      During his time as a villain, Izuku had picked up quite a few habits that he wouldn't have ever seen himself taking part in. Namely, alcohol and nicotine. He didn't particularly enjoy either, and it wasn't something he did all too often, but when he was stressed out, well... Sometimes he couldn't help himself. He just needed something to quiet down his anxiety, especially with the constant paranoia that the League was coming back for him, and with how trapped he felt at U.A., considering how overbearing the heroes could be sometimes. He couldn't blame them, it would look pretty bad if anything happened to him again, but god did he just want to get away from it all.

      He'd managed to slip away for a bit during lunch, finding his way outside and sitting against the wall surrounding the school, hoping for some peace and quiet as he lit up a cigarette. He wasn't proud that he kept a pack of smokes in his school bag, but you do what you gotta do, right?

     Izuku wonders if he even wants to go back inside once lunch is over -- he didn't want to come back here in the first place. It was upon the insistence of All Might and the other professionals that he'd returned, only for the sake of keeping him safe, surrounded by people who could protect him this time in the case of another villain attack. He didn't belong here. He hardly paid attention in class these days, so what would he be missing, anyways? Why didn't he just go --

     His spiraling thoughts are brought to a halt when he catches movement out of the corner of his eye, jumping and almost biting through his cigarette with how startled he was. There stood Katsuki -- was he looking for him after he left the cafeteria? -- and he could already see that judgemental glint in crimson eyes despite thedistance still between them ( or maybe that was just his paranoia acting up again ).

      "I know it's a bad habit, okay?" He starts before the blonde can even open his mouth, blowing the smoke away from him. He'd really like to avoid an argument here, if he could. "It just helps take the edge off, that's all."
