Oh? He's saying my mistake? Okay. I had started to calm down but now that makes me...that pisses me off. I watched his onboard...He's not even looking at me. That pisses me off.

Kiss In The Kitchen
hiii okay so I have a couple one shots hidden away in drafts that I’m not 100% in love with but i enjoyed writing at the time so I thought I might as well share them :) Here’s the first...
You couldn’t be prouder of Fine Line and all you want to do is support and congratulate him, even if it means ignoring the insecurities one song strikes in you.
4k Words
At first, you listened to it (almost) alone, Harry's large headphones covering your ears as his new album played for you - you'd heard bits and pieces of it over the last year but never every song in it's finalised form. The second time you listened to the album you quickly adored was at its release party; a contrast setting to the quiet of the Saturday sun sneaking into your bedroom with Harry's earnest gaze set on you as you spoil yourself in his words - you could almost forget the album was written entirely about the woman Harry devoted all his love to before you'd met, it felt so private between the two of you. You'd visited the studio several times, lending your own advice when Harry met droughts of no inspiration and begged for your musical experience; You'd been in several small bands in your formative years, playing bass or drums, but had paused that particular pastime to focus on the reality of your career - writing took time in this industry, supporting yourself whilst avoiding the well of tabloid work was tricky, so far you'd managed to find little nuggets of gold in genuine, thought-provoking magazines and had begun to make a name for yourself, something you'd doubted possible in the harder of times.
You'd chosen to keep your lyrical advice to yourself when Harry called to you for help, however. You knew who this album was about, it was clear it wasn't you and that was fine. You didn't expect Harry to dedicate a whole album about you after 11 months together, all of which dating after he began writing it.
In private, sat on your bed and grinning up at him as his music played to you and you only - you were proud. You'd accepted the difficulties that might come with listening to your partner's rawest emotions for a past lover and had come to the conclusion that you'd appreciate his work simply because of how much he'd put into it and how well it'd all come together.
That was easy in private. It's slightly harder to remind yourself to separate the songs playing loudly all around you in the busy L.A club from all the not so hidden meanings behind them. Everyone Harry had met within the last few years of his solo career and long before that had come to celebrate with him. Busting bodies filled the large room, many already taking advantage of the bar. Almost everyone found themselves, slightly slurring, by Harry's side at one point of the night to tell him how beautiful Fine Line was, and the topics of each song didn't seem to go unnoticed either.
As you made your own rounds, you overheard the loud discussions about the mix of provocative, solemn and affectionate themes. Some of the group were apparently too drunk to see Harry's current girlfriend standing by as they cheered on his yearning and passion for his previous one.
It only got worse with press. You were still unbelievably proud of course, but Harry had to do a lot of press. Each interviewer cut straight to the elephant in the album. Camille was discussed, if not named by Harry, at length. You adored hearing Harry speak about his own personal growth and becoming comfortable in himself - but for every question about identity and fashion, came three about the clear sexual undertones and soulmate ideologies.
You were rational in your discomfort. You listened to Adore You and your other stand out favourites when you wrote, you understood and trusted that Harry had moved on, you'd been together for almost a year and he's told you weeks before then when you were just new friends that he knew he was ready again after months of working on himself.
You just couldn't deal with one song.
Breaking up and having sex you could deal with, you could enjoy the final work. They were normal things that people went through and wrote about. But the first sign of love? The sweet, endearing start of a relationship that he was so clearly ardent about - as if his feeling were a lot fresher than you'd imagine for a relationship that started and ended months ago.
Sunflower Vol.6 was beautiful, but as hard as you tried, you couldn't just see it objectively. You felt it so concentrated, and it hurt like fucking hell.
- - -
"Do we have any mango?" Harry calls from the kitchen, the click of the fridge opening quietly behind him. "Never mind found it!"
You smile at his domestic charm as you work on you most recent piece; it's been taking up a lot of time, creeping into your weekend which hadn't gone unnoticed by Harry as he had returned from the morning run you usually went on as a couple. A few moments later, after the loud whirring of the blender stopped, a pinky-orange smoothie is placed beside you and kiss pressed to the side of your head.
"When're you gon'a be done?" He murmurs against your ear, curls flopping down onto your own.
He's just finished his last week of press, ending with Howard Stern who seemed eager to remind Harry, constantly, of all the women he could have. You weren't particularly public yet so you couldn't really blame him for assuming Harry would be starting a new relationship soon. It just added to the frustration you'd been careful not to disclose over the long period of promo for the album.
"I wanna finish this today so we're both free after we fly back, I'jus need a little time alone, yeah?" A low grumble and a "yeah" was the only response he gave and he removes himself to the other side of the big living room to lay down on the sofa and slurp his breakfast.
Your deadline is Monday but tomorrow morning you're flying back to London and driving up to Holmes Chapel to spend time with Harry's family before he was away on tour for months so you were eager to be free from work.
Hours tick by, you're stuck in the spiral of the final edit. There were a few words that you couldn't quite tweak how you wanted them, as always. You got up to make lunch.
As you pass through the living room you expect to see Harry's body sprawled across the sofa napping, but only a bundle of throw blankets lay where he had been. His journal sits abandoned on the side table, propped open by a loose pen. You can see the scribbling of new song ideas and the beginnings of a poem, smiling to yourself you walk through to the kitchen - still no Harry.
Humming to yourself you open the fridge door, moving your hips slightly as you retrieve all the ingredients of a sandwich for you and Harry. Domestic moments like these were hard to come by in the midst of album releases and pre-tour prep, but you're looking forwards to the month ahead of you. No doubt you'll need some alone time after a week at his mother's house so you're being careful not to take any assignments for the rest of the month to make room for as many simple moments like this as possible once you're back in your London home.
Over the rustle of the bread packet and the crunch the lettuce made as you slice it, you can hear Harry's voice approaching from down the hall.
"Well thanks, mate-yeah..yeah we've gotta get drinks sometime it's been too long." He has the smile on his face that tells you it was another old friend calling to congratulate him on his album, probably a fellow musician from the early days.
Harry makes his way to your side, watching as you layer food into your sandwiches and steals a shred of lettuce. You can hear the other voice now - a clear English drawl you recognise as Ed. You've met a couple times and he's one of the most genuine men you've met, you much prefer him over some of the industry people Harry has to mingle with.
"Oh, dude and the mushrooms!" You giggle as you hear Ed laugh down the line at Harry. "I can't say I didn't guess something was up."
"Thanks, man - like what?" Harry chuckles back, sneaking more sandwich scraps as you slice a knife through them and dish them up.
"Um, the whole end of sunflower - are you really gonna do that live?" At the mention of the song, you feel your shoulders tense slightly. You're really trying to be a good girlfriend and support Harry - but that song just hits different, you trust Harry's love but you can't help but wonder if he has any feelings left over for Camille...
"If I have to!" Harry continues to joke, not noticing your discomfort or at least not mentioning it."Look, Ed, I gotta go but it was great talking to you"...
Harry's voice drones into the background as you take your plate and make your way back to your laptop, huffing as you're reminded of your own frustrations with yourself; he told you months ago that he's moved on, why can't you just believe him?
You can hear a quiet goodbye from Harry as he sets his phone down on the sofa and sits across from you at the table. Your laptop is still acting as a barrier between the two of you. You type at the keys, trying to look busy as you write and rewrite the same line over and over, sighing - you save and close the file and set your laptop aside.
"Not going how you want?" Harry asks.
"No, it is just...there's a bit I can't get to work. I just want to get this over with already." Harry thinks about what you've said for a moment before getting up and leaving the room - he comes back a moment later, setting a glass of water bedside your lunch and kissing your temple.
"Take a break love, you've been working all week you deserve it." He hums against your hair. "And thank you for lunch."
He's so sweet and chipper, smiling at you as he takes his plate out to the kitchen and returns to perch across the table from you, hand wavering over his journal as you finish your lunch.
