1. When Derek hands out candy to kids on Halloween before (sometimes) scaring them away by wolfing out 2. When Scott once asked if Millenium Falcons were native to California and Derek just went really quiet before needing to leave the room because, quote, 'I have neither the patience nor the crayons to explain this to you' 3. When Derek wears shirts or sweaters with thumb holes 4. Whenever Derek has to send an email and writes the entire message in the subject line 5. When Derek texts 'You are' instead of 'ur' and ends every text with a period 6. When Stiles is breaking down the research he's found in a frenetic whirlwind and Derek easily follows along 7. When Derek has three copies of all of his books: one for casual reading, one for notes and highlighting favorite sections, and one kept in a lock box for safekeeping in case of a fire 8. When Derek tells him 'Good job, Stiles' 9. When Derek immediately comes running to help the Sheriff when he's called, because the Sheriff has been nothing but nice to Derek and Derek just wants to do a good job 10. When Stiles asks what Derek is reading and Derek will get this little excited look in his eye because he rarely ever gets to talk about really good books to people 11. When Stiles asks how Derek knows what weird sex terms, like 'cucking' for example, mean and Derek just says 'I lived in New York for like five years' while looking at Stiles like that explains everything (which, yeah, it kinda does) (please refer to number 25) 27. When Derek tells him crazy New York stories (like seeing a guy trying to sell used condoms on the subway or watching a 'human statue' street performer not break character even after getting stabbed), with a completely straight face, because 'You just get used to it after awhile' (please refer to number 26) 28. When Stiles learns that Derek is fluent in Spanish, Italian, American Sign Language, and knows 'enough French to get by' 29. When Stiles scritches behind Derek's ears while he's in full-wolf form and his tail can't stop wagging 30. When Stiles realizes the reason Derek had a fake ID and avoided having a job for so long was because no one ever taught Derek how to do his taxes 31. When Derek once said he 'saw a YouTube about that' 32. When Cora tells Stiles that, when they were little, Laura, Derek, and Cora used to always hold hands and walk to school as a chain so that they wouldn't get separated 33. When Liam doesn't question Stiles when he says that Derek is in his 40s and Derek looks honestly horrified because Peter isn't even 40 yet 35. That time Derek threw Peter through a window 36. When Derek says he's against the idea of Santa Claus because it teaches kids to be comfortable with allowing strangers to invade their homes and enforces the idea that kids, whose families can't afford lavish gifts, are inherently bad 38. When Stiles learns that Derek used to feel uncomfortable spending his inheritance money, because it made him feel dirty, but has now gotten to a point where he feels like using his money to help other packs is the best way to honor his family's memory 39. Things that the pack is sick of seeing from two pining dorks:

1. When Stiles drags Scott around the mall for hours to find Derek a birthday/Christmas present and keeps asking 'What do you think of this? Do you think he'll like this?', only to be chastised for saying 'Stiles, I'm sure it's fine', because, quote, 'It can't just be fine, Scott! I'm pretty sure this is the first time anyone's celebrated his birthday in years. It has to be perfect! Not to mention it's also Christmas, so it has to be doubly perfect!' 2. When Lydia comes across the pile of presents in the corner of Stiles' room, just like the one Stiles had once made for her own birthday, complete with another flat screen TV, and realizes that Stiles doesn't even register his own attempt at wooing, even though it's nearly identical to when he had done it to her 3. When Isaac sees Stiles turning around and just barely missing Derek openly staring at him 4. When Derek smells so strongly of sadness and longing and ache that it physically hurts for some members of the pack to be around him sometimes because the smell is so sharp (please refer to number 3) 5. When Scott hears Stiles tell Derek that, after the history he's had with humans, he's surprised Derek hasn't sworn off dating humans altogether, and Derek says 'They're not all bad' with this soft look in his eyes, but then Stiles just laughs and says 'Whatever you say, Big Guy' 6. When Stiles gets seriously hurt and they both end up screaming at each other as Melissa patches Stiles up, with Derek calling Stiles reckless and stupid, instead of Derek just admitting that he was scared out of his mind 7. When Derek gets seriously hurt and, while Deaton is digging out wolfsbane laced shrapnel, Stiles gets in Derek's face about trying to be a martyr, to which Derek asks 'Why do you even care?', and Stiles is quiet for a long while before saying 'I just do' 8. When Malia asks Stiles why he and Derek aren't boning and Stiles has a sputter attack, because 'Wha-why would you think-it's not like that! We're just friends!' 9. When Cora asks Derek if he's gotten with Stiles yet and Derek just says 'I can't.' 10. When Derek agrees to stop tuning in to Stiles' chemosignals to create a safe space for Stiles to be himself, because Derek noticed the pack essentially 'reading his innermost thoughts' was causing Stiles anxiety (especially after having the Nogitsune in his head), thus making pretty much no one but Derek oblivious to Stiles' feelings for him 11. When Stiles walks away, after he sees Braeden talking to Derek, to leave them alone, and, even though Derek pretends not to notice, Braeden can still see Derek's eyebrows furrowing in disappointment 12. When Peter tells Stiles he's looking for Derek and Stiles has the gall to say 'And you thought I would know?' 13. When Liam notices Derek and Stiles' arms constantly bumping together while they stand right beside each other at every pack meeting, but in an awkward way, like they're both trying to play the touches off as accidental 14. When Stiles tells Scott he has to take care of his and Derek's co-plant, honestly the flimsiest excuse to keep going over to see Derek, as if he needs an excuse at all to want to hang out with Derek 15. When Derek has never even met Theo before, but already hates him for literally no other reason than the fact that Stiles hates him 16. When Isaac overhears this conversation Stiles and Derek have about the male Black Widow Stiles has in a jar: "What we have here is a classic 'Derek Dilemma'. Do I let him go off to fall in love with a female that will kill him? Or do I keep him safe in this jar until he dies, old and alone? Actually, I've been thinking about maybe trying to find Derek 2 a boyfriend, instead." "First off, you're not calling him that. Second, Black Widows are solitary creatures except for when it's time to mate. If you had two male Black Widows together, they would probably just ignore each other. Third, females killing males after mating is a misconception. It only happens in stressful lab experiments where the males can't escape."

"That's still a higher chance than zero percent. No Derek deserves that risk. Derek 2 is getting a boyfriend whether he likes it or not." 17. When the pack sees a small tank with two spiders in it with a label that says 'Derek 2 & Derek 3', because neither Derek nor Stiles had the nerve to call the second spider 'Stiles 2' (please refer to number 16) 18. When Malia and Lydia come back to the loft to continue helping, after a long research night, and find Stiles sleeping in Derek's bed and Derek sleeping on the couch 19. When Derek is so terrified of ruining Stiles that he can't see that Stiles has never been this serene before with anyone, not for as long as Scott has known him (and Scott has known Stiles since they were 4) 20. When the smell of fondness between the two them is so unrelenting and inescapable that it's heartbreaking to see Derek and Stiles keep each other so close yet at such a distance

8. When Stiles takes one single bite into a doughnut and pulls away with a ring of sugar caked around his entire mouth, like a glaze beard

9. When Stiles lays on his belly to play with cats on the floor

10. When Stiles takes out another pencil because he forgot he left his first one behind his ear

11. When Stiles mouths off to other people despite being scared, especially if they're hunters

12. When Stiles has completely serious discussions with kids about which is the best dinosaur

13. When Stiles gets this really far away look while talking about his mom, as if he's there in that moment again

14. When Stiles calls Derek 'Big Guy' or 'Der'

15. When Stiles shoves too much food in his mouth all at once, making his cheeks bulge like a chipmunk, before trying to talk around his mouthful

16. Whenever Stiles wears his 'Stud Muffin' or 'I Support Single Moms'-stripper shirt

17. When Stiles defines a word very differently than how his father defines that word

18. When Stiles treats household plants like pets; petting them, naming them, calling them for 'dinner' when he waters them
