imagine max killing richie and ruth in hatchetfield high, ready to move onto pete and steph after establishing his power over the school even in death, only,,, richie and ruth are still there. they're ghosts too, bc they died in hatchetfield high, and hh is one of the black altars. so now max just has to deal with them being in the afterlife with him. he can't beat them up or anything since none of them are corporeal, so they're limited to unwanted coexsitence. his plan has backfired horribly and he is very angry about it, but there isn't really anything he can do.

then richie and ruth follow him around and do all they can to get him to stop trying to kill pete and steph, bc those are their best friends, and even if they're dead, they can still try to save the other two. Operation Mildly Inconvenience Max is a-go.

Yeah!! So his transition is kind of mentioned in this comic where Goro pretty much comes out to his mom, but I imagine the original naming process went like…

Miyu has no name ideas so she just goes for combining the names of two people she kinda cares about, but she hates the meaning of Tohru’s name so she changes the Tōru (transparent) to Toro (pure water).

Goro of course probably ends up coming from the literal namesake of his character, which is a detective character. I don’t think Miyu would neglect to mention that Tohru is a detective (post-grad), and perhaps Goro would become a little bit inspired to start reading detective fiction…….

((and for those unfamiliar w the Uncle Adachi AU, Chisako is Miyu and Tohru’s aunt as well as Ken Amada’s mom. But, she’s the same age as Miyu bc she was a late-in-life kid, so Miyu and Chisako grew up as sort of friendly rivals for the family attention.))
