Imagine being Stanley Pines: All your life you’ve been compared to your brother who not only was your best friend, but your only friend. And then he has the opportunity of a lifetime, and out of both fear and desperation, you mess up his one chance. He hates you for the rest his life until one day he wants you back. The both of you are now face to face with your trauma and a fight ensues.

After your brother shoves you, you receive a scar. That scar will serve as a reminder as the failure that comes. You shove your brother in his own creation, trapping him. For the next 30 years of your life you will live as him, trying desperately to fix what you broke. And once you finally achieve your goal, your brother reminds you of all the things you’ve failed to do.

when you think about it, it's kind of sad that gimyung (jake) isn't known for his own name but rather as "kim gabryong's son",

all his achievements will be underestimated, with people saying things like "of course hes good, hes Gabryong's son" or "its only natural he's talented, he has dragon blood".

no wonder his hatred for his father keeps flaming..

I always did like the Amnesiac Villain trope. Where the Heroes find one of their villains after a battle, and see the villain is not only alive, but is actually being a really good person. They learn that the villain has no memories of their past and is just a genuinely nice and kind individual. Now the fun comes in when the heroes have to debate if this is real or a rouse.

I think the trope works best when it is genuine, but the villain slowly starts remembering, but instead of accepting it is HORRIFIED by it. They dont want to become the monster they once were.

I dont know if its been done, but I think the trope would be perfect if during an attack from a new villain, one where the heroes are struggling, the amnesiac villain must then remember everything and actually joins in to save the day. But instead of people accepting the villain, they all become scared. They want the villain to leave, they see the villain as a monster. And that tragedy, that anger, snaps them back into villainy.

If I had a nickel for every time an iconic ship got blown up during a kidnapping, and to recover the kid, the heroes had to acquire intel by rescuing a former Imperial and hijacking a Juggernaut from an Imperial facility....
