Super Strip Theatre - Shibuya, Tokyo
New Post has been published on https://asiansexguide.com/super-strip-theatre-shibuya-tokyo/
Super Strip Theatre - Shibuya, Tokyo
Super Strip Theatre sometimes known as Dogenzaka Theatre is a pretty good strip club found in Shibuya, Tokyo. It’s known as Dogenzaka Theatre because that’s the large hill just outside the Shibuya JR train station, the hill is called “Dogenzaka” so it’s hard to miss it in Shibuya.
Inside Super Strip Theatre all foreigners are very welcome just as they are in Kabukicho’s New Hot Point.
Upon entering Super Strip Theatre the entrance fee is 5,000 Yen or around $50 USD and they even sell alcohol or non alcoholic drinks from vending machines inside the venue. Once you pay the entrance fee and take a seat the dancers will come out and do a number of performances starting fully clothed and by the end of their set will be completely nude and rather X-rated.
After the dancers sets end the ladies will visit each customer and you can purchase photographs with your favourite women for $5 USD each and they will hand you the photos before you leave Super Strip Theatre.
Each show time has 8 different ladies performing and quite often they will have famous Japanese Adult Video stars appearing so depending on the day it can get very busy. Also at Super Strip Theatre, Japanese is not a requirement and you can get by just with hand signals or some staff will be able to speak very basic enough English that there will be no problems.
Here is the Super Strip Theatre website and you can find them on Google Maps here
The strip club can be reached via telephone and e-mail for further enquiries:

Hair
Diane Paulus’ production of Gerome Ragni and James Rado’s rock musical “Hair” offers a personal, interactive view into the lives of a group of American teenagers during the 1960s and the era of the Vietnam War. The group, or the “Tribe” as it’s referred to in the show, is on a journey to spread peace and love and protest the war. The Tribe, led by Claude (Noah Plomgren), Berger (Brian Crawford Scott), and Sheila (Mary Kate Morrissey) decide to stage a protest by burning their draft cards, but when the time comes for Claude to throw his in the fire, he is unable to do so. Ultimately, Claude must decide whether to resist the draft like the rest of the Tribe, or give in to the pressures of society and his parents, compromising everything he stands for. The show is somewhat Claude’s journey to find himself, while the audience is offered the opportunity to pick the brains of the hippies through audience-actor interaction, and also see the rhyme and reason behind what the teenagers of the 1960s really stood for.
The scenic design in this production of “Hair” was done by Scott Pask, and it worked well with the show, as the setting is in a theatre. The backdrop was a sunburst that changed colors throughout the show, with a truck painted in bright colors on the right side of the stage, with the band on the left side. The rest of the scenic design was minimal and represented an actual theatre in which the actors were aware of the audience. Because there are so many actors on stage at any given time, having as little as possible on stage allows the audience to be less distracted by the scenery and focus in more on what’s playing out on stage. Also, there are many different settings that come into play during the show. For example, at one point, Claude is arguing with his parents about his lifestyle and going off to war, and at another point, he’s hallucinating after having a bad trip, in which the other actors become crazy characters such as Abraham Lincoln and John Wilkes Booth. Not having much in the way of scenery allows many different scenes and settings to take place, and it was beneficial in this production. Michael McDonald was in charge of costume design, and all of the costume choices successfully reflected the time period. Berger (Scott) opened the show wearing a vest and fringe, and his hair was past his shoulders. Crissy (Dana Gitlin) wore a babydoll peasant top with bell bottoms, and Claude (Plomgren) wore his hair long along with beads, a headband, and loose fitting jeans with the British flag on the back. The rest of the tribe wore bell bottoms, bikini-like tops, paisley, afros, and belly-baring shirts. At the end, Claude’s hair is neatly trimmed and he’s wearing an army uniform. Overall, the costume design lent a lot to the feeling of the production as a whole. The lighting design, done by Joel E. Silver, worked well in reflecting the mood of different parts of the production overall. During most of the dialogue between Tribe members, there was basic yellow light, but when, for example, Claude’s parents were yelling at him, at one point the whole stage went black except for a spotlight on them. During the draft card burning scene, the lighting was focused on the trash can in which the cards were being burned. At the end of Act 1, when the actors stripped down, the light became dim and purple, tastefully handling a scene from the production that has been controversial since it first appeared Off-Broadway in the late 1960s. The most powerful use of lighting, for me, however was at the end of Act 2 when all the other Tribe members run off the stage in the dark and Claude is left lying motionless on an American flag with the spotlight focused solely on him as snow falls softly onto him, implying his death in the war. It was a moment that gave me chills, as I’m sure it did for many other audience members.

