Today felt like a pretty normal Thursday to you. Getting up at seven in the morning, making sure Ella got ready for school, while Loki prepared breakfast - bless him - and of course actually dropping your daughter off at school. Since you had 'Ella duty' this week, your husband tended to little Narfi and got the very young man dressed, fed and ready for the day. Sometimes, it was pretty chaotic and quite hectic. Especially on the days you were working as well - not full-time, though. You were still in maternity leave, but Nick allowed you to work two or even three days a week, if you needed a change of scenery or just a break. Just like today. Sure, Loki had to return to being an Avenger as well, but you always made it work. Besides, the others were happy to jump in as a babysitter as well.

After dropping Ella off at school, you drove straight to the SHIELD headquarters for work, leaving Narfi with Loki, who'd leave your son with auntie Nat for the rest of the morning, because Steve hated it, when Loki missed out the important briefings which concerned his 'development' as a resident of planet earth. Or in other words: Making sure he still behaved, didn't relapse and was a 'hero' and not a threat to humanity. In your eyes, it was ridiculous that he still had to 'prove himself' after all those years... After getting married and starting a family... After everything he had done for the Avengers, America and the whole world. But well... Who were you to speak up and change things? It was how it was.

Seven hours of going through reports and sorting files, you clocked out of work. Yes, it wasn't much you were doing, but it was something. Better than just staying at home. You loved being a mom, but sometimes you needed to see something different - and you were more than happy to rejoin your friends in hopefully near future and slip back inside your Avenger combat suit.

Instead of driving to school to pick up Ella, you drove back home. Loki had already done that; taking his princess out for a daddy-daughter date to the indoor swimming pool.

Arrived at the Avengers compound, you didn't even bother to drop your stuff first; instead heading immediately for Natasha's. Your motherly instincts were literally screaming at you by now to go see your baby son. So, you did.

Your best friend opened the door to her apartment for you with a huge smile and little Narfi on her arms; dressed in his white sweatpants and matching jumper. He looked like a baby smurf - which was probably one of the cutest things you had ever seen and would get certainly never tired of seeing again. "Mama!" Narfi squeaked happily from behind his pacifier as soon as his beautiful ruby eyes registered you; impatiently squirming in his auntie's arms. "Hiii, baby boy!" You smiled brightly and immediately took him into your arms. His adorable giggle urged to your ears; causing you to smooch his little cheek with kisses, and once you had thoroughly greeted your son, you turned your attention to the Black Widow leaning now against the door frame still with that smile on her lips.

"Hey, Nat." You shuffled closer to hug her, what the Russian beauty instantly reciprocated. "Hey, babes." "Thank you for looking after this little guy here," you said; pulling back from the hug and gently bouncing Narfi on your arm. Natasha shook her head. "No need to thank me. I love playing the cool auntie part." "I'll keep that in mind," you winked, causing your fellow Avenger to giggle.

"Alright. We'll be going then. Gotta do some chores... See you around, Nat." "Sure thing, babes."

You looked down at Narfi, who had snuggled against you; head buried in your neck. "Say bye bye to auntie Nat, Narfi." "Bye bye," babbled the little boy in a sweet, quiet voice; clearly on the verge of dozing off. Natasha smiled and waved at Narfi, "Bye bye, маленький смурф." who instantly lifted a small hand to wave back. Smiling and bidding your goodbye to the Black Widow as well, you pressed a kiss against your son's forehead and ran a hand through his black locks.

Back in the apartment, you put the toddler down for a nap on his beloved floor cushion - which he mostly preferred for a nap, instead of his bed. Now that your son was sleeping peacefully across the living room, you had the time to do some chores. On today's programme: folding laundry. So, you spread out on the sofa, switched on the TV - but kept the volume down, of course, and got to work.

From your position, you had the perfect view on Narfi as well; having an eye on him from time time. Unfortunately, that didn't always keep him from escaping your watchful gaze. Just like Ella, was he his father's child... Sneaky and definitely a tiny mischief maker. Not quite as much as his big sister, but nevertheless...

You could swear that you only didn't look at him for five minutes - and suddenly was the floor pillow empty.

Shit.

"Narfi?" You called through the living room; letting your eyes wander and already moved to stand up. He wasn't in this room anymore. You sighed and shook your head with a small smile. "Little rascal..." You mumbled under your breath and crossed the living room; aiming for the hallway.

The good thing was, that Narfi couldn't get far; not having learned how to walk just yet. The emphasis was on the word 'yet'.

You rounded the corner into the hallway, "Narfi?" and found your son standing - hands free - beside the clothes basket, which he had clearly used to pull himself on his feet. At the sound of his mama's voice, the toddler turned his head - which caused him to immediately lose balance and land on his small bum.

