Why I started both rewrites back to back, idk. But now I'm having a hard time focusing on one at a time. Maybe I should start rewriting the Apartments one or try to come up w/ a new one altogether... 🤔

OOOOH ZEN UR SO BIG BRAINED!!! Oooh I’m gonna add that to my list of ideas for Zella omG (it also fits cause I added a factoid about him having a long tongue 👀)
OH so idk if u have seen, but I actually added more about her which I sent as ask to @quinloki about!! Gushed a little about her and another OC of mine cause, I like gushing about them and Captain Q is really cool idk dhdhdh
As for Zella’s backstory, ooooh boi, it’s not pretty but I mean, how many backstories in One Piece are, right?? He grew up island hopping with his folks who only care enough about him to keep Zella alive, abandoning him when they decided he could take care of himself at 10 years old. The island she was left on didn’t start out awful, the folks were nice enough to offer food and soare hand-me-downs, but no one wanted a stray kid in their house, so she made due with what she could find.
Zella did try to befriend the other kids on the island, wanting some comfort, someone to talk to, letting them pick and belittle her without a fight. One day it turned much, darker, but she gritted her teeth and bared it until finally, after months of borderline torture, something broke in her. She fought her way out tooth and nail, and took the first ship she could out of there, using long fingerless gloves to cover the scars left behind.
After some months trading and negotiating his way from island to island, until the last one he landed on somehow, through a series of events and compassion, became his home.
Some years later she would meet with a loud, wild redheaded pirate captain and his crew, and the rest is history (aka I’m still figuring it out LMAO)
HEHE I hope u like it 🌷
I'm not able to keep up with my dashboard the way I used to, so I missed your ask to Quin even though I follow them. I searched their blog for the ask but tumblr's search function is so garbage I wasn't able to find it. :(
I like that backstory for Zella! It's always fun to have a dedicated signature clothing item that has backstory attached. I'm always a fan of scarring and secrets, so I dig that!
I'm really interested in how he discovered his identity as a bigender person. It's a pretty rare gender identity to have even in the queer community, so especially in a OP setting I'd be curious as to how she figured that out about herself. (I have one bigender OC! He's newer to my OP roster.)

“THANK YOU FOR THE FOOD!”
He wasted no more time with pleasantries as he began tearing into his breakfast like it was a gourmet meal.
Watching him eat was interesting to say the least, it was almost like he was unhinging his jaw to fit as much food into the void is his mouth as it would allow him.
I used to think that I was could chow down pretty fast but my eater ability’s were being put to shame by a vast amount by him easily.
Maybe I really was that good of a cook. Being just me and Athena here alone in the cave I had gotten so used to just feeding us I never even thought much bout if it that good or not.
Taking my first bit of my food I made two realizations.
The food was mid asl, and this man truly was very peculiar we needed to be friends.
The meal went on uninterrupted by either of us, him to focused on winning his own personal man vs (mid) food and me wondering what could have possibly brought him to this crazy island in the first place.
When I got the mission to be sent here I was very skeptical I was even fit for the role. But Sabo insisted I could handle it , and he threw in the fact that they would make my accommodations to my liking and I was sold. Unfortunately the ability to decorate a space was my greatest foil the blonde demon knew that too.
The island classification was type s meaning it was of the most difficult to inhabit, so what was he doing here?
Trying to think of all the people I knew who could even manage to simply survive here narrowed the list of reason down drastically.
Definitely not a Marine.
He sure was no White Beard pirate that was for sure but they were the only crew I knew dumb enough to send one of there men on a mission here, but I knew a pirate when I seen one.
And he was unquestionably a pirate.
No matter what they looked like the months on the sea gave them all a signature tan. Not that I was looking heavily at him or anything of course but his skin was bronzed in an admittedly beautiful way.
Another sign was littered all across his body, the scares that no doubt were from the many battles pirates regularly get into, not to mention the big one across his chest
His chest scare formed a distinctive x shape, I remember seeing it last night it seems different from all his others.
Newer.
A would have to ask him about that when I got the chance.
Another thing that gave away his pirate status was his confidence. I mean what normal person just brazenly rushes into a random fight with a beast like he did ?
Or goes through a strangers fridge ???
Also his straw hat, other than when he was unconscious he always had it on. Pirates always had something weird going on with them, there was buggy and his whole clown thing or the big ma pirates and there breeding kink and sugar problems.
Always something with that lot of sea dwellers.
On second thought he might just be a beautifully bronzed idiot. A Loud beautiful bronzed idiot.
I go to eat another bite of food thinking about all the pirates I could remember and all there little quirks when the straw hatted young man cleared his thought obnoxiously.
Looking him in the eyes I wondered what he could have wanted. I fed him like he asked, maybe he was still in pain.
“are you gonna finish that?”
I look at my hand that was clearly going to eat more food and then at my plate and his. Mine had only a few more bites left and his was… licked clean.
He looked eager to hear my answer, maybe food made him heal faster.
“Okay but-“ I didn’t even get to finish my sentence before he was stretching his arms to grab my plate.
And fork.
He really did not gaf either.
I would roll my eyes but this seems like something I was going to have to unfortunately get used to if we were indeed going to be… friends.
Watching him eat for a moment I thought about how it was well past time we should introduce ourselves.
I had already got personal with his body… in the sense that I had to patch him up of course. And he had you know literally saved my life so it was high time I learned his name.
Now it was my turn to clear my thought to get his attention.
Not really knowing how to go about this I just stood up and stuck my hand out.
“Hi I’m Your/Name, Idk if you know this but you saved my life yesterday. Thank you sincerely, what is your names ?”
That was good, I said my name and thank you. I did good, good job y/n. Although the hand shake is very formal in hindsight were not in an official meeting, but I have to stick it through now.
At first he just looked at my hand and me blankly.
Which immediately made me overthink
Was I to forward, wait do pirates hide their name ??? Did I do something wrong ??? WHYS HE JUST STARRING
I was just about to take my hand back when he broke out into a gummy smile and stood up too. A wave of relief washed over me, he was just processing what I said and I was being hasty.
“My name is Monkey D. Luffy” he paused and took a deep breath for the next part of his introduction.
“AND IM GONNA BE THE PIRATE KING” he smiled wildly at me now, taking my hand in his which was still covered in food I noted.
In the back of my head I could feel I had heard that name before somewhere but in this moment all the excitement finally just knowing his name made whatever thought I had disappear as soon as it came.
“It’s nice to meet you y/n, we should be friends!”
“I was just about to say the same thing Luffy!”
His smile was infectious, I couldn’t help but mirror his in tandem.
For a moment it was just us locking eyes smiling as the morning sun peeked in on our new found friendship.
His hand was warm and large enough to almost engulf mine and most importantly it was so comfortable. (And a tad sticky from all the food)
He didn’t try to hard to grip my hand or shake it obnoxiously. There just a just enough of a squeeze so as to say hi but nothing disagreeable.
In all honesty I didn’t want to remove my hand from his but the time we had ours clasped together was growing long and I was being to get nervous under the weight of his unyielding gaze.
It wasn’t that I felt judge, far from it, his eyes and body only seemed to wanna invite me into his world in every way possible even if he knew nothing about me that did not seem to bother him.
But then again I always over conflated my own importance in others perceptions and only knowing luffy for this short period of time I already wanted him to like me.
Overthinking pointless things as always.
When I removed my hand from his I felt a bit of a resistance. He didn’t want to let go ?
I was probably imagining it.
“Luffy are you done eating ? I should start cleaning everything up today’s yet another busy day especially if I hope to take advantage of this summer season. That damned beast will be out again they don’t take being bucked up to kindly. It will be looking for you now” taking his old plate and holding my hand out for the other.
There were a few pieces of food left but they were just scrapes so I figured I would just compost it.
“Good, makes my job easier. Our fight wasn’t finished” Luffy then proceeded to bring my plate to his mouth and shove the rest of the scrapes into the void in his mouth with his hand.
And just when I thought it was over he then proceeded to licked it clean.
I was still waiting for him to pass when his plate when he got up and casually walked over to the sink while talking about about what he was going to do the next time he seen the behemoth hog.
“The old fart told me I gotta use my haki if I wanna get better but ughhhhh every time I try those bastards just get the upper hand on me. He’s gonna make me do extra training when he hears what happened with the damned over grown bacon pig!”
Joining him at the sink I turned the water on and we both start cleaning the dishes. He didn’t even offer to help just began doing it without sparing a second thought about it.
“old fart ? Training ? Haki ??? Wait is all that why your on Ruskaina? Because I thought it was only me on the island for months cause this place is so dangerous. Hell my mother almost kelled over when I told her I was stationed here” as I spoke I cleaned off a pot and handed it to him to dry off we had fallen into a sort of rhythm.
We both would clean but if someone finished the other would dry that dish off for the other, it was kinda like a dance how we moved between each other silently giving the other permission to invade each others space when need be.
Not that it matters of course, and I didn’t think about it long after.
No, no, no.
But sometimes our hands would over lap when handing a dish off. He didn’t seem to notice or care, and of course neither did I.
Feeling his warmth pass over my hand just for that moment didn’t drive me crazy at all.
No,no,no.
“Yeah the granps is amazing ! He really pushed me to be better and it gets hard but I have to be better. I’ve been doing all this training these past few moths so I can get stronger for my crew.” Luffy slowed a bit now after mentioning his crew, he appeared lost in thought.
Athena’s music was playing low in background and the streaming of the water over dishes almost drowned out what Luffy said next but I still manage to hear him mutter it.
“So that day never happens again” in the corner of my eye I can see the glint of a tear trailing down his cheek.
Whatever it was clearly hurt him deeply. His brows knitted together and eyes glossed over as if he was being forced to relive the worst moment of his life all over again.
Unsure of what to do to ease whatever was causing him so much pain I thought to just ramble, bringing up the first thing that came to mind, my research.
“I’m here training too! Well a bit more than just training, I’ve been researching how to build houses better in extreme conditions. We want to be able to help as many people as possible but it became very obvious that us worst generation were more fighters than builders. We want to help the ppl, but we believe giving the tools to do so it vastly more important than just doing it for them. ” I attempted to make a joke about how once I witness someone almost hammer a nail into their hand trying to fix a broken wall. I laugh a bit trying to ease his mood a little.
Luffy lets out a small laugh thankfully my stupid anecdote was successful even if it was just enough to make him not as sad.
“We?” He looked at me curiously.
“Y/n are you on a pirate crew !” His wonder had brought him back even further from the grips of whatever fog he was in earlier.
“Well sorta kinda, Im part of the revolutionary army. Not technically pirates but we are kin in our hate for the world government. Useless bureaucrats the best thing one of them can do is die and put us out or misery.”
Handing luffy the last utensil I dry my hands off and lean on the counter as we continued the conversation.
“Ohhhh my grandpa told me bout’em before. wait so does that mean you can fight !? Can you show me!!!”
“I not the best fighter admittedly, but I can show you my powers. There are bit of a secret tho so you gotta promise not to tell anymore”
Holding up my pinky I mimicking our earlier promise. He eagerly took hold of my pinky with his.
“I pinky promised not to tell anyone about your powers y/n”
“Bet, we gonna have to go outside for me to show you my powers tho luffy
And with that the man was damn near dragging my outside so I could show him what I could do.
.
.
.
.
- the vibe I want mc house to have, think of it with more richer red and blues colors kinda like that one room in howels moving castle but in a cave and the stone I feel like would be more like picture 2, darker and more brown.

20 Questions Game for Fic Writers!
I feel like I've done this before, but like...definitely before a MASSIVE amount of my fics were released post-fest, so thanks to the amazing @ssmtskw tagging me, I'm gonna do it all over again!