He worries about you a lot. Normally over you working too much and not taking time for yourself or the amount of pressure, you put on yourself being overwhelming. It was in his nature to worry you remind yourself, you're trying hard to push past the hurt you can't quite let go of and the last thing you'd ever want was for him to feel bad about what he'd written so you'd managed to keep it under wraps. There was no need for him to be suspicious.
- - -
Your alarm goes off at 5am. Your flight is in 3 hours.
"Turn it off." You grumble, burying your head deeper into your pillow. The mattress dips underneath you when Harry turns, the duvet shifts as he slips his hand under and wraps his arms around you. "S'too early."
"I know." You love how Harry's voice sounds in the morning - rough with a soft edge. It's one of the first things you fell in love with; the extra degree or two the morning adds to his embrace, he's always quick to loop his arms around your middle if they've come undone in the night. His untamed and often tangled curls bristle against the back of your neck and there'll be a few moments of warm even breaths against your ear before he bounces up. He's very much a morning person.
"I'm getting in the shower y/n, I'll be out in a sec - get up yeah?" You mumble a slightly coherent response as he leaves the room, a towel draped over his bare shoulder.
Following a few moments of deliberation, you sit up. Unplugging your phone from where it lay on your bedside table, you check your notifications. Sure you'll be up in time, you open twitter.
Unsurprisingly, nothing much is happening. You scroll through a few messages from the day before until you come across a video of Harry being interviewed, he's wearing the thick red cardigan he recently bought so it must've been from this week.
You click play to see him smiling tiredly at the interviewer - you remember this day, you'd stayed up later than planned watching old toy story reruns then he'd been running around frantically getting ready the next morning. You lazily watch him answer a few frequently repeated questions until he's asked about the stages of romantic relationships that inspired certain songs. You expect the usual questions about songs like Adore You and Watermelon Sugar but instead, the interviewer takes a turn and seemingly voices all the concerns floating around your head;
"And one of my personal favourites: Sunflower vol.6, really captures the first realisation of love in a relationship, what lead you to write that song in particular, did you write from experience?"
"Thank you, yeah..I think that first really overpowering part of a relationship when two people are just starting to have these intimate, lovestruck moments together stuck with me and I-" You turn your phone off sharply. Your mind is spiralling with insecurities enough on its own without Harry himself describing how he first felt about his ex-girlfriend.
You sit against the headboard, mulling over the topic that has clouded your mind the past few days. You don't hear the shower turn off down the hall as you let out an angry grumble - it feels so shit and mean of you to be this way and you just want the clarity you had before this all happened.
"What's wrong love?" You look up to see Harry standing at the end of the bed. His hair is dripping onto his shoulders and he's wrapped a light pink towel around his waist loosely, concern contoured his face as he peers down at your huddled form.
"Jus' tired." You crawl forwards to climb out of bed, kissing Harry's cheek lightly as he stood unconvinced before heading to your wardrobe. "Honestly, I'm good."
"Okay..what's the time?"
"Uhhum-" You mutter as you riffle through a pile of sweaters. "5.30ish I think..check my phone"
You slip on a comfy pair of jeans and socks before you walk into the hall on your way to make you both coffee, there's a long pause from the bedroom before Harry calls down to you - 5.42am.
- - -
By the time the plane takes off, you're almost asleep again.
- - -
It's 7pm LA time when you step out the taxi delivering you home to your London house. It's almost 2 am here so despite your lack of tiredness you shuffle through the door behind Harry.
All your heavy luggage is left in the entryway as you climb the stairs up to your bedroom, eager to be done with jet lag and normal again by the morning.
You've made the mistake of sleeping the first 3 hours of the flight and now find yourself wide awake under the soft covers of you and Harry's bed. He always falls asleep as soon as he hits the pillow, and with how quiet he's been all day you assume he's already tired. Between your early napping and him being engrossed in the book he was currently reading - there hadn't been much conversation between you on the flight over. As you snuggle further into the covers you realise things have been a little different these past few days, maybe being so caught up in your own head with work and worries of your own you haven't noticed but there's definitely been a...distance. You're just not sure which of it is creating it.
The next morning you wake to the radio playing from a few rooms away. Sitting up you look around the room; your suitcases are still downstairs by the look of it and Harry's side of the bed has been slept in and now deserted.
"Harry?" You call out. There's some kind of foggy sadness seeping around you as you hear no reply. Maybe you're just tired but you feel you might start sobbing any minute - it's a desperate feeling that you're not quite sure how to quench.
"Harry.." You call again as you climb out the bed, slipping a large jumper on over your head, pulling the braids you'd plaited for the flight that had come undone and frizzy with sleep, over your shoulders. "Love?"
There's still no response and you're now on the final step of the long staircase. You walk quickly through the house towards a quiet humming you can just about make out. You must have gathered speed in your anxious mission to find Harry because as you enter the kitchen you slam hard into the doorway as you reach out to balance yourself.
The movement in his peripheral makes Harry turn his head, slipping the bulky headphones off his ears and slipping his phone into his pocket. He'd previously been slumped against the kitchen counter, lost in thought as he skimmed through his phone, forgetting the kettle as it boiled beside him.
"Love- oh, careful." He chuckles slightly before he takes in your expression. You must have started crying by now because he rushes quickly towards you. "Woah- woah what's wrong? Did you hurt yourself?"
The arm that had taken the full brunt of the doorway was now being carefully examined by Harry as his eyes scan you, searching for any harm. His hand comes to wipe at the few glossy tears on your cheek before he gently asks his question again.
"No I-I was calling for you..." You reply, equally confused as him by the whole situation.
"I didn't hear you love I'm sorry, what happened?" He's placed your arm back by your side now although his hands lingers around yours.
"...Nothing."
"Y/n, please just tell me. What's wrong?" He persists.
"No, I mean - nothing happened I just..." You mumble, how were you supposed to explain that when you woke up you felt terrifyingly alone and just needed to find him...to remind yourself that everything you'd let conspire in your head wasn't really happening.
"Y/n, I know something's up..the last week has been really busy I know but if something's wrong please just tell me, okay?" You think about it for a second before blurting out-
"Would you tell me if you still loved her?"
This doesn't seem to be at he was expecting, or you for that matter. The situation was uncomfortable - hearing your boyfriend sing about how intensely he loved Camille and how badly losing her broke him, but it was just music. You don't realise until you ask him the awkward question, just how much it had been bothering, or scaring you.
"What?"
"I just mean...Okay shit I don't mean that at all I'm just tired and I woke up and you weren't there and I just needed to find you I-"
"Is this what's been upsetting you?" His words aren't spoken forcefully, more...sadly. "T-this is what the phone call and the yesterday morning and...oh God the whole fucking flight! That's what you were thinking?"
"What phone call, what do you mean?" You don't know if he's angry at you or not, his hands are in his hair and he's got the mad look in his eyes that tells you he's either about to shout or cry.
"With Ed. As soon as he mentioned the album you left the room and, and! Yesterday, you were angry about something and then I checked the time and your phone opened on some video about the album and come on...you can't say everything was okay on the flight...we barely talked...we've barely talked at all this week." You're decided that the crying is a lot worse than the shouting. There's something cathartic that comes from shouting back at someone who's just as angry as you - but crying back at someone who's just as confused and upset? It makes you feel all twisted and uncomfortable.
"No..no Harry that's not it-"
"Y/n don't lie I-"
"It's not. I love your album and I'm so, so proud of you, and of everything you did to make it and I understand the importance of your relationship with Camille," Harry's huffing now, his fingers are tangled further in his hair and he's leaned up against the door frame close opposite you. "-This album is all about that time in your life and that's fine...Harry I love it, honestly, the album isn't anything to do with anything-"
"You just asked me if I still loved her!" He exclaims, staring wide-eyed back at you. "I don't give a shit about the album right now, you can hate it, okay? That's okay? But you asked me if I still love her...Y/n look at me."