Your eyes widened. Was he about to take his first steps and you 'interrupted' him? "Baby, were you about to take your first step?" Narfi was already pulling himself up again; using the clothes basket as a help like before. A sweet huff left his small lips once he made it on his small feet; causing you to stifle a giggle.

"Try again, baby smurf, come on." Narfi turned on slightly wobbly legs towards you; hand gripping the basket for dear life. "Mama!" You smiled and walked quite a few steps closer, before you squatted down and opened your arms. "Yes, c'mere! Come to mama!" You tried to encourage Narfi; a bright smile on your lips.

The smile got even wider, when your son suddenly let go of his support - and took a very wobbly, unsteady step towards you. With you mouth agape, you giggled. "Yes! You did it, baby! C'mon! One more?" Your happiness infected Narfi and he smiled a bright, toothy smile. Giggling, he made another two fast and wobbly steps, before he lost his balance and more or less stumbled into your arms. You reached out and caught him, before he could hit the floor; sweeping him up in a hug.

"Yay!" You cheered and peppered his cerulean, chubby cheeks with kisses. "Mama is sooo proud of you, Narfi." The little boy just cooed and gurgled happily.

An idea crossed your mind.

"Let's surprise daddy and your big sister when they come home, huh? They'll be so happy to see you walk." Your toddler's eyes widened at your suggestion. "Supise dada lala?" Narfi couldn't say Ella yet, so he settled on 'Lala' - it was the cutest thing ever. You giggled; nodding. "Yes, baby smurf. Come on."

The laundry was long forgotten; deciding to play with Narfi instead and helping him practising to walk.

After a very successful daddy-daughter date at the indoor swimming pool, Loki and Ella returned back home in the evening to the Avengers compound. The little girl's hand was neatly tucked into her father's bigger one as they exited the elevator. Ella was definitely tired and worn out - just like it should be after such a day. That was most probably the reason why Loki was carrying not just his duffle bag in his free hand, but also Ella's pink Disney princesses rucksack on his back.

Together, they stepped down the hallway and into your family's apartment. "Darling?" Loki called out; taking off his shoes and helping his tired daughter to get out of her jacket. "Mommy? We're back!"

The pair heard a small voice along some shuffling, before you rounded the corner into the entrance area with Narfi walking in front of you; yet gripping tightly onto your pointer fingers. "Hey, you two," you greeted them happily. "The baby smurf and I have to show you something." Proudly, you let go of your son's small hands - and let him walk a few small, still wobbly step. Before he could topple over, you grabbed him quickly around his middle; holding him steady.

Both, Loki's and Ella's jaws were on the floor; not having anticipated this. Sure, Narfi had tried to walk now for days - probably weeks, but it looked like he needed some more time to learn... Apparently not.

"He is walking now!" A not-so tired anymore Ella squeaked and crawled forwards and clumsily, but lovingly hugged her little brother - who didn't quite understand why everyone was making such a big fuss. He just squeaked along happily.

Loki met your gaze; his beautiful blues shining with a few tears. "Darling, he... Our son is walking..." He whispered; visibly touched, but you heard him anyways. Ella was already helping Narfi back on his little feet; his hands in hers tightly as she helped him walk down the hallway. It gave you the opportunity to step over to your husband. With a smile, you slung your arms around his middle; invading his space. "I know, babe, I know." Loki laughed softly and tried to blink back the tears as he wrapped you up in a hug; strong arms keeping you locked against his tall, defined body.

"We have to watch out now, babe. Soon, he'll start to run," you stated with a giggle, causing Loki to shake his head. "By the Norns, please not. He's already growing up too fast..." You sighed; knew exactly how he felt - and he was right. You rested your head against his chest, giving your husband the opportunity to press a kiss on top of your head. "Mhm... Growing up too fast, just like Ella." You felt the god's chest vibrate with a hum. "Just like Ella..."

my thoughts huh ... i sure am a rambler so you're gonna get a whole essay on this

i guess in thinking abt davejadekat it always starts with jade. which is well enough because davekat has been talked to death at this point, hasn't it? i don't think i could tell you anything new or interesting about that dynamic at this point.