1. How many works do you have on ao3?
52 total!
2. What’s your total ao3 word count?
128,450 words!
3. What fandoms do you write for?
Currently, only RWRB. In the past, I've written some for Once Upon a Time.
4. What are your top 5 fics by kudos?
Ghosts
Volume Control
Retaliation
Do we still have forever?
Modification to the map of you
5. Do you respond to comments?
Always! I live by comments, so I will always show my appreciation for every single one.
6. What’s the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?
I suffer from this syndrome that only allows me to write happy endings, so the angstiest ending I've written still brings with it some hope. It's Darkest before the dawn.
7. What’s the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?
I think one of my newer fics, No fear, no fences, nobody - no reins has a pretty lovely ending. Lots of hope for a pretty blissful future.
8. Do you get hate on fics?
Not yet. Still waiting on my first hate comment. I'd love for it to never come, but you know how fandom can be.
9. Do you write smut? If so what kind?
Before FirstPrince, I wrote a lot of fade to black. Now, I dive right into wherever the story and the characters lead. The fic listed in answer #7 is probably the smuttiest I've ventured so far.
10. Do you write crossovers? What’s the craziest one you’ve ever written?
I haven't yet but I'd be open to!
11. Have you ever had a fic stolen?
Nope.
12. Have you ever had a fic translated?
Nope, not yet.
13. Have you ever co-written a fic before?
Not so far, but a couple are in the works!
14. What’s your all-time favorite ship?
FirstPrince.
15. What’s a WIP you want to finish, but doubt you ever will?
I once had a super neat idea for a Captain Swan kid fic, but I don't see myself ever finishing that one.
16. What are your writing strengths?
Henry's POV apparently haha. I'm just gonna spend the rest of my existence writing everything from Henry's point of view, and I'll be fine.
But honestly, as much as I never realized it, I think the dialogue is one of my major strengths. It took a friend @oneofthewednesdays complimenting me on my dialogue as well as hearing a podfic of one of my works to convince me that the dialogue I write feels pretty genuine and authentic.
17. What are your writing weaknesses?
Writing anything except one shots lol. I'm working on something now that might become my first real multichapter fic that isn't cowritten, and I'm really excited, but also terrified that I won't finish it.
18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language for a fic?
I've done this! And I've received a ton of positive feedback from native speakers that I did it justice, which made me feel so good.
19. First fandom you ever wrote for?
Pirates of the Caribbean.
20. Favorite fic you’ve ever written?
Oh gosh. It's like asking me to choose my favorite child. But as many fics as I've written in the months since joining the RWRB fandom and as immensely proud of them as I am, my heart keeps coming back to quite possibly the best line I've ever written.
“Fuck,” is all that he can say, but even that tastes of Alex, of top shelf whiskey and the cinnamon he always adds to his coffee. Alex had spoken the word into Henry’s mouth on countless occasions, so he was all-too-familiar with the way it slipped off of his tongue so smoothly, as if the letters themselves were forged together just for him by some foul-mouthed god who knew the damage such a word might wreak in the possession of someone as fearless as Alexander Claremont-Diaz.
And this line lives in a little post lake house fic, the second fic I ever published in the RWRB fandom, called What If I Do?
Uncertain who's already done this, so I'm gonna leave this as an open tag for anyone who sees it and wants to share their incredible writing background with the world!

As a fellow Aquarius I love that you can't follow the rules. I was gonna ask top ten but thought that might be to much. I am interested in your whole top 18 though. My top shows are in no order
Cold case. I honestly lost count of how many times I have watched this show.
Suits. This show introduced me into the fanfic world and I haven't been able to leave.
House. Grew up watching this show. It will always be one of my favorites.
White Collar. Just did a rewatch and I still holds up.
New York undercover. I used to watch this with my dad. So I reminds me of that time.
Resurrection Blvd. Again something I watched with my dad. But I love boxing and hate that I can't find it on streaming. I own the first season on DVD so manly thats what I'll watch.
The Mandalorian. Honestly hadn't watched anything star wars ever but my little brother was obsessed. He had heard about it and since he wasn't able to watch had me write him about it. I needed up really liking it.
Currently watching the new percy jackson series and am liking it so far. Also started The Rookie and am enjoying it.
Ok I just realized I like mostly crime shows. That would make since given my childhood of watching America's most wanted every Saturday night. Also documentaries but those aren't tv shows.
I need some fluffy shows any recommendations? I have never really looked into them.
Yes, I definitely see the trend! I have not seen any of the shows you’ve listed unfortunately. I did go through a true crime phase but that was more with documentaries and podcasts. For a time I was really into SVU and all of the ‘Chicago’ shows (Chi Fire/Med/PD) but that’s about it. White Collar interests me a little because after Fellow Travelers I’m kind of jonesing for any Matt Bomer content.
Anyway… for the remaining faves that didn’t make the cut. Here they are in no particular order…
Boardwalk Empire- of the two post WW1/roaring 20s era tales, this one pulls me in more- the music, the costumes, characters, the feel of it all. Even though it’s the underworld of the prohibition era, it’s more enticing.
Peaky Blinders- The darker, grittier and slightly more violent post WW1/prohibition era tale from across the pond.
*Downton Abbey- For Violet Crawley’s clap backs alone.
*Call The Midwives- I don’t have kids, don’t want kids and don’t particularly care for them but somehow a show about nuns delivering babies in the East End of London in the 50s just fills me with joy.
Deadwood- Wild West shenanigans and they say fuck a lot. Like, a lot. The interactions between Al Swearengen and Mr. Wu is worth the price of admission. Basically just anytime Al is on screen is gold.
*I Love Lucy- I grew up watching Nick at Nite and loved all those classic B&W sitcoms but Lucy was always my fave.
*Our Flag Means Death- gay pirates, what’s not to love?
Sons of Anarchy- motorcycles, mayhem & murder. It’s a wild fucking ride, but worth every mile—buckle up.
*Shrinking—a show so brilliantly funny with such a stellar ensemble cast you almost forget it’s about a family dealing with grief. It’s a bit of a slow starter but stick with it for the real payoff. Harrison Ford high on gummies was a high point for sure.
*Sex Education- worst name for a show that’s about so much more than that title makes it sound like. I feel like a lot of people slept on this show because of the title or the idea it was just some throwaway teen sex comedy. Far from it.
*Parks & Rec- if The Office is my wife, then Parks is the sidepiece I’m hiding uptown in a luxury townhouse and I’ll never give her up.
Rescue Me- There’s one scene that still haunts me to this day. I got chills just thinking about it, and the music throughout was superb. TBH I have a weakness for pretty much all firefighter/first responder shows (or as I affectionately refer to them—my ‘wee-woo’ shows🚨 LOL) but this one’s my OG fave. My newer faves are: 911 Lone Star and New Amsterdam
So, I’m noticing a trend with this list… if it’s British or old-timey I’m into it, and if it’s British and old-timey then I’m really into it.
Not sure what you meant exactly by ‘fluffy’… like rom-com-y? Or just something on the lighter side and easy to watch? Because I’ve never been much for most sitcoms (other than the ones I listed) but my last ask that I answered with the original list had quite a few lighter/comedy shows on there. Otherwise I could definitely recommend Downton Abbey or Call The Midwives if you want something to get lost in something with a feel good wholesome vibe to it. I’ll put stars next to anything else above that I think might hit the mark as far as fluffy vibes. Enjoy!

Prompt #19: Turn a Blind Eye
Tumblr media
Asher had gotten permission to head into town to look for newer parts to work with. It was one thing to work with stuff he’d salvaged but it didn’t work for everything. It wasn’t always a smart idea either. Depending on the state of the salvaged parts. He didn’t mind using salvaged parts for his own experiments but he wouldn’t do that with their gear.
Looking over the various things for sale. It was so tempting to just sleight of hand some of the items. Both a habit and sometimes a necessity. Though less of a necessity since he’d left his brother’s crew for the sky pirates he now worked with. Yes it was still theft often even with sky pirates. It was just more often against those that could afford what was stolen. In the Shroud it was harder to pick and choose so sometimes you stole from those that barely had enough already.
Glancing up at some movement nearby. His lips pressed into a thin line as he watched. No one else seemed to be making a move either as a pair of guards seemed to be bullying someone. By the patched and threadbare clothes, he’d guess someone down on hard times. Moving closer to the commotion as his ears twitched while trying to catch why this was happening.
“Hey. That’s enough.” Asher growled when they started kicking the poor lad. “Everyone else might look away cause they scared of ya. I think ya lot have nothing better to do than torment the lad. Bullies the lot of ya.”
“Who do you think you are?” One of them sneered at Asher as they stopped beating on the young man.
“Idiots caught for stealing get what they deserve.” The second joined his buddy.
Asher adjusted the goggles resting on his forehead. “Ya gonna stop or do I got to make ya?”
“Hah. This one here thinks he’s some kind of hero for a thief or something.” The first mocked.
Asher grinned as he looked towards the lad and nodded. He needed the boy to move before he got hurt in the fray that was about to happen. His tail swished back and forth as he was about to enjoy this. Working as a mechanic for the crew didn’t give him as many chances to get his hands dirty in other ways. But he knew what it was like to steal to get by. How many nights he’d gone to bed hungry because there hadn’t been enough or the job had gone too poorly.
The second only turned to look in time to see the lad scrambling to get away. “Get back here!”
Only the distraction was enough as Asher grabbed the wrench he kept in his pocket and threw it. The metal cracked the second in the head and he stumbled before falling over. Not out but definitely stunned for a moment so that Asher could deal with them one at a time. Especially now that the first charged him.
Twisting away from the first’s fist as he now freed his gunblade from the strap that held it to his back. Swinging it, using the blunt side of the weapon to crack the first across the back as he tried to right himself from the failed attempt to hit Asher. This earned him an enraged snarl from the first. Now the guard pulled his sword on Asher instead of using his fists. Dodging and being slippery were things Asher was good at even if he lacked the physical strength to easily knock out idiots like this.
“Charlie!” Asher called out to his bomb minion that had been hovering nearby in waiting. The little red bomb streaked into the space, smacking right into the first’s face like a comet. Down went the man, the bomb giving a rumble as it floated back away from the downed man.
By now the second was getting up though. Charlie giving a warning grumble to Asher. Turning, he rushed the other as he was nearly up. Swinging the flat of the blade for the man’s head. Knocking him back down but not out yet. Both of these guards were going to have vicious headaches later for sure.
“Just stay down, ya fool.” Asher growled before kicking the man in the ribs. “An stop harassing people before I put a bullet between ya eyes next.”
Another warning grumble had Asher whipping his head about. Damn. Someone had called for the other guards in the area. So much for those parts he’d come for. Huffing softly as he gave the guard another kick for good measure since they’d ruined his shopping trip today.
“We’re out, Charlie. Let’s book it.” Asher placed his weapon back on his back again before taking off towards the nearest exit to the area. While the shopping trip was a bust, he was grinning anyway. He couldn’t look away and let that happen. The Captain would understand and he’d just try again in a few days. Or another place. There were always other options. It still felt good anyways to help someone who was in a way like he’d used to be.

