i fully support the canada post strike but maaaan i hope they come to an agreement soon because it's totally fucking over my small business 😭
#i got 30+ orders while i was away on vacation.. i messaged everyone to let them know the situation and luckily most people were okay waiting#and didn't want a refund#but like.. i just don't have an income atm#and i looked into shipping alternatives.. the cheaper ones like chit chats and stallion express aren't available in my area#and the big boys like ups fedex and canpar are waaayyy too expensive#i just ship little envelopes with stickers.. no ones gonna pay $20+ shipping for like $10 worth of stickers#complain post#also re: the canada post strike.. my fiance renewed his drivers license and health card right before the strike.. so they're both stuck#somewhere in the mail system now lol.. which is annoying

god artists really do just pass around the same $20 bill cause dude over half my clients are other artists 😭 and usually they're the ones that tip well!! i just wish i could afford to also commission other artists and buy stuff from their shops!

Okay so The Star Beast was fun and I'm hyped for Wild Blue Yonder and everything but I am shattered over the new episode of Eleventh Doctor Chronicles.
Broken Hearts is some of the best dark!Doctor Expanded Universe exploration I ever consumed, and that includes The Eleventh Doctor Year Two comics. I am sobbing. I am in tears. I am broken as thoroughly as the Doctor broke Valerie Lockwood.

fun drohnen fact: they love to fight. They will fight eachother for whatever reason but interestingly it actually deescalates most things 80% of the time. Disputes will generally have the two parties beat the crap out of eachother and in the winded daze afterwards they'll come to agreement and for this reason, their politics is insane and politicians oftentimes leap over their counters to beat the shit out of their opponents and nobody does anything about it because, well, it'll probably chill them out OR they'll agree on something.
This is, weirdly enough, probably because fighting is also a little romantic. Since Drohnen residents are all only One Sex and kids are expensive little tots who grow up to be the size of buildings, only one of them have the kid and that is generally decided on whoever loses/falls over (Drohnen pregnancies are WAY less scary than human ones, especially because they're used to laying eggs every 3 months - the loser generally doesn't mind it.).
Sometimes it's seen as a little suspicious when a fight lasts too short since romantic fighting is generally shorter than most fighting. much to the dismay of politicians trying to wrap up a squabble to get back to business

GOOD NEWS the expensive pair of jeans i impulse-bought last week (bc my current jeans make me actually angry to wear) don't fit me, so i can return them and get a refund 😊
#on the one hand YES it would be great to have a pair of jeans that fit me#on the other hand i regretted that purchase financially as soon as i made it and i will be v glad to get the money back#WHY DOES NOWHERE MAKE JEANS THAT FIT ME#they're always just too baggy in places and too tight other places like they're usually too big and too small at the same time#and in that situation u can't just get it in a different size bc then it would still fit weird#these ones fit really well around my hips but were just weirdly baggy in the crotch? WHY#also they're always ALWAYS way too long on me but that's ok i can alter the hem length really easily#i guess the real answer would be to learn how to tailor the tops of jeans to fit me properly#i have been seeing some vids recently on pinterest on how to do that and i'll definitely look into it more#because it PISSES ME OFF TO NO END#the current pair i have are just. SO baggy and not in a cute way like they are definitely too big for me#and i guess i have lost a little weight since i bought them but i think probably they never fit right#and i was just so desperate that i settled#also i kind of made a loose resolution that i would only buy second hand or sustainable clothes from now on#and the vast majority of sustainable jeans do not come in sizes big enough for me#it fucking sucks but fast fashion brands really are the only places you can buy decent plus sized jeans#no 'good quality' denim brands eg levi or wrangler make plus sized jeans and you for sure can't find any second-hand#that's why this pair was expensive (bc the brand is sustainable)#i've ordered from them before and i remember having the same problem and having to return everything so i really should have known better#sustainably making clothes that don't fucking fit me lmao#🧃

finished my soul hackers 2 replay yyayyy. i bought the story dlc and i liked the sidequests, the superboss was kinda disappointing though, not for gameplay, they were incredibly difficult, but like. i expected at least a little lore or nana involvement in the end and there was neither which was sort of odd.
#shitpost#i did like all the extra character moments for everyone and nana was great!#also i did like that it was strictly sidequests with a LITTLE connection to main plot but not much. a good way to do dlc#just WEIRD to me that the superboss was just like. here's parvati and shiva. here's ardha. like.#they're good bosses. again. the fight is really good. but they don't have any relevant world/lore dialogue at all which is just. odd.#a weird choice for like. the optional superboss. to just like.#it'd be like if lucifer was just some guy#or the angels in digital devil saga if they weren't. the angels. lol#also technically like they're included in the paid dlc which makes it. weirder? idk#soul hackers 2 dlc is way too expensive too tbh. idk why its like the cost of over half the maingame if you got all the dlc#which i did not#annoying for ME too because i got the physical collector's edition but that only came with the basegame#so this irritated me for awhile lol.#but i did like the story dlc. it was fun and added nice moments and some good challenging fights#im just confused why the superboss was so irrelevant#i LOVE sh2 though i love you figue forever#can't wait to play agian and finally play on new game plus#i know new game plus has some additional quests AND#MOST IMPORTANTLY. it has hang out events with figue#which i want so bad#also finishing the soul matrixes even tho those are not as big of a deal since there's no more story#just like unlocking the abilities and the dialogue from the abilities though is so fun#i love u soul hackers 2

looking around for meat prices to get smth nice for rosh hashanah dinner and the local butchershop has a section specifically marked as being For Rosh Hashanah on their websites. that's awesome
#they're definitely one of the more expensive options tho. but their meat IS locally sourced and sustainably raised#so everyone once in a while i don't mind splurging....then again a brisket is a big thing and it's not cheap haha#sasha speaks#they've got lamb roasts and short ribs and whole duck and stuff marked in the rosh hashanah section too. it all sounds sooo yummy#but damn i want my pot roast i am committed to getting a brisket this year

Budget cuts were real. Looked through the schedules out of curiosity, BBC have really only planned to televise the Saturday and Sunday headliners at Reading. It looks like they've had to make a choice between Reading and Glastonbury, and with factors like the time of year (mid-summer vs. last long weekend of summer), interest and viewership, they chose their flagship Glastonbury coverage while axing a lot of Reading. Sad, but I think they made the right choice on that.
Also, they have had to spell it out in words. Written all over it is one word: budget