ANYWAY. jade. i kind of get into this in my polar express fic which ik you've read, but she is SO lonely. what the fuck are you supposed to do for ~10 years alone on an island with just a dog?? a dog who could take you somewhere else, somewhere with people, but he won't. and maybe jade knows why because of her dreams on prospit, but also maybe not! either way i think she puts a lot of faith in her dreams. it's kind of the only hope she has for the future.

i think she also has some hope in dave, this really cool dude she has this awkward internet middle school crush on. and dave is super cool to her too! i think it's implied he furry roleplays with her even?? cutest shit ever. i think this is the thing that has made me always love davejade ... they are just. so sweet to each other. dave clearly cares SO much about her.

the other thing about jade is... she's kinda fucked over repeatedly by the narrative, isn't she? she's the last beta kid introduced, so she has a lot less time to develop. the closest she really gets to developing is being really pissed off at karkat after her dreamself dies (i'll talk about this in a sec). her arc basically ends at cascade. her character arc ends in the dead middle of the comic, in a flash animation that contains exactly 0 character development. hussie says so himself in the author's notes. (don't even get me started on the author's notes jesus christ.) everything that happens on the boat is pretty much irrelevant, because it gets retconned out. instead she spends 3 years completely fucking alone, and we like... barely unpack this in canon.

so her life story up until this point is basically: raised by grandpa till ~3-5ish > living on her own till 13 > meeting dave briefly in the game > DAVE FUCKING DIES IN FRONT OF HER, WITH HER OWN BULLETS > she meets john briefly > JOHN AND DAVESPRITE FUCKING DIE > she spends 3 years alone with no solace except "yeah they had to die but you'll see them again in the new session" from alt!calliope and i guess a bunch of sprites and consorts and chess dudes. she says it herself: as nice as it is to have these folks around, they're not able to relate to her. they're not fellow thirteen year old kids. she may not be technically alone, but she is essentially alone, and she just 1. died twice in one day and 2. witnessed the deaths of several of her friends.

more on being fucked over by the narrative - jade actually has a kind of interesting dynamic with karkat in the middle of a5a2! what happens with this dynamic later on? fucking nothing!!!! like seriously i am so interested in this whole. self-hatred parallel that gets drawn between them and then how jade puts her foot down and is like you are fucking nuts. no more yelling at yourself. and it goes nowhere!! this dynamic exists for like, maybe 1% of the comic. it's really fucking sad honestly. even at the very end of homestuck, she has to be sidelined for being too powerful, thereby excluding her from all the endgame convos. like we cannot win with her

ok anyway, here's where i get into the stuff i think is really interesting. at the end of homestuck, alt!calliope tells jade that she's suffered enough, and that it's time for her to live her life how she wants to. we don't see how this plays out in homestuck proper, BUT...... the epilogues. sighs heavily.

i may be an epilogues lover but even i have to admit that jade's portrayal is.... a mess. i don't think it's wildly out of character, exactly, but it definitely toes the line... and it's definitely extremely fucking uncomfortable. it does, however, give me some insight into how i think about jade now, because while the minutiae don't really feel in character, i do think the broad strokes of what they were going for make sense.

jade took alt!calliope's words and said, fuck it. i will take charge! i won't wait anymore! i am going to have what i want. and she does get a lot of that! she gets to hang out with her friends, hang out with her brother, meet a ton of people, have a bunch of sex (presumably when she's older), and so on. but see... doing a lot of things doesn't really fill the emptiness she feels. she has so much love to give and not enough outlet for it. she needs all the love in the world and has nobody to give it to her. and she still has this big fat ten-year-old crush on dave strider that never went anywhere. but the approach she takes to life now is just... so incompatible with what dave needs. same for karkat. they both need a LOT of patience to come out of their shells, and jade is living life in the fast lane. the more she pushes, the more withdrawn they become. it is a disaster.

i want to fix it so fucking bad.

jade needs a lot of character development for all this to work, but the dynamic is absolutely there. some of their convos in early meat are so fucking funny dude, they are such good friends. it is absolutely not for lack of caring on either dave or karkat's part that things don't work out in the epilogues. it's this disconnect between what jade thinks is helpful and what dave and karkat need. i really want jade to find the balance between living at breakneck speed and waiting ten years for something to happen. i want her to feel loved for once in her damn life. and i want dave and karkat to stop being such depressing shut-ins. please guys you could balance each other out if you would just figure out how to communicate

anyway. there's your essay. it's mostly about jade. hope that's ok. i love jade harley so much my ultimate goal is to see her happy and mark my words i will figure out how

But like- even though this is great. Love the angst and all...(he barely got to be sad about it? He barely showed it) I hope Cooper gets his tech powers back. He can be a chef, and a tech guy. Like that show on Netflix! Baking impossible? I think it was? Making functioning cakes. But maybe the whole "tech guy" thing was like... a fence for him? He only thinks of things in that way. Maybe that's why he was the most closed(least creative) person at first. But now he's out of that boundary. And he does look like he's being more care-free and seems more brighter? (...in case you haven't noticed yet. He's my favorite character. He's going to take up about... half of the space in my rambling;;)

Peaceful Property ep 1

Hi again =D

Sorry for the unofficial hiatus, I've been going through It. But I'm back!! (Mostly-)

I can't promise regular crack posts like I did for We Are, but expect me to drop in and rant about something then disappear into thin air again. Love y'all too <3

The first ep was loud and chaotic and pretty much what I'd expected.