Your eyes, tightly fixed on the kitchen tiles, tilt up to see his face. His eyes are red and splotchy and his hands reach out to hold you as he speaks again.
"I don't love her, I haven't in a long, long time. I had the ideas for all the songs about her before I even met you, you okay..you're the person I love and...I thought you knew that?" He sighs, hesitant before he starts again. "I thought you trusted me."
There's another pause between you as you mull your next thoughts over.
"I do."
He shakes his head, teary and angry.
"No you don't, if you did you wouldn't have asked-"
"It's just that fucking song!" You snap, you take a sharp breath in and swallow the lump in your throat - "I know that you don't love her, I know it but, when I listen to you sing - and talk, telling people about this wonderful honeymoon romance that even after years you remember so vividly and, and that means so much to you,I..."
"Track 9?" Harry questions, seemingly understanding everything you've just rambled. "Sun- oh baby no it's not..."
"I'm sorry I...It's a great song I just, whenever I hear it I'm reminded of how much you must have felt for her and, and remembered all this time to write about...what?" Harry's smiling now, he seems to be relived for some reason. His eyes are brighter, clearing slightly and he chuckles slightly.
"It's all my fault, I'm so sorry lovie I should have told you.." He scrambles. "I, I was embarrassed when I wrote it because we'd only just started dating and then you heard it a couple weeks later and it was too soon to tell you and then I just...didn't. I thought maybe you'd figured it out."
"What do you mean?"
"It's about...us."
"You told me you didn't write any about me though..."
"No, I said I hadn't written any you were going to see anytime soon...and that was, awhile ago." He smiles slightly, squeezing your hand in his. "There's another one about you actually too,"
"Harry you, you wrote it about us.." Harry hums a confirmation, bowing his head to press a kiss to your cheek. "I thought...what else did you write!"
Harry laughs now, catching your lips with his as you both feel each other relax - the tension and discomfort seeping away as you realise the reality of everything you'd worried yourself over in the last week.
You pull away, one hand on his chest and the other fiddling with the curls at the back of his head.
"Seriously what else did you write-"
"I'm not telling." He beams, leaning down against the firm push you send to his chest.
"I swear if you wrote a song about our sex life I-"
"Shhhh!" He presses a mocking finger to your lips to quiet you. "We better be going, don't wanna be late."
With that, he leaves the kitchen, you can hear his heavy steps rushing up the stairs and soon the house is quiet and the air around you is settled again.
There's a subtle hum of the shower upstairs that intrudes but nonetheless, the clarity's back.

Games I’m excited about for 2018
Spider-man (PS4 exclusive): This list is in no way ranked. That being said this is my most anticipated game of 2018. I have been waiting for a Spider-man game to grab me since Spider-man 2. When I was at E3 the gameplay looked really promising and showed that the developers knew what made the good games good. From what I can see they even were able to pull some of the things that made the bad games good a la “Web of Shadows”. I’m not going to say much else for fear of this whole post turning into a Spider-man rant. Don’t let me down Insomniac. Do not.
Dragon Ball FighterZ: This game looks SHIT HOT and I’m excited to have a fighter I really want to get into from this generation. Smooth seamless combat at breakneck speeds and so much source material it was probably daunting. DBZ is special to me and many people like me, the guys at Arc Systems have their work cut out for them and I’m excited. My fighting games thus far have been Soul Calibur 3, MvC 2, and the little I dabbled in Injustice 2 ....yeah as you can see fighting games aren’t my thing. This, however, this is gonna be something I commit to. Come January 28th these hands will be on sale, come and get it
Days Gone (PS4 exclusive): 28 Days Later-esque pandemic centered in a rich yet frightening wilderness with survival mechanics? Single Player based?Yes please and thank you I will be having all of it. The gameplay looks great and just as importantly, the story seems engaging. Yes, it’s the same Last of Us scenario we’ve encountered time and time again in both games and movies. This time I think that may have been taken into account. There’s a somber yet rooted tone that though again has been done before, really seems to hold up even in the brief cutscenes available online. Am I worried that the developers have really only accomplished the Syphon Filter series (dating myself here which is a scary thought), two PS Vita Uncharted games, one unremarkable Resistance game, and Bubsy 3D in ‘96.... NOPE fuck it cause it’s almost promised to be free of micro-transactions and actually be an enjoyable and enthralling experience.
Monster Hunter World: The beta was fun, combat felt a little empty at times but once it gets going there is no stopping this game. Something about hunting a Slug Fish creature in a swamp, turning a corner only to see some unholy being vaguely reminiscent of a T Rex fused with an Armadillo. At that point I realized that we may be the monster hunters but holy shitfuck we better come correct. Really really really deep equipment and tools settings. Your main weapon is just the beginning with perks, buffs both passive and active, as well as a few other key tools also being at your disposal. I got a buddy to join me and the two of us dragged each other through that ordeal but it was hard because it was new, I was still having a good time. I’m excited to see what Capcom brings to their first console rendition in 11 years for a franchise that is as highly acclaimed as this one.
Far Cry 5: This is a series that has always done an amazing job at the whole “Hunter v Hunted” aesthetic. I always feel so powerful and dangerous when I play Far Cry and 3 was a huge step in the right direction. 4 had a lot of things that I enjoyed, the gunplay, vehicles, and characters were really good. It did, however, fall a little short story-wise as well as some worn game mechanics with this being the fourth in the series. I did not get to play FC5 at E3 because that line was absurd. That being said, from the gameplay available on Youtube and various interviews it does seem that Ubisoft is aware of the potential stale twinge Far Cry has developed over the years. I’m looking forward to cutting down zealot cultists in the open Montana landscapes. March 27.
Anthem: This game is important, after the fuck-shit-stack that was Battlefront 2 and the cacophony of backlash that came with it; EA have to get this right. This loot box based online shooter, the “Destiny-killer” it’s being called. How does one kill what is already dead? Fuck if I know but I am interested IF they can do it right. That being said, my hopes aren’t high, but this game will be a barometer. This will show whether EA is willing to bend at all on their plans for monetization. They know a BF2 scenario is totally on the table now, and if they misstep, there will be more backlash. Either way, we win, either we get a good game or EA get put on another stake to burn.
Vampyr: From the developer that brought us Life is Strange and Remember Me comes a new game set in London 1918 during the Spanish Flu pandemic. We will play a vampire (sigh prime journalism over here folks) in town with a set number of NPCs and each death will have consequences for both you and the city. Semi-open world with an RPG and combat focus, I’m so down and I really hope this game can do new things. Q2 (Jan., Feb., Mar.) 2018
Soul Calibur 6: My fighting game is back and this is going to be a weird year for me with not one but two fighting games that will find my focus this year. Mitsurugi, Sophitia, and around 20+ are back to beat the everloving snot out of each other. I’m excited because this is supposedly a “reboot” of the franchise which means a lot of the original characters will be back (Nightmare, Maxi, Ivy, Taki, Kilik, etc). Things like armor breaking are both interesting and worrisome. I suspect Taki, Ivy, and the other unreasonably busty women of the series will be left awfully vulnerable sans armor by the mid/end of a battle. Regardless, this revamp maybe what the fighting franchise needs to enter the ring against the big boys of this generation.
Death Stranding: DEATH MOTHER FUCKING STRANDVXIRJORWTMDNGHF Let me tell you something, Kojima is going to save us all. I’m serious he is going to take all our hands and walk us into the sunlight of gaming where there are no microtransactions, the singleplayer is an epic odyssey, the multiplayer is fun but unnecessary, and the gaming experience is not only unique but has a lasting impression on every gamer brave enough to hold a controller. This game is going to test us, change us, and maybe most importantly: make people rethink the way games are made/designed. The third person sci-fi nightmare adventure will be here before we know it and great Scott am I ready to dive in.