Ok Im back from listening to all of the songs u recommended forgive me in advance bc this is kinda long but I decided to comment on all the songs individually 😭
I can't fix you - I feel like Sister Location was the first game to mostly give the lore upfront and not make people do research ? Like you still might have to but it's more direct than the other games like with the marionette I had no idea what the deal was til I looked it up 😭 I've heard it before and I downloaded it years ago but I still absolutely love it the lyrics and the voice 🙏🏻 the way it gets kinda quiet and sad but then goes back to being louder and aggressive 👌 I'm abt to go play it on loop lmao
I got no time - I really like this one, if I remember correctly some people say it's probably about the crying child and it probably is which makes it sadder I felt so bad for him
:( that must've been scarring also the fact that the phone guy (I believe it was another phone guy) says that it's amazing how humans can live without their frontal lobe ??? Omg poor child :/
Die in a fire - The kids' spirits or whatever all being there after the animatronics are broken...aaaahhh I love all these songs so much 😭
Join us for a bite - I don't even know what to say bc I can't explain it but I love this one so much 😭 along with I can't fix you it might be one of my faves I just love the vibe baby and Ballora have it's so sad yet sweet? I feel bad for baby but the way she talks about the day she killed Elizabeth is so ugh she sounds like she was so happy but then that happened 😞
Stay calm - I love the repetitiveness of it if that makes sense?? Like obv they're gonna repeat it a few times but i rly like the vibe when they do + I love how the animatronics each have their own voice too 💀 I forget Foxy was supposed to be a pirate sometimes lmao
Five more nights - Omg I remember when I first saw Balloon Boy I thought he was so cute ☺️ then he turned into that monstrosity lmaoo I remember when I was first going through my fnaf phase I watched this one vid (not this song btw) but every time he showed up youtube would crash and it was just ??? I also had no idea what Marionette's relevance was until I did some research and found out it was Henry's daughter's spirit that possesses it and it sounds sad bc Marionette was made to protect her as far as I'm aware going by the canon voice lines and theories, I like the fact that they put both the discarded versions of the animatronics and the new ones! Kinda weird that they removed Chica's beak when she's a literal chicken but whatever 😭 phone guy omg the memories..."they get a bit quirky at night" 💀
The Bonnie song - I really liked it tbh I like the newer versions of the animatronics (like in Sister Location and Security Breach) but at the same time I feel like the old ones gave it a much creepier vibe bc they didn't have the same shine ? It's a good song the broken Bonnie (idk what it's called) reminds me of a toilet seat 👩🏻‍🦯 I'm kinda upset they didn't have Bonnie or Foxy in SB bc I loved them so much a few years ago 😭
can i smooch u maybe😢😢 this literally made me tear up ur explanation is so cool………… and so detailed……. made me feel better about how i always go insane over these 😢 but yes omg sl gave off most of the lore tbh.. u didnt have to really look into it that deep thats why i love it sm 🔥
YEA OMG i got no time is crying child’s song and it made me cry the first time i heard it cause he died in such a painful way… boy got the bite of 83 😢😢 ik it was scarring for him since he was literally afraid of animatronics.. so his death hurt me the alot
i also lovee join us for a bite 😢 the change of music and also tone on certain times just fits so well one times its sad and then it just turns happy again..

Or alternatively, Charles Smith loves his new family and would follow arthur anywhere
(4 pages of writing brought 2 u by me blacking out and typing a lot. TW: Hunting, non-descriptive skinning/harvesting of animals, Wolves)
Charles may be a newer member of the gang, but he was there long enough to be just as loyal as any other.
He found a family in these people, brothers and sisters and friends. He would stick with them until the end. An end that seemed to be rapidly approaching.
Charles Smith wouldn't consider himself much of an intellectual, but it doesn't take much to see that the gang life is dying out. As he and Arthur got close, they spoke of it a lot.
Arthur's new focus on treasure hunting was really confusing. For the second time, Arthur asked Charles if they could take a detour on a hunting trip to go find some treasure stash or another that he heard about.
They weren’t exactly in a rush to get back, so Charles didn't exactly have a reason to decline. And Dutch was in a foul mood lately anyway, so maybe coming back with a little treasure might help with that.
So he agreed and followed Arthur and his weird map, all the way up assfuck nowhere Amberino, AKA Coterra Springs.
The whole way there, Arthur seemed off. Neither of them are exactly talkative men, but this wasn't their usual comfortable silence. Arthur barely stopped, not taking the time to comment on landmarks or interesting animals, they even passed a herd of paints and he barely glanced at them.
Getting there was somewhat of a blessing, Arthur seemed happy they had made such good time and immediately wanted to try and find the treasure. Charles had to be the one to pull him back and point out the obvious signs of a wolf pack living nearby.
This seemed to ring a bell in Arthur’s mind, and he pulled out his journal, flipping to the back where he had various maps tucked away. Pulling out his Legendary Animals map, he showed it to Charles. Should they encounter wolves today, they would be dealing with some dangerous ones.
They made a plan, Charles would keep an eye out for movement along the treeline (as well as pull a distracted Arthur away from the geysers), and Arthur would search for the next piece of the Jack Hall Gang's treasure.
(Charles had broken the silence on the way there to ask. “Jack Hall Treasure...as in the gang? What were they doing hiding maps and treasure?”
Arthur responded lowly, not wanting any passersby to hear what they were out for. “Apparently ‘fore they died out, they robbed some banks out in California, ran out here to escape the law. Buried the gold they stole an’ wrote out the maps to find it again, but Hall got his gang killed and arrested with a bad robbery ‘fore they could go back for the money.”
“Huh, some story. Song don’t quite hold up, specially with Sean and Uncle singing it.” Arthur chuckled at that, “Most songs don’t with ‘em.” The break in heavy silence was nice, but short lived as Arthur set back to studying the map.)
Arthur seemed to be getting more and more frustrated with the doodles on the map, trying to compare it to his regular map, and his surroundings. Charles said nothing, focusing on what looked to be shifting forms in the trees, wondering if it was elk or wolves.
By the time he realized it was wolves, it was too late. They had herded the men and their steeds without the knowledge of either. Just as Charles was about to quietly get Arthur’s attention, the man spotted what he was looking for.
“Charles, I think I found the damned treasure!” He said loudly, and pulled out a rattling bag of coins, effectively scaring the nervous horses into rearing and setting off the wolves.
It was a close call, the wolf of legend was massive and more intelligent than the average wolf. The pack was bigger than either of them had seen. A few of them ran off after the fleeing horses and the men could only hope they would be alright as they dealt with the majority of the pack and the biggest of them all.
The wolves seemed to run at them in waves of 3 or 4, always outnumbering the men and getting mighty close to biting distance before they were shot down. It was almost sad, having to take out such a large number of mighty animals, but it was the wolves or them.
Just when the pack seemed to be thinning out enough that they might start to retreat, the massive legendary wolf made his move. He took down Arthur from behind, and it was pure luck that Charles landed a shot through its massive head with his rifle.
The moment the legendary wolf went down, the rest of the wolves seemed to realize they would not be getting their prey and retreated. Several wolves ran back from the direction of the horses and based on the lack of blood covering their muzzles, they were unsuccessful in their pursuit.
Before Charles could even be relieved by the horse's success, Arthur groaned from beneath the massive animal. Charles quickly fell to his knees and dragged the wolf's carcass off Arthur, briefly marvelling at its weight.
Arthur groaned again in relief and heavily pushed himself up into a sitting position. “Christ, I'm too old to be getting knocked down like that. Creature outta be nothin but muscle, taking me down like that.”
Charles laughed, half in relief and half at Arthurs commentary. “He was huge, I’ll give you that. He was likely nearing 150 pounds, very large for a wolf. Are you alright?”
“I’m fine, just outta breath. Caught me off guard.”
Charles looked at the bag of gold coins sitting on the ground a few feet away. “Was it worth your treasure?”
Arthur seemed to remember it and quickly reached for the bag, apparently not wanting to get up yet. “Suppose we’re gonna find out.” Inside the bag was another map, that Arthur sighed at, but tucked aside to look at after.
He quickly counted the money. “15 dollars, not quite a damn treasure Hall.”
Charles was confused. They had been finding stashes of money like this for a while and as far as he knew, Dutch was just putting it away and it had barely been spent on anything. “It's not a bad haul Arthur, especially not for us. Why are you so focused on treasure lately? We could earn more if we went back to robbery.”
Not that robbery seemed such a good idea right now, after the mess that chased them out of Valentine. But it would certainly get them a larger haul than chasing ambiguous treasure from a years-old map like pirates.
Arthur was silent for a while, what he was contemplating, Charles had no idea. He seemed to be thinking mighty hard on it though. Finally, he sighed deeply and seemed to make up his mind about something.
“It’s quite the story if you wanna hear it. It's a pretty big secret too, not that I've ever been worried ‘bout you running your mouth or nothin.”
Charles smiled warmly at his friend, attempting to put him at ease. “You don't have to tell me Arthur, but you never have to worry about me sharing secrets with anyone. And we have nothing but time, we’ll be skinning these wolves for a while anyway.”
Arthur sighed before dragging himself to his feet. “Suppose you’re right. Let’s start getting these dogs together and I’ll tell you all about Hosea’s plan.”
Arthur did just that. He told the story from the beginning, every detail he remembered as they carefully skinned the wolves and salvaged what meat they could. Partway through, the horses had found their way back, a little antsy but no worse for wear.
By the time Arthur had explained the entire plan, night had fallen and they were finding a spot to camp. (Away from the spot where they left the stripped carcasses, lest they be attacked by a damn bear in their sleep.)
Charles had a lot of thoughts. The plan itself seemed rather solid and safe, definitely a result of Hosea being the one to make it. He would definitely need some time to think about it before he could make any real comments on it. For now, he could only say; “Certainly explains why Dutch is so irritable lately.”
Arthur laughed loudly, and Charles smiled. Arthur seemed so excited about this plan, happier than he had seemed in the whole of their friendship.
“Yeah, he weren't a fan of our lack of faith...Do you think you’ll go, Charles?”
Now that was quite the question. Such a life wasn’t anything Charles ever thought of as a possibility for himself, though he expects that how most everyone feels about it.
He thought about his family. Not so much his father, but his poor mother. She had always wanted a peaceful life for her family, and he can’t help but think she would have been thrilled at the idea of her son finding a ‘proper’ home after just wandering since he was 13. The lone wolf was never a title she would have wanted for him.
He also thought of the rest of his gang, his new family. He would never say it to her, but he had always hoped that one day Abigail would take her baby and find herself a safer home, he never wanted that boy to end up an orphan like him and many of the other members. Them and everyone else in the gang could be safe and fed and happy, and in a way, he felt he deserved to be a part of it. After being a lone wolf so long, he had earned a home to share with his family.
“I think I will. I’d like to see what it's like to have a real home. I haven't had that since my mother was taken.” He hadn't meant to be so open when he started speaking, but he supposed that Arthur is his closest friend now, so why not.
Arthur seemed surprised at his open words, but it shifted to happiness. “You know, I think that's somethin’ I’d like to try as well.”
They sat in comfortable silence for a while as the fire got properly warm, and Charles couldn't help but notice that this silence felt so different from Arthur’s silence on the way here.
And on their way home, Arthur stopped to study the herd of American paint horses, and Charles knew all was well once more.