I haven't yet developed strong feelings for this yet, but the characters are well written and the acting is absolutely on point and the comedy is underlined by real life struggles and the horror that we were promised. I usually steer clear of horror (not because I get scared I just don't like them and I'm so tired of seeing my friends' shocked faces when I say that. "You don't watch horror?!! 😲" No. I don't. Next question.) but I do sometimes dabble in mixed genres and stuff.

Personally, I do think that ghosts might be a metaphor for the oppressed in the society. For example, the electrician who hanged. He couldn't even finish his lunch, and his death was suppressed because the family had money so he never got proper justice. And suicide is almost always a sign of oppression (mental, physical, emotional or all) so yeah. [I major in Sociology so expect more of these 😭👍🏼]

I'm not exactly in the right mindset to do full on analyses of certain scenes even though I'd like to, but I'm hopeful that as I get to know the characters better (and my mental state improves), I'll be able to do that.

I really like Kan. She will take no shit from anyone and I have huge respect for her. Jan is as always the cutest little pookie, though Tay as Peach is a very strong competitor for the title.

Also. Is this a BL. I'm pretty sure it is. Have you seen the OST?? Like bruh. That's more BL than some actual BL osts I've seen. Unless. This is also a BL. And the colours!! Colours don't lie. I see a bright red rascal and I see a blue boy (credits to @respectthepetty). There's no way they're not getting together. (...is there? I hope not-)

The director of this series is the same as The Gifted and I still haven't recovered from PangWave, so please don't give me another one of those 😭

I had fun reading this event! There’s a few things outside of the actual event I noticed if that makes sense. I think the developers are cooking Something. It might be big or not but certainly Something because while Mizuki did mention Kanade once in their area conversation with Emu, there was a noticeable lack of Mafuyu, even in the after live. With every passing event, I wonder how and when we’ll see her again. Right now, I’m waiting to see Ichika’s birthday card as mentioned before. Aside from that, I love when Airi’s ad libbing is acknowledged. It helps MMJ, and I feel like it could come into play in emergencies if needed (if Mafuyu’s mom were to cause a scene in school). (1/)

This next thought is more speculation about what might come before anniversary? I noticed this set has no virtual singer which is very 👀 or maybe I’m just overthinking it haha. But what if there’s going to be another virtual singers only event coming? It depends on what’s going to happen in the rest of the arc enders, but I found it very interesting that the MMJ virtual singers mentioned starting a Cafe! It made me of a shared Sekai situation, but that could just be an offhand comment so. I can’t forget to mention how Mizuki and Saki got along easily! (Mizuki has a moment of thinking that they were able to get along with Saki easily. Ah, do you evaluate all your new friends like this?) I liked seeing them work together, especially when their attention to detail was acknowledged. As creators, it was nice to see them being similar that way. I think it’d be neat if they went to see an idol concert together! (2/)

Well lack of mention of non-focused characters is pretty standard; the other thing is pretty much as soon as they give Mafuyu some spotlight they'll have to address her current circumstances, so they're probably aiming to one, give a narrative lull and time to breathe, two, give the other Niigo kids time to pass through (as we see with Mizuki), and three (which is sort of one but more specifically), make sure Mafuyu's story is paced out according to the larger structure.

I'm glad Airi's skills got the highlight. Because she is, as has been emphasised, an excellent idol in many regards but she got pigeonholed, so it was very satisfying to see her recognised.

(It's so funny to me that probably the people who'd be best at 'acting' for Mafumom would also be the most irritated at it later. Imagine the Airi 'nd Ena 'what the hell' convo. We know from Shizuku's unravelled thread event they're pretty similar when they're irate. would be pretty entertaining to see them both 'your vibes ma'am... disgusting'.

But I digress, I also think a VS event might be on the table. We've got a bit of a ways until anni and the lack of VS this event... rare for one to not be part of an event, for sure. There was also that Yggdrasekai that was shown in the connected through cherry blossoms event... it would be very fitting to have that lead into an interconnected sekai for the kids to meet at perhaps... either way I'm really excited for this year's anni event.