Red Dead Redemption 2: Had you asked me about RDD2 and it’s hypothetical production about 3 years ago; I would’ve said something along the lines of “Fuck yes yippie kai yay mfs where mah horse at”. After Take-Two (parent company of 2k and Rockstar) came out and essentially supported EA’s usage of loot boxes. The CEO stated that “Recurrent consumer spending was the way of the future,” which is concerning to say the very least. I’m worried my West World sim is gonna turn into well...something more like West World. “Oh what’s that want a new hat? 5 bucks. New horse? 10 doll hairs plz. New gun? 15 smackers and the skin off your respective genitalia. Thank you come again.” My once resounding and honestly strange response is definitely more tepid and cautious. GTAV is lending itself quite nicely to the ways of the microtransaction and I can just see little buckets of gold nuggets or some dumb shit like that hinging in front of me or at the local shop. If so may there be backlash, and lots of it.
HONORABLE MENTIONS:
Greedfall: Developed by Spiders, a team with an... interesting track record in gaming (Sherlock Holmes v Jack the Ripper, Bound by Flame, and Technomancer [yikes]). On paper, this game sounds like it might be worth a damn and this is the most publicity any of their games have gotten so that does peak my interest. That and the publisher is Focus Home Interactive, makers of games like Divinity 2 and The Surge as well as my highly anticipated Call of Cthulhu and Vampyr. Who knows, this team up might just work. An open world RPG with online mechanics sounds fun.
God of War: I have never played a God of War game all the way through. With this being my first PlayStation that does make sense. That being said, I’m very excited to sit down and try my hand at this rebooted series. Given the reputation and clear influence a game like GoW has had, it does lead my expectations up rather than down. Santa Monica is developing, Ready at Dawn for some reason isn’t but it’s good to see the original team getting another crack at the Spartan. This time Greco-Roman gods are put aside for a more Nordic feel. The chain blades replaced with a hefty ax as well as a few other tools from what I’ve read/heard. Another interesting single player experience for those turned off by multiplayer and microtransactions. Not to say it won't have them just look at Shadow of War. It does, however, make it considerably less likely.
BioMutant: Traverse an open and changing world as an also everchanging bio-genetic mutant. Supposedly going to have big rpg mechanics involving the fact that your character’s schtick is evolving and changing. Brought to you by THQ Nordic the people that brought us the highs of the Darksiders series, Painkiller: Hell and Damnation, and Red Faction (2001). As well as some lows like the recently imploded Elex, Alan Wake, and the classic Spynx and the Cursed Mummy. I really don’t know what to make of this resume let alone what to expect. I am however excited for something new in the third person adventure genre.

Finding a millionaire money mentor
You are the average of the five people you spend the most time with.
You've probably heard that saying before. It's from motivational speaker Jim Rohn. He used it as a way to encourage people to learn and grow from others' experiences, habits, attitudes, and so forth. He wanted folks to seek out and spend time with people of high quality.
Unfortunately for most people, this advice can be difficult (if not impossible) to implement.
That's because we tend to group with like-minded people, which includes hanging out with friends with similar levels of success. Those who are unmotivated often spend time with others who are unmotivated. And those who are motivated by achievement tend to associate with others at a similar level.
When you resolve to improve yourself — to become smarter or fitter or wealthier — it can be tough to find new friends with a similar desire. It can be difficult to change the five people you spend the most time with.
Today, I want to talk about finding a money mentor.
Seeking a Money Mentor
Let's say you're a new business owner and you want to hang out with successful business people to learn their secrets. Do they want to hang with you? Probably not.
Even if you knew five successful business owners, it might be tough to get them to share their experience. That's because — you guessed it — they're probably hanging out with other successful business people.
Or let's say you want to learn podcasting. What are the chances you'll create a mastermind with Tim Ferriss, Joe Rogan, and three other high-flying audio experts? Your odds are slim. Honestly, your odds are zero. These folks are out there being friendly with each other in the stratosphere. They're not likely to spend their time with a new podcaster who is just starting out.
Or say you want to date a lovely, fit, out-going, friendly, charismatic lady or man but you're awkward, out of shape, disagreeable, and surly. You aren't going to connect with a single person (pun intended) like this — much less five of them!
I even see this principle at work in the pickleball world. [J.D.'s note: John is a pickelball fanatic. When I had lunch with him in July, we had to schedule around his multiple pickelball matches that day haha.] New and inexperienced players want to play with much better players so they can get better. But the better players want to play with each other (for the challenge).
Unfortunately it's the same way with money. And no one knows this better than me.
I was young when I first heard Jim Rohn's adage about being the average of the people you spend the most time with. At the time, I was interested in growing my wealth. “I need to find some friends who know something about money!” I thought. “I need to find a money mentor — or five.”
I started paying attention to people in my life who fit that description.
First, I looked to my family but there was no one who made the cut. We were lower middle-class most of my life and generally lived paycheck to paycheck.
Next, I turned to my friends and saw a group just like me — a bunch of people who were clueless with money.
Finally, I considered work acquaintances. But again, I couldn't find anyone I thought I could confide in who was good with money. Most of my co-workers had high salaries, but they didn't know how to manage the money they earned.
Ultimately, I decided I'd dig deep into my “network” (which was razor thin to begin with). I wanted to make a list of people I knew even slightly who were wealthy and/or good with money.
I still remember everyone on that list to this day. Here it is:
__________________
That's right: No one. My list was blank.
And how was I even supposed to know a wealthy person? I was a fresh-out-of-graduate-school executive who was fresh-out-of-small-town-Iowa a few years earlier. If it was possible to have a negative number of network connections, I was there. If it was possible to be greener than green, that was me.
Five Wealthy Friends
I had to create my own group of five wealthy “friends”. (I put that in quotes for a reason which will become clear in a moment.) Here's where I found them.
Books
My first wealthy “friends” were money manuals. I started to devour and apply almost any money-related book I could find. My “best friend” happened to be Thomas Stanley, who wrote The Millionaire Next Door. I read his book, applied what he said, and my wealth grew.
I found other friends in books, as well. I read everything I could from every type of author.
Of course, I had to plow through a lot of junk to mine the gold nuggets. Even as a newbie, I could tell what was trash (like “no money down” real estate books). In time, the good stuff stuck with me.
Magazines
Remember magazines? They were like mini-books you could have mailed to your house each month. (Oh, the good old days. Ha!)
This was in the olden days before the internet, so magazines were my only option for money articles. I subscribed to three money magazines for many years: Money, Kiplinger's, and Smart Money.
Again, there was lots of junk (e.g., each month there was another “Seven Great Stocks to Own Now” sort of article) but I navigated my way through the crap and kept some good stuff.
Other Money Novices
In the land of the blind, the one-eyed man is king, right?
Well, believe it or not, my wife and I started coaching people at our church early in our marriage. We didn't know much, but we knew more than most. We did budget coaching: how to set up a budget, how to track spending, how to balance the budget, etc.
My wife and I actually got pretty good at this. We could take a family with minimal income and wild spending, then steer them to a balanced budget within two or three hours. Of course, there were hard choices for them to get to that point…
We saw some hideous spending practices, and we had multiple discussions with people trying to communicate Needs versus Wants versus Desires. (So many would try to justify Wants and Desires as Needs — like getting your nails done once a week was a Need. Yikes!)
Anyway, these people taught us…but in the opposite way of what we expected. They showed us what not to do with real life examples.
Writing
Over time, as our little bits of money knowledge accumulated, I developed a side hustle as a personal-finance writer.
You see the irony in this, right?
I held myself out as an expert — as did the magazines I wrote for. It works the same way with journalists these days. Perception is reality, right?