Bright Ideas: 2/13/13
Bright Ideas Summary
Eric Coble’s “Bright Ideas” took to the stage at the Corner Playhouse and left the audience laughing, groaning, and sitting in complete shock throughout the majority of the play. The plot goes as such: a hard-working couple has every intention on getting their son, Mack, into the best possible preschool they can, which, in this case, is a prestigious, Ivy-League-priming preschool called Bright Ideas. Genevra (Lynett Vallejo)’s co-worker Denise (Maddie Byrne)’s son has gotten in as a result of a generous donation to the school, and the Bradleys conspire to get her out of the picture so that Mack can have the future that his parents didn’t. Their idea? Invite Denise over for dinner, poison some pesto, serve it to her, and blame her death on a heart attack. Even though both experience serious jitters and cold feet before the deadly deed, they nevertheless succeed and rise to Bright Ideas stardom, becoming crazier parents (namely, Genevra) every step of the way.
With the actors being college students, I didn’t set my expectations to that of a show I’d see in New York City, but I was pleasantly surprised. With the exception of Genevra and Josh (Drake Krueger), the other characters were played by the same three people (Katie Bartow, Grace Pinegar, and Maddie Byrne), rotating seamlessly between their characters’ personalities. This was impressive to me, and even with the quick changes, I didn’t find much to criticize regarding movement from character to character. Vallejo was convincing as a mother going steadily insane from trying to do the best for her child, and Krueger was hilariously dry as Josh, providing much of the laughs throughout the show. Maddie Byrne also did a nice job with Denise, and I commend her on being able to stay still and keep her face in the “pesto” for so long. There were a few glitches in the acting, but, overall, the actors were believable.
I found the choice of costumes interesting, as well, and how they progressed with the rest of the play. At the beginning of the play, Genevra is wearing a long, conservative red skirt with an ivory tank top and matching cardigan, while Josh is wearing a nice, button down shirt. After Denise’s death and Mack’s acceptance to Bright Ideas, Genevra comes out wearing jeans, shiny flats, and a more vibrant shirt, while Josh is wearing a flannel shirt with jeans. Her hair is also let down, rather than being tied back at the beginning. At the end of the play, at Mack’s fourth birthday party (which, we’re told, is the most important birthday of all) Genevra is wearing a sparkly, short gold dress. To me, it symbolized that, as the play went on, how Genevra needed to be the best of the best and have the best things in order to compete with the rest of the parents at Bright Ideas, and also her descendance into madness. This is also made evident in her change of cell phone. At the beginning of the play, she has a simple flip phone. At the end of the play, she now has an iPhone, like the other parents, along with a new video camera.
There wasn’t much as far as set design, but it worked that way. So much craziness and absurdity was occurring in the play that I feel as though having a complex set (or, real children, for that matter) would have distracted from the play’s focus, which, from my research, I’ve concluded as a way of Eric Coble warning future couples from becoming “helicopter parents.” Having the actors talk to their children in the distance without being able to see them makes for greater engagement for the audience members, as they have to imagine what is going on as the characters speak. I found this effective for keeping the play different and interesting.
  Review Portion
MU Theatre’s Corner Playhouse may be small in size, but the showing of Eric Coble’s “Bright Ideas” was large on dry, dark humor on February 10, 2013. Directed by Brad Stephenson, the play offered a modern twist on the classic Shakespeare play, “MacBeth.” However, instead of being set in Scotland, “Bright Ideas” is a dark comedy set in an American suburb, focusing around two parents intent on getting their three year old son into the most prestigious preschool around, named, as the play, Bright Ideas. There’s some homicide and some pesto, some crazed parents and lots of laughter throughout, and it’s something that I wouldn’t recommend overlooking. Although the actors are young and in their early stages of experiencing their own lives, they brought their characters as parents to life onstage, offering an entertaining experience for all.