Mizuki and Saki is one of the cutest new friendships, I'm so glad they met. The fact they're both little sisters, how they both chase their passions...! Their area convos and general interactions in the event were v cute. Going to a MMJ show together would be perfect fun for them, and honestly would be a great mixed event/MMJ focus sighting.

I started a few weeks ago developing a little little feelings for someone, his name is P, he's smile was honestly so adorable and cute. he was like a sunshine to my heart. he looked liked sunoo and jay's mixture of face. but I was thinking he could use some glow up, (like the way he dressed, hehe.) last year, I bumped into him, he was actually so sweet. he apologized and smiled at me. but that also happened when I had a crush on m. I couldn't decide wether or not I had a crush on who, but I still liked m more. but it was also pretty complicated since P is friends with m. (P was a gentlemen, he always open and close the door for me, is that hinting something? or I m just being delusional.)

back to the original point. I realized I can't have a crush on anyone anymore, like really really do have a crush on someone. I just have a little feeling then I get bored of it, I know there is definitely something wrong with me. I grew up without my dad, since he works all the way back at Taiwan, where I was born. I never really felt father love until now since he visit us a lot at Canada. but yea, remembering last year there was a rumour one of my boy best friend (Jake) started for me, I asked him to tell everyone that he knows I m dating someone so m could not have feelings for me anymore. but the day the rumour started, m found out immediately, some of my friends said that they saw m crying in gym class because he thought we were dating. I didn't even knew that he liked me that much, he was so heart broken that he hated me, and I don't blame him. I don't know what's wrong with me, I didn't know why I ask Jake to do this. one thing to mention, one of my best friend is friends with him, and she asked m why did he liked me back, this is what he said..

"because she is really pretty, and also she is the first girl who would ever like me, I like the way she looks at me. she is like a little angel to me.''

I swear I almost cried when I heard my best friend say that. not to mention, my best friend also asked him "(how much do you like her out of 10?)" he answered back ''24.'' without an explanation. also, he had a crush on someone new. it was a girl named R, she was also a nerd in m's class. people used to ship m and R together, but he didn't like her back since he liked me. but this year went different. m had a huge crush on R, but R didn't even like him back, she rejected him more than 2 times, and still to this day m still has a crush on her. and low-key. I ship them too, they're cute together.

- I feel like a stupid bitch, I feel like a whore who plays with someone's feelings. it was a very un-mature thing to do. but I have an apology to say, the last paragraph I've said that I don't feel sorry. actually I do. I'm very sorry, I can't imagine how sad you were, I've ditched you and let you down, disappointed you, but you still liked me back. by the way, m. I miss the times when I would look at you during gym class. thank you for being some affection to me.

btw! I had a story writing contest in my school, I put this memory in the story, here's the quote.

‘’It was spring till summer in 2005, I met him. He was a guy wearing red cap chilling on the bench in sacred park, his angelic face shocked me, I couldn’t describe how glorious he looked, while looking at him, he asked   “who are you?”’  I was not prepared for that. I didn’t say anything and ran away, and realizing after few days he was in my school and in the class beside me. I realized the moment I’ve met him, I fell in love with him and I asked all of my friends in his class what his name and anything was. His name was shion, I noticed he looks at me a lot and blushes around me, few weeks later I finally had the chance to talk to him. He was honestly the cutest person I’ve ever met, and I have response back from my friends saying they know who shion’s crush was. I know damn well its not me, but they told me it was me. I was in pure shock.. I didn’t realize this guy have been following me almost everywhere I go in school, clubs, where I eat lunch and where I stand and sit. honour mention, when this year started, I tried to avoid him everywhere, but he kept showing up everywhere I can see him, even bump into him 2 times already (OH GOD THAT WAS DAMN EMBARRASSING.) I even sprained my ankle trying not to bump into him. also this year puberty hit him, he's voice got so deep that I don't even know how to describe it, he grew a lot taller than before. so yea! it was nice to meet you again? (no, not really.)

My reviews on Manhwas

Alright so, recently I've began to fall into the great Manhwa hell, as if I didn't have enough fandoms.

But I neither have friends to chat about this with, nor a Discord chat where I can fanby about it, so I just decided to throw it in here.

These are both Manhwas I recommend and my opinions on them. If there are any spoilers, They will be striked through and in blue for anyone that wishes to avoid them (if anyone even reads this lol).

1. The Villainess Reverses the Hourglass (악녀는 모래시계를 되돌린다)

Premise: Aria was a terrible person and was sentenced to dead by being beheaded. In her final moments, she discovers her step sister, Mielle, actually manipulated her during her entire life just so she could get Aria killed. She then is beheaded, and wakes up in the past, in her child body. So now, she must work to both survive and get her revenge on her sister.