Poptropica Island Ratings
okay I saw a post on here a while ago and someone rated the Poptropica islands. I remember agreeing with a lot of them, but they only went so far so a lot of the newer islands were missed out. I came across it again recently and got hit by a wave of nostalgia so I’m gonna do my own now. Unoriginal content very good. i’ll put a keep reading link to stop it from taking up too much space
Early Poptropica - mega nostalgia but kinda boring. I like the original Poptropicans being pixely and there is a goth gf in the sewers however the giant green spider scared the shit out of me as a kid and the idea of an aircraft graveyard made me sad so 6/10
Shark Tooth Island - also nostalgic but I didn’t complete it for a long time for some reason.. very short. it has a story but its there is nasty shark and people stuck on an island so make a calming potion. the medicine man looks like he is from viva pinata so 6/10
Time Tangled Island - VERY GOOD AND FUN AND HISTORICAL FUCK THAT AZTEC THO DICKHEAD. quite lengthy for an island but this is good because that means more time periods to explore. it’s also educational but i just care about restoring time. very legendary the iconic just jumped out - 10/10
24 Carrot Island - stupid pun point taken off. introduces Dr Hare and people are THIRSTY. you can dye your hair with milkshakes. i thought it was creepy as a kid honestly. i think its mind control or something. but i like it, it still has nostalgia value 8/10
Super Power Island - very legend like. i loooove the antagonists, especially copy cat but i think i had to look up a guide to beat her because i was dumb af. you need a licence to be a superhero but you are a superhero!!! very fun i like this one a lot 10/10
Spy Island - i remember sucking at this one as well as a kid.  i think it fucks with peoples hair and i only remember because my character looks fresh 100% of the time and this island fucked it up i think. i don't really remember it tho. 5/10
Nabooti Island - it’s based on a Choose Your Own Adventure book so good premise. go around the world is also good. you have to get jewels i think. ngl i didn’t finish this one because i sucked at it so i’m just going off the wiki and how far i got into it. fuck the animal puzzle 7/10
Big Nate Island - who the fuck is Big Nate. i only remember the school climbing frame and a stink bomb. fuck you big nate we don’t have your comics in England 1/10
Astro-Knights Island - medieval knights.... IN SPACE?!?! COUNT ME IN. crazy jester bard guy antagonist. people are thirsty for him too. i’m pretty sure you end up in another dimension or something. cyborgs and shit 9/10
Counterfeit Island - bruh i loved this island. pretty sure antagonist is also making people thirsty. you have to go back to Early Poptropica Island to complete it, very cool. investigating crime is cool idea it’s l.a. noire in poptropica. the wiki says there is a glitch called anti-social clown and i have to say relatable 9/10
Reality TV Island - i think i completed this like twice and i remember jackshit. you get to see past characters tho so very good. it’s just doing challenges. 4/10
Mythology Island - VERY GOOD. LEARN ABOUT MYTHOLOGY. you can fight hydra and other creatures, you meet Zeus you meet Hades, Aphrodite is a bitch. 9/10
Skullduggery Island - pirates are always good no matter what. apparently it is one of the hardest islands which explains why i never completed it but you fight other pirates and sea monsters for doubloons or some shit sounds cool to me 8/10
Steamworks Island - steampunk is good. i remember completing this and thinking it was interesting and weird to look at. i think the atmosphere is was lonely tho. there’s a boss battle against a plant i think. otherwise i don’t fuckin remember 7/10
Great Pumpkin Island - it’s Peanuts so it’s nice. very nice and simple. it’s just about the great pumpkin except you’re there. 6/10
Cryptids Island - GOD TIER. CRYPTIDS IS SUCH A GOOD IDEA. some of it is scary tho. the jersey devil just fucking staring at you from the window was a shit the bed moment for a kids game. also before the islands got rebooted, it was one of the only islands to have sound effects, i.e. when the chupacabra bursts out the box. honestly because of the balls on this kids game to scare children and also being good island 10/10
Wild West Island - the only thing better than pirates is cowboys. i don’t really remember it but you do go against an outlaw gang. i like cowboys 10/10
Wimpy Wonderland Island - Jeff I know you made doawk and poptropica but did you have to show it. ngl i liked it because i like doawk. but it’s kinda... creatively bankrupt i guess. 3/10 2 points because Rodrick is there
Red Dragon Island - i think more time travel but just to old Japan. you have to save a girl. that’s all i remember. also i think there is a nasty samurai guy. but also evil dragon. i can’t remember because for the longest time this was a premium account only island so i never got to finish it for the longest time. that was a dick move 7/10 for that alone.
Shrink Ray Island - cool premise but this island expects me to learn morse code 3/10
Mystery Train Island - detectives? on a train? very nice. basically murder on the orient express except no murder and thomas edison is there and also various other 1700/1800 nerds
Game Show Island - basically Reality TV except it’s to save the world from robots. 5/10
Ghost Story Island - wow iconic. this is the only island with voice acting and it’s to fucking jumpscare you i shat myself.  ghost hunting, very cool 10/10
S.O.S Island - it’s basically Titanic mixed with Moby Dick. it’s ok 6/10
Vampire’s Curse Island - i reaaaally like this one. i like vampires. it has a vampire daddy in it so. he kidnaps a teenage girl tho because he thinks its the love of his life who is dead. kinda weird. he does stop being insane at the end tho and says sorry and dies. the girls bf is a dickhead tho. 9/10
Twisted Thicket Island - i think you’re saving a forest from becoming housing. i really like it because it introduces various folkloric creatures like the nokken. i only remember the nokken because i went on akinator to see if he knew what it was and i don’t think he did so i added it and it’s photo to his database. or maybe it was just his photo but i remember uploading something to akinator. 8/10
Poptropolis Games Island - i don’t think i liked this one 3/10
Wimpy Boardwalk Island - Jeff. 2/10 1 point added because Rodrick is also there
Lunar Colony Island - space is good. do i remember this island tho? no. i think theres aliens tho. 5/10 because i like space and aliens.
Super Villain Island - it brings back the most memorable villains like binary bard and black widow. you find out why they are evil. pretty chill 8/10
Charlie and The Chocolate Factory Island - what do you expect 5/10
Zomberry Island - the last of us except i think people are just eating nasty berries really. i like it it’s spooky 7/10
Night Watch Island - Paul Blart Mall Cop 6/10
Back Lot Island - you make a film. i can’t remeber it like at all. 6/10 because it sounds ok
Poptropolis Games Island Part 2 - fuck off 2/10
Virus Hunter Island - i don’t think i completed this one either. however it is one of those inside the human body things which is always cool if cliche. 8/10
Mocktropica Island - very satirical what if about if poptropica was run by assholes. ironic since a bunch of islands were made premium only for a while. pretty sure the bonus missions still are too which is why i’m not mentioning them. funny tho 7/10
Monster Carnival Island - spooky yes. people thirst over the ringmaster raven guy too. theres a spooky clown on the ferris wheel. i don’t remember much other than i liked it because it was about monsters in a theme park. 9/10 i remember it was surprisingly short tho
Survival Island - castaway except it’s you. i don’t remember it either lmao. i got out of touch with old poptropica real bad by this time so my next ratings might be unfair sorry. pretty sure it also becomes the most dangerous game tho and some guy wants to actually fucking kill you. ballsy. 7/10 because it sounds ok i should maybe play it.
Mission Atlantis Island - i like atlantis but i didn’t play this one either. you see deepsea creatures which are spooky so extra points 8/10
PoptropiCon Island - poptropica’s answer to comicon. now i did play this one for some reason but i don’t remember it too well either. i was 14 when it came out so. sounds like yu-gi-oh so good. 7/10
Arabian Nights Island - didn’t play it i think it’s just telling the story. it’s a cool story so 7/10
Galactic Hotdogs Island - what the fuck 1/10
Mystery of The Map Island - vikings are cool. island seems very short tho. 5/10
Timmy Failure Island - who the fuck. this would be more impactful if i read these fucking things but i don’t. who the fuck are you timmy. i guess it’s called failure for a reason. (that was mean sorry) 1/10
Escape from Pelican Rock Island - prison break, nice idea. you have like a twin in this one. seems a bit repetitive sometimes tho. theres like 7 days of doing similar things. 6/10
Monkey Wrench Island - it was created to be the new tutorial, i.e. an actual tutorial rather than Early Poptropica. very fast and boring, especially if you already know everything. 2/10
Crisis Caverns Island - i know nothing about this. even the wiki is incomplete. maybe that means its shit then. 1/10 the wiki doesn’t even care too much about this one.
Greek Sea Odyssey - more ancient greece is always good. you get to beat the shit out of zeus this time 8/10
Snagglemast Island - all you do is collect coins. another tutorial one. 1/10.
bonus: home island. legit just a hub. points added because you can do a lot of customisation here and pick up a pet that doesn’t cost credits. 4/10
DOUBLE BONUS: the little haunted house mini thing. very good because spooky costumes, spooky house fun little monster party. 10/10

2. Band Names and Personality Differences
A/N: Hello everyone and welcome back to the CALM Band!AU. So this is the second story chronologically! The first one can be found here, one shot can be found here, and the fic that started it all here! Thanks so much for reading and for your kind comments! As always, enjoy!
Word count: ~2500
Warnings: none
Also I can't get Keep Readings to work so I'm very sorry for the long post!
Logan double checked the address on his phone and glanced back at the building. Yes, this was the place. It had taken about two weeks for them to find a time where their schedules aligned and Patton had invited them over for a song writing session at his place. It was a nice apartment building, close to downtown, but not over the top.
Shrugging, Logan entered the building. He had sent Patton a text and a moment later, was buzzed in, where he then proceeded to the fifth floor.
“Hey Logan!” Patton called from the kitchen. “Come in and make yourself comfortable, I’m just finishing up.”
“Thank you.” The music producer hung his coat up and slipped off his shoes before fully entering the apartment.
It was lovely, homey place. The front hallway led to a spacious living room decked out in blue and white with huge windows overlooking the city. A keyboard, guitar, bass, mic, and music stand were set up against the wall facing the couch and coffee table. To his right was the kitchen, separated from the living room by a bar counter. Patton was just pulling a sheet of cookies out of the oven.
“I didn’t know everyone’s favorite, so I made a couple different types.”
“That’s very kind of you Patton. You didn’t have to go to all that trouble.”
Patton just shrugged, a pleased, if somewhat shy smile on his face. “I like baking, so it was no problem.”
Logan sat on the couch, perched on the edge of it, trying to look comfortable, but absolutely failing at it. He was looking around, just kind of taking it all in, when the doorbell buzzed.
“Hello? Patton-cake, are you home?”
“Oh!” Patton quickly ran over to the PA. “My neighbor,” he quickly explained. “Hi Mrs. Foster.”
“Hi dear! Could you help me with my groceries? I think we can get them all in one load if you helped.”
“For sure! I’ll be right down.” He turned to Logan. “I’m sorry, but she just had hip surgery recently, and, anyways, this’ll be really quick! I’ll be right back.”
He was out the door before Logan could reply. Alright then. The music producer looked around and stood to go inspect the instruments.
The guitar was baby blue and obviously well loved. Logan had done some research on his fellow compatriots and knew that Patton had been playing ever since he was a kid. The bass looked newer as did the keyboard. There was a box of sheet music tucked underneath. A quick rifle through revealed loose sheet music of random pop songs, and beginner’s Disney, Pirates of the Caribbean, and Star Wars books. Patton seemed to dabble in piano at least.
Glancing at the door to make sure Patton hadn’t returned, he got up and pressed the power button and pressed a couple keys. Hm. Not a bad keyboard.
Logan shifted to be more directly in front of the keyboard and played a chord. His hands shifted and he began to improvise- he’d had a tune stuck in his head earlier and built off of that.
Logan loved piano. It had been his first instrument and he had never given it up, even when he got into electronic music and DJing. He loved that too, but he loved how logical and expressive the piano could be.
Hand over hand, he finished with a scale that ran the length of the keyboard and was left echoing, a pleasant resolution to the melody. He nodded in satisfaction and turned around only to nearly stumble back.
“Well don’t stop there,” Virgil said.
The other three were all sitting on the couch, Patton on the edge of his seat, Roman looking attentive, and Virgil actually looking at ease for once, guitar case leaning against the couch. Logan could feel a hot flush creeping up his cheeks.
“Logan that was so good!” Patton squeed.
“I say, you’ve been holding out on us! That was amazing!”
