's impossible to easily find new friends there because that's not what the platform is for. Facebook too, simply isn't made for rping. It's not structured correctly for it.

Twitter was, not that it was intentionally made that way. It simply meant that you could write easily, and when they doubled the character count per tweet, you could more easily write there. It was casual, it was relaxed, it wasn't a place where you felt pressured by people's weird obsession with formatting and arcane rules you didn't understand.

Was it as good as tumblr? no, not really. But it wasn't the worst. It was passible. It was neutral. It was something you could use without hating it.

That's gone now. And I hope people return to tumblr. But I also don't entirely expect people to do so.