I did know more than most about money, and the publications I wrote for were more general interest versus hardcore money magazines, so it wasn't like I was giving advice on complex tax subjects.
Despite my shortcomings, I happened to be a great marketer (which is what I did for a living) and a decent enough writer (my wife was a brutal editor and made my stuff better, though I fought her changes most of the time) to keep myself pretty busy.
The financial writing became a side hustle. We did this for a few years, using all the money we earned to pay off our mortgage. (In those days, the rates were 8% or so, which made paying off your mortgage much more of a no brainer than today.)
While I wrote, I also researched and started to develop my own philosophy of managing money. My money knowledge and financial habits grew and developed.
After several years, we had our home paid off. This led to a 20+ year run of no debt. So I guess we were better off than most.
Blogging
Many years later, blogging became a thing. I started writing on the web in 2005.
This took my writing and money skills to a whole new level. Now people could comment on what I posted. They could (and did) ask me pointed questions about what I wrote.
This forced me to whittle down what I believed and what I didn't. If I got off track even a bit, my readers let me know it.
This also set the stage for my current site, ESI Money. After so many years of refining my message, I was able to focus my writing on what really mattered and throw away much of the rest.
Of course, these days there are a gazillion blogs and many financial sites, and I read several of them. That's how many people get their financial information. Unfortunately, a large portion of these are written by people with limited financial knowledge and experience.
Nowadays, anyone looking to grow in financial wisdom can hit the web as well as partake in any of the methods I employed. There's a wealth of information out there if you have the time to sort the wheat from the chaff.
But doing so is still a far cry from having five actual friends who are experienced with money — people you can talk to, ask questions of, get responses from, etc. Reading about money isn't the same as having a real-life money mentor.
Besides, people crave person-to-person mentorship in their lives. I know this because they tell me. I hear about it day in and day out.
Connecting with Millionaires
Several years ago, I started interviewing millionaires.
I didn't do it because I wondered what they did to make themselves wealthy. By this time, I understood the keys to wealth.
Instead, I wanted to hear these millionaires tell their stories in their own words. And I wanted to share a new story at my website every week. My hope was that these wealthy men and women would re-iterate that the keys to wealth boil down to a few basic principles. And they did!
To this date, I've published 202 interviews with millionaires at my website.
J.D.'s Note After I sold Get Rich Slowly (and before I bought it back), I wanted to create what I called “The Millionaire Project”. My idea was simple. I would travel the country to film interviews with wealthy people. I'd ask them how they made their money — and how they managed to keep it.
I never followed through on my project, obviously. So, I was excited when I learned that John had begun his own series of millionaire interviews. It's not exactly what I had envisioned, but it's close. (And honestly? In some ways, it's better.)
Shortly after I started publishing these stories, the requests began coming in.
People wanted to connect with millionaires (me and others) for feedback on money issues. They had questions. They wanted advice. In essence, people were seeking to add a millionaire money mentor to the group of friends they spent time with.
Here are some typical comments I received:
“Can you give me your thoughts on this?”
“Can I get more specifics on how you invest in real estate/dividend stocks/etc.?”
“How can I find someone to review my financial situation? I don't know anyone good with money. Will you do it?”
“Hi Millionaire 192, I loved reading your story. It’s inspiring and where I would love to end up eventually with my real estate investments. Would you be willing to talk over the phone about your real estate strategy? I’m happy to pay for your time.”
“I have read, and re-read your story and am very inspired. I wish I was friends with you so we could talk finances on a regular basis. lol.”
At the same time, millionaires were sending me notes wanting to “connect down”. Some of these folks were eager to “pay it forward”. They were willing to be one of the five wealthy friends that people need.
That's when I knew I had to connect the two groups.
The Millionaire Money Mentors
After months of thought and planning, I created the Millionaire Money Mentors program.
People kept telling me they had NO ONE in their lives that they could talk to regarding finances. Now they do. 😉
The Millionaire Money Mentors program is exactly what it sounds like: a way to connect with (and ask questions of) millionaires — and other members of this program. It's an online community dedicated to wealth building.
Members currently have the ability to connect with over 60 millionaires. These money mentors are willing to share their experiences in how to earn more, save more, invest better, and save time doing the right (and avoiding the wrong) money moves.
I hope that you already have a group of wealthy people you can meet with to share your plans and ask for feedback. Even one such money mentor would be amazing!
But if you don't have any wealthy friends, perhaps the Millionaire Money Mentors program is worth a try.
There are several additional benefits to membership in addition to the millionaire-to-member connection. There are expert Ask Me Anything sessions every other week (Sarah Fallaw — Thomas Stanley's daughter — and Wes Moss are just two of our upcoming guests), a Millionaire Book Club, and more! (Not to mention we have a long list of potential future add-ons).
If you think you're interested, I invite you to try it. There's a 7-day money back guarantee so there's really nothing to lose. Plus, membership is affordable (GRS readers have a special price for the next few days) and includes bonuses worth more than the annual cost. I tried to make joining as much of a no-brainer as possible from a value proposition standpoint.
And FYI, it's not just me who loves the site. Here are some comments after our first full week of being open:
“The value of the site is amazing! I have learned so much. I only wish I had more time to read everything!”
“I believe the price of admission to this site is already undervalued! The value of the content more than covers the cost and then factor in the ability to ask questions.”
“Super excited for every one of these (AMA discussions). Thanks and great work putting together this list of incredible people. Well worth the price of admission.”
I hope you stop by and give us a try. But if not, I do suggest you find and connect with a money mentor in Real Life. I took the long and winding road to find my five money “friends” — and even that tough journey was very much worth the effort for me.

5 ways Brad Stevens can succeed as Celtics president
This is how Brad Stevens can win with the Celtics as he moves from head coach to President of Basketball Operations.
One day after getting knocked out of the first round of the 2021 NBA Playoffs in five games by Brooklyn Nets, the Boston Celtics announced a wide-ranging shakeup to the front office that qualifies as the first big piece of breaking news of the NBA offseason.
Long-time GM and president of basketball operations Danny Ainge has retired. Head coach Brad Stevens is assuming Ainge’s old job, and will move out of coaching entirely. Stevens now begins the prospect of rebuilding the Celtics after a disappointing season as he sets off to hire his replacement on the bench.
This was a trying season for the Celtics even before they got knocked out of the playoffs by Brooklyn. Covid tore through the roster and caused Celtics players to spend more time in health and safety protocol than any other team in the league. Jayson Tatum’s recovery from the virus was so precarious that he started using an inhaler for the first time in his life. Kemba Walker never looked right after undergoing a knee procedure at the start of the season. Jaylen Brown had a breakout season, but it ultimately ended with a wrist injury that sidelined him for the entirety of the postseason.
A year after going to the conference finals, the Celtics slipped to the No. 7 seed in the East and needed to earn their playoff spot via the play-in tournament. Their brief playoff run included Ainge’s tone-deaf response to Kyrie Irving’s comments about racism.
Ainge had a terrific run as Boston’s lead decision-maker since 2003. He helped bring the franchise a championship in 2008, watched the 2010 squad get back to the NBA Finals only to lose a Game 7 to the Los Angeles Lakers, and then saw his teams reach the conference finals four other times. For as successful as Ainge was during his tenure, Stevens is stepping into a role with brand new challenges. This is what he’ll need to do to be successful.
Celtics coaching candidate rumors: Jason Kidd, Chauncey Billups could get interviewed
This is an easy place to start: Stevens must hire to right head coach. Ainge only hired two head coaches in his 18 years with the Celtics: Doc Rivers and Stevens. Now Stevens needs to find a replacement who can help lead the franchise into a new era.
While it’s too soon to speculate on who Stevens could hire, there are a few names already expected to be interviewed.
Los Angeles Lakers assistant coach Jason Kidd and former Atlanta Hawks coach Lloyd Pierce are expected to be head-coaching candidates for the Boston Celtics, league sources tell @YahooSports.