“Yes, well,” Logan cleared his throat and adjusted his glasses. “Ah, thank you, I suppose.”
“How long have you been playing?” Patton asked.
“Well, my whole life practically.”
“What song was that?” Roman asked as Patton got up to grab a cookie (or two) and a notebook.
“Oh, it, uh, doesn’t have a name. It was inspired by Rewrite the Stars, but I just kind of… made it up as I went.”
“We’re using it!” Roman yelled, jumping up. “That’s the melody of our first song and Logan’s going to play the piano for it.”
“Only if he wants to,” Virgil cut in. Logan made grateful eye contact, but now he was thinking.
“I suppose it makes sense. If we are trying to keep our identities a secret, then no one would suspect me of being the keyboard artist. Or of Patton being the bassist for that matter.”
“Being the basis of what?” Patton joked, settling down on the floor near Virgil. “Anyhoo, I’ve got my notebook and I’ve been working on some lyrics and I think they’d go really well with your melody, Logan.”
Virgil leaned over and pulled his electric guitar out of its case along with a mini amp and played an experimental riff. “Logan, you want to play that again?”
Logan nodded and played the same experimental starting cord, followed by another, before starting into the melody.
“Starting off alone, can make the road seem pretty long,
“Going, going, going, and before too long, you’re gone.”
Roman scooted over to join Patton on the floor, reading over his shoulder. Virgil joined in, rounding out the sound with some supportive chords.
“Thinking no one understands. No one can relate.
“You hope you don’t lose yourself, caught in a stalemate.”
“Calm down,” Patton sang. “You’re doing just fine. You’ve got others by your side!”
“Calm down,” Roman echoed. “It’ll be alright. Just keep on going, that’s how you’ll find the light!”
“When troubles come and things all change,” they sang together. “Calm down. You’re gonna be, you’re gonna be, gonna be alright.”
Logan took off, running through scales and complicated melodies, backing off to allow Virgil to knock out some impressive rifts.
“That’s all I’ve got so far,” Patton admitted.
“I love it,” Roman announced as the others trailed off and nodded supportively. Roman pulled out his phone and opened a note. “I came up with some lyrics myself. Could we somehow put them together?”
“We can always try!” Patton announced.
Two hours later, personality differences had become clear and, while they had their first song nearly done, and the lyrics for another one started, Patton called for an enforced cookie break, putting himself between Logan and Roman, who were trying not to fume, and Virgil sat on the bar counter, looking annoyed, trying hard to not quit then and there.
“I’m just saying-“
“Logan, shush. It’s cookie time.”
“I just don’t understand-“
“Roman. Eat your cookie.”
“Yes, Dad.” Roman muttered and munched on his cookie. Virgil snorted.
“These are really good Patton.”
“I’m glad you like them! And there’s plenty more, so help yourselves. Just don’t get a stomach ache!”
He really is like a dad, Virgil thought, swiping two more cookies. “Y’know,” he mused. “We still need a band name.”
“I’ve been thinking about that!” Roman cried. “What do you guys think of Dreamers Come True?”
Virgil gave a hmm of disapproval that accompanied Logan’s confused look.
“I don’t think so,” the producer said. “We need something more straight forward. Perhaps… Variety? Or Farrago?”
“Boring!” Roman moaned.
“Come on now Logan, we aren’t opera singers,” Patton joked.
Logan stared at him confusedly. “You realize ‘farrago’ is not Italian in origin. It does stem from Latin though, so I could see how you-“
“It’s a joke Pocket Protector.”
Patton seemed to sense things were heating up again. “Calm down guys.” Virgil spoke over them, before they could start arguing again.
“Maybe that should be our name,” he smirked. “Calm Down. We’ve said it enough today. And it is in one of our songs.”
Surprisingly, the others actually considered it.
“We should also probably have codenames,” Logan mused. “Calm is a four letter word and there are four of us. It would not be hard to make it an acronym.”
Patton immediately jumped in. “You could be Logic! ‘Cuz it kind of goes along with your DJ name and it starts with L and you’re the smart one in the group!” The others looked like they wanted to protest that last statement, then thought about it and realized he was right.
“And Roman, you could be Creativity since this was your idea in the first place! And your lyrics are really good.”
“I will admit, it has a nice ring to it,” Roman mused. “What about you two?”
Virgil raised his hand. “Just call me Anxiety. It’s how I feel 90% of the time anyway.”
Virgil caught Patton looking like he wanted to say something, but stopped. Instead he said, “So that leaves me with M.”
“Mom! You made us cookies.”
“No,” Logan said, shaking his head, Patton looking grateful. “Remember, people will be calling us these names.”
“What about… Morality?” Patton suggested. “I know it’s kinda weird, but-”
“I like it. It suits you somehow,” Roman said.
“You are the common sense in this group after all,” Virgil agreed.  Again the others looked like they would protest, then realized there was no use. “So is this, like, official?”
“CALM it is!” Roman declared. The others nodded.
“Sweet. I’ve got to get going, but thanks again Patton. This was… fun, I guess.”
The others bid their farewells as Virgil left and the others left soon after as well. Roman’s head was buzzing as he- or, well, his driver- drove away, and he pulled up a drawing app on his phone. After all, they would need a logo and as Creativity, he figured he could get a head start.

Note
i can't remember if you've said, but where do you think your characters will settle post-shift? what are their new living spaces going to be like?
sokay i talked about this a bit in an ask from tony but i’ll just refer back to it and expand on my ideas a bit! especially since i have some revamp stuff more fleshed out now
lucille’s gonna be living in victorian london! i think she’ll kinda miss living by the water though so she might get a place by the river or something. and she’s gonna probably start composing music and finally make a career out of that because that’s something she’s always wanted to do, and every now and again maybe i’ll give her a monster encounter or something since. she does have a shitton of monster hunting experience by now,
her place’ll probably incorporate a lot of the style she’s developed living on her own in her beach house, so it’ll be a touch modernized by london’s standards but still very. elegant in aesthetic. and i like your idea about her and maria rooming together so maybe we can do that!
siobhan’s staying in the southwest. in the same damn saloon, in fact. so there’s not much new to describe about hers or the denny guardians’ living situation; though maybe they’ll like... have an expedition to explore some of the newer towns at some point? road trip!
though i also said i wanted her to get the chance to visit the triassic period location with raptor red and that still stands; i think that could lend to some interesting dynamic development
sara is gonna be staying on the waverider and maybe sometimes visiting port royal if that’s where nyssa’s gonna be hanging out. so not much new to say here either, except that her life might be less... exciting than she’s used to. she might be restless for awhile. ‘cause, y’know, no more time travel, no more timeline that needs protecting. the legends’ll be kinda robbed of their purpose so she’ll need to find a new one. she might revert to more traditional vigilanteism in chicago perhaps or just, maybe they’ll tour around trying to get leads on the organization and that can be their new thing, who knows!
the cats don’t really need much of an update...
dolores and alana are both staying in beacon heights so i’ll just group them together! for alana, it’s probably pretty convenient that it’s closer to metropolis, because she’ll be spending a lot of her time there trying to help the mld get a handle on things anyway. dolores is too content in beacon heights to really want to move around, although i do have vague plans for her to get involved with our Future Location. maybe in some campaign for sentient ai there. it actually might be a good place to continue to make use of host printing stuff
and now for my characters who are ACTUALLY moving around more,
sophie’s gonna be in chicago, of course, running her own club/speak-easy, so she’ll probably live somewhere close to there! i envision her like... moving into an apartment building and renting out a big ol’ penthouse and living it up. that might be where she conducts some of her shady business related to the club and keeping it protected from the organization. oh i actually forgot i added a cool hotel location to chicago; she might rent out the penthouse THERE. and then she can interact with some of the guests and stuff too.
camille’s gonna be living in metropolis still, so technically not much is changing there, but... she might not be home all that often. once the revamp hits i’m really envisioning her traveling a lot, actually. because one of the challenges of the revamp is like... figuring out how to establish mass communication (there aren’t cell phone towers or wifi in a lot of these locations, unless someone icly starts an initiative to install them!) and spread news from place to place and keep everyone connected. i thought it would be cool and make sense if that task sorta fell to the daily planet, so, yeah! camille might be all over the place, staying in different hotel rooms or crashing on people’s couches, that kinda thing. it’ll be interesting to see who she meets along the way
sly, as we’ve already discussed a bit, is gonna be in port royal! he’ll be on the mainland some of the time but i’m also considering... bring in his (canonical) pirate ship and just letting him fuckin’ have at it with whatever crew he assembles. while he’s in town, i think he’d be the type to try to keep things safe and vaguely ordered (i know we discussed him and nyssa being kind of, like, thief-vigilantes) and while at sea he might be doing things like rescuing people from pirates and... maybe even discovering the location of the Plot Thing in that area, so that later he can help guide people to it
cordelia is gonna be in st. denis (or technically just outside of it) since that’s where the academy is being moved! it’s... gonna be a bit of a lifestyle change for her and everyone living there because the people of st. denis. aren’t so culturally appreciative of witchcraft as the people in new orleans are. so i’m interested to play with the conflict of her and the coven kinda... clashing with some of the locals, and what kind of plot stuff that might draw to the area. they might ESPECIALLY get off to a bad start because fate and i are planning on implementing venomplot soon after the revamp, so like. whoops if cordelia bonded with the symbiote gets noticed somewhere in town,
susie and villanelle are both gonna live in paris! fuckin’ naturally.
susie... despite the fact that she could live pretty much anywhere if she wanted to, probably would be happy with somewhere pretty modest. she really isn’t used to anything lavish. although one thing i was definitely considering was having her start some kind of dance academy there, so maybe she’ll live there if that becomes a thing?? what’s really nostalgic for her about paris is that it’s... pretty much stuck in the time period she comes from, too, so there’ll be that to grapple with
and villanelle. honestly i have this whole complicated thing in my head for how villanelle operates on denny, the hoops she jumps through to keep herself under the radar. essentially the situation is going to be: she has a pretty standard apartment in metropolis, which is the address her rifter id is registered to, and the place she’d bring anyone who was like, casually visiting her or whatever. that apartment is... she takes care to make it appear lived in, but it’s pretty standard and impersonal.
her flat in paris is not registered under her name, is much harder to track, and far fewer people get to see it, but it is definitely more resembling of a place she’d actually call home. it’s very... her, very similar to the place she has in canon, probably. expensive and stylish and ~trendy~, very much a 25 year old girl’s apartment if you discount the weapons she keeps in the drawers. i still think it’d be funny if fox had to live with her for a bit as a parallel to him taking in her younger self,
i’m not quite sure where laura will end up yet; i’m considering a few options. one is -- i haven’t set the details of this particular location in stone yet, but she might be an interesting candidate to hang out in whatever fantasy world we develop! because technically, she’s more magical than anything else. i’m also vaguely considering london or future world for her (and she should definitely have an encounter with those fucking. zombie people who live outside of st. denis, FEAR) but yeah we’ll see. might depend on who she falls in with.

Dead Players Tell All Tales
Pirates! One of my favorite things, sadly in my least favorite world so far. Haul anchor and drop sail cause this is gonna be a long voyage.
Story:
Fusing “A Pirate’s Life” with exposition actually does a great job at engaging us while telling us where we are inside the films story. Though I must admit the song lingers on a little too long.
We find ourselves inside Davy Jone’s locker as we start the level, so that places us at the third movie. Most of my problems with the story of this world stem from this choice. Even if you did watch all of the films, there is a lack of build up towards the climax at the end of the world. We have almost no time to bond with characters, set the stakes, or build dramatic tension before the final fight. Hell, if you don’t remember the movie well you would be completely lost as to what was going on! Right before the final fight Elizabeth makes a rousing speech spouting of freedom and the need to fight. If you didn’t understand why they needed a speech to boost morale and turn the tides of battle then this speech has no emotional weight.