Lovely story, and my first Manhwa. The art is simply stunning, and all the characters are very flashed out and developed. Aria (MC) is the pettiest person alive and I'm here for that.

Also, I noticed a trend where, even though the manhwa has "Villainess" in the title, the MC is usually a total angel. Well, not here. Aria is egotistical and a total Diva, she has her goals and one of them is her revenge and by all that is sacred she'll get it.

Mielle is a great villain, she has grown a lot in her own pettiness and tactics since she was a child, and I really like that. Also, watching her suffer for being a terrible person is delightful.

The Male Lead (Asher) is also really cool, I like how he's both witty and friendly, and how much he truly admires Aria and her achievements.

The side characters are also pretty good, and they get a lot of focus because of their interactions with the main cast.

Again, The art is S T U N N I N G. Look at this:

Literally all panels are drawn like this or better, I'm in love.

All in all, an awesome read, 10/10, I love this a lot.

2. The Monster Duchess And Contract Princess (괴물 공작가의 계약 공녀)

Premise: Leslie's life was terrible, and always centered on her big sister, Eli. After a failed attempt of her family to grant Eli her sister's skills and knowledge, Leslie searches for the feared "Monster Duchess" in an attempt to survive.

Another one with incredible art AND incredible characters. Leslie is an absolute angel, and seeing her grow as a person is awesome.

The gender envy I feel with the Duchess is unbearable, she's utterly perfect. And the entire family is so dotting and loving and sweet, my little grinch heart can't take it.

She's perfection, really.

The plot keeps getting more and more mysterious, and I'm here for it!

I love each of the main characters a lot, and even the villains are well done and fuel your hatred.

Also, Eli Sperado and her Dad can choke on those black flames for all eternity.

Another 10/10, although I must warn anyone that wishes to read this that the translations sometimes are very spotty and messy, so it can be a bit annoying.

3. I'll be the Matriarch in this Life (이번 생은 가주가 되겠습니)

Premise: Firentia was a girl that died in Korea in her past life, and was reborn into an influential family as the illegitimate daughter of the third son. Her life was pretty terrible, with in the end, her family ending up in poverty and disgrace because of her uncles and cousins, while she was exiled from the family. After another accident, she wakes up in her past, now with a goal: Become the Lombardi matriarch and stop the other family heirs from bringing it to ruin.

Awesome art and Awesome plot number 3! This is so good, genuinely. Firentia is such an awesome plotter, and her goals and actions are very well developed.

The Male Lead is my baby and I shall protect him, and the side characters? Utterly stunning.

The twins are the cutest fucking shit, seriously. Like, look at these two?? I'm dead. Although, all the children are very, veeery cute.

I like how Firentia subtly manipulates things around her to get what she wants. It's similar to Aria, but she's much more mature and knowledgeable, and has a much less petty goal.

Guess what? 10/10. Yeah, I know, I'm terrible at grading, sue me.

4. The Twins Siblings' New Life (쌍둥이 남매의 뉴라이프)

Premise: Arien and Arjen were a pair of twins that died in Korea, and were reborn again as twins and as the Emperor's illegitimate children. Now, with only each other to trust, they must do their best to survive.

My current obsession. I really like this one. The art is not on the same level of pure Awesome like the ones before, but it's pretty good nonetheless.

The plot is pretty nice, but I must warn you: DO NOT expect them to act like adults. Honestly, just forget they're meant to be reborn in this world. They're just normal children and that's it. They act like children, and they think like children. Honestly, I think the author just wanted to make this story about them as children and their producer went and said to make them reincarnates because that Isekai shit is popular nowadays (And to justify they having memories of their newborn days). Seriously, just ignore it, the experience reading will be much better.

Other than that, the story develops nicely. The characters are all very good and the plot is very mysterious. I am holding myself back to not spoil anything, aaaaa.

There is also only one another thing that disappoints me: Arien is very clearly the MC. The story is told by her eyes and we only know what Arjen thinks or feels when he says it 9 or by subtext). I really wish it was more balanced, because they're both different people and have different perspectives, and also I really like Arjen.

I have absolutely no idea where this plot is gonna go, and honestly? I like it. It's very rare when I don't know how things are gonna develop because of other stories, so it feels very fresh.

The brothers are freaking awesome. I was so scared they were going to hate the twins and be petty, because of other manhwas that are like that, but they're so loving and sweet?? All hail these idiots. Also, Daddy is the biggest dumbass of all, this poor clueless man.

An 8/10, because of the complaints above. Still a good read, and I really like it, even with it's defects.