— Chris Haynes (@ChrisBHaynes) June 2, 2021
Clippers assistant Chauncey Billups, in addition to Jason Kidd and Lloyd Pierce (via @ChrisBHaynes), expected to as a candidate for Celtics HC, sources tell @YahooSports. Billups has connections with players on Celtics roster, will be hot candidate this offseason
— Vincent Goodwill (@VinceGoodwill) June 2, 2021
Ainge shocked the basketball world by hiring Stevens out of Butler in 2013. Could Stevens make a similarly audacious move for a first-time head coach, or will he go with someone who already has head coaching experience in the league?
Expect Stevens’ first big move to be hiring a head coach before he starts to address the issues with the roster.
Find a third star
The Celtics have plenty of room for improvement on their roster, but they do have a great foundation to build around with Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown.
Tatum just turned 23 years old, and is comfortably one of the 15 best players in the league already. He’s the sort of player every franchise would kill for as a versatile 6’8 wing with takeover scoring ability at every level of the floor while also making an impact defensively. Tatum went off for 50 points in the Celtics’ lone win over the Nets in the playoffs, and also had a 60-point game at the end of the season. Boston already has its headline superstar, which means it’s ahead of most franchises from the jump.
The Celtics also already have a great sidekick for Tatum in Brown. Brown had the best season of his career as 24-year-old by averaging career-highs in points (24.7), assists (3.4), steals (1.2), and three-point percentage (39.7 percent). He’s another big, physical wing who plays both ends of the floor and should be a staple for Boston for a long time. Stevens would be foolish to entertain the idea of trading either unless he can add a significantly better player, which will be difficult. Instead, he needs to find a third star to play alongside them.
Boston signed Walker to be that player, but it feels like his best days are behind him with lingering knee issues at age 31. Ainge’s tenure was partially defined by his unwillingness to trade draft picks and young players for established stars (in his defense, the one time he did it for Irving it didn’t work out). Stevens would be wise to prioritize getting a third star above having a deep and balanced roster. Tatum and Brown are ready to win right now.
Maintain the Celtics as a free agent destination
One of the NBA’s biggest truisms is that stars tend to favor big markets. LeBron James and Kawhi Leonard flocked to Los Angeles, and found a way to get Anthony Davis and Paul George to join them. Irving and Kevin Durant linked up in New York, and convinced James Harden to make it a big three. While Boston isn’t on the level of New York or Los Angeles or even Miami, the Celtics were a real player for top free agents under Ainge. Stevens has to keep it that way.
Ainge signed Al Horford, Gordon Hayward, and Walker to max or near-max deals as free agents. Even if the Celtics didn’t get to another NBA Finals with any of them, they did help maintain the franchise’s status as a contender in the East. Boston is by no means guaranteed to continue adding free agents that are just a cut below the superstar tier. Ensuring that the team is still attractive to free agents will be one of Stevens’ biggest challenges as he transitions into his new role.
Develop the young talent on the roster
The Celtics hit a home run by drafting Tatum and Brown. Since then, their draft history has been mostly filled with singles and strikeouts.
Boston still has a ton of young players on the roster. Romeo Langford, Aaron Nesmith, Payton Pritchard, Grant Williams, and Robert Williams are all recent first round picks. Robert Williams looks like a possible long-term fit at center, but the rest of those players have yet to prove themselves in a major way. Stevens should prioritize developing these young pieces, and if any of them don’t fit his long-term vision he should quickly flip them for another player or draft pick.
Developing young talent is of course easier said than done, but obviously the Celtics were able to pull it off with Tatum and Brown. It requires investment throughout the organization by hiring the right coaches and trainers. It also requires conviction in your own decisions to know who to keep and who to trade.
To go back to the baseball metaphor, the Celtics would really benefit from a couple of these ‘singles’ to be stretched out into doubles. There are a number of young players on the roster, but its overall talent level is still lacking without proper development.
Make an impact on the margins
Every championship contender this season can point to smart moves on the margins for helping put them in position to win. The Lakers were able to develop Alex Caruso, and find veterans like Markieff Morris and Wes Matthews who can play a role on a winning team. The Clippers essentially stole Ivica Zubac in a trade with the Lakers, and seem to have found a keeper in former second round pick Terance Mann. The Nuggets signed Austin Rivers just before the end of the regular season, and now he’s starting playoff games for them. The Nets found gold by trading for Bruce Brown.
Stars players run the league, but it feels like it’s never been more essential to find wins on the margins than it is in today’s game. The Celtics’ roster couldn’t point to many success stories in that regard this past season.
The Celtics have the hard part figured out by already having two foundational stars in place in Tatum and Brown. Now it’s about finding the right coach, developing the talent on the roster, and doing everything you can to land a third star. Stevens has a huge opportunity in filling Ainge’s shoes, and he’ll have every chance to succeed. Just know he has a lot of work to do.

How to Deal with a Negative Personal Training Client
It’s a great day in the gym … until That Client walks in the door.
You know who I mean.
She radiates negative waves, beating herself up over the slightest missteps and ignoring all the positive feedback you give her. If it was raining gold nuggets, she’d focus on her back pain from picking them up.
Negative clients don’t just make themselves miserable, for no apparent or logical reasons. They make your job much harder than it should be, draining your motivation to train them. If you take it personally, your relationship can spiral into a toxic tango of blame and frustration.
But it doesn’t have to. If you understand where the negativity comes from, what purpose it serves, and how it affects both of you, you can take steps to help your client achieve something positive.
Even if your client doesn’t see it that way at first (or at all), you can still protect yourself from matching their negativity with your own.
Even better, you can better understand, and perhaps even shut down, your own negative thought patterns.
Here’s how.
READ ALSO: Five Ways to Deal with a Client Who Challenges You
What negativity is, and where it comes from
Negative thoughts are an integral part of human experience. Fitness pros are often our own toughest critics, especially when it comes to our appearance. When your body is a walking, talking billboard for your personal training business, it’s natural to look for flaws no one else would notice.
If you’re looking for imperfections, you’ll surely find them, thanks to what psychologists call negativity bias.
Negativity bias, ironically, isn’t entirely negative. It helps you understand where you’re falling short and need to improve. But it’s easy to drift from healthy accountability to unhealthy obsession over your shortcomings, real or perceived. It can wreck your self-esteem, along with your performance in every part of your life.
Other people’s negativity can wear you down as well, especially when it comes from people you can’t avoid, like your clients.
READ ALSO: Give Your Clients What They Want and What They Need
The seven types of negativity
“All or nothing”
The client convinces herself that if one thing’s wrong, everything’s wrong. Not only are there no shades of gray in this black and white world, there’s never a silver lining.
Filtering
If you offer a compliment (“Great job keeping your heels down on the squat”) followed by a correction (“Next time, we’ll work on keeping the chest up”), they’ll ignore the positive reinforcement and dwell on the one thing that didn’t go right.
Overgeneralization
The client extrapolates from a single disappointment—like the inability to do a pull-up—to declare herself incompetent at everything, dismissing all the things she actually does well.
Mental reading
We all have awkward encounters with people, most of which we quickly forget. But some people imagine they know what the other person was thinking, and construct a narrative in which a simple misunderstanding becomes something much bigger and more meaningful.
Catastrophizing
Like the Spinal Tap guitarist who declares the backstage meal “a complete catastrophe” because the bread is too small, this client takes an isolated occurrence and carries it to an illogical conclusion: “I had a second slice of cake at the birthday party, and now my entire diet is blown.”
At worst, this type of negativity convinces them there’s no point in continuing with the plan, and they really do inflict the consequences they imagined.
Emotional reasoning
On a day when the client feels off—exhausted, unmotivated, overstressed—they find larger meaning in their temporary emotional state. They say they’re not good enough or smart enough or strong enough, as if the way they feel today is a fact.