In particular Jack is devoid of all of the charm and precociousness we saw in the films and the voice actor for Davy Jones seems far off (Hard to live up to the great actor who portrayed him in the film). This was one of the instances with which I feel like it would’ve been better not to go with the film as the story and instead just have a fun high seas adventure with Captain Jack.
So the story of the film doesn’t transfer over well, let’s focus on the other aspect of it. Luxord shows up periodically trying to figure out about a mysterious black box the organization has been looking for. His interactions with Jack and use of the parley gag were actually quite fun and I felt like Jack and Luxord mixed well together. Of course the black box wasn’t what he was looking for and he quickly made his escape, though I liked that they decided to have him show up at all. Over-arcing story seems to be gaining a little steam.
Design:
KH2′s design of Port Royal always seemed off to me. Having live action transferred over would be fine, but they went with the grittier more realistic look rather than making them more cartoonish. While the bump in graphics mitigates this a little, the world still looks awkward and out of place compared to the aesthetic of Sora and the gang.
All of the characters eyes seemed glossy and reflective in a strange way. Their faces also conveyed much less emotions so the already unemotional story was not helped by the characters all looking apathetic.
The design of Port Royal felt the same to the town in Tangled, filled with characters and life. The islands and water themselves looked gorgeous, the newer engine really showing its power.
Mechanics:
Oh god where to start...
The aerial combat towards the start of the level was actually rather fun. Bouncing from heartless to heartless while shooting at the larger dinosaur bird thing felt like a good culmination of multiple mechanics: R1 movement and classic mounted combat. My issue comes in with how slowly I was able to move while mounted. The ability to boost forward to more easily catch up with the bird pterodactyl thingie would’ve given made me feel like I was setting the pace of the combat, and not the flying undead bird thingie. (I could’ve looked up what it was called, but I didn’t)
I release a large exasperated sigh and have horror flashbacks to KH1′s Atlantis as I start writing this next piece. Now, to be fair, the underwater combat/section was much more merciful than KH1. Mainly because it was short. The combat felt stagnant and forced as we were unable to form change or swap out our keyblades. Have a really great mechanic? Nope, throw that shit away and give us a single combo to spam over and over as we flop around not controlling where Sora goes. Though I did really like the idea of modifying the spells to be more underwater friendly, but it didn’t do enough to save the lack of keyblade fun. We even got a small boss in this section, which seems weird mainly because it didn’t do anything remotely boss like. He felt less like a boss and more like a fish that never learned from Magikarp that flail was an ineffective attack.
Now on to the biggest issue I had with this level. Ship... Combat... Don’t get me wrong, I have had ship combat in other games and have genuinely enjoyed it. I will be the first to admit that it is a very tricky mechanic to work properly and is not for the enjoyment of everyone. This iteration of it was everything I dislike about ship combat. The camera is too zoomed in to be able to effectively see the battlefield and the movement wasn’t quick enough not only as a ship but when moving the cannons. Upgrading your ship was possible but for the life of me I couldn’t figure it out. I know you needed to collect more crabs and I went into town to find more, only to be disappointed in finding none. I figured I would just use the extra I had but couldn’t find where to turn them in back at the Port. Very unclear as to how to improve my ship.
As I left Port Royal I came across and island with a very large unbreakable box marked with a red X. I tried slashing it, spell casting it, and shooting it with cannons. Eventually I got frustrated and moved on, not caring what sort of loot it had. Chests that have special ways of opening them are supposed to inspire desire, the want to figure out how to open the chest and get whatever shinies are inside. I felt no need to figure this out as the game gave me no inclination as to what was inside, or how to actually open said box. Instead it felt like a red herring and a huge disappointment to my pirating ways.
The fight leaving Port Royal right before the Maelstrom final battle was infuriating. All of my problems with ship combat pulled into one, mixed in with wonky mechanics. The flagship (the final big red one) was excruciatingly painful of an enemy to fight. Firstly, he teleports in front of you randomly, so if you have a chance to lean in and do tons of damage, he will teleport away as soon as you hit the special firing button. Secondly, he constantly spawns extra ships no matter how many you shoot down. Now, I don’t have a problem with this in spirit, but when your ship combat normally is taking down the smaller ships and saving the bigger ships for last, forcing us to do the opposite seems a little irksome unless otherwise stated. If we had the ability to heal or repair our ship in some way than I wouldn’t care so much. I would sink the smaller ships for a little bit while taking chip damage along the way until I realized my plans weren’t working. Instead of this I slowly died twice while realizing that my plans weren’t going to work. Almost no game makes dying enjoyable, with the exception being the Arkham series when the villains would riff on Batman for failing miserably.
The Kraken fight was just as boring an unengaging as the other ship combat, so I am just going to blow past it.
The fight with Davy Jones was also a bit of a let down. If you decided to make the villain of the movie be the final boss, I don’t have an issue with it, but make their combat more engaging then what just the character does. Davy Jones slashed at me and summoned tentacles. He himself didn’t hit very hard and my massive AoE took care of most of the tentacles. Not once did I have to pause to think about strategy or mitigate any sort of damage. Hack, slash, repeat, boring.
Final Thoughts:
This world was a disappointment after having so many previous fun worlds. But that’s also why I am so willing to forgive it. This was truly the first bad world I have found while playing this game. Unemotional story, irksome mechanics, and choppy visuals all added up to a High Seas Horror Show. Even with all my problems with this world, I still find myself extremely eager to continue playing, knowing that the game itself is still a huge win.
Level of Enjoyment: NOT getting a choreographed song and dance number in skimpy clothing (both men and women)

Win | Sicheng
prompt: i request single dad au with sicheng? words: 2.6k+ category: pure fluff
Tumblr media
The squeaking of sneakers was all that you could hear as you watched the kids run down the court. "Amy, pass it to Tanner!" you shouted, simultaneously trying to get the two twins on on the bench to stop fighting. You wondered briefly why their parents weren't doing the scolding, then you remembered that every parent who came to practice just stayed on their phones the whole time, making you more of a babysitter than a volunteer basketball coach. Except for Lee Taeyong that was, who recorded every moment of his daughter's athletic life.
You stopped the game after the next goal was made and gathered all the children into a small circle. Each one ranged in age, from five years old to ten years old. Some were excited at the very thought of the meager sport, others just came because their parents wanted them to do something. No matter the reason, you were thankful for all fourteen of them. They were just as important to you as if they were your actual kids.
"Okay guys, I want everyone to be here Friday with smiles on their faces! After the game we're gonna head out for ice cream, okay?"
All of the kids cheered and chattered, excited about the idea of ice cream. You told them to get water before you had their parents information to set reminders to. The whole time one of the kids clung to your hand.
Jian was the only kid whose parent never came. You knew it was hard, since he was raised by only his father who had a difficult schedule. Still, you wished he would come more often. Jian always played his best when his father was there to cheer him on. And he always, always, cheered him on. He could even give Taeyong a run for his money with the amount of videos and photos he took.
By the time all the other parents and children had left, it was only you and Jian left. This was a usual occurrence, and so you pulled out a juice box and a bag of gummy snacks for him to enjoy while he waited for his father.
"I'm here! I'm here," Sicheng ran in, his messenger bag bouncing off of his legs as he ran. "Sorry."
"Dad!" Jian shouted. One of his small fists were wrapped around his bag of gummy snacks, but the other waved excitedly at his dad. "I can dribble!"
"Really?" Sicheng walked over and picked his six-year-old up, allowing the boy to cling to his t-shirt. "Did you thank Coach Y/n for teaching you?"
"Thanks, Coach," Jian giggled, shyly pressing his head into Sicheng's shoulder.
Sicheng turned to you, his eyes as kind as they always were. "Thanks again for keeping him. I'm gonna switch to night classes as soon as I find a babysitter who's willing to stay the night. Then hopefully I'll have time to come to his practices."
You perked up. "You know, my job's a bit on the downside too. I could take care of him if you want."
Sicheng rose his eyebrows. "I don't want to take any more of your time. You already do so much for me."
It was true. But it wasn't like Sicheng ever took it for granted. The two of you were close friends, you had spent your college years with him. You witnessed he and his girlfriend's relationship: the rise and fall of it. Now that the mother was pursuing an acting career in LA, she and Sicheng had made the decision to keep Jian with him, where all of his friends and familiars were.
It was actually Jian's mother who suggested him joining your little volunteer basketball league. There were plenty of kids from his school that he could keep up with, and it would keep him active and social. When Sicheng brought it up to you, apologizing for a late entrance into the program, you were ecstatic, having always had a soft spot for the young boy. You had a soft spot for Sicheng too, of course, but that's just because you were both friends and had been some university. Absolutely no other reason.
Frankly, you didn't want to admit that you were in love with him. It was a newer feeling, one you only figured out once the two of you reconnected over all this basketball nonsense. You had a great relationship with Jian and his parents, who were still good friends despite choosing not to stay together romantically.
Still, it was a difficult and awkward place to be. Sicheng had admitted before to not being interested in anyone, and if you brought it up you'd surely make what relationship you did have awkward. But you'd take companionship for him and his son any way you could, even if it was just babysitting. "I wouldn't mind. He'd be with me for basketball anyway, and he's comfortable with me. I think, anyway."
Sicheng nodded, a huge grin on his face. "Actually I think he might love you more than me. At home it's Coach did this, Coach did that."
Jian's cheeks turned slightly red as Sicheng spoke, but he didn't deny it. Instead, he simply gave you a toothy grin. Or not so toothy, since he was missing one of this front teeth.
"Okay," Sicheng moved Jian to his other arm, the boy a bit too heavy to be held for long periods. "Then I'll text you with the details. Maybe we can start next week for the new semester?"
Taking care of Jian was easy. You learned that he was a kid who didn't ask for much, and was often content with what little he had. He only got grumpy when he was tired, but he would go to sleep without putting up much fight.
You had a system. You'd drop him off at school, go home and eat breakfast, then work on cleaning the house. Sicheng did what he could when he was home, but the dishes and laundry tended to get backed up, so you made sure to keep on top of them. After that, you'd pick Jian up from school, make the two of you lunch, and then tuck him in for his nap.
Sicheng would get home around four in the evening, thanking you profusely for cleaning and doing more than just babysitting. You could tell he felt awkward about having such a close friend take care of his house and child. He'd play with Jian for about an hour or two, listening to him talk about his day or helping him build his new Lego project. Then he'd take a quick shower and get into bed, hoping for about four hours of sleep before he'd have to be back out for night classes.
Jian was content to stay with you while his father slept. If he had a lot of energy, you'd take him outside to play in the park, sometimes calling up his friend's parents to ask for a play date. Other times he'd just want to eat dinner and color, or do some other quiet activity.
Sicheng would get up around ten or eleven and tuck Jian in, something he told you he liked to do every night. You'd stay downstairs or take a shower, getting ready to fall asleep on the couch. Sometimes you could hear the two boys giggling about something, or you could hear Sicheng's voice imitations of pirates and princesses. It was cute, and you found yourself falling even more in love with him, wanting nothing more than to be a part of his and Jian's life as a permanent figure.
Jian would never think of you as a mother, and that was perfectly fine. You didn't want to replace the woman who loved him very much. The woman who sent him letters and gifts and FaceTimed him, listening for hours as he babbled on about his day.
You did want to be in his life, though. You wanted to be able to take a load off of Sicheng's back. You wanted to be able to kiss him and run his hands through his hair when he was stressed.
