It has literally been YEEEARS since something in rap has truly excited me (tho to be honest, I haven't really been looking) But my homie put me on to Eshon Burgundy yesterday, and after listening to a handful of songs, I already had to buy his most recent project, and I definitely plan on getting more. I have dedicated my life to Christ, and my entertainment needs to fall in line with that position. And as a student/fan of the technical aspects of rapping, just the fact that someone talks about Christ isn't going to keep my attention (I'd rather just listen to an actual sermon). For rap to satisfy what I'm looking for spiritually (and by spiritually, I do mean Jesus, not just "spiritual") and musically can be very hard, and I can admit that I'm probably more difficult than most. But the point is, this man gets it done. And you know what is so wonderful? That this is overtly Christian music (I actually started worshipping during "Bless Ya Name" lol...but I'm so serious). For My flesh is food indeed, and My blood is drink indeed. Thus all who eat My flesh and drink My blood live in Me, and I in them. I am The Living Bread which came down from Heaven! Therefore, again I say to you, celebrate Passover, yet not as in the days of Moses; nor as the unbelieving in Israel, upon whom the veil remains, for they have yet to look upon Me.[9] For the Passover was a signpost, a shadow of glorious things to come.[10] Read the writing thereof and have understanding, take its meaning to heart.[11] For the Holy Days are revelation, the Plan of the Ages revealed.

Therefore rejoice, My people, for your Redeemer lives! Death has passed over you!...