“Shoulds”
These clients will say things like “I should be a size 4” or “I should be able to do 10 chin-ups.”
Like so many pressures we all impose on ourselves, the idea that everyone should look or perform a certain way comes from the media. A generation ago it was glossy magazines; today it’s Instagram. Whatever standard they feel bound to is typically something an editor, trainer, or influencer just made up.
Personalization
Let’s say you’re having a foggy day because the baby kept you up all night, or you’re distracted because of an argument you had with your manager. It has nothing to do with the client, but the client imagines it does. It can also work in reverse, if the client is having an off day and you imagine it’s because of something you did or said.
READ ALSO: The Number-One Skill Your Clients Need to Succeed
How to assess your client’s negativity
The first step is to understand a paradox:
You’re a powerful person in your client’s life. You’re the expert.
But when it comes to your client’s thought process, you’re powerless. You can’t force them to embrace a more positive outlook. Some of these clients are truly awesome at being negative. They’ve been doing it longer than you’ve been training people. Some have been doing it longer than you’ve been alive. In many cases, they learned to look on the dark side from a parent, who may have picked it up from their own parents.
You can’t undo that in the two or three hours you spend with the client each week, no matter how hard you try. The most determined clients are more likely to infect you with their negativity than you are to change them.
To avoid that contagion, and to have any positive effect on your client, you need to hold this thought:
Remember, it’s just data.
Approach it as a scientist would. Observe. Think about what you’re hearing. And then ask yourself these questions.
What’s the source of the negativity?
When a client says, “I’ll never lose these last 10 pounds,” it’s obviously not a factual statement. So what is she communicating? Is she fatigued? Experiencing stress in too many parts of her life at the same time? Is it something you can alleviate with changes to her diet or training program?
What’s the effect of the negativity?
Does it depress the client’s performance? If you’re in a group setting, does it affect the others? Is there less energy in the room?
What does the negative statement do to you?
Does something the client says trigger you?
For example, when you give the client a compliment, he reacts negatively, questioning your sincerity or knowledge. Your response is to offer more praise, which satisfies the client but makes you feel worse because it’s more than he earned.
Now you’ve been pulled into the client’s negativity spiral.
What part of the negativity should you respond to?
Let’s say a client is berating himself because he ate or drank too much on the weekend. If it’s a client who’s extremely social, it’s not helpful to offer ways to be less social, to go out less, or bring his own food to dinner parties.
Instead, look for the part of the behavior that would be easiest to change. Sometimes there’s no point in offering advice. Just move on to the workout, and see if you can channel the client’s frustration into a higher level of effort.
READ ALSO: Forget About Setting Goals. Do This Instead.
How to respond to your client’s negativity
Think of your interaction like an aikido match. The goal of aikido is to defend yourself without injuring your attacker.
To pull it off, you have to understand what the attacker is trying to do, engage with the opponent, and then redirect the force of the attack to your advantage.
It only works if you lean into the assault. Retreat just increases your opponent’s advantage. Same with debating the client; it puts you on their level, where the client has more weapons and experience. It would be like an aikido master standing in the middle of the ring with a boxer and trying to slug it out.
Here’s what you can do.
Restate or clarify what you’re hearing
This is a basic motivational interviewing technique: “What I hear you saying is that you’re not happy with where you are right now.”
Now, instead of debating the point, you lean in: “I totally get that, and you’re right. You haven’t hit your marks. Why do you think that is?”
If the client’s goal was to start an argument, you’ve reversed the attack by accepting the premise. The onus is now on the client to identify why the program isn’t working the way both of you hoped, and what you can do to fix the problem and move on.

Detach with love
The idea of separating yourself from a client’s difficulties comes from 12-step programs. It begins with the understanding that the client wants to relieve the burden of their emotions by putting them on you.
But you’re under no obligation to do it. Nor would you help the client if you did.

Final thought: Get your reps in
Your interventions, no matter how sincere and well-intentioned, are no match for your client’s long-held negativity. Their thought patterns are grooved, and those thoughts feel true to the client, no matter how irrational or untrue they seem to you.
But that doesn’t mean your work is ineffective. Those negative patterns can be disrupted, challenged, and minimized. Even if the client dismisses your advice or encouragement in the moment, it probably got into their heads. They’ll mull it over later, like a dog who buries a bone to gnaw on later.
You just have to understand it’s going to take time and practice.
Put another way, you need to get your reps in, just as your client has done.

The 12 Best Known Skateboarders On The Planet
famous skateboarders seem, by all accounts, to be wherever nowadays. When a game for untouchables, similar to the infamous Z-Boys in California – individuals who unquestionably wouldn't class skateboarding as a game – it's currently a colossal, billion dollar worldwide industry that can make megastars out of the individuals who ascend to the top.
Things being what they are, who are the most famous skateboarders at that point? All things considered, let's face it, there are a lot of measurements by which this could be judged. Is it an instance of asking who is the most extravagant skateboarder? Who's the best skateboarder ever? Which skateboarder can do the hardest traps? Provided that this is true, what is the hardest skateboard trap? Which skateboarder has the most supporters on instagram? Which skateboarder has discharged the most film parts?
"He's one of just a couple of skateboarders not from America or Brazil who's in with a reasonable shot of an Olympic award in Tokyo 2020"
It's an incredible minefield. Regardless of whether you do pick only one estimation, some of them are emotional. Bad dream, isn't that so? Off-base! Joyfully, there's currently site called Google (look for it on the web in the event that you've not known about it) and by hacking into its grid we can find who the web clients of the world scan for the most.
How To Choose Your First Skateboard | What's The Best Board For You?
Thus, right away, how about we discover who the most famous skateboarders on the planet are, as per you, the web clients of the world. Gracious, and prepare yourself. Number one spot presumably doesn't have a place with who you figure it does.

Till Boadella – Drop Shipping Mastery 2018
Who Else Wants To See Behind The Scenes Of Drop Shipping Stores That Generate Between $10,000-$100,000 Every Month… …And Ethically Steal Their Exact Product Research, Advertising And Marketing Tactics…? If you’d like to build an easy, lucrative and fun drop shipping business, you can now take advantage of a massive shortcut and copy the secret tactics used by six-figure and even seven-figure drop shipping store owners. Dear Friend,
What I’m offering today is unprecedented.
For the first time ever you can learn directly from the world’s most successful drop shippers who make between $10,000-$100,000 per month…
Here’s who this is for:
Complete Drop Shipping Newbies: If you’re a complete newbie and want to learn step-by-step how to set up a profitable Shopify drop shipping store from scratch, without flushing insane amounts of money down the toiled, this is for you.
Getting Traffic But No Sales? If you’ve already set up a Shopify drop shipping store and are getting a few visitors here and there but no sales…you’ll finally learn how to make your first sale and generate consistent sales every day…
If You’re Making Sales But Your Store Isn’t Profitable you’ll discover how to find massive WINNERS and scale them up …so you can retire from your day job and join the ranks of “New Rich” online entrepreneurs who are crushing it with drop shipping…
If that’s YOU…
What I’m about to offer today is of great value…
But before I tell you about it… The Disclaimer That Couldn’t Be Any Plainer Becoming successful at drop shipping is a combination of different factors including hard work, skills, talent, intelligence and a bit of luck.
A lot of people make fortunes with drop shipping. But most people who invest in any type of “how to” information, including business programs, get no results.
Unfortunately, I think this is due to the fact that most people don’t put in the amount of work that’s required to get results. Or they simply give up too early at the slightest hint of adversity or hardship.
All of my successful students have one thing in common:
They work hard.
I don’t want to insult your intelligence by making any claims or promising what type of results you can get with drop shipping. Like with everything in life, individual results vary. And how much money you can make with this program depends on many factors that are outside of my control.
The sky is the limit, but if you’re lazy, nothing will happen.