You wanted to be a part of their family.
"We're fairies," Jian said, handing you a princess wand he had extracted from his costume chest. It was the Friday before your team's first game, and you were busy contacting all the parents to remind them, as well as writing down plays and positions for the team. You also had to remember to pack all their jerseys and bring water for them.
Jian had brought out the costume trunk after the two of you watched a few reruns of Winx that had been on the television. Now he was convinced he could grow flowers out of nothing, while you could bend water to your will. "Dad can be your prince but he has to have music powers because he can sing."
"Like Musa?" You asked, heart thumping at the way Jian had casually mentioned his father being your prince.
"Yeah!" Jian smiled, then frowned, "but I don't have a big staff for him to use."
"We can just pretend," you comforted the boy. "We'll have to turn into basketball players soon anyway."
"Right! I'm gonna make a basket just for my dad!" Jian jumped around excitedly, thinking about his game with the other children.
You thought about it too, wondering if your team would be okay. They were all still young, what if they got stage fright and refused to play? What if they got laughed at? What if you were too harsh on them and they hated you as a coach?
"Mommy is coming too!" Jian suddenly said. "Dad said she wouldn't miss it for the world!"
You already knew this, since Sicheng had informed you that Jian's mother would be flying in for the game. "That's great, Jian. You can make a basket for both of them."
"For you too!" Jian grabbed a tiara and set it unevenly on your head. "Since I love you a lot."
You had to blink rapidly to keep the tears from falling. You really adored this family, and even with the strange arrangements and complications, you still wished with all of your heart that you could tell Sicheng how you felt.
"Thirty seconds left," the announcer's voice sounded over the speakers.
You barely heard him. You couldn't hear anything other than your own coaching to the kids, your own encouraging praise when they dribbled or attempted a basket. Chills ran up and down your arms as you noticed the scoreboard. Your team was in the lead. If your kids played defense well enough, you guys would win. It'd be their first win ever.
"Ten seconds!"
The kids were doing great. Everyone was sharing. No one hogged the ball. Jian was a little star out there, and you realized that he could play defense a lot better than he could shoot. You'd have to praise him for that after the game.
"And that's the fourth quarter..." you didn't hear anything else besides your own excited shouts. You clapped for all of your kids and made them form a line to greet the other players. You smiled with pride as they all giddily congratulated each other. Even the kids from the other team weren't upset, still high off of adrenaline.
"Good game," you shook the other coach's hand.
Ten grinned ear to ear, "It was close wasn't it? Your kids are amazing."
"Yours too," you said, "they've got great teamwork. I was sure we were gonna lose."
You two spoke until a few parents ushered Ten away. Soon he was surrounded by kids, all tugging on his shirt in an effort to be noticed and congratulated.
"Y/n!" Sicheng ran up, hugging you gently.
You returned it, wrapping your arms right around his lithe form, appreciating the warmth of his body. "Hey, Sicheng. Where did Jian go? We were gonna take all the kids out for ice cream."
Sicheng looked nervous. "Oh, since his mom's flying back tonight I told them to spend some time together. He's still getting used to not seeing her as often, so I want him to get as much time as he can."
"Of course. That's always important. I guess I'll see you at the house later then?"
"Oh, um, actually I thought I could come with you for the ice cream? Just to keep you company or whatever."
You wanted to ask why you needed company when you'd be with thirteen kids and their parents, but Sicheng looked more nervous than usual. His ears were stained pink and he kept scratching his nape, and avoiding your eyes. "Okay. It'd be nice to sit with someone, since all the kids usually just sit with their parents."
The two of you walked out together, and he decided to drive you since you could always come back and get your car.
You felt nervous being in the car with him. Aside from the quiet cd player that still played children's songs, everything was silent.
Sicheng broke it suddenly, "Do you ever get lonely? Being around so many families and kids and stuff? Do you ever think about it?"
I think about it all the time. I think about having a family with you.
"Sometimes. I've got you and Jian though, so it's okay."
Sicheng reached his hand over the console and felt around for yours, his eyes never leaving the road. You gave him your hand and he squeezed it gently, not letting go. "Do you... Well, I know it's weird because I'm still close friends with his mother, and Jian won't think of you as his mother, but sometimes... I don't know, sometimes I wonder if you ever think about being with us. With me, specifically."
You felt frozen. There was no way he was saying what you thought he was saying. "You think about us? As a couple?"
Sicheng must've taken your question as a negative, because he quickly jerked his hand from yours. "I'm sorry for making you uncomfortable, I just see how much he likes you. And I know how much I like you, so sometimes I catch myself hoping you feel the same way."
He pulled into the parking lot of the ice cream parlor and paused, slowly taking the key out of the ignition. No other families had arrived yet, so you'd wait until they did to go in. "I can just drop you off and pick you up later," Sicheng suddenly rushed, looking at you. "I understand if you don't like me or want this—"
You leaned over the console and kissed him, one hand keeping your balance while the other found itself creeping up towards his hair, so that you could finally run your fingers through it. He kissed you back after the initial shock, bring his hands to cup your face and pull you close.
When you pulled apart he leaned forward and pecked your lips multiple times until you began giggling. His own lips lifted in a silent chuckle. "Please tell me that meant you love me too, and it wasn't just a nice way of making me shut up."
You kept one hand in his hair, threading it through his brunet locks. "Trust me when I say that I love you too, and I would like nothing more than to be a closer part of your family."
He leaned back in, and the two of you only stopped when you heard another car approaching, signaling that it was time to go celebrate your win.
And oh, what a win it was.

Good day. I am posting about my reactions to a reply to a comment I reply I made to a person who commented under a post I made in Reddit asking about Street Fighter 6 and the alleged censorship of it.
>What perspective must I have to be like you? To see the way you see things?
My reply to a comment he made. The person I replied is vehemently anti-censorship and I ask what perspective must I have in order to emulate him.
Easy, start by not being a censorship apologist and stop using "I'm victim here" tone when posting.
I don't understand the censorship apologist part. I was just not seeing this covering of Chun-Li as censorship. I wanted to understand why people would think that it is, but as I am writing this I feel like I shouldn't make these kinds of arguments anymore. Maybe this person is right.
He is correct in the "I'm the victim here" tone of posts. I speak as if I am the one being offended. I guess it shows. I am offended when I am presented with something I do not understand. I want to understand it but alas I lack the knowledge, the experience and the wisdom to do so. I have nobody to ask about this matter. I come off as forceful and, maybe, a bit rude. I try my best to be polite but I guess that is not enough.
You're at least being truthful when you said we'll never agree so kudos on that one to you.
"at least being truthful"? Did he think that I was being a bitch. I can't blame him. I never really understood his perspective but I think he gets mine. He said to not be a censorship apologist so anything that anyone says is censorship there I must treat it as such. Problem is that once I've identified it as censorship, I have no idea what to do next. Do I partake in it? Do I leave it be? Do I pirate it? Do I say "Damn, censored. Well at least I can play it" but would that not count as censorship apology? A confusion brought upon myself by myself.
We never can really see eye to eye here and at least he agrees. Kudos to him as well.
I'm gonna tell you something since this is likely our last correspondence, I never know what gamer gate is and I don't care.
A surprise but I've seen people who are against censorship and didn't give a damn about gamergate or was appalled by it. I know a few people who might fit that bill.
I know the name got brought up multiple times in accusation of some journalists but I always thought it's some bullshit drama and didn't pay attention. What got me angry with puritans isn't gamer gate or any alt-right bullshit, whatever you like to call it, no, it's the fact that one day I noticed that some games I paid full money for were missing content available to original, it's the fact that some games I was looking forward to simply couldn't be translated/ported/sold in store because "they" deem it "problematic",
It honestly reminds me of the SCP Wiki fiasco. How the first comments of people pointing out a joke article as problematic while such themes have been present in the Wiki for a while was a red flag. Then it all snowballed into less creepypasta level SCPs, rewrites that shit on legacy SCPs, horrible new SCPs. The entire shebang. I enjoyed that shit and I loved it but I don't think I can love it for what it is anymore, just what it was. I don't have an analogy for missing content as I've never really purchased a video game in my life. I never really had much to do with video games. I know what region lock feels like so maybe it's similar to that? I don't feel much with region locks as I can just circumnavigate it with piracy sites. Missing content is something I've never experienced. I can't really relate to it but I can imagine it to be horrible. Like ordering a hamburger without the lettuce or tomato. I can imagine but not fully.
it's the fact that suddenly, one day, these kind of loud-mouthed people who loves vandalizing arts under the pretense of greater good start poking their noses in my hobbies and point fingers and accuse artists and game developers for harbouring questionable contents and threaten them even though it has been so for decades and didn't hurt anyone. *That's* what got me mad.
As I've said above, people like those in the newer SCP Wiki do what is being described in the above green text.
Word of advice, stop trying to be forceful and making everyone conform to your standard lest you push people away to your enemies. To quote Princess Leia, "the more you tighten your grip, the more they will slip through your finger"
Forceful, perhaps. I am quite very adamant in my discussions. Wanting to try to understand something without trying to be open. Rather I don't know how to be open. A problem I do find.
I don't really have a standard to have the people confirm to. I lack one hence I'm usually drifting from manga to manga and comic to comic. Maybe I'm just not very good at paying attention. I'm quite flattered they think that I have a standard.

BASICS. FULL  NAME : Captain Jack Sparrow NICKNAME : Jackie, witty Jack, mi corazón, captain looby AGE : 38 in his main verse BIRTHDAY : 6th August ETHNIC  GROUP : Caucasian ( English, but with Spanish heritage ) NATIONALITY :  English LANGUAGE / S : English, Spanish, French, some Portuguese, Latin and others SEXUAL  ORIENTATION : Bisexual  ROMANTIC  ORIENTATION : Demiromantic RELATIONSHIP  STATUS : Single & lowkey married to his ship unless specified otherwise in a particular verse CLASS : An outlaw, exists outside the class structure completely but if you had to place him, he’s certainly lower class HOME  TOWN / AREA : Shipwreck Cove, somewhere in the South Atlantic ( legend says the island moves ) CURRENT  HOME : On board the Black Pearl, anywhere in the entire ocean PROFESSION : Pirate Captain
PHYSICAL. HAIR : Thick, extends to his mid-back, is virtually always tied back with his favourite red bandana and braided at the back. All sorts of small trinkets are tied into it, including a shinbone from a reindeer. EYES : Large, dark eyes with long lashes. Easily one of his most defining features, and he takes to emphasising them even more with the use of kohl to help the reflection of the sun off of the sea. NOSE : Straight, slightly arched; a defining feature but not obnoxiously so save in that one scene FACE : An undeniably pretty face, with his sharp cheekbones as his most striking feature LIPS : Fairly full lips, another particularly expressive feature of his face COMPLEXION : He usually has a very glowing complexion thanks to his deep tan, but depending on lack of sleep or stress etc, he’s sometimes forced to use the kohl to hide the circles under his eyes. He’s always slightly paler when he’s particularly stressed or hasn’t been sleeping well. BLEMISHES : An abrasion on his chin that has never healed, the odd freckle and mole here and there. SCARS : A small scar across his right eyebrow from a sword nick during a fight, the ‘P’ brand on his forearm, extensive burns along his left arm, scar on his right palm from lifting the Aztec curse, two powder burns from bullet wounds on the right-hand side of his chest, several other marks across his torso and back. TATTOOS : Flying sparrow over waves on his forearm, above his brand, mi corazón tattooed across the left hand side of his chest, several others inc. quotations from the poem Desiderata HEIGHT : 5′10″. WEIGHT : --- BUILD : Average build; toned but lean. FEATURES : Very striking features -- in particular his eyes, especially when lined with kohl, and his sharp cheekbones. ALLERGIES : None. USUAL  HAIR  STYLE : Dreadlocks at the front, with the rest of his hair tied back by a bandana, and part of it contained in a braid extending down his back. USUAL  FACE  LOOK : Jack’s face is extremely expressive; his eyes in particular will often betray any emotion that he is fighting to conceal from view, but his usual expression will depend entirely on his mood and his opinion of any present company. You’ll know if he’s in a bad mood: his face is harder, more inclined towards annoyance or boredom, but for several individuals close to him this harshness will soften whenever he’s in their presence. USUAL  CLOTHING : His ‘iconic’ look; tricorn hat, red bandana, shirt, waistcoat, brown coat, belts, striped sash, breeches, boots. He prefers loose-fitted clothing given the climate of the Caribbean, despite it’s so-called impropriety, and has a sentimental attachment to his outfit which means that he’s reluctant to trade any of it in for anything newer.