4. I'm A Stepmother, But My Daughter Is Just Too Cute! (계모인데 딸이 너무 귀여워)

Premise: A seamstress dies of overwork in Korea, and wakes up in the body of Abigail, the vain Queen, and the evil stepmother to the princess Blanche. Yes, It's like she stepped into the world of Snow White, and she must now do her best to live and.. Dote on Blanche with toys and dresses as much as possible?

Again with the awesome art and nice plot. Why are there so many manga with awesome art?? I'm so envious.

May all hail this crispy, delicious art.

Abigail is a whole mood, and I enjoy how she is inserted into the life of someone who had already lived and had a reputation. Her actions baffle a lot of the characters, as do her motivations, and I'm here for it.

The King has also an amazing backstory that's very tragic and yikes. I enjoy it, really. Not something you see in men's backstories that much.

Also, I'm kinda saddened by the fact the MC and the king are bound to become an actual couple. They would be such good platonic friends stuck in a political marriage. I was robbed, y'all.

Abigail greatest ambition is to get to design a dress for Blanche and have her wear it, and you know what? Good for her! Sometimes, it's good to have an MC that is not plotting against world at large.

Also, her mirror? Verite is simply perfect, I love this guy. I non-jokingly ship him with Abigail more than her with the King.

Blanche is a sweetheart, she deserves to be in my "adopted children" wall.

For now it's more of a Slice of Life than anything? But I also don't know what happens in the novels, so I'm just going to wait.

For the current lack of a grater plot, this gets a 7/10. Still pretty good and entertaining, especially for when you just don't feel like trying to understand deep plots with lots of elements.

5. Beware of the Brothers! (그 오빠들을 조심해!)

Premise: Another one of those "I lived my life and then wake up in the past." Hari was adopted by this family after the death of their only daughter, and although her parents love her, her 3 older siblings very much don't. She lives a miserable life in their hands, and when it's the night before she is to get married and finally escape her brothers, she wakes up in the past, and has to deal with them all over again.

Another nice art one, and the background characters are very nice, as is the MC.

But for me, it has a big problem. And that problem is the main ship. It's Hari with her eldest brother, Eugene. Even though they are not related and yadda yadda yadda, they were raised as such, and thus it bothers me. Also, Eugene is as plain as white bread and just as generic when seen as the Male Lead.

I ship Hari with Johan, even though I know it's not gonna happen, Ugh, the pain..

For me, the main point in this is Hari's relationship with her other siblings and the other background characters. I'm here for that wholesome sibling interaction. Her relationship with Erich, specially, is awesome. I love these two so much

It also kinda lacks a plot? Other than the relationship development and their story as a family, but again, I have no idea how they will develop this.

Also, pet peeve? Why do they keep using Oppa instead of translating it properly as brother? I get honorifics and stuff, but it's so annoying.

I give it a 6/10. Good characters and good relationships outside of the bloody incest thing, and it's a good enough way to pass the time.

There are two more that I've read, buut it's like 4am and I'm sleepy as all hell, so I'll just add it in a reblog or attached post later, and I plan on doing this for other future manhwas as well.

By the end of his labor, Meliodas is exhausted, but welcomes his child into the world with a smile. They (Sirens don't develop specific/preferred gender until they're a bit older) look like a siren, with the cutest little tail. Their scales are a dark blue, like the sky just after the sun hides behind the horizon, and little silvery spots scattered around, and his baby is so BEAUTIFUL. Ban is with him in the birthing pool, holding him upright, and he's looking at the little one with wonder. He carefully gives them his finger and the little one grasps onto it in a tiny little death grip. They yawn and Ban squeezes his mate. "They're incredible, Mel."

Meliodas has tears on his face and he's smiling. "Yeah. I- Holy shit, that was exhausting." His head falls back against Ban's collar. He laughs and cuddles him close. "You did amazing, Greeny. Rest now, I'll keep watch." He nodded and passed out pretty much instantly.

He doesn't return to doing shows until they're about 3 months old. At this point, they're acting like their Aunty Derieri and developing gender early. A girl, of course. Ban and Meliodas are talking about naming her Chantara. It means Moon Water, and they thought it would be appropriate, with their Grey eyes. (Apparently they took after Meliodas’s grandmother.)

When he's asked where he's been for the past year, he grins and flips down into the water, going down to where Gowther Sr is watching his spawn (as Ban likes to call them, he thinks he's funny, "Look, this is my spawn!" What a dork.) And takes them back up and peaks his head over the water, then holds them up. "I MADE this!!"