That being said, How I Accidentally Became The Head Of A Secret Drop Shipping Mastermind Let me explain.
In the last two years I was able to build multiple successful drop shipping businesses in different niches.
That doesn’t make me unique.
Lots of people have seen success with drop shipping.
But additionally to my own success …I’ve seen behind the scenes of many successful drop shipping businesses that generate between $10,000 and $100,000 per month…
What I’ve learned from this is amazing.
You see, when I first started talking about drop shipping, I only had my own success to draw from …and my information was kind of limited…
Don’t get me wrong here.
The information I shared was solid and it worked…
It allowed me to help a ton of people …many of which built incredibly successful drop shipping stores that make at least $10,000 per month.
But something else happened accidentally as I surrounded myself with other successful drop shippers, some of which were former students who completed my courses and coaching programs …while others were random people I didn’t know who reached out to me to share their results and reveal what tactics, strategies and tricks they were using…
And by the way:
All of them started as complete newbies.
Now they are crushing it with drop shipping …making between $10,000 and $100,000 per month with Shopify…
The friendships that came from this are amazing …we all kind of turned into one big drop shipping family …and before realizing it I was the head of the most cutting-edge drop shipping mastermind ever…
It all happened organically.
Most of it went down in private messages on Facebook and Snapchat…
The value exchange was immense …I was able to help out many of these already successful drop shippers and they shared gold nuggets in return…which resulted in a massive collective learning experience about what works and doesn’t work in drop shipping right now…
What struck me most is that we all use different methods.
And that’s when I realized… The “Gurus” Are Trying To Make You Believe There’s Only One Method (Their Method…) Everyone pretends like they’ve discovered the holy grail of drop shipping.
For a long time I believed my drop shipping method (which still works great by the way) was the only way to become successful…
I fell victim of the same bias all other “gurus” fall victim of.
Because a certain method worked for me to become successful at drop shipping …I thought I had stumbled upon some ultimate secret …and every “guru” is committing the same fallacy without realizing it…
Nobody can blame them.
It’s mere luck that I happen to be at the centre of this “secret mastermind” …where all innovation is happening…
And I’m not talking about some lame Facebook group.
All of this is going down in Snapchat, Facebook private messages and Skype calls behind closed doors …it’s the kind of mastermind you can’t join no matter how much you pay…
I’ve learned more in one year from being part of this elite group of drop shippers than I’ve learned in all eight years of doing online marketing.
The most important lesson I’ve learned is: There Are Many Ways To Make $10,000 Or More Per Month With Drop Shipping That’s great news.
It means your odds of succeeding are a lot higher than you think.
There are at least 12 PROVEN METHODS to build profitable a drop shipping store that all work like crazy right now…
I know this for a fact because I’ve seen behind the scenes of countless six-figure and seven-figure drop shipping stores …many of them either owned by former students of my programs or social media followers…
For example, I recently had a Skype call with Florian.
When we talked he had just made… $60,000 In 2 Weeks All from Facebook ads.
His secret?
He uses a unique product research process.
During our Skype call he shared everything with me …how he finds winning products, his exact Facebook advertising method and how he scaled up from $1,000 per day to $6,000 per day….
He even logged in to his Facebook ad account during our call.
We talked for about thirty minutes.
Florian is just one of the guys in the “secret mastermind”.
Meet Arturo who made… $25,000 In 2 Days From Influencer Marketing He used a genius strategy (known as ‘Arturo’s Method’ to my students) to get a free shoutout from a large Facebook page in his niche.
This shoutout resulted in $25,000 in a period of 2 days.
The best part is:
He didn’t spend a dime on advertising or marketing.
What’s even more mind-blowing is that he got these results just a few days after launching his drop shipping store…
Other students have since replicated ‘Arturo’s Method’ to get their drop shipping businesses off the ground and have seen great success.
One of them is Armin.
He signed up for one of my programs in February 2017.
After paying the program fee he only had $9 left in his bank account, which he spent on a domain name. He signed up for Shopify’s free trial and used ‘Arturo’s Method’ to get a free shoutout.
This resulted in a few hundred dollars in sales.
With the new funds he bought some paid shoutouts on Instagram which lead to a lot more sales and eventually $6,000 per month.
Armin went on to build a team of affiliates that promoted his products for a commission. His sales kept skyrocketing every month …until he decided to cash out and sell his store.
I’ve since stayed in touch with Armin via private Facebook messages.
He’s a former student turned “secret mastermind” member.
Then there’s a dude from the UK who made… $1,000,000 In One Year He booked a coaching session with me a while ago.
The way he makes $1,000,000 per year is with YouTube influencers.
He targets less saturated markets (hint: he doesn’t target the USA) and none of his revenue depends on Facebook advertising.
Instead, he buys sponsored videos from famous YouTubers in his niche that generate him almost $100,000 per month consistently. After the coaching he joined the mastermind and helped out other members…
His method is different from what Florian, Arturo and Armin do.
But here’s what’s really mind-blowing:
These are just 4 of the PROVEN ways to build a six-figure or million dollar drop shipping business in less than a year…
There are many more.
As I mentioned already, there’s at least a dozen drop shipping methods that work like crazy right now …and I’d like to give you the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to join this “secret mastermind” today…
Are you ready for massive success? Want To Learn Directly From The Source? I recently read Tim Ferris’s book ‘Tools of Titans’.
The book is a collection of hundreds of different mentors giving life advice.
It’s a bit like planting yourself in the midst of the world’s most successful people and directly learning from them.
You surely know the cliché:
We’re the average of the five people we surround ourselves with.
But the thing is: It’s really hard to get “access” to successful people and have them mentor us …because these people are extremely busy…
(I got access because I have a “name” online…)
Most of the world’s top drop shippers don’t reveal their secrets …you can’t buy their courses or learn from them because they don’t speak publicly about their successes.
They operate in secrecy and MAKE MILLIONS…
After reading ‘Tools of Titans’ my head was spinning.
What if I interviewed all these elite drop shippers and created a program?
Sometimes I wished others could listen in on the amazing Skype calls we had …get the gold nuggets exchanged in private messages…and join the mastermind sessions that take place behind closed doors.
So a few weeks ago I had an idea:
What if I sat down with all of these drop shipping icons and got them to reveal their most treasured secrets in front of camera?
And so it happened.
It looked just like our regular masterminding sessions.
The only difference was that I hit the record button during these otherwise “secret” conversations.
I then took all these interviews and broke them down into step-by-step methods that ANYONE could easily follow.
The result is an immersive drop shipping program.
Let me introduce you to…
I decided to call the program “Drop Shipping Mastery” because that’s the closest to what it is.
It’s an apprentice program to learn directly from the best drop shippers in the world who have reached mastery level …transferring their skills, their secrets and their strategies to people eager to succeed like YOU…
But it’s fundamentally different from anything else you’ve seen so far.
Unlike all other courses sold by Shopify and drop shipping “gurus”, I’ll take you behind the scenes of actual drop shipping businesses.
Plus, you’re not just learning one method.
But …12 METHODS.
Also you’re not learning from people who have an interest to sell you a course …what you’re getting is HONEST, REAL AND PROVEN advice from the world’s most successful drop shippers.
But let me walk you through everything in detail… Here’s Exactly What You’re Getting I’ve sat down with all the people in the “secret mastermind” I told you about and recorded 30-60 minute long interviews with them.
Today you’re getting access to these interviews.
But that’s not all: After the interviews I took a step back, deconstructed the approach of each drop shipper and broke it down into a simple step-by-step method that anyone could follow.
So you’re getting the interviews plus videos explaining each method.
It’s like getting 12 separate drop shipping courses all in ONE …with detailed instructions on what to do, how and why.
Each method works.
(So you can pick one – or even better – use them complimentary!)
That being said, here’s what you’re getting…