PSYCHOLOGY. FEAR / S : Being forgotten, death, abandonment, betrayal, rejection, fire, failure, not being good enough. ASPIRATION / S : In canon, his goal from a very young age was to become a famous pirate captain, to earn a title for himself and, most of all, to be remembered and to matter to people. Once he gains his captaincy, his goal shifts to solely being that of bolstering his own reputation, to make sure that after his death he won’t ever be forgotten. POSITIVE  TRAITS : Openminded, unprejudiced, has the potential to display incredible selflessness and compassion, intelligent, flirtatious, witty, well-read, charming, merciful, ambitious, individualist, opinionated. NEGATIVE  TRAITS : Distrustful, manipulative, paranoid, self-serving, egocentric, can be emotionally cold and distant, obsessive, unreliable, chaotic, unpredictable, moody, inclined towards cowardice. MBTI : ENTP ZODIAC : Leo TEMPERAMENT : Somewhere between sanguine and melancholic. SOUL  TYPE / S : Leader ANIMALS : Sea lion VICE  HABIT / S : His fondness for rum is probably the main one, along with his penchant for overindulging of all kinds. He leans towards an addictive, obsessive personality so he rarely does things by halves. FAITH : He doesn’t count himself as religious, so he holds no faith to nor does he worship any particular God, but from his exposure to heathen Gods and understanding of the Classics ( the Greek and Roman Gods ), Jack can certainly be understood as polytheist even if he’s sceptical towards the idea of religion. If he had to identify as one, however, he’d be of the protestant faith. GHOSTS ? : Jack has seen ghosts so, yes, he believes in them. AFTERLIFE ? : I think Jack likes to believe that there is some sort of afterlife, but after his experiences in the Locker he’d a little less sure if he wants it to exist. REINCARNATION ? : Jack is pretty sceptical on this one tbh. ALIENS ? : In canon and modern Jack is certainly open-minded to the idea, but it’s only really in verses with the Doctor that he actually believes in them. POLITICAL  ALIGNMENT : Jack is certainly a liberal in both canon and modern, but in modern I guess he’d lean towards the labour party in the UK -- but honestly I feel like he’d be very cynical of the political establishment as a whole. ECONOMIC  PREFERENCE : In canon his financial situation is pretty dire. It’s not that he doesn’t earn money, either crewing on other ships or, after he gains his captaincy, on his own ship, but he’s terrible at managing it. His situation is a lot better in modern verse -- he has money enough to support himself and live in his own apartment ( albeit with Gibbs as a roommate ), but he often teeters on the edge of his overdraft. SOCIOPOLITICAL  POSITION : A pariah and outcast of society in canon, but in modern verse he’s a regular citizen of the UK ( although also a criminal ). EDUCATION  LEVEL :  Jack is educated in canon, though not formally ( most of it was self-taught but a fair amount came from his parents, such as his literacy from his mother and a lot of his navigational prowess from Teague ). In modern, Jack is educated to secondary/high school level but did not go on to university level education except in his professor AU.
FAMILY. FATHER : Captain Edward Teague, the Keeper of the Pirate’s Code. MOTHER : Maria Sparrow, a daughter of a slave-owner who ran away from home and eventually joined Teague’s crew as a ship’s cook. She gave birth to Jack in a typhoon, and died of illness ( complications caused by her second pregnancy ) when he was seven years old. SIBLINGS : Technically speaking Jack has none, save an unborn sister who died alongside his mother. To this day he has no idea that his mother was pregnant before she died. EXTENDED  FAMILY : Oh he has so many that I’m not gonna name them all. The most important are his paternal grandmother, Anne Teague, a former Pirate Lord, and his paternal grandfather, Bartholomew, who was one of the individuals who laid down the Code. NAME  MEANING / S : Jack is a diminutive form of John, and just means man or boy lmfao  HISTORICAL  CONNECTION ? : Umm well Jack isn’t strictly based on any pirate of history, although there are connections you can draw between Jack and the historical Jack Rackham, if only for the name and the fact that Jack also has no issue about sailing alongside women. I’ve also read somewhere that there’s a muslim pirate with a connection to Jack but don’t quote me on that. Mainly he’s a character who draws heavily on the romantic archetype of the pirate through history -- his clearest literary predecessor, however, is Lord Byron’s Conrad.
FAVOURITES. BOOK : My Lyfe Among the Pyrates, Captain J. Ward, the Divine Comedy, Dante, Hamlet, Shakespeare, Robinson Crusoe, Daniel Defoe. MOVIE : In modern verse, Jack is a fan of adventure flicks, and notoriously hates romcoms. 5  SONGS : I’m just gonna cheat and put this one. Spanish Ladies is another, if we’re talking historical sea shanties, and while it’s an anachronism you might as well put Stevenson’s fifteen men on a dead man’s chest too. DEITY : None, although he was close to Calypso, albeit without knowing that she was a goddess in human form. HOLIDAY : Jack notoriously dislikes holidays. He rarely celebrates his birthday or Christmas of his own accord and is ambivalent towards Valentine’s or Halloween. One that he does enjoy is probably New Years. MONTH : July SEASON : Summer PLACE : Tortuga WEATHER : Sun and clear skies is his preferred sort of weather, but he does love a good storm too. SOUND : The sea, the wind filling the Pearl’s sails, the creaking of her wood, sea shanties and musical instruments being played on board. SCENT / S : Spices, sugar, rum, salt of the sea, gunpowder, fresh varnish and tar. TASTE / S : Fresh meat and fish, rum, anything sweet in flavour. FEEL / S : The wood of the Pearl’s railing beneath his fingers, the thin, loose fabric of his clothing, parchment and unfurled maps. ANIMAL / S : Dogs if he had to choose any at all. NUMBER : None. COLOUR : None in particular. The brighter the colour, the better.
EXTRA. TALENTS : Navigation, cartographical skills, shipboard work, aiming and firing a gun, fencing, thinking on his feet, impractical escapes, manipulating others to his advantage, swimming, fishing. BAD  AT : Trusting the right people, or trusting at all when it comes to his later verses, and this refusal to put faith in people only serves to perpetuate the view that he is unreliable and untrustworthy and therefore worth betraying before he betrays you in return. He’s also shit at romance and sentimentality; he can put forth the effort when he doesn’t really care for the other person, but when it comes to romantic gestures for someone he truly cares about or reacting to a romantic gesture in return, he honestly does not know how to respond. TURN  ONS : Intelligence, a shared love of freedom, charisma, appearance, strong opinions and convictions, loyalty, individuality, strength of character, cockiness. TURN  OFFS : Ignorance, stupidity, prejudice, willingness to conform or fit the mould, passivity, disloyalty.  HOBBIES : He enjoys swimming, fencing, gambling, reading and fishing, aside from his first love, that of sailing and navigation. TROPES : The obvious two are the trickster and the byronic hero, but also being good sucks, beware the silly ones, breakout character, the chessmaster, cultured badass, deal with the devil, the gunslinger, hidden depths, no such thing as bad publicity, pretty boy and shrouded in myth are my faves. his entire tv tropes page can be found here and it’s glorious AESTHETIC  TAGS : -- GPOY  QUOTES : “There is no end to our story.”
FC INFO. MAIN  FC / S : Johnny Depp. ALT  FC / S : None. OLDER  FC / S : None. YOUNGER  FC / S : none yet lmfao the search for a child fc continues VOICE  CLAIM / S : Johnny Depp GENDERBENT  FC / S : None.
MUN QUESTIONS. Q1 : if  you  could  write  your  character  your  way  in  their  own  movie ,   what  would  it  be  called ,  what  style  would  it  be  filmed  in ,  and  what  would  it  be  about ?           A1 : It would be a film adaptation of The Price of Freedom l b r. It would probably have to be streamlined for runtime purposes, but all of the important parts would be there B) Q2 : what  would  their  soundtrack / score  sound  like ?           A2 : insert the potc soundtrack here Q3 : why  did  you  start  writing  this  character ?           A3 : Because Jack Sparrow has held an incredibly important place in my heart since I was eleven years old. He was really the first live-action character I properly connected with, my first on-screen crush, and idk there was just something about him that really appealed to me. He’s also just an insane amount of fun; I know how Johnny feels honestly the chance to write this character is a ridiculous amount of fun because he’s just so shamelessly himself. Q4 : what  first  attracted  you  to  this  character ?           A4 : Gosh idk man everything. He was just so different to anything I’d ever seen before, and when I was younger I obviously loved the funnier, comic aspects of his character, but as I got older I began to appreciate the insane amount of depth that Jack possesses. He is one of the most complicated characters in modern cinema imho and both the writing and Johnny’s portrayal make him so very human. He is not without fault, but behind the bluster and flamboyance and sass there is a very damaged, very real, but ultimately very good person. He’s just connected with me in a way that no other fictional character really has. Q5 : describe  the  biggest  thing  you  dislike  about  your  muse.           A5 : Hmmm I’m not sure there’s anything I dislike about Jack, per se, but I guess certain traits of his frustrate me. Most of the time it’s his refusal to trust or depend on others; he’s very closed-off so if anyone tries to broach significant subjects with him he will deflect like there’s no tomorrow. Also his restraint; honestly the amount of times I have wanted to see him let rip at certain muses but he will refuse to because he sees the expression of emotion as such a weakness. Q6 : what  do  you  have  in  common  with  your  muse ?           A6 : We’re very different, but I think there are some core characteristics we share. Similar things appeal to us, particularly when it comes to our enjoying witty banter and repartee with others. We’re both opinionated, have very similar senses of humour, are sometimes petty, bitter and we both hold grudges like there’s no tomorrow. Our arguing styles are also very similar, although Jack gets into arguments way more often than I do lmao. We’re both quite rationally minded people, but we also have a very emotional and compassionate side too. Q7 : how  does  your  muse  feel  about  you ?           A7 : He thinks I’m incredibly dull lmfao Q8 : what  characters  does  your  muse  have  interesting  interactions  with ?         A8 : Oh damn who doesn’t he have interesting interactions with. Off the top of my head, Esmeralda de Sevilla, Elizabeth Swann, Cutler Beckett, Will Turner, James Norrington, Teague, Dodger, Barbossa, Charles Vane, Jack Rackham, the Tenth Doctor, Killian Jones, Isabela, Thomas Dalton, Maeve Millay, Megan Santiago, Credence Barebone, Henry Turner and there are others that I’ve surely forgotten too. Q9 : what  gives  you  inspiration  to  write  your  muse ?         A9 : All sorts of things really. Listening to music helps, as well as watching fanvids on youtube and rereading through old threads. Q10 : how  long  did  this  take  you  to  complete ?         A10 : I have no idea because I did it over several days lmao