The little one yawns and blinks at the crowd, the little flop of silvery blue hair they got from Ban already starting to spike in the air. There's a clamor of questions as he tucks them into his arms securely, sitting back on his interview rock, and he puts his finger to his mouth. "Shh, the little ones not used to crowds like I am, try and keep it down."

"Are they a boy or a girl??"

"Mm, neither, yet. We don't have definitive sexes like you humans, remember? Siren young don't develop their preferential gender until anywhere between 6 and 12 months. But so far, we think they might lean feminine. Taking after their Aunty Derieri, an early bloomer."

"Which Siren is the father? I thought you were related to everyone in your pod?"

"Well, not technically. I'm only biologically related to Zeldris, doesn't mean the others aren't my family. But actually, their sire isn't a siren, he's a human."

"A human??"

"Well, yeah. My mate is a human. I'm sorry, was that not common knowledge, we weren't SUBTLE." Well, not to other sirens at least.

"Which human? Is he here?"

"I am indeed." Ban said, dropping Zero Sign right behind them. A decent chunk yelped and whirled around, and he grinned, walking through them easily and clearing the Ten foot pool gap to Mel's rock with ease.

"Wait, you're not his trainer?"

"Trainer? Hell no, he does everything of his own free will, the only TRAINER capacity I might have is in the same way you might have like, a gym coach or something. Also, it was really funny teaching him to walk."

"Hey, shut up, I'd never had legs before!"

He laughed and flopped down next to him, the two easily passing over the little one. He put them in the little sling he'd taken to wearing for these situations and kissed Meliodas’s cheek.

They quickly became an internet sensation all over again.

This was so beautiful to read! I loved it! Such a gorgeous name for their child. And of course Ban is a dork when referring to his child ("Look, I made this!").

We end my comfort character official month that made the cut with one last visit at a recent anime that changed my life. I watch very few seasonal anime but I owe my love of this show to my best friend Pino. I pretty much watch anything that she recommends since her opinion has become trustworthy since she got me into both Promare and Millionaire Detective. But we're here to talk about the amazingness that is Miya Chinen in Sk8 The Infinity.

When we first meet Miya in the show he's seen as a spoiled brat but a good skater. He's talented tor his age and seen as a child prodigy. However, his personality and respect for authority needs a little bit of work. It's all with reason though as we see in a flashback that his friends abandoned him once he got to be a better skater than they were. He was just trying to have fun with his friends and they all decided to stab him in the back and make him weary of making new friends. It broke my heart to hear all of what he had been through with his classmates and former friends.

As somebody who's previous friends have also been known to be pieces of absolute human garbage I just want to give this baby a hug and tell him that everything will be alright in the end. That this is only a passing fad and that things will get better in the future. As long as you keep your chin up good things will come your way. That's what I've learned through my years of being alone. All those years of being alone have brought me amazing friends now that I'm older. Miya never gave up on his skating though which I think is amazing. He's clearly passionate about the sport despite all the pain and trauma it's given to him.

We see throughout the show that his mom doesn't really care a whole lot about what he does either as he's almost never seen at home. He's usually shown either out with the main gang or at Joe's restaurant. Throughout everything no matter what you knew that he'd find his found family. He had people that cared about him now. He loved his small family even if he often complained about Reki's clinginess (more about this later!) he did grow and develop throughout these few weeks after he met all his friends.

Reki and Miya have by far my favorite platonic relationship in the entire show. I just love these two more than anything else and their friendship. They are adorably quirky but at the same time you see them grow into stronger friends. Even though Miya was worried about his "older brother" figure. They were extremely charming and I loved them together. Miya and Reki's relationship was just so much of the older brother tormenting the younger brother. I *LOVE* these two just way too much they're so cute and funny together. (My favorite is definitely when Reki stretches Miya's face.)

Voice acting is actually a newcomer! I had never heard of him before this show but Miya in the dub was voiced by Ry McKeand. I think that this was his first major character in an anime but he was amazing! He has to do voice cracks quite a bit because Miya is of course, still getting his voice under control during puberty. And the voice cracks are both adorable, and accurate as hell. I'm super impressed by the talent that Ry was able to bring to Miya since he was so complicated. At first you dislike him because he just seems like an entitled little brat but the more you find out about him and see what he's gone through you find that he's actually a lot stronger of a person and a better character than your initially thought.

All throughout my childhood through my adult years I always found my favorite characters to be either the goofballs or the baby's who are the cutest members of the cast. Miya definitely fits into the second category. Through everything, my comfort characters have always been there for me. Despite me growing up lonely I had plenty of friends. It's just most of them are all fictional. I loved them so much. No matter what I'm going to continually lean on my comfort characters for serotonin.
